Also, @theverumproject has an AWESOME interview where theu ask their protagonist a bunch of questions, and it's really cool! I used the same Qs for Vulpin's interview.

But you will get such an awesome view of your character by asking them these questions, and it will help you determine different things as the story goes on

you WILL be so much happier if you know these things ahead of time

ALSO, if you think it's silly, then YOU ARE NOT WRITING CORRECTLY! You should be able to be unserious with your characters, just as much as you should be able to be unserious. Sometimes, the characters need to be memed on. Your readers will probably meme on your characters, and be silly with your characters. Get ahead of it! Be silly! Be whacky! Make inside jokes! Tell your OCs "Fuck you for no reason!"

By no means am I saying if you are writing a serious story, don't take it seriously. Do that too! There's this cool thing called balance. You should try it. Serious characters have merit, whacky characters have merit, but don't get so caught up in the characters being serious that they can't be a little silly.

What was the point of this again? Oh yeah. If you think your being silly when doing weird writing shit, like talking to your characters, then fucking embrace it. You will be so happy!

When I first released Vul to my friends, they took her seriously, but they also memed on her! They joked about her! Sometimes burned or insulted her! People are gonna do that, but IT IS NOT necessary a bad thing! That's just how some audiences are. I realized, "Wait, they're actually kinda funny." Even if imaging yourself talking to your OCs seems silly, it's actually REALLY fun, and you'll get some great insight. Yes it's weird, but your a fucking writer. Your weird. It's cool. We're all weird here. I'm probably not totally sane. It's cool. Be crazy. Be silly. It's interesting.

genuinely can i ask why you're so against people viewing eddie through a woman coded lense and finding it interesting to compare his own experiences traits and storylines with other female chracters? seeing as you yourself speak frequently about your headcanon for how much "buck diaz" wants to be eddie's submissive housewife who grows a magic womb and gives him tons of miracle babies or whatever and a lot of people use buck liking cooking/ wanting children/being emotional as evidence for this (which what the hell, sure) id thought you'd be open to the feminization of eddie the same way so many people for years have been feminizing buck. the only difference between the two is i see buck feminized more with sexual connotations while eddie's feminization comes from a more societal and familial analysis i think which don't get me wrong both have their heteronormative moments (single parent (which like it or not is most often applied to female characters)/eldest "daughter" parentification/denying himself what he wants etc are the arguments i most see for eddie) not trying to start a fight i just am curious about why you feel one's ok and not the other cause gotta be honest your vehement reaction to this kinda gave me a bad taste in my mouth considering how passionate you are about your headcanon of eddie being this macho dom top which im sure some people also feel is a gross mischaracterization as strongly as you feel about this like,, long story short i guess im just saying let people enjoy things! lol

i think woman coded is stupid as an actual character/tv analysis 😭😭 if someone said buck was woman coded id fucking laugh too because it’s not actually a useful way to analyze his character whatsoever and genuinely have you ever seen me make this claim in earnest for buck? because i don’t do that, ESPECIALLY not citing the reasons you included here, and i also don’t write him as a submissive housewife in my serious creative work.

as you pointed out yourself for eddie it comes from “societal”/“family” which to me feels obnoxious because the ENTIRE point of eddie’s character and specifically his relationship to fatherhood is that he is a man who’s raising his son in a way that he wasn’t allowed from his own father. people yell so much about eddie’s toxic masculinity or his relationship to masculinity or whatever but in the face of choices he makes/ways he behaves that are in active opposition to those kinds of ideals the response is “ok so this means he’s being coded as a woman” … not to mention the flip side of this seems to be a way of looking at SHANNON that’s patently ridiculous considering that her entire story (what we have been allowed of it) is specifically tied up in motherhood, her feelings of failing as a mother, etc. viewing these canon storylines in this way and making claims about these characters like that is patently different from a widespread half-joke about how getting struck by lightning made buck impregnable… i’m sure you see that?

