#library of ruina #netzach #netzach lor #yesod #yesod lor #intimacy. i suppose romantic? what ever is wanted. regardless of what the affection could be categorized as its still affection #mister viper. looked briefly into it so i dont know the particulars but it seems that venomous snakes dont really curl around their prey #considering the toxins would immobilize with out a need to go ahead and hold them down. not to say that they Dont curl but constriction is #more typically thought of as pythons or boas. mister boa. hehehe.#netz is typically just happy to be in the presence of or around those he likes. see carmen for example. so physical grounded touch to affirm #the fact of proximity and. i guess realness? would be nice i think. ability to wait and still stay by the side i guess. he has a thing with #expecting or thinking things to leave. not as much anymore and being more brave or fearless inspite of that preconceived notion but still #i cant quite articulate it the way i want it but its the general idea resigned acceptance now turning to budding change yet still there #which is why it can be scary. or had seemed pointless to go ahead and fight against an inevitable. so just a kind of physical reassurance #and patience and staying is nice. for yesod its to where i wanted him to typically be drawn w his arms on the outside isntead of boxed in?#a thing w restriction. if youre hugged and your arms are on the inside you lose that mobility and ability to move. feels like it would be a #comfort thing to just be able to have the arms in a position that can move even if logically it is alright and a safe environment #i wanted netzs hold to be there and present still but kind of lazy? dual nature of have it more limp or lax bc its netz but also bc it would #have it to where it wouldnt be confining. but still embracing. sort of thing #also w the sheets. based a little off my own experiences? remind of it. when overstimulated or just in HELL mentally sheets and blankets #feel like they tangle and bind and serve to distress than anything positive. so yk. duality of man. weighted blanket to be encased in a #cacoon or no sheets at all to be free and able to move. but yeah. main idea. also then realized that id have to draw more bc of that #[cent miscellaneous]#there was more but they were Too Sketchy... tis okay. suprised i was able to get anything done rn in the first place even if small #... i never thought abt it i guess these are kinda requests. i mean thats chill and fun but like. huh

14. Is there a character or ship you were sure you would never write/draw but now you've changed your mind?

I never expected to do much with Yen Sid, haha, and yet he ended up being Baldr's mentor in "Fill the Cracks with Gold." He was never a character I was particularly interested in, but sending Baldr to the Mysterious Tower (and, therefore, away from Scala) made sense, and the story...I won't say it made me like him that much more, but it did at least get me thinking more about what his history was in KH, haha.

24. What's your favorite thing about [character]?

Since no character was specified for this one, I'm just going to run through the Union Leaders, haha. I don't know if these are like--favorite favorite things, but they're things I like about all of them!

Ephemer: As a writer, I love writing about him getting into (and causing) shenanigans due to his curiosity, haha, but as a reader/player, I just love like--there's something very compelling about the idea of him learning how to live again after his home fell apart and being able to make a place for his friends to come back to, even if they never see each other again. Like--I know we don't actually get to see his recovery in canon, but it's still just. A very cool thing.

Skuld: Despite Skuld being one of my favorite characters, I kind of just sat here for a while and went, "...Uh. Everything?" Like--I love that she's so driven, I love both her kindness and commitment to justice, I love the flashes of anger we get to see, and as a writer, I love getting to expand on things that the game didn't have space to show us (ex. how did going back to the Keyblade War affect her? does she have any qualms about deceiving the Dandelions? what kind of shenanigans can she get into with Ephemer and the Player?). Also, the idea of her being Subject X is so fascinating, and if it is canon, I'm really excited to see how that plays out.

Brain: I feel like every time I write Brain, I'm just going, "Hey, did you know he really loves his friends? Don't let the 'cool guy' facade fool you, he really loves his friends, guys." And I just--love that despite how suspicious he seems on the outside, he still cares so much about the Dandelions and other Union Leaders.

Lauriam: I love his kindness...and I also find it really interesting that he ends up becoming Marluxia, despite this. Like--there is something very fascinating about a character who starts out very caring (even if he has flashes of anger), and then ends up descending into villainy. Like--he gives up everything about him that his younger siblings loved because he's so desperate to regain his memories of them, and the tragedy of that is just--man.

Ven: His story in KHUX makes me go feral. Like. He was a lonely kid who just wanted friends, and he got them, but at a terrible price, and then he sacrifices himself for those friends anyways, and it's just--man. MAN. The fact that he starts UX so unsure of himself, and then he's able to be brave at the end in order to save his friends, even if everything went wrong--I just. It makes me feel a lot of emotions.

Had a weird Hollow Knight-related dream a couple days ago, so I decided to draw a major scene I remembered from it dgsgshf

