i like my men broken and bleeding (solas) with an incredibly tragic backstory (solas) that only i am privy to (solas) because the idea of eternal loneliness is more horrifying than the idea of finally opening up to someone (solas) even if doing so makes them want to be sick on the cold, hard ground (solas) before they inevitably realize that we are stronger together (solas) and continue to struggle for dominance in the never-ending abyss of 'i love you and that love has destroyed me' (solas!!!)

i always feel bad when i see how the point of a lot of saiki's personality traits flew right over the heads of a lot of fans due to him being an unreliable narrator and a tsundere lol.. so a lot of things he says are immediately proved to be untrue and often just him putting up a front, but some people dont pick up on it..
like i see a lot of "haha saiki would never want to watch a romance movie" guys there is an entire chapter (170) dedicated to him being like "i much prefer mysteries to romance stories.." and then immediately becoming absolutely enamored with a romance story.. he was lying, guys, LMAO
less specific ones include:
"i hate children, they annoy me" *goes out of his way to help kids, comfort them, be kind to them, etc.*
"i only use my powers for self gain/my own convenience." "anyway my mama told me to never use my powers selfishly so i always use them to help people and i try my best not to use them for personal gain<3"
"those guys are so annoying, i would never hang out with them willingly." "yeah it took them about two sentences to convince me to go with them. their thoughts seemed like they really wanted me to go, so i did. i didnt want them to be upset. not that i care about them or anything."
(sorry i post about this kind of thing a lot, i just giggle a lot at how the entire manga is so easily misinterpreted and thousands of people have watched the show but didnt pick up on the main characters most defining character traits and frequent bits.. i think there needs to be a masterlist or something disproving all the extremely common misconceptions about saiki k lol)

I will never stop posting Batman and Superman co-parenting Robin. Dick Grayson was Superman’s first born son and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Robin!Dick: *sneaking back into the batcave*
Batman: *turns on light like a sitcom mother* Superman?
Superman: Batman?
Batman: Someone needs to be put in air jail for going on patrol without my permission and nearly killing several people.
Superman: I see…
Robin!Dick: No…No, please!!! You don’t understand! I’m innocent I swear! Uncle Clark I’m so so innocent! Honest!
Superman: You were on camera.
Robin!Dick: It was photoshopped!
Batman: It was a video.
Robin!Dick: ummmmhmmmm yes I see that now….
Batman and Superman: 🤨
Robin!Dick: his kneecap was like that when I got there?
Superman: Okay so we’re lying too? That’s not gonna get you very far mister. You know where lying gets you?
Robin!Dick: Air Jail… 😑
Batman and Superman: Air jail.

Despair disease
#danganronpa#sdr2#nagito komaeda#hajime hinata#komahina#sayaka maizono#makoto naegi#oooooohhhhhh boy chapter 3. uh. daily life was great#the case itself. probably my least favourite of the game#despair disease. on one hand rip hinatas issues that he hears komaeda go 'I hate you go away' and can only respond with 'wha-FINE I will'#and not. ya know. realize the whole liar's disease going on#on the other hand hinata. the liar's disease. oh my god#at this point in the game I was more sympathetic to komaeda and focused less on hinata#but in retrospect now that Hinata is Best Boy Doing His Best Always Moving Forward#dang kinda insane how two-sided the sabatage of their relationship is#that yes komaeda's self deprication/actions pushes people away and makes them distrustful of him#but hinata is also all too willing to take anything even slightly doubtful of him at face value then turn away from it#the idea that hinata is filled with so much self doubt he is So Unwilling to hear anything negative Komaeda says about him#(bc Hinata still cares what Komaeda thinks about him! What everyone thinks about him!)#that he can't look past the obvious liar's disease and would rather leave komaeda altogether while still grappling with why he cares#about the other. these two are so similar their relationship implodes so badly over the game oh my god I think about them constnatly#uhhhh anyway second pic is my 'komaeda is maizono 2 To Me' agenda#apologies to all the naezo.no shippers i ship them too I just ship them in a way where they keep breaking up#wait a second that's just the canon komahina dynamic...... skldhfs#dr playthrough doodles#my art

Man, Matoba Seiji is such a yapper.
He looks so mysterious with that all black traditional clothes, creepy af eye patch, an exorcist job, and an entourage, but this man sees a teenager and just opens his mouth like there's no tomorrow. Like bruh, you don't need to over share.
I don't know if I should feel sorry or laugh whenever he trauma-dumps to a literal teenager who wants nothing to do with him, or to his high school crush who also wants nothing to do with him, but he doesn't know that he's sharing the saddest parts of his youth so casually.
I don't know what to feel about him. He's such a yapper.

