this post is pretty funny but it actually does hit on something pretty prevalent in the loz fandom that tends to irritate me, especially in regards to "power level" discussions

because Fierce Deity is, like... NOT some all-powerful warrior god who can defeat anything ever and makes the holder of its mask completely undefeatable

Fierce Deity is the culmination of all the feelings and fury of TERMINA against MAJORA.

its whole, entire purpose is pretty much solely to fight Majora.

proof being that you can ONLY wear it when fighting either Majora or the 4 bosses, who are proxies of Majora.

perhaps it could give a power boost against other foes, and yeah it unlocks sword beams (beams that, as you say, other heroes like Legend and Sky don't need a fancy mask to use), but it's only as intensely powerful as it was in MM's final battle entirely because you were fighting Majora. its super-effective against Majora, so to speak.

people like to say that, since Majora can basically use the moon as a bomb, Fierce Deity can also reach that level of insane power

I think they forget that you can actually defeat Majora without the Deity mask. it just takes a bit more effort because you don't have the fury of the entirety of Termina behind you lmao

(also, gameplay wise the Deity has the same damage as the Great Fairy Sword and Biggoron Sword, and, hilariously, does half as much damage as the Golden Sword from ALTTP

though the beams it shoots are nothing to sneeze at-- doing both significant damage (enough to bump it up to rival the Golden Sword) and stunning foes)

Why are we even making fierce deity special when legend exists

And the fates as friends (or acquaintances but then again the windfish likes him canonically for waking him… the fates kinds are actually helpful)

Like honestly legend probably is more of a god for having the golden Doritos every new adventure for breakfast (he probably carries them after cadence of Hyrule or maybe the fates go out their way to revive him anytime he dies … but it’s probably the Doritos

He wishes on the triforce enough to have it on straight up speed dial

Like… probably literally having it on his hand because everyone gave up on building temples for it when they can just give it to the guy who holds it as often as one holds their tooth brush

If we include the royal blood thing as in the mortal with the blood of the goddess

While time is freaking out that legend could be off legendary status,… honestly I think that was obvious

I feel so bad for hyrule because how the hell can you possibly even TRY to live up to the legacy of a god like being beyond death and capable of ending world destructive threats and has more godly friends then he has mortal ones

The chain has a few deities on their group yet sky is not the god in this scenario

Since you said it's ok to send you random ask, i've always found your "monsters" design to be really really gorgeous, and I wanted to know : in any form of media you've interacted with, what's PEAK monster design for you ?

i have been thinking about this ask alot bc ... i dont ... know? theres a problem with what counts as a monster really too, most are either some sort of anthro/furry or the horror gore type of monster that instills you more with disgust than awe

i guess theres some i really like but idk if thats what id call 'peak' (though its rarely JUST the design but their vibe and stuff too);

Eldra, Farodra and Naydra (engl Dinraal, Farosh(?)) though Eldra is def my fav one of them, i like how they are a little more less typical dragon- with the fur around the neck the floppy ears and kinda goofy face yet manage to be the most ethereal, awe inspiring creature i have ever seen in a game with how they act and are presented as (in BOTW!!! do not mention anythign sonau/zonai with stupid magic pebbles to me about them i will manifest worms into your tea)

Leunen (Lynels) (botw) -i could not find a better picture wtf, fav are white and silver ones) FINE they had some pretty neat new horn designs in totk- idk i just like them alot, rather simple if you think about it, horse lion plus horns- but its so well put together it just kinda scratches my brain in a good way (also how intelligent they clearly are, like the way they fight and act and also even their death animation is so??? huh?? you are just gonna treat them like any other mindless monste- *remmbers they treat ganondorf even even worse all things considered* .. nevermind you're good)

'Beast' Ganondorf (twilight princess) its my favorite beast ganon design (even if it technically is just kinda a man boar .. again) though if ww gan had a non puppet beast form that one would most definitely be my fav lol (i will not get over the fact that some descriptions call this a hideous beast EXCUSE ME???? WHERE???) (honorable mention here, darkbest ganon from botw, pig on fire but it looks cool as fuck)

Nimbusgarde (ww) .. (engl .. darknuts?) do i need to say anything? (i could throw alot of ww design here) not sure if it counts as monster but they are not human so ????

the pathless bosses- (here in order, Cernos, the Godslayer, and Kumo) all of them are rad as hell (except for the final version of the godslayer ... liek im sorry but it looks to boring compared to any other one lol) again not just the design but man do i love them

since i dont know what would count as a monster or no i could just list my fav characters here bfmjbfmjsbmj like radahn (elden ring) is just kinda a zombie, aurelion sol (league of legends) is a space dragon, the forest god in princess mononoke, Narisha (skyward sword- sky whale)- i could go on but this post is long already (honorable mention to Omus in nausicäa, weird bugs but also something divine, though it is much more how they are treated and the vibe etc)

in all honesty though i cant think of one that i would describe as perfect, what i want of a monster design is to be ... cool but also a little weird, big hulking monsters that have something off about them and something that makes them 'other', but also not, as much as i like bloodborne, just bloody gory messes of rotting flesh, AND not just as a monster to kill, i just crave a game or otherwiese piece of media where the cool monsters arent just there for you to kill- the perfect one i guess would be something kinda big scary weird and off but while non verbal clearly not a mindless beast?

and here is the thing; my own characters do not furfill that, my designs are really rather conservative, much to my dismay, anthro of a mix of animals, maybe an extra arm thrown in- Eadrya, one of my favorites, is really just a blueish furry (yes they have fur) and their demon form is a mix of seals and catfish with some extra arms, too many teeth and a mouth that goas wayy to far (if they want) - Shargon is a feather dude with extra arms and his demon form is really just a chinese type dragon crossed with a bird, throw some darts at the color wheel, done

together with my problem of my monster characters losing their 'otherness' vibe within the story rather fast bc the majority of my characters are non human and speak and you see them in all sorts of emotions and parts of life- they lose that divine, unknown vibe and i HATE that that happens, i want them more akin to the forest god in mononoke but thats not possible unless i start from scratch

and i really dont mean to make myself look bad to sound self depre- ... however you spell that; i really am rather dissatisfied with my own designs but mostly just roll with what i got bc i never seem to be able to actually achieve what i want

even my redesigns often really make things LESS interesting (unless maybe the og was just ... human, but they are blue eyed with golden hair and white so that makes them divine you seE-), the skyward sword dragons as i redesigned them made them much more classical dragon, in part intentional bc i was drawing a connection of them becoming the botw dragons at some point, but by all means the canon design is much more weird and unusual than what i did with them, you could apply the same to even demise, his canon design might seem a little uninspired but really what did i do? inject him with some classic satan spice like that makes it in any way less stereotypical evil demon ??? lol

im sorry this post devolved into whatever this is but i really am trying to answer sincerely, i am confused about it myself, what counts as a monster, what doesnt, there must be more that i really loved but why cant i think of them, why do i design characters like this when i really want something much more different, i dont know, i feel like my brain is in a cage, why do i keep making things less interesting in an effort to make it interesting, am i falling into the corporate trap of cool sells who am i what am i doing

