Why the GOP Is Winning Over Minorities
The Democrats have nothing to offer but grievance, victimhood and welfare.
Josh Williams -- Wall Street Journal
On Election Day, Donald Trump revealed the new coalition underpinning the modern Republican Party. As a proud black elected Republican, I believe today’s GOP represents people like me better than the Democrats ever have.
My early life could be considered an “authentic” experience as a black man in America. I was once a homeless high-school dropout. As a young adult, I endured a devastating workplace accident that left me disabled. At 30, I pulled myself up and enrolled in college, determined to rewrite my story. Within the next seven years I became a practicing attorney and, in 2022, the first black Republican elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 50 years.
I understand the needs and concerns of my community, because for many years I lived them. All the Democratic Party ever offered me was grievance, victimhood and welfare. What any American—black or otherwise—wants is the opportunity to work hard and achieve his dreams. The Republican agenda champions economic prosperity, energy independence, border security and community safety. Opportunity lives within the modern GOP, and last Tuesday people of color agreed in record numbers.
To understand why the Democratic Party has failed, just look at how its agenda has affected my hometown of Toledo. Toledoans are very proud of our Jeep plant, the backbone of our local economy. Unfortunately, it has been crippled by big government. New regulations and mandates have led to assembly-line shutdowns and thousands of layoffs. Decades of unfair trade practices and an oppressive tax code leave Toledo and cities like it in decline.
For our gritty town, the Jeep plant has been a leg up for generations. This work has been passed down from fathers and mothers to sons and daughters for longer than I’ve been alive. Without it, many people who grew up like me are simply left with one less option to succeed.
When I walk into the barber shop, people are talking about Jeep jobs, inflation and crime, not identity politics. They ask questions about border security and the cost of living, not culture wars. The average American who looks like me simply isn’t concerned with the fake issues being peddled by the Democratic Party and the elites who set its agenda.
My message to Washington after the election is simple: Stop pandering to us. Treat us like adults. Treat us like Americans.
Whether you love Mr. Trump or loathe him, you can’t accuse him of inauthenticity. Minority communities not only can handle that approach—we appreciate it, and we will vote for it.
Mr. Trump’s Republican Party is where I belong. It’s where my friends, neighbors and pastors belong. The voters have spoken loud and clear that his GOP is the party of the people. All of us.
Mr. Williams represents the 44th Ohio House District, which includes much of the Toledo area.

hi any advice for a person who's trying to become a professional artist? everywhere I look in any art adjacent industry people are losing their jobs left and right, being underpaid or are freelancing while working a side job,I swear the only ppl doing well are the ai art bitches…I feel like I'm aboard a sinking ship 🥲🫠
I applied to multiple postings yesterday and honestly I don't know anymore 🫠
The illustrator + 2D generalist + concept artist hiring pools are pretty full right now with all the layoffs
Without connections or an insane online following idk how students and entry-level folks are supposed to make it anymore
Recommendations through positive word-of-mouth from my previous clients has been keeping me afloat so far + commissions + patreon, and I'm blessed with a super supportive parent; if I didn't have those things — and if I was able or willing to do a 9-to-5 office job— I would not be in a position to handle this
And honestly AI is a huge issue, don't get me wrong, but it plays a small part of why these creative industries are collapsing.
It's the unforgiving hours, the low pay, the burnout, the layoffs disrupting entire chains of communication, sudden project cancellations due to trend-chasing and investor expectations and internal politics, the looming uncertainty of the future. The unsustainable profit-first infrastructure is just finally buckling I fear.
Possible workaround: pop off as a fan artist and build a following large enough to subsist on subscriptions. Make a new draw-with-me tiktok every other day and/or stream for five to eight hours a day three times a week. I am in no way joking about this. It's a lot of work to get there but at least it yields consistent results. 🧍🏾♀️
#pivoting to furry art isnt enough you need to physically become a cat girl in mind body and spirit this economy#maybe id do better as a goat girl...but deer are cute too...I will leave the floor open to the community to diagnose my fursona#good luck to both of us good luck to everyone#replies

roommates // chapter 1
synopsis: living with your childhood friends can't be that bad, right?
various! jjk x reader
˙✧˖°📷 ༘ ⋆。˚
next
The chaos began six months ago, but in a way, it had been brewing for longer than that. Life had a funny way of throwing curveballs, and your most recent one hit harder than usual.
It all started when the company you'd been working at for the past few years—your first “real” adult job—suddenly went bankrupt. There had been warning signs, of course. Layoffs here and there, hushed conversations in the break room, an ever-increasing workload as the higher-ups scrambled to keep things afloat. But no one expected the announcement to come so suddenly.
One minute, you were mindlessly typing up reports in your tiny cubicle; the next, you were sitting in a mandatory company-wide meeting, staring blankly at the CEO as he delivered the bad news with all the enthusiasm of a man who had clearly checked out months ago.
"We regret to inform you," he had said, voice monotone, "that due to unforeseen financial difficulties, the company will be ceasing all operations immediately."
Immediately? You barely had time to process what was happening before your coworkers started packing up their desks in stunned silence. The moment you walked out of that office for the last time, you were no longer gainfully employed—and without severance, to make things worse.
The first few weeks after the bankruptcy were a blur. Your savings were quickly drying up, and the job market was ruthless. Nothing seemed to stick—no matter how many applications you sent out, you couldn't catch a break. Then, as if things weren’t bad enough, your landlord gave you notice that the building was being renovated, forcing you to move out immediately. Now you were jobless and about to be homeless.
You sighed as you pushed open the door to the convenience store where you now worked. A far cry from your corporate job, but at least it paid the bills… well, some of them. You’d been lucky to snag the position, honestly—Mai, your coworker, had been the one to suggest applying. They’d been desperate for staff, and you were desperate for anything.
Still, going from a cushy office job to stocking shelves, manning the register, and dealing with cranky customers at all hours of the day (and sometimes night) was jarring. You hadn’t exactly dreamed of a career in convenience retail, but after the whirlwind of the last few months, stability, however temporary, was a blessing.
"Hey, Y/N," Mai called from behind the counter, flashing you a grin as you entered. "Rough day already?"
"Is it that obvious?" you groaned, dropping your bag behind the register and grabbing your apron.
