i think the issue is that when talking about mithan or mia in general, theres just SO MUCH misinformation that its honestly a pain the butt to talk about

people still think that she was responsible for the creation of eveline, people still think that she experimented on eveline, people still use examples of her attacking ethan as if she did it on her own will instead of being mind controlled

in reality she was just someone who oversaw the transportation of evie. im not excusing her or anything because obviously she knew what she was doing, but people really try to accuse her of doing something she didnt and it bothers me alot lol

the problem with the fandom is that people either try to water her down to girlboss who did nothing wrong and fail to acknowledge the complexity/ moral grayness of her character and the other side is misogynists 😭😭😭😭

its hard to talk about her without people either going "stop trying to villainize her and make her look bad!" or people ACTUALLY villainizing her and acting like heisenberg would have treated him better 😭😭

mithan is such a sad relationship because they loved each other so much and that ended up being the reason their relationship fell apart (sort of... its not like the broke up... ethan kinda just straight up died)

i get a lot a trouble for saying this, but mia is a selfish person.

its not a bad thing! well i mean it is but it doesnt make her some evil witch who is somehow worse than the guy how made a werewolf american ninja warrior. its just a major character flaw she has! which is good! mia being a flawed person who makes mistakes and morally gray decisions make her a more interesting person!

she is selfish in the way that she wants to keep her family with her no matter the cost. even if it means lying to ethan about her job so that he wont think different of her. here is a interrogation from the re7 DLC, which is easy to miss!

she isnt necessarily trying to apologize for the things she has done, she is more of a, "u wont need to forgive me in the first place if we just forget it all and move on"

she doesn't try to redeem herself for what she has done, she tries to move on and return to the normal life that she wants so bad. which is fine! everyone copes a different way and she has to right to move on from her trauma. the problem that lies in this is that she has a shared trauma with ethan who still has no idea what went on in dulvey and still effects him till the present (he is mold! this is a important thing to know! most people would want to know if they were a walking corpse)

she played a direct part in what happened in dulvey, and im not referring to the email, she did not send that. she never wanted ethan to come in the first place. she tried her best to send a video to him, begging him to forget about her because she wanted to protect him, BUT it didnt send.

he got involved because she was involved. its honestly a series of really really unfortunate events.

THOUGH! she did know what she was getting into. im tired of seeing the narrative that mia was innocent and didnt know what was going on or was simply a bystander. she knew what she was doing, she knew eveline was a bioweapon, she knew eveline was a child. she used a MACHINE GUN! she knows how to use weapons and was obviously trained for it.

she tried her best to keep everybody out of the mess, ex: warning the bakers not to take them in, warning ethan not to find her, sacrificing herself for ethan in the later half of re7

but again, those are the consequences of HER actions

her consequences just happen to get really big and end up hitting ethan on the head like a metal sheet 😭

their relationship is really so interesting, it makes me really sad to think about sometimes 😭they both went through something that nobody else would ever understand, in the end they really only have each other. they get moved to an entire different country and the dulvey incident gets covered up with a "gas leak"

its really tragic because their marriage definitely had some flaws and bumps. and i know im repeating myself but its because people always take this in the worst way possible but just because i say their relationship was rocky doesnt mean im saying they dont love each other!!! thats the entire basis of mias character!! saying she doesnt love ethan would destroy her entire character!

you can see in the re8 DLC how fondly ethan talks about mia! he loves her so much, though im not sure if his comments in the DLC are him narrating current (post re8) or his thoughts before everything went down and he died (pre re8)

everything mia did was because she LOVED ethan. she would never do anything to intentionally hurt him, she is not a cruel person. she hides the truth of her job from ethan pre re7 because she loves him and doesnt want her job to drive them apart. she CONTINUES to refuse to tell ethan the truth post re7 because she wants to move on a live a happy normal life with him and knows something like her being directly associated with the connections would probably cause (more) problems. she refuses to tell ethan that he is mold because again, hard to live a happy marriage with your husband after you tell him hes a bioweapon.

obviously i dont think it was right that she did this, thats what makes her selfish! she did it for herself! she did it for her family! she thought it would work out, she thought that they could move on and be happy together.

the issue is that ethan didnt want to forget. he wanted to know what happened, he wanted to know the part mia played, he wanted answers! which is reasonable! he knows to some extent that mia was partially responsible for his involvement and he was always suspcious that mia was lying to him about her job which is implied when mia says "you were right, i did lie to you"

she doesnt learn, she doesnt stop lying, her lies get bigger and worse and it sucks yeah but it makes her so interesting!!! she keeps doing stupid things under the idea that this is whats best for her and her family, that if she hides this everything will work out and it will be for the better but its not!

just because telling your husband hes dead and a bioweapon is a hard subject to bring up doesnt mean you DONT bring it up. people shouldnt use that as a reason to excuse mia 😭, its a very bad excuse and honestly highlights how horrible their communication skills were. you cant just not tell your husband that he is actually infected with the mold and not tell him for the tree years between post re7 and pre re8.

im not saying these things to put mia down, or try and villanize her. these are all just actual things her character does! she isnt evil, but she isnt a knight in shining armor either. we need to be able to have talks about complex characters without crying everytime someone points out a flaw. characters have flaws! and mia just happens to have a lot of them!

im not mad at her, i dont dislike her because i think this way of her. shes a fictional character! you can like characters that are morally gray, or villains that drink blood and make corpse soldiers. they are fictional! pointing out the flaws of a character does not mean i dont like them.

i wouldnt call her "the real villain of re8" but i wouldnt treat her like a damsel in distress either. she is a competent person, she knows what shes doing, she has her reasons for doing them. she made bad descions with good intentions behind them! they can coexist and we should let them!

i like mithan! its a complex relationship because they both love each other so much but hurt each other in the process

its even more frustrating that mia straight up just disappears???? in the shadows of rose DLC... like she just stops taking care of rose and theres nothing said about it. no reason or explanation. i dont think mia would ever ditch rosemary because she didnt care about her, but we probably will never know because capcom sucks at writing and they probably forgot the mia ever even existed.

