I did really enjoy the episode.

Despite the rough intro of Chat noir with Scarbella, the episode did show off why Chat noir is a great partner. And I appreciate that. I also loved Scarbella’s plan. Solid plan. The last few minutes hit hard. And despite the sweet moment, we know s*** is gonna hit hard. It also makes Rocketear and Wishmaker hit so much harder.

So yea. 8.5/10

I am still annoyed at how easily Scarbella kicked Chat noir’s butt. (the competence of chat noir’s fighting ability is ridiculously inconsistent) BUT the main thing I wanted from the episode was there, that Chat noir showed why he is the heart of the team. And THAT is the part that mattered.

i need a lot of convincing already to agree to the commitment of any series but i think if i fall in love with one then i’d be happy if it’s pretty long. but i think 4 books is a good number for a series

hhhhh i want all books to be rounded out satisfactorily, but a bit of a cliffhanger can be fun

paperbacks, with a passion! they’re cheaper, smaller, lighter, easier to hold/bend into position, i hate hardcovers where the sleeves are slippin and slidin, and i dont mind the look of worn books at all in fact i think it’s pretty cute (which i might just be saying bc i wreck all my books ok im gonna shove them in my backpack it cant be helped) and i want my bookshelf to be consistently paperbacks so i get Angery when new books only come in hardcover and i have refused to buy books for that reason. but i have a few used and gifted hardcovers

i can’t say that i hold any real grudges against any books, but there is one book “in the name of the family” that my parents gave me for christmas, maybe bc i had a GoT phase? and it’s my only 1 star book. it’s probably not a BAD book but oh my god i could not get through it, every paragraph was torture because it was just so fucking BORING and i didnt understand the historical context or what was going on, nor did i care at all

Is Cuties REALLY that bad?

Y’all saw me. I defended this a few weeks ago when first glimpses came out. I said “we havn’t seen any of it yet so we cant condemn it!”

Its out now so I watched it.

Is it REALLY that bad?

I made it 28 minutes into the film. I can not watch more.

In the first half an hour we had multiple pans of YOUNG GIRLS bodies as they moved and “danced” sexually but what made me shut it down? In LESS than half an hour the movie explicitly shows a PREPUBESCENT GIRLS breast. Full on, whole nipple, totally uncovered.

Gawd I feel like I need a fucking shower now.

Why do I keep harping on the first half an hour? Because if thats the level you START at, where the hell do you go next?!

I JOKE about horror movies that “show” “teens” having sex or in sexual situations. Thing is? THEY AREN’T ACTUALLY TEENS. They are adult actors pretending to be teens. While its uncomfortable in a way, its not an actual child on screen.

This? This IS. These are ACTUAL children in this movie.

I can see where the story is going. A young Muslim girl and her family have just moved somewhere (presumably France but I’m not sure). She is “coming of age” in her religion. She must wear a head scarf and attend the serious religious meetings instead of being allowed to play with her younger sibling and the other kids.

She wanders down a hallway after the meeting while her mother is talking to another woman and she hears salsa music playing. She goes to investigate and finds a girl dancing suggestively in the laundry room. You’re meant to think this girl is much older until she turns around and you see her baby face and realize shes no older than the main character. Awkward psudo-lesbian feelings show on both girls faces before the scene cuts.

The next day our main character (no, I’m not invested enough to learn any names here) goes to her new school and sees the “Cuties” for the first time. 4 girls her age dressed in short dresses, crop tops, and tight pants. They do some weird statue BS that I STILL dont understand before the principal yanks one girl off to her office.

MC comes across the Cuties practicing under a bridge and spies on them from above. The girls get pissed for some reason and throw rocks at her. MC is stupid enough to just stand there while they throw rocks and gets one to the face. The next day at school, the girls harass her, call her ugly and stupid, ect. That night she uses her dads phone (which she stole) to look at instagram pictures of these girls and starts taking pictures of herself and posting them too.

