Flora's always found Val more on the attractive side since meeting her. She's sure she's made it obvious with the little stares and the way she'd not so subtly check out the woman whenever Val walks into a room. The fact that she doesn't hide the sly smile whenever Val meets her gaze is proof enough to anyone with eyes that Flora's attracted to her.

It changes the first time she sees her dressed to the nines. High heels and a little black number that shows off her legs leaves Flora a little tongue-tied for the first time in ages. One too many inappropriate images flash through her head and this time she finds herself glancing away in heated embarrassment.

Bringing the champagne flute to her lips, she tries not to choke when Valdis appears magically beside her.

Val's lips curl up into a smirk. "Everything okay?" the other woman asks.

"Mhm..." Flora manages, slowly meeting her eyes.

There's a knowing glint in the other's eyes. Val steps closer, reaching out to carefully drag a finger along her arm. Heat rises over her skin where she's touched and it only seems to amuse the other woman more.

"You seem rather... flushed though."

"Just one too many drinks--" The excuse rolls off her tongue as Val makes a suggestion of her own in Flora's ear. "--maybe we should go some place so I can help you to collect yourself."

Flora sucks in a breath, comprehending what's been said. Val's still smirking, but her brow raises in question as if asking 'Well?'

A laugh falls from Val's lips when Flora nods a little too enthusiastically. No one seems to notice when the pair disappear for quite some time afterwards.

Erika sits on the swing, letting her feet drag against the ground. Her eyes remaining glue to the tracks forming from her small movements. She refuses to look at Yong, not wanting to admit to yet another problem she has now that she's woken from her coma. Especially when the problem she has is with Yong himself.

"What's there to talk about?" she retorts harshly.

He's the one that's moved on. He's the one with a girlfriend. He's the one that's gotten to live his life the past decade while she hasn't.

Yeah, everything's just peachy.

She doesn't notice when he's moved in front of her, stopping her from swinging forward, until his hands are on either side of the swing. Jolting at the sudden stop, Erika ends up staring up at him wide-eyed and annoyed. He stares back, seeming to have his own silent argument in his head.

She let out an exhale, looking away from him. Everything's just too complicated, Erika wants to yell but doesn't. It isn't fair. Nothing about this seems fair.

"Nothing's wrong, Yong, so just leave it, okay?" she lies.

Yong pauses, considers reaching out to her only to stop himself. A gesture that goes unnoticed by Erika. Instead his hands drop back to his sides and he takes a step back.

Silence falls between them once more, stretching longer and longer with each unspoken conversation between them. And as simple as she knows how to break the spell, she can never bring herself to do so either.
