I just need to come up with a name, and a pfp, and a catchphrase (which will probably be a quote) and a tag system so I can organize the content on it. And then I would ramble bout the characters, and share my playlists and post little drabbles for a Glenn and Nick pre cannon fic I've been working on and maybe I'll actually finish it and post it in full and it would be so fun. I really wanna do more side blogss

idea. since askdusttale answered an ask about where dust got his determination from (because dust has SOME determination just so he can remember the timelines and keep going against the human) and said it was totally up to personal interpretation on how he got his determination. so so so like what if what if dusttale's player did something similar to something new's player and changed dust's code to give him determination??? so dust and killer COULD BOTH had their codes tampered with??? the parallels would be INSANE. they both started off as sans and got their codes tampered with by the player but dust and killer went on two opposite paths. dust out of his own voalition decided to go against the human but killer had to team up with the human no choice at all. the opposite parallels go CRAZY oh god im tweaking

killer doesn't know exactly (since i forgot whether or not he can see codes or something like that. i swear there was an image of him describing fell and swap's code and then his own) but he can SENSE that something's off. something's different about dust that he doesn't quite know about. maybe it gets him to ask a bunch of questions that dust is definitely not open to answering because jesus man mind your own damn business but the question that really sets killer off is the way dust answers when he asks "so if you have determination then how did you get it?" and dust just shrugs his shoulders and said that one day he suddenly remembered the resets and then that's when he got it (and then goes back to mumbling to phantom paps or wtvr) and killer's just like. zomg. a sudden change in behavior or mentality that seemingly has no apparent reason related to the human???? like like like when he suddenly had to agree with the player despite literally never wanting to????? killer is over thinking the implications behind this

meanwhile dust is just annoyed now because killer keeps on following him. he keeps asking him strange questions. wtf why is the guy asking to see his SOUL that's incredibly personal???? he just wants to be left alone man he has no idea what's going on

when has anyone EVER said that homophobia is izzy’s only motivation. i’m on team “gay homophobe izzy” and i do not think this is his only motivation. i don’t even think it’s his primary motivation. it is another layer of complexity on a fascinating character. he is gay and in unrequited love with ed. he craves power and leadership but he is not good at managing those things when he gets them. he thinks men should behave a certain way and is aggressive and cruel to the men who don’t meet his standards. men having sex with each other is fine, but men falling in love with men falls outside of his rigid idea of how men should behave. he lacks the emotional maturity to be able to identify his feelings towards ed. he is so repressed he only accepts intimacy in the form of physical violence. he blames stede for ed changing. he hates stede because ed is changing. to izzy, the worst part about stede changing ed is the fact that stede is such a pathetic excuse of a man it shatters izzy’s image of ed to think that ed could find anything about stede appealing. he’s dedicated his life to the version of ed that he’s made up in his head. he is possessive of being the only one to call him ed, to be the only one who gets to call the legendary blackbeard by his name. but izzy has never been able to see ed without blackbeard. to him, knowing ed is a privilege only because ed is who’s behind the legendary blackbeard’s curtain.

i think izzy is fascinating. he's a fantastic character. he is incredibly well written. he plays a crucial role in the narrative. this show would not be the same without him.

im telling you now, having spent my time in this fandom primarily interacting with people who also read izzy as homophobic, anyone who is using this interpretation to reduce izzy's complexity is by far in the minority with that take.

For the based people who want to see Amanda handled as a complex character capable of change and with her own potential insecurities and fears explored, may I recommend The Feeling of Home by CoffeeJay? It's a few chapters before the Amanda train really kicks off but I was so pleasantly surprised by it.

I think it's worth exploring yourself but if you want potentially spoilery specifics:

We get to see Amanda experience actual character growth and her distrust of Connor is now rooted in personal fear rather than him not meeting the mission parameters set by Cyberlife.

Hank and Amanda interactions.

Amanda craving a physical form and feeling genuine dysmorphia over just being an AI in a garden.

Amanda isn't perfect or entirely rational all the time! She's allowed to have doubts and feelings!

Connor and Amanda toxic codependency. They're both hypocrites calling each other out going "no u"

Hank isn't entirely nice at first. Like not outright on purpose he just sucks and is immature and a little clueless. Like he does. (this is a plus to me)

RK900 is there and he's like, his own fascinating character with his own troubles without being thrust into a ship.

Good study of Connor. He is feeling things and isn't very good at dealing with it, but it's like not infantalizing. He's just stubborn and a bitch. Even to himself.

(i love your zines, they’re so fun and inspiring!) i first just folded it out of a sticky note for fun and put it in my pocket thinking “i’ll fill this in later when i have an idea” and then i looked outside and it was so. fucken dark. and here we are :) i really loved treating it as an exercise in “draw whatever comes to mind, let it be as shitty as possible, just try something” — drawing isn’t something i think of as my strong suit but little doodles sure are fun!
