sorry this is 2 questions in 1 on very different topics haha. but im not a game dev nor am i likely to get the skills in game dev- i am very in marketing & analytics though as well as a mix of other stuff. would you know if, size of studio asides, do aa/aaa studios or publishers have good sized non game dev teams? i really want to get involved in the creatives industry (wether it be games or something like shows) outside of direct creation but i dont know what the market for that is like, especially as someone in the global south. the 2nd unrelated thing is DATV has a weird (?) save limit on console. pc has 100 saves unli characters, but console is currently hard capped at 3 characters. would you have any ideas or insights as to why that might be the limit they chose?

For your first question about what kind of non-creation teams there are:

Game dev studios typically have internal support teams - back end, build, IT, user research, etc. that are primarily there to support game development and content creation efforts. Game publishers have a much broader set of teams including marketing, localization, QA/Cert teams, licensing, and so on. There's definitely jobs to be had in those groups, depending on your skill set and interest level.

For your second question:

It's probably because of the interface design. When you have a mouse, keyboard, and scroll wheel it's a lot easier to navigate through a lot of options than it is when you have a controller. They probably looked at the numbers from previous games and realized that most console players only play 1-2 characters at most, so they provided the necessary support that the vast majority of their console players would ever use.

Ok so pre relationship i think that aventurine is actually quick to catch feelings but slow to realize them

Like off the bat he can tell how he feels in about someone, like or dislike, trust or not trust 

What is slow to build is how deep that runs, both his romantic feelings and his trust are gained slowly but eventually snowball and that is when he finally either realizes or admits it.

Something i never got in general is when people talk about like how {character} wouldn't trust you until xxx into relationship etc

But the thing is like, are y'all dating people you dont trust? Because especially as someone who is depressed/traumatized, I fully would have to trust someone to get into a relationship, and that trust does not reset to 0 because we got together like??- i promise i will tie this in trust me 

The other slight problem with aventurine pre relationship is that after he realizes/admits his feelings to himself he is taking that to his grave. He will casually flirt or maybe drop little hints, but he is content to never speak these feelings out loud to you, 

Half of this is a fear of forming intimate connections that he knows he's ultimately powerless to protect, he fears rejection and loss when it truly matters and this prevents him from ever really bringing himself to pursue you. The other half is a subconscious self sabotaging hatred. Despite his fronting he is an insecure and traumatized man who's become jaded by the cosmos. While he at this point would trust you implicitly he cant help the feeling that you won't, dont, and couldn't possibly like him and return his feelings. 

Reasonably he knows that he is an attractive man, a man with both wealth,power, and status, and yet he feels that you won't possibly want him. His self loathing even in his subconscious holds him back, giving a false sense of apathy towards your relationship status that outweighs the jealousy he feels. In truth the jealousy only serves to prove his point on how you don't return his feelings

There are scenarios that I think he would confess first if you don't beat him to the punch. 

The first is said jokingly, and yet there is not that sharp witted teasing edge or bite to his words, unexpectedly raw and genuine when he poses a simple “what if” question 

The second involves many different factors, maybe you catch him on a good day, maybe he sees the way you seem to look at him and in your eyes is the reflection of his own affections. Maybe you catch him on a bad day, and in his pit of despair he decides that it is at least worth the risk to gamble.

These are the moments he confesses to you, bated breath waiting for the other shoe to drop and for you to lash out with laughter or anger but he is delighted when you return his feelings

Ok ok enough angst-

This man is a shameless flirt, he is romantic long before you every begin a relationship- you just take it as a joke, a bit that's silly between close friends 

After you manage to pry that confession out of him or you make the first move, he is shockingly quick to put a label on it, you are his romantic partner! His love, hes your lucky charm

Ok ok like i said before i really don't thing that aventurine is the type to be in an actual relationship with someone he A)doesn’t trust, or B) doesn’t love

So by the time you get in a relationship there is already a strong foundation of real trust, but he has already realized he is hopelessly in love.

This is a clingy man to his core, he is sending you 50 messages a day

Good morning, good night, have you eaten? I love you, miss you, literally anything because he truly dose miss you 

Have you eaten? Yes? Good have a little treat +500 credits 

No? Wait there he's taking you to lunch- or +5000 credits 

I know everyone says it but he really does spoil you. Now the way he sees it genuinely isn't as like a bribe but both something that genuinely makes him happy and also he likes to make your life easier 

Seeing you happy, being able to spoil you with gifts and treats and money brings him genuine joy, and knowing that he is able to provide some relief from the harsh reality of life makes his a very merry man

As I said, clingy- he loves your time, being able to spend time with you and relax in your presence is truly heaven. 