like i know she did NOT try to turn his death into a lesson for gar and conner???? like what the actual fuck man. he literally tried to kill himself the season prior and you guys offered him no help, just antagonized him and treated him like absolute shit.

like, yes bro was bratty but nobody even cared to ask why? or to talk to bruce about it, to try to train it out of him, to offer him fucking therapy (i'm very aware he'd say no to this but its the thought that counts). but nope. just, don't let that happen to you.

as if that wasn't gars friend?? as if jason and gar weren't close? conner and jason, yeah, sure, fine. he probably didn't grieve a lot over him, they barely knew each other. but jason and gar? they got along.

and then the writers turning him absolutely evil was an insane option but, fine. killing hank for no reason other than the fact that he can? killing dick grayson? okay, go big or go home i guess (completely ignore the fact that jason only killed those who 'deserved' it (committed pretty serious crimes)).

to make matters worse, they didn't even stick to evil jason! they had a shitty somewhat-redeption arc at the end of the season (where jason gives them the code) and then the next season tim becomes fucking robin and he's okay with it?? he's??? fine??? with??? it???

even in titans, when jason started out he fucking loved robin. he was so excited to run around with robin dick grayson. jason died in that suit. yes he was being reckless, yes it wasn't a good instinct to go after the joker alone. but he was inexperienced. if bruce wants to have teenagers running around in suits he needs to properly teach them what they're doing before he allows them to leave in the green tights.

jason wouldn't train tim. not to be a part of a team that almost drove him to commit suicide, not to parade around in the same colors he died in. he'd probably beat the shit out of tim for doing that because tim knows the gist of what happened to him and he still wants to wear the green panties.

and if not then he'd just leave him alone, he wouldn't train the little shit to go out and wear those colors. maybe advise him to be something else because robins tend to have a short life span (both him and dick died in this universe and were then revived).

so, yeah, jason todd was immensely flawed in titans (reminded me of damian wayne in a way, actually) but he did not--in no way--deserve that treatment from the people meant to be his friends/mentors (rachel, kori, dick, bruce), and the the way these people treated him CAUSED his evil character arc. yes, i will die on this hill.

and GOD, don't even get me started on how badly they fucked up tim's character.

I think it's really funny but also really frustrating how liu mingyan (a really great but also unfortunately really minor character) has a named sword over shang qinghua (a fairly major character with FOUR extras all to himself) .... maybe i am just too obsessed with weaponry but idk it's kinda sad 🙁🙁🙁🙁 like even if he doesn't use it he should still have one because if we go off mdzs logic it's rude not to bring a sword to conferences and gatherings and shit ..... like i know he's the mousy little boy archetype but Stilllllll😭😭😭😭 hes a Peak Lord and i'm sure if the scholarly peak have to learn how to fight then so does logistics...

Anyway forgive me for using genshin as an example but i feel like his sword would kind of look like a mix between the silver sword (unsheathed) and bichen from the mdzs donghua (sheathed)...? i think it would have a gem on the tip wheee rhe black part of the silver sword is and also a white line going through the middle though.... i also think the handle detail would be like suihua but have patterns like bichen.... the bottom of suihuas handle is definegly how i imagine it though and his tassel and sheath would be white-yellow gradient with some yellow embroidered square connected to it as a homage to his psyduck keychain from the modern day. i think his sheath would also have some sort of design going down it?

i think before he met mobei jun it was really disgustingly dusty but after he met him mobei started judging him for his disgusting ass sword... one of them gave him a scary look so he reconciled that pretty fast afterwards LOLLLL and then when he shows yuan he's probably like Man it's so clean and qinghuas like don't fucking start and yuans like No i'm fr you fucking idiot and qinghuas like Oh wow thanks man and then starts traumadumping about the evil look mobei gave him LOLLLLLL

THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICED WHEN YOU WOKE UP was the relentless pounding in your head, like the echo of a distant storm. Your vision blurred, and the world around you seemed to spin, making it difficult to focus on anything. You felt disoriented, a strange fog clouding your mind. The last twenty-four hours were a mystery, a blank canvas with no clues to help you remember what had transpired.

