What if Percy gets transported back to the PJO world pregnant with a child! Like, it could be from any one of her lovers (yanderes) and then Hera wipes her memory - which she freaks out because... What the heck?! She married her father, uncle, cousin, and an emo! And she had a child with them on the way - and Percy doesn't remember anything - or will she knows she's pregnant but have no idea how or who the father is (mother's instinct) - and she's like training with Lupa and arrives at Camp Jupiter with a infant that looks exactly like their father. And the gods, in their roman forms, are confused as heck! Like, why does that baby have my godly aura?!
And pandemonium.
What I want to know is how her friends will react from camp-half blood and Nico! Especially if her child is the son of ROR Hades.
THIS IS LITERALLY LIKE THE OG SLEEPING BEAUTY ASIFGWYGV KINDA
in the og, sleeping beauty gets raped by the prince? king? i can't remember, but basically she gets pregnant and wakes up to the babies coming out or something like that
i think after hera kidnapped percy she put him to sleep for a few months and then sent him to the wolf house... soooo when our percy wakes, it'd already be four months. by then, there'd be a slightly noticeable bump
can you imagine waking up and realizing you're pregnant, but not even remembering HOW? were you raped? were you married? how did this happen?! our poor girl's gonna go through so much, because i doubt lupa would care. she's a greek who was sent by hera, she's not getting any mercy from the wolf.
she stays in the wolf house until june. she's out in the wilderness. no proper shelter. probably has to hunt for her own food. no doctors/hospitals around so no proper natal care too. she'd have to go through all that AND find a way to camp jupiter. i think the only reason she doesn't miscarry is cuz she's carrying a god's child 😣
she'll already be SIX MONTHS PREGNANT, by the time she gets to camp and even then she won't have a break cuz she's IMMEDIATELY going to be sent on a quest. i know camp jupiter is strict, but i doubt they'd be willing to send a pregnant girl to a dangerous quest, but they have no choice cuz it's mars telling them too. frank and hazel would be quite protective of her cuz of her state at least
and then she gets her memories back and realizes she's carrying a GOD'S baby and has a bunch god lovers, and none of them are here cuz they're from a new universe asehfahfgv
i feel SO bad for percy cuz one month later, in july, she and anthonius would fall into tartarus. she would be SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT. and in fucking TARTARUS.
you can probably imagine the absolute fury her yandere lovers would feel 💀💀💀

honestly i've always gotten the vibe that shuuichi is just. SO offline. man whos only social media is a facebook he uses once a year to say hi to distant family energy. he WOULD like nerdy stuff but his friends have to show it to him first
You see this feels more right to me. I feel like Shuichi would like nerdy things but only goes by word of mouth recommendation. His ass is NOT on Twitter
Which also has hilarious implications if we’re considering pregame as canon. Because pregame shuichi was DEFINITELY chronically online and posting all kinds of danganronpa fan stuff. Imagine postgame shuichi gaining access to these accounts. What a nightmare

Oh wait
You like fucked up towns?
Do you perhaps have any thoughts on towns and how to make them more fucked up? :]
(^^ words of something trying to make a small town map that’s fucked up)
OH. HUH. FUN QUESTION. i feel like. i am a terrible person to ask for thoughts on things like this because the extent of my writing is like, gay ass character studies & shit. but. i do have a ton of thoughts on fucked up towns.
the most important thing, i personally think, is having your town be grounded in a real regional place and it has to be a place you love. it's so difficult to make that shit up from scratch and still carry a real weight. and the horror or strangeness or sadness of the town should come from the reality of it.
picking a few of the easiest examples: welcome to night vale, night in the woods, h.p. lovecraft's miskatonic county. the fucked-up-ness of all of them springs from the nature of the place itself. they're not interchangeable, and they all have different emotions linked with them.
night vale is, very loosely, a satire of unbothered american suburbia in the face of-- well. all the horrific shit that post-9/11 unbothered americana ignores! and the strangeness and beauty of the setting comes from the easy and pleasant and mundane way that its citizens interact with the horror. it's day-to-day, it's chill, it's normal. yeah the faceless old lady who lives in your home is running for mayor. yeah the angels who work the community garden and live with josie finally won the case for their existence we can acknowledge them now cool. (& also of course night vale is a southwestern desert town & it doesn't let u forget that!! it's hot and sunny in the day and cold at night and there's sand dunes out by the edge of town and beaches with no lakes and it is very grounded in its setting!!)