Most of his missions aren't dangerous, just business so he enjoys taking you with him so that he can spend more time with you

He is touch starved for positive physical contact and affection 

Sit in his lap, let him sit in yours- honestly he isn't very picky as long as he gets to touch you 

If you thought his playful bestie flirting was bad you are gonna die, because he gets so much worse, now that he knows exactly what to say so that he can fluster you he grows ever bolder in his pursuit

No matter what he says his actions always follow his words, he shows he loves you with the way he sees you and treats you, in the way he seems to crave you like a thirsty man craves water or how a plant craves the warm sun, to breathe you in like air and love you tenderly 

Even if he is clumsy at love and intimacy he still puts in a profound sense of effort.

i’ve always found it peculiar how during meeting the chargers cutscene the game just assumes your character automatically understands what krem is talking about when he mentions binding (though, granted, it’s all very unsubtle). like, this is a roleplaying game. what if i want to play a character who just doesn’t get it

i dont even know how to accurately answer this anymore because of reasons and things other than: there's an old list of endings a couple of the writers of a few characters gave said character here

beanpole, one-ler, and rocky's are all still accurate and relevant as far as i know, but swag's is severely outdated and not true anymore

well i know rocky's is stlil accurate because we were so set and ready for it. it was supposed to be the very next big plot point before the blogs died. big shame it never happened because it was going to be epic.

last i heard 72 and ted's endings were set to be changed from what i knew them as. audrey's and dave's i won't reveal for my own reasons. and i never planned an ending for entre and that continues to be true.

we had at least (other than rocky's) two more big plot arcs to cover. honestly i think the RV/Stripmall arc was sorta the beginning of a snowball to an ending of sorts, but it never truly got rolling.

when you light up your cigarette from another person's cig it's called the same thing as fucking them in finnish. and. i was drinking with a couple of friends last weekend and now that i think about it there is something funny about standing outside in the cold and having someone ask me to fuck them (= light their cig with mine) in front of their partner bc it's funny (said partner has also done the same to me). and we were all joking and being silly but both me and the partner are the kind of people that are fun to tease and make fun of bc 1. we dont mind 2. we find it funny usually 3. we unfortunately make it v easy, so. anyways i offer the end of my 2nd cig to the person whose cig i lighted earlier bc i wasnt feeling it and they had just declined a full cigarette from their partner bc that was too much at that moment so the partner was jokingly like "whyd you take leevi's cig but not mine" the the convo took a weird turn and ended up in two people who are standing on both sides of me patting my head and leaning on me while calling me a good boy. obviously it doesnt sound as hot in finnish but if i didn't already have a praise kink that would have awakened something in me

marina, in this trailer, doesnt seem to be speaking through the same mic with pearl like octo expansion. so if were looking at it in a positive-nothing-bad-happened-to-marina light, marina has her own robot that isnt shown in the trailer. but my main guess is that something happened to marina like being sucked in like dedf1sh and lost within wherever they are

Im so tired of ppl demanding characters be interpreted as butch then get mad if the people who do "make them a man." (In quotes bc no ones even rlly done that. they just mde em masc at most)

And to be clear what I've heard called "making them a man," Ive see things like:

Giving them he/him pronouns (me and many butches use those)

Them prefering to top with a strap (Many. Many stones have spoken on this I don't even think my two cents is needed)

Doing sports (Women dont do sports now? femaninity and sports can't go together?? do u want a butch or do u want to remake gender roles u cant have both.)

Eating "too much" (Get help. Just. Get help.)

Shaved head. Even when the character canonically hates long hair.

Don't seek out butch content, or masc lesbian content and ve shocked if theres masculinity over there! And also stop labeling random shit as masc!!!!! Its weird!!! Let a butch be feminine and like sport or be femanine and enjoy he/him what the fuck??

(I used mainly butch as I honestly rarely see ppl put the effort into hc anyone as a stud, which is its own conversation of racism, id wanna make seperate. But many of these apply to studs and I wouldn't be shocked if they got the same treatement if they were thought of as often.)

the creativity, probably. theres so many artistic projects going on they are all very lovely. it feels very focused on the art, which makes it easier for me to draw a little something almost daily. very hyper and useful for me personally ...

19. favourite hermit design? (whether yours or someone else’s)

i love all my designs ... thats why i draw them. that being said i am most happy with my barn owl grian and dungeon master tango. probably favourites of mine. Generally i like more animalistic features... so very avian grians (but not parrot wings), monsterous cleos, half moon pearls... fully furry zedaph and doc too i think they are very fun. i like when people try their best to make etho look less like kakashi and more like a person who used to cosplay kakashi and later re-puroposed their clothes, but i do find 1:1 kakashi etho fanarts very very fun. i also like when people horror-ify hermits a little

as for everyone elses... i dont know if aus count? ill pretend they do. i really like stiffycks vodnik scar. and the way applestruda draws mumbo and screachogreilige draws grian. all cultural/folk inspired designs drawn ever (make me feel very happy).
