"NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING"
– ASAJJ VENTRESS/HUNTER 🔥
WARNINGS: TRANS ASAJJ, TRANS HUNTER, EXPLICIT SEX (DIRTY TALK, BIG DICK)
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"This is not what I was expecting when you agreed to come with me" Ventress retorts, voice full of sarcasm, while Hunter tries to catch his breath in front of her.
The leader of Clone Force 99 had been worried sick about the ex-sith's revelation about Omega. She had offered to train her; just enough to grasp a sliver of control of the Force. Just enough to hide herself, to remain unnoticed. Not that the Empire would stop looking after her –not when they already knew the truth–; but at least, her life sign wouldn't be screaming "force sensitive" for those physically around the girl. Hunter had inmediately shot down the idea unless he was allowed to tag along; and Asajj had reluctantly accepted.
Why did she want to help the girl? Well, Ventress knew everything about people wanting to take advantange of a helpless child; about being an expensable pawn in another's game, about families ripped apart. Plus, the Empire would find her someday too, no matter how hard she had been working to blend with the shadows. And for the Empire to be destroyed, there had to be enough force-sensitives –ex-siths, ex-jedis, new force users, it didn't really matter– alive. Asajj doubted the Empire could be defeated without them.
That didn't mean Ventress was chirpy about it. Hapiness just didn't seem to be in her vocabulary; in her range of emotions. Amused, entertained, not sad neither angry? Yes. But never plainly happy. It was just her personality; shaped after a whole life of teachings on dark arts and sith stories.
Surprisignly, her two new companions hadn't been as irritating as she had expected them to be. The kid's bubbly excitement could be tiring after a whole day of social interactions; and Hunter's initial side glances of waryness had gotten on her nerves at first. But the girl had learned when to give her space –it wasn't a difficult task, considering Asajj's sharp tongue– and Hunter... Ah, Hunter had been a very curious development.
Ventress had grown to... Well, perhaps like was too strong of a word, but it admitedly went further than tolerate. The clone was loyal and brave –but not the silly kind of bravery–; measured, always aware of his surroundings, perceptive and plainly hot. That definitely helped. There was a sort of primal, raw and masculine attraction going on for Hunter; and yet he was still surprisignly pretty. Perhaps it was the long hair or the sweet brown eyes; perhaps that narrow waist Asajj had eyed more than once.
No matter how curiously attracted she felt for him, though, Ventress never thought it would end like this; that he would be the one to grow a pair and kiss her. And oh, what a heated kiss it had been. Hunter was still panting in front of her, eyes flickering over her face while he tried to catch up his breath. Ventress had heard him moan low in his throat; felt the shiver spreading through his body when she had all but cuped his ass and grounded against him, letting him feel her bulge. The wide-eyed, confused but excited look on the clone's face had been nothing short of precious.
Ventress walked backwards –eyes never leaving Hunter's– and layed down on the matress of her ship; posture relaxed and tempting. Hunter seemed to be devouring her from his spot against the wall.
"I'm not complaining, though" she finally continued, making a tiny gesture with her head while she added in a sultry voice "Come here and take a sit on my lap, little clone".
Hunter's cheeks flushed a deep red. He hadn't seen this happening either. But he couldn't deny the way his heartbeat sped up when Ventress stepped close to him; or when she hissed a few words as an answer. Because that's how the woman spoke; in sharp hisses and confident whispers. Everything in Asajj screamed power; and that made Hunter's knees weak.
Hunter has always been a confident person himself; used to leading his squad and carrying the weight of decisions and responsabilities. He doesn't really understand then, why he gets so damn shy around Ventress; why his feet shuffle as if he's unsure to move forward. He wants to. He wants her. Why then does he feel so... afraid?
The woman observes him from the bed. It makes Hunter more nervous, but the arch of her eyebrow finally pushes him into action, and Hunter quickly jumps into the matress, one knee going over Ventress's hips and settling almost stubbornly on top of her. He's a sargeant. He has led his team into battle more times than he can count and survived to tell the story. It's just sex with... Ventress.
Ventress, who has a very well-endowed cock by the feeling of it and chuckles at Hunter's obvious reaction; a small whimper escaping his lips while he nervously adjusts on top of her.
The woman's long nails take hold of Hunter's own hips; keeping him in place.
Once again, she smirks.
"Like what you feel?" She asks, though it's nothing more than an observation at this point, really.
Hunter blushes and glances off to the side. Ventress chuckles and grabs his chin; forcing him to look at her.
"For a sargeant, you're surprisingly shy in bed" she points out, smile wide as a lothcat's. "Don't worry, little clone, we can just stick to kissing for a bit".
There's a sort of sarcasm to her voice; but Hunter seizes the oportunity to do something he wants and escape the weight of her stare and dips down to press his lips on hers. Asajj makes a tiny surprised sound, body tensing and coiling like a snake; then chuckles low in her throat and tugs him forward, deepening the kiss. She's rough, teeth nipping his lower lip, all-consuming; and Hunter quickly gets lost in it. His body heatens up; warmth climbing onto his cheeks. He's getting wet, now; and he can feel Ventress's bulge growing hard underneath him, and the knowledge drives him crazy.
He humps forward, unconsciously trying to grind on it; and Ventress groans, lips parting, head falling back to rest against the thin pillow. She studies him with hooded eyes. The clone looks delicious; long hair encasing his flushed face, eyes closed, lips parted while he moves against her. Ventress tugs that gorgeous hair of his back with a pull of her hand; Hunter's spine curving in response. A small moan echoes in the walls of her ship.
"Getting a little desperate, aren't why?" She asks, amused but oh, so turned on, dark eyes heavy fixed on his. "You want that inside of you, mm?"
Hunter's whole body trembles at the dirty words coming of her mouth. A rush of slick slips into his underware. His core pulses almost with it's own heartbeat.
Fuck, yes. He wants that. He needs that. He's so empty, he needs her cock to stretch him, needs to be filled and pounded and...
Hunter whines, and Asajj gives him a wide, dangerous smile.
"Not that I'm trying, little clone, but your thoughts are awfully loud in the force".
Hunter blushes; though it doesn't make much difference in his already redenned cheeks. He looks at her as if he were a lost puppy; needing guidance. Ventress smirks.
"Why don't you take it out, then, if you want it so badly?" She suggests, playing with him, but dead-serious at the same time.
Hunter knows she won't let it slip; and it's less humiliating to admit to his desires directly –instead of trying to resist–. So he swallows his embarassment and shyness down, and his hands nervously tug her leggins and underware down; exposing her erection to him for the first time. It tears out a very audible moan from his throat.
"It's so big" he thinks to himself, but speaks out loud.
It's the biggest dick he's ever seen. Warm and heavy, it rests against the woman's pelvis; almost reaching her belly button. There's a few drops of precum that tempts Hunter to take a taste.
Asajj's laugh break him out of his reverie.
"Take a photo, little clone. It'll last longer".
Hunter tries to be nochalant about it.
"I was just curious. You know, with you being a woman and..." he looks down at her cock again, and Ventress gives him a confident, one sided smile.
"Ah. Well, it can't be that much of a surprise... Considering how you're keeping a very similar secret. Aren't you, little clone?"
Hunter squirms. He glances off to the side, but Ventress "tsks" and he redirects his eyes back to her. He doesn't like talking about this. Hell, he doesn't have a lot of sexual experience because he hadn't wanted to face other's reactions; hadn't known how to explain it. What to do or say. But Jedi magic, right? Or well... Well, perhaps his grinding had made his lack of package obvious. Either way, it's not easy admiting it out loud.
"Why don't you show me?" she continues, encourging him upon his silence.
Hunter hesitates for a few seconds; then he shifts his ways on his knees and slowly divests himself. His shirt is thrown to the floor first; his slightly more rounded chest coming into view. They're not really breasts, at least not a full pair; but they're not completely flat and muscular either. There's some softness in them; and his nipples had always been particularly sensitive.
Surprisingly, Ventress waits patiently as he moves on onto the lower part of his outfit. Hunter is finally completely naked in front of her; and the woman eats him up with her eyes while Hunter squirms in place. Insecurity swims inside of him, and some part of him wants nothing more than to dress up again, but... But Ventress smirks in satisfaction and carefully and very slowly swipes two fingers through his wet folds. Hunter clenches around nothing and moans.
"Look at that" she smiles, desire clear in her eyes. "Who would have thought a clone commander would look so pretty with perky nipples and a pussy crying to be filled. Because that's what you truly want, isn't it?"
"Y-yes" Hunter manages to answer, swallowing his embarassment down.
"Well, well, little clone. We must prepare you for that" Ventress taunts, her hand reaching down to gently stroke her cock twice. "I'm not sure I can make all this fit inside of you. I bet you're tight".
Hunter's mind is swimming in desire. He nods, fingers flying down to his clit inmediately. He does a circular motion one, twice; he's so wet and turned on it feels spectacular already.
"Ah, ah. You're going to cum in my cock and only by what my cock gives you" she stops him, making him whimper and look at her in desperation. "If you're so eager, you can start preparing yourself for my cock".
Hunter throws all caution through the window and dips his middle finger inside of him; the movement eased by his wetness. It's one single finger; and yet he feels so full already. Ventress is right; he is tight. It doesn't help his pussy is clenching onto anything that is given to him.
"Just like that, little clone. Go on. You're a big boy, you can take another one".
Hunter whimpers and obbeys; and soon he's pushing two fingers, then three, in and out of him. They become from being too much to being too little; and he whines gripping the woman's hip with his free hand, asking for more.
