In defense of the original, while I do agree the episodic vibes were a bit much at times, and it was something I kinda had to work my way through slowly rather than binging all in one...

I do kinda prefer the more gradual approach to laying out the information; getting to know both the setting and who Vash is as a person and the different facets of both, before getting the context that lets it all click into place. Plus the main quartet having ample time to grow together so that later developments have stronger emotional weight.

I will agree that Knives definitely suffered in focus, and I am interested in how Stampede handles him, but admittedly he wasn't really what I watched Trigun for in the first place. ^^;

yeah my gripe is less with the way the setting and characters were handled and more with the way the. actual plot was handled. it honest to god felt to me like they realized about halfway through their run that they didnt have enough episodes left to get the backstory in in a cohesive way so they just shoved it all into one episode and pretended that that explanation didn't create more questions than it answered. you spend 20 episodes teasing your audience like "ooooh what is vash?? clearly hes not human!! clearly there's something going on!!! don't you want to know whats going on?? keep watching and you'll totally understand whats going on!!" and then your big reveal is that. He Is Not Human. which is something that any idiot who has watched the last 20 episodes has already figured out. the question the audience ACTUALLY has at that point in the runtime is what, EXACTLY, is vash, and what the context is behind the conflict he and knives are in. the backstory episode explains that Knives Is Here, and it gives context to the setting and everything, but it pissed me off that it STILL didn't answer the actual mysteries i cared about, i.e. vash's real identity and the thing with the gun and his fucking arm and knives's motivations and everything. maybe that gets answered in the last episode that i neglected to watch but personally I prefer a story where i UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON by the time the final confrontation hits. with trigun it got to a point where vash was going out for the final battle with knives and i STILL didn't know who vash was, who knives was, where they came from, or what the hell their motivations were. that just made that final confrontation seem so wholly uninteresting to me that i didn't even feel like watching it. it was like "hey look vash is fighting a cardboard cutout that he is Afraid Of. Why? lmao idk man. probably has something to do with that weird spaceship that shows up in one whole episode before this point. not going to tell you how tho." I think some writers have this tendency to think that mystery = good writing and that not revealing anything to your audience will consistently draw them in for more, but that only works for so long. after 20 episodes of virtually net 0 information it got to feel like I was being strung along and like my questions were never going to be answered, so I gave up on the show in the final hour. Again, i'm not saying it was BAD necessarily and i understand the context in terms of writing and production that led to the show being produced that way but i think it really noticeably suffers due to the fact that it refuses to give the audience ANYTHING but crumbs of information for about 80% of it's runtime. that being said. i did genuinely like a lot of it. it has its moments. im not trying to discourage anyone from watching it or anything lol i just think stampede is a little more successful in keeping the viewer engaged in the story throughout by constantly feeding you bits of information and actually answering your questions as they become plot-relevant.

their friendship is stronger than ever, which shane says is evidenced by the fact that he has not murdered ryan yet

they reviewed two pieces of evidence submitted by audience members, one of which was a porch cam of what the submitter claimed to be their cat who had passed a week prior to the footage. shane called bullshit (he “has a cat, knows what they look like”) on this person’s beloved dead ghost cat evidence and then retracted his bullshit because he felt bad

apparently in kansas city ryan immediately deescalated a potential bar fight involving producer lizzie, carter, and a really drunk man by throwing his arm around the angry drunk guy and asking him if he likes disneyland

they did the human speaker/spirit box segment live in the theatre. after several minutes of nonsense and some burpees, ryan very pointedly told the “spirit” that this is their LAST chance to tell him their name. after a few seconds of silence shane just let out a soft opera note into the microphone

ryan is more afraid of ghosts than he is people because at least he can fight a person

shane wants ryan to fistfight zak bagans, who MIGHT have intentionally sabotaged a few paranormal sites so that they wouldn’t let the ghoul boys in. but WHO can say really

