I'm thinking about Gillian Taylor, lesbian (in my heart), standing on that stolen bird-of-prey on their way back to the 23rd century, and trying to figure out the correct way to (tactfully) ask if Kirk and Spock are gay.

Back in the 80s, she'd just assumed that they were gay. I mean, dressed like that? She'd also, however, assumed that they were on drugs, probably a hallucinogen of some kind, which - turned out to be not quite true. So, really, anything was fair game, now, and she no longer knew if they were gay. Maybe that's just how men in the 23rd century were with each other.

She tried to watch, to analyze their actions objectively, but with how busy they were making sure that the ship didn't explode, they weren't really interacting all that closely with one another, and she truly couldn't tell.

So instead she just stood there, next to Admiral Kirk, trying to find the right words to use, words which wouldn't be heard as an insult if she was wrong or if the 23rd century was no more enlightened about these sorts of things.

And then Dr. McCoy walked in and, casual as you please, said, "Jim, where the devil has your husband run off to?"

Husband. He said the word so easily, like it was - normal. Like it was safe and accepted, for a man, an admiral, even, to be gay. He didn't even glance at Gillian as he said it, never even seemed to consider that someone might react poorly. Maybe no-one ever did, in the 23rd century.

Everything sort of faded out of focus for Gillian, after that. She didn't hear another peep until McCoy, concerned, put his hand on her shoulder, and asked if she was alright.

She just smiled in response and told him that, yes, she was doing very well.

Because if Admiral Kirk could have a husband... that meant that she could have a wife.

Oh yes, she thought she'd be quite happy in the 23rd century.

still laughing that sam and matt absolutely could have definitively figured out luc's age before the liveshow and declared whatever age made the most sense as canon and we all would have rolled with it. but instead, they decided to make him a "someteen year old boy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ " who "was taken to the fey realm" so "we don't really know how old he is" which is just. so much funnier

it's kind of weird to me that they didn't bother releasing sushi and tempura internationally at all but at the same time i'm kinda glad they didn't cuz like. yo-kai watch was financially failing in the west by the time 3 released. i feel like if they had released sushi and tempura the franchise would've completely tanked before we got sukiyaki which would've sucked. honestly if anything i feel like it's more surprising that we got all three versions of 2 instead of them just releasing psychic specters but tbf i think yo-kai watch was doing well in the west when 2 released. 2 is just inexplicably what killed the franchise despite being a masterpiece-

#mira makes gifs ✨#sophie shepard #james vega #EDI #urdnot wrex #mordin solus #mass effect #mass effect 3 #me3 #mass effect legendary edition #dailygaming #i'm gonna continue the rambles in the part 2 gifset but one of the things i adore about tuchanka is the scenic shots #there are literally so many gorgeous ones that about half of part two is scenic shots because holy fuck tuchanka is beautiful #the kalros reaper ones especially? like those are so cool i had to include at LEAST a few of them bc that fight is awesome #and when the cure disperses?? literally the prettiest scene in the game #EDI and james have really cute dialogue together too!! i adored their moments towards the end of the mission #although i did say i was gonna give thoughts on mordin in sur'kesh and i think it boils down to him being an okay?? character in my book #like mordin definitely isn't one of my favorites but i will respect that he's definitely a very complex character and he's interesting imo #especially in terms of how he's written and his motivations/how he sort of grows and evolves over both ME2 and ME3 #like the quote i subquoted the post with is the one you get when you try to stall him from going up into the tower #(so it's not from soph's canon- but i love the scene so i used it anyways)#and one of the things i really like is that you can see the switch from mordin in ME2 who argues that what he did was RIGHT #versus mordin in ME3 who is starting to see what was wrong in the context of all the new information he has #and for me- seeing a character who can grow to recognize that they're flawed and made mistakes- i can respect the HELL outta that #even if mordin isn't my favorite character in the trilogy i'm gonna give him massive props for his character growth arc #because it's always interesting to see someone grow and recognize their mistakes and find a way to be a better person #to own their mistakes and fix the shit that they fucked up #i don't think i'd ever choose the option to not cure the genophage but mordin will always get props from me for his character arc tbh #i'll stop rambling now! have a good day wherever you are <3

some friends convinced me to try using a dating app to get over this guy I have feelings for (the feelings are requited but long story short a relationship is not in the cards and ALSO we have to see each other multiple times a week regardless so we can't get away from each other 🙃) and like. why does this give me so much anxiety. I really don't know how to date. I don't catch feelings for people unless I've known them for a while. I'm the embodiment of friends to lovers. and until I catch feelings not only do I have zero interest in even holding hands, the thought of it also makes me anxious and then I panic and run away. why am I like this...

#i don't like how this past year has been me getting really anxious because of my health #because it really put me on edge deciding whether i want to draw and finish my projects #or do my schoolwork and finish college #because i haven't been able to imagine myself anywhere past graduation and my health situation hasn't helped matters #i could be overreacting and i'm actually fine and this is a temporary pain issue #because i'm continuously denied getting my pain checked out due to expenses and the like #everything is too expensive #who knows maybe i'll live past graduation and i can continue my art as usual #but i'm panicking more over the pain daily and feel like stopping my classes and just draw draw draw #i'm more concerned about making fanart tbh because i have so many ll wips #and i sincerely want to give back to the fandom more than ever #but a dead artist can't contribute #neither can a living artist who is in too much pain to work #still thinking about posting my wips and ideas and maybe they'll inspire some other people here #ideas and concepts will get lost in translation but it's better than nothing #... i wish we had more artists here #maybe i won't feel this way if that was the case #ernest talks #i really don't meant to death scare anyone reading this i could be overreacting over my own health #it just ties real closely to how worried i get about the fandom in general and how much time i dedicate making projects for the community #so i'm just.. scared i guess #how would people know when a blog largely on hiatus is permanently inactive? will i let people know in time if something happens to me?
