For Alastor I am genuinely shocked we don’t know that much about him but then again they did allude to doing more with him in Season 2 so for that I guess we shall wait and see. For Angel I literally have no idea. My only headcanon I have about his living time is when he was 6 he hated vermicelli because it means “little worms” and he thought that was gross. For the drag thing. We haven’t even seen this guy in drag in the actual show yet and I am frankly pissed but idk where they’d fit that in with what we got so like okay I guess but as for his reasoning I think he either just liked it or yeah its just cause he was a closeted gay man. Husk I again have no clue. We know he was an overlord and then made a contract but that is literally it. I like Husk as a character he seems like a very sweet guy sometimes, but again, Idk anything about him. Nifty is just. Kinda there? Ok so my thoughts on 10 are less than 14 so let’s start with him lol. I have not watched 10, so my hatred of him is more hatred by proxy of how the fandom treats him and proxy of 14, but I still do have a few specific thoughts and this will be long and definitely rambly

A) when talking about him I usually refer to him as Fandom’s Favorite White Boy or Pathetic Wet Cat/Twink mostly because it’s funny but for now I’ll use 10. The most I know about 10 is that he is angsty and in love with rose and besties with Donna… also that he’s pathetic but that’s more vibes

So- my hate of 10 is less tangible than 14 but i still have a few points, the main one being the way i see ppl talk about how he treated Martha and how obsessed with rose he was. I don’t think it’s ever compelling to have someone’s main personality trait be loving someone a whole lot which also honestly is my problem with rose (don’t hate her but don’t care about her)

From what I have seen and heard of 10 it’s rather… boring, honestly? Like it’s mostly clips out of context but for 13 and 15 I saw clips out of context and was like “ok wth is happening? /pos” with 10 it’s more like “wtf?” Also pretty sure his episodes were some of the ones I saw when my parents had the show on that played a part in me swearing the show off so

Ok onto the more tangible hatred of 14. A lot of this, admittedly, is more about the writing and showrunner decisions than 14 but those things by proxy makes me hate him

So- I have a lot of feelings on him quite literally starting from his first appearance in power of the doctor. I am SO PETTY that he doesn’t wear 13’s silly little outfit. Like I have gone on full rants about that fact to my friends and family

I’ve seen something claim that rtd didn’t want 14 to wear her outfit because people might be transphobic and derogatory towards him (even tho Dhawan!master wore it, and it’s pretty gender neutral) but then did nothing about the shit ppl said about ruby’s actor or about ppl who would be a bitch about rose the second being nonbinary(also i remember seeing a post about their deadname being mentioned in an episode? Not totally sure that’s true tho)

The 60th anniversary specials themselves don’t really celebrate Dr who as a whole as much as 10’s run with a few old villains but that’s not really my main issue with that. My main issue with the specials is that the Doctor gets their happy ending. With Donna. And her family. When fucking 3-4 episodes prior, their happy ending would’ve been yaz. It would’ve been staying with yaz. But nope! Donna! Because that’s what 10 would’ve wanted.

And I don’t want 14 to be with yaz, btw, I mean I want them to meet and for yaz to hit him, but I don’t want them to be a thing or like be together because I believe yaz is a lesbian but that’s not the point of this so moving on

I also have very much big issues with the scene where 15 and 14 are (presumably, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the full scene) talking about women they love and mention who I assume to be River and rose but not yaz, who again, they wanted to spend forever with 3-4 episodes prior. It makes the doctor seem like a douchebag even if it’s a writing issue and not a character issue

Also 14 being David tenant overshadows 13’s departure and 15’s arrival and since he is most likely going to show up at least a little bit in s14 he’ll overshadow 15 in his own series. It’s icky at the very least.

There’s something inherently bad about having the fandoms Favorite White Boy be with a contentious casting decision (because I have no faith in the Dr who fandom not to be bigoted) and even if no one has an issue with 15 being black and maybe gay (is he gay? He gives gay vibes) it’s still setting him up for failure by pairing him with 14

My current hyper fixation is this shit show from the Syfy channel ToT (more under cut)

Watching Lexx is like going to a amusement park for, what thay advertise as, "the most violent roller coaster in the world". And yeah it's great in the first half, got the whole death coaster spiral with maximum velocity and everything, but then it zooms out to a flat track with a couple bumps in it for like 10 miles and your done.