Jump forward to next school day shes in the bathroom and listening to these girls talk about pictures of boy parts they have. SHE WIPES HER ASS very purposely for the camera (they dont show her bare ass but she takes tissue and wipes at the back of her butt. its obvious what she was doing) then leaves the stall to look over the girls’ shoulders at the pictures. For SOME reason, the girls dont tell her to fuck off which I’d have expected from this Mean Girls wanabe click but instead invite her into their conversation and start asking about her LITTLE BROTHERS private parts. Her brothers are, like, 5 and <1?! They then happen to see a boy the ring leader likes and dash after him. When he goes into the bathroom the girls dare MC to go take pictures of his bits. So she does. She just waltzes into the boys bathroom (which doesn’t seem to have a door?!) and starts recording him with her phone. When she runs out, the girls are gone, OBVIOUSLY.

Next day head bitch is at MC’s house and criticizes her for not being able to see anything and asks MC “do you even know how to use this?” MC then proceeds to lock her brother in the bathroom FOR SOME REASON and then head bitch breaks into the room they aren’t supposed to be in. They do some CREPPY FUCKING SHIT with gummy bears then head bitch grabs MC’s phone to show her a video.

It starts off pretty meh. Its some tweens dancing in ways they should not even know how to dance but nothing worse than we’ve seen so far.

Then one girl “accidentally” shows her breast for the camera.

The girl is, like, MAYBE 15? MAYBE????

And that is where I stopped.

This was all within the first TWENTY EIGHT FUCKING MINUTES.

This movie could have been made without actively harming these children. How? NOT USING MINORS. This movie’s story isn’t anything new. A girl from a traditional religious family discovers her body and her sexuality. I could find a fucking DOZEN Hallmark channel movies that do the exact same thing. The only difference was this traditional religious family was Muslim and not Christian. This movie has been done over and over again, and with quite a bit of the uncomfortable shit but its not nearly as uncomfortable because the actors are FUCKING ADULTS.

And whats worse? The basic story about her family and how shes breaking from it, it actually IS interesting. Its not NEW but its still interesting. Apparently her dad decided to take a second wife and her mom isn’t taking it well. Its an interesting look into a new culture and I LOATH that I cant see how this plays out simply because the fucking CHILD PORN that brackets the interesting story.

I thought this was going to be like Gotta Kick It Up or something. I think thats what supporters want people to THINK it is. But GKiU didn’t put literal CHILD PORN front and center.

Also? From a technical perspective? Its just a badly made movie.

There are odd and awkward lines, dead space that serves no purpose, and characters who’s actions make literally no sense. Camera angles are awkward and uncomfortable in situations that you dont have a REASON to be made to feel uncomfortable (funny enough, the scenes they say we SHOULD feel uncomfortable aren’t subject to these awkward angles). Scenes that make literally NO SENSE like the weird statue thing???

Its just. Its just all so badly made! Badly filmed. Badly written. Badly acted.

But what can you say? This movie had bad intentions behind it from the get go. Of course they aren’t going to put effort into the story or the acting. Thats not what its about.

This does not deserve a “goat yells at” tag.

Its just fucking disgusting.

I am coming down from a 12 hour panic attack/mental shutdown/depressive episode where I was nonverbal for 8.5 hours, and when I finally started calming down I had to speak with people and stand up and walk and make food for 2 hours. So all in all. Not great.

So my fam and I spent the last.. 2 months? Or more? Moving 1800 miles across the country. We have 99% of all our stuff in one (1) storage unit that is still at our old town. (We took 1 suitcase and several bags of our stuff. That is it. For months or maybe even a year. Clothes and stuff included.) I had to leave my desktop BUT I have a laptop.

I mean it's literally held together by tape and can't be unplugged and overheats faster than Satan's flambe kitchen in high summer, but it works and I can write so it's mostly good I guess?

