with all due respect (basically none to ALW these days) the london revival is what happens when the monkey's paw curls. Like the official stex london ig barely posts any actual cast pics in costumes bc they know how much they done fucked up. Hell, in my time at the discord retirement home I found stex on ice footage and...it sure as hell seems better than what we have now. If you asked me if I'd believe a london revival would be worse than that 4 years ago I would've laughed in your face yet here I am, 4 years later, learning otherwise.

I agree with your anon who mentions other “private celebs” aren’t all that private.

People love using Ryan and Eva as examples of private when nobody seems to pick up that they play up their relationship when one or both needs press. Ryan and Eva even wore matching necklaces at one point with each other’s initials during a press tour and they talk about each other all the time. They make mentions that become article headlines (PR).

Chris and Elsa - the same. They’re very played up but it works for them because the public responds well to them as a couple. They were set up by their publicists years ago, when both their careers were just starting out. (This was in an interview with hems I believe) It seemed like a setup that just happened to workout for them.

Chris E is pretty private about his personal life in terms of - he doesn’t post himself IRT or out and about with his friends or family. Some celebs will post themselves IRT or on vacation or doing stuff with family but CE doesn’t. Part of this is because he didn’t have IG so the story option wasn’t on twitter. He may post a pic or two with his family or dog but those are usually pretty random and you can’t really tell where he is. Also, if he posts a pic and it’s just him and his dog at home - how is that crossing boundaries? He’s allowed to do that. But eagle eyed fans can match up corners and curtains 🙄 and I guess he had to learn that the hard way too.

It seems like that’s always been his MO. Posts glimpses into his life but not enough to tell the whole story.

The problem here is that his fans had some how found the SM accounts of ppl in his life - which I’m not totally sure has anything to do with him. I feel liek perhaps his brother plays a big part in this - his brother often posts his life like a reel and he follows many many IG accounts. Perhaps the stalking just went from there and since his brother is so open and interactive, it becomes easier to stalk and the boundaries get crossed even more. Not that he’s at fault, but fans may look through his follows for people who are connected and have public accounts. His brother interacts openly with his family and close friends on his IG, and fans can stalk to see what their account handles are and go from there. That’s how they did a lot of this IG pandemic era stalking, especially regarding IG follows.

But even his brother has stopped posting anything regarding him and has stuck to his own life primarily. I think they finally realized boundaries were needed, but it just came. A little too late.

Also - note that CE for the most part has been a bachelor (not married, tied down to a partner for too long) and therefore perhaps his boundaries seemed less stringent because his home was his and his alone.

I think we need to remember that sometimes single people have different priorities than married people. When CE was single (unmarried), he didn’t have to answer to a partner of how or what he could post and share. He could post what he wanted and if he showed bits of his home, there was no one else there whose privacy needed to be protected. He could test his own boundaries and like you said, maybe his were a little loose due to not having to answer to anyone else. But I don’t necessarily fault him for that - it just means he needed to learn.

Not that I believe his current marriage is completely genuine (I don’t lol), but I do think that if he had always been seriously committed to someone, those sharing boundaries may have been a bit different earlier on.

I do have to say Blake and Ryan play up their relationship a LOT and I don’t see them as very private. For their kids, maybe, but for everything else - you can see what they’re doing when it’s put on for show. But again, the public responds well to it and it works for them.

For CE and his wife - things didn’t go so well. The public doesn’t care and the loud part of his fans despise her and the relationship. It was never really going to be received well and I do wonder if they sort of knew this and like you said, doubled down anyway and lost the house.

To me that seems more plausible than they were “completely” blindsided. I don’t think so. I also think he was already starting to feel some type of way summer of 2022 - when they were preparing to launch the thing in later fall. People have said his demeanor during his summer press tours showcased something different. Then by the time he got SMA - everyone noticed how glum he appeared and the energy seemed totally off. Maybe he didn’t care about the title (it didn’t seem like he cared much from public actions) and he shows up with her in CP and the live video caught of them walking in the park in utter silence - masks on, sunglasses -

It was interesting to see, that’s for sure.