As your eyes began to adjust to the dim light, you realized you were in an unfamiliar environment. You glanced around, trying to make sense of your surroundings. The seats were lined up in rows, with modest cushions and overhead storage compartments. It dawned on you that you were in the economy class of a train. How had you ended up here?

In front of you, two men caught your attention. One was dangerously handsome, with a cheesy mustache that seemed out of place on his otherwise striking face. The other man, who sat directly across from you, had a more rugged appearance. Both men looked at you with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"Where am I?" you asked, your voice shaky as you switched your gaze between the two men. The headache that plagued you made it hard to think clearly, and you could hardly process what was happening.

"Don't worry, you're safe now," the man next to you said reassuringly. "Your father sent us." His words hung in the air, and you couldn't help but roll your eyes at the mention of your father. It had been years since you last saw him. He had never shown any interest in your life, so why was he suddenly so concerned?

The man beside you continued, "I'm Tangerine. He's Lemon," he introduced themselves, his voice carrying a catchy British accent.

You stared at him, baffled by the unusual names. Was this some sort of joke? "Like the fruit?" you asked, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips despite the absurdity of the situation.

Lemon, as he was called, shot an annoyed look at Tangerine before addressing you. "You ever watched Thomas the Tank Engine?" he inquired, his tone serious.

"Here we go again," Tangerine muttered, clearly exasperated.

You raised an eyebrow, intrigued and slightly amused. These men seemed like a pair of peculiar characters, and you couldn't help but wonder what kind of weirdos had kidnapped you. "Everything I learned about people, I learned from Thomas," Lemon explained, pulling a sheet of stickers from his pocket and holding them up for you to see.

"Look at Tangerine. He's Gordon," Lemon said, pointing to a blue train on the sticker sheet. You listened, even though you didn't understand a word. You didn't want to interrupt him. "Gordon is the strongest, the most important," Lemon continued, glancing at Tangerine, "but he doesn't always listen to others."

Lemon began to describe other characters as people, his passion for the subject evident. "Some people are diesels," he said, his lips curling in disgust, "Fuck em."

He turned his attention to you, studying you intently. "You, though," he paused, considering his words carefully, "You seem like a Percy," he concluded, selecting a sticker from the sheet. "Young and sweet." Lemon leaned across the table, gently placing the sticker on your forehead.

You chuckled sarcastically, "I think this would suit you better," you said, removing the sticker from your forehead and handing it to Tangerine.

You wanted to get up, hoping to go to the toilet and possibly find a way to get out of there. As you started to rise, Tangerine grabbed you by the wrist, his touch gentle yet firm. “Where do you think you are going, love?” he asked, his voice both casual and authoritative. Your heart pounded at the contact, and the nickname he used sent a shiver down your spine.

“To the toilet?” you replied with a smile, trying to sound casual. His raised eyebrows told you he wasn’t buying it. “I’m going with you,” he said firmly.

You laughed a bit, trying to lighten the mood. “I think I can manage going to the toilet on my own.”

“I’m paid to look after you,” he reminded you, his expression serious. You rolled your eyes, feeling a mix of frustration and amusement.

Tangerine's grip on your wrist loosened slightly, but he didn’t let go. “I don’t want your daddy to murder me so you’re coming with me,” he insisted.

You sighed, realizing there was no way you were getting out of this one. “Fine,” you said, trying to mask your irritation. “Let’s go then.”

With Tangerine still holding onto your wrist, you made your way through the train carriage. Lemon watched the two of you with a smirk, clearly amused by the situation. As you passed by other passengers, you couldn’t help but feel a bit self-conscious, but Tangerine’s unwavering presence beside you provided a strange sense of comfort.

As you reached the small, cramped bathroom, Tangerine finally released his grip. “I’ll be right outside,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument. “Don’t take too long.”

