oh gosh J is probably my fav out of all of them—(I may be biased) I just had the most fun drawing her. as for the B team, they’re not exactly a group but doll and lizzy are friends with eachother and make it everyone elses problem.

Khan, Nori, Yeva and Alice are all in this au, Yeva is Nori’s sister which makes Doll her cousin. We dont focus too too much on them but there will be a few (mostly awkward) interactions courtesy of three traumatized veterans, their autistic, creepy gremlin of a housemate/sister, and their equally as autistic doctor who’s methods are…hippocraticatically questionable that their strange kids bring home like a box of stray kittens. I havent figured out Yeva, Nori or Alice but Khan is definitely in some kind of engineering/security company.

JESSA IS REAL and the one thing i will be saying about it is that nuzi is NOT the painful awful torturous frustratingly oblivious slowburn ship of this au. Tessa is STUPID. J is GAY. we will leave it at that

Tessa can drive. She has a shitty toyota corolla she paid more money to ship over to the states from AUS than on a first class ticket or a rental car. Its name is Bertie, she has no AC, shocks, or a working left back door and everyone HATES it because it is their main source of transportation. V is capable of driving but does not own a car. N and J are both unfit to drive for different reasons but both as a result of post traumatic stress.

well obviousdly theres The Dogdeer Fic but uhhh in terms of fae-centric stuff i do have uh. a few ideas. main 1 is a multi-chapter(maybe) fic based on part of faes topside ending (something about her getting taken in by some family in the commonwealth?) except i dont actually know much of what actually happened bc im avoiding spoilers so all of this could be horrifically inaccurate! so uh take it with a grain of salt lol ill probably edit it when i actually liberate her. also heres some snippets if youre inchrested lol

Honestly, not much was given in this one for like DARKWICK lore, except for the fact they work with underground connections as well as governmental. That’s actually so wild how powerful they are. I’m actually so excited to see more of Ritsu’s emotional side, and Romeo/ Taiga’s backstory, not just tightened but their personal ones too. Still don’t have Taiga’s unique magic womp womp :(. Hyde… is freaking me out a bit too. And nothing has been explained about why Hyde called Sho for a “special mission”. It doesn’t look like he’s gonna be a part of the next chapter too, so it’s making sho SUPPERRRR SUS rn. its 2024 we need to put some respect on baiheng's name

HUNT!! like is this not common knowledge?? its almost certainly the driving force to her central conflict as a character, whether to remain with the xianzhou and risk her life for the hunt or to abandon it and become a nameless

like in those bits we see that she, like her parents, was a nameless, but also that she had great luck and used that luck to help the xianzhou in combat, and also she joined the hcq and the hcq were all labeled as outcasts, so maybe her long absences from the yaoqing/the orbit fleets drove a divide between her and her duty to the xianzhou because she just wanted to trailblaze, and this divide between her allegiance to the hunt and the trailblaze is what made her an outcast

also that line from blade always sticks out to me because baiheng is depicted as the one to bring wine to the hcq

so baiheng is bringing them (and consistently, jingliu, but we can assume since nobody else is mentioned to bring wine to them that baiheng is bringing wine to all of the hcq) wine which they used to "drown [their] sorrows"... i wonder who introduced that habit to them, considering she also introduced wine to them... but regardless this isnt directly stated in cannon so i wont focus on it

ok tldr

like just from the fact she fought with the xianzhou (and chose to return even after she'd go trailblazing) shows that she follows the hunt, i dont understand why her lore path is listed as just the trailblaze when its so clearly the main conflict of her character that she follows both the trailblaze and the hunt

SHE IS LITERALLY ONLY APPRECIATED INSIDE OF 1 SHIP. (LIUBAI) BUT SHE EXISTS AS HER OWN CHARACTER!!! but nooo instead we must have arguments about her because she "ruined the lore" no she didnt, the lore is fully coherent! ofc we dont have all the details but who cares! dan feng and yingxing tried to revive her thats all we need to know in regards to parts of the hcq's lore that had widespread consequences!! im whipping out my passerby analysis im sorry if the image is very small but tldr the beloved FRIEND cant be any other than baiheng its 2024 we need to stop arguing about passerby ok fellas

like im so sick of people only bringing her up in relation to ships, i am like one of like 5 other people who actually like baiheng for being baiheng and not just inside of a ship. baiheng is super cool!!! and so integral to the hcq story!! and also she's really pretty!! and we should talk about her more and appreciate her more!!

also i hate the thought that yingxing making the flask for her and "finally" making up his mind to give it to her has to imply something romantic, she was his beloved FRIEND and even those small words of encouragement she gave him on the zhuming gave him some confidence and optimism. them being friends and these words affecting yx (bearing in mind baiheng seems to be one of the first people to give yx encouragement, because he "seems to have a brighter expression on his face" after baiheng talks to him, why would he react like that if he was praised often) so deeply show how important they are to each other.