I hope you're doing well! so, it's two days later but i come bearing offerings aka the fic concepts i mentioned. firstly, the lovey dovey jilix is basically jisung pining and writing songs about felix, while felix is asking for help with his own songs, the whole thing boils down to songwriting as a love language and sort of born from the fact that felix mentioned that jisungs songs are usually his favorites which i think about a lot bc me too lix me too, its all vibes and a lot of pining and jisung being oblivious. now the divorce minchan fic in simplest terms its inspired by a musical called the last five years which is about a couples failing relationship over the course of you guessed it five years, it's pov alternating and nonlinear which is fun to play with, its got its soft moments but uh it gets angsty. when will i write a chan pairing without some angst? idk we'll see (i suppose superchan is the exception (so far) lol)

16: If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

okay so how i would re-do CANON is completely different from how i would talk abt a reboot so im gonna touch on a couple things in both contexts! the reason for the difference is canon rewrites imply i can go back in time and introduce dp fresh and new, before anyone knows what it is; but for a reboot, id be working with an audience that has a better understanding of the source material, so i dont need to spend as much time explaining, but i also need to keep everything recognizable

REWRITE: i would def make it more danny's fault that her dad lost his job, like danny was intentionally being reckless and shattered some security stuff, and he has a whole mini lesson about learning to not just run in guns blazing. i would probably remove the dating stuff with her and danny (and tuckers crush) too, I think them wanting to be good friends is good enough for freshman year

REBOOT: the fandom already knows valerie exists, so i would actually skip the whole shades-of-gray introductory episode and have her be present as the huntress from day 1-- probably even before danny got his powers. cujo is also HER dog, and her backstory-- we'd find out in like, season 1, that a natural ghost portal (maybe one wulf opened) ripped open on her dog and killed him, and since then shes had a vendetta against ghosts cause of how reckless they are and their disregard for life-- of course, cujo isnt actually dead. cujo is a halfa. a puby halfa. anyway instead of a hoverboard she actually rides cujo around cause he can fly and its big and epic. valerie has BEEN amity parks ghost-eradicating superhero for at least a year (tho shes been in the shadows abt it) and her hatred towards danny actually just becomes really petty, like them flying next to each other chasing skulker just going "I got this. no I got this. no I got this" and they just get in each others' way and its a mutual grudge.

BOTH: i am NOT keeping in vlad giving her the suit to watch danny under any circumstances. it was only utilized half assedly in canon (when vlad couldve just had an invisible duplicate watching him instead) anyway, and I dont have any reason to keep it in a reboot either. instead i want her tech to be a combination of half-stolen and half-gerryrigged stuff and she slowly slowly learns how to build her own.

I also dont want anyone knowing her secret identity, except maybe her dad, and sam or tucker. i think it works better if danny isnt privy to this magic info

REWRITE: i would honestly just remove him. the episodes hes in arent particularly interesting, theyre just generic "we need a plot about x" filler and he's not compelling enough a character (at least in writing) to carry a better plot that another antagonist couldnt. i'm serious

REBOOT: unfortunately in a reboot he's gonna have to pop up somewhere or else ppl will be like "where IS HE" so I'm going to stick with running some kind of ghost circus, maybe a few occult things, but cut out a lot of the spooky magical knowledge and mcguffin stuff. maybe i could make him like, someone from vlad/jack/maddies college who always felt pushed around by them and so he has a vendetta? and theyd be the only reason he even learned abt ghosts in the first place. idk in either way I want to force him into being irredeemable but also include LYDIA (the tattoo girl ghost) way more-- I want to give her an arc that ends in her tossing freakshow aside and running off to be a ghost vigilante.

BOTH: dear god the infinity gauntlet is stupid that needs to GO AWAY. especially for the reboot cause it would exist in a post-mcu world and way too many people would complain about it

REWRITE: amp him up to a far more sinister and villainous character. the crushing on maddie isnt enough, I want to show him on-screen performing experiments on ghosts and himself, dismissing everyone else cause he thinks hes smarter than them. i want him to be actively sabotaging the fentons at every turn. i would also clarify that he doesnt actually want danny as a son, but as a trophy-- a line where danny says something along the lines of "you don't want a son. you want a slave". i want to make him a character who wants to destroy the entire planet and put it in the ghost zone so he can be the true ghost king and i want to make this all evident from day one. if i'm writing a series villain you can bet i'm going to write a GOOD one. less petty drama here and more actual stakes.

REBOOT: it seems silly but sense with reboot we have the benefit of hindsight and recognizing that vlad wasn't a big series villain, theres no way i'd actually go back and write him to be such. for starters, of course, theres the fact that anything he does would really be an exaggerated part of the original, and it would bore an audience to see the same story again-- theres also the fact that it doesnt seem right to take a character who was treated as a joke half the time and suddenly make them big and important. no, instead for my reboot i want to lean into the petty gay uncle vibe. he had a crush on jack and now just casually insults him. he moves mansions every now and again by just haunting the family who lives in the one he wants, and taking over-- i mean, who is gonna believe that an actual ghost haunted you. he dislikes danny not because he has some concept of 'evil' and 'good' but bc danny is just too damn active. of course he actually does care about danny and his safety deep down, it's just on the surface they have very conflicting motivations-- not to mention that danny has been raised on legends from his parents of the villainous Wisconsin Ghost, who has to be stopped at all costs.