okay, more HCs. This one is only Scara, so things might get a lil dark- I'm not normal about him. anywho: Scaramouche: -autistic. I am going to say this about every Harbinger, bc it's the truth. -most traumatized mfer in all of Teyvat. This one is inspired by that one researcher who made up a story about him eating a humans arm. The image of little Scara munching on various dangerous items is so cute -related to the above: he still does it sometimes, to fuck with people. Dottore thinks its great. Pierro had to stop him from getting Kuni to eat a delusion. -Eyes (& markings) always glow at least slightly, even if he's not using his powers. Its not really noticeable in the day, but at night you can see it pretty well -hates Pantalone. Not bc he's jealous of him hanging out with Dottore or something (if anything, Pantalone gets jealous), but just because he is an ass. -Went to the Abyss again for a long time, just after Arlecchino became a Harbinger, and kind of forgot that Crucy was replaced. Came back and was like "who the FUCK- oh right". Why? because I think its funny -In general, has a better relationship with most of the female Harbingers than the male ones. -a little self indulgent, but I like to think that he was able to float a lil with electro as well. We see Raiden and Ei do it, and I think it'd be cute if he was able to as well, if to a lesser degree. -has used almost every element at some point, testing delusions with Dotty. Mostly bc I can't really imagine all those researchers just throwing 4 extra elements at shouki no kami and being like "figure it out" -speaking of delusions: I think he didn't use one. His electro is inert and I dont think he used another element. I see people headcanoning his delusion as Anemo, and I get it, but I don't like it all that much -SPEAKING of his electro being inert to his body- I refuse to believe he lost electro completely. The whole "oh he used up his divinity" is lazy. He can still connect to Irminsul, which he only learned while ascending, but he cant use electro anymore, something that he's had since birth? Bullshit. I understand him not using it, but I think it'd be more impactful if that was a voluntary choice. I'd really like to see him recover it over the course of the story -I think Youkai like him. Obviously this excludes Yae Miko, but I think as Kabukimono it wouldn't be strange to see him being followed by some Tanuki or the lesser Kitsune. I would really like to see him interact with the Youkai Children from that one Inazuma event, I think it'd be really cute. -I like seeing people write about him and Kujou Sara, both romantic, platonic and as enemies. The two of them are very similar in some aspects, and then radically different in others. I think it'd be really interesting to see Kujou Sara confronted with her own trauma being reflected onto Ei. I guess this is mostly because I just really like Sara and I want my favs to interact xD -more of a theory, but I think Pierro and Dottore, (will) remember him. He has a lot of foreshadowing in his voiceline about Pierro & Dotty, and other things. He's very clearly endgame/lore relevant, with his story not even being finished. -not a HC, but I wanted to mention it: I'm still stuck in Inversion of Genesis on my main account. I never played past it. I did the Fontaine and Natlan quests for friends/watched them online, but I'm still in IoG on my main, because I never fully decided on a name -last one bc character limit: I really like to imagine him interacting with Neuvilette. I think there could be a lot of interesting discussions had here- Neuvi would absolutely dissaprove of his attempt to overthrow Nahida, but at the same time I think he would, to some degree, understand his obsession with the gnosis. No, the gnosis/authority doesn't belong to Scara (or Ei, for that matter), but I think if you told Neuvi that Scara was quite literally created to hold it, he'd understand, to a degree.

Becky and Joe walked on stage wearing sunglasses and red leather jackets and threw 3 of the trio plushies into the crowd. didn't get one unfortunately but it's really cool some people got free plushies :)

they made this robot child called the Inspiration Child, who's clearly meant to be a nod to ai (can learn from our show and generate it's own content!)

they explained how they met (and had some dodgy animated retelling), and how they started with small projects like commercials and music videos, until they came up with designs of the trio (and a mysterious fourth fella)

they made the designs first, then made the set, then the song and finally wrote the script for creativity. red guy was just a red mop head with legs at first ("alien squid thing") but Joe put the red guy head on for shits and giggles once and Becky thought it was hilarious so they kept it in the show

they were really not expecting it to blow up, and when Sundance called because they wanted to show creativity Becky thought it was a scam caller lol

they talked about the kickstarter and the credit card fraud kid. the mailed him saying "hey maybe dont do that" but the kid didnt know how to undo it cuz he just found a website full of credit card information and went ham, so Becky and Joe had to contact kickstarter because people were pulling out of the funding because they thought the project was overfunded (kickstarter was very difficult to contact)

they also made (lighthearted) fun of nsfw fluffybird art ((no padlock 😔) "using OUR characters to act out their SICK FANTASIES" - Becky) and theorists, especially because most if not all of the webseries is just them fucking around.

Inspiration Child also says something along the lines of "wow what a cool show with a great message of how corrupt the media is. I hate the media!"

