KC would give cake, although most obviously wouldn't eat it. Bloodmoon is taking great joy in kc getting him… some interesting cake ill say. Lunar just staring '….is there… blood free cake for today daddio??' 'There will be if you stop calling me that' 'Staring' and eclipse would be Very awkward (defensively. Hed be mocking and all but genuinely just '…. i want this day to over now'). Dude's not here for this. (Solar Flare is still in his head too.)

Sun i dont think would stick around too long. Both him and Bloodmoon on this day have uh… not great vibes id say. Sun would wish him a good birthday- which bloodmoon would comment on how their first was great at ending others. Which would just get Sun to leave. Bloodmoons like Ehehe but other than like KC or Lunar. Not a lot of everyone wants to celebrate. Eclipse is distant enough. Which does end up annoying Bloodmoon, but he does try to rile people up by 'lol ur just mad i killed people-' kc warns him. Thankfully none of this is taking place in the daycare. Kc was wise enough that that was honestly a bad idea. Earth would actually get Bloodmoon a present. Since shed feel its appropriate… but like after Bloodmoons antics of trying to piss everyone off shed pick him up and put him in a corner. 'just cause its ur birthday you dont need to treat everyone Worse' '…..' She'd not stay long after either.

Anyway Bloodmoon despite being a lil jerk all day still isnt satisfied. Kc opts to watch movies with him till he falls asleep (of which he just grips kcs pants/leg while he snoozes.)

This party... is far more fake than it needed. Even KC regrets it, even noting Bloodmoon just acted worse than normal. He just hope his kid enjoyed what he could.

holy shit the new site absolutely FUCKS it feels so. Alive. also the new volume so far kicks butt i love that uni actually got her gamer speech back 🫡 🫡 not to mention the art in the epilogue like. Got damn ! that shading makes my brain itch. AND A NEW CHARACTER HELLO????? actuslly holy ahit thinking of it i think that's like. reboot bonez. like barry's original love interest

i saw the site on mobile and honestly its SO much more accessible now and refreshing. i will probably check it out on pc later though

im so glad we got pretty much Every Single Character in the cast page now even the minor ones because I've been ao curious about them and we knew jack shit of them unless you check tumblr every fucking day. so thats one hell of a good change. the animations and icons also help bring the characters more to life and DOES kc animate well. seriously I can't emphasize enough how much i loved the cast pages they were so fun to read and skim through !!!!

im also glad kc explained the backstory of hemera and barry so the fandom doesn't shit on them for no reason. in this economy we live in we get barely any characters who react to trauma in ways that are considered bad or harmful/through anger 💔

OK gushing over let me talk about some neutral/negative things imo. these are not just related to the relaunch but just. the comic in general

alright so this is basically just nitpicking but there are So Many Fucking Lesbians. nothing wrong with being lesbian i am one myself LOL but literally more than half of the frmale-aligned cast is a lesbian which kinda sucks a bit because. yknow. wheres the representation for other identities

also yeah. all the other crit blogs u were right unis definitely getting really fucking babified. girl has no fuckin flaws or anger or anything of the sort shes just an innocent uwu cinammon roll . head in hands

and my biggest nitpick of all. Cuddles. yeah he's the big bad villain but. he's so cartoonishly evil man. like in his bio it basically states every single bad thing a human (anthry?) person can do and it's just so hard to take it seriously im sorry. like it blatsntly states something along the lines of "there's no trauma or anything of the sort that led to him being like this" and im like. girlypop. thats not how people work. people just don't wake up one day and go "o fuck yea im gonna start hurting animals and torturing people and driving them to suicide and feel good doing it because i want to!!!!!!!!!!" like. No. Not At All. It's just not how shit works yknow. someone HAS to have reason to do shit like this and enjoy it, and not because they're big villain of the narrative and/or because the creator said so. hell BOWSER has more depth than cuddles. bowser is a hopeless romant. he's power hungry and constsntly soing risky, dangerous, or just over the top shit because he wants peach to love him and because he wants to earn respect amongst his people. and he also has a soft a side, being a father and even sometimes helping his arch nemesis whenever someone stronger than him appears and he doesn't want to lose respect, and evn though he does this to feed his ego, he ends up accidentally helping others in the process

.......okay sorry i did not mean to go into that bowser rant i just really like him Oksy. but my point is that just bowser is a character from fucking nintendo and is really cartoonish and yet has more depth and reasoning than the main villain from a webcomic about medical malpractice and trauma. the way cuddles is written overall just gives off vibes of a kid who doesn't actually know how to write stories and assumes the villain has to be the Big Bad for no rhyme or reason

but. overall. i can tell kc and the z//cp staff worked their asses off to get this volume and site done and did they hit the nail right in the head. excited for whats to come

when I started shipping it if I did: A few years ago actually. Back when I used to read KC fic, there was one I read with Kennett and I fell in love. And that ended up being one of the only reasons I read KC fic, for Kennett. But now I know my worth haha.

my thoughts: They’re honestly perfect in every way, shape, and form. In my mind, everything with Kolvina in canon ended up happening with Kennett (well aside from the parts I hate haha).

What makes me happy about them: Their chemistry is AMAZING! I love that eye sex scene in 4x10, and how in 4x23, Kol actually seemed to care about Bonnie dying. Call me crazy, but I wish Bonnie took his offer and they ended up going to NOLA together. And it makes perfect sense for Kol to pursue Bonnie since he holds witches in high esteem. He would inspire Bonnie to be more selfish, while Bonnie would inspire Kol to be better (but he would still be himself, not like how TO!Kol was basically Delena!Damon haha).