all in all, i think the fandom is really just full of misinformation which make people either think mia is some horrible evil person, or its full of people who think that saying mia messed up is the equivalent of comparing her to wesker lol.

i really love mia, shes a incredibly fun and complex character, its just hard to enjoy her sometimes with the people in the fandom haha.

did metadede so its time for metalor and metasusie! putting both of these under the cut because youre getting my double opinion whammy. obligatory "its not every shipper obviously im just generalizing based on personal experience" dont let my opinions stop you from shipping something unless its like problematic obvs lol

theres nothing wrong with metalor but it unfortunately does fall into my "red flag ship" category

ill reiterate my definition of that again for people who didnt catch it in my last rant: what i call red flag ships are ships that are totally fine on paper, but for some reason the shippers and fandom culture surrounding it are just rancid and it throws me off liking the ship all together. and then i get kinda sussed out by people who ship it

honestly i have never gotten the appeal of this one or understood the dynamic at all. and thats fine of course. i did try reading a couple fics about it even, and in them its usually like. meta doing some shit that makes absolutely no sense under the guise of "he has a good reason for it" that just Coincidently happens to land him and magolor into some relationship-implying situation. and also the "good reason" meta knight had for doing whatever was not a good reason and was in fact a huge stretch of a reason for sake of moving the relationship along quicker. which you know i dont shame at all, i get that sometimes you just want to get to the juicy shit and people are absolutely allowed to do that, but that really just sums up my feelings on the ship entirely lol. stretches and stretches of reasonings for them to get together that dont entirely, or sometimes even remotely, make sense but okay they end up together in the end somehow 🤷

the fact that the ship is the two most popular and thirsted over men in the series together is the reason why this one lands into red-flag territory im so sorry. it attracts some um. interesting people who end up being somewhat pretentious about their own interpretations on the characters and some people get a little scary or intense about it. also of course occasionally their relationship being boiled down to whoever ships them nonstop thirsting for both of them but thats like just fandom culture for you, i really cant judge. people do that with metadede too to be fair. also a lot of metalor shippers ive seen are just downright mean for some reason. anyone else notice that or have i just been running into bad people

as people might be able to tell by how fairly neutral about it i seem, this one is yeah one of the less red flag-y of what i consider red flag ships. its totally fine. i personally really dont like the ship but its only like 60-70% of the shippers who i squint at compared to the Abysmal rates of other red flag ships. speaking of, by the way...............

i Do think its possible to ship this one in a healthy manner. actually even in a not healthy matter as long as youre explicit about it being not healthy and its just one of those ships you find interesting due to the drama. ive read metasusie fics where it was explicitly about how fucked up the relationship can be and theyre very very fascinating from a story and character perspective if you want to explore a tragically evil but still nuanced susie. i would say highly recommend, but i dont actually because a lot of them just lean into weird unnecessary torture porn. its somewhat of a fine line between tasteful and untasteful

ANYWAYS brief tangent aside, i think its possible to ship this one in a healthy manner because you know me i would be a hypocrite to bash an enemies to lovers ship, but it obviously relies on susie needing to recognize her faults and make up to meta knight in some way, plus improve as a person in general. its somewhat of a grey area depending on various factors, both game and real life perspective-wise, how redeemable one considers the whole mechanization and dehumanization though so i dont blame people who absolutely dont trust the ship

i also want to bring up the people ship it out of spite, because theres been a big spite-shipping metasusie resurgence in the past year thanks to weird stalking drama sparked by a very certain someone people might remember. yall need to realize that going harder on something that understandably makes people uncomfortable and trying to push back by pretending the ship is (by default) more harmless than it is and pretending that everyone who dislikes it is automatically being unreasonable just because Some people are yikes to metasusie shippers is Not the play to take. it just makes you look like an inconsiderate asshole. two people being assholes to each other does not cancel out it just makes an even bigger fire. get some critical thinking skills yeah

hes the only kid whos neutral on henry other than jake, because he doesnt know henry or charlie very well and therefore doesnt really. know whats going on between them. to him, henrys just meghan and sammys boss.

as for meghan!!! he likes her actually!!! she reminds him of his friends after theygrew up (bc the whole friend group still exists they just. dont have charlie. or maybe they will and charliebot will exist i havent decided. but ill probably just make him have a similar friend to charlie lol) he likes sammy too! just in general hes the nicest to them. sammy has a natural aversion to the animatronics because. well. yk. but michael understands that and hes pretty patient with sammy.

evan likes michael quite a bit actually! He loves Cassidy, of course, but when theres three of them? yeah no he needs someone normal to talk to. and michaels pretty normal! Hes very nice to evan even if he doesnt understand his situation very well

tossing veycer there for scale and also because hes important to their fucked up sibling dynamic. but i think sheala would make u go insane analyzing.

sheala has a LOT of depth and theres a lot of politics involved (one day i think i will have to make a heres volfoss' politics in a silly slideshow or something bc there is so much.) so i will do my best to explain why i think you would like her :)

first off. she is very good at hiding her tragedy and well um. theres not a better example of this than on the ikuaipe route (shes part of the ikuaipe army, which is like one of the 3 major countries in volfoss). to simplify it as much as i can, there is a war going on bc asdenia (one of the other big 3 countries) refuses to export rare metals to ikuaipe, who use them to make drugs. there is no reason explained for WHY they stopped this but thats all u really need to know about the war bc its complicated and they get into a lot of stuff w the drugs (specifically on like. how withdrawal is handled and how restricting supply from people isn't immediately going to fix their issues etc, its handled very well) in detail in game but. sheala's older brother is veycer who is the head of the army (he fucking sucks. i hope he dies soooo bad but he is also written with depth and like. kind of even tho he DOES some over the top evil stuff [like well. the incident im about to get into lol], he still is given enough character that he's fleshed out properly. all of the "villains" are but thats besides the point.) plays a very big part in well. why sheala would make you go make so many character studies on her.

