Epic Sans Character Interpretation Masterlist

Some of this is canon, but for the most part this is my interpretation of the character. I might expand on or add on to this later if I forget anything or want to add on. I hope this helps!

Epic was created first years before Papyrus—it was never said when, but I believe Epic is at least 16 years or so older than EpicPapyrus and raised him given that Epic was old enough to work in a lab with EpicGaster but was clearly still younger than the other adult assistants

You're right, as far as I've seen, I don't really see as many comic dubs and animation memes as I used to, but people are still making them! If you look on YouTube (or on Tumblr, if you look hard enough) you'll find comic dubs and animation memes. YouTube is better for those things though.

He only offers to share when someone is upset because he doesn’t know how to comfort but if they actually take the food he will be more upset then the person (but not show it) also hates when people chew loud. It annoys the actual shit out of him, once froze a guy because of it.

When he learnt about Mario and Mario games he said “me and peach are alike. Always trapped, and forced to stay with someone you don’t like.” Or something like that idk. Or when he watched frozen for the first time and related to Elsa. Hates zoos for the same reason. he says/thinks the animals are like him. Trapped in a place we’re they can’t get out, forced to eat certain things or the same thing everyday. Trained to do things.. ect. He wants to set free to all the animals.

Always seeks approval from someone before he does something and that’s mostly on trauma.

When it’s summer he sweats easily and ALOT even if he uses his ice side to cool him down. when it’s winter he gets cold easily but he can warm up.

When he got a phone it become a.. kind of escape for him. He can’t use it very well, but he uses it to distract himself from the world when needed.

He does not know what love feels like. He didn’t even know he could have platonic love before having friends. He doesn’t know what romantic love feels like so he will never know when he’s inlove with someone but he’s kinda glad it’s that way because he doesn’t necessarily want to be in a romantic relationship because he doesn’t want to be like his father. Because he didn’t use his left side (fire side) for ages due to not wanting to use his ‘fathers’ quirk. Once he started using it again, he got burns and he wasn’t the Absolute best at controlling it. But because he did go through alot of training as a kid he did know what he was doing, just forgot how to apply some of it (if that makes sense.)

Linked to last headcanon. Since he lost some control over it, he was scared on what his father would think if he saw that so he began to overtraining himself again. He wants to not care what his father thinks, he wants to just not care in general. But he can’t help this fear that’s inside him. Izuku noticed this and began to help him and he talked to him.

Only likes cold drinks.

Not use to physical praise, or just praise in general. When present mic patted his head for the first time for doing well in a test he was confused and didn’t get why he was hitting his head but he also kinda liked it, so whenever he does something right in English class or does well he expects a hadpat from present mic or even asks for one. Same thing happened with aizawa but with a hand on shoulder or something like that.

Autistic but isn’t diagnosed yet. But aizawa and present mic has tried to talk to endeavour about it.

Thinks bakugo is his best friend for no reason. Calls him ‘bestie’ and ‘best friend’

Trauma dumps randomly, he doesn’t really mean to but he does. He does it in a funny way tho. For example he was at midoriya’s and inko was making them tea or something and todoroki said to izuku. “Don’t worry izuku. I’ll be here if your mum tries to burn you. Wouldn’t want you to experience that.”

Never celebrated any holidays until he came to UA he was so confused when everyone started celebrating random days, but he started liking them.

Doesn’t understand emojis. If you sent a “😭” to show that you are laughing or something he would be like “why are you crying?”

Use to walk people’s dogs for money and use to send that money to Fuyumi/his siblings

#H3: Link Click (Shiguang Dailiren)

Link Click is a show that is criminally underrated outside of China that it’s become a running meme in the fandom (i.e. Link Click fans to everyone they know: WATCH LINK CLICK!!!). Some people are just so resistant to watching anything Chinese that even others in the Link Click subreddit prefer its Japanese dub—which is sad because they don’t get to hear certain nuances in the original audio. It’s also just really frustrating how xenophobic people can get.

Anyways, the beauty of Link Click lies in its simplicity. For a time-travel show, you’d expect our characters to tackle on tasks that involve the fate of the world or something, but no. In Link Click, it’s all about the ordinary person. All the people Cheng Xiaoshi dived into have been your everyday person—an office woman who gets harassed at work, a restaurant owner who’s grown estranged from her best friend, a man who misses his first love and his old friends, a man who wants to gain the approval of his girlfriend’s family, etc. Even when the stakes go high in season 2, the core of the conflicts still lie in the personal problems that the characters face—which may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but they are not any less important.

