Rory has been trending a little bun-obsessed lately, probably because we have lots of bunnies in our condo complex and she has to practice a lot of impulse control as she can't chase or really fixate on them, so I've been looking for ways to help her fulfill her bunny-murder urges safely.

Unfortunately we don't have a ton of areas I comfortable coursing her (letting her chase buns until she can't see them or catches them) because our bunnies are mostly urban animals BUT I was at the bougie pet store for unrelated reasons and they had dried rabbit feets which gave me an idea!

I bought a few and got some paper bags and put Rory in another room while I hid them around the apartment to sniff out, destroy, and eat. I figured it would satisfy some of her murder urges, even if it's not the whole predation sequence.

She was pretty happy about it! I'll try to add this to our rotation of enrichment activities and maybe get a few rabbit feet to chuck at her outdoors sometimes. Hopefully it'll help vent those bunny frustrations so they don't build up and hurt my good dog behaviours.

the weird thing about scarlet hollow is i went in intending fully to romance stella and lean into it and then somehow i just…. ended up wanting to get to know and bond with tabitha instead? i skipped the romance scene for cousin hangout

Today was a day for running errands, but I did buy myself (and my dad) a couple of treats. I also spent some time finding some more seasonal books for my kindle, which I’m excited to get stuck into.

logically, chiyo knows they're safe. the non-believer in her tells her yes, this building is creepy as hell, but creepy atmosphere and creaking floorboards doesn't mean there's actual ghosts. she's never seen one in the flesh ( er, ectoplasm?? ); if she's never seen one, why should she believe they exist at all? and if they don't exist, she has nothing to be afraid of.

she keeps going through this mental debate as the trio of them investigate room after room. jovie remains close by with a flashlight in hand, occasionally checking in while luka trails not too far ahead. he's keeping an eye out for anything dangerous... or for rotted flooring, most likely. their calm demeanors only push chiyo to continue pushing down the distinct feeling of unease that's settled in her chest, partially out of pride and partially because that's proof she shouldn't be scared.

and then something crashes in the distance.

luka takes off to investigate, but jovie's hand is in chiyo's in the blink of an eye. the blonde clutches it for dear life, instinctively moving closer to her friend as her heart races like a startled rabbit. " what the hell was that?? " she all but squeaks, all of that rationalizing gone and images of apparitions in its place. her other hand grips jovie's wrist as wide, brown eyes meet emerald.

chiyo doesn't really want to go towards the unexplained noise, but they can't very well leave luka behind. she squeezes jovie's hand. " should we go after him? "

The baker blinks at the sight before him.

While he was always happy to see Senritsu's backside, it was an interesting sight to see it out of a window. An inquisitive tilt of his head soon followed as he took in her work. The rope was fastened securely, bags secured snugly to her person and from the looks of it, she wasn't moving too fast.

He opens his mouth to speak but he stops himself.

Chris respected the art of sneaking in and out of places. It wasn't that long ago he was shimmying out of his childhood home and creeping towards his hidden skateboard. Heck, his childhood friend could tell you plenty of stories of him finding way to sneak into her home just so he wouldn't have to deal with her rude family.

So the baker figured he'd wait and keep an eye out on anyone approaching.

As the musician gets closer to the ground, he offers her a kind smile.

"Do you need a hand?"

“What kind?” Ana didn't look over, just walked over to the display of weapons on the wall. Perusing them as someone might a library of books. “Longsword, sabre, scimitar, kalis, jian… a khopesh might be fun.” 

It was still a bit strange to her, having a cousin around. Though, not any stranger than it was with her brothers, she supposed - at least she knew who Nadezhda’s parents were, that was more than she could say for Alyosha’s mother. But their upbringings had been so different, part of her wondered if she would get along with the girl much at all. Still, another part of her thought it might be fun. There had never been another girl her age around. 

“What do you need it for?” she asked, finally looking over with a hint of a smile. Problems aside, there was one thing everyone in their family seemed to enjoy. “Any fun I might want to be a part of?”

The choice of how I've been doing compositions for a couple of TMMD illustrations can be traced back to my Alfons Mucha phase a while back where I found out chunk of his work was advertising material, and as I looked at them, I decided I wanted to make illustrations that looked like they were designed to sell something without actually having a product being sold.

It was not difficult to make the Dominant of Fire bleed. Weakened as he was by the power of Ultima he had taken into himself, it wasn't uncommon for him to brush against something that was just a bit too sharp and discover later that he had bled through his undershirt. The wounds always healed, the skin knitting back together by the power of the Phoenix, and while aggravating it was always something he had simply accepted as part of his life.

The wound cut by the Dominant of Odin was not likely to heal in so neat a fashion.

For a moment there hadn't even been blood, just neatly severed skin and muscle that Joshua found himself reaching up to grasp at in vain, almost as if he could forcibly hold his shoulder together. Seconds ticked by before he felt the warmth of hot blood trickling down between his fingers, soaking through his glove and running down his wrist as it grew in force.

The only blessing was the fact that it did not hurt. The cut had been so clean he had felt nothing, and that feeling was slowly spreading down his left arm as well. A blessing, of course, and not a worrying sign that the wound may well end up permanent.

It didn't stop him from trying to reach inside himself to summon the Phoenix. His flames were weak and barely crackled along his skin, a sign of his stubborn resistance against the King despite this battle already becoming one-sided.

"Most people use their words as greeting," Joshua spat out toward the King of Ash. "I see you feel you are above even that formality."

I can only imagine when Venomshank got a child, Dark didn't like that, did he? So he ruined that for his brother. Because Dark caused the death of his own, yeah? - @simply-windy

“All you could hear was your mother’s wrath after she heard about what happened to Sea Cookie. It yelled and cursed you! Treated you like the dirt it walked on!”

“It gave you a gift for it only to be destroyed a few years later. The child was only 7, was he not?”

The green Hata’u leaned closer to his torn ear, causing Darkheart to sink more into the tail. He was shaking and trying to sob and breakdown.