and also his choice to do the sedition with df can also be way more impactful because baiheng changed yingxing's life so much for the better, and now he cant stand the idea of her not being around and was grieving so much that he agreed to commit a major crime with dan feng just for a chance of bringing her back

ok now let's wrap this all up and put a bow on it (baiheng would look so cute with a bow in her hair omg)

the fact the WIKI cant even get this right when its so obvious baiheng followed the hunt is just crazy to me and people really need to appreciate baiheng as baiheng!! yes liubai is an amazing ship but she exists outside of it and her platonic relationships with ALL of the hcq are so important! people need to appreciate the hcq as a platonic family-esque quintet and also recognize the individual characters and dig into them all!! ok boom, take the hcq again i love them i hope we get stuff about them in 2.4 i really miss them

i dont rlly blame the fandom for such, their relantioship is mostly played as a joke in the show than a real thing to develop their characters and dynamic, which is fine, not everything needs to be treated seriously, specially if we're talking about a side character and his love interest that is one of the main antagonists in a exagggerated comedy. also, sometimes they have pretty toxic moments, like, vicky literally beats him up and mark attempted to kidnap her and also knew exacly where she lived, thats disturbing! and yet, it makes total sense for them to be toxic, given how awful they both are. i mean, were. because mark actually improves in the later seasons and even becomes friends with timmy, and tbh?? that brings even more potential to them, like, i think their relantioship could either help them improve or make eachother worse. (the latter i refer more to vicky, though, i can see she getting actual character development if she was more grounded, like in the oh yeah cartoons shorts/season 0.)

anyway, i conclude they could've been cute in a weird way, they could be more than what there was in the show.

• morning stars are medieval weapons that vicky carries with her a lot of times through the show, while mark finds somewhat of ammusement in violence due to his planet's culture. im pretty sure too that in the earlier seasons it was mentioned that he enjoys torturing prisoners, so it definetely fits both of them. 😭 (THESE FREAKS ARE DESPICABLE AND SICK (IN THE EARLIER SEASONS), THATS WHY I LIKE THEM SO MUCH. Unpopular opinion, but I really feel like Mui has more chemistry with Nezuko than Zenitsu does, despite their limited interactions 😭 I mean, zenitsu and nezuko is cute but at the same time its like zenistsu just likes nezuko and nezuko doesnt really care so much about him, she just goes with it 😭 the head tilts that mui does and nezuko copies is cute. even in the last episode of the swordsmith village when mui does it and nezuko copies again, it made me realise that mui only did the head tilts when asking about nezuko ��� I've also seen some cute fanarts about them, and its cute that in kimetsu gakuen, they're both in the same class! And I like how they seem to be very comfortable with each other, I love those panels in the manga of Mui showing gingko to nezuko, and nezuko laying on his lap 🥰

These two are cute as well, its funny how much Mui overly favours tanjiro 😂 there are so many cute fanfics on ao3 about these two being written now because of season 4. and about tanjiro asking about mui's hobbies, its so sweet that kanamori is just sitting with a ton of paper airplanes! Its as if Mui just sits there while kanamori is busy working and makes origami, and then gifts it to kanamori. 4. Rengoku/Misturi

Considering how close they are, I'm disappointed that the anime didnt show mitsuri having more of a reaction to rengoku dying... obanai as well. Mui also had an emotional reaction! at least only after he gained his memories though, he's the only hashira they showed who actually shed tears for rengoku 😭 I will forever prefer obanai for mitsuri, but rengoku does make a good match for her. they are both loud and eccentric characters and suit each other's personalities well 😍

5. Koku/Nakime

I think these two just look good together as well! 🥹 I feel like these two have a regal look about them. could you share that artist's name who draws them please, if thats alright? I feel like Nakime is the only demon who Kokushibo would actually get along with, apart from Muzan 😂 they both seem calm and collected. 1) I know! There are many people who are not good at speaking and that is why they write and I thought that would be perfect for Genya since he is quite nervous and gets a little angry because he can't speak properly and gets frustrated.

ofc he wants Bepo, not only Bepo is special to him emotionally - he is very much into him physically too. Law's attraction is very "cute aggression" - like, and the aggression part is very sexual.

