I am feeling ✨ delightfully spicy ✨ this evening.

So many red flags were floating around like the Metatron’s head about this guy I was talking to before tonight’s nonsense.

Anyway —

It’s Thanksgiving. I worked all day. It was exceptionally busy. I went the entire day without replying to said guy’s text messages. He later became accusatory and said “it’s not like me to not reply, even when it’s busy” and assumed “I’ve been drinking and/or was drunk” among a slew of other lovely comments.

He was angry that I actually was too busy to reply to him, so his nonsense continued. My energy right now is a bit not good.

I felt rather obligated to claim that yes, it is in fact like me to go an entire day without responding to messages. Sometimes I forget to respond until the next day because I’m busy quite often. I explained to him that this was not going to work out for us.

He’s heavily implied that he’s racist and homophobic, and neither of those things sit right with me. In addition to that, I didn’t appreciate the verbal abuse, but he also — I’ve recently learned — has enough of a violent side that he almost ended up in jail this evening.

I’ve been having a ✨ GREAT ✨ time. 🤣

it's all about having *more* people than strictly absolutely 100% necessary. And there are plenty of people... the employment shortage is not a shortage of willing employees. It is a shortage of willing employers (to offer fair wages and hours and things like human decency) in the face of endless profit.

6 hour workday maximum i’m not kidding, if it can’t be done in that timeframe it doesn’t need doing.

Brain Curd #1

I am entirely disconnected from my creative energy, so here’s my attempt to write something crap on purpose. It’s supposed to be a good exercise. Enjoy.

Bob was a man, probably, who owned a pet store. He didn’t spend a lot of time there, though, because he was a capitalist type who doesn’t actually do anything. He woke up one morning, and went back to sleep. Then he woke up again. But Bob was lazy so he went back to sleep another time. He woke up again that afternoon and decided it was time for brunch.

He rang the bell on his nightstand to alert the kitchen staff. It was time! All hands on deck! Bob wanted an omelet! But what Bob didn’t realize was that his kitchen staff had recently read Das Kapital and they were sick of his bullshit. Also, Bob was an egg. So they made the collective and communist decision to eat the rich. Though Bob’s name wasn’t Rich (it was Bob), they broke down his door and cracked him into a Pyrex measuring cup with a splash of milk and some salt and pepper.

Sadly, one of the cooks dropped the cup and it shattered everywhere because it was new Pyrex instead of the old stuff. So they had to use eggs from the walk-in refrigerator instead. They cooked up a wonderful omelet with peppers, onions, shredded cheese, and Bob’s wedding ring also even though it’s not edible. It was just a fun surprise to have in there. The staff decided whoever choked on it would have to pay for the next one.

But as they passed the plate around, everyone realized they weren’t even hungry since they had a late potluck dinner the night before. So the omelet went to waste. Quite a shame. In the end, Bob made a full recovery and donated his net worth to the ASPCA, which I think is that pet advocacy organization with the sad commercials. I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

Have debilitating cognitive problems

Are depressed

Have emotions that aren't aesthetically pleasing

Don't know healthy coping mechanisms

Have a different view of social norms

Struggle with relationships

Do actions that for you are "obviously purposefully evil"

Explain the thought process behind their actions, not excuse them

Have trauma that just by existing doesn't invalidate yours but somehow that thought scares you

It's almost like you don't support Cluster B, hm.