What makes me sad about them: The fact that they couldn't happen because Bonnie is too "strong" and "beautiful" to be with a "murderous vampire" like Kol, yet somehow Davina isn't??? And these same writers had Delena and Klaroline?? Like make it make sense lol.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: Klaroline. 'Nuff said.

things I look for in fanfic: Good writing, Bonnie being the main focus, good development, growth for both characters, etc.

when I started shipping it if I did: I liked them for a while, but then I didn't because of how they were written. It was only recently that I got more into them.

my thoughts: They were definitely having sex while Elena was emotionless.

What makes me happy about them: They have great chemistry, and do have some similarities. And like I said, I ship them as a hate-sex pairing. Like I could've seen them hooking up in the bathroom in 4x03. That's just how much tension they had.

What makes me sad about them: I don't like how they were written in canon. Like I feel like Rebekah was very ooc in late s4, because how does she hate Katherine for not wanting to be sacrificed but can still be friends with Elena who killed both her brothers. Also I feel like emotionless!Elena has a lot of Katherine in her, so for Rebekah to hate the real thing but still be friends with Elena?? And only for Elena to end up using her again?? Idk. It bugs me.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I like the fics I've read for them, but there was one that bugged me because it had Elena say that she thought Stefan was boring in bed like???

things I look for in fanfic: Honestly, I think I might look for fic with them together in New York. But there was this really angsty one I read where they end up hooking up in 3x09 and it shows the heartbreak when Elena daggers Rebekah. And it did give me a lot of feelings.

Kai's views on Areelu are a lot simpler than Irenni's, lol. They despise her, plain and simple. No nuance, no place for compassion, no grey moral areas. It's not that Kaija has a particularly strong moral compass or anything, it's just that on a subconscious level she kind of blames Areelu for everything bad that has happened to her. Being born a tiefling in a country war-ravaged by demons, and the subsequent hit to her quality & stability of life that carried; the curse of her mythic powers—because, for her, they truly felt like a curse; the way I headcanon it, Kaija did not really have a choice regarding what shape they took, she was "forced" into the Demon path since she was so overwhelmed—and the goddamn wound that won't stop bleeding and may or may not kill her eventually; the fact that she's been put in charge of the Crusade which is a role she did not want at all, thankyouverymuch (even if they intend to make use of it for their own benefit)… She can circle every single thing back to Areelu and hates her on a deeply personal level because of that. Sure, Kai already disliked her because of the whole Worldwound thing, they're not entirely bereft of concern for Golarion as a whole—if only because they live in it—but the true depths of their hatred for Areelu are 100% due to how she influenced their life & stripped them of agency more than once. As a result, Kaija actively takes pleasure in shedding her mythic Demon powers and in killing Areelu once and for all.

8. What do they desire the most?

Oh, power. Definitely power. She's very similar to Woljif in that respect: a rough past, a score to settle, and enough bitterness to last a lifetime. She would very much like to be waited on hand-and-foot & to never go without food or shelter again, but there's also an edge of, like… wanting to make sure nobody can ever order her around again, and if that means she's got to claw her way up to the top, so be it.

That being said, they don't want just any kind of power. If they did, they would've kept their mythic ones, consequences and irreparable damage to their psyche be damned. Kaija wants power she's earned, power that belongs solely and entirely to her, because she doesn't want to rely on anyone other than herself and, eventually, the precious few people she trusts. She doesn't care for any power that comes with a leash.

She is also a huge hedonist who craves all that is comfortable and beautiful in life, and a hell of a glory-hound who wants her name to go down in history, but I suppose that last one is par for the course for a skald. (Yep I changed her class lol. Sword Saint just wasn't cutting it characterisation-wise.)

Even though she's been around thanks to her mercenary work, Kaija is from Mendev! Really, if it weren't for her circumstances, the fact that she returned when she did could be considered the greatest stroke of luck in recent history (note: I am aware of the twist regarding Areelu and how long the KC has been, uh… out of commission… but I personally think the timeline established is a bit strange so I've reduced it to, roughly, five years).

She doesn't have much in the way of an opinion on Mendev, honestly? Doesn't think too highly of it—as far as Kai's concerned, the place is crawling with holier-than-thou hypocrites—but they wouldn't care to see it burnt to a crisp, either. The best way to describe it, I think, is that despite being their birthplace, it has never felt like home, and they feel no special connection to it one way or another. Just another place that turned its back on her on account of her heritage, but was all too quick to take advantage of her when it had to. Nothing new, get in line.

Regarding politics, though… man, let's just say that Kaija starts WOTR heavily disliking Galfrey from the get-go. A lot of it is petty resentment at first, but with time it does coalesce into something more justified (at least as far as Kai is concerned).

honestly i think i can remember a few posts where kittycorn has been like "i say cometcare is the happy ending but they're incredibly dysfunctional lol" but like. idk... it feels like main sparklecare, where the main story only comes up and is thought about when it HAS to be, and otherwise it's all cutesy and comfort and shipping. if you're gonna tell a story, tell a story!!! don't make us pick thru unrelated stuff for crumbs of story!!!