possum falls from nitw, on the other hand, is a love letter to to those old, death spiraling pennsylvania rust belt mining towns. it isn't as heavily supernatural of a setting (outside of the old god in the mines the elders are sacrificing the most vulnerable members of the community to for nothing but the continued hollow, wheezing survival of something that should be allowed to die) but it's very grounded in the reality of those places-- the omnipresent forest, the dinky grocery store, your old high school classmate sitting out on her apartment steps at sunset, the feeling of being out in the autumn cold at dusk and the empty subway station and the weathered, half-hearted historical remnants of local pride and the ghost of the closed mine over it all. the type of dead-end, black hole, potholed main street town that you know you're gonna live and die in because it's what your parents did and what their parents did and god knows how you'd even make it out.
lovecraft-- i mean, mandatory disclaimer on his insane racism of course. up to u if u wanna read of his work, a lot of his short stories r very short etc. but crucially, for what we're talking about here, lovecraft was fucking in love with new england in the way that people who r born and raised in new england r insane about it. his lovecraft country/miskatonic county/arkham county is set in massachusetts, and he's very clear about why everything's set in mass: bleak, lonely, ancient, haunted by the sea and the lingering ghosts of twisted puritan ideology. his fucked up towns are the dark hidden backwoods, the port towns, the wretched things brought by settlers who have been a parasite upon the woods and the rocks and the fields for hundreds of years, etc, the feeling that something has gone wrong and perverted here and it's far too late to fix it.
so like, tl;dr-- don't try and make somewherw generically weird. figure out what place makes YOU go crazy go stupid. pinpoint Why it specifically makes u go crazy go stupid, as opposed to everywhere else. crank that shit up to 100!!!!

I wanted this piece to be about the things that Lucy and Delphei find charming about each other - so Delphei is charmed by Lucy's keen eye and caring heart, and Lucy is charmed by Delphei's musical skill and sweetness.

who are ur hq favs
Oughhh that's such a hard question bc the characters are so fucking lovable
From karasuno tsukishima, ennoshita, saeko yachi, and kiyoko are long time favorites
Aran from inarizaki was one my faves the first time I watched season 4 but I'm not far enough in my rewatch to determine if he still is (I just started the inarizaki vs karasuno game/arc lol)
I haven't watched haikyuu since season 4 came out so it's been a good while. I'm honestly been thinking more of friendships I adore more so than characters as a whole during my current watch. I love aone and hinata's friendship. Anyone who befriends tsukishima honestly. Or like daichi and kuro.
I do have a new found love for akaashi and yamaguchi tho

Hi! What do you think about Antoinette's storyline and do you think Lestat really intended to include her in the household or was this some sort of unreliable narrative?
Hi! It was pretty thin to me, but I think that made sense in the context of Louis being the one telling her story, and him pretty clearly not wanting to think about her at all and wanting to diminish Lestat's relationship with her. I'm curious if we get to see a bit more of her in Lestat flashbacks in the future, as I imagine that would paint a really different picture to the one Louis did.
As for whether Lestat really intended to include her in the household, I think you could make the argument either way. He clearly liked her enough to keep her around for as long as he did, and in a lot of ways, she's a link to his humanity in a way that Louis isn't. Music is, in Louis' own words from 1.02, where Lestat separates man from meal, and Antoinette being a singer - and a singer Lestat respects enough to perform and record with - is something we're told is real to Lestat.
It actually opens up an interesting thread to me in that sense with Louis and Claudia telling Lestat to kill Antoinette, because it's symbolic of more than just the death of a lover, but in they themselves wanting to further sever that thread to Lestat's humanity. He's done it to the two of them too, of course, but Lestat's both helped to grow Louis' ties to humanity with (i.e. through Azalea's), and twisted and perverted them (i.e. bringing the soldiers home after Louis fucks Jonah).