Mai smirked. "You've got that ‘I’ve had it with everything’ vibe. It's probably the living situation, huh?"
"You have no idea," you muttered, tying your apron and preparing yourself for the usual rush of customers.
“I went from a sleek office chair to a creaky stool behind the register. I think I need a degree in psychology to handle the late-night customers.”
Mai chuckled, nodding. “Welcome to retail! You learn to read people fast. Just last week, I had a guy try to haggle for a pack of gum like we were at a flea market.”
You laughed, shaking your head as you imagined the scene. “At least it’s not boring, right?”
“True, true! You’ll have some wild stories to tell.” Mai leaned on the counter, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Speaking of stories, have you heard about the guy who keeps coming in and trying to buy the entire stock of energy drinks? I swear, it’s like he thinks he’s prepping for a marathon.”
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “No way! Does he actually drink them all?”
“Who knows? But it’s hilarious watching him get all defensive when I tell him we have a limit per customer.” Mai rolled her eyes playfully. “Just the other night, he tried to convince me that he needed them for a ‘very important project.’”
“Right, because that’s a totally valid reason,” you replied with a laugh as the first wave of customers trickled in.
As you settled into a rhythm of ringing up snacks and drinks, your mind wandered to thoughts of reconnecting with your childhood friends. You hadn’t seen them in ages, and the idea of a reunion felt like a much-needed breath of fresh air. Just as you were about to ring up a customer, your phone buzzed on the counter, drawing your attention. You quickly glanced at the screen and saw a message from Geto in your childhood friend group chat.
Geto: “Anyone in Tokyo these days? I’m moving there next month.”
You stared at the message for a moment. You hadn’t known he was moving. Coincidentally, you had been planning to relocate for job opportunities, and a strange feeling crept up on you. One by one, the others replied.
Nanami: “Same here. I didn’t know you were moving, Geto.”
Toji: “In town for work. We should catch up.”
Your stomach twisted in a mixture of excitement and dread. You hadn’t seen them in months—everyone had grown distant since childhood, and while you occasionally exchanged pleasantries on birthdays or holidays, life had taken you all in different directions. When you replied, you kept it casual, not wanting to reveal just how much your life had unraveled recently.
You: “I’m also in Tokyo! Let’s meet up sometime!”
It didn’t take long for Gojo to suggest drinks. Of course he did.
The bar Gojo picked was, predictably, obnoxious. It was one of those trendy places with dim lighting and overpriced cocktails. You hadn’t been sure what to expect when you stepped inside, but the moment you spotted the familiar faces, a wave of nostalgia hit you hard.
You spotted Gojo first, waving wildly from across the room. His grin was as wide and infectious as ever, his bright white hair standing out in the dim lighting. He was wearing his usual oversized black sweater, sleeves pushed up to reveal his lean, toned arms, and his sunglasses perched atop his head as if he were making some grand fashion statement.
“Y/N!” he called, motioning you over to the booth where the others were already gathered.
You took a deep breath and approached, a mixture of excitement and apprehension swirling in your chest. Geto greeted you with his usual calm, easygoing smile, his long dark hair tied back in a loose bun, a few strands framing his face. He wore a simple, well-fitted black shirt that showed off the broadness of his shoulders and the subtle tattoos that peeked out from beneath the sleeves.
Nanami gave you a nod of acknowledgment. His blonde hair was neatly slicked back, and he wore a tailored gray suit, though the jacket was discarded to reveal his dress shirt rolled up at the sleeves. Despite the setting, he looked as though he could walk into a boardroom at any moment, his sharp features giving off an air of quiet authority.
Toji, leaning casually against the booth with his muscular arms crossed, offered a smirk that hadn’t changed in all the years you’d known him. His dark hair was tousled in that effortlessly cool way, and he was dressed in a simple black shirt that clung to his well-defined chest and arms. There was something rugged about him, a sharpness in his jawline and the way his emerald-green eyes appraised you that made it clear he was still the same cocky troublemaker you remembered.
“It’s been a while, huh?” Geto said, giving you a friendly hug as you sat down.
“Too long,” you said, hugging him briefly before taking a seat between him and Nanami. Toji was on the opposite end of the table, casually sipping a drink as he observed the group with that smirk you remembered all too well.
Nanami, ever the stoic, gave you a polite nod. “How’s everything?”
You forced a smile, not wanting to dive into the whole ‘I just lost my job and am probably going to be homeless soon’ conversation. “It’s… been better. But it’s good to see you all.”
Gojo slid a drink across the table toward you with a grin. “You look like you need this more than anyone.”
“Thanks,” you muttered, taking a sip of what you immediately recognized as something far too strong for the start of the night. Gojo always had a knack for picking the worst possible drink choices.
The first hour passed in a whirlwind of reminiscing. You laughed about old childhood memories—the ridiculous pranks Gojo used to pull, the time Geto convinced you all to sneak out to watch a horror movie, and Nanami’s early obsession with studying that kept him from joining in on most of the chaos. Toji, of course, had been the rebellious one, always dragging you into some kind of mischief.
“Remember when Y/N got stuck in that tree because she tried to follow Toji up there?” Gojo laughed, eyes glinting with mischief.
You groaned. “I was six.”
“And you were so mad at Toji for leaving you up there!” Geto added, chuckling.
Toji raised an eyebrow, a smug grin creeping onto his face. “You weren’t ready for the climb.”
“You could have helped me down!” you shot back, rolling your eyes.
Nanami shook his head. “I was the one who had to call for help. No one else seemed concerned that she was stuck up there for an hour.”
“That’s because you were the responsible one,” you teased, nudging his shoulder.
Gojo leaned in, his grin widening. “Anyway, what’s everyone up to these days? I know Nanami’s still a corporate slave, but what about the rest of you?”
Geto was the first to speak. “I’m starting a nonprofit. Trying to get things off the ground.”
That sounded about right for him—always the one to care about bigger causes. You nodded approvingly. “That’s awesome, Geto.”
Toji shrugged, leaning back in his chair. “I’m doing freelance work. You know, keeping busy.”
Gojo snorted. “Freelance work? You mean muscle-for-hire.”
“Something like that,” Toji replied with a smirk.
The conversation moved around the table, each of them sharing what they’d been up to in the years since you’d drifted apart. It felt strangely natural, like no time had passed, and yet, so much had changed.