So real anon. There's so much we haven't learned in both CC AND SC. I'm just a bit obsessive with my hyperfixations and special interests but frankly I wish we had less fluff and more actual storyline.

We don't know who broke Eve out of her egg, for starters. Not even a hint. Doom did seem to get all anxious and jittery when it was eventually mentioned though, so unless some random staff member did it I'm honestly confused on how the heck that happened. Pretty sure they didn't have any kids at the time of the cover-up and I can only imagine that Cuddles didn't like. Dropkick a child out of their egg for no reason. But I can assume that we're not going to be seeing him anytime soon, if at all, in CC. I feel like it will eventually be explained what actually happened to him but I'm waiting for arc five for that. Kc has said that it's the most interesting arc storyline-wise so HOPEFULLY we'll get more info about it.

There's things in SC that haven't been explained to. How the heck are the rats part spider if there's no arachnid anthries? Why do Funfetti and Pinata have to stay in the hospital? It's been mentioned that Funfetti has gone to jail before (I think. I'm not sure how but I think she mentioned it in v3) BUT Kc continues to say he's completely innocent so I'm not sure how that works. Of course not everyone who goes to jail is a bad person because the jail system fucking sucks and targets people that the government doesn't like, but that's still a very gray undeveloped area.

Also we were told that we'd get Cuddles' backstory at some point, but Kc specifically said "Nothing bad has ever happened to him" which makes him SUCH a BLAND CHARACTER. I wish we would get more interesting character arcs instead of just crumbs of story immediately followed by shipping material. v4 was absolute whiplash for me because one moment this character is having a mental breakdown, oh that's sa- oh it's barruni. Look this character is suffering from someth- oh it's a sex joke. Doom had a near death fucking experience! He was SET ON FIRE and it was still just leading to a sex joke.

It's not just that we aren't getting a lot of story that's the issue, any story we do get is interrupted by sex jokes or ship material. It's perfectly fine to have all three in the same issue, of course it is! But you need to learn how to cushion some areas in-between otherwise it's going to confuse your readers. You can't expect us to feel moved by an emotional scene but immediately follow said scene up with a sex joke.

Kiryu Sento

Kisses with Sento are a mystery but an experiment at the same time. It’s meant to be something only the two of you can feel, energetic as the rabbit he is named after and heavy as the tank he is also named after. It’s this delicious mix of him gripping on to you like a lifeline and a puzzle that is meant to be complete. He’s never letting go, never letting you fade from his memory and wants to etch it into his brain forevermore. Sento just wants to think of you and only you, not the numbers and calculations that are always in his head and never seem to leave. He’s calculating his kisses for you now but sometimes those calculations never seem to work. They short-circuit when your lips finally meet and he goes on pure instinct more than anything. It’s a romp in a sunlight field for him, everything he ever wanted and craved. He could take it more and more but he is simply content to hold you or be in your arms and just kiss your breath away.

Public kisses are so sweet honestly. Depending on his mood, it’ll depend on what kind of kisses you get. Sometimes they’re simple quick pecks when he’s on the go, and other times it’s kisses fully on the lips because he just can. He isn’t really shy about it because he’s just so surrounded by love that he has really…nowhere to shove it so he shoves it all on to you, lol. Sure sometimes he gets embarrassed because of it, especially if you kiss him outta nowhere just to surprise him but he’ll melt into it. He’ll pout and be like, “I was going to kiss you first, no fair.” but he isn’t mad at all! It’s just his ego talking. Speaking of his ego, yeah you gotta sit on his lap whenever you kiss him or vice versa. He likes having a semblance of control in his kisses nyehehehe.

When I say you need to kiss him after he’s finished with a successful experiment, you need to. It’s mandatory. He’s just so hyped and hopped up on adrenaline and all that he has no true idea where to place all of this extra energy. It turns into the most passionate of makeout sessions for the two of you. He is oh so boundless in energy, screaming outwardly and internally about how amazing he is, how much of a genius he is but he is also a kissing genius. It’s overwhelming and overstimulating in the best of ways. Sento will cling to you as his lifeline and just never let go. He keens and purrs and keels when you play with his hair during this time, ruffling it up and messing it up and tugging it. This is the best way to make him in the mood of sexy times because of this energy. If you’re not up for sex, that’s completely fine. Sento is just happy to be able to kiss you instead. But listen, Sento is a lot more audible when he kisses you during this state; soft little whimpers and sighs and whines and moans and when I say it’s delicious, it really is. Please trust me.

Sento also needs kisses at a timely interval or else he’ll turn into a pouty mess. It’s embarrassing, yes, and he tries not to show it around others but it’s kind of obvious when he hasn’t gotten a kiss from you in a while. He’s sulky and always looking towards you or for you, wanting you to kiss these very kissable lips that are curled into such a cute little pout.  It’s not that he’s clingy (he kind of is) but it’s more so along the lines of using your kisses as a form of energy whenever he is at a low point. It’s a sort of motivation or reward for him in the best of times. To him, it’s the earth beneath his feet, fuel needed to keep on going for love and peace.