Chapter 2: Dark Side

When you woke up this morning, you had the sweet scent of Vanilla and honey hit your nose. It was warm and inviting and made you feel safe. You were glad, normally you’d never feel safe in the wild. The pack helped a lot with that issue. But when you woke up today, you noticed that you had woken up to a quiet house. Which was… strange to say the least. There was always some sort of ruckus going on downstairs in the early hours. So you figured you’d go investigate cautiously, in case something had happened. You grabbed your thigh garter belt with your knives attached before you quietly made your way down the stairs. You saw and heard no one. Nothing was wrong or out of place. Everyone was just… gone. But why?

“Boy, you come prepared don’t you?” A male voice said from the stairs, causing you to jolt back in surprise, automatically drawing your knife from its holster on sheer instinct, ready to release it at any given moment.

You relaxed and placed it back to your thigh as you realized it was just Jihoon, one of the less spoken wolves of the pack.

He was only a few inches taller than you, but you were still incredibly intimidated by him. You weren’t sure why all the others were terrified to piss him off, even the alphas, but you were never worried he’d get mad at you. Which was weird, you were always skeptical of everyone, it was just in your nature as a rogue wolf.

However, with him, it wasn’t horror that overtook your veins, it was nervousness. Like you had some sort of school girl crush on him and you were worried you’d mess something up in front of him and die from the embarrassment of it. But why? Why would you care what some rando wolf would think of you when you’d probably be leaving in a bit when your wounds were healed better?

“Jesus Jihoon! You know I could’ve killed you right? Didn’t your parents ever tell you not to fuck with a bitch with knives?” You huffed out in annoyance while slapping you hands over your face, praying that he hadn’t seen your cherry red cheeks yet.

Of course he had though. He never took his eyes off of you whenever you were in a room. You were just too zoned off to notice

“Uh no… Not really. Never had them so they didn’t teach me shit. Not that any of that matters. We both know you’d never hurt anyone if you could help it.” He shrugged, nudging past you to make his way to the fridge for a bite to eat with a small smile pasted on his glorious lips. God he annoyed you.

“You don’t know that. I always come prepared, I could be a serial killer for all any of you know” you cooly threw his way as you let your guard down slightly, for some reason trusting him enough to have a semi civilized conversation alone.

“Yeah yeah you’re a little vicious killer. Whatever you say kid” He laughed out, trying to keep his amusement in check at your quick replies.

You gritted your teeth, “Hey I am not a kid! I’m centuries old! MUCH older than you.” You smugly responded to his bitch ass nickname for you.

Jihoon looked you up and down for a second, making you a bit self conscious and spreading a heat down to your lower belly, “You don’t look older than me. Matter of fact, you look like the youngest one here. So I’m gonna keep calling you kid, kid.” He leaned in close to you and whispered seductively in your ear.

“Where- where is everyone?” You stuttered out, trying your best not to focus on the minimal contact Jihoon had made with your shoulder while brushing past you moments ago. Curse your dumb instincts. Why did you have to find him attractive? Couldn’t your wolf side ever just stay in check?

“The market? No, to Taeyong’s? Maybe it was to the river? I dont know by the time they left it didn’t seem like they even knew where they were going so I stopped listening.” He answered while taking a bit of an apple he had snagged from the fruit basket on the counter.

“W-why didn’t you go with them?” You questioned him as you tried your best to avoid his piercing gaze.

“Didn’t feel like third wheeling a bunch of mated coupled wolves.” He shrugged once more while sitting himself on the kitchen table you were next to, “Plus, someone needed to stay here and keep an eye on the house.”

“I would’ve been here.” You chimed in, as if he would’ve ever seriously left you alone.

Whether you were a Werewolf or not, he was NOT gonna leave you without some sort of safety net if he could help it. If he had it his way, you wouldn’t even go down to the market with the other mates when supplies were needed. He knew you could handle yourself as a fellow wolf, and he knew you were the best to go because you weren’t marked yet, but he was worried for you.

You definitely had people looking at you because of your different appearance. You were drop dead gorgeous to anyone with eyes, and that greatly concerned him every-time you went out shopping. He may have been more of a lone wolf, but he wanted to protect you at all cost, even if you didn’t realize that’s what he was doing yet.

“Doesn’t count. You’re a FANCY werewolf, remember?” He emphasized the word fancy in a condescending way that irked your nerves all the way to your core.

“We don’t know what you can do yet. Besides, you act like I’d actually want to go watch them make goo goo eyes at each other all day long. Seeing them cuddle and dry hump the whole time we’re doing something isn’t my idea of fun. I’d rather be here and enjoy the peace and quiet while I can.” He said as he tossed the remains of his apple in the garbage can in one swift motion.

“I can do everything you guys can and more!” You defended yourself, getting a bit frustrated at the younger wolf for doubting your abilities.

“Then prove it. Do something… super wolfy” he chuckled out, half jokingly and half seriously in what a normal person would recognize as a flirty manner.

He hadn’t had too many girlfriends. His experience with girls was limited compared to his brothers. So sticking to his sarcastic edgy tone was the only way he knew how to engage with you.

He was curious as to what your powers entailed anyways. They all were, none of them had met a wolf like you before. All the wolves they knew were modern, and the only seriously powerful wolf they knew was from a Chinese pack that had fled to their area who could communicate with heaven, hell, and the nether realms. They had heard stories that had been passed down for some generations about what wolves were like long ago, but none of it was confirmed because nearly all had been killed or died off. So they wanted to see if you could actually do all the things from the legends they heard about your people. For all they knew, you could fly.

You hesitated for a moment, trying your best to think of something, anything that you could do that would shut him up and prove your point. But everything you thought of required you to be much stronger than you currently were. None of the visible powers you had were working right now due to the small amount of silver still running through your system. Even if you were working at full strength and weren’t hurt, you had never been able to use your powers to their full extent do to something having been wrong with you since birth.

“… I- I cant.” You sighed in defeat while bringing your head down to look at your hands.

“Why not?” He wondered aloud, not even really meaning to tease you, he just let the innocent question slip from his lips without thinking.

“Because I got hurt and I have no way to get better! My entire pack is dead! Everyone I love is dead! I don’t have a mate! I need some sort of connection to the people around me to heal faster and I don’t have one anymore! I need one or the other to have my powers come back this quickly after such a traumatic incident and I have neither! I’m fucked up and I’ve been fucked up for a long time okay!” You snapped, your eyes now bleeding and turning emerald green from anger as you yelled at him.