Ventress, who has been slowly stroking herself while watching his little show, smirks knowingly.
"Yes, Hunter?"
He bites his lip and squirms. He knows she wants him to ask.
"P-please..." he whispers, the urgency clear in his voice.
Ventress smiles wider.
"Please what? I'm not giving you anything until you beg for it".
Hunter moans and tries to hide behind the courtin of his hair momentarily. The woman grabs his chin and forces him to face her. Her eyes demand an answer. Hunter needs to beg.
"Please, Asajj" he surprises himself with how soft his pleading voice sounds. "I want your big cock inside of me".
Ventress groans, kissing him as a reward and swiftly adjusting their positions; tugging him towards her so that his entrance is hovering over her erection. Ventress holds both of his hips with her hands; gesturing down with her head, eyes locked on his.
"Take what you want, little clone. Sit on it". She orders, the last few words coming out in almost a hiss.
It sends electrifying pleasure up his spine; a tremble that is only replicated when he holds her cock in place with one hand and begins to slowly sit on it.
"A-ah" he whines, the stretch of her massive cock too much for his tight entrance to easily adjust. "V-ventress..."
She hums in delight and holds his hips steady; leading him to backtrack a little before taking more of her length inside of him.
"You should see yourself, Hunter" her voice is temptation on itself. "Looking so pretty trying to take my hard cock in your tiny pussy".
Hunter whimpers and stubbornly pushes down the rest of the way; the stretch so abrupt it burns. He makes a second wounded noise in his throat when he involuntarily clenches on her; and Ventress releases her first pure unadulterated, uncontrolled moan of the night. This is affecting her as well; as much as she's good at hiding it.
"S-so big" he repeats, almost as if he needs her to soothe him, to confirm it.
Asajj nods, answer a little raspy.
"Yeah. I can almost see the outline poking in your belly".
Hunter clenches on her again and looks at her desperately; breath already coming out in agitated pantings.
She reads the overwhelming desire in him.
"Move, little clone. I want to see you bouncing up and down on my cock".
Hunter loses himself on Asajj's hard-on. Though at first it's difficult to mantain a rhythim, the feeling too much, his endless desire and wetness soon makes it easier; and encouraged by her dirty words and strong hands, he moves faster and harder, slamming his own hips down on hers until he can almost feel her pushing against his cervix. Is an alarming situation and a incredibly pleassurable once at the same time.
Ventress let's him enjoy himself for some minutes; delighted to watch his pleasure and listen to his curses and moans, eyes tracking the way his body bounces and how his spine arches, how flushed his face looks. The need to fuck him harder, faster, arrives not too long after, though; and she inverts their positions so fast that Hunter is left to stare at her in shock, weeping cock still inside of him.
"You've had your fun, little clone. Now I get to take what I want, and you're just gonna hold on and cope with it".
It's a warning; a promiss. And Hunter soon discovers Ventress has no intention on breaking it.
She tilts his hips upwards; bends his legs open, and pounds in him so hard and deep a broken moan cries into the silence of the night. She doesn't give him respite, though; she's persistent, set on a goal, hips moving confidently over his and feeding her cock into his pussy one time after the other one. He's so wet the sound is almost embarassing; and yet it still turns him on. Ventress's cock feels imposibly good inside of him; so big, stretching him so wide, reaching so deep, branding him inside, carving her shape out of his pussy, one time after the other one and the other one and the other one...
"Please... please..." hunter cries, real tears in his eyes.
It feels so good it's overwhelming. He needs to cum. He needs to explode and release and please, god, this is so fucking good his brain is going to...
"There, there, little clone. Just take. What I. Give you" she hisses back, punching each word with a snap of her hips.
Hunter feels the orgasm impossibly close. He feels tingly already. He can almost graze it with his fingertips. It feels so good, he's so full, she's so big and...
"I-I'm gonna' cum!" He warns her, eyes shutting down inmediately, mouth dropping in an opent pant.
Ventress groans and pounds harder. She places a firm –and carefull– hand on Hunter's throat.
The man whines. The stars explode.
"I-I'm cum-ing!" He cries out, every single muscle on his body clenching harshly, squeezing the woman's cock.
Tingling spreads from his pussy to every single nerve ending on his body; shivering uncontrollably.
Ventress opens up on the Force; swallowing his pleasure down, making it part of her own.
"F-fuck!" She groans, almost tasting her own orgasm too. "D-drop to your knees, Hunter. Now".
It's not a question. It's an order. It's urgent. Necessary.
A dazzed Hunter rolls over and kneels on the floor; sleepy, satisfied eyes looking up at the woman's figure in ecstasy. Ventress takes a stand right in front of him. She grabs his hair with one hand, tilting his face upwards; desperately strokes her cock with the other one.
"Want to fucking paint your face" she growls, managing to send a last shiver of pleasure through Hunter's nerves. "Want to see your pretty face drenched in my warm cum, little clone..."
Hunter hums and obediently sticks his tongue out; and the sight of it, of the clone voluntarily offering his mouth to her, is what does it. Ventress moans and cums; white ropes of her warm seed painting Hunter's flushed face and dripping down. Ventress caresses the tip against his cheek; then against his lips. Hunter hums and gives her a kittle lick in complete contempt and relaxation. It's Ventress's time to shiver.
"Good boy" she murmurs, energy dropping, falling down to sit on the edge of the bed.
Hunter hums and follows; drops forward, head coming to rest to one of her thighs. He's growing sleepy as well; and Ventress chuckles in what can only be... Well, not happiness, but fond amusement, maybe.
THE END.

Can’t imagine how hard it was for Hunter to live in an island with so much delicious sushi and not be able to enjoy it for his lil baby’s health inside of him
Post birth, Ofc, his brothers prepared everything for him, making sure he and the baby were going to be comfortable and ok, including a lil hoodie that uncle Wreck made with all love <33
T4T VentHunt my love, and their lil miracle baby, that survived the electrocution torture Hunter and through in the finale, Pandora <33
Surely one day Asajj will come back and see…the results. Hehe

Hi Karrde! Happy Fandom Friday! I'm excited to share some fun links today.
First up, @pinkiemme's collection of tattooed clones. I'm losing my mind over every one of them.
Next, this Asajj Ventress art from @vimse that nearly made me spontaneously combust (CW knife).
A self-rec: I finished Stars Beyond Number. It follows Rex, Echo, Riyo, Gregor, and OC Cerra Kilian as they work to build their resistance network. Fireball and Nemec are also major characters. The romance pairings are Echo x Riyo and Gregor x Cerra. This fic does contain mature content and themes, so all chapters have individual ratings and warnings, but as with all of my fics, it's intended for adults regardless of rating. Here's the series masterlist and the soundtrack, which slaps if I do say so myself.
Finally, I'm obsessed with the art style of @ginalongillustrations. They create gorgeous stained glass-style portraits from several fandoms, and I'm obsessed with every single Star Wars piece they've shared. Top favorites: Chopper - The War Criminal Captain Rex - The Soldier Padme Amidala - The Queen
Hey hello there DJ! First off, CONGRATS ON FINISHING STARS BEYOND NUMBER!! That fic has been on my TBR forever, and I am stoked that I can just speed run it when I get around to it! As for the rest of these, ALL OF THEM ARE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I will never get over Emme's work EVER, and that Ventress artwork had me grinning like a fiend. I've seen Gina's work on my dash before, and every piece is absolutely breathtaking. Thanks so much for putting this list together! HAPPY FANDOM FRIDAY INDEED!
Participate in Fandom Friday to show your favorite creators from this week some love! :)

Happy Bad Batch Day! This idea came in hot and it hasn't left me at all. I had to post a day late but shhh
This is just a Dasibri and Ventress lore drop lolz
Warnings: mentions of character death, lightsaber duel, impalement w a lightsaber, blasters and general angst?
-
The force occupied the space of Dasibris mind frequently. It would hum in her ears and trail in an out. It was comforting, steady, and reliable. But right here, and right now, as she stood on the other end of the island, it sang. With volume and decibel loud enough to make her ears ring and her head pound.
She had been enjoying the afternoon to herself. She'd taken a nice stroll around the fog covered island and taken a trip to the market. Within seconds the locally grown produce had become the least of her worries. Everything had been perfectly normal as she stood on the permacrete stone. And then the humming started. She had found that on Pabu there was never much need for concern. The nudging warnings from the force were usually for children running by or falling baskets. But this... this was something else. The usual humming turned sour, filling her ears with a noise so intense, it ached. All of her senses were on high alert. Her head felt just as foggy and dense as the island she stood on.
The force lacked its usual familiar gentle nudge it usually gave to guide her. Instead it felt as though it was pulling her, ripping her away and begging her to return back home. And what kind of Jedi would she be if she refused the force?
She bolted. The last time she felt an urgency like this... well she tried not to think about it. With her basket in hand, she ran through the streets. Robes and cloak flowing behind her as she called upon the force to aid her in speed and strength. What was going on? What could it possibly be?
Dasibri dodged people, carts, and children all during her mad dash back home. As she thought about what it could be, she didn't like where her head went. 'It's the Empire. They're here. Kriff, what if something happened to Crosshair? I cant lose him again. I cant. No wait! What if something happened to Omega? What if she got hurt? What if Omega is like seriously hurt? Can I save her? What if I cant stop it? I can stop it. Of course I can stop it. I have to." In her own self induced panic she found herself picking up speed until finally she let the force pull her to the entrance of the cavern by the shore.
