Fake killing Blitzø anon here, back at it again:
Yeah, saying that it was cheap and a sign of failure was my point.
Because they already failed. The fanbase mayorily HATES Blitz's guts to the point of vitriol and constantly woob-ify Stolas. If they try to get them together when the fanbase still doesn't see anything good in Blitzø (after all Spindlewhores made such a thing as a “I hate Blitzø" party) there are several people who won't like Viv's new favorite literally fetishized ship. So they need a way to salvage it. But what way do they have to make Blitzø likeable again?
I do genuinely hope I'm wrong tho. But still it seems as the more likely posibility... And in line with what Viv would do. After all Look My Way was completely unnecessary, and was originally a song about Stolas and his relationship with his daughter. But of course, we needed more Owl Pain™.
Hey, hello there!
I think that if they see Blitz groveling on the ground and apologizing profusely to Stolas for the things the owl should apologize for, they will be content anyway.
I am actually pretty new to the fandom, so I don't know all the lore behind the songs, I didn't even know that Look my way was a fansong originally. That's also why at the beginning I didn't even notice all the woob-ification of Stolas. The part about their childhood was very random during my first watch too, and looking back at it, there's no reason to show just how pitiable Stolas is. He's got a pretty good life. It would be a different situation if, say, he was trying to conceive an heir but couldn't do so. That way he would have something serious to worry about (Paimon's reaction that was hinted during the flashback). But I digress.
Back to Blitz, I hope they won't fake kill him off just to make Stolas more pitiable (there's really no need) and to make the fandom like Blitz again... From what I've understood of The Vivzie Lore, she would be content if the people she thought did her wrong (but it was the other way around in truth, something that's mirroring the Stoliz situation both intentionally or unintentionally) came back to her and apologized profusely. Which, of course, is something normal intelligent irl people would never do lol so she projects and will make Blitz do it in her show (I hope I'm making sense).
So, Blitz could probably be compelled to grovel if he was faced with a near-death experience. I don't know if, when you said "fake killing" you meant from just a narrative standpoint (i.e. the audience thinks he's dead but he actually wasn't all along) or also from a plot point (he is killed and then resurrected with magic). In the first case, I would agree with you (even if I still hope they won't go through that route).
I hope the answer made sense, I just started rambling lol

Oh when I said the journey pantheon I meant the Dura-Dusk Lord-Misarte situation. Since they all seem to be of (maybe) equal level and all under the same religion, even though worshipped by different etho-geographical groups. It has interesting lore implications like the prior mentioned split-afterlifes possibility
It’s mostly just a shortcut way of acknowledging the difference in gods between games, since I believe arena only has Dura and Annih as true gods (and celestials are demigods now? Idrk I’m mostly going off the earlier post).
Actually now that I think about it I wonder where the celestials fall in the Journey lore
Also I wouldn’t be too surprised if Annih was supposed to be in Journey and is heavily related to the giant black hole in the lore. At the very least he hasn’t been proven to *not* be in the game so I’m holding out where I can.
I do think the combination of multiple afterlife’s for factions + the Arena lore for the origins of graveborns actually meshes pretty well.
Death god rules over specifically fallen lightbearers -> bye bye -> only lightbearers can get resurrected from lightbearer afterlife due to magic spells of That One Asshole™
At the very least that’s what I’m gonna tell myself so I can sleep tonight
P.s. there’s an interesting affinity line where Cecia’s summon is mentioned to “give off a vaguely wilder-like presence”. It would be interesting to see if graveborn magic can infected wilders in some way. We do see Eormir get turned into a crazy monster thing due to dark magic as well so very curious indeed.
Ouhhh okay! I like your theory, but I would be sad if they demoted Annih to just death god to light bearers 😢😢 not an elite employee
I hope if it’s true, we get so see the god of death for wilders/maulers. Their design would be killer 🫣🫣

i miss human!cas so badly 😭 i feel like we've been robbed. do you think human!cas endgame can still work after the finale and spnwin?
SAME. omg same.
And... yes, absolutely. I don't think anything in the series, or in The Winchesters, precludes a human Cas endgame, mostly because we got zero resolution on him, you know? Yes, he Spoke His Truth, but he wasn't allowed to hear any sort of response.