Music is the one grounding in humanity Lestat still has (or at least, Louis sees Lestat as having), and over the course of the season, it actually shifts from an external love to an internal one, which I think really reflects the increasing insularity of the family. It's a love and a connection that goes from the public (the opera) to a space that belongs to them (Lestat playing piano at Louis' club) to personal (Lestat recording Antoinette to provoke Louis) and finally, completely private (Lestat teaching Claudia to play at home).
Depending on how you want to look at it, you can see that arc as being about Lestat's increasingly suffocating presence in Louis' life, or you can see it as Louis staying true to his words in the finale 'I wanted him all to myself'. He's caught the end of the thread of Lestat's humanity and he's trying to wind the whole thing up and keep it. He wants to be the one to choose how Lestat shares it - at his club, with their daughter - and Lestat knows that, which is why weaponising it against him in the recording, and Louis shattering the record and stabbing Lestat with it, before seemingly fucking him and feeding on him in Antoinette's house, is such a perfect beat.
(Personally, I do see it as both.)
In that sense though, Lestat turning Antoinette could've been genuine. Maybe he did want to take her with them. He's on the backfoot with the family, he suspects his sister-daughter is trying to kill him, he doesn't trust Louis anymore. Antoinette's clearly a comfort to him, she loves him, which is important to him, they share music together, something Lestat and Louis do only as audience, she listens to him and pays attention to him, and turning her gives him more power in the family again. Antoinette can read Claudia and Louis' minds, she'll be on Lestat's side instead of Louis' like Claudia is, and, of course, she's both a tool to make Louis jealous and a balm for his own jealousy.
That said, I think it can also be read as Lestat just using her specifically to figure out what Claudia and Louis' plan is, and that he knows turning her will result in her death because there's no way either Claudia and Louis would allow her into the fold. He won't kill her himself, but it could be him baiting the other two into getting rid of her for him.
What do you think?

I know it's been like a full year but I just remembered that fanart you drew of a nkotr gravity falls au... iirc you said you were going to post more stuff about it, and while it's 1000% okay that you never really did (god knows I have a lot of ideas I never follow up on) if you ever had even just a few more vaguely defined ideas about the concept I'd still like to hear them if possible. If not that's fine too, just wanted to let you know I'm Still Thinking About It (/positive)
I'm so glad glad you remembered my nkotr gravity falls au!! ^_^
I actually did go into a little more detail about the character roles back when I first came up with the au
Neil - dipper
Ryan - mabel
Kevin - grunkle stan
Rocky - waddles
Spencer - soos
Daxter - wendy
Mitch - pacifica
Max - robbie
Luck demon - bill cipher
John Smith - quentin trembly
Quentin trembly was originally gonna be the president from Money Tree, but I feel like John Smith is a lot more fitting.
I also had the idea that some of the characters from Lemon Demon songs could be in the roles for some of the antagonists/characters. (Like Cabinet Man being used in the fight fighters episode instead of rumble mcskirmish and Samuel and Rosella as the two ghosts in the inconveniencing)
And I know hobo Ryan isn't in the nkotr universe, but I think he'd fit well as Mcgucket. Either him or Old Man Cooper.
As for the Spooky Manor Demon, they'd probably be the Halloween candy monster (I forgot what his name was) or the ghost in the northwest manor episode

Caine was the last to realize Pomni was in his residency (He was,, otherwise preoccupied), and was absolutely flabbergasted that Jax did such a thing as raising the dead. Caine has a strict policy on not letting humans(dead or alive) that far down in the C&A facility unaccompanied considering how many monsters reside there. It was one of the few times anyone had seen him properly upset at something Jax had done. Pomni was rightfully freaked the fuck out at a giant pair of floating teeth and eyes saying he's a long-forgotten God, needless to say, their first introductions were confusing on both ends LOL
Understandably, Pomni has a LOT of issues with herself appearance-wise. She avoided mirrors for weeks, and tried her best to keep distant from the others. Caine didn't walk on eggshells around her like the others did as she adjusted and that was something she appreciated, at least provided a little sense of normalcy. He was easy to talk to and remembered EVERY little detail.
Caine can change his form at will, but Pomni prefers his big ol' toothy head because he said he was most comfortable appearing that way.
