#how to make a poncho

This idea has been stuck in my mind for months, and I'm do glad to have finally made it

This is the most experimental I've ever been with my art. I'm really proud

This was inspired by @beluvbug 's amazing Princess of Gender Dysphoria AU, and all the amazing AUs that came from it. Check them all out!!

Expect a lot more experimental pixel brush art full of symbolism for this jester, because I'm obsessed with him and projected on him to hell and back

Canon be damned I'm making a backstory AU for the bishops and it's been living in my head rent free. Couple of sketches while I'm finishing my pfp drawing (that's also part of the AU)

I think that in canon the sibling dynamic is more of a 'brothers in arms' thing... but I just find it really interesting to think about what circumstances could have led the bishops to become as reprehensible as they do, outside of power corrupting them over the course of millennia (found family that genuinely care for one another but inadvertently feed into each others' insecurities in an unhealthy way. The power aspect doesn't help)

The other reason I wanted to make this AU thought it would be interesting to have all the bishops meet under different circumstances. Leshy and Heket are travelling alone for years before they meet Shamura and Narinder in this AU, and Kallamar is the last to join the group. All of these feed into the dynamics between them.

Don't want to say too much because I want to explore most of this in comic form and any more would probably lean too far into spoiler territory but... yeah. Heads up, focus will be mostly on Heket and Leshy for the foreseeable future because I've focused on building up their backstory the most so far. They're also the only characters I've figured out designs for LOL

(Quick note: the drawings are of their designs when they're both 13, but they have a roughly 5 year gap between them so the two designs are for different points in the story)

It's 12 or 11 some minutes past midnight and my brain is absolutely mush from studying for this stupid licensing exam.

It makes me wish that the rest of the collectable ponchos in game also had hoods. Or that one of Cal's idle animations could have been flipping his hood on or off. Or like .. literally anything with the hood, idk.

I just think he looks fucking adorable, okay?

Update: Okay, so have more poncho hood Cal Kestis (cause I still can't get enough of it-I have a problem, okay?)

Day nine, rest day in La Charité sur Loire

What an excellent day. Writing postcards, writing diary, writing to the Boy, reading a French children's book, visiting a 1000 year old church, eating baguette with hummus, sitting on terraces, falling asleep on an air mattress, waking up drooling all over it.

I decided on the return date, which is in a week and a half, making this first solo vacation thing an almost three week endeavor. To think how nervous I was about it, and how I now feel like I should stay on the Camino for the rest of the summer, I'd say it's a pretty damn success already.

Due to the nature of his work, Copperhead isn't active every night. He may spend a week hunting somebody down before delivering the coup de grâce, leaving him with a little free time before picking up his next contract. Copperhead often spends his free time caring for the various snakes and other reptile species that come into his care; sometimes these are animals belonging to former victims but often they are creatures which have been neglected or improperly cared for in some way, the serpent metahuman carefully nursing them back to health before making sure they end up in good hands.

I uh- kind of poured all my chaotic energy into her, and separated her from the rest of the npc cast? Otherwise the dialogue would get totally fucked, and my ‘I need to hit this story with a drama nuke’ desire would cause trouble.

So she’s uhhh off on her adventure of a different genre. (But stuff she does Will affect things... dun dun dunnnn) but dude Wow she would be so irritated by Jun. Good thing we’re going to Sanctuary to leave them and take Preston.... OR THAT IS WHAT I WOULD SAY if she didn’t want to be anywhere near the vault!! We’re going somewhere else, babeyyyyy! Maybe talking with him and Murphy would bring some understanding (is what I would say if I were doing big character development in the beginning but we’re not!!) Shoving my desire for conflict into this.