Dasibri felt danger in the air, she felt it and then she could hear it. The sound of scuffling, of grunting, blasterfire, and then finally the constant and steady hum of a lightsaber.
Finally, inside the cave and seeing with her own eyes, Dasibri nearly doubled over from the sight. Crosshair, Wrecker, and Hunter wee huddled up and shooting at a woman with a yellow lightsaber. The air smelt of electricity. Her eyes narrowed in on that woman. Dasibri would know her anywhere. She would be able to know her while blind.
Asajj Ventress.
Without thinking, without any care or concern, disregarding the guilt and second guessing that had plagued her so long ago, Dasibri drew her saber from her belt. She hadn't even reached for it. Before she could even think it, her blade snapped into her hand. Bright emerald green light emanating from the blade and illuminated her face. She had reached out and she had already known it in her bones that this was not an illusion or trick and was just as real as the metal in her hand.
The two girls had crossed paths plenty during the war. Enough for a very personal distain to grow between the two. They had crossed paths again, even after Asajj had apparently "renounced the Sith". Something Dasibri didn't believe a word of. People could change but not like that.
It was a long time ago and by now it had felt like ages. It was Dasibri's most disgraceful act.
Within no time at all, their history of violence and detestation of eachother rose quickly. They had crossed blades once again and fought like they had so many times before, only this time, it was different. It had only ended once one of them was dead. Dasibri had lost herself in Vaapad.
She had let herself become an open channel to the force. It is truth to say that she had been enjoying this fight far too much. More than any Jedi should. She'd been so immersed in Vaapad, too eager to end this fight once and for all, that she didn't stop. She didn't allow herself to. There was a split moment in the force where she knew she could end the fight without bloodshed. But she didn't listen. The fight would only stop once her opponent was dead.
And that was exactly how Dasibri had left her. Dead.
She knew it wasn't right, she knew she shouldn't have wanted it. But as soon as she saw her lightsaber beaming through the stomach and protruding out the back of Asajj, she knew she had won. It scared her more than anything. It had felt like a victory, it almost felt good. It felt like that for a minute but after... that was a different story.
The murder had eaten her alive. She had sulked and contemplated it for months after it had happened. Was it a misstep or had it been fully intentional? Could it of been an influence from the dark side that she'd exposed herself to? Even she didn't know the truth. But Dasibri knew herself well enough to guess the answer. She had let it happen. It was wrong and she shouldn't have done it. She should of found a way to make peace, or even taken her in alive, but she didn't. Channeling the force in all of its whole left room for the darkness as well as the light. Back then she had still had her Master at her side. Mace Windu had dutifully helped her through it to the best of his ability. He had made sure that she used Vaapad instead of it using her. After the murder of Asajj Ventress Dasibri had become a husk.
But standing in this cave, watching Ventress go against her husband and his brothers, she simply didn't care. Watching Crosshair brace himself for impact as Ventress threw him to the ground, she disregarded it all. The Nightsister had kicked Hunter down and left him on the ground. Her saber drawn and ready. Dasibri took a deep breath and put aside all of that guilt and pain. She tuned out the memories of the path she had walked and of the nightmares that followed. Nights of anxiety induced nausea. Regret so deep that no amount of meditation could rid. Dasibri had been put through hell and yet without a second thought, she leapt right back into the fight to do it all over again. The same fight that had followed her throughout the war. The fight she tried for too long to forget.
But it didn't matter. It was the fight that she had never left.
She would go through it all again to protect them. To protect anyone. She would put her fragile heart between any evil and anyone it ever dared try to touch. Asajj Ventress was back from the dead and it seemed Dasibris methods would have to rise back up to the challenge.
Ventress' voice snaked its way into the ears of everyone present. "Dasibri Taraay. I should of known you'd be here" she spat. She didn't bother to fix her hair, it fell slightly before her eyes as she tried to stare down the Jedi a few feet from her. Her armored hand and arm dropped, subsequently dropping Wrecker who she had been suspending in a force grip. "Now contrary to what you might think, I wasn't the one who escalated this."
The woman's words left a trail up Dasibris spine. Her feet moved against stone and within the blink of an eye, Dasibri was full force swinging her blade. Every strike had the potential for a deadly final blow. Gone were the days of exquisite displays and grandiose technique.
"I thought you died a long time ago." Dasibri muttered out. Her green blade held off the yellow one that was being thrown her way. "Then again... I'm not surprised you found a way to kark that up too" she grumbled.
"Dasibri..." Ventress said as if scolding her. The yellow blade slid off from the deflection. "How unbecoming of you." She said smoothly as the other woman swung at her. Ventless held her own saber and used it to hold off the attack. "It seems you really missed me." She chuckled.
The Jedi wasn't sure what to say in response. Something witty, something threatening. But all she could think about was her inner calling to vanquish the threat that lied in front of her.
Ventress pushed back her blade and let Dasibri take a few staggering steps back. The Jedi tried to keep her feet planted into the ground, she used it to hold herself and push herself forward. However the 'bounty hunter' called upon the force and leapt into the air, shooting herself backwards a few yards and taking stance. Ventress twirled her blade and looked across the cave to the Jedi.
The dance was on and the fight continued.
The Nightsister held her ready stance as she spoke. "I find it intriguing they called me for help." She chuckled and looked down through her lashes. "Couldn't figure it out then hmm?" Ventress said circling the Jedi. The two women circled eachother slowly, waiting for the other to strike. And for a moment, neither of them did.
"What are you doing here?" Dasibri asked her and looked down the length of her green blade.
Ventress cocked her head upwards, a smirk plastered over her dark lips. She looked smug as ever, happy to have a victory over the other girl. "Fennec reached out. It appeared you and your battalion of clones here had some questions." She said as she got closer. The circle was growing smaller, they were getting closer now. "I find it hard to believe that you had no idea about the kid." She continued. "Losing your touch, huh? Or was this a trap all along? Why didn't you tell them the truth?" She asked looking between the Jedi and the three soldiers that stood on the sidelines watching.
"I'm not an idiot." Dasibri answered. "Of course I knew." She grumbled and finally made the move to strike. Ventress immediately moved to deflect it. They continued on like that for what felt like a lifetime. Their altercation illuminated the cavern with sparks of lights. "I thought I'd finally gotten some peace and quiet from you." Dasibri said again after a moment. "How are you... how are you even here?" She had asked as Ventress held her blade tightly.
The Nightsisters blade was held against the Jedis, they intersected right before their faces. Ventress spoke happily. "You may have ended one life... but I have enough left to finally finish you off." Her threat almost sounded like a promise.
Dasibri looked at her. "Maybe... but you're going to need them all for that." She had said warningly. This fight would last until they tired themselves out and began to slip up. That was how it would always go. Until their were called off, maimed, or killed.
Ventress knew she could redeem herself in this moment. She could end the life that had taken hers. Finally, another point on the board. But even now she didn't agree with that sentiment. Maybe this didn't have to end this way. It was odd for her to have such revelations in the middle of a battle. She wasn't exactly the forgiving type. Especially under the circumstances when staring at the woman who kriffing killed her.
As Dasibri sank further into Vaapad, losing herself inside the fight in more ways than one, her blade moved wickedly fast. Ventress had remembered just how fast once she had to counter each and every strike. She couldn't even see which direction the Jedi's saber was coming from, it felt like it was coming from everywhere all at once. She found herself relying on feeling where it was, rather than seeing.
The rocks hadn't gotten any less algae slicken, and Dasibri used the strength she pulled from all areas of the force, to make the Nightsister back up towards them. Dasibri used strength and will alone to back the renounced Sith into a corner.
Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair all stood on the side lines. Watching with their mouths agape in horror. This was... not the average fight. They hadn't seen this side of Dasibri since the war. Even then she seemed to be consumed in her form of practice. Crosshair was worried. Very worried. He had no way of helping but he wasn't quite sure what he could even begin to do to help.
Fast footsteps reverberated through the cavern. Omega and her trusty side-kick Batcher had both come bolting into the cave. The young girl held a white flower in her hand, high over her head and she waved it joyously. "I got the-" she had begun to say long before her eyes finally registered what was going on.
Her eyes widened in shock. Dasibri held Ventress against the rocks, there was barely a breath of space between them. The light of their sabers were bright in the cave as the night sky darkened and the sun disappeared from outside. Omega watched as Dasibri pressed further on with her blade, which in turn brought Ventress's blade even closer to her own face. The Nightsisters expression turned into a scowl.
"What's going on in here!" Omega nearly yelled. Her voice and volume demanded an answer. She stood a step back, distancing herself from the fight. Her gaze faltered between the bounty Hunter, Jedi, and her brothers.
Crosshair and Hunter both had dashed across the cavern to stand in front of the girl. Their guns raised and ready just incase Ventress managed to find an out and try to hurt the girl. Of course she never would of dreamed it but the clones certainly didn't know that.
Omegas voice seemed to snap the Jedi back to reality.
"She was helping us! Dasibri! What are you doing?" She asked loudly. Omega shoved her way between Hunter and Crosshair, standing in front of them and begging the Jedi to come to her senses and explain what had transpired inside the cave.
"Helping you? Omega, do you know who this is?" Dasibri said looking over her shoulder to glance at the girl. "She doesn't help people. She kills them." The Jedi explained and turned her gaze back to the woman held up against the rocks.