Kisses with Sento are nothing short of a damn dream. It’s full of ups and downs and moments of triumph and sorrows. But the slow, languid, and lazy kisses where he turns off his brain are his favorite - especially when it’s just the two of you in a headspace or in a room just cuddling and existing. He’s holding you close to him or you are holding him close. It’s a skittish sort of peppering of kisses to your form and his form, a rabbit darting in and out of sight, only to just keep coming back for more. He loves tracing your lips with tactile fingers that are meant to heal and bring happiness to others and loves it when you kiss the pads of his fingers and lavish attention upon him. It’s something he always looks forward to. Besides, using his lips on you and your body is his…favorite experiment ;)

Banjou Ryuga

Kisses with Ryuga are simply fiery, threatening to burn you to a crisp. He lost Kasumi after all, and he doesn’t want to lose this sort of sensation again. He cherishes you for as long as he possibly can in the kiss, and lets you know exactly how much you mean to him. He doesn’t really hide his affections he has for you, why would he? He loves you, is proud of you, and will show you off to everyone that asks. If anything, it’s a sensation that will devour you whole. A dragon keeping a close eye on his treasure and never letting it out of sight. He cherishes you and loves you, and it’s oh so evident in the way he kisses. It’s fire licking at your lips, asking for the most gentle of permission to enter your cavern and lavish affection upon you as you deserve.

Public affection is something he isn’t shy about. Why would he care?? He’s just so in love with you that it threatens to burn him from the inside out if he doesn’t show it to you at least once. Sure there are moments when he gets embarrassed and bright red but those are the best of times to make Ryuga flushed and whatnot. He’s dumb and stupid but he’s your fucking idiot. He’s the type of person that will always kiss you whenever he can get a brief moment…even if it’s just quick pecks on the lips or cheeks. Actually, he likes these quick pecks. They’re like good luck charms, truth be told.

Like Sento, Ryuga will also get a weeee bit (read: V E R Y) pouty whenever you don’t kiss him at certain intervals of the day. However, it’s a lot more audible than Sento’s and it’s hella fucking obvious. He’ll like whine and pout and stick close to you, wanting to tell you that he wants a kiss but never saying it until the last second because people are watching and he doesn’t wanna say it because he’s kinda tsuntsun and is just waiting for you to get the damn hint. This is why, I’m saying this now, this is the best time to tease him and test his short temper. Because the payout is so fucking good because if you don’t give him what he wants he’ll just…take it. He’ll grab you by your shoulders and just slam your lips together and when you two part he’s face is red and just grumbling out, “Damn it, just take the hint and kiss me already.”

Kiss his hands and the scars upon his body. As a former pro-boxer, there are some scars and welts upon his fists that never really faded. To be honest, his hands are sort of numb because of all the punching and it’s hard for him to feel things sometimes. He’s used to hitting things with his fists so it deafened his nerves so the kisses to his hands are the best. It’s kind of a placebo effect, healing and regaining his nerves but if anything…it just makes him giddy. It’s like a barely felt sensation and sometimes Ryuga won’t even notice that you’ve kissed his fingers or knuckles or hands until he physically sees you do it. He’ll flush and grumble, complaining that you don’t need to kiss him there but he doesn’t make any movements to move away.

It’s the everyday kisses that make Ryuga happy. The kisses when you wake up in the morning to greet with, the kisses you two share in like a hallway when no one is watching, the kisses as greetings, the kisses as goodbyes. It’s the normalcy that he wants to return to before everything went to fucking shit. It’s the simple kisses that Ryuga adores the most; the ones where you two are just in a world that belongs to the two of you and just….take in each other’s presence and savor it for all of time. Ryuga’s kisses are embers at these moments, could burnt into flame but are just simply content to give you a gentle warmth of his love.

anw so— birds of a feather quite literally fucked up my day (in a good way) like im so invested into this story and im just in awe of the level of literacy in the way u write and im kinda taking some notes and learning from u in a way?? i mean that in a very appreciative way and i think ur genuinely one of a kind absolutely gem writer on this app like i could go on and on abt the way you write your characters and their chemistry w each other like ugh im eating it up im so full

so onto the actual fic, WHAT THE FUCK RIKI?? when i catch u riki istg, my heart SANK at that last part like i knew something was up bc he hasn't caused anything in a while and that was like a bullet sized dagger straight through my heart jfc. he had me all bamboozled and im actually feeling rage at the way mc showed vulnerability to him only to be backstabbed by him and now he's like dragging her w a noose around her neck— it's insane how he immediately dismissed mc and jumped the gun at how she could only be lying like that part just made him go from my fav character to my most loathed character. also suddenly the few mentions of riki being 'cute and evil' compared to everyone else makes so much sense, and tbh i don't trust that he'd stay quiet abt those ss he's just gonna be bored and leak them after a while i feel like.

oh and i cant forget abt the jay scene in the hotel GOD i had such a viceral emotional reaction to every dialogue they said— my brain is thoroughly jumbled, a smut scene on ecstasy could never compare to the gut wrenching situationship break up that was. if i may be honest, jay's a pussy lmao wdym you can't be wrong and admit you're not even half as bad as u thought lol anw he's going straight into the complicated men box. sorry that was me trying to cope w the fact that all of the progress jay and mc made was just gone like that and it's all back to square one now, i can't deal w that loss rn im fr mourning over it. there's just a lot to say abt that scene it might be my all time favorite piece of fanfic i've read in my life, im losing my mind at the contrast between mc wanting to savor the moment and make it last longer while jay's trying to get it over with bc i know that he knows if he takes as much time as he'd like, he'd actually realize he loves her and that's just too much of big boy feelings for him (im bullying him too much bc im so sour rn)

also the reveal w jake dealing w addiction was eye opening, like now im rethinking back to all the times he's been fidgety and including that recent scene w mc when he comes out of the restrooms, god i was dying for the mc to just get in there and ivestigate around BUT SHE DIDN'T im so pissed. jake's definitely shown some cracks in this part and i can't wait to see him be vulnerable to mc and be honest for once, he's hiding too much and i still don't trust him i can't lie.

