He is amazing at taking the lemons of life and making lemonade. • God is good and He loves us ❤️ Btw, this is the correct translation of this verse. • Some translations say “all things work for good” which we know many things do not work for good, like murder, rape, etc. God does not do these things, free willed human being do. • However, God can take the lemons of life and make lemonade. (Psalm 23: 6) Using your faith to claim you’re blessed is just as important as using your faith to claim you’re healed or delivered. We are not supposed to wait until we’re blessed to use faith, we’re supposed to use faith until we’re blessed and beyond, even in difficult times. Although faith is not a topic covered much in the Old Testament, in the verse above, David is using his faith in God to declare that he would be blessed all his days - “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life”. “Surely” - without any doubt. I don’t know how old David was when he made this faith declaration, but he declared that it would cover his entire lifetime. Even though he would face many battles in his lifetime, he declared he would still be blessed! He knew no battle would overtake him because God was with him. “Through You we push back our enemies; through Your name we trample our foes.” (Psalm 44:5) David life shows us that the presence of a battle doesn’t mean the absence of God. That is also true for our lives as well! Even in the battle we should lift God up, not the battle! We should confess that we’re blessed, not defeated! Our confessions during hardtimes can make hardtimes even harder if they are the wrong confession and keeping our mouth closed is just as bad because it’s the gateway that frustration and aggravation uses to overwhelm us. Just because you’re waiting doesn’t mean you’re not blessed yet! Just because you’re going through a storm doesn’t mean you’re not blessed yet! So don’t wait until times meet your requirements to start to claim your blessed, step out in faith and claim you’re blessed now! That pleases the Almighty!
