Just realized...

I just realized that Dr. Hemlock mostly called Emerie, "Dr. Karr" this episode (in season 2 he had called her nothing but Emerie to her face), but Nala Se calls her Emerie.

One heartbreaking thing about this episode. All the children just want to go home. But Emerie must realize she has no home.

Her only "home" was Dr. Hemlock, and he was never a father to her. The only home is family, and that is Omega, and other clones. Perhaps Nala Se as well, if she can forgive the woman that made her (and assuming she doesn't die).

You know, if Hemlock was smarter, he’d have Emerie test Omega’s blood in front of him and then he’d wait right there with them for the results.

Instead he’s like “test her right now…..okay bye!”

TBB X EPIC - Pt. 3

Nothin' like combining two fixations into one.

Kid you not, after the Ithaca Saga was released, I couldn't listen to anything else until like a day ago. And even then what I listened to was other songs from other sagas.

Anywho! I've had this AU idea in my head for a while now (like sometime in November) and now that the whole musical has been officially released, I had the motivation to put the idea onto digital paper.

So, without further ado:

The Bad Guys!

Dr. Hemlock -> Zeus Asajj Ventress -> Scylla Rampart -> Poseidon Cad Bane -> Antionus

I tried to make the characters match up as much as possible, but some are more fitting than others. Don't think about it too much.

While Poseidon is like the main big bad™️ in EPIC as Hemlock is in TBB, I thought Hemlock being Zeus was a bit more fitting

Like the whole taunting bit of making Odysseus choose between him and his crew just felt like a Hemlock thing to do

Also both of them just give me the creeps because they're both real sleemos

Ventress as Syclla because she had that interaction with the vrathean and I wanted to incorporate that since they're both sea monsters

Can you tell I had fun with designing her?

Also, Syclla sees right through Odysseus the same Ventress does with Hunter and Cross when having that conversation about them having to leave Pabu because she knows they're not safe - idk it makes more sense in my head

Rampart as Poseidon because he's the other Imp that causes the Batch suffering in the show like Hemlock does - so since they're both Imps they both get to be gods

Don't ask me who Polyphemus is, I honestly have no idea

Idk they're both petty bitches who got what was coming to them - what more can I say?

Cad Bane as Antionus because of the showdown he has with Hunter and I didn't know who else to have as Antionus lmao

Plus he captures Omega at one point and interacts with her - not in the way Antionus interacts with Telemachus in the musical but still

Yeah I could also see him flirting with Jung to get a reaction out of Hunter too

I jokingly told my friend @thepagemasternerd who doesn’t watch The Bad Batch to research Dr. Hemlock so she can write my fics for me.

Even I’m startled by the long list of crimes, but the hobby section is unnervingly accurate.

This man is a straight up super-villain.

His name is Dr. Hemlock, after a poisonous plant.

He has developed a toxin he is now immune to, (who knows what the experiments are that were mentioned) and just look at the way he’s lit.

But I like him as a villain; calm, collected, sinister. He alone makes me so much more worried about the finale, and helps to build tension.

And damn do I want to see him get his comeuppance in the end.

Please don't hate me, I know this man is pure evil and a psychopath and I do not support any of his actions.

But why the hell did the devs decide to give him those eyes and that voice?! Seriously, this is pure sadism.

I'm sorry, but I cannot feel sorry for Nala Se. Did everyone forget about what happened to Fives? Tup?... Yes, I am worried about Omega, but Idgaf about Nala Se or Lama Su.

So I finally caught up on The Bad Batch and I have a theory.

I think Dr. Hemlock’s assistant, Emerie, is gunna turn on him. She doesn’t seem too sure about her job. The way she told Crosshair that “there is no escape” didn’t seem like a threat. It seemed like a warning. Like she had realized there is no way she’d be able to leave.

She didn’t seem comfortable with the way Dr. Hemlock spoke to Crosshair about needing Omega. It will be interesting to see if she becomes allied with Crosshair at some point.

TBB X EPIC - FINAL

EPIC is currently consuming my life again, thanks to the Ithaca saga being released and the whole musical being officially finished, so of course I had to go ahead and combine it with my old fixation.

Thus a Bad Batch Epic AU was born.

Had this idea rattling around my head for a bit now and I've finally done something with it. Idk if I'll do more with it - like cover other characters or whatever - but I had to get this out of my system.

I cannot recommend this musical enough. Idk what Jorge put in it but it's like cocaine to me.

Anyways! Here's what I've got and don't think about the character relationships or who is who too much - some work a lot better than others - the only thing really consistent with EPIC and my Silly Squad AU is Hunter, Omega, and Jung as Odysseus, Telemachus, and Penelope.

Other than that, this was all for fun :D

Does Dr. Hemlock remind anyone else of another character? He does me. Not a specific character, but there's something at the tip of my brain that makes him seem really familiar and I can't place what it might be.

Honestly it might not even be a Star Wars character.

I had the weirdest thought. Someone has to do Hemlock’s hair. This man has a barber. His hair isn’t even popular Imperial fashion. It’s technically his own fashion sense he made up. Speaking of, he is actually fashionable? Like, this dude has a personality outside of torturing people. This is all so odd to consider.
