I feel like there's sort of a difference between being a villain and being an antagonist, right? Like most villains are antagonists, but not all antagonists are villains
#like sometimes theyre just there to oppose the protagonist#make things difficult or reflect or contrasts etc#that doesnt make them automatically a 'bad guy'#L is the antagonist in DN for example but he's not a clear villain (nor hero imo)#i would say heathcliffe is the main antagonist in wuthering heights probably from what i remember but#he wasn't like the most morally incorrect of them all or something#most of them kinda sucked bc it just sucked to live there basically#but he was the one mostly pulling all the strings#but i also dont know who I'd even say was the protagonist in WH like was it the narrator?#who mostly just listened to the story second hand#hmhmhm idkidk#p
