Hello and welcome to a special project called Sona lore!

This is something I have been working on for like...3 months?

Anygays, I'm finally ready to tell you all the true story behind the persona(s)

this is ess, my ratsona!!! lore dump now :3

Ess and his sister are hog-nosed shrew rats, as pictured here and in my pfp:

They were discovered in 2015, and Ess’ sister just so happened to be unluckily snatched by a couple scientists. The birth of Lab Rat 013 (my actual irl sister lol). Many heists later, Ess managed to rescue Teenie (as in: thirteenie) though her physical appearance and abilities were quite altered.

They hopped on the back of a produce van on their way out and cruised from place to place, eventually settling in the s1 mansion together. By the end of s1, they had set out once again on foot, and managed to enter a plane, which flew them to Europe. Teenie stayed in Amsterdam, whilst Ess made his way to Paris and found himself in Le Terriere.

details:

- He carries around a lil isopod named isaac, who is very sleepy.

- He has “seeing goggles” as created by s1!owen, his eyesight is terrible

- Was very good friends with farmer rat in s1 before moving

- The puncture wounds in his ear are from Teenie (hog-nosed shrew rats have particularly long, nearly canine-looking teeth and cannot gnaw or chew, anthropomorphism allows for some creativity in spacing)

- Developed a very strong love for apples after riding on many vans carrying crates of them

- Very respectful of farmers and nature, never takes more than he needs and always shares. Doesn’t know much, but is fascinated about biology and loves to discuss scientific theories with s2!scott

- Was telling Will his backstory when Ratman overheard… “RESCUE??? YOU RESCUED SOMEONE??? :000 WOWWWW!!!!!!”

- Pleasantly unbothered by Tubrat’s cult, thinks it’s rather wholesome he wants friends

- Not great at knowing the names of things… great at naming things!

- Main “power” is that all creatures tend to be more docile towards him, and the cat does not attack him

So here's my sona (the photos just from a diner I went to awhile ago, food was good, and I was allowed to draw and put it on the wall)

Their name is L and are, as my profile description says, an eldritch rat. I decided to give them some lore for fun (again) and they were basically an ejected eldritch god (originally it was meant to say rejected but my phones shitty autocorrect changed it to ejected and I just rolled with it lmao)

I rarely draw honestly because my motivation is deeper than the fucking void ._.

I'm curious, what inspired your sona?

Oh this is gonna be long. I'm first gonna split it in a few parts.

Origin

Aqua stated as a Club Penguin Persona back in 2013, sadly all media of that era has been lost to time, but she was a brown penguin with brown/blue hair and a yellow beanie. Later on she I made her human and based on me.

As time went on and I joined college (2018) I was experimenting more, which leads to her Colors.

Colors

Simple. Aqua is based on Web Safe Colors.

I was in the middle of Web Design class when we learned about them and I challenged myself to make a character based on those colors and my boyfriend at the time (now ex) is into country music and I'm into EDM music so I based "Aqua" off of a DJ.

2023 Designs

As I got more confident with her design I was trying to find the outfit for her, that's where my best friend @lab-katt comes into play. As he's an amazing character designer, and created Cyber Bun Aqua as in idea. We leaned HEAVY into her DJ side.

Of course over the year I slow did more detailing, trying to see how far I can push her design with it being to crazy and I finally settled on her main design of 2024. Messing with her hair more. Her having extra green from her hair, funny enough, came from Murder Drones Remix which slow was added to most of her outfit. Aqua does have tattoos all over her body I just never did an updated version of them, so I have her old ones.

Of course Aqua isn't human. In her world, humans are called mutants, having powers and abilities.

Personality Inspiration

-Of course DJ Cadence is gonna be the oldest inspiration. She runs her own club so of course Aqua does too.

-Marina designs in any game are just flawless, and her being a skilled hacker. Aqua is not a skilled hacker but lives in a highly advanced City that she helped rebuild.

-I adore the game No Straight Roads and DJ Subatonic Supernova (Bottom right) and SAYU (Top Right) played a big roll in Aqua's design and music type she plays in her club.

A.I.K. and Red Hood fall under Aqua's fighting style.