Once you saw his confused and remorseful expression, you quickly closed your eyes and turned around to try and calm down. You didn’t mean to go after him like that, but you were already very worried about your own health not coming back and the taunting tone in his voice just made you break. You could feel the hurt in his heart. It made you want to cry, you didn’t mean to yell at him. You were just a very touchy person who had been asked about a very touchy subject.

“I- I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get upset. I just- I’m concerned for myself and this conversation… well it made the concerns I already had skyrocket. But that’s not your fault. You would’ve had no way of knowing that. I apologize for getting mad at you over something so childish.” You earnestly said, trying your best to look him in the eyes without blushing from embarrassment.

He quickly moved his head down to look at his lap. He understood your pain. He could feel it everyday. You were his mate, he already did have a connection to you. He knew when you were sad or hurt or worried. He knew that you weren’t just in physical pain, but emotional pain as well. He wished he could take it all away from you so you never felt a negative feeling again. But he just couldn’t. Though, he was upset at himself for making it worse for you. Why did he always have to try and stir the pot? Couldn’t he just leave well enough alone? Couldn’t he just be cool around you and know when to stop?

“It’s okay. I… I understand what it’s like. To not have anyone I mean. I didn��t realize that you actually had to have those things in order to heal better though. With wolves now, we don’t necessarily have to have those things. I mean having them helps, but we get better eventually anyways as long as we get the wound cleaned properly. I didn’t know it was different for you...” He bit his lip as he continued, “But you know, our pack can be your pack, if you want anyway. There’s an opening for another ticking time bomb now that Chan’s found a mate. You’d be perfect for the job” he joked, though you could tell he was serious at the offer for you to join the pack.

“Yeah… how much does it pay an hour?” You played along, trying to lighten the mood from the tension you had made appear due to your little anger outburst.

You hurriedly propped yourself up on the table next to Jihoon, who gave you a small smile in return. It gave you goosebumps all over your skin. So you were thankful you had grabbed a large sweater the pack had given you before you went downstairs this morning.

You were given a bunch of them. They made you feel safe, and you loved the way they smelt. So when the other mates apologized and said they didn’t have many ‘girly clothing items’ to give you as getting clothing was sparse at the moment, you didn’t complain. You were perfectly content with your bigger clothing.

When you sat up on the table, you smelt the same scent of vanilla and honeysuckle that you nostrils had been absorbing from the clothing given to you…

“Not a lot.” Jihoon confessed, “we only offer housing, protection, and being around people who would do anything for you. But honestly, you could do a lot worse in terms of a career.” He bit his lip once more, the action drawing a small pur from your chest, which you tried to cover with a small cough. Of course he still caught the sound though. You weren’t even sure why looking at him made you that happy. The sound made Jihoon swoon, he loved that he already had such an impact on you.

“Of course there’s also some downside like with all jobs… like having to constantly break up fights, having a complete jackass for a mate, and well… you know… sharing bathrooms…” he trailed on, rubbing his neck while he attempted to make it seem like the middle part was casual.

“Wait! A complete WHAT for a WHO and WHERE was I???” You all but yell out in shock, making Jihoon wince.

He couldn’t tell if you were upset that he’d just burst it out like that. He honestly couldn’t even tell if you knew you were his mate or not. He didn’t know if you WANTED a mate or not. From what he knew of you, you usually stayed away from people unless you had to be around them. You told the others that staying alone is how you’d survived all these centuries. But Would you make an exception to your rules for survival to stay with him?

“Uh… yeah. A mate. That would- that would be me. I’m your mate…” He whispered, attempting as best as he could to regain control of his heartbeat that was now almost pounding out of his chest.

That’s when it all clicked in your head. Why they let you eat first with the mates, with the OTHER mates. You were one of them. It’s why they found you when you needed help, he must’ve felt you were in danger. It’s why you didn’t die that day even though your wounds would’ve been normally fatal even to you, because he was near you and never left your side. It’s why you weren’t scared of him like everyone else, you knew he’d never hurt you because he loved you. It’s why the pack always giggled anytime you and Jihoon would get near each other. It’s why the smell on your sweaters and his smell were so familiar, he gave them to you because you were his. You two were mates. It all made sense.

“We’re- we’re mates?” You reaffirmed out loud, but you started to feel dizzy. You weren’t sure what was happening.

Everything was going too fast, it felt like you were moving in slow motion but the entire world was spinning as fast as it could around you. The edges of your vision started becoming fuzzy and dark. You started to feel like you were going to pass out, but before you could fall flat on your face to the floor, Jihoon caught your fragile body in his arms.

“Yes. We are. I’m so sorry I didn’t tell you earlier, but I wanted to give you some time to adjust to being around normal people before I told you.” He assured you as he started moving towards the stairs, bringing you to his room and setting you down on his bed. He was incredibly worried for you, he could hear your heart rate slowing by the second.

“You might need to lay down. You don’t look well” he spoke softly as he held the back of one of his larger hands to your clammy forehead.

“Yeah… okay… rest… that makes sense… I’m sorry I- I just wasn’t expecting-” You tried to say as you start to give into the panicking darkness, not wanting to fight the urge to black out anymore.

“It’s okay. It’s a lot to take in. Just try and sleep okay?” He shushed you as he moved his blankets over your petite form, hesitant to touch you as he didn’t want to make matters worse. But his inner wolf was screaming at him to hold you and rock you to help you.

Everything you had heard about Jihoon told you he wasn’t someone who could have a relationship. All the others always talked about him wanting no one around him ever. They called him a grumpy old rogue wolf who miraculously got stuck in their pack. They said that He did things his own way. He did things alone. So did you.

“Jihoon, how the hell are we supposed to be together when we’re both lone wolves?” You whimpered out to him before everything went dark.

