Day 100: Princess and Knight AU

In a world where the Island is all good and well, has a monarchy ruling over it and Siffrin is the heir to the throne. Cracking under the pressure of their position, Siffrin wants to escape, but is unable to leave his position empty, so in desperation he makes a wish for a "perfect replacement", except who could be a perfect replacement if not, well, themself! Loop is made, in that moment a being that has all of their knowledge and experiences but isn't "them" (point of view) seems perfect, they will do great! And Siffrin leaves, only to later realize that, hey, that's like them, literally them, they abandoned themself to a life that both of them hate.

Fast forward a couple of years, the Island is in political turmoil, the heir to the throne, Loop, is kidnapped by King, a member of an offshoot branch of the royal family that demands for a transfer of power. His base is in Vaugarde and outside of the Island's legislation, unable to send official forces, the royal family instead issues a notice "the one who saves the heir will get their hand in marriage", but as it goes with the Island it's not just a motivation for some hero, it's a wish, one made to keep the heir alive for that to happen.

Enter Siffrin, who became a wandering knight after his escape, currently travelling with the party (assembled for different reasons than canon). He catches word of what is happening with the island right now and well, he never stopped regretting what he did, but at some point all the marks left by the life outside the castle became too much to be able to seamlessly return to the life before. But isn't marrying someone you don't know, with no way to refuse just the worst? It's high time they stopped running running away from their responsibilities. So he dons his armour, leaves camp in secret under the cover of the night and goes to rescue.

When they see him, Loop is livid. Siffrin left them all this time to deal with his shit just to return now?? They reconvene with the party and it's time for the road to the Island, very tense and heartbreaking conversations, living up to responsibility, healing and severely confused onlookers.

So the GIW is the Ghost Investigation Ward and not the Ghost Extermination Ward, yes? Hear me out, hm? 

See, it’s really hard to study ecto-entities when they’re going all over in and out of the world. Really hard! And of course they aren’t like, sentient, studies for years before the boom in this one town showed this! But, the overgrown not-birds (they’re still debating that) are really hard to watch doing their natural thing when they naturally mimic people around them! 

So! They got this idea, right? Their operatives can capture some! They’ve even made enclosures based off of what they currently know! It’s like containing crows, down to the mimicry & puzzle solving just er, with opposable thumbs and intangibility. 

And they don’t succeed first tries of course (Wow were said operatives frustrated and maybe cursing a bit that might be a bit violently) but then they get some assistance from the Fentons! Trying to hit an ecto-entities’ wings in a way to not permanently injure them is hard, but the new net canons that a ghost can’t pass through? Perfect! 

They have so many specimens now! They even released a few that were very much uncontainable- they rely on technology a bit and that entity kept unlocking all the doors. So catch and release with that one it is!  

They even managed to catch the white-haired ghost! In double! Which might not seem that important, but! As they realize during intake & initial examination (wow are they bitey) the two appear to be young! Something their ectobiologists only theorized about but oh are they excited! (Now if only the two would stop trying to escape their enclosure that’d be swell! Look, toys! Foo- oh dear God that baby ecto-entity is melting- Oh few, okay note taken to raise ambient ecto levels in that room dear god that was horrifying and stressful. … Maybe get some feelers out for feeding unstable energy entities…)

i think it is so important that when adam was talking about getting a job, he said, "we're gonna have expenses." him and michael were going to have expenses, and adam needed to get a job to pay for them. it's important because, in reality, they weren't going to have expenses. michael stopped all of adam's human needs for food and water, and there wasn't a need for a house when michael could fly them anywhere in the world and adam didn't need sleep, but noooo, adam wanted to live a domestic little human life with michael, and he was going to work for it.

KMKY doodles

Here are doodles of my KMKY human Bill. Not sure if its the final-final design but somewhat along these lines.

His hair is straight but pointy, kinda fried looking but still somehow silky smooth to touch, got the shine (For a greasy scientist Ford put a lot of effort into this fleshy project when it comes to the aesthetics , what a simp-/j)

The triangle on his jumper isn't a set part of the design but I imagined that Ford could've made Bill's clothing more "personalized" by maybe stitching small triangles onto them.

I reckon he does. I looked up when the name day would be:

The name day for Nikolai is typically celebrated on 6th December, which is Saint Nicholas Day. In some cultures, particularly in Bulgaria and other Eastern Orthodox countries, it is also celebrated on 9th May, the day of the translation of the relics of Saint Nicholas.

I can't decide whether he would go with December because he loves the winter, or whether he would see the poetry in choosing the spring to represent new beginnings. Just as the new lambs bounce into the world, the green shoots of life begin to flourish, green of spring banishing the cold grey and the brown of winter, so did Nikolai's life begin out of the ashes of his old one.