"and you don't!" Omega argued back. She took a few steps closer. She didn't notice Crosshair try and reach out after her and pull her back, he had missed her by an inch. "Dasibri you're a Jedi! You don't kill people" the girl said moving closer. Omega met eyes with Ventress. "You were helping me right?" She had asked.
Ventress let out a gruff from the effort of trying to keep Dasibri at bay. Her voice was strained as she spoke. "You asked me to test you. That was exactly what I was doing" she said turning her gaze to the Jedi above her. As the light reflected in Dasibri's eyes, Ventress lifted her leg and managed to knee the girl in the stomach and use the momentum to kick her back. While sending the other girl a few stumbling steps backwards Ventress sent herself airborne for a single second. Enough time to perch herself on top of the rock she'd just been held against. "I came here to help." She repeated looking the Jedi in the eyes. "That is all." She clarified.
Dasibri stood panting.
That was when the most surprising thing could of happened. Ventress turned off her saber and stood to her full height. Dasibris eyebrows knit in confusion.
"I never came here to fight. I had no idea you'd even be here." The Nightsister confessed as she jumped down and stood before the other woman. "Why don't.. why don't we talk." She said cautiously. This had been a feud that had spanned years now. And it seemed now, if Dasibri allowed it, they could both throw in the towel and call the whole thing off. It was the right thing to do. The Jedi thing to do.
But deep down, Dasibri didn't know what action to take. She could feel the aura radiating off of Ventress and it seemed genuine. This could end. Distant memories came to light. She remembered a very important lesson she'd learned once. The battle of Geonosis could of been thwarted by a single death. Mace Windu had once said "It could happen again. It will happen again." And everyday Dasibri made sure that she remembered it. If you are going to strike, make sure it's enough. She never wanted to hold a regret of that caliber. She wouldn't let herself be deceived.
She wasn't stupid enough to trust blindly.
Then again, in what universe did this make sense? Asajj Ventress trying to negotiate peace? That was the realization that brought Dasibri back to her feet and finally close her blade. When all choices seem wrong, choose restraint. And that was exactly what she did.
She clipped her hilt back onto her belt.

We are pretty much just following the plot of this episode, save for a bit at the end so it might feel like a bit of a slow start, but bear with me! 21 days since Eriadu
Water dripped from the faulty tap in the small cell as light crept through the bars on the window.
Omega stared out into the open space with a forlorn sigh as she envied the birds that sounded their freedom as they chirped their usual song. She stepped down from her bed and started pacing anxiously as she waited for Emerie to make her scheduled appearance.
Sure enough, a couple seconds later, the door opened, and Emerie stepped inside.
“Good morning, Omega. How are you feeling today?” Emerie asked.
“Like a prisoner.” Omega replied curtly. “I want to leave.”
“Prisoner?” Emerie repeated, surprised. “Omega, you are no such thing. It will take time to adjust, but you will acclimate. It is far safer in here than out there. Come. We have much to do.” With that Emerie turned to leave.
Omega reached under her bed and brought out her box before she followed Emerie out into the corridor. The grey colouring of her new clothes matched the other scientists and the non-descript design of the inside of the base.
They turned a corner to pass a squad of clone prisoners being escorted past and Omega let out a gasp as she recognised the figure at the front of the line but despite her effort to look at him, he only stared at the floor.
--
Omega entered the lab and watched in quiet upset as the clone was subjected to a blood sample being taken from the back of his hand. They all had similar expressions of pain and defeat written across their faces and she wished she knew how to stop it.
Emerie placed the test tube into one of the free slots in the tray that Omega was holding before she took the datapad out and created a record for Omega. “And now I need to take a blood sample from you.”
“From me?” Omega repeated. “Why?”
“The samples are used for various research projects. All of us serve a purpose here.” Emerie explained. “It won’t hurt.” She added as a means of reassurance before she readied the equipment to take the sample.
Omega sat up on the bench. “Can you at least tell me where my brothers are? Or my friend, (Y/N)?”
“I do not know.” Emerie replied simply.
Omega held her hand out and braced against the sting of the needle as her blood was drawn. “If you’re a clone like me, how come I never saw you on Kamino?”
“Because I was sent elsewhere until Dr. Hemlock took me under his wing. He saw potential in me, like Nala Se sees in you.”
“I never knew that I had a sister. It’s nice not being alone.” She offered Emerie a small smile, but it wasn’t quite returned.
“Head to the lab.” Emerie ordered as she took the device away and placed Omega’s sample in with the others. “Nala Se is expecting these.”
--
As the security scan was completed, Omega entered the lab and walked over to Nala Se who was busy placing more blood vials into a centrifuge.
“Thank you, Omega.” Nala Se said as she took the tray from her and started processing the data from the samples and it was through that that she saw the concerning sight that Omega was now a part of the system. “Omega, your sample was taken?”
“Mn-hmm. Emerie said it was routine.”
Nala Se deleted the record from the system before she destroyed the physical sample.
Omega watched this with curiosity. “Why are you discarding it?”
“Tell no one.” Nala Se replied before she took the other samples to the centrifuge. “It is safer this way.”
Omega knew the Kaminoian well enough to pick up on the worry in her voice. “This research, it’s not like what we did on Kamino, is it?”
“No, it is not.”
“I don’t understand. Why did they bring me here?” Omeag asked, hoping that if Emerie couldn’t give her the answers that she sought then Nala Se would have some idea.
“To ensure that I co-operate. The Empire seeks the reproduction of a genetic M-count, but the experiments on the specimens have yet to yield the desired result.”
The M-count was something she was aware of but nothing else Nala Se was saying made much sense to her. “What specimens? You mean the clones?”
“No. Not the clones.”
Any further elaboration was cut off as the lab doors opened and Omega turned to see who it was.
“How nice to see you reunited with your trusted assistant.” Hemlock commented to Nala Se. He massaged the palm of his gloved hand. “I’m sure Omega’s presence here will only strengthen your efforts. Shall we head to the vault?” He waved a hand in front of him towards the doors.
Omega went to leave but Nala Se’s hand on her shoulder stopped her from advancing.
“See to your remaining tasks.” Nala Se instructed before they left the lab.
Omega watched them from the window and wondered what was so special about this vault Hemlock had mentioned but she didn’t have the means to find that out yet. For now, she had little choice but to head to her next chore of the day.
--
She glared at the droid as he shocked one of the Lurca hounds and she irritably scooped some food up before sending it through the hatch into the bowl of the hound she was currently tending to. As the droid’s attention was focused on something else, she took the opportunity to gather more loose straw from the ground and hid it in the bottom compartment of her box.
She carried on to the last cage to see her favourite of the hounds. “Hi Batcher.” She whispered to the hound curled up at the far end of the cage but her only reply was a low growl. It was then she noticed the bowl was overflowing with uneaten food. “Hmm. Still won’t eat the food, huh? I don’t blame you.” She stole a quick glance back to the droid to see he was still paying her no attention and she took the chance to fish out her lunch from earlier. “Here, I saved you some of mine.”
Batcher got to her feet but snarled and pressed herself aggressively against the bars of the enclosure.
In the shock, Omega had dropped the nuggets inside the cage, but she watched as Batcher ate them and swiftly retreated to the back of the space. “Better? I’ll bring you more tomorrow.” She stood up and left to do what she had been wanting to do the entire day.
--
As she slowly walked down the corridor, she glanced between each of the cells, the sounds of teeth chattering and coughing made her concern grow as she saw the effects this place was having on all of the clones here.
She made her way to the cell she’d been searching for. “Crosshair.” She called quietly. “I tried to come earlier, but there were too many guards watching me.”
Crosshair sighed. “You shouldn’t be down here at all.”
“Well, how else are we gonna plan an escape?”
“There is no ‘we.’ And there is no escape.” Crosshair sat up. “I’ve already tried.”
“Every stronghold has a weak point.” Omega said. “Maybe I can convince Emerie to help. She’s one of us.”
She sounded just like them and that was the last thing he needed. “Not every clone is your ally. You trust too easily.”
“Maybe you don’t trust enough.” Omega countered but as she said that she noticed a tremor in his right hand which he tried to conceal with by holding it with his left. “Crosshair?”
“Just…” He sighed again. He didn’t need her pity or her concern. “Go, before you make things worse for both of us.”
Omega went to leave but she stopped herself. “There has to be a way out of here. I’ll find it.” She didn’t expect a reply, so she didn’t wait for one, instead she left now.
Crosshair watched her go. Even from that small interaction, he’d already seen so much of them in her and that would either make her or break her in this place and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to be around to watch.
--
Darkness had fallen and it was that time again where she scratched the next tally into the wall. She brought the Lula hay doll out and held it close to her chest- it wasn’t much but it was the reminder of home she needed. If you truly weren’t here, then Omega knew you all would be looking for her, but she was going to do whatever it took to make that easier.
--
5 months later
The dripping water, the sunlight creeping in, the birds chirping, the concealing of her doll at the bottom of her box… the routine was all so familiar now. She was already standing at the ready for when Emerie opened the door and, like clockwork, it whirred open to reveal the older clone who had the same opening remark she always did.
“Good morning, Omega.”
“Good morning.”
“Let’s begin.” Emerie led the way out.
--
Yet again, they walked the same route to the testing centre and yet again she passed Crosshair in the corridor, but she had long since learned that trying for any sort of recognition from him in this environment was pointless, so she kept her gaze down too.