Becky and Joe had these rules to make the show as vague as possible (no pop culture references, no names, no swearing and way too much detail put into small things)(the duck guy drag queen absolutely obliterates the no swearing rule lol)

they talk about the pilot, how they focused too much on the story because they felt like they had to due to it being on the big screen now, and how it ended up ruining the atmosphere and such of the pilot. they did show the entire thing sped up but my phone sucks ass so I could not get it to focus correctly. I'll see what I can salvage so you people can dissect frames of your blorbo you're Legally Not Allowed To See (which is also the official reason we don't get the pilot)

also pilot concept art showed that Mean Steve is in fact just called Key

they showed a whole post-it wall full of ideas for the tv show. don't know how much I got on footage, but what stood out most to me were 2 episodes called Money and Christmas. Joe mentioned "clock in a wheelchair" specifically

also really fun fact. Becky made the Lesley suit during covid, and pretty much threatened Baker into writing a human character into the show to wear it. concept art also shows Lesley with a mask made out of the same fabric, don't know if this was part of the original suit tho

But everyone thought he was cursed to tell the truth, so when he says all kinds of horrible things to people they believe him thinking that he has been compelled to say what he really thinks of them. The curse is only broken after people realize he is lying (not truthing). Wei Wuxian then has a series of conversations with the various characters as he reassures them that he was lying and that he didn’t mean whatever he said. He also has some angst about how people so easily thought the worst of him / believed his lies. This plot is so clear in my head but I just can’t find it in my ao3 history! Yes yes hi! Hello! I am the morgan fan ever! Ive watched his videos on repeat as sleep aid and I think that should be studied—anyways. So. MORGAN.

Morgan is a seer obscura who works (could just be worked? i mean we really dont know the details of morgans job, but, it really could just be that he spoke with his listener, seer obscura, because he is the only OTHER seer obscura in the world) with/for/through The Department (D.U.M.P.)

He comes off as a pretty calm soul, someone who likes to dive into the bits in pieces of things. A big word guy, if you catch my drift…but he also comes off as a tad bit nervous or even intimidated in his first audio, the one where he and his listener meet as theyre seeking counsel for their issues in regards to their empowerment and magic, since he is noticeably taking time to curate his sentences while also clarifying that he doesnt have to be the seer to help his listener if they dont want it. Which cpuld insist that his LISTENER also seemed uneasy or even rude depending on your interpretation of it

And them theres a whole lotta seer lore that ill sum up under the cut.

Later on, it’s confirmed that morgans listener, Seer Obscura, is struggling with their sight AND that they somehow were affected by the inversion (Or, maybe just confused as to how they didnt see it at all…but again, they ARE a seer obscura…and the inversion obscured allllllll sorta seer sight…aka, the inversion was “radio static”, for a lack of a better term, for all seers. or just. not there, if that helps.)

The second audio takes place a few months to a year later…and its the listener seeming advice for their magic. all of the lore dump from the three audios will be under the cut, so, i wont summarize this audio too much. Just let it be known that

Seer obscura was born with their seer magic and abilities yet choose to hide it

Hid as an illusory

Only came out of ‘hiding’ for help

Throughout all three audios, via my interpretation, feels guilty and or awkward for reaching out for help/to morgan

Sooo round comes the third audio. We got seer obscura panicking and dialing up morgans number in the middle of the night/very early morning. (Hence the “hes half asleep” in the video title)

despite it being late…despite morgan being tired as FUCK.

He assures seer obscura that they are no burden to him and that, if they need someone, morgan is walking to help. So yk, seer obscura is obv a lil panicky and is like “Okay, do I meet uou at the office—?”

and then morgan is like giggling and goes “I dont live at the office*” which is silly to me and funny. so anyways, morgan goes “ten miles north of the office” (yes i remembered this)

ok and then seer obscura pulls up, morgan apologizes for the mess.!and for the majority of the audio morgan goes on to explain exactly how things differ between seers and seer obscuras + how he sees things in a dofferent light from the rest ofbthe seer population

and then at the end of the audio, they walk off to morgans balcony and morgan goes on this lil rant about how he doesn’t know what seer obscura wants and he cant know unless he figures that out for himself with them

and then they gain that little ‘friendship badge’ with the whole “I want to get to know you” trope. bc that was along the lines of morgans words. so yeah

oh yeah and then it ends with morgan and seer walking back into the apartment wirh morgan offering to “make breakfast” although he jokes that the best he can do for them is a bowl of cereal.

and then heres lore below

Random Basic Seer Facts:

- Seers can be latents or human born

- Sight can not be learned. Either you are born with the ability to see the future or you can’t at all. Not even demons can use this magic

- The first thing a seer sees is their death

- Foresight is inseparable from the magical core, only way to get rid of the foresight is to cut threads of power (removing all magic)

- can use any sort of magic

- All Seers are sunbound

- Seers can in fact not be turned into vampires

- They can *easily hide* their cores cleverly from any other race

- The magical race (Yk, seers) are very, very rare.