Eventually, the spotlight turned to you.
“What about you, Y/N?” Geto asked, his gaze soft but curious. “How’s life treating you?”
“I’m... getting by,” you said vaguely, swirling your drink as you avoided eye contact. “Had some changes, but nothing I can’t handle.”
Gojo, always a little too perceptive for his own good, leaned in with a grin. “Changes, huh? Come on, you’re hiding something. Spill.”
You sighed. “Fine. My company went under, and I’ve been stuck working at a convenience store for now.”
“That sucks,” Geto said sympathetically. “Are you okay? Do you need help finding something new?”
You appreciated their concern but shrugged it off. “I’ll manage. It’s not ideal, but I’ll figure it out.”
Toji, who had been watching you closely the whole time, spoke up. “You still looking for a place to stay?”
You blinked, surprised that he knew about your housing situation. “Uh, yeah. My landlord’s renovating, so I’ve got to move out soon.”
“Why not stay with us?” Gojo blurted out, clearly not thinking it through.
Nanami’s brow furrowed immediately. “Gojo, don’t—”
“I’m serious!” Gojo interrupted, eyes bright with enthusiasm. “We’ve got space, and it’d be just like old times, right?”
You laughed, though the idea seemed ridiculous. “Are you serious? All of us, living together again? I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
Geto chuckled softly. “It’d be chaotic, for sure, but it could be fun.”
“Or a disaster,” Nanami added dryly, giving Gojo a pointed look.
But the more you thought about it, the more the idea stuck. You needed a place, and as crazy as it sounded, the thought of living with them again—of being close to your childhood friends—was oddly comforting.
Before you could talk yourself out of it, you found yourself nodding. “Alright. But only until I get back on my feet.”
Gojo whooped in victory, raising his glass. “To our new roommate!”
And just like that, your fate was sealed. The reunion had brought you back together, and now, you were officially moving in with the four of them. What could possibly go wrong?

Celestia-sent (Al Haitham x F!Reader)
Prequel Part 1 Part 2
Summary: There's a weird guy lying outside your house.
Warnings: Vulgarities, food (stew) , mentions of injuries , crying, reader mistakes al haitham as a old guy lmao, reader lives in vimara village, spoliers for al haitham's lore,
Word count: <1.7k words
Inspired by: -
Author's note: it was kinda therapeutic to write al haitham's part- the first half. not sure why. it just felt so easy. i miss my grandma. i should visit her once i feel better.
Please give criticism! Also, if i missed any warnings, do tell me so i can add them!
He's just lying there, faced down. His grey hair sticks out painfully against the brown dirt path, and you fight the urge to squat down to take a closer look. It's a shade of grey you have never seen before. It kinda looks like the moon.
Another old drunkard, you think. There's been many of them recently in Vimara village. Ever since the scandal in the Akademiya three months ago, Port Ormos had crashed. The whole port is a mess- what once was Sumeru's most efficient had become disorganised and stagnant overnight. Now, it's akin to a ghost town- especially after the mass layoff of port employees.
Trading has halted completely, the Wikala Funduq citing 'awaiting instructions from Akademiya higher ups'. But so far, no one from the Akademiya has come down to remedy the situation and help revitalise Port Ormos.
As a result, private traders can't do business, and trading companies can't do business, so no one is making money anymore. Traders from Inazuma and Snezhnaya had stopped docking in Sumeru. In a couple more months, Port Ormos would lose its position as the central trading hub of Teyvat. Sumeru will lose a terrifying portion of its national income. It will only get worse from there.
Vimara village was outraged at the mass layoff. Most port employees lived there, after all. In an instant, families lost all sources of income. The village community had tried to help each other, sharing food and whatever they could with each other. But this was only a temporary solution. The stress of unemployment is beginning to weigh heavy on many, which is why many have taken to drinking recently.
Which is why you aren't surprised that a guy's passed out on the ground. What was surprising is that you had never seen this dude before.
He's wearing expensive clothes, you note. He's definitely not from the village. Clad in green, he'd almost look like a plant if not for his grey hair. There's a cape hanging off his back, and on a shoulder is what you think is a vision.
Damn, you wonder. What kind of guy is this?
Curiosity gets the better of you. Squatting down next to the old guy's side, you lay your groceries down. Strangely, you don't smell any alcohol on him. So, not a drunkard?
"Hey, uh… sir?" you shake his shoulder, brushing your fingers over his vision. It's cool to the touch, the green orb emitting a gentle glow amidst the fading daylight. "Wakey wakey, mister?"
The man doesn't wake. You sigh. What are you going to do? It's almost nighttime. You can't just leave him here. I mean, you could, but still…
There's a pleasant aroma in the air, accompanied by the sound of sizzling oil. Onions, Harra spice… stir-fried with snapdragon leaves?
It reminds Al Haitham of his grandmother's cooking. Maybe she's making dinner now. He's pretty hungry.
Huh. Now that he thinks of it, it has been a long time since he's had dinner with her. When was the last time he even spoke to her? Or visited her?
He has so much to tell her.
He has to tell her about his job as a Scribe. Well, for now, he's the ACTING Grand Sage. Not for long, though. He'll make sure of that.
He's got to tell her about the stunt he pulled to save Lesser Lord Kusanali. She'd enjoy that tale. Probably scold him for being so reckless as well, though.
Yeah, he'll do that. Maybe he'll ask for a second serving of rice too. He's really, really hungry.
Then, he'll ask for advice on how to handle the whole shitshow that he has been assigned to run. She'll know what to do. She always does. She'll teach him how to manage the infinite number of impossible tasks thrown his way.
She'll comfort him. She'll tell him that in no time, he'll be back to his usual job: stress-free and not responsible for saving the nation from a crisis that may result in future generations growing up in poverty and political instability.
She'll hear him out as he rants about the mess Azar and those fuckers ("Language, Al Haitham!") had left him. And how everyone was so reliant on the Akasha terminals and the sages' leadership that when all that disappeared, they were clueless. They can't function anymore. Systems fall apart. People stop working. And because of that, he has to do everything on his own, and he's so tired and-
The sizzling sound has stopped. Is it dinner time already?
But he doesn't want to get up. Not now. Just ten more minutes, please?