Another Author’s Note: alright so you guys know the drill. I wrote this close to midnight and I’m too tired to care about revising rn. So i shall look at it and fix any mistakes tomorrow when I get the time. Tomorrow I don’t think I’ll be praying more than once. Sorry, I’m working a doubt shift. But Wednesday I’m hoping to post three times! Here’s to hoping!

also, i think what counts as a sex scene is different for most people. like some people count a sex scene as the fully-clothed-falling-into-bed scene (the ol' avalance favourite lmao) to any degree of nakedness, to a full on hands-and-moans-and-orgasm scene. i think clarifying this is also important, not only bcos theres like... rules to what u can show on tv but different vibes for different shows right

also, i think what people are comfortable with is a deeply personal feeling. some people want them to go all the way, some people are uncomfortable with any kind of portrayl of sex on film. this is also dependent on age. i think this is important to bear in mind when discussing this, like - sometimes there is no objective measure on wether sex in film is good or bad, sometimes its just a personal feeling lmao

so, lets take it from the top:

1. talking about sex - completly fine. they do it on legends all the time. implying that they're going to have sex later, talking about kinky stuff.. its part and parcel for legends lol

2. make out scene - god we need better avalance kisses lmao. better lit, primarily. however they do kiss quite a lot, so generally, no compliants here.

3. clothes-falling-into-bed-scenes - again, theyve done this a lot, as have most other legends couples. more the insinuation of sex than anything actually raunchy.

4. degree of nakedness - we've had this .. kind of?? sara in lingere for ava's birthday. the raunchiest scene we've had so far is the zari threesome scene, in which zari was still pretty much fully clothed. aside from shirtless men (which legends loves to do in Any situation lol) we've barely had any shirtless scenes, so its not super weird that we havent had avalance like this

5. full on sex scene - okay so i dont think this wld work on legends for a number of reasons. 1. would be weird for the pacing of a legends ep. most legends eps arent suited to a low and slow style sex scene, hence why they probably havent had one for any couple on legends (not just avalance). 2. can they show that?? i think legends is rated 15, a full on sex scene might bump it up to an 18 pretty unesecarily, its not like the rest of the show justifies that rating. 3. no other couples on legends are having these kind of sex scenes, its not like we have a deluge of mlw sex scenes and none for wlw couples

these reasons dont mean that all sex scenes are bad, or that sex scenes are unecessary. this is just in this context.

my opinion: i think i'd like maybe like a clearer indication of sex? maybe like... some bare shoulders? a bare back? i think a full on sex scene wouldnt really work for the reasons i've stated above, but a bit more wld be nice

AVALANCE AU

AU: Sara is lead singer in a band called The Legends. Her band mates are; Charlie: Bass Player, Nate: Lead Guitarist, Zari: Drummer, Ray: Pianist. They call their fans beebos. Ava on the other hand is a famous actress with an entourage; Nora her best friend, and stylist, Gary: Manager, and Mona her publicist.

“Rise and shine!” Gary screams from the downstairs, the two are the only one that took care of themselves that night. Everything was going normal until the group caught a glimpse of Ray and Nora locking lips. That’s sort of when all hell broke loose, Sara offered shots and Charlie offered drinking games. 

“If he doesn't stop shouting. I will literally hung him by his leg out in the balcony.” Charlie groans placing a pillow on top of her face, Zari pulls her much closer trying to hide her face while also burying her neck in Charlies shoulder. 

“C’mon love birds.” Sara throws a pillow at the cuddling two. As well as Ray and Nora locking lips, Zari and Charlie made a mistake locking lips right in front of Gary as well as Sara but Sara already knew. 

After an 20 more minutes of Gary shouting and John singing they finally got everyone out of bed for some breakfast. 

Soon after breakfast the crew heads for their hike, it was a rather quiet first hour. Sara and Ava are up front leading the way, talking about god knows what while the others are behind them scheming. 

“Now that you two are settled, can we focus on those two.” Charlie points at the two blondes leading the way,

“Charlie, Ava needs time to heal” 

“And Sara--” Nate sighs knowing how much mending a broken heart is hard, but having had a pile of broken hearts after the other tends to wound an individual. 

“Need to heal as well,” Ray sighs

“Okay but you guys can’t tell me that last night they weren’t up on each other or vibing at all.” Mona coo’s looking ahead to see the two girls examining the trail 

“So what they’re friends, what if they are—“ Nate is cut off by the conversation the two girls are having up ahead. Ava is currently holding the map far from Sara’s reach, she’s using her butt as a shield.

“Just let me see it for one second.” Ava argues

“Why Miss-Know-It-All,” Sara teases bumping into Ava catching her in surprise letting her guard down. “You didn’t” Ava scoffs, but Sara took that opportunity to take the map and run away from Ava. 

“Are you kidding though.” Mona woo’s pointing at the two playing tag with one another

“Okay but they’ve been like that since the beginning of their friendship, they’re both extremely headstrong. Sara is extremely rebellious and from what I noticed Ava is a little controlling.” Nate explains following the two blonde girls still play fighting over the map 

“What’s wrong with him?” Gary mumbles, John shrugs taking out a cigarette as they follow, everyone starts to do the same but Nora puts her hand out to stop everyone else from walking. 

“Okay new plan, do we force them to be together, or do we let them heal properly and hope that they’ll get together?” Nora speaks up leaving Zari, Ray and Charlie stuck 

“Well clearly forcing them together isn't working out,” Ray starts 

“Exactly when we do that they seem to butt heads but—” Zari continues 

“When we leave them alone they come together naturally—”Charlie adds

“Which leaves us with the question again, do we keep forcing them together? Or do we let them heal—”

“Hey guys! C’mon the lake is up ahead!” Sara shouts summoning the last four to catch up to them. 

“Well Ava leaves in a month and you guys leave in 2. Which means everyone will be gone, and your tour is going to last what—?” Nora schemes as they slowly walk trying to create some space as they scheme 

“7 month at the most.” Ray informs 

“Which means we let fate decide?” Charlie questions

“That just may be our best bet.” Zari pulls Charlie to walk faster since everyone doesn't have a choice on what to do about the two. 

1 Hour Later...

“Who knew Mona Wu could cook?” Nora jokes as everyone is enjoying their lunch with some coffee, and tea. 

“Well if you guys actually came over for food every once in a while instead of going out to eat you’d actually see how I can cook.” Mona defenses rolling her eyes making everyone cackle. As they continue to eat Sara somehow sneaks away from the group, and of course Ava notices which means she follows. 

Nobody else notice the two girls sneak away. As Ava gets closer to Sara she whispers “Hey! Where are you going?” 

“Hey, stalker.” Sara chuckles continuing to her path, up a hill 

“I’m not a stalker, you just left and what if you get stuck or lost or something?” 

“Whatever floats your boat”

“So what are you doing exactly?” 