- Specific things like stress or caffeine and trigger their sight powers. Really, depends on who you are. It varies.

- Choose not to use your sight and your powers will build up in pressure, involuntarily releasing as sight magic. Like a valve. You can open it, or it can burst itself

- Involuntary sight is pretty disorienting, lowkey feels like derealization if I were to have a say in it

- Can control the length, depth, and pretty much anything else out of sight. It’s at the control of the holder as long as they *know* how to control it

Important must knows

- Although Seers can “*see the future*”, they ACTUALLY only see the variables in the situation. It’s like mathematics and quantity. Probability machines. NOT SET IN STONE. Nothing is confirmed because factors within the sight can be *obscured*. Ex; people, places, situations, etc

- E’laetum had been looking to find a solution to vampires and boom here we have seers (I’ll. Figure out how to write this soon)

- The last Seer that the department had record of was *waaay* back in the early 1800s. Morgan and his listener are the only two recorded Seer Obscura in their century that have come forward about it. It’s likely that they are the definite only two.

- The inversion shifted the timeline (within dahlia, I’m imagining) in all. Everything seen about the future that was sought after before the events of the inversion became invalid because of the part that death played in the situation. (And death is…obscured oddly. I think it has something to do with the river but I may be reading this wrong. I’ll figure it out)

- Are told to be “Sovereign Touched”

- “Exist apart from the rest of humanity”

- “The children of E’laetum”

- Were created to “heal” what had been broken (aka settle and or smooth the vampire fiasco)

- Cores contain tiny pieces of sovereignty, this explains why only seers can use sight. No human or demon can posses these because they don’t have those bits and parts like seers do

- As soon as E’Laetun had attempted to heal the vampires, seers were formed. It had taken more magic from E’Leatum than he would’ve liked. Theses were the *first* seers.

Other

- Morgan’s listener (The one which fandom has just deemed “Seer Obscura”) hid their core and covered it with an aura of an illusory (another empowerment.) This means that nobody (**besides** other seers) knew they were a seer. All seers tend to be talented at this.

Obscura and Obscured

- It’s hard to see any (if any at all, which is said to be impossible) future that an Obscura is in. Their presence obscures and deforms the way seers use their powers. The closer you come to the obscured factor within your vision, the more static it becomes. It doesn’t completely block out, yet deranges it.

- There are places/actions that are obscured as well, which means not only people. For example: death & Aria itself.

- Any race of empowered beings can be Obscuras, actually. The title of obscura only means that your presence interferes with the timeline/sight. For all we know, someone like David could be an Obscura.

- Erik confirmed that d(a)emons themselves are not always obscured, only Aria.

The Soldality:

What is The Soldality? A group of seers who live publicly, curating a timeline to see the future—probably to prevent events like the inversion from happening. Theyre protected by the department. AND all watch the time streams and predict what the future would be. Most of them believe that there is a known outcome.

- The “known outcome” does not take account of those places and people who are obscured, making this group invalid in plenty of ways.

- Morgan himself is apart of the Soldality yet seems to have his doubts about it.

- A wide marsh of the Soldality actually don’t like Morgan/the whole idea of seer obscuras bc they dont have to *see his own death / future*

this turned out to be way longer than i had anticipated. and it didn't even really get to the lover part. but i can make a part 2 if people are really interested. streamer reader, btw. this is also incredibly long.

you and sapnap met each other in a valorant lobby. you chose to play the sage, and sapnap just happened to be having a bad day. And it just so happened you were both streaming.

"sage, do your fucking job!" his voice sounded through your headset. his tone made you do a double take, snapping you out of your concentrated trance. you looked at your chat and then your camera in disbelief before you made your way over to his downed character.

"ask nicely, asshole," you mutter under your breath, not realizing you were unmuted.

"id ask nicely if you knew how to play the fucking game," he said, causing you to freeze for a moment. then you rolled youre eyes and healed him, praying for the round to be over soon.

when the round was over and you started talking about how rude that one guy was, your chat made it aware to you that he was also a streamer.

"sapnap?" you ask, looking at your chat with a bit of disgust. "he's a big streamer? that doesn't give him the right to be an ass."

you sigh as you open up a different tab and look him up. the first thing that shows up is a picture of his face, and you couldn't help but think he was a little cute. then you remembered his condescending voice and the attraction left.

