The Challenge Between Yukimaru and Amō

Character: Yukimaru | Amo Summary: So Ashihara's comment on the character profile says "Yukimaru once challenged Amo, who uses a Black Trigger, to a fight. They ended up becoming friends after that." How does it actually go? Notes: I try to imagine Yukimaru Vs. Amo right here.

In front of the solo rank war booths of Border HQ, the air buzzed with excitement. Yukimaru, a spirited 16-year-old, stood confidently, his eyes gleaming with eagerness. He had heard stories of Tsukihiko Amō, the notorious S-rank agent, and couldn’t resist the urge to challenge him.

Yukimaru: "Hey, Amō! I’ve heard you’re strong! How about a spar? I want to see how I stack up against you!"

Amō, lounging casually against a wall, lifted his head, a smirk playing on his lips. At 16, he was already recognized for his abilities but often felt stifled by opponents who didn’t challenge him.

Amō: "Alright, I’ll give you a shot..."

Yukimaru, fueled by adrenaline, launched himself forward with his dual Raygusts in a dazzling display of agility. He aimed to close the distance quickly, hoping to strike before Amō could unleash his devastating Black Trigger.

With a playful laugh, he unleashed a flurry of strikes, each move fueled by his youthful enthusiasm. Amō countered effortlessly, his Black Trigger allowing him to maneuver with grace and power, showcasing the experience that came with being an S-rank agent.

As the duel progressed, Yukimaru’s determination shone through. Despite the skill gap, he fought with heart, refusing to back down, which caught Amō's attention.

Amō: "Not bad. You've got guts. I like that."

Yukimaru: "I won’t let you use that blast on me!"

Amō chuckled, unfazed. With a swift movement, he activated his Black Trigger, creating a shield of energy that absorbed the initial strikes from Yukimaru’s Raygusts. The force of Yukimaru’s attacks reverberated through the ground, causing dust to swirl around them.

Realizing the raw power Amō possessed, Yukimaru adjusted his tactics. He began to weave in and out, using the terrain to his advantage, trying to force Amō to use his blast in close quarters.

Yukimaru: "I’ve got to stay unpredictable!"

Yukimaru executed a series of feints, darting around Amō and striking from different angles. Amō, intrigued by the challenge, allowed himself to engage in a game of cat and mouse, using his Black Trigger defensively to counter Yukimaru’s attacks without fully unleashing its devastating potential.

As the fight escalated, Yukimaru saw an opening. He charged with a powerful strike, aiming directly for Amō’s core. In that moment, Amō felt the energy radiating from Yukimaru’s determination and skill. Instead of countering with his Black Trigger, he decided to test Yukimaru’s resolve.

Amō: "Show me what you’ve got."

Yukimaru poured everything he had into that strike, and for a brief moment, the energy of their two powers clashed. Amō, impressed by Yukimaru's tenacity, finally released a controlled burst from his Black Trigger—not a full nuclear blast, but enough to create a shockwave that sent Yukimaru tumbling back with his dual raygusts, yet unharmed.

Panting and exhilarated, Yukimaru landed on his feet, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Yukimaru: "That was awesome! You really know how to hold back and keep it exciting!"

Amō, with his usual blank stares, nodded in agreement.

Amō: "You’ve got potential, Yukimaru."

Yukimaru: "That was incredible! You’re on another level!"

Amō: "You’re not half bad either. You fight with heart, and that’s rare. I could use someone like you around."

As Yukimaru caught his breath, a newfound respect blossomed between them. They realized that, while their powers were vastly different, their shared passion for battle and growth connected them on a deeper level.

With a firm handshake, both 16-year-old warriors found respect and camaraderie in each other, motivated to grow stronger together, sharing laughter and light-hearted banter as they prepared for future challenges.

Batman Danny Phantom vs Superman; some thoughts

I enjoy the many Batfam x danny phantom fics i've seen but consider that phantom has a suite of powers similar to superman.

Phantom has intangibility among other powers, and he's already half dead anyway. He might as well fight superman. When you think about it though, he could probably find kryptonite SOMEWHERE in the ghost zone, if he REALLY needed to get serious about it.

Although I feel like Danny probably is a fan and would not be seriously fighting Superman to the death. Plus I think Superman would realize he's fighting a teenager and then feel a little bad, or at least he'd cotton on that Phantom isn't serious about the fight either and is just messing around.