And I think that’s beautiful. It’s hard to relate to grand plots of saving the world or facing an apocalypse and whatnot, but it’s easy to relate to the day-to-day struggles that humans face. 

But it’s also depressing, in a way. Link Click is very adamant that the past remain unchanged. Cheng Xiaoshi has to go there, do his mission, and then leave the past as it is—which is difficult when he gets to feel the emotions of the person he’s possessing. Many times he wants to change things for the better, but Lu Guang always pulls him back. 

Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang’s relationship is also really nice. Cheng Xiaoshi is the empathic and reckless type, while Lu Guang is the rational and cold (but inwardly a dork) type. They balance each other out, and when they have conflicts, they face it maturely. They also care for each other so so much that the moment the other is in danger, all their personal philosophies get thrown out the window just to ensure the other person’s safety.

The male characters also cry without getting emasculated. They have mental breakdowns that are done so well and feel like a real reaction instead of just the solitary tear down one’s cheek. 

Link Click… is not a gentle show. It will strongly grab your heartstrings and make you cry several times. It doesn’t pull its punches, and it’s always happy to hit you with the “past or future, just let them be” beam. It is cruel, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Lastly, Link Click is really about friends being there for each other in hard times, and knowing that while it’s impossible to take all those painful memories back, it is possible to take them with you in the future and turn them into something beautiful.

On Soundtrack: The soundtrack of this show is just amazing. The s1 opening song may seem all fun and games with the finger-tutting, but after s2, you’ll realize how meaningful the lyrics are. The s1 ending is also iconic for us fans. It starts playing before the episode ends, and the ominous start of the song always sends chills down our spines because it signals that something has gone wrong.

The s2 soundtrack gets even better. The s2 opening’s second chorus is basically just the first chorus played in reverse. The director specifically requested for a song that would sound good even when played in reverse, and it’s amazing how the band managed to pull off something so difficult. The s2 ending, like the s1 ed, continues the Link Click style of playing before the episode actually ends, making the last few moments of the episode even more emotional.

No stakes, only warmth. Tamayura: Hitotose is the single coziest anime I have ever watched. It is like Moomins or Studio Ghibli (without all the excitement), in that after watching it you feel like the greatest magic the world has ever known is a home-made bowl of soup, a trip to the mountains, a photograph of a memory. Which is all true. Animes like this teach you to live right, and that's why we need them. Also to teach us to be "more aggressivu!" If you ever have a really rough day/week/month/year/decade, let your soul be soothed and watch Tamayura: Hitotose.

this is actually a very interesting question! at first i thought you meant role switch like sibling role, ie. han seo being older and han seok the younger one. i think that could be very interesting too because personally i think han seo, the way he was portrayed in canon, could fit very well as an older brother, and likewise, han seok has that youthfulness, that insolence to him that you'd find in a younger kid. besides, the dynamic would be so fucked with han seok manipulating and controlling his big brother, don't you think? it's absolutely delicious hehe

other role switch as you mentioned, psycho han seo/normal han seok, or two psychos and two normals - all so good too. for two psychos, imagine han seok seeing that spark of something in han seo's eyes the moment they first met on that hunting trip. their father doesn't know yet, but han seok does; he does because he has that spark too. maybe han seo does things without realizing - being too cruel with the neighbor's dog; the stray animals coming into their yard, and he never feels guilty, especially so with han seok there encouraging him on. they'd be a goddamn power house when they grow up too hehe. so very into the idea of han seo doing the murders when they were young, han seok watching, han seok telling him they should take trophies (the watches) and han seok being caught because of it, never implicating his darling dongsaeng ("keep out legacy alive when i'm away, yeah, dongsaeng? hyung'll be back real soon."). thinking about han seo straight up planning to murder vincenzo without asking for permission first because he thinks it's right. he's not so afraid of what his brother might do to him - learning about consequences is never his forte.

for two normals, personally i think han seok without his psycho is pretty boring. like that's the spice of his character, but if i must. i'd say them fussing over the taboo of their relationship can be fun. angsty but fun. them knowing it's wrong but can't really help themselves. them coming back to the other at every turn - maybe even cheating on their current partner because the high they get from each other is something they cannot keep themselves from wanting hehe.