Everyone has their own unique smells; Zooble smells like brimstone, musk, and campfire, Jax always smells like hand sanitizer and chemicals that make your nose burn, Kinger like old earth and soil, Ragatha smells comforting like your favorite old plushie, and Gangle didn't have much but she liked occasionally putting perfume on her ribbons. But Pomni always has a hint of the smell of death following her. She tried Gangle's perfumes and all sorts of scented soaps but nothing could truly mask or make it go away. It was only when Caine gifted her a bouquet of flowers that the smell was almost forgotten. Hell, maybe the plague doctors with their floral and herb-filled masks were on to something. Since then, Caine often surprised Pomni with fresh flowers, herbs, and plants to the point of her shelves overflowing with vases and pots of flowers in all states. Eventually, she gets to pressing flowers between books as a memento for every flower he's given her.
.
Pomni sometimes needs blood transfusions as her body doesn't make blood anymore but still needs it- she hates needles. Caine and Ragatha alternate sitting with her during it since it can take a few hours at a time and distract her with books or idle chatter until it's done. Caine is an amazing storyteller, he's existed a long time as both a noncorporeal and corporeal being and has countless stories of battles and moments long lost to time. He hasn't really had anyone to share these stories with, and the only other being who was around during all of it, well he doesn't get the chance to talk with him much these days...
Ragatha and Pomni got together first, they spent a lot more time together in the beginning since Caine only popped in once or twice a week usually. He started hanging around longer after a while and I'm getting sidetracked now I'm just imagining Pomni bursting into Ragatha's room sobbing with a "I'M SO SORRY I JUST KISSED CAINE PLEASE FORGIVE ME-" And Ragatha doesn't miss a beat, totally unphased and unbothered, "Ooh nice! Was he any good?" And Pomni's just standing there like "Wait What"
Tumblr media
They are all very bad at communication lmao but they're TRYING THEIR BEST OKAY
Caine is not used to the concept of resting, meanwhile, pretty much all Pomni does in her free time most days is nap or laze around- it took Caine a while to not see it as a waste of time and now loves it when Pomni rests her head in his lap. He likes playing with her hair and watching her sleep peacefully.
Pomni keeps her gloves on often because she doesn't like the sight of her skeletal fingers but absolutely MELTS with palm and backhand kisses.
Caine is very touchy-feely, he rubs backs when talking idly or loops arms together, floats a little closer, and matches their pace when walking together (even imitates walking itself with little bobs in time with whoever he's walking with). On some bad joint days, Pomni has a bit of a limp from her exposed bone leg and Pomni finds it absolutely hilarious when Caine unintentionally matches that movement.
Pomni misses facebook memes a lot :(

Hi! I just wanted to say I really like your blog and the ideas you have for TUA. I have a question if you don't mind? If you've read the comics (I just got to read You Look Like Death and....my head hurt alot after) is there anything you wished they had kept from the comics for the show or vice versa? Personally I wish they had kept Luther and Five being twins in the show. I get why they chose not to do so but come on.
Five doesn't get his dog and then he also doesn't get his biological brother? I love the Pub scene from season 2 and it would have fit really well for them to learn it (just my opinion)
Thank you and I hope you have a lovely day! :)
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy my ideas!! I love asks lmao so no problem at all!
I have read the mainline comics and a few spin offs (the Diego & Vanya band AU one comes to mind??) but I'm a show main sadly. I like the comics as an informant to the show, so generally I prefer how the show depicted things.
I do want to briefly (edit: it was not brief... i am so sorry) talk about the Five DNA thing because that's one of the things I love in the show.
in the comics Five is genetically altered by the commission
Tumblr media
this only works in the comics for me because every character is an asshole, Five especially (he literally prefaces this moment by bragging that he's fucked a lot of women). So for Five to have this excuse? to show horror at the very idea? that's a redeeming quality.
but in the show, they make every character likeable to an extent (recall that in the comics Allison rumours Luther into loving her), so this wouldn't have the same impact because it just makes Five less of his own person - removes the agency from his actions.