All of s15, I screamed about how all the stuff he was "teaching to Jack" about being loved and wanted for who he is (when Jack was struggling with his seeming inability to do anything right or actually be able to "help" or "be useful")... ALL THAT STUFF EQUALLY APPLIES TO CAS HIMSELF. AND HE NEVER WAS ALLOWED TO FULLY EMBRACE THAT UNDERSTANDING.
I spent all of s15 yelling that yes, that's all great, but now SOMEONE NEEDS TO SAY ALL OF THAT TO CAS.
He understands the concepts, but doesn't fully understand that they apply TO HIM.
Because the narrative didn't allow Dean to TELL him.
And that's just a damn crime!
I mean, so much of Cas's entire character arc from s4 onward was this struggle with being USEFUL versus just being WANTED and NEEDED for who he is. I just recorded the podcast for 5.21, where he struggled with feeling useless because he'd completely lost his powers for the first time. And yet... was completely badass as a powerless, effectively-human participant in the raid on Niveus. But then it's all washed away and he's magically restored to full angelhood, and feels like it's his MISSION, his DUTY to "save Heaven" and take on the responsibility for what every other angel does. Because he was given that power back.
His entire arc his this struggle against Duty™ and always feeling like there was a Cosmic Reason™ for him being resurrected, or being in a position to Do Something About The Problems. Versus him just being IMPORTANT TO THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM BECAUSE HE'S CAS. Like... that's just as valid a "reason" for him to be in the story, you know?
So... yeah, to me, there's nothing more important to the completion of his arc than for him to finally lay all that duty aside and just be allowed to CHOOSE what he wants for himself, based on the full understanding that he's Loved, that he's LIKED, that he's wanted and needed for HIM ALONE, and not for how useful or powerful he can be to anybody. Art, hope, love, dreams... he deserves all of that too. And not to be sacrificed pointlessly in the vain hope that everyone else he cares about will be able to have those things without him. Because really, they can't.

The fact that there is a SEVERE lack of Ashton x Laudna headcanons/support after this recent episode PAINS ME.
Come on!
The emotionally charged insistence to be willing to do ANYTHING to bring her back?
The clear reluctance of leaving her when others called for help?
The continual quietly bringing up seeking out the person who already “owns” him because of their debt because he’s perfectly happy to get even deeper if it means they can see Laudna as a living and happy person again?
I could go on, but there is SO MUCH breadcrumbs Talisen is feeding the critters that is going ignored!
It doesn’t help that last night Ihad a dream that Ashton is finally confessing to Laudna of their feelings and it’s so painfully sweet and romantic and heartfelt, only she gets a little distracted because she somehow can turn invisible now and she’s super excited about it, and while Ashton is jokingly wondering to himself why they are in love with this goofball, she surprises him with a little kiss on the lips and wanders off giggling to show everyone else her new trick, while Ashton is hilariously rooted to the spot staring after her, his lips curiously dyed a similar dark inky color to Laudna’s magic goop 😅
I feel you, Anon. I think a lot of people are too focused on Laudna's bond with Imogen to consider Ashton, who so obviously cares deeply about Laudna in ways he doesn't about any of the other Bells Hells, even FCG, whom he's known the longest. He goes out of his way to look out for her. He pays attention to her. He always notices when she's having a hard time and tries to help her. He tells her he likes her, all of her, and has made that clear repeatedly since day one.
All of that is remarkable enough, considering Ashton's attitudes towards attachment and most other people generally, but their reaction to Laudna's death is truly significant and revealing. This crotchety, abrasive punk, who went through so much to get free of Hexum, said they would be happy to be immediately plunged back into debt if it would save Laudna's life, without a moment's hesitation. They are desperate not to lose her. "We will fucking fix this." You could not have a clearer indication that Laudna means the world to them. God the "tell Hexum I will doing anything" fucking broke me.
I'm also kind of obsessed with how Ashton's behaviour runs parallel to Imogen's. Imogen is the recognized Closest Person To Laudna™, but so much of Ashton's behaviour shows he's just as devastated as her, though he processes it differently. I think the best moment that illustrates that is when he wants to put her in the hole to protect her body and Imogen snaps at him to carry her. He's thinking of the most practical way to keep Laudna's body from harm, because the more quickly and efficiently he can handle everything, then the faster Laudna can be saved, but Imogen's thinking of it as undignified, Laudna's body deserving more than to be thrown in a hole. And then Ashton sees Imogen's point immediately and carries Laudna without argument, because they both want Laudna to have everything she is due. And neither of them wanna leave her. And oh man the bit where Ashton asked Imogen to trust them, like they're asking her if she trusts that they'll do anything for Laudna and never do anything to intentionally hurt or disrespect her.