for psycho han seo and normal han seok... hmm. idk if han seo would be the abusive type - he was only ever imitating his brother in canon. maybe han seok could teach him to be "normal". get him to act right so he won't be sent away; won't raise any suspicions. han seok doesn't want them to part - doesn't think han seo would be able to fare much without him. the codependency would be absolutely insane here. with han seok thinking he has a responsibility with his baby brother and han seo looking up to him because he's older, he must be right all the time. thinking about han seo slipping sometimes, getting himself bloody from a fight, from something more and han seok's always there to patch him up, make things right. "your mom asked me to take care of you. i don't want to break my promise to her. let hyung take care of you, alright?" i am insane now hahaha

I have to talk about this because the Glass Animals How To Be A Human Being album is one of my special interests that album is so cool you guys don't understand please

The album features 11 songs, each one corresponding to one of the people on the album's cover(s), each one telling a story about that person

I bring this up as context as to why, even though everyone in this community makes memes about it, Pork Soda is THE TomTord song, and here's why:

Pork Soda corresponds to the old man with a paddy cap and glasses in the back of the album to the left of the basket ball player, and as such it's sung from his perspective

The song is about two lovers who fell in love with each other because of their spontaneous nature,

Somewhere in South End when you were fun You took my hand and you made me run Up past the prison to the seafront You climbed the cliff edge and took the plunge

However, this song is sung from the future(ish?), it's the old man yearning for the days when he and his lover were younger and full of sporadic energy, for when they would just pick up stuff suddenly and leave off on some crazy adventure,

Why can't we laugh now like we did then? How come I see you and ache instead? How come you only look pleased in bed? Let's climb the cliff edge and jump again

This is further pushed by the song's official music video where it shows a literal divide between the two lovers, living different lives as they live on completely separate floors of the house

The old man is portrayed as bitter and its suggested this song is him complaining about how his life isn't what it used to be to the listener, as he sits in his living room watching TV and doing pretty much nothing with himself, stuck in a constant loop of disappointment and resentment

Versus the wife who's seen with a dog that she's trying to get joy out of having, she tries to keep having a spontaneous life and do fun things to keep that spark in her going, seen with her dancing with the dog in the floor above the old man

I think this is great symbolism honestly, and it suggests the old man is to blame for this lack of spontaneousness in their love life anymore

Furthermore this is perfect for TomTord, more specifically, imo, enemies/friend to lovers to enemies WTFuture TomTord, although The End was also pretty good I think it would've worked better if it was pre Tord leaving and then Tord coming back, as that gives similar vibes yk?

It's perfect for them and I know this song is everyone's personal hell in this fandom and I understand why but you NEED to realize this is THEIR song

I know the reason she got that tattoo and why she said that she is so funny to me

She got that tattoo because there's actually a second Pork Soda, a band album: Primus' Pork Soda album, which is, I'm sure, why she got the tattoo because that album probably meant a lot to her

roommates are a given, i think hikari dorm is perfectly balanced (chaotic) in its own way and that even tho the 3 of them are so different they also manage to get along really well. i cant take them seriously at all and i think thats part of their charm lol. they're all such Characters individually that together it just feels Normal. i can imagine the three of them sitting around the bathtub, kanata splashing around while hiyori paints his own nails and rinne gossips. its like if the golden girls were anime boys but theres 3 instead of 4 and none of them are divorced or widowed. so really nothing like the golden girls but im sure u understand...maybe

nihihi dorm is actually tied for my fave with gender dorm god i love them a ton, i think in part because i love nikis relationship with hiiro and how hes adopted him as his own younger brother, but also hinata. i think about niki cooking for them and having them try new dishes and them having movie nights or staying up all night playing games and even tho niki has work the next morning hes like (exaggerated sigh) fine ONE more game...but he loves it

i love both rinne and niki (and crazybs in general honestly) doting relationship on 2wink and im so happy they keep getting collabs .. in case they decide to give us more crumbs... plz. they feel like younger siblings to them. rinne especially makes me so soft because past his initial impression of being a bad influence and generally just pushing his luck on how much he can tease, it always feels like hes looking out for the two

otherwise i also rly enjoy how they both interact within their own circle (i feel like ive been wanting a nikis kitchen tour for the past 2000 years. i hope we get framed picture of izumi in one of the 3*s).