She let her blood be drawn, her hand was now numb to the sensation, and she took all the samples to the lab where Nala Se once again destroyed all traces of her sample. She hadn’t been able to learn anything more about the vault or the specimens but what she had gathered was that you, Hunter, and Wrecker definitely were not here and that made the thought of escape feel far more feasible and appealing.
--
The lurca hounds were the same as they always were but as she made her way to Batcher’s spot, she saw the hound tending to a nasty cut on her front right leg. “Batcher? K-9X1! Hurry!” She yelled to the droid.
“What is the issue?” The droid asked as he approached the girl.
“Batcher’s hurt.” Omega informed him.
“LH-201 sustained injures during the nightly patrol. If her wounds do not heal, the subject will be terminated.”
“Then do something to help her!” Omega demanded.
“I am not a medical droid. It is not part of my programming.”
Omega could only watch as the droid merely walked away, and she turned to the sound of Batcher’s whimpers of pain. She wouldn’t accept termination as Batcher’s fate, if the droid wouldn’t help Batcher, then she would.
She ran over to the medical kit on the wall and took the bacta out but when she reached into the kennel to try and tend to the wound, Batcher snapped at her. “Now look. I need to clean your wound for it to get better. It’ll only hurt for a second, so put those teeth away and behave.” She said sternly but it seemed to do the trick as Batcher let her do it. “See? That’s not so bad.”
Omega worked in silence for a few seconds before she spoke to the hound again, “You know, I have a friend that would’ve been able to help us get along a lot faster.” She said warmly as she continued to apply the bacta to the wound. “But I think we’re getting there now.” She smiled as Batcher gave her hand a tentative lick once she finished with the bacta.
--
“I dressed Batcher’s wounds as best as I could. At least she didn’t bite me. That’s progress, right?” she looked at Crosshair, but he gave her nothing, so she continued talking. “If she doesn’t get better soon…” She sighed. “Maybe I can steal a med kit from the lab and see if there’s anything I can use-”
“Stop.” Crosshair interrupted her with a frustrated sigh. Clearly the others hadn’t done a very good job of making her stay on course and now he needed to be the one to remind her. “What is your primary objective?”
“Escape.” Omega answered.
“Then stop wasting time on lost causes. Forget the hound, forget me, and complete the mission.”
“Not without you.”
“If I get the chance to escape, I wouldn’t think twice about leaving you behind.”
“You’re lying! You wouldn’t do that. You’re my brother.”
She had been insisting on that for months now, no matter how many times he tried to push her away and he didn’t know how much more of that he could tolerate hearing. “I’m not them.” Crosshair snapped.
Omega couldn’t accept that. “I’m not giving up, Crosshair. I won’t let you either.” She got up to leave.
Crosshair stood up with a heavy breath and called out to her retreating figure. “Omega.”
Omega stopped and turned back to face him.
“Don’t risk anything for me. I belong in here.” He said, meaning every word.
“None of us belong in here.” She replied before walking away.
--
Her door whirred open before the usual time, and she woke up with a gasp as two troopers entered her room. She got to her feet and concealed her doll behind her. “What’s going on?” She asked Emerie.
“Surprise inspection. Standard procedure.” Emerie informed her.
“Clear.” One of the commandos said.
However, the other noticed the doll hidden behind her back and he tore it from her grip and handed it to Emerie.
“We’ve been over this before, Omega. Personal items are forbidden.” Emerie chastised her. “I’ll dispose of it.”
“Don’t!” Omega protested. “Please, Emerie.”
“It is for your own good. Come, we have work to do.”
--
It was a welcome sight to see Batcher so happy to greet her this time around. “Hey, Batcher.” Omega said fondly and she saw the wound had nearly scarred over. “Look at you. You’re almost at a hundred percent.” She gave her a soft scratch on the jaw.
“Did you not read the standing order for the day?” The droid yanked her to her feet. “LH-201 has been slated for termination.”
“What? Why? She’s healed.” Omega argued.
“The creature’s recent domesticated disposition has been deemed a liability.”
“But that’s my fault, not hers.” Omega tried to resist being pulled away, with Batcher also barking in protest, but the droid’s grip was strong.
The droid groaned. “It is protocol.”
Omega finally managed to weasel her way out of his grasp and steal his datapad but the droid reacted swiftly and started to pull it away from her. She allowed herself to be tugged airborne and she braced her feet against the droid’s torso and leaned back, the momentum giving her the victory. She got away from the droid with the datapad in her hands and she quickly activated one of the large crates on the ceiling above and it fell on top of K-9X1. She grabbed his electro-staff and shocked him with it but not before he had the chance to call security so now, she had to act swiftly.
Omega used the datapad to open the exit hatch in Batcher’s kennel and deactivated her collar. “Batcher, come!” She ran over to the bars and reached in to take the collar off the hound. “Now you need to run away and not come back, okay?” It pained her to let her one close companion go but it needed to happen. She patted her snout. “And try not to bite anyone.”
Batcher hesitated and whined at her.
“I can’t go with you yet.” Omega explained. “I have to get Crosshair first. Batcher, go!” Omega watched her run down the tunnel with both relief and sadness, but she’d get out soon too, she knew she would.
“Breaking the rules, I see.”
Omega jumped and turned around to see Hemlock standing before her and Emerie standing behind him.
“And releasing a weak lurca hound into the wild? I didn’t know you were so cruel, Omega.”
“Me? You were gonna terminate her.” Omega said angrily.
“And you believe your actions changed that outcome?” When Omega faltered in her reply, he kept speaking, “Now some rotations ago, one of our shuttles crashed just beyond this mountain. But that is not what killed them. No, it was the creatures that roam the jungle. Even our strongest lurca hounds struggle against what’s beyond these walls. And your domestication of LH-201 only made her vulnerable.”
“You don’t know she won’t survive.” Omega disputed. “She deserves a chance.”
“Oh, the flawed logic of an idealistic child.” Hemlock’s tone fuelled with quiet mockery. “Emotion and sentiment have no place within these walls. You would do well to remember that.”
She wasn’t afraid of his threats anymore. “Or what?”
Seeing the way he turned to look at Omega again, Emerie hastily intervened. “Doctor, perhaps I should return Omega to her room.”
Hemlock held a hand up to stop her from going any further and kept his gaze on Omega. “You have more to say?”
“I know you brought me here to make Nala Se cooperate. You need her. She won’t work for you if you hurt me.” Omega said confidently.
Hemlock only laughed. “Of course I’m not gonna hurt you, Omega.” He inhaled deeply. “Your friend in the detention block, however, may not be as fortunate.”
“Don’t hurt Crosshair! He didn’t do anything.”
“I did have plans for CT-9904, despite his resistance to re-education, but I am willing to make a few sacrifices if your misbehaviour continues.” He bent from the waist and leaned down towards her. “Actions always have consequences. Sometimes not in the ways we imagine.”
Now that threat was one that she knew he would follow through on and she didn’t want to be responsible for Crosshair suffering even more than he was already.
“Take her back to her room and restrict her access.” Hemlock ordered Emerie as he exited.
Omega left with her a few seconds later.
--
Night had fallen and Omega sat huddled on the edge of her bed, but she heard the door open. “Go away.” She said with a sigh, not even bothering to look at Emerie this time.
“Omega…”
“Please… just go.” She requested, hoping the misery in her voice would be enough to convince Emerie to leave and she was grateful to hear her footsteps retreat and she angled herself towards the door to see that her hay Lula had been returned to her. She picked it up, but the sound of a lurca howling brought her back to the window.
She attempted in vain to peer through to bars to the outside for any sign of Batcher, but she couldn’t see anything. She then looked at the growing collection of tallies that represented the months that she’d been here. It may take more time, but now more than ever she knew she needed to get out and she needed to take Crosshair with her.
--
Hunter’s eyes snapped open, and his heart was pounding in his chest, but his surroundings told him it had been another dream. The ship was still steadily travelling through hyperspace towards Oba Diah, and the three of you had been using the long journey to catch up on some much-needed rest before the mission would begin.
Reaching out to Roland Durand of all people had felt like a long shot but when he said he could help if you only found the Pyke that had disgraced him and the Durand name, it had been an easy decision to accept but it had done nothing to quell the worry and fear that coursed through his veins. He sat up and began the usual routine of deep breathing.
Ever since you’d fully opened yourself up to him and the Force again, he didn’t need to wake you anymore when this happened, you would feel everything he felt and wake up a couple seconds after he did, and this time was no different. “Which one this time?” You whispered; your tone filled with tender understanding.
“I’m sorry.” Hunter rasped as he steadied his breathing. He hated that this was having a knock-on effect on you two, especially since your own sleep had only now started to get better. You were another person he was still finding a way to let down.
You shushed him softly as you sat up next to him. You have nothing to be sorry for. “Which one?” You prompted again. You knew his sleep had been haunted by more than just the reminders of what had happened in the recent months, it was these new nightmares that were plaguing him more and more.
Hunter released a heavy breath. “Same one as the nights before. I can see her, she’s right in front of me but no matter what I do, I can’t reach her and- and then she’s taken away.”
You pressed your lips to his shoulder, and you rubbed soothing circles on his back. “This mission for Durand is another step in the right direction. You’re doing all you can. We will find her, Hunter.”
Hunter shook his head and swung his legs out to the side of the bunk. “We took too long to find you, and you weren’t even really hiding.” Hunter countered without glancing back at you.
He didn’t need to look at you for you to feel his distress. You reached a hand out to his shoulder to try and get him to face you again. “Hunter-”
He gently but firmly pushed your hand away. “I’m going to go over what we’ve got again. Go back to sleep, I’ll be back soon.”
