Can you talk about the ridiculous anti lolisho nature of new gen furries because it’s ridiculous, as a old furry myself who used to get called a zoophille for it it’s ridiculous also I’m a shotacon and furry so….

I mean what's there to say... It's sad and a bit infuriating to see, honestly, but that's what happens every time a certain group becomes a little bit more mainstream: they turn to the group after them in line and start acting all high and mighty and morally superior in order to separate themselves from "those other nasty freaks".

Like, this is what happened the SECOND anime became mainstream. People are super quick to forget what it was like to be "the freak" people bullied over their interests because deep down what they all want is to be on the other side, to be the ones doing the pointing and sneering. To be the bully so not to be the bullied one ever again. And the fans that will come after will see this attitude and assimilate it as The Norm and act accordingly.

This is why I don't interact with any community ever. Anime going mainstream WAS a mistake because if I could I'd go back to the time where you could barely get any manga outside of a comic book store and where I got weird looks for "liking kids cartoons" in an INSTANT. Because at least back then we had a sense of community and we LIKED being weird because we looked at the ones mocking us and saw how sad their lives were but NO, normies had to come in and start watching anime and start categorising "good anime" and "weirdo anime" and people FOLLOWED because now the bullies were among us and the only thing people know how to do is bow their head and go follow like some fucking sheeps.

Heck, this is why I hate the whole "mh actually I like BL, NOT yaoi, that shit's nasty" new gen of yaoi fans with their Sasaki to Miyano and fucking Heartstopper and absolutely no concept of what a good story actually is.

But since I'm almost 30 and I don't have time to be pissed 24/7, I simply live in my bubble with my friends where it's still the 2000s/first half ot the 2010s and I sporadically try to educate a few to do my part as someone who lived in the fandom space pre 2016 (because all went to shit in 2016, it escalated and exploded in 2020 but that's when it started to be serious *looks at Voltron and the Age Gap Discourse*).

So my advice is to just... Live your life, enjoy it, you only get one and to waste it always screaming at clouds only makes it more bitter. By all means, try to engage in good conversation, try to dialogue and educate, fight some battles! But you can't fight them all otherwise you'll constantly feel like losing every single one of them...

Find your place, find your community and thrive, because that's the real win against those who hate us.

OH. HUH. FUN QUESTION. i feel like. i am a terrible person to ask for thoughts on things like this because the extent of my writing is like, gay ass character studies & shit. but. i do have a ton of thoughts on fucked up towns.

the most important thing, i personally think, is having your town be grounded in a real regional place and it has to be a place you love. it's so difficult to make that shit up from scratch and still carry a real weight. and the horror or strangeness or sadness of the town should come from the reality of it.

picking a few of the easiest examples: welcome to night vale, night in the woods, h.p. lovecraft's miskatonic county. the fucked-up-ness of all of them springs from the nature of the place itself. they're not interchangeable, and they all have different emotions linked with them.

night vale is, very loosely, a satire of unbothered american suburbia in the face of-- well. all the horrific shit that post-9/11 unbothered americana ignores! and the strangeness and beauty of the setting comes from the easy and pleasant and mundane way that its citizens interact with the horror. it's day-to-day, it's chill, it's normal. yeah the faceless old lady who lives in your home is running for mayor. yeah the angels who work the community garden and live with josie finally won the case for their existence we can acknowledge them now cool. (& also of course night vale is a southwestern desert town & it doesn't let u forget that!! it's hot and sunny in the day and cold at night and there's sand dunes out by the edge of town and beaches with no lakes and it is very grounded in its setting!!)

possum falls from nitw, on the other hand, is a love letter to to those old, death spiraling pennsylvania rust belt mining towns. it isn't as heavily supernatural of a setting (outside of the old god in the mines the elders are sacrificing the most vulnerable members of the community to for nothing but the continued hollow, wheezing survival of something that should be allowed to die) but it's very grounded in the reality of those places-- the omnipresent forest, the dinky grocery store, your old high school classmate sitting out on her apartment steps at sunset, the feeling of being out in the autumn cold at dusk and the empty subway station and the weathered, half-hearted historical remnants of local pride and the ghost of the closed mine over it all. the type of dead-end, black hole, potholed main street town that you know you're gonna live and die in because it's what your parents did and what their parents did and god knows how you'd even make it out.

lovecraft-- i mean, mandatory disclaimer on his insane racism of course. up to u if u wanna read of his work, a lot of his short stories r very short etc. but crucially, for what we're talking about here, lovecraft was fucking in love with new england in the way that people who r born and raised in new england r insane about it. his lovecraft country/miskatonic county/arkham county is set in massachusetts, and he's very clear about why everything's set in mass: bleak, lonely, ancient, haunted by the sea and the lingering ghosts of twisted puritan ideology. his fucked up towns are the dark hidden backwoods, the port towns, the wretched things brought by settlers who have been a parasite upon the woods and the rocks and the fields for hundreds of years, etc, the feeling that something has gone wrong and perverted here and it's far too late to fix it.

so like, tl;dr-- don't try and make somewherw generically weird. figure out what place makes YOU go crazy go stupid. pinpoint Why it specifically makes u go crazy go stupid, as opposed to everywhere else. crank that shit up to 100!!!!

Aran from inarizaki was one my faves the first time I watched season 4 but I'm not far enough in my rewatch to determine if he still is (I just started the inarizaki vs karasuno game/arc lol)

I also had the idea that some of the characters from Lemon Demon songs could be in the roles for some of the antagonists/characters. (Like Cabinet Man being used in the fight fighters episode instead of rumble mcskirmish and Samuel and Rosella as the two ghosts in the inconveniencing)

And I know hobo Ryan isn't in the nkotr universe, but I think he'd fit well as Mcgucket. Either him or Old Man Cooper.

As for the Spooky Manor Demon, they'd probably be the Halloween candy monster (I forgot what his name was) or the ghost in the northwest manor episode

26 Damian would purposely avoid fighting with Damian (for time travel reasons and also because Damian, still is as much as he denies is a child) and that would absolutely throw Damian even more over the edge. He would go straight up for the slash first, ask second lol.

I think this is why I am consciously avoiding pair them up together, they are too powerful. I'm afraid what could come out of it.

(Also time traveling reasons, I'm very picky with time travel shenanigans. I believe breaking the rules of time travel brings bad luck. And this is a nice time line so it should not go through any bad luck).

I also would say that future Damian takes honor and his personal moral code very seriously (He is indeed still Damian, just a little more mature and less impulse – kinda–). There's nothing honorable in fighting with a child, and fighting with you past self would be as he would say "embarrassedly stupid, why would I hurt myself? I could ended up killing me and no one would gain anything from that."

I do believe though if Damian pushed future!Damian enough he would eventually go for a fight "If the kid wants to lear a lesson in the hard way. He will." pretty simple.

As I said, too powerful, let's spare them from the headache lol.
