The Night Manager is back!

BBC confirms the long-awaited return of The Night Manager for two more series.

Eight years after it launched onto our screens, it has been officially confirmed that the hit BBC series will be returning for not just one, but two more series.

Tom Hiddleston will reprise his iconic role as Jonathan Pine in the new series, coming to BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK.

Inspired by the characters in John le Carré’s best-selling novel, The Night Manager follows former British soldier Jonathan, who is now working as the night manager of a luxury hotel. His world is quickly turned upside down when he is “hired by an intelligence officer to infiltrate the inner circle of a secretive arms dealer without blowing his cover.” The Night Manager show starred Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander and Elizabeth Debicki. It has already been announced that Tom Hiddleston will return and Hugh Laurie will also executive producer.

The show, which originally aired back in 2016, has been rumoured to return for quite some time, and the BBC has finally announced that filming for its second series will commence later this year.

The Night Manager will once again be written by series creator David Farr, with BAFTA winner Georgi Banks-Davies attached to direct all six episodes of series two.

Picking up eight years after the explosive finale of season one, filming begins on the new series later this year. Stephen Garrett will return to lead the production of the series. Hugh Laurie will be an executive producer on the upcoming series, who played arms dealer Richard Roper.

The show could be on screens in 2025. The Night Manager, adapted from a John le Carré novel, won several BAFTAs, Emmys and Golden Globes.

A friend of mine sent this to me. If I ever get to meet Hugh I'd honestly want to give him a hug. Depression is exhausting to deal with. It's no joke, I deal with it everyday. I have contemplated suicide in the past and still contemplate it from time to time. Anytime someone asks me how I'm doing I normally respond with a fairly convincing I'm fine. I'm not in fact okay, I've never been okay and I don't know if I ever will be. Hopefully Hugh is in a better place mentally now.