I reeeally like the first season, it tells a great story and ties everything up into a nice little bow with enough wiggle room to continue the story by the end... and by season 2 everything that was good about the first season was not only thrown out the window, but shitted on and fed to rabid dogs that hate gay people

As someone who really likes old media I've had to be prepared for very out of date vocabulary and morals to just be thrown around occasionally and usually the overall story is good enough for me to wave it off as 'old media being old media' , unfortunately for Lexx it's combined lackluster writing (especially in later episodes) and overt homophobia / sexism makes it really hard to watch and enjoy , it's gone from a fun watch that needs a little inebriation to fully enjoy to hair pullingly frustrating

They introduce so many interesting concepts and characters that, 9 times outta 10, are literally blown up never to be seen again! And buddy I neeed side characters to get unhealthily attached to !! How am I supposed to be invested in this story if I can't look forward to possibly seeing Bimnie #3 in the next episode or a recurring minor villain that's more of a nuisance than a threat 😭😭😭

It sucks because idk if I'll ever watch it all, but sometimes you gotta choose happiness and peace of mind instead of having bragging rights of watching a "classic" all the way through

Anyway this show got me upset enough to want to rewrite the whole thing so enjoy some of my 790 redesigns and keep a eye out for updates cus this will probably be my next big project (at least until I find something else to obsess over lol)

(For those not in the know, 790 is usually just a head, which is funny for the first couple episodes, but if I have to deal with a comic relief character for more then a couple episodes they better start pulling their fucking weight with more than just "funny" quips [he is not funny]. I got back into Warrior Cats and joined an rp group (through aj lol). It was kind of a way to get back to my art roots as an artist since WC is a bit of what made my friend group in school and I had some art of. Admittedly I am rusty to drawing cats.

This is Twistertail! He is part of Asterclan (or was a part of, he is now a member of Surgeclan read about the clan HERE) I'll try to keep his about brief but he is roughly 36 moons (3 years) and he's a little weird personality wise. He lost is tail in a bit of an accident right after he was promoted to a warrior. He does kinda have a mate, Bleakspot, who he constantly thinks about as well as an apprentice, Fernpaw. AND OF COURSE I HAD TO MAKE A HUMAN VERSION OF TWISTERTAIL LOL. >:) His name is Scott (for now. I don't have a last name for him.) I am a bit horny for him but for good reason. Watched Big Eden last night and want to share my thoughts:

Henry - yep, he is cute. Bonus points for prominent nose.

Landscapes - very much okey. Lake. Mountains. House with wood in and out <- as if it was all designed especially for me to stare at it forever and wonder if I'd like to live there

Music in the background - consequently Country and songs are commenting the scenes the way they are expected to👍 [if I were obsessed with this movie like I am with ATWD I would check out all their lyrics but for now I'm satisfied enough]. Yeah, all of this very much okey. I like the mood that it gives

Henry's getting out of the lake all soaked up wet like Pride and Prejudice's Mr Darcy - also okey (umm... am I there to wonder if somebody was watching him behind the trees? Nah, I doubt it)

the local community - authenticly friendly people (not like in Wet Sand when seemingly "friendly" neighbours hide their despise for you as well as their own domestic violence right behind their snarky smiles🤮). These guys seem nice and - surprise! - are nice. And "keeping the secret" is challenging enough to be enrichment for someone who's doing nothing all day...😜

Is he like Irakli from And Then We Danced and his "I can't" is rooted in a worry abt what ppl would say? But Dean's divorced so "free to be taken" and most of all - it's fucking USA 2000!!! so why would he really give a shit!? Or maybe he's more like Clive from Maurice and believes in some kind of morals that prevents him from being able to be intimate with a man? Well, personally as an ace person I suppose his romantic and sexual orientation might be split into biromantic-heterosexual: that he falls in love regardless of gender but when it comes to sexual desire - he only feels it for women. So when Dean is with a woman it does seem as simple as being straight but when to focus on his feelings for Henry alone - it's more like alloromantic-asexual. What I mean is: he's "homo-romantic" (he really loves Henry in the way to truly care about him, treat him as family, dance with him in public (I loved that🫠) and even kiss him) but also "homo-asexual" (not feeling comfortable to go to bed with a man). I mean I can imagine if that's how it works with Dean (and also with Maurice's Clive BTW) - it's confusing as hell and that the guy really struggles that he can't give himself fully to someone he loves the way Henry desires him to... Poor guy😟

Pike - nice guy but quiet one. Morbidly shy. I can't say I don't feel it, I myself was like that as a teenager but I fought with it. And I fully understand the way you prefer to express your feelings with deeds instead of words, I really do... (for some reason I even made one of my OCs to act like that). But you can't play "Secret Santa" to the end of your days, man, that's not a life...😮‍💨 Especially don't do this to someone who's as lonely as you🙄

Now there's the kiss. While dancing. Is it romantic? I guess so... (as aromantic person I can only guess). And what about kissing extremally shy person who's probably paralized from embarrasement when kissing IN FRONT OF ALL THE PEOPLE? Okey, I suppose it was not their first kiss actually... It was not as naturally build up as the one between Henry and Dean (spending time together, alone, after a day of intense emotions - as short as it was it felt very much organic🫠) Make me think: maybe that kiss between Henry and Pike was actually meant to be a public act of "let's show them all we're over this already, shell we?". Or maybe it was their first kiss indeed, Pike felt how Henry really so soooo much wanted it that he decided to sacrify himself and ignore his own discomfort only not to let Henry feel let down again... And why does Pike not lift his hand to touch Henry's neck or his face, is he really so paralised by the thought of everybody watching? Or maybe it's Henry's fantasy while they'll actually kiss each other later when left alone finally?

