this is a good question and one i'm not exactly sure i can answer properly,, i do believe that irene's religion has a Lot of ties to christianity/catholisism in particular so i suppose the closest link would be something involving what the cross already does represent. it's specifically the ro'meave symbol iirc (i could be wrong about this), so i imagine it ties back to esmund somehow? the man who protected his people and sacrificed his own sately and humanity for them

i hope this is something,, i could go into a LOT more detail about the reincarnations almost represent the rebirth of jesus and how the divine warriors slowly merge into one god over time, like how the father, son and the holy spirit are supposed to be seperate but they're actually all one. but that isn't what you asked /silly
