I have two requests rn that ended up being much more elaborate than I thought they'd be, so in the meantime here's some furries from my sketchbook. Medic is a bull terrier and Sniper is a huntaway dog, they get in scuffles a lot (play to Medic, actual fights to Snipes). Scout and his ma are hares but Spy is a rabbit. And Heavy is of course a bear, how could I resist.

How do pets work with robots? Do robots even prefer having them at all? Are there cool robotic pets like sentient IDogs they can get? How do they deal with stuff like massive amounts of shedding and stuff like that if they like pets?

Okay again it depends on the robot but robots having pets is surprisingly common! Max and Tandy both have quite a few pets between them

Tandys pets: Georgie (outdoor barn cat, not super keen on interaction)

and he also had a huntaway at some point, tho he doesn't have a name and was just a working dog so he wasn't super involved in the dogs life compared to Maggie who Tandy adores,

you won't see these pets a lot in the story or writing because none of them came up to Auckland with Tandy Max has two pets A ginger cat called Mutt

and a (very old) Mastiff mix called Badjelly the Witch (Or just Bad Jelly or Jelly for short)

these two DO appear in the story because they live with Max and Phillip for a time. I've grown up around big dogs and cats and love to include them in my stories when I can. Robots and animals tend to get along just fine for the most part, cats and dogs at least don't view them as any different than a human owner. Though I imagine robots must smell and sound weird to them and pets that robots aren't already familiar with would be scared by them. Things like fur and mess that animals create could be slightly damaging to a robot but there's nothing a quick vacuum can't fix As I've stated before Sierra hates dogs and I imagine that strains Max and Sierras relationship even more

I was thinking of giving Lithium and Sonnet a robot dog! They have robot animals in their universe that I believe would be sentient too? So they'd behave just like a dog/cat/whatever would

New Zealand has produced several remarkable lines of border collie and the huntaway. Well regarded though it is in Australia, where it is notorious for walking across the backs of tightly bunched sheep, and among a small group of fans in the United States, the kelpie is generally rated below the border collie by most American sheepdog fans. It looks more basic, works farther afield, and is more independent, although it too has the "eye," the intense, direct stare that is said to mesmerize sheep. A few border collie aficionados claim the kelpie barks too much while their dogs are always silent. People make many exaggerated claims about dogs; border collies can bark with the best.

This is rlly confusing but weeeeeeee I don't care. So, I know I have a great dane kintype, okay? But I also feel like a herding dog. Two entirely different dogs, but both dogs. Trying to find out which herding breed fits me the best but I am side-eyeing huntaways.