There's a faint scraping sound. A spatula against a wok. If he tries hard enough, he can hear a plopping sound. So, it's a stew. He hopes it's Sabz Meat stew. That's his favourite.
How long has it been since he had a homemade meal?
Footsteps. Ok, no ten minutes, then. He'll get up.
Wincing, he sits up. His whole body aches. His knees feel sore. That's weird. He hadn't fallen or hit anything, but he feels bruises forming all over his arms and legs.
Trying to adjust to the bright light, Al Haitham slowly opens his eyes. He's in a small living room. Huh, he doesn't remember his grandmother moving. She never had this couch he was resting on either. Or the wooden coffee table in front. Or that many Liyue magazines.
"Ah, you're awake!"
That's not his grandmother's voice. Wait, what did her voice sound like again?
Al Haitham whips his head towards the voice so fast he pulls a neck muscle. Groaning, he reaches for his neck, massaging it before attempting to turn around, slowly this time.
"Hey, relax!"
There's a soft click from behind, and then frantic footsteps. Someone runs around the couch.
It's a woman. Not his grandmother.
Oh.
Oh yeah. Of course, it isn't her.
"Are you feeling alright?"
Hah, what was he doing, dreaming? Someone like him? Dreaming?
"Uh…sir?"
Of course, it isn't her. The dead can't come back to life. He's alone now. He has been for the past decade.
"…sir?"
He'll always be alone. Now, and for the foreseeable future. If he can even ensure that Sumeru still has one.
There's a hot sensation on his face, snapping him out of his thoughts. It's the woman again. This time with a bowl in her hand, holding it right in front of him.
He'd recognise that aroma anywhere. It's Sabz Meat stew.
"Um, I'm not sure what's going on," she says, placing the bowl into his hands. "But why don't you eat first?"
She pulls the coffee table closer towards him and walks back behind the couch to retrieve cutlery from the kitchen and a plate of rice. Laying them on the coffee table, she then sits on the floor, watching him.
"I didn't add lemons, but I can get you some if you want?" she asks when he doesn't move.
A minute passes. Al Haitham can't move. He can't, and he honestly doesn't want to.
What's the point of moving? Everything moves too fast. He'll never catch up. There's too much. There will always be proposals he can't clear in time. A question he can't answers right now. A policy he needs time to understand. Time that he doesn't have. Time that Sumeru can't afford to lose. He'll always be behind. And because of that, Sumeru will fall behind. Because of him.
It's almost funny. Before all this, he had never worried about being behind. He barely worried about anything.
"Come on," she prompts, taking a spoonful of rice and handing it to him when he still doesn't move. "Eat. You'll feel better after you eat."
Al Haitham doesn't have the energy to resist or deny her. Taking the spoon, he dips it into the bowl, letting the rice soak up some of the stew before lifting it to his mouth.
And suddenly, he's 19 again. He's in the dining room, having dinner with his grandmother again. She's lecturing him about spending too much time alone at home. Again.
"You may not understand now, Al Haitham. But there are people out there- good people. People willing to listen, be patient with you, and shoulder burdens with you. Comfort you."
Al Haitham reaches over to scoop another spoonful of rice. His eyes feel funny. So does his nose.
"You are never alone, child. I just want you to know that. "
Am I really?
Then just send one person, please. I'm waiting.
I've been waiting for a long time now.
"And one day, you may find someone that you can bare your soul to-you do have a soul, child. Everyone has one- no, yours isn't as dark as that 'black coffee'."
His vision is blurry now. With hydro. How strange. He chomps down another spoonful of stew. It's delicious. He hasn't had comfort food like this in a long, long time.
Just one sign. Please. I can't do this anymore.
"But until then, grandma is here to stick by you, hm? Until you stop being stubborn and go make friends!"
The woman shifts in her seat on the floor. In his peripheral, he sees her reach over to a box, pulling out tissues.
She moves closer to him, a little bit hesitantly. But when she realises that he isn't moving away, she gently dabs his eyes with the tissue.
"There, there?" she comforts awkwardly. She then reaches over to pat his back. "It's gonna be ok. Just let it out."
And that's all it takes. It's so weird. Hydro Tears begin to flow freely. He chokes back a sniffle.
She doesn't stop patting his back. The weight of her palm is comforting- almost grounding.
He cries. In the presence of an absolute stranger, he cries ten years worth of tears in a night.
Later on, as he drifts off back into the realm of sleep to the rhythmic pats on his back, Al Haitham wonders if this is what his grandmother meant.
Maybe there really are people that are willing to stand by someone like him.

Paris and the World under The Supreme’s Rule Headcannons
Back during WW2, when Marianne suggested to Wang Fu they should use the Miraculous, she of course meant using them to fight. Wang Fu decided to use them to make a wish;
World Peace.
The price?
World freedom.
So there are SOME good things… No war in Vietnam, no war in Isreal, and good news Americans; 9/11 never happened and school shootings do not exist because it is impossible for anyone to get a gun, not even hunters!
On the downside, no guns for hunting means wildlife conservation is a thing of the past. Animal overpopulation in addition to human deforestation has led to a significant decrease in food sources for wildlife, many of which have gone extinct due to starvation. Another plus side is there are no “slap on the wrist” punishments for criminals who assault women and children. Death penalty is a very effective way to prevent recurring crimes.
Prisons are also no longer a multi-million dollar drain on tax-paying citizens; no free room and board for criminals. They all have to work in labor camps to earn every morsel of food and live in 15 square foot cells.
(Marinette’s Grandmother is currently serving time in a labor camp)
There aren’t really much in the way of trials either… You are arrested for a crime, presented with the facts/evidence, then sentenced.
There are no homeless wandering streets, begging for hand-outs. There are special labor camps for the impoverished where they are assigned tasks that meet their physical and mental abilities, snd are paid enough to afford them cheap living quarters, approximately 130 square feet in size, and the most basic of food stuffs and hygiene products to keep them alive. No, they cannot refuse.
Remember, the Supreme knows best.
Project Oxygen is a go- several small parks have been “re-habilitated” into giant filters and fresh air is beginning to be sold in fancy plastic bottles thanks to Bertrand King. He’s been trying for a while to convince Gabriel that Adrien should do commercials for Project Oxygen, as it would be great for the boy’s career…. But Gabriel always comes up with an excuse to get out of it. The latest being that it wouldn’t match with Adrien’s new look.