You sighed and watched him go to the cockpit. You’d seen the shift in him as had Wrecker. The relief of your reunion had long since passed and he, like the two of you, was getting more desperate to find Omega but it was affecting him far more than he was willing to talk about. His once calm and collected demeanour had vanished and he was taking on missions with little care for the risk or conditions they came with and this mission for Durand was no exception. Whilst you and Wrecker were happy to agree, there had been little discussion over the matter or the conditions of the deal. The two of you had done what you could, but you knew the only true thing that would bring him comfort would be finding Omega again.
Although a strong part of you wanted to follow him, you knew that right now, he needed the space, and you would give him that, but you couldn’t stand by and watch him drive himself into the ground for much longer.
--
You woke up again to find the space next to you ice cold and you knew that Hunter had not returned at all, and he wasn’t planning too. You tossed the blanket aside and silently walked towards the cockpit where you could hear the faint tapping of fingers against the keys of a datapad.
You leaned against the entryway to the cockpit and studied him for a moment as he kept his focus on Tech’s datapad. He looked utterly exhausted. His head drooped every few seconds, his shoulders were hunched, and weariness was written all across his face. It pained you to see him like this.
Aware that his brother was sleeping a few metres away, his words to you were quiet, “I said I’d be back soon.” He continued to tap through the intel that he’d been anxiously scanning for any detail he could’ve missed.
“You said that hours ago.” You matched his volume and straightened up. “You need to talk to me. Shutting down like this isn’t good for you.”
“I’m not shutting down. I’m doing what needs to be done to get Omega back.” He couldn’t stop. He’d let her down for long enough. The answer was there, and he kept missing it and he couldn’t stand it.
You fully came into the cockpit and kneeled in front of him. “You may be a leader, Hunter, but you’re not alone. This isn’t just the fear that we’re not going to get her back because you know we’re not going to stop until we do. There’s something else you’re afraid of.” You searched his face for a sign of what more it could be, but he wasn’t giving anything away. You kept your voice low but kind, “What is it?”
Hunter ignored you and kept his eyes fixed on the words on the screen in his possession, but he wasn’t reading them anymore.
“Hunter, put it down.” You attempted to take the datapad but his hold was too tight.
“I can’t stop. I can’t. She-” He cut himself off and swallowed thickly. “I can’t stop.” He repeated again, his voice barely above a whisper.
“You’re no good to anyone if you’re too exhausted to think straight.” You said with concern. “Talk to me, please.”
Hunter silently shook his head. The responsibility of all of this was on him, you shouldn’t be worrying about him now.
You knew how hard this was and he rarely allowed himself those moments of vulnerability, but he’d been there for you countless times, it was now your turn to be the one he could lean on. “You’ve helped me through so much, Hunter.” You placed one hand on his tattooed cheek and stroked your thumb along his cheekbone and whether he meant it or not, you felt him relax into your touch. “Let me help you now.” You whispered as your other hand fanned across the datapad and started to push it out of his grasp. “Put it down.”
“I-”
“Put it down.” You repeated again, applying more pressure now as you felt his resistance fade and relief coursed through you as he let you take it from him.
Hunter finally let the datapad slip from his grasp and he let the tiredness take over and his body sagged against the chair.
“What else is it that’s bothering you?” You came back from putting the datapad away and crouched again and laid your hands on his knees.
Hunter hesitated for a moment but for this first time since he woke up, he caught your eyes and he saw nothing but love and concern behind them and he swallowed thickly. “All she wanted was to not end up an experiment and that’s exactly what I’ve let happen.”
“Hunter…”
The words just tumbled from him now. “I let down Crosshair, I let down T- I let down Tech. I was too late to save them, but I still had you, I still had Wrecker and I still had Omega. Then you and Omega were ripped away from us and that was another thing I couldn’t stop. I relied too much on Wrecker when we were looking for you, I wasn’t who he needed me to be, and I can feel that happening again. I can’t be too late again. I can’t let another person down… I can’t let Omega down.” He turned away from you once more.
Your heart broke for him. “You have done no such thing.” You brought your hand back to his face to keep his eyes on you. “Listen to me, you didn’t let them down and you weren’t too late for them. At that time, Crosshair had made his choice, and you wouldn’t have been able to change his mind. Tech, he-” You felt the emotions rise up in your throat, choking the next words you were going to say. After pausing for a second, you cleared your throat and started again, “Tech made his choice. That wasn’t you being too late for them. As for Wrecker, he won’t and doesn’t think that. You’re his brother first, Hunter, he would never think that.” You paused for a moment to let that sink in before you added, “And you weren’t too late for me either. I’m right here with you and I’m not going anywhere.”
Hunter’s jaw tightened as he listened to the words you said but he couldn’t quite bring himself to fully believe them.
Still seeing the reluctance behind his eyes, you took his hand and placed it over your heart. “Feel that? I’m not worried, I’m not doubting you. We’re getting her back, you have not failed her, Hunter and she’ll know we’re looking for her. She’ll know that.”
Hunter closed his eyes and let the comfort of your steady heartbeat flood his senses.
After some time had passed, you decided it was time for him to get some proper rest before you arrived on Oba Dia. “Come on.” You took his hands, and a gentle tug encouraged him enough to get to his feet.
Hunter was so tired he could barely register his movements; all he knew was somehow you were getting his feet moving and leading him back to your bunk.
“Lie down.” You instructed gently as you reached the bed.
Hunter did as you said, and he felt you slide in next to him, he willed his weary body to turn and hold you like he usually did.
You shook your head and nudged him, so his back was facing you. You wrapped your arm around him and put your hand in his and placed it over his chest. “Just close your eyes and breathe with me.”
“This mission’s gonna help us somehow, right?” Hunter murmured with a tired voice.
You planted a soft kiss to the hinge of his jaw. Yes, it will. Drug syndicates were not high on your list on the people you were looking to stay on an even keel for. The Pykes weren’t going to stop you from doing whatever it took to get to her.

Okay, a few thoughts on the trailer now that I’ve collected my thoughts a bit:
1. Between the shots of the crashed ship and Omega in the cockpit, it’s looking like a self-rescue on Omega’s part. At this point I’m thinking she gets herself and Crosshair out, and then, based on the shots of Cross with the batch, gets separated from him at some point. He rejoins the batch, and she is…somewhere else. Though I don’t know if that means she goes back to Tantiss.
2. It’s entirely possible that she gets got by one of the bounty Hunters in the trailer, and that’s what separates her from Crosshair.
3. I do think that it is Crosshair in the armor, but other possibilities include: one, Tech, who may not have his own armor anymore and needed to wear something protective on short notice, and; two, Hunter’s having a real bad time and is actually hallucinating Crosshair being with them. I don’t think that’s the case though—I think it really is Crosshair.
4. It’s also possible that those shots with Crosshair are from a little later on in the season.
5. Poor Omega’s going to be in Tantiss for months.
6. I swear Hunter looks like he’s lost weight. Like. I know a lot of the fandom is deep in the Crosshair and Tech are twins sauce (and honestly, I am too, I adore that head-canon and basically think if it as canon), but darn it if Hunter isn’t getting so drawn he’s starting to look a little like Crosshair.
7. I find it weirdly amusing that the half the trailer in which the bad batch actually features is mostly taken up by Hunter and Wrecker doing Adventure Man things. I get the sense they were scrounging to find shots of the batchers that weren’t massively spoilery (and they still put those shots of Crosshair in. Which, admittedly, is one of the things that makes me slightly suspicious of that being Crosshair at all, because that could be a misdirect, but only slightly).
8. I’m going to laugh if it turns out that Cid hired all of the bounty hunters we see to find Omega. Like, if that’s what she uses the money she got from Hemlock for, and she’s basically trying to get Omega out of the situation she got Omega into and goes a little overboard on the means.
9. Ventress! I’ll be honest, Ventress has never been at the top of my favorite character list, though I’ve warmed up to her quite a bit (I used to like the idea of her more than the execution), but I always love Nika Futterman’s performance, and I’m intrigued to see Ventress here at the very least. Because. How. She was very dead. Very, very dead. Not “fell into The Mists” dead—she had a funeral after being dead for months. My only thoughts are that were either seeing her in a flashback sequence that takes place before Dark Disciple, or it turns out that nightsisters can use their force magic to do some weird shit after getting hit by lightning. Either way, I don’t think she’s fighting Wrecker and Hunter here—that’s just some misleading editing.
10. Man, I hope Hemlock dies a lot.
11. Anyway, speaking of the dead and those back from it, Tech is so alive and I’m trying to not be the Smuggest of Gremlins until we for sure see him, but jeez are they making that difficult. (I checked the trailer release blurb on the Star Wars dot com page—it doesn’t mention Tech being dead. It just says the team is “scattered” after the events of season two. Like. Guys, you’re not even trying anymore.)
12. And more on Tech, I do think it’s possible—possible, mind you—that Tech is the guy we see in the clone X armor in front of what looks like the Archium. There are some small differences between that armor and both the armor we see on Clone X in season two, and the Clone X we see speaking later in the trailer—namely, the shoulder straps, what looks like a glass visor covering the two eyeholes, and *sigh* the pouches. And it’s the straps and the pouches that are giving him a bit more of a Tech-ish silhouette—especially the pouches, and especially from behind. If it is Tech, though, I don’t think it’s a brainwashed Tech at all (and honestly, it’s the pouches that make me lean towards not brainwashed if it is Tech in there, because a shin pouch is just a very Tech-and-not-blank-slate thing to wear).