anyways dear god. politics explained and hatred for veycer being put in there in advance. sheala goes on a mission (where shes a commander, so has a decent amount of responsibility there, and more specifically is leading the rear of the troops, veycer is leading the front) and gets ambushed pretty bad. to the point that when shalvas (who you would also love. but it would take me like 3x as long to get into his diseases. i promise youd love him tho, hes the silly protagonist) arrives, theres just one soldier left of her unit bc the rest of them were killed, and that soldier dies shortly after. sheala is facing one of the four heroes (who basically are some of the strongest characters in the world, and are sworn to remain neutral (they are not by the point of the war, so one of them is fighting on the side of asdenia. its a lot of politics im so sorry) and a BIG amount of very tough enemies on her own when shalvas arrives. shes dealing with a ton of guilt about the entire team she was leading dying (which honestly like. she couldnt do much about bc of how strong the guy thats part of the 4 heroes is) and is completely determined to stay, even if it costs her her life. she's someone thats very loyal and very stubborn and this is not so great for her. thankfully, shalvas is able to persuade her by basically saying hey. if you died it would cause more trouble for veycer than if you lived. thats the ONLY way she would go back despite being in pretty bad shape and being completely willing to let her life go there.

on the way back, shalvas clearly is having the very awkward moment of ok. she is clearly upset and i do not know how to make it better (he is like. very very blatantly written as autism to me, so he communicates in a way thats very awkward a lot of the time, or just is silent. which is honestly very cool of him), so after Sheala apologizes for everything to him, he tells her that she can always fight the hero again (because yk. she didnt die lol) and then IMMEDIATELY denies it when she asks if hes comforting him. their dynamic is really nice because its just like two weird as fuck guys trying to be friends.

which um. well you see. veycer sucks so bad. and he is incredibly mad at how badly sheala fucked up with letting her troop get killed (guy that loves to get so mad soooo much of the time for no good reason other than its fun for him). and hes having a little moment of its fun to do drastic punishment and despite another army officer (who youll def see a lot if you play, his name is auveon. hes friends w sheala) begging him to not do it, he orders sheala's execution. (and when i tell you i felt like i was going to puke reading this for the first time, i do mean it. this is the 2nd route ive done, so id already seen a lot of her and liked her a lot, and ofc the more ive interacted w her in this (and the last route) ive cared a lot more about her. so it was like oh ok. we are suffering). veycer basically is just like well um. she fucked up BAD and she cant get any leniency for that. yeah even if she IS my sister, people would see me as a weak commander if i gave her a lesser punishment so um lol. all of the soldiers are pleading with him to not do it and auveon asks if sheala wants to plead her case and um. well she says "I will follow Your Excellency’s orders. I am prepared to give up this life at any time if I am told to die." like. what is your DEAL.

she is fine eventually tho, just got demoted and veycer had the fucking nerve to be like omg i loveee my family thank you shalvas for protecting her. which is then like ok. did she know he wasnt really going to do it. or is he just lying to shalvas for fun. its insane to me they have such a fucking weird dynamic bc sheala worries about veycer a lot and then veycer is like um. ok i kill you with rocks and hammers. but i promise i love you.

ANYWAYS. some of the other things i really like about sheala. she has a quick temper and will NOT hesitate to call someone out on BS (this gets her in trouble a lot but shes very capable. when i fought her in the first route it was the worst fight of the game bc she is THAT strong) but she is also very kind as a person. she and turi-marrya (shes a water maiden but is also genuinely so fucking cool and i could go insane over her. easily.) in both routes ive played, despite being on opposing sides are very kind to each other and very polite (both of them having a lot of respect for the other, given some events in the game.) i think just like the way that she is facing a lot of tragedy (mainly due to VEYCER.) and yet is still brave enough to keep going but also does have a lot of moments where the grief does hit her and she is clearly struggling to deal with it. i think youd love her.

This is an rp with my partner that we called "Ghost is an Evil Henchman" as a placeholder name, before it stuck. (Henchman in a gender neutral type of way, all the vessels are genderless)

The RP mainly follows Quirrel and Hornet after they crashland on the beach. The rp is set in strictly the Sonic Boom universe, since thats the only one i watched and i think at the time the one my partner liked the most. This rp is based around a LOT of my fanon so if you want an explanation on that, you know where to ask ^_^ !

Sonic and Sticks finds the two of them. Quirrel and Tails IMMEDIATELY become bffs and make silly inventions together i love them. Meanwhile Hornet is having a lot of anger issues, especially directed at Quirrel. Shes pissed because shes crazily worried about her only living siblings (which will be Ghost, the mc of the game, Hollow, and Lost, whos been reanimated by lifeblood). But her anger at Quirrel also runs way deeper, from a LOONg time ago

(Hornet and Quirrel had an argument about the Dreamers. Quirrel told her that the sacrifices are for nothing, that even Monomon agreed, and Hornet has been furious about it ever since. She doesnt want to think that her mothers death was for nothing.)

Eggman attacks and they have to stop Hornet from literally beheading him which i think its rlly funny

Freaking the fuck out. Because they are in a cage. Instead of appearing with their sister and Quirrel, they instead popped into Eggmans lair

Now. I dont think me or mel ever talked about HOW they got there. Quirrel and Tails tried to question it, but never got rlly far and were just focused on how to get back.

So anyways. Ghost has a lot of issues that they cover up because they are "the Savior of Hallownest" and their sister needs help as the new queen with the survivors of the infection to build from the ground up again

Eggman, unintentionally, pushes on Ghosts insecurities that their sister doesnt truly like them. So they work for Eggman. And that almost spells out Sonics fate because its nearly canon that there is no enemy too powerful for Ghost. They are literally a God.

From what I remember, a bit happens after that. Quirrel finally breaks after Hornet yells at him again, calling her out because "You're not the only one who lost everything. You're not the only one who has had to kill your family. You are not the only survivor of the infection." My Quirrel fanon (aka, singed!quirrel) is one of my favorite side stories of mine. It has to do with his antennas, getting burned, almost assassinated.. yeah theres a lot

We kind of faded out of this rp, the last response to it was a hell of a while ago. We had plans such as meeting Hollow and Lost, and even having a fight between Shadow and Ghost where Shadow gets his ass handed to him and is like "okay, this is a problem." We had a scene planned where Ghost actually managed to stab Sonic, which finally made him realize Ghost was a genuine threat. I even secretly had an idea where Quirrel and Tails get kidnapped and Quirrel is trying to convince Ghost that Hornet still does love them and will not, in fact, murder them on sight (he is not successful)

In a new rp called Reflecting the Light, where both Hollow Knight and Sonic characters are present, we do occasionally get a conversation between Shadow and some of the vessels. Im pretty sure Shadow and The Hollow Knight talked at one point, but im not entirely sure.