Audrey Bourgeois ADORES Adrien’s new look! It’s so much more bold and edgy! Also, the latest fashion trend is not glitter, it’s metal studs- industry and progress in a sleek, metallic form.
Audrey is home more often than Andre, who could be gone for months at a time working on one of his movies. But of course he still handles important paperwork and does video calls to check on hotel and sends lots of very expensive gifts to his little Princess.
Chloe is even more abusive and demanding of Sabrina, and poor Sabrina puts up with it for her father’s sake-
There has been a lot of vandalism lately (thanks to Shadybug and ClawNoir) and talk that Enforcers just aren’t as effective at keeping the order as they used to be. Word is that tech Giant Tsurugi is in the process of designing new automatons that will be more efficient (and less costly) than human Enforcers. Who knows? There may even be a surge of Enforcer lay-offs if the project becomes successful. Chloe has hinted that she MIGHT be willing to put in a good word with Daddy, should Mr. Raincomprix be one of the many Enforcers who finds himself out of a job. The Hotel could always use more security guards/bouncers. But since Daddy ONLY hires the most DEDICATED employees… Well, how can Chloe possibly make a recommendation if she’s not sure Sabrina’s dad would REALLY give it his all? So Sabrina bends over backwards until she breaks and then some to keep Chloe happy.
Officer Raincomprix is also uneasy about talks of future layoffs, and as such, has become harsh in Enforcing law and order. No little wrong doing goes unnoticed or forgiven. No leniency. (Think Roger-cop without the Akuma).
Rose is not that perky. Under the Supreme, there is no socialist nonsense like Universal Healthcare, so medicines, doctor visits, prescriptions, hospitals… it’s all crazy expensive just like in the USA. This means, in order for Rose to be able to attend a private school like Francois Dupont; her parents work a LOT of overtime and pinch pennies whenever they can. So it’s very lonely at home and in this universe, Rose has not (yet) met Juleka (as stated in previous headcannon). Instead of Unicorns, Rose’s favorite animal is the Caladrius, (a mythological bird that can heal any illness). Though unicorns and kittens are still in her top five favs.
Rose doesn’t see the word through rose-colored glasses. She can’t see the silver-lining in ever raincloud… Instead, she tries to make it herself; if there is no positive, she will just have to invent one! It’s more work, and exhausting, but she HAS to, otherwise she’d drown in depression. Rose’s illness is kept a secret, not because she fears people will treat her with pity, but that she fears people will look down on her; like she’s a burden on her parents, like it’s annoying to have to put up with her weakness.
(I’ve actually been sick myself, since xmas day in fact- perhaps as punishment from the universe for making ClawNoir cataclysm Santa Claus)
Penny is Bob Roth’s personal servant- er, I mean, assistant… which means she’s also gopher for XY. (There is no woman in Paris more miserable than Penny).
Jean-Pierre Monlataing is still an Art teacher at Francois Dupont… and he teaches traditional art styles. Helping students practice time-honored techniques through repetition and standardization. Graffiti is not art, so no spray-paint cans in his classroom! Alix Kubdel is his most troubled student. Marinette does not attend art club. Nathaniel shows great talent for portraits.
Jalil strives to be better than his father; he admire Nathalie Sancoeur and hopes to rise to her position of Director of the Louvre someday.
Directors of Museums are prestigious positions you have to work hard your whole life to even be considered for, as The Supreme appoints them. As far as the public knows, this is for the sake of preserving history as well as ensuring that dangerous ideas from the past do not repeat themselves and inspire anarchy in young, impressionable minds.
The reality is that they are searching for clues to missing Miraculous.
The Supreme has already taken steps to ensure the Prodigious will never pose a threat to his power (Temple and access to cave have been destroyed and the bracelet has been confiscated and placed in a secure location).
But there are still most likely Miraculous scattered across the earth. Gems that, if fallen into the “wrong hands” could disrupt the peace and order that the Supreme has worked hard to maintain.
Marianne intends to find these Miraculous first… if only she had the help of someone younger and more physically up to the challenge.
When Gabriel/Betterfly/Hesperia forms “The Resistance” and Marianne is introduced to their ranks, this is exactly the plan she suggests in order to take down The Supreme and give power back to all the people.
She only has a few clues on where to start searching though.
…Fun fact, if you were to unify the Ladybug miraculous of creation with the Eagle miraculous of freedom, you would get Ladybird- determined to create a new, free world.

Final Shape thoughts
TL:DR it's very good. I'm glad Bungie cooked so good on it, but I'm still sad/frustrated/concerned about the future development of the game
Campaign 10/10, no negative notes. Absolutely fantastic writing and performances. Liked the structure of having the final mission happen after the raid. I hope we get to replay Excision it was a lot of fun. SCUR-V appearance gave me the giggles and the shouts.
Prismatic is really cool, I like having a different way to do my liar's handshake build.
The new enemy faction is super cool, but it felt like they got less aggressive with their abilities as the campaign progressed?
The Pale Heart is a fucking AMAZING destination, what an excellent way to frame the final leg of this journey. I took tons of screenshots looking back at the portal. Climbing up the weird Witness tree hieroglyph in Iconoclast was one of my fave bits of traversal.
The only thing I genuinely wish was different is: in Wild Card, I wish the dark ether'd War Beast was like, 10 times as big. I wanted to get attacked by a comically large beaste.
Satisfaction at a good ending for the story is on one hand, and fomo burnout is on the other. I want to have more adventures in this game. I want to not have to worry about chasing red borders anymore. I want to never look at a season pass or seasonal challenge checklist ever again. Pathfinder is just gonna make me more aware of how much Im not doing rituals each week.