-Aqua paralyzes her opponents by hitting different parts of there nervous system or trapping them in a spider web like attack.

- Aqua was a vigilantly before becoming a DJ, cleaning up her city a gang related crimes, very much like Red Hood. She also fights like a brute, hitting extremely hard and not holding back, but never killing.

Both her jacket and Bangles on her feet are weighted heavy (150lbs for her jacket 50lbs each for her bangles)

So hiiii Diaaa!! IM the anon that dropped Sethe lore and I wanted to know something about the mafia thing Thats going on, what is your mafia about? (if I can explain myself well)

I mean, if its an organized crime, sure thing all your sonas are enough CAOTIC to Just make caos and destrucion because ✨yes✨, but you (as the mafia boss) must setle WHAT is the thing you do that is ilegal.

Assuming this mafia thingamajick happens in the 1920's, the golden era of animation and mafias, here are your options:

1- Alcohol traficking: With the Drougth law (a law prohibiting alcohol and its sale), a large part of the mafias took advantage of it to illegally sell alcohol, (which was relatively easy to get and make) and create speakeasies where they sold their alcohol and played music. The pros of this is that ALL kinds of people were involved, from the neighborhood rat to the puritanical politician, so you had them all tied up so that no one would talk about it too much. The cons are that, being the most well-known crime of that era, it was much more likely to turn the Police against you, plus it's an easy crime to charge.

2- Money laundering: A crime so popular that even now it is still being done. Although I don't know its mechanisms, you are all artists, so copying Ben Frankling face and printing it can't be more difficult than drawing Pomni demogorgon, or Corrupted Gangle. The pros are that it's easy, it's hard to identify (if you do it right), and that it has a lot of facades that are very easy to put up (e.g. the classic laundromat). The cons are that if you don't do it right, you're going to get caught right away and it got some REALLY hard punishment.

3- Drug dealing: This is one of the most popular crimes where I live in (if you can guess ;). Easy to do (growing marijuana or tobacco is ridiculously easy, trust me I have experience) this is one of the must-haves for beginner mafias. The pros are that, by making your clients addicted, no one is going to talk at all. The Cons are that (just like alcohol trafficking) it's super wanted, and there are entire institutions after you.

4- Cabarets & Pleasure Houses: *sigh* Do I really have to put this guys? (Yes, we're paying you for this!) As you can imagine, these are houses where people offer their "services", which are usually sexual. I don't want to say anything else, but technically it's legal in many countries and it's almost the same as with drug trafficking and addiction, no one wants to snitch. The Cons are, by having lots of workers, there are more probabilities that some one It's going to talk.

5- Hitmen: Although not very accessible to the common human, it produces far more profit than the rest of the crimes on this list. The pros are that your sonas are so violent and strong that they will clean the floor with the other shoddy killers. The Cons is that if your agency's existence is publicly known, you screwed up.

6- Trafficking in favors: The very foundation of the mafias, this "trafficking" consists of: You, a poor person, want to pay for your university or get a job, or whatever. This kind and wealthy mafia offers you money, help, or whatever you need, in exchange for you returning the favor in a while. The favor you return may be to give money, asylum, weapons, sell what your mafia sells, or not tell the police that the money your community uses is fake. And so, the rest of the poor people, taking pity on their own friend, don't speak out to protect and help him, and just like that, you, the mafia, become untouchable. You already know the pros, and the Cons is that, if some foreigners who doesent have debts to pay tries to do something, Maybe, just Maybe, they could defeat you (in a VERY unlikely scenario)

So, tthese are the options! What do you want your Majesty? Its up to you to decide! If this is a question already answered Im really really Sorry for Messing with you. And if your mafia happens in the actual times, you still can use all of them (except the alcohol traficking)

im gonna talk about my sona's lore here i guess because it turns out i do feel like it

basically computer rat/ratmouse is just a rat guy andhe's stuck in a computer! and xe has funny little code eyes and rat ears and nose and access to the internet. it has a really bright color palette and stuff. and she's been stuck there for a super long time with no one else so his dopple is a nice surprise

and dopple ratmouse has the same design but just. duller and is more anxious