All in all, Hollow Knight is a beautiful yet heartbreaking game. It's really hard, I still havent done the Path of Pain vecause i spent 5 hours on the White Palace and i am not emotionally ready to suffer through PoP. I havent even beaten NKG. But i hope this helps ^_^ if you like hollow knight and/or sonic PLEASE let me know and ill talk about them in reflecting the light!!! I love that rp from the bottom of my heart

YAYAYAYAYAYAY I WILL HAPPILY [can you tell this was apart of our special interest at one point]

I dont think flowey's headmates necessairily need to be fully transformed into their own forms to be front, i beleive they can be front triggered at any time [for examplw, asriel was triggered to front towards the end of the genocide route, probably in an attempt to protect the body by hoping to build pity in the player, the same at the end of the neutral route, when flowey begins to cry as he is given mercy, i imagine that was asriel, which then triggered flowey and chara to fuse [thats discussed below] and front]

Adding onto this, i also beleive chara, as a headmate in floweys system, is more similar to the fandom-ified chara, as this is how asriel saw them, more evil and chaotic, not evil to the point of murder, but still an overly mischievious prankster, and i beleive the genocides flowey committed often were him and chara fusing briefly, similar to omega flowey, so flowey and chara seperately, are just some heavily chaotic, fucked up, kids, but their personality fused came out a little more destructive then usually, and over time these often brief fusions probably took a toll on flowey, and made him more and more closer to this fusion, then to how he was on him own.

I also beleive Flowey was one of the last headmates to form, not including some of the factives, and that they formed ; asriel first, as he may be some form of core, the god of hyperdeath next, who formed to protect them from chara, as they seemed to bully often, aswell as they seemed to be going threw their own trauma, and I'm sure this caused some form of second hand trauma, chara as a factive probably appeared next after they died, during this period asriel was host, however our best pal showed up after they tried to kill themselves, after they spoke to toriel, he formed for obvious reasons, for the body to protect itself. From this point on, flowey was host. After this he progressively formed more factives, as to cope with the fact that he cannot contact his family. Specifically papyrus as a factive may of formed after he killed him the first time around.

Flowey also himself may not be a flower in headspace, atleast not constantly, i imagine hes some form of partly human, or was before he latched onto the identity of the body, due to asriel at the time idolising chara, and as a general seeing humans as both violent and strong.

I imagine flowey did figure out he was a system when he left the underground, telling his therapist first [theres no way this flower wasnt given therapy], then frisk, who [consentually] continued to tell everyone else. Which means everyone knows, specifically papyrus happily calls floweys headmates "Floweys Friends", as well as struggles with saying the god of hyperdeaths name [often saying it fast when he fronts, like "thegodfhypdeath"] usually taking a deep breath before hand. Papyrus is also the only one who refers to the god of hyperdeath by his full name, making this even more frustrating, as most just refer to him as death.

Papyrus also probably gave each of them their own coloured scarf, like at the christmas party in that unreleased phone app, so they could wear them depending on whos front.

Also adding the god of hyperdeath, i like to imagine he realllyyyyy likes goth make up, which looks really funny on the flower body, he also often dresses frisk in goth, against frisks will.

I also imagine both flowey and chara are proud persecutors, they're proud pf this label together, and continue to use it even after they healed, because they dont see persecutors as evil, but as what protected them during the toughest time [aswell as them just being really edgy silly kids, who also proudly call themselves villains and evil]

( the reader is still a child so their kind of learning how to be evil or something? )

After an hour or so, I got off the game to take a break. I decided to go play with my dog, we went outside to play fetch. After some time i wasnt feeling well and decided to go back inside for a nap. You layed on the couch with your dog and fell asleep, then woke up in a whole new world.

The cookies of darkness and just outside of the kingdom gates. The look for the roads to be clear, then swiftly enter. They make there way to the Palace. They stay just out of sight of the guards.

“Alright, dark enchantress said dark choco, red velvet, and poison mushroom stay and distract the guards. Afogato is waiting for me and licorice on the side door.” Pomegranate explained.

Everyone hummed and got moving.

Licorice and pomegranate went up the stairs, it was easy to find your room. The door is the biggest and decortated with your favorite things. They opened the door, and saw you and your dog asleep.

“Alright I’ll get baker-” Pomegranate started.

Then they heard shuffling in the room next door.

OMG NAME TWINSIES but hi i keep looking at this ask and going "man i REALLY gotta answer this but i have so many flowey thoughts which one should i Go With..." so here are my Most Recent Flowey Analysis Thoughts that i just made my friend listen to :)

i was thinking about how flowey does this. Thing. when he believes someone is his friend. Hes A Big People Pleaser when it comes to people he likes and i think it has something to do with how he interacted with chara,,, chara clearly had some Issues (i talk about this later in this post... i am saying now that chara is Not Evil and if i see Anyone treat them like they are i will scream and throw a temper tantrum) and the few times we see asriel and chara talk its basically just asriel trying to cheer them up or he tries not to upset them (also stating here thats there a Lot more to this cuz they clearly Were good friends given some content that didnt make it into the game and literally any of the context clues in new home. asriel Also just has some issues and he projects a lot but again i talk about this later so) And the way he talks to who he believes to be chara in the no mercy route is really interesting,,, cuz its just. its Exactly That. hes just praising them and going "oh thats a Wonderful idea chara. chara youre the only one that could understand me." and he doesnt cut it out until he realizes that chara might still be angry about their deaths and he goes from trying to convince them to leave to going "youre SICK stay AWAY from me".... and then he went and cried about it to asgore and Was Caught and he immediately tried to make up for it by killing asgore and going "see?? i didnt betray you!! it was all a Joke" and Once Again when he realizes he doesnt really have a way to come back from this he just begs them not to kill him it upsets me very much.