i rly like how rinne gets along with his kouhai both in asobi and craftmonster bc of the attitude he takes on, ive mentioned it in another post but w/ the former especially he rly just allows himself to be playful so much so that it almost takes the kids off-guard bc theyre like what..hes not as scary as we thought he'd be at all. i think the best rinne friendships are the ones where they set those prejudices aside and dont take him seriously at all lol bc that's when he rly starts to feel comfortable. this grown ass man running around playing games and doing arts n crafts with a bunch of 15-17 y/os (and shu i guess) is a funny mental image and it rly feels like he can let himself loose. conversely i also love when he's exasperated with his juniors bc then hes like oh right im an adult i need to set an example.. this is about U chill yellow

on the other hand i like how niki interacts with ppl a lot more "serious" than him i.e ibara, natsume bc he tends to like..soften them? ppl cant help but let their guard down around niki hes just.... himself. like even if theyre initially wary they grow to be like "oh wait this guy's really nice what the fuck"

i particularly like nikis kitchen circle bc its ppl you usually wouldnt see interact with niki but u can tell they want to impress him. its so sweet nikis just some guy who wants to share his love for cooking. also thinking about the difference between how ibara would interact with rinne and niki (harsher with rinne bc hes his Boss whereas with niki he's more accommodating, that one gordon ramsey meme thats like u donkey vs oh oh dear) is funny so even if theres not a lot of interactions for them i want to think ibara would let niki get away with just about anything

AND NIKI AND TETORA...IVE ALREADY DISCUSSED THIS A FEW TIMES THOUGH... i have a huge soft spot for them. ritsu too. they get like 2 interactions (sweets hunter story, craftmonsters recent gacha) but ritsus humor is just so DRY and u can see niki be like (cogs turning in his head) Whar? its really silly ALSO HE CALLS HIM NIKIPYON....IS THAT NOT PERFECT... i need them to be friends

i like niki and mayois friendship, but its admittedly not my favorite; i like how niki feels like he can trust mayoi implicitly and how he tries to make him comfortable too — i think theyre both quite similar irt self image/esteem although they both go about it in different ways. their interactions can be sweet but one thing that stops me from enjoying them fully is how mayoi always seems kind of uncomfortable (and niki seems unaware of how/why he's uncomfortable) ;_; i hope that in the future the writers can let mayoi be more at peace around him, it'd be sweet!!

I knew my list of headcannons would come in handy some day!! :)

Comfort king, he literally has more pillow than bed, squishmallows are the key to his heart. He has so many blankets, fluffy, soft and of course weighted because yk anxious boi.

He can also sleep anywhere, whether it’s an armchair, someone’s lap, at his desk/batcomputer. Anywhere. Hell, he canonically fell asleep on a roller coaster!

Loves K-pop. Loves the Korean culture, language etc etc

Follows 5 minute crafts religiously. Smudge on the wall? Put toothpaste on it! Phone fell on his face? Glue it to your hand!! Problem solved. Alfred considers consulting a therapist.

Loves sushi, it’s practically his favourite food.

He has a huge heart and cares so much about the well-being of others probably more than he cares about himself. He may not physically show it how Dick does, but he’ll send his family memes or pictures of baby animals or of their special interests when he feels something is off or that they are upset. They always appreciate it.

Evee here! An artist who is always in constant motion, drawing everything that goes through my head non-stop, coming up with one idea after another until I run out of ideas and hit a tremendous artistic block, but always willing to delve into doing new things every day, giving life to my drawings and even turning them into little improvised crafts. That's me!

My main interest is now focused on Welcome home! probably this interest will last for a long time being my current hyperfixation... but besides that! I'm a multi-fandom artist so it won't be the only colorful thing I'll always illustrate.

About me

I love drawing! My memory of how I got into art is a bit hazy, but I know it all started with the classic game Undertale. This amazing game sparked my interest, and with admiration and dedication, I drew Sans the skeleton for the first time. My younger self was captivated by the result, and that’s when I found my favorite hobby—art and drawing.

The same thing happened with animation. Watching so many animations related to the game made me want to bring my own characters to life, and Undertale pushed me to dive into animation. Then I discovered Animation Memes, which only fueled my passion more, turning me into an energetic kid with every animation I made, starting from 2016.

Sadly, I had to leave my old animation channel and start fresh on TikTok! I don't post animations as often, but my dedication is still there. Now I’m exploring more things—and maybe even some new ones!
