YES! Matt's John is completely different to JDM's version of it. And then Drake and Matt's versions are obviously different from each other as well, which makes things so much more interesting and sad. Clearly there was a time where he could've been a good guy and a good father but things happened that turned him into the "monster" we met him as. It's all so much more sad when you think about it