and i think we might be only skimming the surface w the other members, i weirdly adore sunoo lmao he's such a cryptid being, and tbh the only good thing that came out of this was sunghoon and lily being a maybe healthy couple, i love love that scene w him and lily it's such a sweet and cute moment in between all the shit mc's digging herself in lmao. i don't think i have an opinion on heeseung yet other than he obviously cares for his members, or at least the kc's reputation, and has his bearings together enough to tell the mc straight up abt all of that. also jungwon.... why do i hear boss music.... LMAO but honestly the bit where it mentioned that he got shit on everyone combined w the ending had me clawing at the walls, he's gonna be important later on and im feeling the nerves crawl up my spine even though he's never shown up once in this part, im that scared of him 😭

im terrified at what's to come, like actual dread on if riki's abt to spill everything to jay and if jay will find out and— this is too overwhelming and my mind's so cluttered lol. anw im not gonna speculate anything rn for my health but im gonna write this last paragraph in appreciation for the way you write morally gray characters, like just completely blown away by how complex and unpleasant they were written, and i mean unpleasant bc i fr know some ppl who'd act this way, it's bone chilling. granted not to the extent these characters are but it's still enough to take me back into the headspace and social circle in my younger years, just the deep regret crashing all over me again lol. not to say this was horrible no no quite the exact opposite this is the most fun and absorbed i've got from a fic in a long time, this left such an impression on me that it sneaks into the back of my mind all the time, which amplifies everytime i open this app just to scroll and i always unconsciously search ur user to see if you've updated or not.

also suddenly the few mentions of riki being 'cute and evil' compared to everyone else makes so much sense, and tbh i don't trust that he'd stay quiet abt those ss he's just gonna be bored and leak them after a while i feel like.

I sort of wanted to emphasize that anyone who would join the Karma Club would inherently be predisposed to doing horrible things for their own enjoyment. Also, as in real life, sometimes the nicest people can do horrible things. People are far more contradictory than we give them credit for. That being said, no spoilers on what he'll do with the screenshots. It's been fascinating to see the revulsion towards Riki's actions compared to what Jay has done to the MC.

If it makes you feel any better, they aren't really at square one. Square one was Jay harassing her nonstop because he truly was disgusted by her, in as equal measure as he was fascinated by her. Like he said, he now doesn't even know if he hates her anymore. So even though it seems like they've gone to the beginning, this is new territory for both of them. Jay is a huge pussy, though. He calls Jake a pussy, but Jake has made more genuine attempts to get close to Y/N than him LOL

god i was dying for the mc to just get in there and ivestigate around BUT SHE DIDN'T im so pissed. jake's definitely shown some cracks in this part and i can't wait to see him be vulnerable to mc and be honest for once, he's hiding too much and i still don't trust him i can't lie.

It's good that you don't trust him. At that point, Heeseung had already told Y/N to just be nice to Jake, so she didn't want to bother him. Heeseung essentially told her that she was part of the reason why Jake relapsed, so she doesn't want to toe the line.

i don't think i have an opinion on heeseung yet other than he obviously cares for his members, or at least the kc's reputation, and has his bearings together enough to tell the mc straight up abt all of that. also jungwon.... why do i hear boss music.... LMAO but honestly the bit where it mentioned that he got shit on everyone combined w the ending had me clawing at the walls

The only other time I've ever done that is for Tired of What We Are, and I think you can see some of the parallels. • it would’ve been nice to see janus and lillian some other characters that werent best friends with Aphmau. yes there’s Zane and Gene but they’re antag for like one episode each and you can’t seriously tell me that the whole of the remaining school body loves Aphmau and is on good terms with her

On the whole “does Kaiba die / stay or get stuck in the afterlife?” thing

I never thought Kaiba doesn't get back from the ending of DSoD. Yeah, I know there was the ~untested~ tech that was mentioned but honestly it seemed more like a line thrown in for possible sequel bait or just for the sake of open-endedness/vauge storytelling style a la many Japanese story telling (re: my essay on that). 

And from a character point, no, I don't think there's any way in hell that Seto would gamble the chances of permanently orphaning Mokuba again. No matter how much tunnel vision he got for his goal (and no matter how grieved he was. And I hate it that people spin it to pit the headcanoned romantic love between him and Atem against his canonical love of Mokuba and it's the possible and unconfirmed romo love that “wins”. 

[I am NOT trying to bash on pride here, I actually quite enjoy that ship when work is put into it and all the nuance and complexity isn't sucked out of it for quick hurt/comfort or just turned into a glorified/romanticized toxic love horny fest]. But even if it was confirmed canon, stop pitting romo love against platonic love and have one come out as the "winner" mmkay? There's already enough damaging amatonormativity ingrained in society ok thanks.