but then theres the way he interacts with frisk where he thinks theyre chara and goes "you HAVE to be friends with me you dont have a choice >:)" and he drops his whole. Flattery Thing. he figured if hes already forcing them to stay there and be friends with him then hes allowed to be a dick because its not like they can leave him Anyway. and when he realizes its Just Frisk whos trying to help him he goes back to his routine of being Very Sweet. he tells frisk he likes their name and that theyre gonna do great no matter what and that theyre the kind of friend he wishes he always had,,, and i dont think hes being untruthful but i Do think this is what he thinks friendship is because he never really had many friends.

he Also does this with papyrus where he Apparently compliments him a lot and offers him advice,,, and i think the way papyrus becomes friends with people is Very similar to what asriel thinks friendship is. papyrus seems to be a Lonely Guy but hes so nice and positive all the time and i think its VERY good for flowey to be friends with someone like that. cuz papyrus is so similar to asriel and flowey needs to know that asriel wasnt an idiot,,, he was just some Nice Kid who didnt know how to make friends.......

and then theres the way flowey presents himself to Anyone Else,,, when it comes to people just in general he seems to immediately try to be a Nice Guy They Can Trust just because thats how he thinks he needs to interact with people,, but with the player he drops all of that because he believes theyre Just Like Him. based on what he says in some neutral dialogue he seems to think that the player is just Acting Nice because they view everyone as a toy and this is just how theyre choosing to play the game this time around (and hes not really wrong about this half the time but the way ut compared flowey and the player a lot is a Whole Different Thing i could talk about forever) and flowey LOVES to project so he cant believe that someone might just genuinely be That Nice. but its interesting that he seems to. trust the player?? like enough to drop his Flattery Thing??? in his post pacifist dialogue hes still a jerk to the player and lets you know that Youre the one with the power to ruin everyones lives. and i think its very interesting..... i wish we got more interactions between flowey and other characters but he doesnt seem to want to Talk to anyone ever. except for papyrus because he Likes Papyrus.

(suicide/death tw) and i think a lot about his "ok wow i messed up REAL BAD i need to DIE IMMEDIATELY" and he does this. like. at least twice in ut. the first time when he thinks he cant feel love and Life Isnt Worth It but also in the neutral end where he tries to get you to kill him. cuz he messed up he Lost he was a Big Meanie and no one likes him so he should Just Die. and if you Dont kill him he goes "why. i dont Get It. why are you Being Nice To Me i just threatened to Kill Everyone??" And he decides to stay in the underground as some form of punishment (it doesnt Seem like thats what it is at first but. knowing him thats probably what it is deep down) but ALSO because he doesnt want toriel and asgore to know what he really is. he thinks it would hurt them too much and they would Hate Him so he has to stay away from them Forever so they Never Know their son is Kind Of A Jerk. and i think thats such an interesting part of his character

asriel is Constantly So Scared of people knowing hes anything but a Perfect Nice Prince cuz hes just. So Lonely. does not view himself as worthy of unconditional love. cries when you forgive and hug him cuz he doesnt Get It how could Anyone be nice to him after seeing who he Really Is........ i wonder if that kinda started after he stood up to chara,,, like the few times he Does stand up to chara something Bad immediately happens. he told chara he didnt like their plan and they said Something that made him go "no!! id never doubt You chara.... im not crying Big Kids Dont Cry." because hes a people pleaser and hes scared that chara wouldnt want to be friends anymore if he refused. and when he stopped them from killing everyone they Both Died. and asriel Confirms that yeah hes hated himself this whole time because he thought he messed up and because of Him Specifically they are Both Dead and for the Longest time he thought he should have just listened to them. and in the no mercy route the one time he stands up to chara gets him killed Again.

and i could also talk about how chara isnt bad for such a long time... i think chara is so interesting. i see a lot of people either portray them as violent or manipulative when its more like. theyre probably just really traumatized. they probably just talked to asriel the way they did Not because they were manipulative or whatever but because thats just the way they believe the world works. they probably didnt think they were allowed to cry because of something in their past and they tell asriel this not as a bully but as a fact that they learned. that Big Kids Dont Cry. and flowey treats the player the same way. hes learned that its kill or be killed and if youre nice you'll just get hurt. he believes this to be fact and he needs you to Know This

but back to floweys whole Friend Thing. i think its really interesting that he constantly insists hes your Best Friend. like... he clearly wants friends and hates being lonely and the title of Best Friend is something really important to him........ poor kid,, once again i think its very good he and papyrus are friends. they are Pals every day i think about the alarm clock dialogue and go oh my god papyrus gave him a Matching Scarf........ just like how he and chara had the lockets............ its another Best Friend Item hes Healing and making new friends...... and hes embarrassed to show that he might actually care about people.... And That Person Is Papyrus..... His Bestie.... i could also talk about my thoughts that flowey actually Can love and care about people but that hes just deeply traumatized but i really Will never stop talking if i get started on that...

a small analysis/rant of c!dream (+ a little c!techno) basing from atla

you know, ive rewatched all of atla for the reason of studying villains and redemption arcs (also bc i rlly love the show).

at first, i thought i would see more of c!dream in zuko, but when it got to the end, i became conflicted whether he would be taking the zuko or azula route.

zuko had uncle iroh believing in him with genuine love and support. he had the courage to regain his own honor and choose to change for the better all because he had someone to guide him. he also had his mother when they were younger before she vanished. he was accepted and forgiven by the others bc he swallowed his pride as he faced his own mistakes and failures.

but azula had no one. everyone attached to her was out of fear and she controlled them bc she hasn't learned how else to keep ppl. ty lee and mei weren't genuinely friends with her. they followed her out of fear (hence "my love for zuko overcame my fear for you" - mei). azula was still deeply hurt by their betrayal. she was also abused by her own father and raised to be this perfect killing machine, a tool for him to use. when everything was going perfect for her, all of that mental toll of having to be perfect and powerful caught up with her, breaking her down ultimately.