You locked yourself in the bathroom, finally having a moment to yourself. The both of the men were really weird. One of them had a weird obsession with a kids' show, and the other...

The other...

Was weirdly attractive.

As you leaned against the small sink, you tried to process the whirlwind of events. Tangerine and Lemon. Their names alone were enough to make you question your reality, but their eccentric personalities added another layer of intrigue. Lemon's fixation on Thomas the Tank Engine was oddly endearing, but it was Tangerine's presence that left you feeling unsettled in a different way.

His firm grip on your wrist, the way he called you "love,” and his unwavering determination to protect you—there was something undeniably magnetic about him. You could still feel the lingering warmth of his touch, and it sent a shiver down your spine.

Despite the confusion and the uncertainty, you couldn't ignore the pull you felt towards Tangerine. His attractiveness was more than just physical; it was the confidence and the air of mystery that surrounded him.

You took a deep breath, ready to open the door, but Tangerine’s voice stopped you. “Yeah, we got her,” you heard him say through the door. He was probably telephoning with someone. Your father.

“Why? She’s with me,” he said, sounding a bit furious. You leaned your ear to the door, trying to catch every word. “Nothing will happen if she’s with me,” he said. In different words— I’ll protect her.

And in very different words— I’ll kill everyone who touches her.

You slightly opened the door, seeing Tangerine turned around with his back to you. This was your chance to escape. You felt the adrenaline surge through your body, your heart pounding in your chest.

But did you really want to escape?

You hesitated, the thought of running away conflicting with the strange sense of safety you felt with Tangerine and Lemon. You decided to try slipping past him, hoping to make it out unnoticed.

Just as you were about to move, Tangerine’s hand shot out and grabbed your wrist with that all-too-familiar touch. “Don’t even try, love,” he said firmly, his voice low and unwavering.

Your heart skipped a beat, the intensity of his grip and the sternness of his voice sending shivers down your spine. You looked up at him, your eyes meeting his.

“We need to get off at the next station,” Tangerine explained to you. Your confusion deepened. “Your father's buddies want to check on you.”

Panic began to rise within you. You knew all too well what your father did for a living, and your childhood hadn’t exactly been a fairy tale because of it. “No, no, what if they hurt—” you began, your voice shaking.

You were interrupted by Tangerine’s large palms gently cupping your cheeks, grounding you. “Hey, they won’t do anything to you since I’m with you,” he said firmly, his eyes locking onto yours.

The warmth and sincerity in his gaze steadied you somewhat. Despite the chaos and fear swirling in your mind, Tangerine’s touch and reassuring words provided a small island of calm. You took a shaky breath, trying to focus on his presence and the promise he made.

“I won’t let anything happen to you,” he continued, his voice low and determined. “You have my word.”

As the train slowed down at the station, your panic began to rise. Tangerine led you off the train, his grip on your arm firm but reassuring. You followed slightly behind him, trying to steady your racing heart.

“So here she is in all her beauty,” Tangerine said as you exchanged glances with the men your father had sent. They stood out with their odd punk clothing and baseball bats slung over their shoulders. The sight of them only added to your anxiety.

“Hello, Y/n. Remember me?” one of the men asked, his voice dripping with familiarity. You honestly didn’t know who it was, and you were too scared to even choke out a word.

Tangerine noticed your discomfort and quickly stepped in. “See, she’s okay,” he said, his tone firm and protective. “Looks like we have ten seconds till the train is leaving,” he added, checking his watch.

Without warning, he scooped you up in a bridal style, making all the men's eyes widen in surprise. “Have a great day,” he announced, his voice unwavering as he held you securely. The unexpected gesture left you both flustered and oddly comforted.

As he carried you back towards the train, you couldn’t help but glance at the men your father had sent, their expressions a mix of shock and irritation. Despite the chaos and confusion, you felt a strange sense of safety in Tangerine’s arms.

The train’s departure signal sounded, and Tangerine quickly boarded with you still in his arms. He set you down gently once you were inside, giving you a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, love. We’ve got this,” he said, his confidence unwavering. “I will always protect you.”