Moving forward, it does seem he’s going to set deeper boundaries and I think it’s a good thing. Yeah, maybe it’s too late for his fandom which seems to have depleted - but you have to reap what you sow and move onwards.

I do think fans need to take more accountability. I think a lot of excuses have been made for crazy fans and the terms gaslighting and manipulation are always being used. You have to remember, Hollywood at its core is manipulation and the entertainment industry, PR, and marketing are all forms of manipulation to sell a narrative and push a message. If you really think about it, we’re constantly being manipulated by media. Like you said though, we have the right to question and choose what we want to accept and believe and what we don’t. We have that right and that responsibility. But real crazy people never seem to think they are the problem, and I think that’s something this fandom is struggling to deal with right now.

fans should definitely take more accountability BUT they should also hold their favorite celebs to a higher level of accountability as well. these celebrities know what they're doing; they have full teams working constantly to maintain it. and while there are definitely crazy fans, i'm hard to convince there is such a high concentration in this particular fandom in the particular little corner of the internet. but that's a topic for a different day.

i apologize for this long ask, but i'm going to share all the TEA I've ever read about milf (M) and cat grandfather (CG): nobody knows the reason, but M and CG hate each other to guts (my guess this is a case of shitty recognize shitty). whatever happened, it was after the 2021 dutch gp, as they unfollowed each other after that race and then started avoiding to attend the same races. if they are at the same race, he stays in the garage and she stays in the hospitality. M fans are always harassing CG on ig as they know he doesn't like her. RUMOR HAS IT she is aware of what they do, but does nothing to stop it as she hates him too and cuz cat dad (CD) never publicly called out his fans for harrassing her. last year, a M fanpage got exposed threatening "haters" claiming to be on behalf of M and CD. the girl behind the fanpage was also making up lies about CG. this reached CD's sis, who defended her dad and told the girl to leave them alone. the girl apologized, and later said she was "used" by M, that she did what she did cuz M lied to her, and then she disappeared. another thing about this girl is that people found that the she also had a HATE PAGE for M (yes, she had a fanpage for M and also was hating on her on another page), and CG once replied her when she asked if it was true that he dislikes M and he said yes, and that most people around CD don't like M either (i have to say that from what can be seen, only CD's manager seems to really like M. not just his dad dislikes her, his mom, sis and friends never look comfortable around her. it wasn't like that with dilara). months later, people exposed ANOTHER M fanpage making up lies about CG. this girl denied it, keep the fanpage for a while, and this year her fanpage suddenly disappeared. this second girl seems to be OBSESSED with M. she also threatened people, hacked accs of "haters" of M, and insulted even daniil. it's not known if this girl really disappeared after her fanpage was gone, or if she's still around, but acting "in the shadows", as CD's family, dilara, and gossip accs that post about M continue to get threats. it was revealed by the first girl that M talks to fans, but in the midst of so many rumors, lies, and craziness, it's not known what she actually has ever said to these girls. the rumors range from her just thanking their support and replying whether she will attend a race or not, to rumors that she became friends with the girls and even shared details about her private life, such as her life with CD is kinda boring, and that he doesn't "engages" with her stuff like daniil used to do. maybe y'all don't know, but some wags interact with their fans. giada had a GC with fans and she told them first about the end of her relationship with charles. however, some fans turned against her once the relationship was over and faked messages from her on this GC to claim that she talked shit about charlotte. charlotte daily checks stories on fan accs. elena also replies fans. heidi is also believed to talk to fans cuz her main fanpage knows way too many personal things about her, posts videos and pics that no one else has seen anywhere, and always knows when heidi is with daniel. some time ago it was found that her sis had a side acc to defend her on wag pages. carmen also talked to fans, and when her acc was private, she allowed fanpages to repost the pics she posted there, except the ones with kids. some of the evidence against M could be fake. a gossip acc once posted a fake chat of her saying to fans that CG HIT her. this rumor CG hit M seems to have come from the first girl exposed making up lies about CG. although i would never trust a ~picket~, i trust gossip accs and fanpages even less. sorry for this long ESSAY. i hope that with this INSIGHT y'all stop thinking they will ever get married. we are closer to him breaking up with her due to her fans' harassing his family than having an wedding between those awful families - God writes straight with crooked lines.

