I love Alenoah academic rivals.

Noah didn’t used to try in school, he was lazy and made As and high Bs so why would he?

He gets paired up with Alejandro, which Noah thinks he’s just like every other rich kid, stupid and going to ask him to do all the work. But no, Alejandro questions him and challenges most of Noah’s answers, even if Alejandro was wrong he made Noah second guess himself.

That pissed Noah off so much.

Who did Alejandro think he was to make him second guess his correct answers in his favorite subject. Did he just enjoy playing devils advocate?

Slowly but surely in class Noah started to participate.

Alejandro had an opinion about an opening paragraph, Noah would tell him why he’s wrong. Noah shares his thesis, Alejandro immediately tells him what he needs to fix.

The teacher had to move their seats away from each other and yet they still argue across the classroom. Constantly challenging the other to be better, do better, have the higher grade. Until Alejandro seemingly changed his tactics.

He decided to sit next to Noah. Luckily having a substitute that day so the teacher didn’t move him.

Noah tried to get up to move but the rest of the seats were taken. Whatever, he could use this to his advantage too. Noah’s mission was to annoy Alejandro, Alejandro’s mission was to get Noah to fall in love with him.

I'm in such a rut of writing fear and trying to workshop my tdw ideas with myself but that bitch hates all my ideas and also me.

#the 2.9 i have finished so far are very like. present day domestic.#ive done nothing in the action or drama or au settings #i think because most of the stuff ive done that's more experimental gets met with crickets #except like one au that im now scared to touch #and like - obvs u dont write for attention. but also no feedback /is/ some feedbacj #but then - does that mean i need to do more of that to improve? i wanna be well rounded@#when i look at my drafted stuff outside of td its all very domestic and mundane kinda too. maybe i just cant do adventure anymore #idk man #sigh

workin on a little gift for the holidays for y'all bc i'm so damn slow with the affair au (which i've weirdly started writing backwards? it's funny how that helps sometimes, but it's helped a lot)

it's not gonna be super polished and spit-shined like i usually try for, but it's something i was hoping to get around to every year, if that doesn't spoil the surprise lol

I will say the one really enjoyable part of RR that you don’t get in TD is the either/or challenges. a lot of the lesser tier character dismissals were due to really unfair circumstances (like Gwen and the koala) and I enjoy giving them not only a choice, but the option to switch if one isn’t working. Chris has gotta give those kids the illusion of choice

#I will say some of them were NOT evenly weighted like. you telling me catching as fish is as hard as dancing #(spoilers: the dancing is so much easier)#the only reason Dwayne and Junior didn't finish it in 3 seconds was Dwayne was trying too hard #admirable but not needed #piggy's TD posting