"he plays minecraft, too?" you ask out loud to no one in particular. you clicked on the first minecraft video that came up and shared your screen with your stream.

you watched a few minutes of the video, skipping through it and making your own judgments on his content.

"notice how he only plays with men...."

that judgment being that he's a misogynist.

he looked you up as well, and he couldn't help but think you were attractive as well. but he couldn't find a flaw in you as quickly as you could in him.

"she sounds.... annoying..." he said as he watched you into your youtube video. half his chat agreed while the other noticed the glint in his eye as he watched you speak.

and as fate would have it, the first time you're in an mcc, you're also put on a team with sapnap. when you see the roster, you think the name sounds familiar. that is before you realize who he was and how much you were going to hate your first mcc.

when your team started training, you tried to avoid talking to him. but it was hard when the game was built on communication.

he would be nice to everyone else, encouraging them and giving them advice, but then a complete ass to you. he refused to call you anything but "sage" and only criticized you.

and as much as you wanted to be civil with him, you simply couldn't. so you started taking small little jabs at him. and from then on, it was constant bickering that your two other teammates didn't bother to keep up with. and some days, you couldn't either.

"sapnap, get your shit together," you say tiredly.

"shut the fuck up, sage," he shoots back quickly. you roll your eyes and sigh, debating whether or not to just leave the call, turn off your pc, and go to bed.

your chats thought it was hilarious. as hostile as it felt some times, you found yourself making jokes that even made him laugh. the clips of you two laughing with each other were few but cherished within both your fandoms.

then it so happened that you two saw each other at Twitch Con. people lost their minds seeing you two greet each other stiffly. and a clip started to circulate. an angle of you meeting the dream team, but saps face very clear in the video.

his eyes raked up and down your body when he stepped back to let you hug dream and george, the glint in his eye returning. then his face turned annoyed as you smiled at his best friends. it was a strong contrast to how you gave him a tight-lipped smile and waved at him awkwardly.

afterward, dream (being the hospitable human he is) invited you out to dinner with them. you couldn't refuse, although the idea of sapnap being there made your blood boil. but you sucked it up and went to have fun with your new friends.

when the pictures were posted, people couldn't help but notice how you and sap sat on either side of dream. it looked like two fighting toddlers being separated by their mother. and it didn't help that dream tweeted it with the caption 'making sure the kids aren't fighting 🥰" people make it a thing that dnf are the parent and you two are the children.

thankfully, you two got along that night, something shifted from completely unable to stand one another to less insulting banter.

"thank you," you said to the waiter as the set down your drink. you smiled at them right before they walked away.

"thank you," he mocked once the waiter walked away. you leaned forward and glared at him.

"im sorry, do my manners bother you?" you asked, trying to fight the disgust on your face.

"when you sound like a bitch, yea," he said, looking down at the menu again.

"so, sapnap," you emphasize his streamer name. "what is it with you only having male friends?"

"what is it with you not knowing how to heal people, sage?"

"you really dont have manners, huh?" you said, shaking your head at him. "usually, you say someones name when referring to them."

"not when they can't play valorant."

"dont post that," you said fearfully once you see the flash go off. sapnap looked at you with a mischievous glint. you were mid bite when he decided to take a picture.

"or what, sage?" he challenged, narrowing his eyes at you.

people then started noticing how you two were interacting more but also weren't as hostile as before. instead of rolling your eyes or grimacing when something is said about sapnap, you listen intently. you had become good friends with dream and george. you found that hearing stories of the three of them made you warm up to sapnap.

he didn't seem as rude as he was when you first met. and that original attraction was finding its way back to you. it was almost embarrassing to admit that his face wasn't too hard to look at anymore. you found yourself even admiring him at times. and it scared you.

he started seeing you in a similar way. he always thought you were pretty. he never denied that. but now it was easier to admit. he had warmed up to you. he wasn't sure you'd agree, but he might even go as far as to consider you a friend. a mutual one at the very least. and that could be seen in the ways he defended you.

"you know yn, right?" a man said to sapnap through his headset. he was invited to do a podcast. and now, the topic of conversation has switched to you.

"yea, what about her?" he asked, confused as to where the conversation may go.

"i mean, you've seen it first hand. shes kinda annoying," the host said. sap furrowed his eyebrows as he continued. "she acts like such a bitch. jesus christ, i saw a guy donate her like a hundred bucks and just shut him down."

"shes a bitch cause she didnt wanna date some guy in her chat?" he asked slowly.