Grief makes you do wild things, sure and everyone reacts to grief differently. But Seto has never been a gambler and I don't think after all the character development he's been though he would risk his relationship with Mokuba like that (this is taking consideration of how technically this is the manga continuity Kaiba who has done Death T and all that and messed up pretty bad with Mokuba before). I just don't think he'd run off to see/challenge/get closure from Atem and ditch his precious little brother behind with great odds that he would never see him again. Not after all the times he’s put his life on the line to protect Mokuba.

I've always thought he comes back. It just may have a cost and may not be a straight shot there and back. I think the ~untested~ tech means he doesn't know how long it will take or how much stress it puts on the user, a la the purple particles eating away at Kaiba in the post credit scene that seem to be threatening to send him back to his own dimension (again DIMENSION it's not a time machine). No, I don't think it's anything crazy like YEARS pass before he gets back. I think a couple of weeks at most. And no, I don't think Mokuba was crying and begging Seto to not have this goal in the first place. Mokuba is quite gung-ho the entire movie about getting and defending the puzzle. Hell, he headbutts Diva off the puzzle container when Mokuba had no way to know if he'd land safely or just die. He interrogates Diva to try and get the puzzle piece. He closes up the shop for Yugi and says a happy hi before the tournament. That seems far from someone who wants Seto to just let it go.

This is a bit more on the speculation side for canon hates digging into Mokuba’s feelings much sadly, but I think Mokuba has his own sense of unfinished business with Atem as well which plays a part in his motivation to help this goal. Atem is also someone he had bonded with on some level. He and Yugi were one of the first people to help him, ever, that wasn't Seto. They aided him in Duelist Kingdom. Then again in the Legendary Heroes arc when he had no one else to turn too. He seemed so...surprised in both cases. Clearly someone who's not used to being able to ask for help, much like Seto. 

But now this person is gone. One of the few people Mokuba felt he could go to if he had a problem or needed to ask for help. I can easily see Mokuba thinking, “how come he cared enough to help me all those times but not say goodbye?” (though again, we don’t know exactly what happened there, if the Kaiba brothers were unable to contact or of the main crew literally just didn’t call them up, so I’m in no way trying to assign blame here, but I could see how this is how Mokuba would see it and feel about it).

 I think Mokuba misses him too, or at the very least misses him as someone he can depend on and place his trust in. The following may be a bit of a stretch on evidence for I don't know who writes the lines for Duel Links, but if you challenge Yami Yugi as DSOD Mokuba and win, his expression is sad, saying, “You thought you could run from Seto without one last Duel?" I think Mokuba certainly sees the departure hurt Seto, but I also think it hurt him. I think he’s also trying to say, ‘You thought you could run from us without saying bye?’

So no, I don't think Kaiba runs off to Atem's afterlife forever for whatever reason ship or no ship and ditches everyone and everything (don’t forget KC and Kaibaland, his life’s dream pride and joy) behind in the living dimension. I don't think he fails to get back. While the prospect of something going wrong or the tech failing is an immensely interesting fic/AU/etc idea to play around with or such because of the added mysteriousness (or because it's edgy and dark or whatnot I feel like that’s how the theory Kaiba dies really gained it’s first traction lol) I don't think that's what happened. I think it may take some more time than expected, perhaps have some magical cost that the soft magic system didn't really specify (such as having a set number of uses or something until whatever remnant power in the cube runs out, be physically straining, etc.) 

But I will never believe Seto gambled the chance of possibly orphaning Mokuba. That's my interpretation.

it's wild to me how kc fans expect klaroline to prioritize a past brief relarionship/flirtation over their separate children/families which are clearly a priority to them. i love their interactions in the originals (because i ship them obvs) but it was fantastic and realistic and right how they didn't just run off into the sunset together completely reckless like fandom seemed to expect them to. (also i always disliked the fact that people will hate hope and caroline's twins for simply existing as if every single character should be expendable to serve the kc agenda lol).

and can we just talk about the fact that tyler had to leave caroline - he had to, for his own sanity (which kc fans berated him for because pursuing vengeance for your dead mother is somehow a terrible thing to do i guess?), which is what made the forwood breakup so great and in character even if it hurt like hell as a shipper. caroline made peace with klaus's arrival into mf, all that happened afterwards, whatever weird friendship dynamic they had (enough to invite him to MF which was great for me because i like him even though it was also weird that klaus and stefan would have more of a desire to go to high school graduation than tyler, a literal eighteen year old boy who has his whole life ahead of him, and rebekah, who never got to experience graduation ONCE as opposed to stefan's pathetic ass who attended graduation needlessly like. 17 times), and even grew to accept and like him to some extent, but tyler on the other hand was thoroughly ruined by klaus, and he can't just accept and move on the way caroline did after he was victimized. it was important to him to reclaim agency and get real closure, for klaus to have comeuppance, and i love that for his character!

but also people act like he just heartlessly left caroline without a goodbye when that is clearly not true. it deeply hurt him to have to leave her behind which was why he paused when she asked him not to leave!!!!!!! he wanted to give her a magical college dance and spend time together and reinforce their bond but this is clearly a priority for him. he needs to live his life without 'permission' from klaus, his tormenter and oppressor, and people tend to villify him for this. from caroline's perspective it also makes sense that she feels abandoned and hurt because a lot of her insecurities come from being 'left.' and this is a recurring pattern for forwood which is what adds to their angst and tragedy - tyler keeps having to leave her (s2, s3, and now in s5), but he always comes back, and he leaves for both their benefit/to preserve their relationship.