And I have my (bad and outofservice) phone, AND ALSO AN AMAZING TABLET SOME FRIENDS COLLABORATED AND BOUGHT FOR ME AND I CAN DRAW ON IT AND I ALREADY HAVE SO MANY PICTURES I CANNOT WAIT TO POST THEM RKSLDNNFJSLSMJFKSLSKDBJDJSKSNDJPAMAJEK

I havent been sleeping well, (lol thanks asthma, allergies, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and altitude y'all are doin amazing) and I had to leave my entire irl friendgroup back home. A lot of them dont have Instagram or ways for me to contact them aside from texting.

We moved to my previous home when I was very small, but it took me almost 12 years to finally feel like I was home. And that was because of the people I met and cherished and loved. I finally had a support network.

And then I got the news we were moving 1800 miles away.

I have left the life i've spent 12 years rebuilding. Heyhey, depression when did you get here? 16 years ago? Dandy.

Long story short, i've been through all the stages of grief already but I'm still on shakey ground. (The anger stage was the fastest? Bc I dont get angry? Except at people who are genuinely bad or disrespectful towards their audience for no reason other than petty revenge or ego. I'm talking about Thomas Austruc, in case it wasnt obvious. Friggin Miraculous...) I accepted what happened, and have accepted it since about 2 weeks after I heard. I accept and adjust to things quickly and easily. Doesnt mean I like it, but I can and do adjust my mindset and lifestyle to the winds of life.

Kinda sucks at times tbh.

Bc my brain shoves the whole messy business of 'processing' side to acknowledge and move on.

Point is, I am mentally royally screwed atm. I am not medicated for any I my issues, (ADD, major depression, multiple severe anxiety issues, to name just a few of the 'nom-physical' issues) which means life is about a billion times harder to exist in. Okay so y'all are sleeping on the After Buzz interview!!! There's SO MUCH Klance goodness to unpack here, it's full meta worthy.

Okay, so I'm sure by now everyone who regularly views the Klance tag has seen a short 20-30 second video clip from this interview going around. We're all pretty hyped about it (as we should be!)

For those who haven't seen that clip because they live under a rock: it's basically a 45 minute interview all about The Fued episode.

Here's the thing though: that 20-30 second video clip does NOT even CLOSE to do justice to the significance of Klance hinted at in this interview!! That clip isn't even the best part, imo! I highly recommend, before you even scroll down to read this meta, that you click on that video and watch from about 34:50 to about 37:20. That's the clip I'm gonna write about.

Watched it? Okay. Good.

Now listen up.

Somebody was in the Klance tag earlier tryna get people down by saying the interviewer was the one who brought up Klance, but if you watch the video clip I reccomend above, that's not true at all.

The interviewer was asking in general about how they decided who would pick who at the end of the episode. Lauren is the one who brought up Keith and Lance and their dynamic, pretty much out of the blue.

The interviewer asked how they decided who was gonna pick who, and they're talking about who wrote the episode, giving Tim credit, etc.

Lauren started saying Bob was trying to get the better of the team, and having them all choose someone besides themselves and having everyone get chosen, and show they all respect each other, was the only way to beat Bob.

But JDS had a different view.

JDS: "I think Bob was just trying to help them realize it. I don't think he had it out for them, I think he was--his endgame was, like, I want these guys to work."

I know JDS was trying to sound like he was referencing the entire team here - but honestly? I don't think he was.

I say that because, when I first watched this episode as a Klance shipper, this was the exact thought I had regarding Klance. I flipped because I was thinking, "Wowza, Bob's really out here tryna bring Keith and Lance together, huh. Number one Klancer right there, ol' Bob." I've always thought that Bob was low key trying to play matchmaker for Klance and this kinda sort of confirms that in a way, I think.

JDS: "We were like 'how's this gonna happen?' then we read it and we were like '...oh that's pretty smart, yeah.'"

LM: "That is a good way for that to happen."

JDS: "It all worked out, yeah."

I don't understand how this relates to the team as a whole.

I don't understand how this relates to the team platonically choosing each other.

They all like and respect each other. We already know this. What does JDS mean by "how its gonna happen"? How is what going to happen?

Good way for what to happen, LM?

Keep in mind, Bob is essentially an all-knowing deity. If Keith and Lance have romantic feelings for each other, he for sure knows, and was trying to help them realize it just like JDS said.