I kinda feel like daniel craig who's just wrapped filming a Bond movie is immediately asked "aren't you excited to make another one :) "
And then there's the like, looming possibility that the studio is gonna bend backwards to make Destiny 3?? And no idea whats gonna happen after the three episodes. I hope those two questions are addressed on monday's livestream. I can't stop thinking about the layoffs, and how for years it sounded like they were committed to not overpromising, not crunching, building up a sustainable cadence of content. And then, seemingly because youtubers couldn't handle a story that wasn't spoonfed to them, Lightfall got so much bad press it got buried despite being an excellent expansion, and the seasonal content was also excellent, but so much bad press means 10% of the team has to get fired??? Including people who have nothing but huge Ws under their belt like the head composer or the lawyer who protects the community managers from harassment???? LITERALLY DECIMATED. Yeah of course I dont have the full picture, there's so much context and details I don't know. It's parasocial. But I don't feel as certain anymore that I get to support devs who are happy with their employers. I know they still love the game they make. I dunno. I dunno. Give everyone a year's paid vacation! Give everyone a raise! Give them all tenure! Stop fuckkng firing game devs!!! Please!!
The Final Shape, very good, good job destiny dev team, 9/10.

Hi bitches! I work in tech and my company just laid off a lot of people. Luckily my partner and I were not affected, but I am devastated seeing friends and coworkers lose their jobs. I was already feeling burnt out but I can't rationalize taking time off when I'm terrified more layoffs are coming. I feel a lot of survivors guilt too - like it should have been me instead of my smarter coworkers. I've only been in the workforce for a few years and I have no idea how people can keep going on right now.
Do you have any advice on how to handle layoffs? And how to prepare if another round comes through?
Oh honey! The first thing to realize is that this is NOT your fault. You are our perfect angel baby and you have done no wrong.
I want to recommend our Burnout Workshop because frankly, it sounds like you could use it. Click that link to learn more.
Layoffs happen for lots of reasons. It's admirable that you're sad for your former coworkers--that shows your compassion muscles are working. But you're right to not give a shit about the company. You need to look out for yourself right now, NOT their bottom line nor even changing your performance so you'll be "safe" from layoffs.
Instead, take these layoffs as a sign of a sinking ship. Even if the company is doing fine now, do you really want to work for a place that axes your coworkers and leaves you in dread?
Polish your resume and start the process of looking for new work. Take your fate into your own hands and find somewhere that will treat you better.

More Pixar layoffs, because of upper Disney management blundering. 20% of their staff, though not imminent.
Apparently it's a lot of staff that were hired specifically for Disney+ projects, like DUG DAYS and the upcoming WIN OR LOSE. Pixar's scaling down again, and are probably just focusing on features and a handful of shorts. Like they always did.
The Walt Disney Company definitely went all-in on the Disney+ thing, like all these companies did. Streaming was the future be-all end-all, everything else is IRRELEVANT. Best Buy phasing out selling physical media in stores, David Zaslav erasing things, Disney initially withholding Marvel and Star Wars limited series from being shown *anywhere* else, the models for these shows clearly not working... It's like COVID-19 and the streaming blitz accelerated two entirely separate problems in movie-dom, and now we're seeing a sorry fallout of it all.
This is not dissimilar to Pixar opening a Vancouver unit in 2010, which would've handled shorts and specials, only for them to be closed down three years later and their entire staff (around 50-100 people) laid off. And it really sucks, because finding another job isn't all that easy, and being put in that position is stressful and anxiety-stoking to begin with...
It appears history kinda repeated itself in 2024, a little over four years after Disney+ launched. I liked the idea of more Pixar short-form stuff, it's a good way to revisit characters/worlds without having to do more sequels, but streaming can only go so far and it's clearly not making the revenue Disney and shareholders want. And who gets hit the hardest? The creatives, the crews, the people who actually do all the hard work, while the execs - who could probably float to another gig unscathed - fuck around at the top. There were layoffs last year, too, among them Angus MacLane, Galyn Susman, and Steve Purcell. Some real heavy-hitters there...
Of course, the less-educated will immediately see "layoffs" and whine that Pixar should go back to letting only five nerdy white dads direct movies. And that one of those dads, a toxic misogynist who rightfully got Me Too'd, should be their leader again. What kind of animation fan are you? Even if I didn't like the latest movies made at that studio, even hated them... I wouldn't want the people who have to work hard to keep a roof over their heads to get laid off, nor blame their misfortunes on how much you didn't like the teen panda movie. And wanting someone who made many women uncomfortable to be their boss again. The hell is he running another animation studio for? The hell is wrong with ya??
Anyways... I hope those who will be affected find work without struggle.

I think I lost every single person I can tell these things to so I'm reverting to my younger self and venting on tumblr:
1. I'm currently losing my job, I have no higher education so other job prospects in months/year of layoffs is just so minimal. I have no idea how ill feed myself or my cat. My chronic pains and fatigue and other health issues are detoriating
2. My mom is virtually disabled for past few months and definitely losing her job once she's back from rehabilitation/sanatorium. Her job is extremly physically demanding and she lost parts of her organs due to medical malpractice (idk when and if my mom gonna sue the hospital). So I have no idea how much later on I'll have to put myself into this. I'm already so exhausted as it is from these past months due to this shit. I hate doctors.
3. I've been in this weird peusdo whatever the fuck situationship for soon 2 years I think. She's been breaking all my boundaries and I had to sit through it all constantly in emotional pain, but last what seemed fun conversation I asked something invasive and now it's just she gets to tell me that we're gonna limit interactions n stuff like I'm so sorry but I'd rather have this highly disatisfactory and self destructive situationship than alone because I quite literally dont have anyone else and I'm unable to connect with anyone in a healthy manner so if she can handle my shit I'm happy about as far as it can go. Even if it hurts I'd rather have that than nothing.
4. I need to see my doctor again due to my heart problems. And now I think I mightve had some sort of a stroke or something two years ago. At the same time I hope I ☠️ bc of it.
5. I still have left overs of my debt for college which is suffocating me bc for past 4yrs I barely have money to eat but more properly so I have no idea how much more that debt grew in these years but it mightve doubled. And I still can't do shit about it.
6. Spent past half a year feeling quite ☠️dal and now for past almost a week that's all I can think about day in and out.
#Personal#I wrote this while thing and honeslty I have no idea if. I feel worse or better#My heart is in pain again tho 😔#Emotionally and physically#tw sui ideation#There are couple of other things but I can't write anymore bc just got a migraine

Hi Mr. ENTJ! Long time follower here :) I’m an INFJ woman who currently works in tech. I wanted to ask for your advice on how to handle burnout and your advice on my situation.