I super need to see Ashton contribute to Laudna getting resurrected, because I very much want to hear what he'd have to say to her to coax her soul back to her body.
Anyway! Thank you for popping in, Anon. That's a lovely dream and I severely hope we get to see some cute moments with them in the future.

Would you like to tell me about your ocs
uhhhh what ocs. ive never had one of those in my life.
ok like in all honesty the last few months(?) have just been me fixating on a rotating series of indulgent throwaway characters and scenarios that feel like they change out every week but i suspect if i kept notes its actually probably like every other day. they entertain me while my interest holds, and if i don’t make Something™ out of each and every one of them, thats okay. Maybe a couple of them will eventually cycle back in and i’ll figure out something to do with them, idk.
That said I dug through the last yearish(?)’s worth of content I can remember to try and find anything reasonably interesting and/or shelf-stable:
Magicalgirlverse - one of the only things ive actually written for in a while. most of them are underdeveloped (ie. pending literally any development). I know there’s a hearts/love-themed magical girl, a flower magical girl, a sun moon stars trio, a wolf magical girl, and one whose original prompt was “godzilla”.
The problem is... I thought it would be fun to give one of them a monster boyfriend, and then I thought it would be sad if all his friends were dead or evil, so I added a second monster boyfriend, who is very angry with the first one, and then the drama between them hijacked the plot.
The magical girls will get to be the center of their own story. Eventually. I hope.
Characters I can reasonably describe in any detail so far:
Bright Angel Queen: hearts magical girl. Not quite an endless font of compassion, but she tries. Her real name is Hestia and yes she picked it.
Scythe: Monster boyfriend (sad). Used to be evil but defected out of love for Hestia. Has a very goth civiliansona (defaults to his true from in private, no i don't know what he looks like). Used to have four brothers and would literally rip his heart out of his chest to save the last of them.
Shadow: Monster boyfriend (angry). Used to be (?) evil but left because everyone he cared about was dead, abandoned him, or in Dark Glory’s case, in danger if they stayed. Would watch Scythe rip his heart out of his chest for his sake, and still spit in his face.
Dark Glory: wolf magical girl. Morally ambiguous. Solitary. Traumatized. Would die for Shadow (he would never allow it).
Princess Pixie Victory Screamer: an eight-year-old girl who wants nothing more than to be a T-rex when she grows up. Some people shorten her name to Pixie. Scythe shortens it to Screamer.
Ardanath – I waffled about whether to mention this one, both because of the subject matter and also because she’s only been around for like a week and I don’t know if she’ll stick, but by all metrics she’s the oc I’ve most recently been rotating in my mind, so.
Ardanath is a princess whose mother (a local morally ambiguous overlord) was murdered by a rival evil overlord, who then kidnapped Ardanath and made her marry him. Honestly, she wasnt supposed to be on this list; she was an npc in a solo ttrpg I played about one of her mother’s warriors (and Ardanath’s father) trying to save her and I was planning to move on from this scenario afterwards but then he failed, and DIED, and it was very upsetting, and I couldn’t just LEAVE her like that she deserves closure. And revenge.
It’s gonna be a rough next couple of years for her, but she will endure, reject her affinity for spring and fertility and instead become the avatar of autumn, death, and decay, murder a bunch of her children (i know she leaves at least one of them alive), resurrect her father as an undead thrall because he would be a loyal and reliable source of eternal servitude, get her revenge, and become an evil overlord in her own right, just like her parents always wanted her to be.
I don’t know if it would be pragmatic for her to make her husband suffer before he dies but I hope she gets to.
Wrath – this one is hard to explain because in helping a friend develop their oc I found my interpretation of the premise so compelling i stole her to make in my own image but since I stripped out all the lore and havent filled in anything new I don’t... know how she gets here.
I know she’s basically a rogue lab experiment (I don’t know who made her or why), named herself Wrath (I don’t know why she’s angry), and has some specific form of magic that erodes her sanity and sense of self if mismanaged (I don’t know what the magic actually does but it was mismanaged). One of the people who contributed to her creation is a wizard who had the same magic as her but he left the project ages ago, tbd to what extent his participation was voluntary and fully-informed, if he knows she exists and how she was treated, etc.
idk I just think it would be funny if she just randomly shows up in this guy's house, covered in blood and like 70% sane on a good day, and wants his help with this one thing and isnt interested in any deeper relationship, and this is how he finds out she exists.