Law knows what Bepos fur feels like to the touch but he never got to dig his hand deep in it, to actually touch the skin, go against the hair, comb it through his fingers and grab a handful of him. For the ship opinion bingo: Syzoth/Ashrah

(I've never even played any Mortal Kombat, but I'm curious.)

they are canon though unfortunately you dont really get much development for them in the actual game. so like if you try and search up cute moments with them or anything like that, the best you are going to find is their pre-fight dialogue which is pretty cute or pre-fight dialogue they have with other characters where they talk about their relationship. and because of that, you really do have to use your imagination to understand how it works. we have no idea canonically how they came to be a couple, but when you take both of their backstories into account, they make a lot of sense imo.

ashrah is a demon from the mk version of hell, and she has essentially been enslaved by a human who learned enough dark magic to gain access to that hell and enslave ashrah and her sisters to all do his bidding. she had a realization while out seeing the realms that there was more to life than what the netherrealm and quan chi (the human i was talking about) had to offer her and that if she just devoted her life to absolving herself and becoming a beacon of justice, that way of life could be hers as well. two of her sisters, still under quan chis spell, were forced to go after her and she had no choice but to kill them in self defense, which is something that hurt her greatly. but now shes fighting on the side of good and she strives to do her best to defend humanity so that she could one day be absolved and essentially become a human herself, in spite of the fact that there are those who look down on her for being a demon or doubt that she is up to the task.

then you have syzoth, a guy who comes from a race of giant lizards called zaterrans. but unlike the rest of them, syzoth has the ability to shift between being a giant lizard and being a human passing dude. his race of people are treated with prejudice, but then his own people also treat him with prejudice themselves because of his unique ability, leaving him an outcast who was run out of his home. the best he could do to support himself was join a traveling carnival. since then though he was able to get married and have a child. but unfortunately for him, a human by the name of shang tsung wanted to study his unique ability so that he could have it for himself, and the way he decided to do it was by abducting his wife and son and holding their safety above his head, and forcing him to be a test subject in his lab and then to become his enslaved labhand. it was discovered during the mk1 story that syzoths family had actually been dead for a long time and he had been lied to to keep him subservient. it was also discovered that quan chi and shang tsung were actually partners in a plot to dominate all realms.

i give you these backstories because they are the reason i feel like ashrah and syzoth work very well together. they are both people who are looked down upon by the rest of society for being who they are, they were both people who were enslaved and taken advantage of, the people who enslaved each of them were in on the same catastrophic plot, and they both lost family in the process of all this happening. to me, it makes sense that they would be together because they both understand what the other went through in a way that no one else in the story does. but you also find that they differ in very interesting ways as well. ashrah wants nothing more than to absolve herself and become a human, but syzoth, despite how much his people hate him, is very proud of being zaterran and wouldnt trade his identity for anything. their trajectories through life are so similar but they arrived at such different conclusions about their sense of self and their identities, i think that they could each learn so much from one another and grow together in interesting ways. the understanding and comfort they find in one another but then also the fact that they also show unabashed support for the others goals and dreams as well, they just mesh so well with one another.

now to touch on pre-fight dialogue, despite his feelings about his own identity and not really understanding wanting to be a human, he has made it clear in the pre-fight that he would do anything to stay by her side and help her achieve her goal of absolution. the literal god of that universe is a playable character in mk1 and he tries to steer syzoth away from ashrah in pre-fight dialogue, and he quite literally tells that god to mind his business.

meanwhile syzoths goal is to bridge the gap between the humans and zaterrans, and he is doing it as the empress of his realm's emmissary. it was discovered toward the end of the story that the zaterran rulers are corrupted and that there are actually others who had his unique ability who have been purged, and he has made it his goal to investigate this. ashrah can be heard in the pre-fight dialogue with the nobility pleading with them to help his cause, which shows that she is just as invested in his goals as he is in hers. they honestly have the makings of a great ship, if they could just lol show us what it looks like in the story i would be over the moon

so roze is older than vel by a good 6 or so years imo. shes much more mature but since vel generally keeps to his own/pays his own way she is not bothered by this at all.

there was no official statement that theyre together but vel assumes this is the case and roze doesnt entirely care either way as long as vel treats her right. she Does like to be spoiled.

vel also does basically literally everything she asks. hes 100% like a dog looking for treats and the treats are her doing "thanks" or "good boy"

she doesnt entirely understand all of vel's interests bc she was never much into media (she likes to be outside more & movies and such just dont hold her attention) but she does pay attention to what hes into. she can name some characters, name all the various games, and does actually pay attention to metalocalypse.

headcanon: talked about this briefly in my tags, but a very special hc to me is that all dragon trainers come from a singular clan before splitting apart where they now live in the different regions. lance and raihan are cousins and are considered the most esteemed and powerful trainers in their clan and have had a friendly rivalry since being kids. despite bickering due their completely different attitudes and outlooks on life and what it means to be a dragon trainer, they also bring out positives in eachother. lance made raihan appreciate the culture of their clan more (which in turn helped him appreciate his vault job even more) and raihan taught lance how to loosen up and not feel so pressured by the very strict johto branch of dragon trainers. oh and he’s also great with kids and kids love him for how goofy he can be lol

wish: definitely wish we saw more of the gentle side of him that’s hinted to be there both via the game and anime.