both of them had their own baggage loaded, filled with abuse, hate, and rage. in the end the ultimate fault is on the parents, namely ozai.

i wanna clarify that dsmp is no where near atla. there's no proper "main character" in dsmp where everyone is supposed to be "neutral", unlike atla, which is obviously aang. theres MANY many differences subjectively and objectively speaking, but paralleling the character from dsmp with characters who are solidly written (more professionally), it's good to see.

c!dream was seemingly all like azula for a whole second: closest friends (dream team) turning on him bc he's horrible, terrorizing the whole smp for total control, the clear pure evil maniac who was finally locked away before they could complete their final goal, and of course: very mentally unstable.

if there's anything dsmp and atla had in common, it's that the bad guys always got some issues behind them, just like every human.

thing is, c!dream could have a chance for a zuko path. there's.. c!techno, who could be the "uncle iroh" we need.

i mean seriously.. feared retired warrior that took down a nation, a LOOOT of previous war crimes, has rlly bad ass fighting skills, has a secret organisation that is transcends the governments' hold, changed his ways, and has a great sense of humor that can be rlly uplifting in a therpy kind of way??? hello??

c!techno is giving c!dream hope like uncle iroh gave zuko.. well. that's all depends on what the hell the dsmp writers has in mind.

will c!dream just go batshit insane, or can he.. redeem himself?

Dragon Age Redemption (of a Plot) Part 2

And here we go with the continuation, folks. I still tag @dalishious since I started this after a rewatch organized by her blog before disappearing in the world of exams. Part 3, the last part, is already done and will arrive for the end of the day. Are we done? Let's go.

-After Josmael heals his wound and accuses Tallis of stabbing him, Tallis does her "I've proven a point by stabbing you" bit and Josmael, who's kind but not going to validate this, says "and this was the best way?" but ultimately follows them because he wants to help his clan.

-Cairn does his "I'm not working with an apostate they are evil" bit but when he says "my job is to lock them up or exterminate them" Josmael points up his hypocrisy (and also points up that tecnically he is NOT an Apostate, he's part of a different religion. He's a First) Cairn obviously ignores him/tells him to shut up, then Tallis goes "well you two will have to keep an eye on the other and follow me them" because she's so neutral and wise /s

-"We hoped the elder of our clan Yeven escaped the Chantry" "nobody escapes the Templars" "The Sarebaas did" brings out the "The Chantry killed him?!?" "No he was being examined" piece and in answer Josmael tells that humans sometimes attack dalish who wander too far away from the clan and torture them (like we see the templars do in da2 and in many other occasions). Cairn takes offence and Josmael answers that "examined" is just torture so he has no right to talk. Tallis points out the Sarebaas involvement and tells Cairn to keep up and Josmael gives Cairn a silent sideye.

-They still have the conversation when Cairn tells Josmael that it's better his loved ones died when he was young "feels less painful this way". Josmael starts answering coldly, but he's immediatey interrupted by Tallis qun wisdom before he can tell anything. Josmael answers, angrily, that love doesn't makes people selfish but it's what matters in the world and to help the casual DA fan to get who's right the conversation mirrors the romancing Warden and Wynne dialogue from Origins, with Tallis saying duty is all that matters and Josmael saying it's better to love and loose that not love at all. But we skip the Cairn x Tallis bit yes? yes. He just say love matters and that they are old. The duo laughs at that and say they are half the age of the dalish elders, and Josmael looks at them and says "I did not meant age. You are old inside".

-We skip the "Templars aren't allowed to marry bit" because WHAT IS SER WEASLEY THEN BIOWARE.

-The gang ambushes Sarebaas in the cave, still busy doing his "magic is unknown even to mages and what is a little blood for a lot of power" bit. That was a bit cliche but cool, a classic villain monologue and I can appreciate the classics.

-The battle starts and I laugh at the special effects used for magic, but basically it goes as in canon there, with Nyree the Reaver defeating Cairn and breaking the philactery. The mask of Fen'Harel activates. Also the scene where Tallis shows Sarebaas his collar and his "never again" stays, because it's cool, but Sarebaas is shown recoil on instinctive fear at it because we are gonna point out that he's the main villain but his hate of the Qun is justified. The bad guys get away and the "good" guys (lmao Josmael is the only good one there) + Nyree are trapped in the cave.

-The new episode opens up with Josmael being the only one to clear the rabble because "responsable" for them being trapped (which is a ridicolous argument but w/) while Cairn interrogates Nyree. When Nyree says that as mercenary she does not talk and Cairn hits her, Nyree laughs and asks Cairn if that's what he does to mages and if so he should put more energy in it because he's pathetic. When Cairn attacks again he's stopped by Tallis that tells him that Nyree is a reaver and it was a trap to make him angrier since she gets more powerful with more pain. And also because I like to think that Nyree like Zevran is a decent person so while she was totally provoking him the dab at the Templars was honest. #MageRights

-Cairn says to Tallis that the philactery is now broken and the two have a fight that deranges in something that can be summed up as "what kind of chantry fool lets our best way to get our Sarebaas back be destroyed" "shutup knife ears" and Nyree laughs at them and say she knows what the Sarebaas is going to do. Tallis pays handsomely Nyree to side with them and shamelessy confess to have stolen from the Keeper wagon. Josmael retorts, in a baffled/horripilates tone, that those money belong to the clan and should br used to help them all and she had no right to it.

-Tallis answers that capturing Sarebaas will help them all and basically ignores all of Josmael rightful anger. Cairn yells at the apostate that he would have totally killed Sarebaas if not for Josmael incompetence.

-Nyree proves that Cairn was basically torturing mages, remembering him from the prison. Josmael, still angry, sides with Nyree but Cairn is unrepentant. Tallis cuts off the discussion and the gang discovers that Sarebaas is going to Sundermount. Josmael rightfull is in anxiety at the idea of the woman he loves being killed for a blood magic sacrifice.

-Josmael looks at them broodingly/angrily in silence while they talk but then sighs and tells them of the shortcut.