They will eventually found family each other but she already has a found family and isn’t interested in being daughtered so it’s one-sided at first. She keeps disappearing for weeks or months at a time and he keeps trying to delicately ask where she goes (elsewhere) and what she’s doing (crime) and if anyone is looking out for her (other, equally dysfunctional escaped lab experiments) and whose blood is that anyway (hers, now) and she keeps getting bored with his concerns and wandering off to go kill someone. I love her.

Trickery in Toyland: SHE
Tumblr media
SHE
Tumblr media
“It’syouit’syouit’syouit’syouit’syouit’syouit’syouit’syouit’syou--,”
“It’s me. Was I missed?”
“I am never letting you out of my sight again.”
“Not digging how close that is to ‘not a lie.’ But still. Missed you too, you dork.“
Tumblr media
“Norns’ sake, Verity, where have you been!? I tore myself into half a dozen Coping Lokis to take care of the crap plots (TM) the universe has been throwing around of late just so I’d have time to hunt you down! Where were you?”
“The way it was explained to me was that there was some magical snafu that snagged me while we were exiting the Margin Space Outside of Everything. You, being all godly, didn’t get towed along. Me, being a soul only recently popped back into a mortal body, got hooked. Goodbye, Verity.”
Tumblr media
“Verity, who do you mean? Who told you this?”
“Uh, well. If we want to be technical...”
Tumblr media
“...you. I would never have made it back here without your help.”
“How do you mean?”
“Promise you won’t get mad.”
“?”
“Promise.”
“I promise I won’t get mad.”
“Good.”
Tumblr media
“You can come out now!”
Tumblr media
“Hi, Verity.”
“Hi, Loki. You see, I kind of got lost down a few parallel universe back alleys and they--,”
Tumblr media
“Nope.”
“Loki, you promised.”
“I’m not mad, just very understandably hesitant about trusting any me that is not me. And even then it’s iffy.”
Tumblr media
“Loki, seriously, it’s alright. They’ve been helping me trek back here.”
“And what, you adopted them along the way? Founded the shelter for Lost Lokis? A group of Lokis in one place is asking for disaster.”
Tumblr media
“Excuse you, hipster viking, but a group of Lokis is already a disaster. Even one is a calamity.”
Tumblr media
“In most cases. But not when it comes to Verity.”
Tumblr media
“Much as it pains us to admit it, Ms. Willis is either a platonic enchantress the like of which Amora could not match--”
Tumblr media
“--or Verity Willis is simply a multiversal Best Friend to Loki regardless of dimension.”
“Yeah, it’s that. If I had magical friendship powers, I’d have more than five people in my contacts. But the point stands: these Lokis helped get me home. These Lokis are my friends. If there’s a chance that connection can spark a change in them that’s half as powerful as the change that happened for you, I’m willing to trust them.”
“Verity, you should never trust a Loki. I should know.”
“You don’t have to believe someone to trust them and have that trust pay off. I should know.”
“Ugh, you’re really going to go full Squirrel Girl on me. Fine.”
One Dragging Grimgritty Fantasy Filibuster Later
Tumblr media
“Hello, my dear. Ms. Verity Willis, I believe? Daughter of certain other more legendary Willises? I do apologize for not meeting with you sooner. Died recently. But who stays dead these days?”
Tumblr media
“Even a mortal such as yourself has a chance! Norns know Loki will certainly take a crack at resurrecting you once he finds your pieces. Before you say anything, I know, I know, dismembering the loved one is such a cliche, but can you really blame me? Between my recently NC-17ized revamp and being able to fulfill two vendettas in one kill? That’s three birds with one sword!”
Tumblr media
“I do hope you won’t take any personal offense over this business. Take it up with your grandfather once you get to what’s left of Hel.”
Tumblr media
“Oh! Loki, there you are. I’d heard you tapewyrmed your way out of your father’s guts. Stomach acid has done wonders for your looks. I suppose we must postpone the slaughter for some sad game of keep-away with your mortal maiden fair--,”
Tumblr media
“And here’s another! I don’t recall this one being in your identity crisis menagerie, Loki. Branching out?”