After this, the interviewer continues on talking about Keith and Lance dynamic and how theres always gonna be that little bit of antagonism between them even though they're mostly getting along now. The interviewer even brings up the "dont miss" snippet scene that pretty much everyone but Klancers brushed off in season 7.

And if you listen while the interviewer is talking about Keith and Lance and their dynamic, LM is kind of saying "yeah" in the background in a weird way, like she kind of sees, the same way I do, that the interviewer is thinking along a line of Klance.

It sounds like she maybe doesn't want to talk about it? It's hard to explain, just listen to it.

And LM kinda awkardly says "aww" at one point while the interviewer is talking about Keith and Lance dynamic. Like I'm sorry but..why aww? And why so awkwardly?

I think LM's mind is thinking in a way geared toward Klance/not spoiling Klance in these last few moments of the interview and she's trying to placate. Again, it's hard to explain, just listen for yourself.

The same person in the Klance tag earlier who was tryna get people down pointed out that, after this, JDS compares Keith and Lance to a relationship he has with a buddy of his. Debbie downer said JDS thinks of Keith and Lance as friends.

I dont think so.

I think they say little things like this to kind of hint at Klance without straight up spoiling Klance. They throw in comments like that to throw water on the fire, so to speak, to keep people from catching on.

(Also: he's not wrong at all. At this point in the show Keith and Lance ARE buddies. It's slow burn. They aren't romantic yet - but they will be.)

But also...RIGHT after JDS makes the buddy comparison is when the moment happens of LM talking, the popular 20-30 second clip that's been going around tumblr.

This is the part I'm sure you've all seen. Lauren says that Lance is maturing, moving on, and opening up by calling Keith the future. She also puts emphasis on Keith's name. "I think KEITH is the future."

And after this is yet another moment that negative peeps are tryna bring KICKers down with; Lauren says Keith is so perturbed by the whole game show thing that he doesn't put much thought into who he chose.

But...that doesnt quite add up.

Earlier in the interview, they were talking about how Keith is just so calm through the whole thing.

LM and JDS said it's because they couldn't really get a hold of Steven Yeun to revoice the lines in a more concerned tone. They make a joke about how he's not exactly easy to get ahold of (lmfao yeah we've noticed.)

Then JDS points out that it really works out, actually, that Keith is so calm, because after flying magical mechanical space lions to form a giant magical mechanical space man, there's likely very little that could perturb Keith at this point, so his meh attitude toward the game show makes sense.

That doesn't add up with him being "so perturbed" by the game show thing that he just chooses at random.

Either he's calm and collected during the game show or he's not. It can't be both ways.

So did Keith choose Lance with a calm and clear mind, or was he shaken and choosing at random? They were very inconsistent with this.

But imo? Keith isn't one to get very riled up or perturbed by things like this. Keith also isn't one to make such an important life or death decision of who should be free to leave without putting any thought into it. That doesn't match his character at all.

LM and JDS did something they often do here, which is the good cop bad cop routine.

One of them hints at Klance, then the other pulls back and tries to make it seem less romantic. Then the one who tried to make it seem less romantic hints at Klance themselves, and the one who originally hinted at Klance tries to ease it back a little.

They do this constantly when discussing Keith and Lance in any way. It's like a rhythm they've got going to stoke the flames and then splash a little water in; not starting a wildfire, but not putting it out completely.

Another thing I noticed: they said earlier on in the video that, originally, the game show was meant to be the final episode before they got back to earth.

Originally, the stakes for the game show were supposed to be "win and you basically get wormholed back to your solar system."

They decided to switch the episode order around because it didn't feel right to have them get back to earth right on the heels of a silly game show; it made the stakes seem like they were less serious, and they didn't want that (makes perfect sense! Good call!)

One note of specific pessimism for Klancers after season seven was that we got that one he's like, the future moment and then Lance turns right around and is angry and snapping at Keith in the episode where they were going space mad.