you mentioned the arrows stealing tim from the bats and i just had the hilarious idea of that + jaytim
poor oliver would lose his mind bc he goes and saves tim from the bats and then tim brings one of them home
put it back tim you don't know where that's been
i'm CRYING this is so funny. it's even funnier given what Jason did to Mia. like of all the morally questionable mob bosses Tim could've dragged home, he had to pick *that one*? Oliver is trying to be supportive of Tim and give Tim more agency than Bruce gave him, bc Oliver worked *hard* to steal this one and he's not going to lose all of the progress he made. and it does seem like Tim's doing *somewhat* of a decent job of making Jason less murdery. and Jason agrees to the rule he'll keep out of the Star City scene, but Gotham's still his fair game. and honestly, that makes Oliver like him just a *little bit* because if he's going to make Bruce's life more difficult, maybe Jason is alright.
it also does *not* help that when Oliver goes to Roy for support bc Roy agrees that Jason is untrustworthy as hell. but Roy is *also* the guy who had a daughter with Chesire, so the best he can do is give Oliver a shrug.
also think it's fun if Tim is sort of tense, expecting Oliver to put his foot down and tell Tim no. like he's not used to a vigilante parental figure who's actually good at the parent part, so it's weird having this level of freedom, esp when he knows Oliver does disapprove. but Oliver lets Tim figure out hs own love life and make his own mistakes, even if he's ranting to Dinah about Jason until two in the morning. it doesn't help that Jason makes no move to try to get along with Oliver. he's just a shit to be a shit. at this point Tim is pretty sure Jason enjoys driving Oliver up a wall more than he enjoys dating Tim. who's to say if it's true.

WILD MAGIC KARLACH YESSS
Also I know you used it for Wyll, but Swashbuckler Rogue also fits Astarion imo. He's a fairly charismatic individual, and a lot of the Swashbuckler abilities tend to utilize said Charisma
SADJbfkdjhj he is NOT charismatic.
Tumblr media
Look at those stats. Literally the only people in the party he beats on the charisma front are Shadowheart (terrible liar) and Lae'zel (has the charm of a burnt bread loaf).
He is a 10. That's average level. My guy is basic.

Fiddleford is a liar.
He contextualizes his lies as being for the greater good-but he still lies.
I think people sometimes overlook this trait. Outside of calling him a two timer on his wife (Emma-May, I would treat you so much better, run away with me), it’s all pretty much treated as a joke. "Silly little banjo playing Fiddleford who goes crazy by scrambling his brains like eggs in a skillet after a monster attack." It's a very convenient compartment to slide him into without digging much deeper.
However, I think it runs so much deeper than that. To lie so effortlessly and all the time, it takes practice. I think he has been lying probably for his entire life-so much so that he doesn't even consider it to be lying. The entire foundation on what he eventually builds his cult is "helping" the townsfolk by "protecting" them from the "terrible" truths that surround them in Gravity Falls.
Only a practiced liar would invent something like the memory gun. Because at the end of the day, when you are lying all the time, you are able to convince yourself of the lies for a little while-but not forever. (If you are not a narcissist, which of all the things Fiddleford is, he is not that.) You will wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and remember what you did or what you are trying to cover up. The aspect of control over what at the time seemed controllable with a few false words now causing your heart to race, your breath to hitch, your head to ache. So, then you lie more, to cover up all the loose threads that would lead to what you've done. Eventually, you have dug a hole so deep, there is no end in sight.
The answer is simple-tell the truth, right? It would be the "right" thing to do...and it would shatter everyone's interpretation of you. Possibly dissolving any of the relationships you've built. Relinquishing control of the scenario you created. Because when you tell the truth, it turns into the "well, why would you do this?" conversation. Who wants to hear "because I wanted you to like me", "I didn't want to disappoint you", "I didn't want to make you angry" or "I wanted to be useful" in response? To see that look of utter disenchantment in their eyes as all your lies are revealed.
But....what if you could e r a s e the truth from your own memory? And not only your memory, but the memory of whomever you lied to. They would never have to know what you did. You would never have to face it. And you would never again be overcome with the feelings of inadequacies that triggered you to lie in the first place.
You wouldn't have to disappoint anyone, or yourself, ever again.
The Memory Gun started as a clever band aid to the trauma of the Gremloblin incident, yes. But it turned into something much more dangerous in the hands of an established and practiced liar.