Tumblr media
“Ha! Ha ha ha oh my gods what are those!? They’re precious! I might have them brought to a taxidermist and keep them for home decor. Ha ha h--!”
Tumblr media
“--a. So that’s--that’s, what, nine little tricksters in all? Why, you might even put up a decent fight with that many. You, ah--,”
Tumblr media
“Um.”
Tumblr media
“You know what, I just recalled I have an appointment with my fantasy hairdresser. I suppose we’ll have to postpone--,”
Tumblr media
“--*”
Meanwhile, Far out of Earshot
Tumblr media
“Fantastic to see you again, Verity. Loki was unhinged more than usual with you gone.”
“So I’ve heard. What all have you been up to?”
“Eh, one measly cameo with Sigurd in some forgettable comic about Hercules and company. I think we’re doing the antihero bit these days.”
“At least you get to show up.”
“True. Shall we head out?”
“Shouldn’t we wait for Loki?”
“Oh, she called. Said she was busy with a murder.”
“What?”
“The murder, I mean. Of Lokis. Because of the magpie thing. They’re corvids. That kind of murder.”
“I don’t like that you’re not lying.”
“Are you bothered enough by it to skip the cafe?”
“...Unfortunately, no.”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S1E11 impressions
The scene at the beginning... first, those people never saw a roomba in their life, second, that guy deserved to be caught just for not remembering a basic safety procedure: do not take the elevator if you are in an emergency situation. Odds are it would make things worse for you.
It was awesome to see the whole team working together to find Coulson.
I share Fitz’s enthusiasm about agent Hand. I love her highlights, but that’s the only thing I actually like about her.
What can I say? I loved Skye on this episode. She has been growing on me lately. Her impersonating May was the funniest thing, she got the job done excellently, she finally learned the maneuvre Ward tried so hard to teach her and she was so reluctant to learn at first... Everything to find Coulson, because he shew genuine kindness to her and she now cares about him. The top moment, though, was she telling the random SHIELD agent “Don’t touch Lola”. Ah, and punching Raina afterwards. That was highly satisfactory. IT FELT REAL GOOD, WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY DO IT. Getting the cuff off at the end of the episode was the right payoff of her efforts to redeem herself. It was real sweet. I hope their relationship does not get strained when she finds out Coulson and May have been keeping the truth from her. Judging for how upset Coulson was that SHIELD had been keeping the intel about Tahiti from him... I doubt it will take long, but one never really knows.
Speaking of Coulson, his faith in his team is... I have no words. How he repeated again and again that his team would find him. My heart. He resisted all he could, temptation got the best of him at the end, but... it was tough. The references to the cellist... :( Btw, I had not caught that the “It’s a magical place” phrase was an ingrained response programmed into his brain. That’s all kinds of wrong.
The Clairvoyant stuff is real weird. Do they actually see stuff, or is it that they have informants everywhere? Is the Clairvoyant related to HYDRA? In any case, it is not consistent. Coulson is not the only one who knows about Tahiti, everyone that was involved with that project, the doctor, for example, would be able to tell about it more easily than him. And if the Clairvoyant can see in amy organization and people, the things that are in their consciences, then... yeah, it was pretty stupid to try get the information in the hardest way possible.
The abandoned town was creepy, but there’s no way everything stood like that for decades in the middle of a desert. Nope.
“Nice jacket”
“Bet there aren’t any flower dresses where she’s going”
“Amen to that, sister”
The reunion with Coulson was calling for a group hug. Group hugs are good, and underrated. Bring them back. Hug, people, hug it out. you need it.
So... Tahiti. The whole thing doesn’t add up to me. Like, yeah, I know, suspension of disbelief and everything, but you cannot stay dead for days. Even if they found a way to revive you after an hour, the neurological damage would be too severe to become functional again. And you cannot have a will to leave and lose it if you are dead. And there’s such a thing as a pain threshold. The pain of keeping him alive, once resurrected, if they actually stimulated his brain electrically since moment 1, would have killed him anyways. Also, they could have sent him to actual Tahiti afterwards, to make the memories more realistic and fused to the fake ones. I don’t know. Somehow I was expecting to find that AoS Coulson was a clone of Original Flavor Coulson™, but it seems like he’s not.
And Peterson is not dead, but he’s been captured by Centipede and has the bomb eye implanted. Also, that’s not how you treat burns. Poor guy cannot catch a break. Let’s hope he gets rescued.