Despite knowing Tangerine for such a short time, you found yourself undeniably attracted to him. It wasn't just his striking looks and the confident way he carried himself; there was something deeper that drew you in.

You couldn't help but feel safe when you were with him. Despite the whirlwind of confusion and danger, Tangerine's strong presence and unwavering determination to protect you provided a sense of comfort you hadn't felt in a long time.

author’s note; hiya! first time writing and posting anything on here! been sucked back into blue lock among other things and I do have some stuff saved up! This is but one instalment with this particular reader, with more to come!

->the title and story itself is inspired by a german happy birthday song, roughly translating to “how beautiful that you were born, otherwise we would have missed you very much”

“What the fuck is this supposed to be?”, Kaiser asked, clutching the poorly wrapped package between his hands, an annoyed look in his eyes.

“Try thinking about it, I know it’s hard for you”, you cooed, shaking your head as you rested your hands on your hips, “It’s a present duh.”

“I don’t want it.”

“Yes you do.”

“No I don’t. I don’t need your pity.”

“When have I ever done anything for anyone out of pity?”

That was true actually. You weren’t exactly the easiest person to get along with, even if it was rich coming from him.

You were truly an enigma Kaiser could not quite wrap his head around. Psychologists would have a field day with you no doubt.

“You only get one though. Sucks you are born the day after Christmas. Don’t worry though, I made sure it’s more to accommodate for it.”

Kaiser held the box in his hands. It was light, wrapped in obnoxious green Christmas paper, a red bow adorning the package. The exterior seemed to be put together to the best of your abilities which… wasn’t a lot it seemed.

He looked back at you. He was almost expecting an anticipated look in your eyes, hoping he would unpack the gift, as you had dubbed it, but your face was unreadable and your smile as unnerving as always. There was something about the way you never acted quite how he thought you would that unsettled him deeply.

“I am not opening this”, Kaiser said, waving the present dismissively.

“I know. I am not asking you to open it.”

Your response only further cemented his lacklustre opinion of you.

“What the fuck is this even supposed to mean?”, Kaiser sighed, feeling a headache forming.

“It’s a philosophy I follow”, you explained, “whether you follow along with it is irrelevant.”

“So you are doing this for yourself?”

“Yes.”

“How selfish.”

“Absolutely.”

It was silent for a moment as Kaiser turned the present in his fingers.

“You want to know”, you pointed out, the grin on your lips widening.

“I don’t care.”

“You do. This is going to give you sleepless nights. Do not fret, I am a merciful god.”

Somehow, Kaiser doubted that.

“It is a celebration you know?”, you elaborated, closing the gap between you two. Kaiser didn’t flinch nor move back, but the anxious, pathetic lump forming in his stomach whenever you were around was certainly there, frustratingly enough.

He didn’t respond. ‘What for?’, you could almost read in his fixated gaze, watching your every move with great interest.

“It’s a thank you”, you said, voice dropping lower, more serious tone, “For being born. Otherwise, you would have been missed very much.”

The lamp atop his table burst into a million pieces as he harshly moved back, hitting the table, a bewildered, angry look in his eyes. You didn’t flinch. You were analysing him, gauging for some sort of reaction surely, like he was some sort of lab rat for you to study, he was sure of it.

“You are such a fucking weirdo. Leave me alone.”

You continued to smile. Your lips curved upward, as if permanently tattooed on your stupid face, gauging for his reaction.

Kaiser hated you. He hated how his heart lurched at your carefully crafted words. Your silver tongue lulled people into a state of perpetuate ease. He had no doubt that this was part of the reason you were where you were today.

“You are a fucking sociopath.”

“Would it make you feel better if I was?”, you countered, your eyes flittering from his face to the broken lamp on the ground, kneeling down to collecting the shards to the best of your ability.

