Hi, it's funny to get here and see that humanity themselves, haven't evolved at all in terms of interpersonal relationships, the way they deal with consumption and how they this business can be dangerous in the midst of all this amount of information that we are bombarded every day; self-sabotage, manipulation and lack of equity will never be normal for me, as time goes by life makes us create a kind of protective shell, a useless attempt to shield and protect ourselves from any negative external influence, more precisely the exaggerated cultural appropriation that go beyond the limits of added values ​​inherent to the congenital characteristics of each human being;

When the challenge of the creative part becomes more important, even the smallest details of trends, ideas of behavior are distorted and is what actually makes me more cautious, among many other designations, more honest with myself and increasingly concerned with values ​​"cosmoethics" and humanitarian causes, there are those who doubt it, but I believe that the quality of our experiences are totally related to these rules that every online community has been establishing over the years, as new models and standards are revealed.

All this search for new connections can be seen in different ways; emotional needness, something in the sense of sexuality and other natural characteristics that can show and let and escape a weakness or another type of vulnerability nothing but really an attempt to get closer. I understand and agree with a lot of the frustrations about the shortcomings of Inquisition as a story. but sometimes when I hear people complain about the chosen one narrative in it I do want to just be like... you know it's a deconstruction of the concept more than anything, right. the inquisitor isn't actually chosen by anything except stumbling into the wrong (right?) room at the right (wrong?) time because they like, heard a noise or whatever. or if you think they are chosen, as many do in-universe, that's something you have to take on faith, the maker-or-whoever moves in mysterious ways indeed-style. the Inquisitor isn't actually a Destined Chosen One, they're a Just Some Guy in a fancy hat, self-delusions of grandeur to taste as you'd prefer.

a running thread that goes through all of the personal quests of the companions is the concept of a comforting lie vs. an uncomfortable truth, upholding old corrupt structures vs. disrupting them, and the role of faith in navigating that. (blackwall the warden vs. thom rainier the liar and murderer. hissrad vs. the iron bull, or is that the other way around? cassandra and the seekers -- do we tell the truth about what we find, even if it means dismantling the old order of the world? and so on.) and your inquisitor IS at the same time a comforting lie (a necessary one, in dark times? the game seems to ask) and an uncomfortable truth (we are the result of random fickle chance, no protective hand is held over the universe, it's on us to make a better world because the maker sure as hell won't lift a divine finger to help anyone, should he against all odds exist). faith wielded for political power... where's the point that it crosses the line into ugliness? is it before it even begins? what's the alternative? will anyone listen to the truth, if you tell it?

interesting how you also get a mix of companion agency in this -- you have characters like dorian who ALWAYS choose one side of the comforting lie vs. uncomfortable truth dichotomy. he will always make up his own mind to go back to tevinter and try to dismantle the corruption of the old system no matter what you say, or how you try to influence him. meanwhile iron bull is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum -- so psychologically trapped and mangled, caught in an impossible spiritual catch-22, that his sense of identity is left entirely to you and your mercy. you cannot change dorian in any way that matters; you can be his friend or not, support him or not, but he is whole no matter what. you are given incredible and potentially destructive-to-him power over bull's soul. it's really cool (and heartbreaking) to think about.

this is a game about how history will eat you even while you're still alive, and shape you into whatever image it pleases to serve it, and for all your incredible power right now you are powerless in the face of the gravitational force of time -- of more than time, of History. you won't recognize yourself in what History will make of you, because you belong to it now. you don't belong to yourself anymore and you never will again. the further you were from what it needs from you to begin with, the more you will find yourself distorted in its funhouse mirror. (why hello there inquisitor ameridan, same hat!)

and to me this is so much the core of what Dragon Age is about right from the Origins days -- how and by whom history gets written, the inherent unreliable narration of it all. I hope you like stories, Inquisitor. You are one now.

I do think it's probably still the weakest of the games narratively, and it's hampered by its structure and bloated systems. but I also find it disingenous to say that there's nothing deeper or actually interesting going on with it, thematically. if you're willing to engage with it there is Some Real Shit going on under the high fantasy-tinted surface.

I’ve seen Twisters a couple of times now and something that isn’t being talked about enough is the way Tyler looks at Kate.

The best scene for this example (I can’t find a gif) is when they’re at the lunch with her mom and he tells Kate to keep her clothes on and she stands up.

He looks at her like she hung the fucking moon.

And I fucking LOVE IT.

How he comes to her and gives her the pizza, how he WAITS FOR HER TO OPEN THE DOOR AGAIN. How he talks with her at the rodeo and they work together to get people to safety. How he covers her from the car during the tornado. How he goes and finds her after it and he looks up at her bedroom window the day he leaves. How he brings her into the Tornado Wrangler Family and she’s herself again.

And THAT PICTURE SCENE. Oh my god- I’m melting. At first I thought he was the one taking it but when he was stood to the side watching and asked for a copy….god I love them.

I can imagine Kate finding that picture one day - maybe inside his cowboy hat, maybe somewhere in his truck so he can always see her when she’s not with him - and Tyler getting all smitten and blushing as she teases him relentlessly.

There might not have been a kiss scene but seeing the bts helps heal that small hole. But either way, Tyler and Kate’s foundation and growth of relationship is one of the BEST ever! And with the extra scenes after it ends, helps solidify the happiness and exterminate the fear that their story is left so open it might not exist after the movie.

But it does. It does exist.

This man DRILLED his truck into the ground outside to go after her. (Which is Iconic, by the way.)

That man fell in love at first sight, even if he didn’t fully know it yet. The minute he saw her, his eyes never left her. And I loved every second of their rivalry (and the way it hops between them both explaining a twister) and friendship and relationship.

This movie will forever be one of my top favourites.

Whether you like disaster movies, with a sub-plot of romance and comedy or not— please. Everyone. Go and watch this movie. Even if it is just to see the chemistry between these two characters.

The thing in Gurdians of the Galaxy is that they don't really care about being good. They just want to be with their little band of misfits and accidentally saving the galaxy in the process.

In GOTG 1, they have no other choice bc they don't want to die.

In GOTG 2, Quill just wanted a dad. The dad happens to be an egomaniac.

In Endgame, Rocket and Nebula just wanted to bring their family back.

In GOTG 3, they just wanted to save a friend.

And their selfishness is what makes them more human than any superhero movie... though only .5 of them is actually human 😭

🌻 SO last minute but here's my entry for @tmntfashioncompetition! the theme was Sail the Seven Galaxies!

man this prompt basically gave me the opportunity to create a whole new AU haha. I wanted to do my own spin of the "magical girl", since I loved watching sailor moon growing up, but I'm calling them magical guardians 😁 so for context- the brothers were orignally protectors of the seven galaxies, but somethinf happened that caused them to get scattered across the universe, losing their powers and memories of each other. mikey, who awakened first, sets out to find his lost brothers. even though they have no memory of who they were, they're still connected through their ninpo.

aaa I wish I had more time to fully flesh it out but I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out!

I'm more of a lurker than a poster on tumblr because I've completely lost the habit of actually voicing out personal thoughts on anything I remotely enjoy online (most social media turning into ways to find work will do that for you) but I've just realized.