new work... the culmination of one month but more like two days. long, long, long breakdown bee low.

had the idea for this ever since dan made this tweet calling himself and the band the good boys lol. thought it would translate well to some kind of scrappy collage-y thing which i somehow end up continuing to make, maybe this is just my design path. my vibe per-se. created this file like nearly a month ago now and couldn't really hack out where i wanted it to go and sort of shelved it knowing something would click for it eventually, which it did! i was starting work on something else (that i'm going to scrap in favor of something more accurate to what i wanted, that will appear soon enough) and inadvertently figured out that this is what i had in mind for this intentionally and it had to be done.

started by hand cutting w a x-acto all the lettering for this and scanning it. i knew i could just go do all this digitally and whatever but i enjoy physical elements in my work as it makes it more personal and "real". unfortunately my actual letters scanned looked incredibly dodgy and i couldn't repair them, so the letters are just overlays using the same paper i had already pre-scanned for textures.

the picture cutouts kind of gave me more hell than i intended – all pink at the start, re-cut 2-3 times because they were feathered wrong or dissolved from magic eraser (my own fault!)

anyways i really hacked it the fuck out last night for a good 5, maybe 6 hours where i re-cut everything, re-colored from a new set of swatches and started to create a full arrangement of what i had in mind. i ended up settling on this icky yellow background because it did contrast nicely with the pinks/blues/purples in the text and photos. added some names which i just cut from the letters i already had and some lasso as a placeholder.

i tried to fill in the background with this extremely claustrophobic wave-y shit. i could have ended up keeping this had i had the patience to deal with evening out paths – a tedious task that i'm still quite rickety at.

so i scrapped that and went to bed completely unsatisfied.

however, as soon as i added that yellow background i was like holy fuck i'm making a ode to de la soul's 3 feet and rising and earlier i did attempt to make something in that vein in order to fill the dead space. it didn't look good, so i scrapped it and pretty much overhauled it all again...

keeping the outline on the photos bc i think that actually made them pop just that little more, i desperately needed to create something to fill the dead space. so i re-built a background based on the pre-made .psd i used to back the spoon thing from a few months ago because i didn't want to reuse the same backing for a second time – poor practice! found what i needed amongst the sea of resources and made something nice and unique. added and recolored some scribbles and arranged them from there. boosted up the text by making it look a little more cut out than what it originally was. ended up with the final product above!