Danny was big fan of space stations, shuttles, all things orbital really. Not that Danny had any time to indulge in his hobbies since his half-death...

After kicking Pariah Dark's ass, enough was enough. He laid down some ghost attack rules with his usual rogues, after they all started calling him the king for some reason (lol he is in denial about that but rolling with it). Now, if they wanted to spook and scare in the realm of the living, or otherwise antagonize Danny, they had to schedule it ahead of time. Or else, they would not only be yeeted back into the Ghost Zone, but also do time in Walker's prison. (and sometimes community service)

Now Danny has a little more free time, to explore all the junk floating in Earths outer atmosphere! And obviously he invites himself into the Justice League's awesome HQ. He stalks the corridors of the Watchtower invisibly and intangibly, a fly on the wall, for days on end. He would insist he's not being creepy. Or villainous for that matter. When he mentions this JL ghosting to his friends, Tucker points out to him that if any league members catch on to his behavior, they will think he's some kind of supervillain, casing the place before an attack!

OK, so it sounds like it's time to make his presence known, before anyone gets the wrong idea! Only Danny is still awkward as hell. And how do you normally introduce yourself to them after you spent 3 weeks familiarizing yourself with every facet of the wiring of their airlock systems.

Everything obviously goes completely wrong when Phantom just sorta phases up through the floor in the middle of a casual meeting between a few of the human league members.

All he's done is introduce himself, but the atmosphere has gotten WAY too tense for Phantom's liking, and he tries easing the tension by saying "someone should crack a window in here" but Danny's still eager to talk about the orbital base so he disarmingly adds "actually I could probably do that by crossing some of the wires in this wall if i wanted-" and he is cut off by everyone leaping into attack mode because

THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A THREAT ON ALL OF THESE *AIR BREATHERS'* LIVES.

It's worrying to everyone how none of these experienced heroes seem to be capable of landing a hit on Phantom. The send the base into extreme lock-down mode, so that nothing can get in or out. Well that's the idea anyway. Phantom just sorta leaves. Through a wall. right out into space.

Worried the new rogue will be capable of doing something from the outside, they get a message out to Superman, that something (possibly alien) capable of surviving in no atmosphere broke into the Watchtower to make vague threats against the heroes, though no one was injured. Superman heads up right away to see if he can lay eyes on the surprise enemy.

To everyone's shock, although Superman immediately engaged the villain, he hasn't been able to do much, if any damage to him. Phantom seems to be having fun seeing Superman in action, up close. He's barely bothering to explain himself in between quips.

Clark starts to see this for what it is. "Are you... A child???" He reckons.

"Uh, sorta? I mean I was when I died!" Danny jokes.

That's concerning. "You seem pretty keen on fighting with me, but it seems like you aren't even trying to go on the offensive. Why is that?" Superman starts to give him some space.

"Well, I'm not used to pulling my punches. With my usual cast of rogues, I don't have to worry about accidentally killing any of them!" Danny is not sure if any of his abilities can harm a kryptonian, but he doesn't wanna risk it!

I suspect that vested interests are keeping things this way and that it is their money holding sway. Billionaires have been rorting the system for some time now to the detriment of you and me. Buying up our politicians and their parties for their own selfish interests. We could fix this by banning all political donations and state funding elections as an alternative. That would be too obvious a solution, it seems. Instead, we get what we currently have - a warped and distorted system serving the interests of specialty groups and their deep pockets. Ordinary folk have lost their representation within the democratic system. Old men are paraded across stages and our screens reading teleprompters of speeches crafted by strategists to appeal to the base. This is the democracy now under threat from right wing extremists and Trump fascists. I wish it was a better choice but this is what is on offer. The only way that scene can be analyzed is AFTER ep8.

You can't really just pick these scenes then draw a whole picture because some things couldn't be revealed in ep5 and therefore were not part of that discussion between Wanda and Hayward. It's only after we have seen episode 8 and what really happened in the Sword facility that we can understand the whole story.

She throws the drone over to Hayward and when he tells her she's keeping the town hostage, her first reply is: "I'm not the one with the guns, Director". This is a callback to their meeting at Sword HQ when Hayward calls Vision "the most sophisticated weapon ever made".