“Wanted a better view, better views give me better ideas, lyrics, melodies—”

“You’ve got writers block?” 

“Yup, and it’s killing me because it is literally the last song of the album and we’re suppose to record it when we get back into town Monday.” 

“Oh well then I’ll leave you alone—” There’s a pause, a part of Ava that wants Sara to ask her to stay but she can understand why the girl might want her alone time

“No wait, can I bounce things off of you?” Ava smiles before turning back around to Sara

Sara takes her phone out and pulls up the instrument of her empty music.  The two sit for 6 minutes just trying to get the feel of the music. 

“First of all, I love the sound—do you have a concept?”

“I don’t know nothing is really connecting to me and the whole album is coming together but this song would take it to a whole ‘nother level”

“Alright let’s start with this what haven't you wrote about?” 

“Seriously?”

My favorite Astoria character is Alex, which is probably the most obvious one to everyone. I wrote a long post about why i like them so much yesterday :) (but i want it noted i really really adore the other characters too, if Alex wasnt i nthe picture idk who i’d choose bc theyre all my faves.)

For Havenfall, it’s still Mackenzie. I love her not only because she was my very first lovestruck love interest, but also because she’s strong and kind and her heart is made of gold. She’s a giant nerd and a goofball and I really admire her character!! Her route was also really really interesting, the bond she had with MC was so cool! And god she has the patience of a saint, which, MAD respect for her when she has to deal with JD’s latest shenanigans lmao. And, god, you know... she’s a werewolf!!!!!!! How can i Not be absolutely in love with her? Her wolf ears were so cute i could Cry

In Gangsters it’s... it’s a three way tie, i Cannot choose. Rory, Ash, and Chance are just..... so perfect. I fell in love with all three so quickly and their routes have been amazing. The way Chance softens around MC and how he’s always trying to do his best by her just makes me melt. He’s got a protective streak but it’s not too intense to the point that it’s irritating. He worries a lot about being like his dad, but god that only proves how much he isn’t like him. And Rory- god, what don’t I love about her? I think my favorite thing, in her entire route, is that she goes sober. Her drinking is a Character Quirk(tm) in every other route and is even like that for her S1, but when MC comes into her life she stops because she wants to be a better version of herself and it shows, constantly. She’s got so much control and even in her weak moments, she’s not shamed or anything. She’s a hurt individual (i mean, they all are---) but she does her best to not let it define her and it shows. And Ash!!!! He’s so cute and the fact that Seymour instantly loves him made me warm up to him really quickly because, ya know, dogs are great judges of character and all that. He’s quiet and mysterious but he’s got some incredibly funny lines that always took me by surprise. He’s smart and calm and he’s really just such a sweetheart ;o;;

I haven’t played all of Love and Legends yet but I am so so so in love with Helena’s route so far. It’s made very very clear that she’s been hurting for so long and so deeply and it’s a beautiful thing to watch her heal from that hurt, to see her find someone that wants nothing more than to stand by her as she finds her footing again. Her magic is so cool (heh) and idk she’s just. So beautiful and smart and dangerous i’m always in awe when I look at her!!

In Sweet Enchantments, I have to go with Lucien. His character design is my very favorite in the whole app, I think. Teal is one of my favorite colors and he’s got some of the most beautiful CGs. He’s also a lot like Chance in terms of personality, meaning he’s pretty cold and mean at the start, but warms up to the MC. He becomes so soft and gentle and he grows so much as a person, he learns how to be true to himself and not just sell out to a bunch of rowdy fans. All his little gestures to show MC how much he loves her is also very sweet and i just.... he’s so good. He got what was basically two proposals in his route, too, which i was SO in love with. The first is without a ring and when he’s still working off his sentence, but he tells MC that he knows he wants to spend his life with her, if she’ll just wait a little while longer. And then later he Really gets to propose and it made my heart soar, it was so beautiful, it was perfect ;O;;;;

In Sin With Me, Cal is my big big big favorite. Cal comes off as kinda mean, but it’s a facade you get to see through almost immediately in his route. He’s mean because he leads a dangerous life and wants to keep people away, because he cant trust them. But then he’ll buy you the item you guys were fighting over, and he’ll catch you when you’re about to fall in a cafe, and he’ll make sure you get home safely. His relationship with the other troupe members is also very sweet- he’s best friends with Onyx and it’s always one of my favorite interactions in any route. And the way he’s so sweet and kind to Avi? To Malakai’s mom and MC’s mom? He’s got such a good heart underneath his snark!!! He cares so much!!!

For Reigning Passions, it is without a doubt Xenia. My reasons for her are less complicated: she’s a SPIDER LADY with FOUR ARMS and PRETTY SILVER EYES W BLACK SCLERA, how   could i NOT be head over heels for her omg???? She’s who i’ve been waiting all my life for. But also, she’s so mysterious her whole thing is so cool. Mistress of spies? That’s the coolest title ever and I Am In Love With Her.

In Wicked Lawless Love im gonna have to go with Cecelia at the moment, although I still havent finished her OR Nathan’s S1s yet. She’s a vampire so??? Of course Im gonna pick her. Her thing with music is really fascinating and when she played the piano at the saloon to the tune of MC’s heartbeat? I nearly fainted lemme tell you, that is Exactly the kind of vampire shenanigans i need in my life.

Villainous Nights is hard because i legit love all of them so much I genuinely dont know if I can pick here. Their routes are all so interesting and unique, especially the MC and how her powers develop in each of them.Can I just pick Andi, Juliette, and Lorelei? Because I wanan pick all three of them. AND ALSO SHOUTOUT TO DUKE AND ZEKE AND RENZEI but especially Zeke and Duke. (Zeke’s special story had me sobbing btw i love him.) Andi is SO FUN and energetic and perky but she’s also like lowkey Wild and Dangerous and i loved that so much about her. Juliette is a giant giant giant nerd and a walking meme and her Bat suit is so freakin cool, I love everything abt her and her powers and EVEYRHTING. And Lorelei... she was the first VN character i played through and god she was amazing. She’s blunt and definitely a silent type, but she has such strong emotions and she’s got so much love. She was hurt so badly and it makes my heart ache but I can only love her more for it and how she works through that pain to be stronger than it. She’s so so strong i have. so much respect for lorelei.