“Why would that make me feel better?”, Kaiser sneered, the wrapping crumpling under his fingers. Whatever was inside would surely be destroyed by now. By him. As per usual.

“Because then it would be easier for you Michi!”

“Easier?”

“Of course! You don’t think you are capable of being someone that can be loved after all”, you stated, casually, as you rose back to your feet, your eyes finding his again. Unreadable as always, with that goddamn smile on your lips, an eternal limbo between honesty and dishonesty that made Kaiser want to hide,”So perhaps that would make it easier for you no? If I was, I mean. Then you could chalk it up to me being crazy.”

His reactions entertained you like no other. You loved the way his face scrunched up. He was about to cry, no doubt, but he would never let himself cry. There was murder in his eyes too, oh he wanted you dead, how amusing.

“Leave.”

His tone was quiet, but dead serious nonetheless.

“Of course”, you beamed brightly as you moved to the door, carrying the large shards with you, Kaiser still frozen in place, gift in his hands. Oh he looked ready to murder you. How endearing.

You turned back, lingering in the doorway for a moment, for a mere second, you let your facade drop. Your voice was soft, devoid of your usual playfulness, almost genuine, not that he believed you were capable of that, truly capable of that.

“I love you Michael. Happy Birthday.”

The door closed with a soft thud. Kaiser exhaled shakily, eyeing the package for a moment before throwing it into his closet.

ANYWAYS!!! Guess who recently finished the EVA franchise minus the rebuilds and has been in a horrible chokehold over it, this anime ruined my life but hey at least its intro theme is nice……

Well, I wanted to draw some stuff for it! All together these pieces took exactly 48 hours and 20 minutes… with the cover-piece taking ~35(?) of those hours. These were… very, VERY time costly safe to say LOL,,, I am super, SUPER proud of how the cover came out though, everything on it was drawn, colored, rendered, edited, whatever, BY HAND stroke by stroke (as you can see below)

The text, the lineart, the shadows, the colors, the snowflakes on the bio and Shuri, EVERYTHING was done by hand, it was horribly time costly but it did come out very, VERY well in the end I would say (fun fact! I also didn’t originally have the textless version of the cover, and I had to trace all of the lineart for bio’s tophalf by just guessing what line when where and what the hell was going on /silly)

this was a very, very hard project to do all together, but it was also a really nice learning experience too, I’m happy i did it that’s for sure :3!

What's so fun about BruJay as a ship is Jason's sheer obsessive devotion to Bruce. Jason is possessive over Bruce, to the point he doesn't care about the deaths of others so long as he has Bruce's attention. A part of the UTRH arc this isn't talked about enough is that Bludhaven fucking explodes mid-way and Jason won't let Bruce see if Dick is alive.

A lot of discussion about UTRH paints Jason as this anger-driven cold, calculating machine up against Bruce when it's so clear that his love for Bruce is what drives him at his root, even if he won't acknowledge it. He says it himself, he would've done anything if it was Bruce who'd died instead of him and his anger is rooted in that possessive devotion not being reciprocated.

BruJay as a ship always to be, to some level, unrequited. Even if Bruce loves Jason back in that way, he'll never be that obsessed with Jason. Jason will always view Bruce's love for Dick or Tim to be a distraction, proof that Bruce isn't dedicated enough to him. Jason has the need to always have Bruce's attention, even when it could come at the cost of Bruce's other loved ones. Something something cannibalism as a metaphor for love in how Jason wants to consume Bruce's whole existence. He can't let Bruce leave him again, can't let Bruce love or grieve anyone else. Forcing Bruce to choose between Jason and the Joker isn't just about confronting Jason's killer, it's about confronting the other person who exists as this duality with Bruce and consumes so much of Bruce's life. That's the role Jason wants to fill, calling himself Red Hood and forcing Bruce to look at what he's become. But still loving Bruce and wanting more than anything for Bruce to reciprocate that love in the way that Jason understands. I just think it's good soup and rife with Dynamics that are underexplored with them.