idk why he says nothings wrong when i ask him, when clearly something is wrong. ik how he is & when somethings up but he still denied it. i understand if he doesnt wanna get into it rn or he just wants to let it go but like in this case, i pretty much know exactly what its about that could be bothering him & the only way to put him at ease is to talk about it….again! this one specific thing triggered his mood last night & i didnt even think it would. i noticed a red scratch mark on my chest and sent him a pic saying how i think his cat made the scratch. his reply was soo serious, like i could actually feel him doubting me thru the phone. i knew he was questioning if it was really the cat bc he said how he was close to my chest the other day and didnt see anything so that is odd that theres a scratch. !! i immediately knew where his mind went & that thought didnt even occur to me when i sent that pic..like if i knew that would cause him to think of this crazy scenario then i wouldnt have sent that snap in the first place tbh bc right after that, his tone & the way he texted just shifted. hes not the best at masking his feelings like me so i can tell when the energy feels different. i also posted some pics from the hangout on my ig story & he saw it later that night. i have a feeling that added to his misery and all of today it was so prevalent, even if he denies it. idc if he says nothings wrong bc its not convincing and its not just in my head. he went from msging me all cutesy & happy to immediately being more neutral & uninterested. we always send a snap to say good morning (unless we get busy but we still send a snap with whatever we’re doing). he didnt open the app, as well as reply to my snap, until 7:15pm.. around 4 was when i asked him whats wrong (bc i already knew he was ignoring me). his response was that nothing really is wrong and how he went straight to work and his boss switched his assignment. usually id let that go but not when its already past 7 and hes firsttt opening snapchat to answer me ? and i see that hes been on instagram. also.. hes always talking to me when hes either at work already, still at home, or driving to work. the only time he goes mia like that is when something is definitely upsetting him. also!.. when that happens, he will text me after a couple hrs to let me know how hes feeling & why he was silent. he didnt always do that but i told him to bc its not fair to me by feeling like ive done something or just the feeling of purposely being ignored by my own boyfriend. but yeah.. he didnt do any of that this time BC its this whole situation again. i really dont know what more i could do to reassure him about it. i feel like ive done and am doing all that i can rn. its mostly up to him now to let himself figure it out and honestly, just trust me. like just saying.. im not gonna be making that mistake that you (both) did and be stupid with it.. and neither will snow. theyre not a “friend” its actually becoming really genuine and sweet and i wont let it get ruined bc of him doubting me. i also wont let the friendship ruin me and him. i really cant help but compare it to what he did with his friend, especially since i just found out like a month ago. i also have this suspicion that it happened earlier that yr (when we were still together) than what he told me, but i dont even wanna think about that for any longer. i was told by her Husband! that it happened when they were still in school together. that means a year before. idk if i believe that. she mightve lied, but my suspicion’s still there. like i asked him if he remembered what month and he couldnt. all he knew was that it was during our break..-.- the what.…like 1 1/2 month long break. you dont remember which month..? i sound so salty rn omg i dont mean to. im just trying to understand. ill see how he is with me tm bc we barely talked today. kind of glad i worked most of the day so i was able to keep busy and not hyper focus on him ignoring me.

To the anon who asked about Norman and Emily being a thing at some point... I'm a bethyl/td veteran lol and also a fan of Emily herself so I was active in the fandom when this whole thing unraveled. I'd say the romance speculation started when Emily posted that selfie of the two of them fake "kissing" with Norman's hand covering their mouths (sept 2013, it's still up on Emily's IG btw). I'm not sure what month they broke up, but Norman was dating a model back then according to Google. I also found some gossip articles about rumors of them dating and going out together posted on 2015 (DailyMail, TMZ, so not very reliable sources). Then, of course, we got the famous bts photo from Still of them hugging that got the fandom wild and adds to the romantic undertone in cons and interviews you mentioned. Personally, I also believe all their lovey dovey public interactions were PR for TWD/Bethyl. IIRC fans noticed things got weird between them around the time Norman confirmed his relationship with Diane and their interactions on Instagram got sorta strange, like maybe Norman would like or comment on Emily's pictures and she wouldn't reply. At some point she unfollowed him as well, and followed him back again not so long ago. This fueled the breakup/bitterness speculations and also led some people to believe Emily got axed from the show because of this falling out (which is ridiculous and makes no sense lmao). In 2018 Emily released her album "Oh, Jonathan" and in it are a few songs that some fans believe to be about him and their possible fling like "Drunk and Lost" and "Soda Glass". In them, Emily sings about an on/off, no strings attached, crushing sort of relationship with someone. Although it's evident that she references at least two different relationships in that album, so who knows. In the end, it's all gossip. And, if we were to believe they indeed had a thing going on, these breadcrumbs point to nothing more than a very casual relationship a long time ago and it's probably all good and forgiven, so it wouldn't interfere with them working together again in the TWDU.