I think thats it for the stories i’ve played all of or parts of!!! Honorable mentions go out to Serena and Vivienne and Zoe and Sofia andd Ellis and Antares! I havent played any of those stories yet but I did play the first free episodes and liked them most!

That Makes Us Two: Chapter 7: Closer

"So, this is our last destination, right?" "Affirmative." "After this...I'll be free!", Amy said enthusiastically. "At least you are not the one with a height problem," Shadow said looking at himself, Amy's body was significantly smaller than him. "At least you are not the one with a fashion problem!" "Of course you don't because everything you wear is 'Loser-pink!" "At least I wear clothes! Not like other hedgehogs that only wear shoes, gloves and call it a day!" "Oh, like Sonic?", He remarked. Amy gave it a thought, he wasn't wrong. "AT LEAST HE IS WEARS A SCARF!" And of course, as they landed to their new destination, they did nothing to continue their lovers' quarrel. Love is strange ain't it? "Now that we are here...where should we go?", Amy said as she landed the airplane safely. "You know how I told you there are some dangerous and friendly villages?", Shadow jumped off the plane and settle firmly on the ground. "Yeah one of them almost killed us, the other tortured us emotionally and the other one was..." Amy thought of Elena for a second and didn't hesitate. "...Friendly." "Well this is one is 'friendly'...kind of" "Now what is it? Is it a Village of Monsters? Supervillains?...Both?" "Let's walk some more and you will find out." . . . The Purple Village, like how Shadow likes to call it, was just like any other Village. Very similar to Hedgehog Village, Amy was very found of this as she has missed home deeply now. However, this Village had something very peculiar...everyone's fur was purple. Foxes, rabbits, beavers, just everyone...had purple fur. As they walked past the villagers, Amy followed Shadow closely as if he knew where to go. As they walked through the streets, more and more people began to follow them. Strange. "Umm...Shadow-", Amy whispered as she began to worry. "I know...It's alright I know where I am going.", Shadow said, not looking back. "Is that...Shadow the Hedgehog?" "I can't believe the stories are true!" "The hedgehog with a fur as black as the night and eyes as red as blood." Amy began to hear all type of things coming from the crowd. She was getting more and more anxious with each step and Shadow noticed this. Then, Amy felt something soft grab her hand...it was Shadow. Amy blushed and tried to hide it. She never thought that Shadow would be the type to care about such things. It made her heart feel warm. Shadow and Amy walked past some more buildings until they had finally reached a small hut. The cabin's vibes was a very mysterious one. It was clear that something was going on in there....something strange. The villagers even kept their distance. Shadow looked at Amy who just looked back at him in uneasiness. He grabbed her hand firmly and Amy felt her calmer now. The one thing she could do was to trust Shadow. They entered the hut which was completely dark but in the middle, there was a candle, illuminating the hut just a bit. Shadow and Amy took a sit in one side, keeping their distance from the candle. Then the fire of the candle was out and in a heartbeat, it was on again. This time, a purple hedgehog was sitting in front of it. "Shadow the Hedgehog, I thought you said you will never forgive us.", The purple hedgehog never opened his eyes, he was sitting as if he was meditating. "Yes, and I will probably never will," Shadow commented. "Then, why have you come?" Amy saw Shadow calm as ever. Strangely, Amy assumed that this hedgehog guy knew everything; because Shadow spoke in Amy's voice and the purple hedgehog didn't even flinch about it. "You know why I am here." "The last remaining piece of the broken purple gem...it resides where courage is met and sacrifice needs to be done... where the two lovers rest at peace. Where love can be found." "...I understand, let's go, Amy." Shadow stood up and Amy followed. "Is the one next to you...your significant other?" Amy turned her head in amusement, and she could swear she saw the purple hedgehog's eyes open and saw a bit of red tint on them. She turned to face Shadow now, he sighed and responded: "That doesn't concern you, father." . . . "So, where are we going now?", Amy tried to sound as normal as possible. However, the intrigue was killing her alive. She just met Shadow's father and couldn't even greet him properly. She was quiet al the time. What was that about Shadow not forgiving them? Was it because- "We are going to the Volcanos of Popocatepetl and Iztacchihualt." "The what and what?", Amy questioned as they walked through the forest. "A very LONG time ago...there was a princess called Iztacchihualt and a brave warrior named Popocatepetl and they were both deeply in love. To marry Iztacchihualt, her father asked Popocatepetl to go battle and win a dangerous war. While away and during the war, the enemy sent a false message to the ruler and says that Popocatepetl died on the battle. When hearing this, Iztacchihualt fell ill and die of a broken heart. When Popocatepetl came back victorious and discovered that Iztacchihualt died, he took her to the forest to burn her and give her a proper funeral. He was so heartbroken that he stayed with her until she died. The Gods of Chaos were so touched by this that they turned them into volcanos so they can be together forever. The Popocatepetl Volcano sometimes spew ash, just to remind everyone that he is still watching over his lover-" Shadow stopped as he heard Amy sobbing. "Are you...crying?" "HOW CAN YOU NOT?!", Amy defended herself, wiping her tears away. "It's a just a stupid legend, it probably never happened." "Then how do you explain the volcanos?" Amy and Shadow finally got a full view of the two volcanos. Amy was mesmerized by their beauty while Shadow just let her have her moment. "Ok so the plan is this...", Shadow interrupted Amy's sightseeing and continued, " Since you have my super speed, you will be the one to check on both volcanos. It would be faster this way." Amy's amazement ended as soon as he explained the plan. "But I don't know the area...and I am a bit scare-" "Don't worry the broken piece will be on top of one of the Mountains. Just go to the top and check both." "Are you sure? I can always carry you!" "No, Amy, I'll just be in the way." "Alright, I'll do it!", Amy prepared to run but Shadow stopped her again. "And Amy...be careful." . . . Shadow promised to never go there ever again. He felt pathetic for not accompanying Amy. But that place terrified him. Even being this close to it, made his heart beat faster, his hand to sweat and his mind to repeat the same image all over again. Him finding the last Chaos Emerald, him not being able to control his power and Maria dying on his arms. Right on top of that volcano. However, Shadow wanted to move now, he really wanted to move. But he couldn't. He watched how Volcano Popocatepetl began to fume, gray massive smoke began to come out of it and he could only think of one thing. "Amy" . . . Alright, Shadow had lied to her. Amy made sure to double-check both Iztacchihualt and Popocatepetl Volcano and nothing! Just trees, ice on top of the mountain and ash on the volcano. Wait, what? This looked bad, the volcano could erupt at any moment. She looked around one more time before taking a run back to Shadow. Nothing, oh well. She was ready to run. But she didn't, well more like she couldn't. Her head began to be fuzzy, her eyes began to fail. "How is this happening? Shadow's body is supposed to be immune to the toxicity of the fume.", Amy thought as she grabbed her head in pain. She fell on her knees and then; everything went black. . . . “What is taking her so long?” Amy was taking longer than usual. By now she should be done retrieving the last piece. With her speed, it should only take her 30 minutes max is she was looked thoroughly. It has already been 35 minutes. Shadow began to panic. He mustered all the courage he had and began to run towards the volcano. Because, yes, he was utterly afraid. But he couldn’t live with himself if anything happened to her. Shadow had never felt too tired before. He was completely out of breath, sweating till the point that it made his eyes itch with the liquid of it l. His body shaking after the exhaustion. But he had finally reached the top of the volcano. It was terrifying, Shadow didn’t remember it being so...intimidating. He tried to open his eyes as much as he could to look for Amy. However, the strong gas emission was too much for his eyes. He wasn’t prepared for this. He felt as if his body would burn at any second. He walked through harden layers of lava, he saw Amy on the ground, the back of her body laying on the hard rock. He thanked Chaos for a moment that Amy was in his body because that was the only way she could stand the extreme fumes for such a long time. “Amy!” Shadow screamed he couldn’t go near her. He could be done in a second if he stepped on the wrong ground. He tried to walk slowly and steadily getting a bit closer to her by the second. Amy seemed to react to his voice. She moved her head to see Shadow in her body, walking towards her. “GO BACK SHADOW! I CAN’T MOVE MY BODY! I CAN’T USE CHAOS CONTROL! I JUST CAN'T CONCENTRATE! I DONT KNOW WHY!” Amy shook her head from side to side lamenting that Shadow had come all of this way for her. “GO AWAY!” She screamed one more time but Shadow had finally reached her. Covering his nose as to not take any toxic fumes. “You are coming with me”, Shadow tried to pick her up, but he couldn’t. Her body flinched a little but he was already way too exhausted. “Shadow...jump off the volcano.” “What are you saying?!” “If you die in my body then you will get your body back and you can use Chaos Control to get out of here!” “Yes but that’s not happening” Shadow tried again to pick her up again but failed miserably and made both of them fall. The volcano began to make strange sounds and the ground began to shake. “Shadow...you know you have to do it.” Amy pleaded. “No, I said you are coming with me!” “If you don’t do it, we are both going to die Shadow!” Amy’s voices cracked knowing too well that there was only one option now. Tears began to form in her eyes and Shadow stood quiet for a moment. "No", And he tried to pick her up again and failed. “WHY DON’T YOU EVER LISTEN TO ME! YOU SAY THAT YOU HATE ME! SO WHY CAN’T YOU JUST LEAVE ME TO DIE!” “BECAUSE I CAN’T, I WON’T LET YOU DIE!” Shadow screamed back at her. “IT'S ALWAYS ME THE ONE WHO HAS TO LOSE! WHY? WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ME?” “JUST LEAVE ME! I HATE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART! I CURSE THE DAY THAT WE MET, I HATE YOU SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG! Amy felt soft arms surround her body. A warm embrace that could have probably stopped time itself if it could. “Why?...Why can’t you just do what I ask you to do?...just once” Shadow separated for a bit, looking at Amy. They were both covered by ash, the ground was falling apart little by little, and there was no other way out. “I can’t do it...Because...I hate you too, Amy” There were no more words needed. The silence that followed spoke more than a thousand words. It a fact that none could deny. For a moment, the time had stopped. There was no danger, no eruption, nothing. Just two hearts that had finally realized the truth within them. Amy now knew that Shadow loves her. But most importantly, she finally realized... That she was completely in love with Shadow the Hedgehog. Their faces began to get closer, their eye-lids softly closing as nothing matter no more. They intertwined hands as Shadow closed the distance more and more and Amy was just for their lips to impact at any second now. Closer And closer Closer... . . . . . It was already night time, Amy and Shadow woke next to each other exalted. Trying to catch their breath they both looked around. One second before they were about to die and now they were safe on the forest. “What did just happen?” Amy looked at the Popocatepetl Volcano and it reminds intact. Dormant as ever like nothing ever happened. As if it was never going to erupt. Shadow felt something hard on his hand and realized that he had the last broken piece of the Purple Gem. “I have the piece!” Shadow stood up and looked at Amy and then at himself. No sign of ashes nor injuries, as if they had been sleeping the whole time. “Everything...was a dream?” “It resides where courage is met and sacrifice needs to be done... where the two lovers rest at peace. Where love can be found"