Five in the show is someone forced into a corner, and his actions in accepting and carrying out his job as an assassin, as well as his willingness to kill innocents and his own brother throughout s1 show how his experiences have made him desperate and ruthless in his pursuit of love and happiness.
it's a psychological exploration/study.
which to me, is infinitely more interesting. Five doesn't kill the board because his DNA dictates he will, he kills them because he chooses to. He is not cruel because his DNA dictates it, he is cruel because his experiences have made him that way.
and I think overall, this approach is adapted very nicely to fit the tone of the show, as all the same beats are hit. Five has been made into the Commission's killing machine against his will, and he is resentful of it,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but that doesn't mean he can undo the damage done, his psyche is forever attuned to this line of thinking no matter how much he hates it he doesn't know how to break the cycle of violence inflicted on him,
Tumblr media
but because Five hasn't been genetically altered, he is fully responsible for his actions and he has to live with that.
the DNA altering in the show would feel like a cop out to me. and also the interesting aspect from the DNA altering is that he is essentially made into a psychopath (most famous serial killers are - Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, etc.), which means removing his empathy.
because despite his dislike of the non-consenual genetic surgery, comics!five doesn't have empathy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and show!Five is interesting because he has so much empathy, yet he remains a killer. he is never given the opportunity to use that for good.
without that empathy we wouldn't get scenes like this where he admits guilt,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and in all honesty, isn't it more interesting that the best and most prolific killer in the show possesses a large amount of empathy?
idk sorry I got sidetracked - I've seen a lot of people who say they prefer the DNA plot of the comics and I just feel like it's very contradictory to what a lot of people love about Five.
anyway, the only element of the DNA plotline that i'd want to see adapted further is the non-consenual surgery itself
Tumblr media
largely because I love Five!whump and despite comics!Five claiming it was painless it's fairly obvious to see that it wasn't (and I love when this is expanded on in fics so much - no time, no time, dear brother o' mine is an amazing read because it deals with this)
but I also think it would do a good job at reinstating the commission as the villians they are rather than the weird, nebulous thing it currently sits as (Five would never entrust Herb or Dot to the Commission it's so ooc and it's canon??? Dot and Herb were both 100% in support of the commission's ethos, even if Herb was a bit shit at his job. Dot literally was in charge of the apocalypse and saw Five arrive & at no point thought that this was fucked actually).
plus, we already know they waited until Five was hopeless, alcoholic potentially passively suicidal, weak both physically and mentally, desperate. all likely to better control him.
Tumblr media
what's to say they didn't also pick up him just in time to prevent his death? 45 years in a polluted wasteland can't be good on the body - and I don't about the general population, but most of the people I know in their 50s aren't fully grey. the stress was probably killing him all on its own.
they could have seen his death and gone back a few years/months/days to recruit him. but then that would mean they still have to fix whatever illness was killing him, and how do you do that? surgery.
perhaps that's how they recuit all of their agents. maybe that's how they get away with it not disturbing the timeline, take someone who was going to die anyway, and then force them into a debt of gratitude for saving their lives. idk.
I also think AJ was criminally underused. He's supposed to be the big bad of the commission, his character was originally adapted into the Handler but then they decided they wanted his design in the show or something.
I think his role in the comics is much more interesting, as a person who selected Five from a line up of assassins already in the commission and gave Five personal training, and assigned him to the JFK case,
Tumblr media
I think he could have been adapted a lot better than he was, and like the surgery, he could have steered the commission back towards the villains they were always supposed to be - instead of The Handler (as amazing as Kate Walsh is to watch on screen I love her) we could have had AJ manipulating Five throughout s2.
as for Five & Luther, I don't mind them not being twins, because honestly their genetics are so different (Aidan is 20 something and he's probably going to stay at 5'5" while Tom is like 6'5", plus hair colour, skin tone, bone structure etc.) and we already know that they weren't planning on making them twins from the pilot script (Five is born a singleton to a polish teenager I believe).
I do think it would have been fun to repurpose this plotpoint for another pair. of the Umbrella's I actually think Five and Viktor pair quite well as they both have similar heights, hair colour, they both have that square jaw too. but I also think that this could have been an interesting way to give depth to the sparrows - Jayme and Alphonso could have been the twins.