I’ve realized that the tech layoffs and also being a contractor in this environment have all led me to become extremely burnt out. Im still relatively new to my career, but I feel like I’ve pushed myself so hard these past few years because I hoped it would lead me to becoming an FTE. When I first got hired, I was told I would most likely get converted and that it was almost a guarantee. However, things have changed due to the macroeconomic environment, and I feel bamboozled and betrayed. Ive lost enjoyment in my day to day life, and I feel that I’m pushing myself so hard and repressing my feelings because of my fear of the alternative: feeling helpless and being jobless
I have enough savings for a year, and a part of me wants to just quit my job to travel, rest, and rejuvenate. The logical part of my brain says I should stay in my job for the financial and career stability. However, the emotional part of my brain is realizing that this is not sustainable for me. Thank you, and I hope you, INTJ, and Kobe are doing well.
Hey there, thanks for supporting the blog.
To start, you have a right to be pissed off because contractor to FTE conversions are often dangled in front of contractors to keep them motivated even when the company knows it's an unlikely outcome. It doesn't financially make sense most of the time to convert contractors to FTEs because it increases costs (benefits, taxes, severance, PTO, etc.), it decreases staffing flexibility (ease of layoffs, ease of swapping out resources, etc.), and it increases effort (performance management).
With that said, not getting converted isn't the end of the world, it's just a minor setback due to economic circumstances. Tech isn't crashing (i.e. it's not failing-- it's still making an obscene amount of money), it's just correcting for overhiring in 2021 and once the situation stabilizes you'll be in a much better position with the experience you've accumulated than someone who has no tech experience. You also still have a job, a paycheck, and financial security which is more than many people in this world can say.
Consider also a third option: use the skills, experience, and network you currently have to apply to many new jobs. Start with less desirable companies first as practice interviewing, then work your way up to more desirable companies once you've had enough practice. Target only full-time roles. This resource post I wrote a few years ago and the following tags have more: #job hunting and #career. Once you secure an offer, push the start date out and a vacation in between.
I don't know your exact financial situation so I can't advise if quitting your job without anything new lined up is a wise choice, but it's something that I'd never do. Keep in mind that hiring bias exists and that unemployed people have a tougher time finding a job than employed people whether it's due to voluntarily quitting, being laid off, raising a baby, or another reasons. It may be difficult to return to the workforce after your sabbatical especially if you don't have many years of experience and an extensive network to help you.
In the short term, I'd try the third outcome first and see what offers come your way. Ease up at work (without dropping any balls) and focus on your wellbeing. The worst they can do is fire you and you're already applying externally with a year's worth of savings as a cushion.
In the long term, hold companies to their promises and advocate harder for yourself. If they promise a conversion or a promotion or whatever, then demand a timeline and get it in writing. If not, leave situations when they no longer benefit you before they become so intolerable that you burn out. Burnout is like an empty gas tank in a car. There are many warning signs long before that happens-- heed them and course correct.

Journal Entry #1:
I have no idea what life is right now. I feel like when you hit 23-26, you begin to wonder what you’re even doing for real. You’re really a toddler-adult. Like I’ve only been here for three days??
I was affected by layoffs in 2023 and wasn’t able to find something else to keep my income stable during that time. It was frustrating having my income drop ✨drastically✨. But during the same year, I found newfound confidence in achieving my dream of becoming a pop artist?
I long let the dream go because I felt that I maybe was too weird; too ugly; too overweight; too anxious; too poor. I had auditioned for a few music variety shows in elementary, middle, and high school, and nothing ever stuck. So I just assumed that maybe it wasn’t fated?
But now at 25, I realize that I was made for this. It truly runs in the family, and now it’s my turn to decide between choosing my dream that’s a bit unconventional vs choosing stability. It’s been 7 months and I’m still choosing my dreams no matter how low my bank account gets; how frustrated I feel when I don’t pass auditions. It’s all building me up to become better.
The ideas I have? The talent I have? The work ethic I’ve gained? The maturity I’ve gained? It all needed to happen in this order I think. I want a long, successful, multi-faceted career. Little me wouldn’t be able to handle it at all. I’ve gained community through an academy I attended to learn dance that inspires me to keep going; I’ve done some in-person auditions to expose myself to higher-pressure situations so I can learn to ground myself; I’m learning and training myself at home to ensure my skills only grow, not plateau; I am actively making sacrifices so I can be better all-around. I have no choice but to succeed.
I’m just hoping that an entertainment company believes in me as much as I believe in myself. I recently submitted 2 auditions to companies that I truly see myself thriving in and believe I may be a good fit for based on their vision of disrupting the global music market (they are kpop company adjacent!). I didn’t choose them lightly. I even created a PDF to pitch myself with a letter and all. I wanted them to see that I’m serious about this. It’s not a quarter-life crisis; I’m not trying to prove “I still got it”. I want them to see that I want to make entertaining my full-time, long-term career. I want to inspire people with my story and with my life. There are so many people who give up on their dreams because of current reality, and I want to be an example that they don’t have to do so.
Being an entertainer, to me, is a huge job of service. You’re serving society and offering yourself to inspire others and facilitate conversation; to add to culture. It’s a beautiful thing that I don’t take lightly.
Anywho…lol I’ve rambled a lot. Idk why I even said all this here. I don’t think anyone who I’ve sent an audition to will see it. Did I say all this for the plot? lmao.
I just hope I’m able to at least do a training test run. It’s a gamble to accept a 25 year old. I just want a chance to prove myself and to show that I can truly do great things. Bring my vision to life. Idk.
Well I guess that’s all for now! Bye 🫶🏽

So like, I don’t talk a lot of details about my job online, for obvious safety/security/not losing that job reasons, but I have GOT to tell you all the shit that’s going down.
I work at a legal firm, right? I’m a legal assistant. And when I first got this job, I was like, “omg, this is like, a dream come true.” Because almost immediately after I landed the job, they were like, “hey, you can actually work from home full time if you want,” and it didn’t involve phone calls or any public facing work, and I was like, YES. Finally something for my anxious ass.
Within my first two months at the company, there was a major layoff (around Christmas) that took out basically every group that had been hired after me. Yikes. But my good luck that I got to stay on!
Fast-forward.