to me, their romance was always a puppy love born out of a combination of social pressures, naïve curiosity, and a lack of true understanding regarding intimacy and romantic love and what it really is. it was real in that they do truly, deeply care about each other and they are close friends, maybe even shared an attraction, but a maturing romance is so much more than that. they've grown up and out of being boyfriend/girlfriend, and that's okay! i think television/film needs to show more often that most of us don't have definite "soulmates" or first childhood loves that we spend our whole lives with. it doesn't mean these relationships meant nothing and didn't impact us, it just means they've run their course and that something else is in the cards, and this is part of life!

i've always felt el was at her best and most confident self when broken up with mike, discovering who she was and what she liked alongside another girl her age instead of just relying on mike for mentorship on how to live in the real world. she deserves more of an opportunity to find herself, her autonomy, and her independence, and to love who she is, and she's made it clear she's felt insecure in the relationship with mike because she isn't being loved and understood the way she wants, needs, and deserves from someone who is her partner.

also, it's okay if mike doesn't love her in "the way he should". he is not obligated to love her romantically and stay in a relationship with her just because she's a girl, because she "needed someone", or because he cares about her a lot. he shouldn't be pressured into a romance if it's not truly coming from his heart. he deserves freedom to find out and honour who he is, too, instead of just staying in his non-functional first relationship — one he got into as a child, essentially — and defining himself that way because it's what's expected when a boy and a girl are close. he loves her in some way, yes, but it's okay if he doesn't feel comfortable or secure being her boyfriend anymore, for whatever reason that is. he's felt insecure too, and that's valid and it matters.

they are their own people and are steadily growing and changing every day. they need time to figure out who those people are, and it's become clear (at least in my opinion) that those people aren't meant to be a couple at this stage.

they deserve freedom. they deserve to grow up and be authentic to themselves and not feel like they need to lie for the sake of a relationship. they deserve to move on from this version of their relationship that isn't making them happy and rekindle the best part of their bond: their strong, beautiful friendship. they don't have to be a couple if it doesn't make them stronger and better and happier people.

i think it would be healthy and wonderful for a show, especially one consumed frequently by young adults, to show a relationship starting, progressing, and ending on good terms in this way. sometimes things don't work out, and that is okay.

they’re not reylo because osha isn’t sidelined from the narrative to support his goals. from her perspective we see how it makes complete sense why someone like her, (a dedicated, loving yet outcasted former jedi) is questioning where she belongs. Qimir may want to use her and obviously feigning kindness to get her to trust him, but he also genuinely wants a pupil that unlocks the power of the dark side. And he sees that power in osha and it’s this obsession with her that’s undeniably tempting especially for someone who hasn’t quite been given back the loyalty and devotion that she openly offers.

its “toxic” because it’s supposed to be. and we love watching these dynamics unfold because they reflect the ugly truths of human nature. we do things to feel love even if it’s in artificial forms. we incessantly give with the illogical hopes that we might receive something back. how the dark side pulls someone such as osha therefore becomes realistic. and what is more appealing than to allow yourself recognition you never had. to let your emotions be unrestrained and even be your greatest strength. what else could you do when someone finally tells you that there’s more out there for you, and can grant you unspeakable power that’s always been just out of reach

i used to freehand comics all the time as a child and since the part i liked was the drawing part i would just draw panel after panel because i didn't want to stop drawing to think about icky icky words, plus the story TOTALLY still made perfect sense! to me! and noone else, but 'whoooo caaaaares omgggg its not like comics and sequantial art are a communicative meeediummmm lmaoooooo'. i spent my entire childhood telling myself stuff like "oh pfft I know this story by heart- ill SIMPLY remember the dialogue and write it later" ...and. I can't help but admire baby maiora's (call that a minora ba tm tsk) fucking audacity? hubris? confident wrongness? kid couldn't even remember to finish the comics in the first place? INCREDIBLE levels of unearned self assurance, wish that were me, genuinely- what an icon!!! anyway i think i have forever cursed myself