Then, her line "I have what I want and no one will take it from me again" is another callback to what Sword was doing to Vision's corpse, something that by the way the same Hayward says was their "legal and ethical obligation" to do.

So, those lines are more judgment calls on Hayward, Sword and the Sokovia Accords than anything else.

As to whether or not Wanda was fully aware of what she was doing, I think the show is quite clear in that deep inside she knew what had happened but she had no idea how she had done it because it wasn't a conscious decision on her part to build the Hex. It just happened... and since she had everything she wanted she chose to lie to herself in order to keep it. That's an important distinction imo:

It is one thing to create something willingly while being perfectly aware of what you're doing vs having all your wants and desires materialize in front of you and your fear of losing them being so strong that you choose to do anything to keep them.

And Hayward had just sent an ARMED drone to Wanda's house when she was out with her kids.

Also, one more thing. When Hayward is interrogating Monica in ep5 she says the first thing she felt was pain then a huge amount of grief. She described that feeling like something "keeping her down, like drowning". In ep8, that's how Wanda explains her own grief to Vision:

"It's like this wave washing over me again and again. It knocks me down and when I try to stand up it just comes for me again. It's just gonna drown me"

If the Westview residents were feeling Wanda's grief, that means what Monica described, what they all described... Wanda was feeling it too, especially when she visited the land Vision had bought for them. At the time she built the Hex, she was drowning. And seeing Vision for the first time gave her that much-needed breath of fresh air. Can we really blame her for lying to herself and trying to keep it?

The first time Lev saw (y/n) his heart was doki doki, literally the most beautiful girl he has ever seen in his life.

At first he thought (y/n) was the manager of the team since she was always at the gym, and helped the team with whatever they need, so he decided asking Yaku about her, “(y/n)-Chan? no, she’s Kuroo’s younger sister, she’s pretty ha? Did you like her?” He didn’t answer with words but the blush of his cheeks already answer for him.

He also notice how close (y/n) was with Kenma, he even thought he was her boyfriend, again he asked Yaku about it “no Lev, they are childhood friends, probably Kenma just see her as a sister, just talk to her coward!”

So he decided he was going to talk with her, but it was a fail “there hello is name Lev” he was so nervous that forgot how to properly talk, she looked at the boy with a confused glare, but finally she giggle and said “pleasure to meet you Lev, I’m Kuroo (y/n)”

Since they’re both first years, Lev walked (y/n) to her classroom, or if they were classmates he spent every free period with her, or trying to be paired for every class activities.

He also wait for her when class ended to walk together to the gym.

Despite that Lev was still really nervous about talking with (y/n), he still stuttered a lot, he was nervous because he wanted to mess up this new friendship or make his crush uncomfortable.

He was blushing mess every time he tried to talk to her, Yaku only laughs looking at the tallest boy of the team being a mess with girls, Kenma looked at Lev with a disgusted expression and Tetsurō just was expecting.

Of course he noticed Lev has a crush on his younger sister, Lev was so evident, he followed (y/n) as a lost puppy, and was always trying to help her in whatever she needed, but the funniest thing was looking at Lev stuttering and forgetting how to talk.

He wasn’t mad, as (y/n)’s older brother his duty was to protect her, Lev was a good boy, so If he tries something with his sister he wouldn’t object, but now, he wanted to know what his little sister thought about Lev.

One day going back home (y/n) was sitting on the train between her brother and Kenma, so Tetsurō decided to ask her “(y/n) what do you think about Lev?”

“Oh Lev, he’s really nice! Sometimes he talks funny but I like to hear him speak about his day or volleyball, and he’s a great listener too!, and he’s always helping me with things that I need to do...he’s good looking, oh and one day he gave me some cookies, they tasted delicious!”

“And you like him?”

“In a romantic way?, mmm I think so, yes!”

“I disapprove that” Kenma murmured.

The siblings laugh at Kenma’s words.

Next day, they announced the training camp, Kuroo called Lev to talk to him “you know Lev, (y/n) is going to the training camp too, maybe you should make your move”

Lev felt his cheeks heated and nervously asked “you knew it?!”

I watched Land vs. Air last night and I just had to redraw this scene! Akaashi is extremely pretty so i hope i did him well!! Also... looking back at my first art post here.. my style has definitely changed...