This made a lot of Klancers lose hope because they felt like any potential was fizzled out when that one moment early on in the season was almost all the Klance we got (I personally think there were more Klance moments than just the Fued in season seven, and I even think Lance snapping at Keith about running away was a low key Klance moment, but that's another meta for another time.)

But...apparently...the space mad episode was originally meant to come BEFORE the Fued.

Y'all know what that means?

It means that, originally...Lance was going to snap at Keith about running away...and then he was going to call Keith the future later on.

This makes a hell of a lot more sense in the terms of Klance being a slow burn. It was the change of episode order that threw us.

Also notice that...they didn't specifically talk about any other characters or the relationship between any othercharacters. They JUST talked about Lance and Keith.

The interviewer asked in general how they decided who was going to choose who...and the showrunners just straight up spent three minutes talking about Keith and Lance without a single mention of the other three paladins.

The interviewer didn't bring up Klance. Lauren brought up Klance. The interviewer saw the opportunity and started digging a little, AFTER Lauren brought it up.

I just...

"He can't hate you. He's your brother." Angel said as we walked into the mall.

"Yeah. He's just simply not allowed to hate you." Aubrielle smiled. "He's just upset that you're dating one of his best friends and didn't tell him."

"Right. You should've seen how mad Jonah got when I told him about Daniel." Angel giggled. "He didn't talk to me for a week."

"Jack is my favorite person in the world. I cant stand that he's upset about this."

"Give him some time. I'm sure he'll get used to it."

"I hope so. Because if not, I'll have to break up with Corbyn & I don't think I'd be able to do it."

"I don't blame you." Aubrielle sighed. "Like Angel said, give him time."

"I will." I smiled and looked at the dresses in a store window we walked by.

"Has anyone seen Jack or Corbyn?" I asked the boys as I searched the house.

"Um...I think Corbyn went to get some groceries." Daniel replied without taking his eyes away from the screen. He was playing a video game with Zach and Jonah but he was clearly losing. "Oh. And Jack is in his room."

"Okay. Thanks." I sighed and went up to Jack's room. He was laying on his bed and looking at his ceiling. "Hey. Can I come in?"

"Thought you'd wanna spend time with your boyfriend."

"Okay dude. What is your problem with my relationship with Corbyn?"

"I have no problem."

"That's bull, Jack. What's bothering you so much? You should be happy that your sister is happy."

"Fine. You wanna know what's bothering me?"

"Yeah I do."

"I've warned Corbyn multiple times that you were off limits. I even told you that my friends were off limits but neither of you listened to me. And to make matters worse, you thought keeping it a secret wouldn't piss me off but it did. Do you not even care how anybody else feels about it?"

"Everyone else is perfectly fine with it. Even the fans are happy. They like Arbyn." I sighed.

"You guys have a ship name? Oh my god." He rolled his eyes.

"Jack, you're my favorite person in the entire world but if you can't accept the fact that I'm in a happy relationship, then I guess I'm gonna have to replace you."

"Fine by me. Go ahead. Do what you want. Clearly, my feelings don't matter to you anyway."

"Of course I care about your feelings Jack. You're my brother."

"Sometimes I wish I wasn't." He muttered.

"Screw you Jack." I sighed and ran to my room, slamming the door in the process. I threw my phone on the bed and watched as it bounced and hit the wall then fell to the floor. "Fuck."

"Hey Abby. It's Aubrielle and Angel. Can we come in?"

"Yeah sure. I don't care." I sighed and sat on my floor. I picked up my phone to see if there was any damage & thankfully there wasn't.

"Are you okay?" Angel asked.

"I'm fine."

"We heard your door slam so we figured your talk didn't go well." Aubrielle said as she sat next to me.

"It sucked. He said that I don't care about anyone else's feelings and that sometimes, he wishes he wasn't my brother. I dont know what to do now." I sighed and put my head in my hands. "I'm a terrible sister. He definitely hates me."

"Maybe he feels like you don't trust him. That's usually how siblings are if you keep a secret from them. I went through this with Jonah, Esther, Zeb & Svea. But they got over it. And so will Jack."