Alright, jokes aside - I liked it! Might not be very great movie to make me laugh and cry in turns but definitely pleasant one. Very pleasant. Wouldn't mind to watch it again one day. Maybe I'd spot more little details? As fairy-tale as it was depicted I want to believe in that world full of good people, where there's no fear of violence and no villain (Dean is NOT a villain). And I really want things to be nice for them. For all of them❤️

Anyway, I am also obsessed. I fucking love these characters so much, thinking about the kinda post MH story for them is so special to me. I'm SO glad you like the names. I love them. I think they're so cute. And now I'm really curious what names you guys game the twins, like how similar are the names, if the naming convention itself is similar?

I remembered more about the post MH storyline that me and my boyfriend talked about AGES ago (before I'd decided that Tim and Brian would have another kid, and before that kid was named Jesse after Jessica), which was specifically about the 'canon' way that this story goes (not the 'everyone lives' AU). Because it ended up being that like, Tim did end up getting back in touch with Jessica because she and Taylor had a kid who ended up in the same school as Birdie did I think? (small fucking world huh 💀 everyone's turning up at this damn school).

Anyway Jessica was like, picking her kid up from school and she saw Tim while he was waiting in the playground, and just kinda sidled up to him to see if it actually was, and like, sure the conversation was a bit awkward, but it was still nice. (I know Jessica doesn't remember MH in the comics but she does here, just like she has a kid here, and isn't being actively fucked with by the operator and skully lol)

Anyway, then Birdie came out of class and over to Tim, and Jessica had this little moment looking at her where she was like "god this kid looks just like Jay" and she doesn't get a chance to ask Tim about it, because then her own kid is coming out of class and they have to rush off to get to his after school club or whatever, but the next day when she sees Tim again, Jessica just quietly asks if Birdie is both Tim's and Jay's, and Tim gets like, really quiet and just gives her a tight little nod and that's the end of the conversation.

But like, over the next term or two, they slowly talk more and eventually Tim admits that Jay died at the end of MH and that he lied about it to Jessica back then because he thought it was the right thing to do. They become good friends though, and they take their kids to the part together and stuff, so Birdie has a "cousin" in Jessica's kid who she becomes fast friends with, and their little family grows. Because like, yeah they have Brian's family, but they don't get to see them super often.

Side note, Brian having a very big, very lovely family is a huge HC for my boyfriend and I. We have a whole cowboy/wild west au that ended up accidentally revolving around Brian having a huge family who are just, really really accepting of queerness. Like, Jay was a trans guy, Alex was a trans girl, Tim and Brian were gay/bi etc, and the four of them were poly, and brians mum was just like, cool, can one of you PLEASE go wrangle the younger kids for dinner??? It's great. She also makes Alex her first dress, and teaches her 'how to be a woman', like, sewing, cooking, all the stuff a lady in the 1800's wild west would need to know.

I love that woman. She's the best character in that whole AU. She treated Tim like one of her own sons because he and Brian had been friends since they were kids, except Tim was CLEARLY her favourite and she was an absolute menace (affectionately) to Brian, who was the oldest or one of the oldest out of, like, 7 or 8 kids I think.

SPEAKING OF BRIAN ACTUALLY, you wanna know one of the ideas I went through before settling on Brian showing up as a teacher at Birdies school? I'm gonna tell you anyway so please nod.

At first, I was gonna have it so that Tim and Brian only met each other again when they were both in, like, their late fifties to early sixties. Like, Birdie would be all grown up and living with her wife (oh yeah Birdie's a lesbian and ends up with a wife) and one day Tim and Brian just, run into each other, and it takes them both a moment to place where the hell they recognised each other from, but eventually they do, and just like in 'canon' S,IL they both have a big crying reunion about it. And then it was just them being old men falling in love with each other all over again, y'know?

It was SUCH a cute idea. It was so fucking cute. I still love it.

