Juliette Binoche, 61, succeeds Barbie director Greta Gerwig, who was president last year. She is one of the few actresses to have achieved a hat trick: Best Actress at Cannes for Certified Copy, by Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami, as well as at the Venice Film Festival and the Berlinale. She is also one of the few French actresses to have won an Oscar, in 1997 for a supporting role in The English Patient. I made these two portraits of her ''en vole'' at Cannes in 1997. So charming, with a smile ''that drips honey'' A great actress!

@filmfestivalgr 2001 From my project and performance exhibition during the film festival with thematic ''The Horror'' This form of world cinema, which put its stamp on the USA. with ''Night and the city'' and in Europe, in France with ''Du rififi chez les hommes'' and finally his works in Greece which left an era with ''Phaedra'', ''Top Kapi'' and "Never on Sunday"… When I met him in my studio at the festival I shot him very close with #carlzeiss120mmmacroplanar f/4. I wanted the face to "come out" of my frame, as if it wanted to talk about all that it experienced in the 3 countries it lived in…