Pennycrumb was... a let down? I don't think he should have been a big part of Five's character, but I also don't think he should have had 0 affect on it either.
otherwise??? honestly Hotel Oblivion was wayyy more interesting in the comics than in the show. I would have preferred something more in line with the comics but I think they were afraid of the classic horror elements and the classic superhero elements.
like the faceless bus boy guards
Tumblr media
the hotel rooms, seemingly ordinary, being prison cells
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the prisoners having enough freedom to move around the hotel and have relationships with each other but not enough to feel safe hanging around the hotel
Tumblr media
i just.. i wish more of this had been incorporated into the show.
also.. art deco buildings.. my beloveds
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this could have been the hotel Oblivion..
Tumblr media
like ik they planned to go to japan to film s3 and that got fucked over by covid but like.. art deco is such a good aesthetic for a horror setting compared to the japanese style hotel we got (i've heard it called hotel orientalism as well so, theres that too).
if I had been in charge I would have had s3 focus on the mothers, develop their stories & why the umbrellas were given up for adoption & then linked this all to the 43 being the 16 instead. have the reveal be not that theyre dead but missing, non existant. because the children were taken by hargreeves to power Oblivion. if we somehow keep the kugelblitz then we use that as a distraction as to where and why all the sparrows keep going missing, and eventually the umbrella's numbers start to dwindle. until Oblivion is discovered and we find that every hotel room corresponds to a member of the 43 - maybe even have the brellies/sparrows numbers correspond to their door numbers somehow, or floor level.
idk I'm not a good writer but thats a bit of how i feel about the comics being adapted into the show..
sorry idk if i even answered your question? thank you again for the lovely ask!

Okay, Slick Sunday ask!
This is going to be formulated as I write, so forgive me if it doesn't make sense.
So, I was recently reading a fic from another fandom where the main plot is that cultural differences make a huge misunderstanding (Canadian guy moves to Japan (ify,yk) and feels shocked when one of his classmates is wearing a collar, which is a sign of an Omega being mated, but context clues tell you is bc the Omega has a situation™ not bc of mating, but anyway).
And I was thinking what if the misunderstanding was in fact what was going on (omega guy (a 17y/o) being in a weird toxic relationship with two 30y/o's) but then my brain told me to make it Steddie (otherwise I wouldn't be here, lmao)
OKAY, sorry for the long rant, the ACTUAL idea before I got sidetracked.
Eddie is living his life, living with his uncle in their shitty trailer, having the worst reputation a guy can have in highschool, being a super senior, all the good stuff. His only saving grace is that he somehow presented as an Alpha.
Eventually he manages to graduate and leaves Hawkins to make an attempt of a career in a big city (I'm not American I have no idea where he would go, help), eventually he gets contacted to be informed that his father was convicted with theft and abduction.
This, of course, strikes Eddie as odd, since his father is clearly a thief, but the kind of person who would take someone's freedom.
So Eddie decides to visit his father, for the first time in like, a decade, to figure out what's going on.
Enter Steve Harrington, old King of the Hawkins high hierarchy until he presented as an Omega and lost everything, only to disappear the year he graduated.
Turns out, Steve was actually there by his own will after Al Munson promised him love if they had sex, maybe even mating, and Steve was so starved for any sort of affection he actually did go with it, and the only reason got said charges was because Steve's parents, annoyed that Steve had ruined their plans to sell him off did their best to get rid of the man in question (once they found out, cuz that took a while).
So they meet each other while visiting Al at the same time, and once Eddie learns that Al's imprisonment has rendered Steve practically homeless (or he could return with his parents, which, as Steve himself put it "would rather live on the street until some non-descript loser playing serial killer murdered me than going back there") so Eddie offers to house him until he can stand on his own feet.
The Omega instantly feels enamoured by that simple act of kindness and accepts, so they start living together and eventually develop feelings, but Eddie resists dating the beautiful Omega until steve can become his own person without actually needing him.
And of course eventually they mate and have pups and Steve is a very happy stay at home mom while Eddie has success in whichever career he ends up in.
eddie picking up the broken pieces of steve that his own father left behind because al is a piece of shit who preyed on a young and desperate omega who just wanted to be loved😭💕