I actually think it’s more likely that it’s Tech in disguise and having taken the armor from the Clone X we see later in the trailer (with some adjustments of his own), and that that’s what’s being referred to by the titles “Infiltration” and “Extraction;” Tech infiltrating imperial forces, and then the others having to get him (and probably the people of Pabu) out. And, if that’s the case, I’m banking on these shots being from the midseason. (I know I said I wasn’t going to speculate on the episode titles. That was aspirational.)
Basically, I could be persuaded that it’s Tech in there or that it’s not. I’m less likely to be persuaded that it’s a brainwashed Tech in there—I still don’t think that’s happening.
12. Whether that is Tech in that armor or not, I do think that the clone X we see speaking in the trailer isn’t the same guy in the armor in the Archium shot.
13. I am SO HAPPY to see Phee back THANK GOODNESS. I was a little worried they’d drop her like a rock, but nope! She’s here! She’s got her cool jacket! We see her ship!
14. There is a criminally small amount of Echo in the trailer, but I’m not giving up on seeing more of him. It’s possible that he’s either a walking spoiler, or that he features a little more heavily in the back half of the season.
15. “The Cavalry Has Arrived” is the most optimistic episode title in the whole damn show and, yes, I will die on this hill.
16. Crosshair. Oh, Crosshair. Someone please save him immediately.
17. There’s a lot of early doom panic around, well, everyone and everyone (especially Hunter) dying that I’m honestly going to ignore going forward. For reasons.

hiiii! i would like to send in a request for your follower event please!!! i was thinking of a monster/ghost au where the reader (i’ll leave gender up to you i’m not picky lol) was a medic for the 501st and was dating echo but died. so the reader is now a ghost haunting echo after he joins the bad batch!! i’m not sure if i want echo (or even the bad batch + omega) to be able to see the reader so i’ll leave that up to you as well if that’s okay? it’ll be like a surprise!! but i do want this to have a happy ending if possible please!!
Oh Traveler Come
Summary: You’ve always been a practical person. Realistic. So when you’re killed in an attack on the Resolute you’re legitimately surprised to find yourself sticking around after death. It’s not the way your world is supposed to work. But, when you find yourself bound to Echo, Echo who you were dating before he died, you start to think that maybe there’s a reason for it.
Pairing: TBB Echo x F!Reader
Word Count: 1542
Warnings: Some angst
Prompt: Ghost/Monster AU
Tagging: @trixie2023 @n0vqni @imabeautifulbutterfly
A/N: I wasn't sure, at first, how I was going to write this one, but I think I kind of like the idea that I came up with. Thanks for your request!
Tumblr media
“What a hell hole,” You scrunch up your nose as you trail after Echo into the barracks of his new squad, “Honestly Echo,” You say to your boyfriend, former boyfriend, who you know can’t hear you, “You should bully them into cleaning more. This is a crime against me.”
Echo doesn’t respond. Of course he doesn’t. He can’t see you, though sometimes it feels like he can hear you.
Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on your part.
You’re a ghost. You died in an attack on the Resolute. Well, to be more precise, you were killed by Ventress. At least, you’re pretty sure that’s what happened.
To be fair to yourself, you don’t actually remember dying.
But you’re a ghost, so you must have died. It’s the only logical conclusion.
For a time, you were attached to Fives, and then he died (and oh, isn’t that just infuriating? You know everything that Fives learned, but you can’t tell anyone-) and then you found yourself hovering over Echo.
You suppose it makes an odd sort of sense. You’ve always been closer to the domino twins than anyone else on the ship…well, outside of Kix. Although, you’re not disappointed that you’re not stuck haunting Kix.
Absently, you roll in the air so that you’re lounging on your back, you tuck your arms under your head and cross your legs. Being a ghost is weird. You can only travel so far away from Echo before you’re snapped back to his side, floating through walls still feels…weird. And you constantly feel like you’re spying on the boys.
Also, you don’t need to sleep anymore.
You shift when you hear a thunk, and you make a face when you see Hunter stripping his armor off. Time to make yourself scarce, just because they don’t know that they’re being haunted doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t allow them some privacy.
Sure, if you’ve seen one naked clone, you’ve seen them all. But still.
The only person you have any interest in seeing naked is Echo…and even then, not when he’s not aware that you’re watching.
You allow yourself to drift through the wall, and then sit up and cross your legs, lazily allowing your gaze to drift over the men walking through the hall.
What a lonely existence you’ve been cursed with.
Your hands find no purchase. Your gestures catch no eyes. And your pleas, whether they be whispered or screamed, reach not a single ear.
What horrific crime must you have committed to be cursed with this? It must have been truly awful-
“Hello?”
There’s no other explanation-
“Helloooo?”
This has to be a punishment-
“How are you floating?”
Wait, what?
Your gaze snaps to right in front of you. There’s a small child, a little blonde girl, standing in front of you, looking up at you through wide brown eyes. “...you can see me?”
“Yes, of course I can.”
“Gods,” You drop from the air until your kneeling in front of her, “How long has it been-”
She reaches out and presses her hands against your cheeks, and you’re surprised that she can touch you, “You’re cold.” The little girl says with a small frown, “Like touching ice.”
“I’m a ghost, little one.” You say through a choked laugh, “I have been for what feels like ages.”
“My name is Omega.” She says with a bright smile, “What’s your name?”
You blink the tears out of your eyes, as you introduce yourself.
“Would you like to come to my room with me? You must be so lonely.”
“I wish I could, but I’m bound to Echo.” You jab your thumb towards the door.
Omega looks from you, to the door, and then back to you. “He can’t see you?”
“Nope.”
“Or hear you?”
“Not at all.”
“That’s so sad!” Omega looks like she’s about to cry for a moment, and you flounder, unsure how to fix this, if this can be fixed. And then a look of determination crosses her face, “I’m going to help.”
“Are you?” You ask, bemused.
Omega steps around you and knocks on the door, loudly.
“They’re not going to believe you, kid.” You note as you take to the air again, folding your legs once more.
“I’ll make them.” Omega replies just before the door opens. Crosshair looks out the door, looking right through you, and then he glances down at Omega.
“...what?”
Omega lifts her chin, “I’m looking for Echo.”
Crosshair raises both of his brows, and then he turns to the side, “Echo, there’s a kid-hey!” He stares at Omega as she pushes into the room, and you, laughing quietly, trail after her.
“Um…which one is Echo?” Omega asks you, seemingly uncaring for the bemused, and bewildered, looks that were being aimed at her.
“The one with the prosthetics.” You say, amused, “They’re going to think you’re crazy, Omega.”
She frowns at you, and then turns to look at Echo, “But I’m not.”
“I know that, you know that. But ghosts aren’t supposed to be real, kid.”
“Then tell me something that will make them believe me.” Omega counters.
“Uh…kid? Who are you talking to?” Hunter asks slowly.
Omega says your name and you watch as Echo jerks, and something pained crosses his face. “She’s dead, you can’t be talking to her.” He says bluntly, and you’d almost believe that he didn’t care based on his tone, but there’s something so heartbroken on his face that your heart lurches painfully.
Omega stares at him for a moment, and then she points at you, “She’s right there. She says that she’s been following you for a while.”
Echo glances at you, or, well, at the spot where Omega says that you are, and the look of pain on his face only becomes more pronounced, “That’s…cruel, kid.”
“No, I-” Omega turns her gaze to you, “Help?”
You hesitate, and then you float over to Echo and lightly reach out, as if to touch him, though you stop before you actually manage it. “Tell him…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to break my promise.”
Omega dutifully gives him your message, and Echo jerks in surprise.
“She’s…actually here?”
“Right in front of you. She’s crying.”
You laugh through your tears, “Don’t tell him that-”
“Sorry.” Omega says sheepishly, “She didn’t want me to tell you that.”
“Why can’t I see her? Or feel her?”
“I don’t think anyone can.” Omega says thoughtfully, “She said that I’m the first person to see her since she died.”
For a moment, Echo looks wrecked. But then, he knows better than anyone how much you hate being alone.
You pull away from Echo, and return to Omega’s side, kneeling so that you’re closer to eye level with her, “Omega. I need you to pass on a message, exactly as I say it. Can you do that?”
She turns to look at you, “I can do that.”
“Good. Good girl.” You breathe out, and then you start speaking.
You tell Echo, though Omega, about Fives. About what he learned, about what got him killed. Omega is shaking by the time you finish talking, horror and fear on her face.
“We need proof,” Echo says quietly, “Cyare, please tell me you have proof.”
Omega, her hands shaking, gives him your answer, “She says that the proof is in your heads.”
“Then we need to do something about this.” Hunter says, “Omega, can you be the go between for us and the ghost doctor?”
“Ghost doctor?” You repeat under your breath.
“You…believe me?” Omega asks, her eyes wide.
“It does explain why Echo always smells a little bit like ozone.” Hunter says with a shrug, “Come on, let’s get to the bottom of this.”
Half an hour later, Echo is hacking into a computer terminal when he stumbles on a file with your name on it. The file is a very detailed description of the attack on the Resolute, the attack that you thought killed you.
Turns out, Ventress didn’t kill you.
She used an ancient force ability to separate your soul from your body. According to the notes, you were meant to be bound to Ventress, as a weapon to be used against the Republic, only instead of being bound to Ventress, you ended up bound to Fives, and then Echo.