Yes like if I never watched tvd and didn’t know the actual context, I'd think that Tyler left left without a word and caroline just fucked some random guy and that that's what he was mad about. I mean it still baffles me to this day that he gets shat on for choosing his MOTHER and FREEDOM over care. I mean don't get me wrong, I felt bad for her and my heart broke for her, but Tyler was not in the wrong for wanting his abuser to pay. I mean he killed him, forced him to be a hybrid, made him do things he didn't want to do, killed his MOTHER (his only family he had left), killed his pack, and ran him out of town and he's just supposed to be okay with that because he chose not to be petty for a day. As Caroline would say: "seriously". Honestly you can feel bad for care without shitting on Tyler. Tbh what I find interesting about the forwood conflicts is that I can see both sides and understand them (expect for 2 of their conflict but that's a whole other story). And I also hate when kc'ers bring up that "he's always leaving her" because that's not true and they don't even look at context. The first time, they weren't exactly on the best of terms and he was just respecting her space, the second time he left to break the sirebond, the third time he didn't even have a choice. Like Klaus FORCED him out of town for shits and giggles. And the last time he left to AVENGE HIS MOTHER. Like honestly Ty can't catch a break from parts of the fandumb.

This may be a very biased question, however, who did Klaus truly love- Caroline or Cami? I absolutely adore Klaroline, but would they even had anything more if it wasn't for when Caroline visited NOLA in S5? I seems like Caroline was only brought to TO for fan service. Did Klaus love Cami more? I've been trying to understand, and the more I think about it, the more I get sad because #klaroline4ever. I need someone elses' thoughts!

Well, this may be a very biased answer (lol), but I never bought Klamille as a thing, so, obviously...

This isn't going to be very nice on Cami, in case anyone out there might find it offensive or whatever. I don't necessarily blame the character, though, I blame the writing. Klaus having a new romantic interest was never a bad thing in itself, it was the way they did it that never sailed.

To be fair, I think it's perfectly acceptable to believe that Klaus loved Cami. But that relationship was so wrong, for so many reasons, that I could never get past the awkwardness. Cami was a prop for male tears and exposition from almost the moment she came onto the show until her literal last breath (and the few times she made an appearance after that). She was the result of a very wrong attempt to try to reproduce the KC chemistry in TO to maybe get the fans to embrace this new ship, but it was so, so, so wrong... Joseph Morgan went from having chemistry with the walls and trees in TVD to not having a slight spark with the person who was supposed to be his romantic interest (whom he was pushing towards another guy all through season 1, awww... so romantic). Klaus would've been better off with Stefan.

Cami's supposed to be this moral compass on the show, the ~~kind-hearted, good, full of light~~ person (remind you of anyone? lol) who'll drag Klaus back into the path of redemption, but all she does is literally excuse him for his terrible behavior, starting with how he treats her. Klaus is awful to her, terribly abusive. He compelled her to go out with someone against her will, even after she saw Marcel being aggressive to Thierry and was like 'nope, not for me, I'm outta here', to <i>spy</i> for him. And this gets shoved under the rug in a second. Klaus kills Elijah's girlfriend right before his eyes, then he curses Hayley into her wolf form, and Cami is literally there telling people that they have to understand that he did all that because he had a plan and he had to make it look convincing. She attempts to be mad at him because he bit her (not because he killed Gia, or cursed Hayley; because he bit her) and when he says he was just pretending, she smiles and that's it. Let it go. And then I'm supposed to believe that this is the person who's going to bring the best out of Klaus? Klaus goes on being the same unapologetic jackass he always was.

And then season 3 happens and it's just... It's painful. I abandoned TO on S3 for many reasons, I couldn't watch it anymore, but what they do to Klamille there is like... Is this seriously supposed to be the climax of this pairing? When she turns into a vampire and becomes this total crazy bitch (WHY? isn't vampirism supposed to enhance what you are? WHY oh WHY would good pure cinnamon roll Cami become 500 years old Katherine?), Klaus is having doubts over her. Hayley has to tell him that he's gonna have to accept that the person he knew is gone and she's someone else now. I think it was supposed to make us realize that Cami had ~~darkness~~ in her, but... Honestly, if that was the case, there are some fic writers in the fandom who could've done a better job than the people getting paid to write those scripts.

Camille was a character that was treated so, so badly by the writers it's hard to even defend her. She had inconsistent writing, no agency within the plot whatsoever, never got her own story lines, never developed into something more substantial, and all she was there for was to explain to us, viewers, how terribly misunderstood Klaus was (and also to babysit, which is what she does all through season 2). She spends three seasons chasing after him when he repeatedly shoves her away, so when she was finally killed off, I felt genuinely sad for her. Not even her death was about her. She was meant to be a strong female character, instead she got absolutely nothing, died as a minor sidekick who got no reward out of her involvement with Klaus, and was using her last breaths to tell him "he's good". Honey, were you not watching your own show?

