Remember in Big Dragon when

Mangkorn got the internship in New York, and he was going to turn it down without even telling Yai, but Yai saw it on Mangkorn's phone, so Yai showed Mangkorn the phone and asked what it was about and was clearly hurt that Mangkorn lied.

But Mangkorn told him that he didn't want to go because he wanted to stay with Yai. Mangkorn wanted to run away from his family, but he was ready to face them, so if Yai didn't want him to go, he was going to turn it down, but Yai immediately told Mangkorn that he WAS going, and Mangkorn told him he would have to leave at the end of the month, and Yai was like 'cool, cool, cool' when it was obviously not cool.

So Mangkorn asked Yai to move with him, and Yai said no because he still needed to work on his life IN Thailand, but he told Mangkorn that Mangkorn's dream was Yai's happiness WHILE HE WAS TRYING NOT TO BREAKDOWN!

And Mangkorn thought Yai was being so cold about it because if Yai felt the way about him that Mangkorn felt about Yai, he would want Mangkorn to stay, and Yai was like, "I like you so much that I want this for you so have fun in New York!" And Mangkorn was worried about Yai but Yai told him he was okay now.

So Yai then started working on his relationship with his father and came to terms with his mother's death. We finally saw that his dad wasn't the big baddie, but just a guy who lost his wife and had to take care of his two young kids while grieving that loss.

And the dad's little talk at the mom's grave helped Yai see that even if Mangkorn was going abroad, he still needed to fight for his love.

Then we saw Mangkorn packing up all his stuff and CRYING OVER THE DRAGON HE WON FOR YAI!

So he kept reaching out to Yai begging to see him before he left, and Yai actually did and met Mangkorn at Mangkorn's favorite spot where they first became friends.

And Mangkorn apologized saying it was all his fault and Yai should be mad that he lied, but Yai said he wasn't mad, and that Mangkorn made him a better person which is why he wanted the best for Mangkorn, and they held hands, and BOTH WERE STILL WEARING THE MATCHING BRACELETS!

THEN THEY HUGGED AND KISSED!

And Yai went to Mangkorn's house and collected their treasured items, like the dragon plushie, and watched the video they made together on their date, and cried just like Mangkorn did.

So even though Mangkorn got on that plane to fulfill his dream, he messaged his man all the damn time, and Yai sent him videos and we saw this happening FOR MONTHS because THEY WERE STILL IN LOVE!

And even when we thought another man was trying to swoop in and take Yai by giving him flowers every month, it was actually Mangkorn sending the flowers that meant something to Yai because he wanted Yai to know he was loved but knew Yai was stubborn!

So when Yai's big day came, Mangkorn returned to Thailand to be there for it, and gave Yai that month's flowers himself.

Then they went back to the same spot they said goodbye, and Mangkorn said he was staying in Thailand because he was quitting school, he was going to tell his family that he wasn't entering the arranged marriage, and he would start applying for jobs, and Yai told him he was NOT staying because Yai was going back with him to New York to finish school and live his dream.

And they watched the sunset rise!

While holding hands with the same bracelets on!

Because I remember that.

And that's why I think some of y'all need to go back and put some respect on my favorite's name!

so once me and my wife were watching a documentary where a snake ate like a million eggs. that snake just went to fucking town on eggs. and the snake made the eggs look so good that i kept thinking about it, and thinking about it, and thinking about it, and eventually it was 11pm and i ran out of willpower and decided to eat one (1) singular raw egg just to prove to myself that the snake was surely a liar.

the snake was not a liar. texture is like, super important to me and raw eggs are very Texture so i had another one, and then another one, and then another one, and eventually i ran out of eggs.

i had like, fifteen raw eggs.

i didnt really know how to explain this momentary madness to my wife, so my Plan was to put all the eggshells into a grocey bag, and then throw that grocery bag in the dumpster, and if she never noticed that would be Excellent and if she noticed immediately i could lie and say that the eggs went bad.

except i cant lie very good, and of course with murphys law being such, i got salmonella.

so i threw up a lot and my wife asked me what poisoned me so and i tried very hard to dodge the question but i was oozing shame like oil from a room temperature cheese and eventaully i gave in and told her everything and to her enormous credit she was more flabbergasted than actually upset. she did make me promise to not eat any more raw eggs, which i have stuck to, and she gives me weird looks during nature documentaries now as if desire was the only thing keeping me from eating thousands of pounds of krill anyway i made a joke earlier about being able to eat my age in eggs and my sister in law in law made a drawing to comemorate the moment and also because it was my birthday. she's excellent. thank you 10000000% @cintailed. you should all visit her page and admire her work.

it's extremely critical that you see the photo of the perp walk for luigi mangione as being propaganda. i've seen so many people wave it off and instead fawn over his looks. and trust me, i know it ended up being kind of pathetic and weird - but please don't brush it off as a "modelling opportunity" for him. it's a fucking terrifying message the police are sending.

i want to make a few comparisons here, in case you're not from the US or familiar with why the perp walk thing is something to pay attention to. just to set the groundwork for why this is a purposeful, unusual, and cruel act by the nyc police - for why this is not a common occurrence and for why that matters.

the prosecution alleges the show of force is due to the charge of "terrorism." for comparison, in june 2015, tsarnaev was found guilty for the boston marathon bombing, which killed 3 people and injured hundreds. his actions are considered to be an act of domestic terrorism. i have spent the last hour looking through google for pictures of similar to mangione's perp walk - and so far, i have found zero. i also just do not personally remember a moment like that, despite living in boston at the time.

they allege that luigi is a stone-cold killer who carried out a longterm plan, making him particularly dangerous. again for comparison: in nyc, recently cory martin was found guilty of the killing of brandy odom. the murder was planned and premeditated to steal insurance money. and yet no staged perp walk. why didn't her life matter enough for a "show of force"?

but mangione gets paraded by a veritable army of police officers as if he is a rabid animal. for a single citizen who allegedly killed one other single citizen, the "largest perp walk ever" occurs.

so what is the "strong message" that the mayor and the police were trying to send here? the mayor speaks as if mangione is already convicted of terrorism. there is a very thin number of people who feel threatened by the CEO's death. none of us felt like mangione needs to be under massive armed guard.

the message is that you shouldn't resist. they are trying to "make an example" of him - that if you behave badly and kill a single rich person, you'll be treated as if you killed hundreds of people. you will be treated worse than a man who was found guilty of terrorism. you will be considered guilty without trial. the message is that the rich are a protected class, and you cannot touch them without massive punishment. they are trying to prevent a revolution by showing dominance and force against you.

the message is that the police are a puppet of the wealthy and that the law is not equally applied across class disparity. it is "some are more equal than others." it is "one life is more precious than another."

the show of force wasn't for luigi. it was for us. it was a warning. they are trying to remind us who is really in control.