Hi! I loooved the post and i agree, with a character like ramsay you have countless options. I mean characters like Jon and robb and ect. you don't have a lot of options because, you know, i dont think they can handle someone cunning and cruel but with ramsay, yes reader can be soft and submissive but i doesn't HAVE TO BE JUST THAT, she can be cruel and cunning, or not just like him but okay with him, she can be a noble lady, she can be a knight at his service or a maid but i am sick of opening ramsay tag and ONLY see "ramsay x whimpy maid who is scared of her own shadow and ramsay tourments her but she is so submissive and okay with that" like come on man, be a little bit more creative! It has been an INSANE few months. Don’t get me wrong, while this man is not one for wanting kids or marriage, he is a giant marshmallow that loves romance stuff (even tho from past observations dating him is like doing bunch of side quests in a video game). That being said: I really really really wish you could see this man for the past few months. He’s still a giant dumbass, who has no filter and does dumb shit (last week he “borrowed” a plate from a restaurant bc he wasnt finished eating his spaghetti when dad decided that they were leaving, please try to imagine my dads look when he looked at the passenger side and realized my brother took the plate and fork) That being said, for the past few months he has been a blushing, giggling IDIOT! And he is still this way. I told Nick I know how annoying he can be in recovery and he went "idk what you mean, he's been very good" and I wanted to fight both of them. I HAD TO CHASE THAT MAN DOWN A STREET CAUSE HE WAS MAD AT CRAIG! meanwhile my boy Nick says "babe, maybe take a nap" and he goes "good idea but tv stays on so I feel like I'm winning this argument a little bit" ugh.

He really had zero idea what was happening until that pool/bar date and even that it was only because on the way home he stopped at his friends place and he was telling them about the “cool new guy he made friends with” and during the telling of the game and how he “let him win” he realized that he had Nick do the move that usually he would do on his dates. According to one of the friends there, it was like watching the oh…oh…OH..OH FUCK, in real life except he didn’t know he had the oh moment. (I asked btw, he had it while trying to sleep and out of nowhere he realized he actually likes him in a "gay way and not in an ALLY! way") (he is also upset about no longer being able to do the ally fist)

I do have to give my man Nick some credit tho. He found out about his qaf/Brian obsession and about the fact that bunch of strangers watched him react to it and he thought it was the most hilarious thing ever and I read him some of my brothers highlights and he actually found it adorable and funnt. Insane behavior if you ask me. It did however make me feel better when he learned about his Brian crush and went “you basically had a crush on him and you still thought we were just two bros hanging out?” And that idiot went “that’s no- OH MY GOD WAS BRIAN MY AWAKENING?!?!” (The answer from dad was ‘no, cause you were clearly asleep when you met’) Also his face was priceless when he found out that my brother played pool. It really was a dummy going on dates and not realizing it and a guy thinking he’s dating the most shy guy ever. He has since learned that my brother does not know that word.

I will have you know tho that about a month into their relationship we were having lunch and he looked at me in horror and went “oh no, they have that hashtag for me as straight brother. This will totally fuck it up for them” and I had to remind him that he is just a random guy and he got upset with me and went “yeah, but you can’t tell me that they won’t be at least a tiny 2% happy to know that I of all people managed to make Bri Bri proud!”  Btw the rimming joke actually made me laugh bc I was unfortunately a witness to him saying "Oh just like in quee-" and Nick going "yeah, no..let's not take inspirations from that"

My current ship that literally makes me sick in the head. what if we loved each other despite our flaws that make us feel unlovable…what if I want to spend my whole day arguing with you instead of being with my girlfriend…if I see you talk to another man I’ll actually blow my fucking brains out.

2. Giles x Jenny

I know I flip flop between him and Ethan but I have wayyyy more to say about these two outside of “TOXIC YAOI!!!!!” The whole idea of “we made it work one day, just not in this life” DRIVES ME INSANEEEEE and is such a constant in Giles’s life across all his love interests (Ethan included LOL). Also Jenny is just cool 👍🏻

3. Alex x Meredith

I’m literally the only person who pictures this. Btw. Big fan of the two most damaged people you know getting together cuz they made a marriage pact for whatever reason. I think they could work.

I haven’t picked it up inna sec but A Million Little Pieces by James Frey for the kicks and giggles and I’m starting Beloved because I love Toni Morrison…but mostly stuff for my research paper that I finished last week like Walking mannequins by Joya Misra. I want to start Kafka on the shore this summer but i know the translation isnt the best (??) maybe it is who knows who knows.

Also comic wise I’m reading Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees. It’s fun I just LOVEEEEE watercolor comics, reminds me of Beasts of Burden.

Bones and Greys Anatomy ‼️ I havent been watching a ton of movies sadly I dont have the time ☹️ But I need to watch Tiger Cruise for my propaganda class and I did just see Monkey Man which was AWESOME.