Caroline, on the other hand, never lets Klaus get away with being awful. She holds him accountable for the crap he does, she points fingers, she doesn't just take his bullshit excuses and 'oh, I'm so damaged' crap. At the same time she's obviously attracted to him, tempted by these little snippets of hidden depths she gets to see, she doesn't just excuse his wrongdoings. She pushes Klaus out of his comfort zone, forces him to reassess his behavior, to consider right vs convenient, and even if it's just for her sake, he actually does change. He lets Tyler off the hook (more than once), he risks getting caught to save her from those vampire hunters, he drops everything to help Stefan with Rayna Cruz, he forsakes his revenge party against Katherine. He's killing his way through France, being a crappy father to his 15yo, then Caroline shows up, stuns him with some truths, and he instantly reconsiders. It's things that meant something to Klaus, people who had personally wronged him, situation that might put him and his family in danger, not like that extra whoever cop he "helps" in S3 who made absolutely no difference in his life whether he lived or died. He even showed a degree of regret over killing Carol when he asked Damon how he got away being forgiven for the crap he did.

In turn, Klaus was always the one person who saw the best of Caroline and completely acknowledged it. She wasn't ashamed of her vampirism, she enjoyed all the perks, and while everyone else was being broody over it, sorry for themselves, she was out there kicking ass. Klaus knew her better than her best friends, understood how she longed for more, how curious she was, how restless she would grow by being stuck forever as a sidekick in Mystic Falls. Everything he said to her was like a revelation. He was the only romantic interest in Caroline's life to truly put her first. And I want to say that they never got together in TVD because she wasn't ready to leave her mortal life behind and fully embrace immortality but the truth is they never got together because some idiot decided to make The Originals happen. lol We all know that 'I should've turned my back on you ages ago' thing would've ended up in hot hybrid-vampire sex if TO hadn't been picked up by the network.

This is not to say that there weren't problems there, of course there were, but the two of them genuinely did get the best out of each other. Klaus allowed Caroline to be accepted and appreciated for who she truly was, while she got Klaus to show true selflessness.

So I personally never bought Klamille. It fell completely flat for me. But I don't think believing Klaus loved Cami diminishes how he felt for Caroline. The guy is immortal. To think he would never have feelings for anyone other than Caroline is naive. The brief little moments Caroline gets mentioned in TO are very telling of how Klaus still felt about her even years and years later. That phone call. How he never denies loving her to Stefan, how he tells Stefan they'll be seeing each other again if he doesn't do right by her. On the letter he sent her when she opens the school, he repeats the 'however long it takes', which is a reaffirmation of the promise he made her. How he says he didn't want to know if she would let him die or not. That look he gives her when she says she'd been to New Orleans after him and he wasn't there.

Caroline was his endgame, and he was hers. The two of them could've had different loves, met different people over the course of their lives, but they were always, always meant to find each other again in the end. So, to answer your question (lol), no I don't think Klaus' endgame would've ever been Camille, and yes, I do think Caroline would've ended up in New Orleans at some point, or he would've ended up with her, wherever she was. If there had been even an inch of consistency in TO S5 and if JP hadn't been on a crusade to punish the actors who were apparently unhappy with her and unwilling to ever come back for Legacies, that's how the story would've ended. It's hard to make any real interpretation of the show when we know how those scripts got written, how little thought went into staying true to characters and their journeys, but that's what I believe.

Ha, yes agreed it is much easier to roll with the bad guys when they're vampires. He's been manipulative and stalker-y but not necessarily controlling with Sofia, if that makes sense? So I don't hate the idea of them together, tbh. I thought they had better chemistry but we shall see what S2 brings (I've only watched ep 1 so far and he's not in it, except for apparently posting thotty pictures lol).

the thing that kills me about bakugou is when the plf go "having a powerful quirk means i'm better than you"and basically advocate for eugenics, it's horrible and corrupt, but when bakugou does it, it's lol funny and 'oh that gremlin.' in a recent chapter he made fun of the past OFA holders for having 'weak' quirks and dying and he said these things in front of Toshi, who has himself given so much. just...what was the point of him knowing about OFA if he was just going to be a disrespectful ass?

I have no idea why it was necessary for him to know, tbh. I think it was a waste of an opportunity to give him growth by NOT telling him. And honestly, I agree that k*tsuki and the plf have similar ideals because they’re elitists. :/ They think they’re better than others. Unironically, the lov wanting k*tsuki on their side would have been like, them all sharing this same thought. Idk, I just don’t like him. The things he says and does are played off as comedic relief now and it’s honestly so annoying. He needs to be brought down from his pedestal.

I agree with this completely. That thing about his arms aching doesn’t show much of the consequences at all. And he gets over it rather quickly. I hate that he has so much plot armor.

But I think people really stretch it to give him a tragic backstory when in reality, he doesn’t have one. He is a spoiled brat. Shouto has proven how to be a better person. He’s just a better character in general.

But the narrative acts like their good friends now and I have been feeling so frustrated with this, I wanted a mutual relationship with mutual respect on both sides and bk//dk hasn't reached that part and it shouldn't take this long for it to be. 3/3

It’s so long overdue and now things are played as comedic relief like him hurting Izuku with his spike and also being extremely disrespectful during the ofa meetings. Their relationship isn’t healthy and it isn’t friendly, no matter how canon wants to paint it that way.

Thank you, I’m glad to hear it. I don’t like that he, a literal bully who has suicide baited Izuku and has hurt him with his explosion quirk, is the fandom’s favorite and the most popular character. Literally any other character would have been better to stan than him. He’s everywhere and I can’t enjoy part of the series because of him always being there. It’s so annoying. I will continue to yell about why he is not a good character until horikoshi gives us the development he desperately needs AND an apology to Izuku for being so abusive to him. And yes, bullying is abuse.