"It's just not fair that he can be happy and in a relationship but i can't."

"Maybe he's just looking out for you. Maybe he feels that Corbyn could break your heart, like your last boyfriend did."

"Aubrielle is right. Corbyn could possibly do that."

"He wouldn't. Corbyn is the sweetest guy in the world. I got really lucky." I smiled a little when I thought of him.

"You did. I honestly don't know Jack's real problem but he's being stupid right now."

"Thanks you guys. For trying to make me feel better." I sighed and looked at my phone. "I think I'm gonna have a nap. See you guys later."

"Alright. See ya." They waved before walking out, leaving my alone. I dont know what I'm going to do about Jack.

"Pizza's here!" I called to the boys upstairs. Angel grabbed some plates while Aubrielle got some drinks for everyone. The boys came down one by one, except for Jack. I'm guessing he's still mad.

"Where's Jack?"

"He went to Gabbie's an hour ago. Said he'd be back later." Jonah replied before grabbing some pizza and leaving the room. Zach, Daniel, Angel and Aubrielle followed him into the living room. Corbyn smiled at me.

"Come on. Let's go eat." He said before grabbing some drinks for us and leading me into the living room. He sat on the chair and I sat next to him with my legs across his lap.

"You guys want to play a video game or something?" Jonah asked. I looked up and his 3 slices of pizza were already gone.

"Dude, you just got your food. Where did it go?" I asked.

"I ate it." He hiccuped.

"And now you have hiccups." I laughed. "Karma."

"Shut up. It's not funny."

"Kind of is babe." Aubrielle smiled up at him from her spot on the floor.

"Damn you girls are mean." He chuckled and hiccuped.

"But you love us." We both smiled.

"Meh. Still debating that."

"Who's mean now?" Aubrielle tried acting offended but it wasn't working so well.

"Okay. Let's play a game." Zach cheered while he finished chewing the last bite.

"You guys eat incredibly fast." I shook my head and grabbed all the plates. Corbyn stood up and helped me. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." He smiled and kissed my head as I set the plates in the sink and started to wash them.

"Did Aubrielle mention anything to you about what happened with Jack?"

"No. Why? What happened?"

"We got in a huge argument and he said that I don't care about anyone else's feelings and that sometimes, he wishes he wasn't my brother."

"Awe Abby. I'm so sorry." He put his arm around me and sighed. "I feel like this is kind of my fault."

"He's blaming both of us Corbyn. Not just you. Don't blame yourself too."

"But it feels like he's mostly mad st me since you're his sister. He can't really be mad at you for long."

"I know he can't. But he'll be mad for a while." I sighed and put the last dish in the rack to dry. "It'll be okay Corbyn."

"No Abby. This sucks for you. He's mad and it's hurting you. Maybe...Maybe if we weren't dating, he'd still love you."

"What? Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

"If you think I'm saying we should break up, then yeah."

"Corbyn."

"I'm sorry Abby. But family is more important than a relationship and I can't get between you and Jack. I still love you and it hurts so much to do this." He sighed and gave me one last kiss before walking out of the kitchen. I went up to my room and plopped down on my bed, trying to process what just happened.

"Abby, can I come in?" I heard someone say. I looked up and saw Jack standing at my door.

"Go ahead."

"So I was at Gabbie's-"

"Oh great. Just what I needed to hear."

"Let me finish." He sighed and sat on my bed. "She made me realize that family is important and that I needed to apologise for what i said. I love you Abby and I cant live with that fact that I hurt you so much. I'm sorry."

"So you're choosing now to not be mad at me? Your timing couldn't be most perfect." I replied sarcastically.

"What are you talking about?"

"Corbyn and I broke up because he said that family was more important than a relationship. He said he couldn't stand in the way of the bond we have. He stepped aside because he didn't want you to be mad at me anymore. And now, all of a sudden, you're sorry for being mad? Why couldn't you have come home 45 minutes ago?"

"I'm sorry. I had no idea." He sighed and stood up. "I'll just...leave you alone now. Goodnight."