-"What you know of this ruins?" "It's an ancient place of power from our people time" and Tallis goes with her "not our, yours". I shake my fist angrily at Bioware dividing elves but let it pass since honestly Tallis they are better without you get off that high horse.

-Lmao I forgot Nyree asks if Sarebaas could destroy qunari and chantry using the mask to call an army of demons. That's kinda of one my Tevinter ocs plan *toasts a drink to my gloriously evil woman*

-Nyree rightfully points out that Sarebaas was hurt and enslaved all his life and wants revenge but instead of saying "he's pissed at the world" she more openly says that the Qun made this. Tallis answers the usual propaganda of the qun piece of Sarebaas needing control and that's the only piece where I allow some Tallis x Cairn and only in a sarcastic sense. Nyree looks at them and tells Tallis she's no better than the Templars, even if she thinks she is and sarcastically adds "you two would make a great couple, killing kids together for their magic"

-They reach the conveniently placed carboard of an inn in the middle of nowhere instead that near abitations of roads. I'm sure they make great buisness.

-They talk while eating and Nyree informs them and us that she's from Nevarra, which explains why she is more open to magic than many others. If you are a casual DA fan don't worry, because Cairn will try to take a dab at the Mortalitasi, calling them "wicked necromancers" and trying to insult Nyree which gives our favourite woman in the group the occasion to shut him up and also briefly talk about the mortalitasi and say "the grip of the Chantry is weaker there".

-Then they talk about the Reavers abilities and at least there everyone is like "wow cool" because yes reavers are great and we should have knightly orders of reavers instead of chevaliers.

-Obbligatory Cassandra Allegra Portia Calogera Filomena mention (<3) that part stays the same because I hate how Tallis tries to get in Nyree head but Nyree is perfectly capable to shut her up without my help.

-Josmael asks about Tallis mission, Tallis talks about qunari titles and how she was demoted and how she killed an orlesian slaver. Literally the only vaguely bonding part of the gang, if we ignore the Cairn and Tallis romance subplot (and we do, it doesn't exist. He still compliments her but not in a romancey way)

-For clarity Tallis still can/does vaguely flirt with Cairn in this scene but it is the typical spy flirt she does with Hawke too since the start and it is obvious both to Cairn and the audience than theres no romance and it's just part of Tallis personality (and as long as she doesn't stab mages Tallis can do what she wants)

Mort for the character asks thing?

How I feel about him- I love chaotic neutral/evil characters who just do shit for no reason. And I adore how he snuck his way into this kids franchise because he's adorable even though he's a disgusting little menace. I love the whole wolf in sheep's clothing thing, he's just great

Romantic ships- I actually dont really have many considering how different he is from everyone. Like he's in a separate world entirely from other characters and only shares traits with other Morts. I've considered if I had to ship him, Smart Mort would be cute. Like they have that straight laced and feral dynamic I like but by all canon they hate each other and are also each other entirely so idk.

BroTP- I like the dynamic with clover and Mort because clover has a soft spot for him somehow and she's actually pretty accommodating of his quirks. And while he's pretty indifferent to everyone but julien, he's actually acted like a bud to her a few times like on the vacation with xixi. He and willie also have something going on but I dont consider willie enough as a character to really lean into that.

Unpopular opinion- considering the fandom is so small theres not much disk horse about interpretation. Maybe my whole thing about how I wish exiled and the final season didnt confirm so much about the rules of what he is. Mostly the grandpa Mort episode. I like that they leaned into his character and made him a focal point of the show, the idea of the crazy one off weird line guy actually becoming something of influence on the plot needs to happen more, but I still would have preferred a bit more ambiguity about his powers and his creation.

BELLUS: he’d like to have more colors to his eyes & instead of just blue like tink and amatheia have. though hes also against dying his hair, he wants that natural shit! he also is v much against colored contacts because they felt too weird to wear the first time he tried them. he cried them out rip

MERI: be taller. he wants to be the tallest person in the room. heels aren’t his forte, he runs too much to be able to not trip every five seconds and wont take the time to slow down to get used to heels

CASPIAN: tbh hes pretty confident in himself and his looks already. maybe just not having to wear glasses or contacts but hes otherwise neutral to the fact he has them in the first place. may or may not sometimes wear colored contacts and heels to make meri and bellus jealous

KENN: also pretty confident in how he looks tbh. if he was given the chance though, he would consider maybe being more built both because he thinks it looks nice and because itd be easier to stop meri from doing dumb shit

📀 How easy is it to shock your OC? To confuse them? To lie to them, to manipulate them? How are they with feelings of trust? Can your OC be trusted?

BELLUS: he is..... very easy to shock and confuse. he doesnt pay much attention to others beyond looks and anything else that catches his eye, and he still doesnt know much about the mainland & how it differs from neverland. the main thing keeping him from believing everything said about the mainland from others is the rest of the mermaid quartet telling him when someones lying. bellus himself doesnt lie much tbh but that doesnt mean he Never lies. his lies are... harmless for neverland standards but of course since things are Different there, they can be more malicious seeming to mainlanders. he doesnt have evil intent tm but people should still be wary about trusting him.

MERI: grew up with caspian who is a habitual liar but still manages to fall for all kinds of lies from both caspian and other students. he gets v annoyed and huffy whenever he falls for lies. he’ll keep a grudge against them for it until the next time he needs them for something. trusting meri on the other hand is a very confusing route. it really depends on the relationship someone manages to have with him. his pranks can be more mean than bellus’s and he wouldnt hesitate to take advantage of someones trust in him if theyre only acquaintances or less since, to him, he doesnt think theyll really care. when it comes to friends, he tries to not use their trust against them as much but sometimes his nature gets the best of him

CASPIAN: v good at keeping a straight face and calm facade so its hard to tell if he genuinely believes someone elses lies or not. living in neverland means hes seen a lot of weird shit before so shocking caspian is also a hard achievement. there’s also the fact that caspian tends to be listening in on conversations even if he doesnt outwardly look like he is so theres a fifty percent chance he was aware of someones plan to lie to him before they even approach. being tricky was encouraged by his mom so he lies A Lot to others sometimes out of habit but mostly out of just wanting to create a funny (to him) situation. those who’ve somehow still managed to get close to him though can notice his subtle tells. that isnt to say meri still hasnt fallen for his lies even now

KENN: he not only grew up in neverland but kenn grew up having to deal with meris pranks the most. by now he just has a sixth sense for bullshit and no longer is able to be shocked by most things (other than genuine praise-). he cant really explain how he knows but he Knows when someones lying to him and he wont hesitate to call them out if he isnt amused. trust is kind of hard to keep around mermaids so he takes it seriously when someone tells him they genuinely trust him. though he thinks mainlanders give their trust away too easily... regardless, he’ll ignore any temptation to mess with their trust and try to live up to the standards he thinks they have for him

Hey there! Been a bit busy with life, so sorry for taking awhile to answer to this!