Your body is located on a small asteroid in wild space, kept in a deep coma to keep your soul wandering. Tech quickly makes note of the location, and then they go back to work at dealing with the chips.
A single line of code added to the chips software by Tech, as well as a forced update to thc chips, meant that Order 66 could never be activated by anyone. And if someone managed it, the new order was to protect all jedi, rather than kill them.
It would give the Jedi time enough to survive, if nothing else.
Then the Batch flees Kamino, with Omega. Intent on going to claim their doctor’s body, and then head to the Jedi temple in the hopes that they’ll be able to put you back in your body.
You and Echo will get your happy ending, you just have to fight for it.
And, really, isn’t that the case with all happy endings?

We Should Stick Together (Sergeant Hunter x Reader)
Notes: Based on the Whispers of Ghosts Series by @meadow-of-daisies-and-lavender. A semi-sequel to my previous vignette "Safe Haven". Reader is nicknamed Bright Eyes and formerly worked as a Social Worker on Kamino. Takes place between 03x09 "The Harbinger" and 03x11 "The Point of No Return". Slightly suggestive at the end there.
Tumblr media
It had been several hours since Ventress's visit had drawn to a close. Omega was sleeping over with Lyana, recounting every detail of her brief training with the former assassin, and Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair sat around the table on Shep's porch, talking intently in hushed voices. Bright was curious, of course, but she let Hunter talk with his brothers as she helped Shep clean up from dinner. Shep insisted she didn't need to help, her legs were still sore and she had dizzy spells from time to time, but Bright liked feeling useful. Shep and Pabu had done so much for her, it was the least she could do.
The dishes were almost done when the whispering on the porch ceased. Bright recognized Wrecker's heavy footsteps leading away from the house, and assumed they were all retiring to the ship. She quickly finished, made sure to say goodnight to the girls, and left. She was surprised to find Hunter waiting for her on the porch.
"Hunter, you didn't have to wait for me." she sighed, but smiled. She knew even with all the stress Ventress had given him, he wouldn't miss out on a chance to spend time with her. It was a luxury Kamino, the war, and her work on Alderaan had never afforded them.
Hunter rose from his chair and leaned over to press a kiss to her forehead, "I wanted to walk you home."
His voice was heavy with exhaustion, and Bright's heart fluttered. Hunter laced his fingers through hers, and waited for Bright to start walking before he followed.
"I was hoping you'd come out and join us on the porch," Hunter said. Was that... Disappointment in his voice?
Bright shrugged and rubbed her hands along her arms to warm them up, "I didn't know you wanted me there."
"I want you with us. With me." Hunter squeezed her hand.
Bright pressed her arm against his as they walked. Hunter took smaller strides to keep their pace even.
"What did you talk about?" Bright asked as they approached Phee's house. Phee rarely ever used it, and she insisted that Bright stay so that she would have privacy while she recovered from her recent kidnapping. Bright didn't mind the privacy, and neither did Hunter.
"Ventress's warning," Hunter opened the door for Bright, "She said it would be too easy for the Empire to find us here."
Maybe Shep had been right that cleaning would exhaust her. Bright's legs started to buckle, and she sat down on the couch to take a deep breath.
Hunter turned on the lights and sat next to her.
"Crosshair and Wrecker agree that the best thing to do is to leave."
Bright's heart fell. Leaving again. Hunter and his family had lost every home they'd ever had, they didn't deserve to be chased all over the galaxy like this. Why couldn't the universe give them a break?
Tears began to well in her eyes as her thoughts turned more selfish. She didn't want Hunter to leave Pabu because she didn't want him to leave her. Of course, she'd been the one to leave the first time, but not because she had another choice. Then again, she supposed Hunter didn't have a choice here, either. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't do to protect his family, especially Omega, and now that they'd gotten Crosshair back....
She couldn't keep Hunter to herself. She knew that when she first started to fall in love with him.
Hunter cradled her chin in his hand, "Oh sweet girl, we'll come back of course. Once Echo and Rex figure out where Tantiss is, we'll help them destroy it. Then we'll be free, we won't have to worry about them coming after Omega anymore, for whatever reason."
That eased some of the ache in Bright's heart, and she wrapped her arms around his neck, "Good, I'm glad to hear that."
Hunter gently pulled her onto his lap, massaging the sore muscles in her thighs and lower back. He buried his face in her neck, and Bright felt his smile against her skin.
"Where will you go?" She asked.
Hunter paused, and lifted his head to look at her.
"'You'?" he asked, confused.
Bright blinked, and her lips pursed as she wondered what he meant. Now she was confused as well.
"Bright, you're coming with us." Hunter said.
If his hands weren't supporting her back, Bright Eyes would have gotten whiplash.
"What?" She stammered.
Hunter placed his hands on her arms, gently grounding her.
"Bright, I want you to come with us." He insisted.
Bright tried to say several things, but none of them made it from her brain to her mouth.
"Do you not want to come with us?" Hunter's eyes reflected the lamplight, making him look like a kicked massif pup.
"N-No!" Bright blurted, "I-I mean yes- no, I mean, yes, I want to come with you." she finished with a breathless gasp.
Hunter's eyes shone, lifting his entire body with a smile,"Good." He pressed his lips to hers without another question.
"I've almost lost you twice now," He murmured in between kisses. His lips brushed her cheek, her nose, her forehead, "Both times almost destroyed me. I won't leave you again."
Bright sighed into the last kiss as Hunter's hands slid down her back, wrapping around her waist. Her earlier worries sounded so stupid now, of course Hunter would want them to go together.
She laced her fingers into his hair, bringing his head to rest against her chest
"I never want to be without you ever again," Hunter said.
Bright's whole body felt electric, like static primed to leap to the nearest metal surface. "Hunter, are you asking me to marry you?" Bright whispered. Her whole body tingled in anticipation, waiting for his answer.
Hunter looked up, studying her. He was absolutely quiet, and Bright was worried that wasn't his intention at all.
Before she could panic, Hunter pressed his nose against hers and took a deep breath.
"When I propose to you, it's going to be just about the two of us. No Empire, no brothers, not even Omega. Just you and me. It's going to be on a day that only has happy memories for the two of us, something romantic, something you'll look back on and giggle like a child."
Bright ran her tongue over her lips.
"I like that idea," She said. Hunter chuckled.
"I thought you might, mesh'la."
Bright felt like crying all over again, but now for an entirely different reason.
"I'm with you, Hunter. Now and forever," she whispered.
"Now who's the one who sounds like they're proposing?" He teased. Bright smacked his arm and Hunter's laughter rang out in the small hut regardless.
Before Bright could scold him, Hunter kissed her again. His hand slipped under her legs as the other flattened against her back, and Bright knew neither of them were going to get much sleep that night.
Hunter lifted her into his arms, and Bright diligently wrapped her arms around his neck to keep her balance.
"I think I need to make sure you know that I never want to leave you again."

Ok...I might have to watch TBB Ep 10&11 again...but...SPOILERS:
Tumblr media
But I DO BELIEVE this man snuck onto Clone-X's ship and is hiding out...even Omega doesn't know he's there.
Maybe I missed him showing up somewhere on the island after that ship took off? Someone please let me know.
In the beginning of the episode Hunter looked in the direction of where the ship landed, seeing the island birds flying away and definitely telling someone he sensed something was off.
He also knows since Ventress landed in that beach cave that it's the ideal place to infiltrate the island.
When he swam to shore, Batcher didn't just seem to be happy he was ok...she MIGHT have alerted on a presence down at the beach...just like she did when Ventress landed.
And, he was RIGHT there (unless he was dumped on the OTHER side of the island) that he might check out to see if anyone landed a ship there. Is he on board? Is Batcher with him? Or did he plant a tracking device himself? Am I assuming too much? Maybe he can radio Rex and Echo for help? Emerie may help break out the children and clone prisoners? Maybe I'm wearing clown shoes...
Lastly...If he didn't make it on the ship, REALLY don't think Hunter is going to ride Crosshair's ass for his mistake with letting Omega go. He could have really raked Cross over the coals back on Barton IV, but he didn't. Now that Crosshair recognizes the stakes, I seriously doubt it's going to happen.
Honestly, with 4 episodes left, we don't have time for more squabbling.
I still feel it's hard to tell if Clone-X is Tech or Cody. The voice sounded like both at different times. If it was Tech HOW could he forget the coordinates to Pabu when Phee put her hand on his shoulder in S2 and gave them to him while he was going all goggle eyed over her touch?
Nala Se getting Emerie to question her motivations to head Project Necromancer. I feel that Emerie is gonna turn on the Empire. Will she survive?
Terrifying that it's children involved in the project...and now they have a baby to experiment on. Hope that force sensitive babeh force throws some bad guys in later episodes like that freakin' vase.
Hemlock and Tarkin passive-aggressively arguing over project funding. lol
Luckily Batcher wasn't shot. I was a bit scared there.
Hopefully Wrecker is going to be all right. He has to be since we see him in the trailer in the Juggernaut and there is an episode named Juggernaut.
The Marauder is gone, so they need another ship. Is that what Phee helps them with in the trailer?
Glad Cad Bane was used ONLY momentarily in the episode instead of using up the whole episode. He seemed to fit in the story and the episode did indeed further the plot. Sorry, but I don't thing Ventress and Fennec's arc really did much of that for two whole episodes. We missed out on a lot of relevant storytelling.
LASTLY: PHEE'S BADASS VIBRO SWORD, YA'LL!!!