#hollow knight #little ghost #hk ghost #the knight #hk hornet #hornet #alright. as of writing these tags it's been a week since the original dream so! let's see what i remember dgsgsgf #i was playing a game. which was a sequel to hollow knight ((Not silksong though))#there was some new sort of divine infection in hallownest and hornet had asked ghost to investigate it. they ended the last one after all!#the red glowy spike gate thingy is what you jumped into to enter the 'infected' areas #though it actually led directly to a hub world type of place. which was kinda like an expanded base for the grimm troupe?#more like an entire lair instead of a camp. also some greek gods were there for some reason lmao. they had their own special rooms too #so sidenote but- new headcanon that there are grimm troupe members named ares athena artemis &... venus lmao. not aphrodite for some reason #also monomon was there?? i think??? except she was cooking????? she had a sidequest to deliver something to someone though i dunno hdgfhdgh #i remember going back to the grimm troupe lair a couple times throughout my 'playthrough'#anyway. the 'infection' this time around was more of a glitchy physical corruption thing? rather than a mind corruption.#though there were still aggressive enemies to fight. but i remember getting a map from cornifer early on and he was. probably infected #i think part of his body was covered in electricity or something? so he wasn't fully visible? but he was still acting normally #there was also a moth who was the seer but then later wasn't the seer (but was still the same moth) dghgdhf. i delivered stuff to her #that glowing white wall thing in the drawing was like a one-way gate. you could only cross it from the other side and ghost came from there #i guess things looped back up somehow i dunno ghdgfhgf #anyway. ghost's red eyes. those are significant! those happened while i was walking through a corridor. it had pools of shallow water #(shallow enough to just walk through) and also creatures that were lightseeds but red.the implication was that they were full of Blood lmao #and as i went along killing them--as one does--as i walked through the hall. they started turning the water red too #there was also narration about this as it was happening ashdgsf. specifically the narrator said the water turned red before it actually did #ghost's eyes slowly turned red too. but aside from that they were fine! since. they're the player character and the player is perfectly fin #BUT. when they encountered hornet again. she thought they were infected. and that she lost the only family she had left </3 #she didn't attack though. instead she just jumped into the red spike gate without a word. decided to try to fix everything herself #but eventually you'd encounter her again down below and she'd fight you. didn't actually get to that in the dream though #aand i'm out of tags </3 i wanted to talk about what i'd do to make this make more sense as an au or something now that i'm awake but. :c

#Alright I got tragically interrupted while watching it but I'm finally finished watching the episode!!#It's really really good both the animation and drawings are very detailed compared to the rest of the anime but...#The pace is so off :((( Like it's not the end of the world but ugh. It's unfortunate...#So many things just don't hit off as deeply because everything is moving so fast all the time and there's no time to process anything.#They won't allow you one second for the last line of a scene to sink in that the next scene's ost is already playing.#And like it's not even the worst crime an anime can commit I guess but still...#I wish they didn't. Like rather than make a 13 episodes season and squeeze the Sky Casino arc in merely two episodes it would have been–#a lot better to finish the season at the previous episode and make 12 episodes out of everything (so that everything could be better paced)#Like yeah maybe it's not the best season ending that there can be but... It's not terrible either‚ you have Atsushi saying the line–#“there's still hope” and the season ending there‚ that's pretty cool #I don't know why everyone feels like they have to rush all the time.#Guys do I have to be the one to remind you you make more money if more season come out.#Like how can the knowledge of Sigma being made by the book have any kind of impact when we've only known him for ten minutes.#Teruko's looking mad AND looking cutesy AND blowing up the landing zone didn't have the same comedic effect they did in the manga because..#It just happened all together! Countries are pushing towards a complete digital money transition.#In 50 years or so coins may not be circulating anymore and today already the impact of this terrorist plot would be a lot smaller–#compared to when the chapters were coming out. #Where The River Meets The Soul #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #this is…okay but kinda got away from itself.#It’s a bit all over the place; the pacing is odd; and POVs are inconsistent - especially being all in first person #(the labeling of chapters with [character]’s POV rather than just their name didn’t help either.) the prose is pretty uninteresting.#I thought the slow-paced first half was alright but then the plot got a bit more intense and it just kinda lost me.#In the middle it switches to the POV of the antagonist and it’s like - overly explaining why she makes the decisions she does #but also in a way that just makes no sense?#I feel like it would have been better for us to find out about her betrayal along with the MCs rather than #suddenly giving us a bunch of her POV to show why she’s suddenly evil now.#Also there’s a bit where she finds her father’s secret journal titled: my secret journal lmao. (not quite literally but also BASICALLY that #I liked some of the main characters; it’s nice to have Black main characters in a cozy-adjacent fantasy; and an ace MC and genderfluid love #I liked the subversion of soulmates even if I think that could have been done a bit more interestingly.#The reincarnated soulmates stuff felt like it took over most of the story yet somehow was also just a background thing.#Also - the MC barely thinks about her dying sister at all? Not even at the end!#I mainly read this because the MC is ace and her being ace is basically mentioned once.#(other than I guess the nature of the romance having no sex).#Which is fine but it probably wasn’t worth reading for that for me personally lol.

#is/has anyone here taken a levels?#because i hate it #that's it that's the post #can't wait to finish this torture #i hate mechanics i hate kinetic energy i hate projectiles and i hate parabolas #i hate second order diffrential equations and i hate integration #i don't know WHAT'S about to hit me in university even though I'm taking computer science #i guess if maths/fm is a requirement for uni admissions then a lot of it will come in its syllabus #thankfully i've been told that statistics is of more use to me than mechanics #bad news is i've also been told statistics is much much harder than mechanics #good news is statistics isn't my problem until august #or 2026 august if i fail these exams #tbh i think i'll be alright with cs and regular maths #further maths is the real challenge #help #guplia rants #posts that will get no more than 2 notes #A levels #AS levels #<- highly doubt anyone on tumblr uses these tags unless its to show off their study setups or tips for choosing your subjects or whatever

Having conniptions in my room because I know I'm going to end up in grad school one way or another

#kudos to one of my profs for saying i'm 'destined for it' asdfghfds #i want to. but it's haaard...#even moreso because i have to be a hard-ass. i know i'll want to do a thesis instead of a major research paper #because i'm a masochist i guess? and leaves the phd option more open #irl i don't talk a lot about my academic achievements because idk why would i? but i will say. humbly. that i have a very high gpa.#and have collected 8-10 awards or scholarships (some i've gotten more than once hence the weird number)#and i work in one of the school libraries and am chummy with the faculty + the chair of the program #so i think i'm doing pretty fucking okay. alright no more bragging #i want to get my master's but i also feel like if i don't then i'm wasting something #most of us on tumblr are pretentious academics now anyway lol. what's one more