I think it's a bit more complicated than light vs dark magic, as magic doesnt really work that way, I feel. Magic just is. So how it affects the world is all based on who wields it and their intentions.

There are different types of magic - offense, defense, protection, ritual, summoning, transfiguration, necromancy, etc. But theres also different origins of magic - Celtic, Egyptian, Bruja, Voodoo, all from different cultures that have their own deities and sources. Christian based spirituality may view Wiccan as evil, but that doesnt objectively make it so. At least, to the Wizard it doesnt.

(Though to him, magic breaking the cycle of life and death is often considered chaotic and is frowned upon, so I suppose healing vs necro is the basic good vs bad? But like, what is Good for the Balance may not be Good for the People, ya know. But healing a monster bent of world destruction is worse than bringing Superman back to life. It's very Lawful Neutral, I suppose. But then again, Death has her own rules).

The Wizard is the true/current catalyst that is keeping the balance of magic in check. And Marvel is his main way of doing so. Magic flows through the Rock and into the Earth and all its connective planes of reality, so what is known as Balance is hard to measure. The Wizard just ensures no tremendous amount of magical power is harnessed to one magic wielder without a counterbalance in play. (Though nonmagic users may view magic itself as overpowering, which...it kinda is. But it has checks and balances. And it's really weird and difficult to manage anyway).

That balance is usually in the form of Certain Rules and Self Regulations that a lot supernatural or religious figures have - like werewolves with the moon and silver, Fae with iron and sand and word choices, rituals needing very specific qualification, etc. No one plane of magic can really totally outweigh another, though they may interact, it's like comparing apples to oranges. As living beings, the lot of them often keep to themselves anyway. The ones that tend to need outside regulation are humans greedy for power or magical forces wanting power or to cause chaos.

That's where Marvel steps in. Having access to the Rock and All Magic, he technically has the capability of interacting with all types of magic and spiritual power and can reach the power level needed to balance out any current threat, but also... that's incredibly OP on it's own and The Wizard is lowkey highkey still cautious of that kinda power being reached, so Marvel is mortal and human and hasn't reach that level of cognizance yet. Partly bc Billy still has a looooot to learn, but also the Wizard is the one to keep him in check. Marvel does what needs to be done, but he does so at his own pace and often recruits help from his teammates or friends who can't say no to his friendly face.

What would happen when the Wizard dies and deems Billy worthy enough to hold the title of both Champion and Wizard??

fallout 5: america’s dairyland

takes place ~115 years after the bombs dropped

no fucking super mutants i mean it. they make me mad now im sick of them.

faction system!

the brahmin herders: wisconsin, being the dairy state, obviously had a very large bovine population during the great war, and that tradition continued even after the cows had mutated beyond recognition. brahmin are the cornerstone of the post-war midwest commonwealth’s economy. however, cattle rustlers and brahmin-tipping are both still problems, and theres lots of problemss to be dealt with.

ghoul brahmin farmers vs. normie brahmin farmers: the ghouls are pre-war farmers who are concerned about being overtaken by brahmin monopolies and by well-meaning people who are trying to re-establish the government. normie brahmin farmers took it up as a way to survive in the wasteland and generally dislike the ghoul farmers because, beyond being ghouls, theyre ‘old-fashioned’

the tunnelers: so for those who dont know, there are tunnels all under the east side/downtown madison that connect various buildings. im picturing these in fallout-verse being designed as bomb shelters, but since the bombs dropped on a saturday, not many people were able to get there in time, and they didnt have everything they needed, so they just stayed there. maybe a vault is also down there, but separate from the tunnelers- the wealth divide comes up.

trading opportunities- its a whole little city down there, plus the vault. people think the vault is haunted cause the first thing anyone in wisconsin does is blame their problems on ghosts.

the university: so for those who dont know, the uw system has something called the ‘wisconsin idea’- the influence of the university ends at the state borders. uw system as a whole is known for agriculture mostly, so they have ties to the brahmin herders. uw system ALSO is a huge research campus, so they have ties to vault-tech as well. sort of like the institute, but they have goals- true neutral/neutral evil, focused on studying the effects of the apocalypse on peoples’ psyche and biology. evil villain, but you can side with them.

one guy is like, a little conflicted? had family who worked for vault-tech. can be recruited as a companion

mccarthyists: so joseph mccarthy was originally from wisconsin. so i think there can be a pseudo religion built up around him- like he tried to protect america from the commies, and if it wasnt for him, then america wouldve been destroyed. or something like that at least i think its funny when we make fun of capitalists in video games.

i dont want this to be a faction but i DO want wisconsins native peoples to be a part of the game in a way that doesnt suck. especially with the mounds!!

so im really fucking sick of vault dwellers being  the PCs in fallout. so your guy isnt a vault dweller- im thinking a member of an exploratory/science/information gathering team from the university (but thats a secret end-game spoiler) and choosing your SPECIAL score is how you decide what role you played in the crew. anyway you have amnesia after the whole crew got massacred by mirelurks. cause madison is fucking full of lakes.

the main plot would revolve around recovering your memories also cause im a sucker for that plot device. its my fantasy fallout game and i get to choose what the plot is.

also there would be fishing. because this is fallout fucking five: america’s dairyland.