“It was a test, Shadow!” Amy said in excitement. “What?” “Yes, to see if you were worthy of the last piece!” “Yes, just like your father said! "You had the courage to look for me although you didn't have your powers. You were willing to sacrifice yourself to stay with me! And love was found when-“ They stood silent. And quickly turned around to hide their evident blush. “Haha actually I don’t know about that part, maybe it was just a mistake!” Amy tried to cover it up and hopes that Shadow did the same. “Of course, I mean 730,000-year-old Gods make mistakes all the time,” Shadow said. “The important thing is that we have the last piece now we can finally get our bodies back!” Amy twirled in excitement. “Finally, I won’t have to see you again” Shadow began to walk away. “You know what, I liked you more when we were about to die in the volcano,” Amy said sarcastically and showed Shadow her tongue as a gesture of mockery. “Let’s just sleep today and go back to Hedgehog Village tomorrow morning.” And they quietly walked next to each other back to the camp. It was silent, as the night was their only friend. They didn't want to admit but they didn't want to head back to Hedgehog Village just yet. They didn't want their adventure to end just yet. Or maybe, they just didn't want to stop each seeing each other. However, they both knew that they were entering a dangerous territory. One that if they dared to get a little bit closer, they wouldn't be able to go back. But right now, that didn't matter. Sonic, Shadow's future promises, none of that existed for tonight. Just them and their realization that they were definitely closer. . . . . . A.N: Three more chapters and done!