"he wasnt just some guy, he dm'd her like six times and she just kept saying no. didnt even give him a chance, man," the host said, shaking his head in disappointment. "sucks man. she was kinda bad too."

even though that episode never aired, sapnap still told his best friends about it. and they obviously had something to say.

"nick, i thought you hated her," dream said, confused.

"im not gonna let someone say that shit about her," he said nonchalantly.

"why, cause only you can?" dream joked. sapnap rolled his eyes. "i also just dont get why you're such a dick around her. you obviously like her, so why-"

"i dont like her," sapnap cut him off. he shook his head as dream deadpanned.

"okay, well, like her or not," dream sighed. "shes cool. hang out with her. then maybe you'd actually make some progress with her."

and then you did hang out. in minecraft obviously. but you made a series out of it. you two named it "minecraft for dummies". it was just a series where you two tried to work together in a minecraft world.

it was built on you challanges your viewers would request every week. the clips that came out of it ranged from you two being wholesome to your mics crackling rom yelling at eachother.

"can you make my bed orange?" he asked you as he got more wood to finish the third level of your shared house.

"yea, i got'chu," you said with a giggle as you crafted the bed.

and as a result of this series, sapnap started calling you by your name on occasion. it was rare and the first time it happened, it through you through a loop. then it kept happening. and it shocked everyone else as much as it did you.

"yn, stop putting this-"

"what did you just call me?"

him calling you by your name, even if its every once in a while, and found yourself smiling at the way it rolls off his tongue. it was just comfortable. both of you denying there were any feelings between you two was alright. it just was.

i gave up towards the end if you couldnt tell. but i really hope you enjoyed. -nony

hfjONE spoilers ahead !!! dont read if you havent really seen the show

heres a Link to the show if you are interested, its really good! and i reccommend watching it :3 and with that, allow me to ramble. Canonically, Airy views Liam as a friend. Being desensitized and isolated from communication with others for more than 13 years fucked up his perception of people, meaning he thinks of Liam's actions toward him as friendly, as that's basically all he's ever gotten since. Hostility. He views Liams hostility and yelling and aggressiveness and attempted murder on him as signs of friendship. He doesnt realize Liam doesnt like him whatsoever. He doesnt realize that that isnt what friends do. Friends don't try and kill you, friends dont attack you with only hatred just oozing out of every word they say, every action they take. But he doesnt realize that, and which results in him helping Liam even after his attempt at murdering the guy. Regardless of the way Liam treats him, he still helped Liam by giving him a cast for his broken leg, and giving him bedding.

Airy even gave this guy crutches as well, just like before when he broke his leg. Hes mentally unwell, hes apathetic and doesnt seem to care about most things from being isolated and desensitized to everything. Disassociating when Liam yells at him, derealizing CONSTANTLY. People in the fandom view him as a heartless monster whos deranged and only wants to spread pain and suffering, which is also LIAMS view on him. But thats not true.

(as Liam yells at him, he just stares blankly. No real reaction and movement during the time Liam's voice is raised. He finally responds once Liam says "end this, now." with a bunch of apparent hesitance.) Hes just a guy in a world where theres absolutely nobody but him, isolated from contact with other people, desensitized and forgetting who he even was before. He doesnt realize his actions are wrong, and he doesnt realize that when people are being hostile toward him, they do not like him. He does realizes people were scared, he said it himself. "Once they were on the planet, they all seemed pretty scared, so..." (as said in ONE 17: You move, I send.) He doesn't completely ignore peoples emotions, and tries to make it better for them. But he doesn't realize the way he's doing it is wrong. incorrect, a bad way to fix things. Besides, after creating ONE, the contestants were nothing BUT hostile toward him; so he doesn't know anything else. That's all h'es EVER known. Of course it is warranted, and he very much deserves the hostility. Kidnapping people and keeping them to compete in his gameshow against their wills, but he's more than that. What he did was wrong, insanely wrong, but he didn't know that. It doesn't excuse his actions, but it sure as hell explains them. Airy isn't an insane, deranged kidnapper. He's just a guy who's been isolated for too long, and doesn't understand the difference from right and wrong, and he doesn't understand basic human emotions other than his own. Lack of empathy, if you will.

It's just a sad case of isolation and a slowly deteriorating mental state in which results in the suffering of others due to someone (Airy, in this case) slowly becoming someone they dont even recognise themself.

After all, i bet this man doesn't even remember his own name. this was just a senseless ramble i am so incredbily unmotivated for art right now so take me and my insane rambles </3
