ive been a vaguely transmasc version of genderqueer for almost four years now but after employing a few changes to what i can control about the way people refer to me as well as certain stuff in the way i think about myself then living with it for a while, i think i like the idea of agenderism

#it's hard to explain‚ like when if gender ever not #but i think ive completely sapped the idea of gender out of everything for me generally #at my last psychiatrist appointment‚ i referenced the idea that i don't meet a lot of standards of femininity across the board socially #and she said‚ “i would've never guessed that‚” and sort of gestured to what i was wearing (i posted a photo a few days ago) and i came home #and realised that yeah it's an objectively feminine presentation from a binary pov but i didn't think of it as feminine #and i get the same way when i dress more 'masculinely' too. as in‚ i'll get comments about being a lesbian or whatever #(indicative that the person perceiving you is seeing you as crossing the line Too Much) and i'd have never thought of it that way lol #it's like yeah i do purposely attempt to be perceived as more masculine sometimes but mostly i just don't care!#im not a woman‚ im not a man‚ im not nonbinary‚ and i don't think of myself as crossing boundaries specifically!#it's so hard to get across what i'm thinking. but one of my favourite tiktokers is called 'special jenny :D'#and she's autistic. whenever she's asked about how she'd like to be referred to it's usually 'just jenny!' and it's literally exactly that!#i think the way she presents. as like obviously presenting one way but you can tell they're sno intent to be #indicative of Anything at all is exactly what i identity with too #and like this alone is intentionally subversion yes and i like that as a purposeful part of my identity but i mean #that the natural feeling of Being isn't specifically to do so. kind like how sam winchester going to college was a genuine #and earnest want of his but it became an act of rebellion due to its perception and what it awarded him over time #he/they in a bottle...#&

"Saturdays by Twin Shadow (feat. HAIM)" is how I've mentally started every post I've made here on a Saturday for the past however many years that song's been out.

I decided I needed bath bombs so I set out to do that and only realized my error when I saw the traffic control person as soon as I turned into the mall. On the Saturday before Christmas. lol

My upstairs neighbor moved out a month ago so I no longer hear about their sex life through my ceiling. My next door neighbor moved out last week so I no longer have to wear my active noise cancelling earplugs to muffle their snoring. It’s quieter around here, but the hot water takes longer to find my tap in the morning.

I deleted a whole chapter about that computer case. You’re welcome.

Never did end up doing Christmas cards this year. I’ve got mixed feelings about that.

I want to do a bunch of dumb end of year data analysis things, but I have to pull a bunch of data to do it, and that’ll take me like a dozen minutes, and that's like a dozen minutes that I could spend not doing that thing. You see my dilemma. Stay tuned, I guess?

I’m the only one on my team not scheduled off on Monday and I think Tuesday next week (and, actually, most of the next 2 weeks). It’s easy enough to keep Teams active and my work email open while I tinker on side quests.

The checkout person at LUSH is always like “oh, are these a gift?” as I unload 9 bath bombs from my basket, as if they don't get many solo middle aged dudes stocking up on bath bombs on Saturday afternoons.

Turns out I miscounted and have 1 too many bath bombs so I’m taking a bath about it.

#that first line was going to be the whole post 🤷‍♂️#I intentionally don’t schedule these 2 weeks off so that I can provide coverage while folks spend time doing family stuff #the property management company lowered the asking rent by $150/mo on the longest-vacant units and they're still not finding any takers #that dude next door S N O R E D so freaking loud #like me wearing regular ear plugs NEXT DOOR weren't enough!!#this week i learned about sleeper computers and that generic family computers from like 25 years ago are going for $200+ on ebay #i do enjoy pulling data from web apis so maybe i'll do that next week instead of whatever i should be doing for work #unrelated: i hate when the definition of a word is a different form of the word #like indulgence is the act of indulging and indulging is the past participle of indulge and i have to look up 3 words to confirm what i kno #you're a computer just figure out what i want and tell me the answer!

Hey man, I saw your comment about getting tattoos *after* you convert and I wanted to give you a few thoughts.

(Please note: this is not meant to be mean or dismissive, just... an additional perspective)

The Idea that HaShem would be ok with something that is forbidden because it is done out of love for HaShem is flawed.

It kind of is an influence from the Christian view of God, wherein belief and intent is often as if not more important than action.

While HaShem would understand that you are doing it out of love, that doesn't make it not a violation of the commandment.

A practically perfect example is Samuel 1, Chap 15: Wherein Saul is commanded to destroy all of Amalek, incluiding all the animals.

He saves the best animals to Sacrifice to HaShem, HaShem is ticked off, and the prophet goes and says, "Hey, why didn't you do what you were told?" Saul goes, "I did, I killed everyone and destroyed their stuff." Samuel replies, "Then why the fuck can I hear goats?" Saul says "Well, I saved the best as a sacrifice for HaShem. Obviously G-d will be ok with it." Samuel replies: "Yeah, no. Is a sacrifice as important as obedience to what HaShem says? no it is not."

And as a result of this Saul's line loses Kingship.

And, tbh, it is a fairly one-to-one for your situation (well, except the kingship bit, but that can be a stand in for any consequences).

If you want to get tattoos, it is far better to get them before you finish the conversion process, such that you will not be violating any laws.

This isn't meant to be preachy, though I know it comes off as such, but if you do believe in the religion, this is something you ought to consider.

Sure, and I have considered all of that. While I said I was thinking heavily about it, it's just that I think heavily about a lot of things that I often don't go through with.

#Mmmmmmhhhh.#Well. If anything you can always tell when there's a ss/kk episode by the fact that it takes me two hours to watch it lol #What can I say. I'm a compulsive screencap taker #Mmmmmmhhh... I was right it wasn't as bad as I remembered it. Still moderately bad but not all bad.#It's just. I can feel the animators did their best.#I suppose it's just a difficult episode to animate within a short time frame since it's a specifically action packed one.#And the lack of time really shows. Like there *are* some detailed animated passages here and there. But then there's also these long static #shots that stretch on forever that are just... Idk. A little saddening to see I guess? Like the animators really ran out of time for them #There's also a big component of... I just can't vibe with the newfound artstyle. Like it looks soooo much worse than s1 in my opinion #Which you know‚ is only subjective! But eh... The distance between s2ep11 and this feels abyssal.#Everyone looks so ugly oftentimes. Like even in curated shots‚ they're just very rough and ungraceful.#Which like?? How could you look at Harukawa's art and come up with //that//??????? But it's whatever #And the pacing is so so off 😭😭😭 God please to death with 11 episodes long seasons give us filler episodes back.