Thinking about the time I found someone on IG who had been to the same gig as me the week before, standing right behind where I was, who got some amazing shots from the night -- during that same gig I interacted with my favourite musician but I didn’t have any photos of the moment, obviously, so I messaged her knowing it was a long shot and basically asking if she’d caught any of it. She instantly sent me like 20+ pics from her camera roll of everything that fit the bill, completely happy to do so. Absolute star of a human being. We’ve been mutuals ever since, and this was like 7 years ago.

Like I am very Socially Anxious and generally iffy with people, but moments like that remind me how dumb it is to be that way to a chronic extent.

i think i missed the part about the writers using their personal life! i feel like this is a shitty move as it could be triggering, especially emmy’s wedding with the musician ( as i recall she was really traumatised by that, having issues believing in love and all that. ) the more i know the less i like people who worked on shameless!!!! ( why would they end up making such a good show?! ) i don’t know if you’re familiar with it but there’s this show called Peaky Blinders and they’re all about drugs, drinks etc. one of the main cast’s actor ended up being an addict and alcoholic. he said it was due to the pressure of the character and not wanting to disappoint the fans. i found out about that recently cause pics of him looking unwell surfaced and despite always thinking that actors have it ‘easy’ by doing such a fun job, you really need to have some kind of support with you or it really fucks you up… it also made me think of the actress that played mandy? i think she was called emma, right? she dated jemery for a long time and then disappeared. i found her ig again and saw she got married to this old dude that i was so sure was either her father or grandpa…

I read an article that said the guy, Paul Anderson, was arrested for being in possession of several kinds of illegal drugs and that he blamed fans for giving him "inducements" to make him get into character.

I mean... listen. Not taking a selfie is one way to disappoint fans, not snorting a line of free coke when they offer it is quite another. In this instance, I'd say the actor has to take more responsibility for his actions. Temptations are everywhere and consequences are real. He's not a kid and really can't be so naive to the fact that living too hard and too fast eventually catches up with you. Whether you're paying for the drugs or they're flung freely at you.

The actress who played Mandy is Emma Greenwell and I researched her a bit not too long ago. Even though her husband looks much older than her, their age difference is about ten years. haha so my story of becoming a fan is actually kinda weird. i first discovered evan many years ago when i watched ahs murder house. and at that time since i was a child i was totally teriffied of ghosts and hated horrors. but my friend convinced me to watch ahs and it was really popular back then so i watched. and yeah i was so scared of it (i know it is not even scary but that fear was one of this irrational fears you cant explain), for like a week i thought what if my house is also haunted and had a feeling a ghost is watching me lol and tate was probably the one that scared me the most, idk that basement scene, the fact that girl said he might be devil cause devil can be beautiful and his black eyes scared the shit out of me 🤣🤣 i was even scared to search evan on google cause i had that feeling of fear attached to him, when i found out emma is dating him i was like "gosh how is that girl not scared" lmao (in fact she was the scary one in this relationship but i didnt know anything about her at that time). so with years i was seeing evan somewhere on social media from time to time and the fear was actually dissapearing throug those years but i didnt pay attention and i was not interested in him. i think at one point i saw that pictures with halsey when he was touching her stomach cause it was kinda popular when came out and then this black and white pic she posted on ig where they were kissing cause i followed her but i dont even remember if i realised it was a guy who played tate or not lol but yeah in september 2022 dahmer came out and was all over tik tok, it kinda interested me cause i am huge fan of true crime, there were edits with evan from dahmer and also other roles and interviews and videos with fans on my for you page and i was like "damn he is kinda cute and actually sweet and nice guy, also weird like me" so i started searching more, watching more and fell in love with him and i am following him since then. and gosh now i love his dark eyes so much, the are the most gorgeous ever. and yeah now this fear of ghosts dissapeared cause of lot of bad things that happened in my life, i realised that there are much worst things in life that possible ghosts lol and i watched all seasons of ahs and i love this tv show now 😁 so yeah i am kinda post dahmer fan but actually about evan's existence i know for many years