Link— this is when i reveal my biggest secret… i love gothcleats. i like gothcleats a lot more than i like swiftli. gothcleat moments are more serious and carry more meaning, swiftli if mainly just funny homoeroticism and i love it. i honestly don’t know how to explain why i like gothcleats so much i just do. they hold a special place in my heart. —swiftli is my second favorite. Doctor two brain ships? Like all of themn? Or another question, which characters you DONT like shipping with ? you chose

Even though the rat man does give me fatigue sometimes, I still think he's great and his dynamics with other characters makes him really fun. For his ships, or if you're asking what ships I like with DTB--then yeah I can say.

-Like I said before on my top Otps, I'm very fond of him and Professor Robert Tubing. Tubing in general deserved more and I have a lot of headcanons/character writing for him, during that process I played with the little idea of him and Steven being ex-friends or colleagues. And with that very little interact DTB and Tubing had in "Cat and mouse game" I was like... but what if. So then I proceeded to go insane coming up with these ideas about Tubing and Two Brains having this wild ass dynamic and of course boats of angst. If Tubing was used more he literally would have been DTB's foil and I'm a sucker for that in shipping. Also yeah I did the ultimate cringe thing and created fan kids of them for an AU. I could go really on how much I love these two and how it sparks me to engage with Two Brains content. Plus giving Tubing what he truly deserves.

As for other DTB ships, I like them and think they're pretty good too. While they're not at the status of top ships for me, I respect them.

-I always appreciated Provoclone and it's kinda grew on me, but a bit hard for me to see Beatrice not as either sapphic or aromatic personally. Still cute!

-Butcher and DTB is really funny. Someone pointed out how they have a really (one is super affectionate and the other doesn't reciprocate or is too hesitant). DTB really likes Butcher but our meat man is all “y'all hear something?” with him, it's great. This one is kinda underrated, like most Butcher ships-- but again not for me personally, but I respect it's uniqueness if this is the dynamic to go for.

-Grilled cheese is good too. The Chuck's mom's not home episode really solidified their potential and wow that truly was one of the gayest. But also sometimes they appear to be at each other's throats too. They got a little animosity but will kiss each other vibe. Again not for me, but dang their name is good

- That's the more notable ones I can think of, I know there's also a boat load of other miscellaneous DTB ships that I'm missing but I think for me they all fall into "this is a neat idea" camp and nothing much else unfortunately. There's also the very rare but also hype idea of Headcanoning DTB as a flirt Aro--which I think is really cool and actually could be true if you want to stick to his characterization in canon.

As for characters (singular characters) I don't like shipping? Idk if that's just in general or something else..but I'll go with the first one bc I like painting targets on my back. (Disclaimer this isn't me saying I don't ship these characters with others bc it's problematic or whatever, it's just preference or HCs).

- Violet. Yeah I know kill me. But there's a good reason. Even though I appreciate like every Violet ship and think they're all cute in their own right... I'm sorry but to me this girl is Aroace. I know as someone who likes to follow canon interactions to justify ships, I should be all over Sciolet, Vibecky, Scoobecklet, but idk they're all cute, but I always imagined that after a certain time Violet would be great avenue to explore her being super affectionate and friendly to the point others might construe as romantic but nope she's just like that :) and that's perfectly fine.

- Same with Rex. To me they're aromatic, and not because he's an unfamiliar with things like emotions and acts almost robotic with his mannerisms with human culture bc he's alien, it's more like Rex does understand and they wouldn't say no to a date or partner, he just doesn't prefer it.

- I mentioned on the DTB ships that Beatrice (LRW) also follows into this category. I love her, she's my perfect blend of fail woman by day and girlboss by night, she deserves no one and nobody deserves her. Or sapphic but still prefers not to be in anything committed.

- Tim and Sally. Sorry but they're inseparable and probably too monogamous to shipped with others, even in a polycule.

- Ms. Power. Yeah I know I technically have a Pla//sma rope fankid, but to be fair I never said they were together. For me it's not a matter of HC with this one, I just don't really vibe with much of Powers ships, like I think girlie just wants to be alone nor do I think she would be a good partner if we're being honest. Like I'm iffy on even giving her a redemption arc since I like her so much as an antagonist. And even with evil partner ships I'm like eh. To me I think the only love she really needs is herself...both in a narcissistic way and to do something about that underlying self esteem she probably has.