I’ve now been working at this company for two years. I switched from a tertiary work group to the main company, and then the group I was working with got our own department! Cool! Lots of people got flown down here so we could all meet in person and have lunch together and get Branded Gifts lol. Fun!
A couple of months after that, around Christmas, we all got called into a Firmwide Town Hall type thing, and during that, the WHOLE company got blindsided by the news that 25% of the company was either going to have to voluntarily resign, or be laid off, because we’ve been operating at a loss. And they’ve KNOWN this since JULY.
They tell us with about two weeks to make the decision, with the assurance that everyone who resigns will get a separation package, depending on how long they’ve been with the company. So, me, two years in, am looking at a separation package of one month’s pay from the date I sign the agreement, or potentially two weeks’ pay if I’m laid off by the company later. Great.
I decide to try to stay on. Our team is small, and we handle a lot of work, so I’m hoping we won’t be trimmed down too much, and I’m hoping the higher salary folks will be targeted first, as mean as that is. We’re getting trained on some new work that we’re taking over from another group, on top of our already stifling workload.
After the new year rolls around, we get an email from the attorney that heads up our team. She’s made a list of the people who are leaving from our team:
1x - Manager
1x - Team Lead
1x - Sales Dept. Person
1x - Attorney Support
1x - Irreplaceable Person Who Has Old Knowledge Unshared for 50+ years
Four people of our already small team leaving. To put that in perspective, we’re now left with:
1x - Judicial Foreclosure Person
1x - Nonjudicial Foreclosure Person
1x - Sales Dept. Person
1x - Manager
1x - Attorney
Y’all, our team got HALVED by this. We already were struggling.
So now they’re trying desperately to crash course us through all of the things that the people leaving do/did; we have no guides ready for most of this stuff, the work is piling up because the people who normally do it are now having to stop doing it to take the time to teach US to do it, and it’s not making any sense, because it’s not the type of thing you can learn in a couple of Zoom calls lol.
Also, when I say that person up there is irreplaceable? I mean it. Literally no one else knows how to do their job, lol. And they’re not good at teaching it, because it’s something you have to learn by doing to really GET. And you have to learn it by doing it over YEARS.
When I tell you this company has become an absolute dumpster fire, y’all.
AND,
AND
to top it all off, we’ve been asked to detail out our work days so that they can offer these descriptions to a Financial Advisor who will tell them what our New Pay Scale should be, so it sounds like on top of everything, they’re looking to lower our pay this year.
#eli txt#THIS WHOLE THING HAS FOR REAL JUST BEEN SO BONKERS YONKERS#I JUST HAD TO SHARE HOW MY NEW YEAR IS GOING

Not gonna lie, friends: these waves have the email world freaking out a little. A lot of people kinda forget that there are actual people working email at all, but that's kinda the problem: if they didn't know you were there then what's the harm in cutting you? And if you work in email deliverability, where you're literally trying to help navigate the complicated world of email and how to successfully get as much of your legitimate email delivered as possible, or email compliance, where you're trying to hold senders accountable while simultaneously delisting and mitigating blocklists and handling abuse complaints, then you might have an even harder time explaining your role within the company and why it matters. Its so important to establish strong ties with every team you touch on, which can be quite a bit in the world of email: success managers, support, OPS, ENG, Legal, etc.
And the other thing that I want to put across right now is that a lot of the people laid off are just...folks. I feel like there's an image of tech workers where it's all 'The Social Network,' young people out to "work fast and break stuff" and if they get laid off they'll just hop to another job. They're young, right? Well, this kind of thing is tough no matter what, and a lot of people who work in tech have families, are maybe middle-aged or close to it, maybe this job is the primary source of income for the household.
I think I should be safe. My company has diversified products across a large range (although the product they're most known for is probably the real money maker) and there have been hiring freezes and other cost-cutting measures but no talks of layoffs that I've heard.
But we're all still a little shook, and being worried about layoffs never really goes away.

Fr tho! They're soo meme poisoned that they'll toss aside any morality just to get their kick!
Against Ai? "But the memes it'll make" is the core example I point to that these idiots puke.
Rotted critical thinking, and poor logical reasoning, I have not found a single ai bro or memer who lacks these traits;
> incoming ai vent not directed at you < Can't wait for them to find out where these lazy fucks/bullies place will be once more when the owners of the ai make the ai start auto-generating itself.
"Its new opportunities, new jobs!!" Adapt fuckers, come on, adapt. Awwwhhh you can't keep up with something that is not just meant to replace artists but also you? Tsk tsk "Survival of the fittest" ai bro loser. Have you tried perhaps sucking the owner's cock some more? Maybe that trickle down economics of Capitalism will reach you if you did that harder. :3
"It's progress, a future we all need that will benefit humanity" New tech never fixed a society, I love the enthusiasm but let's come back down from cloud 9, the owners don't want you up there with them unless it's to serve them. Otherwise get back to the mines and sewers where your pains are more entertaining for them. And there are far too many cons to bringing generative algorithms in (bty its not ai, its generative algorithms; this isnt the movies where ai has come alive or is a person that can learn new skills. That's just the buzzword these companies shill to delude you into buying their snake oil and believe that a human coding in a new line of code equals it self learning.)
Also progress never ever meant more of something. Ai content spam (which is what these fucks intend to make it or want from it) will not ease your woes, it will not decrease prices either. Remember Netflix? Did they keep their decreased prices once blockbuster was out? No, they didn't. And "natural inflation" (🤣) wasnt the cause either.
All it is is more money being wrangled up into the chasm pockets of the owners and generations long capitalist class. You will never get a piece of that action because they took it and all the new ones that pop up. That's how capitalism went, and why Imperialism and capitalism go hand in hand to this day.
"But it'll get us better content than the lazy hollywood artists ever did!" Who do you think the ai is trained off of dumbass! And the bad content isnt because of lack of ability or enthusiasm, they got stiffed. The project wasn't funded nor managed properly because the owners and managers find it easier to do less for the same paycheck, and more money for their stocks. (Kinda why layoffs happen at the end of each year, to artificially bump up that income line) The guys making the content have to balance what they are paid with spending extra time to do something they want to do that could have been focused on getting other income to eat and survive on a basic level, and spend time with their families. You can't just keep people at work while stripping their income without causing fissures, they need a certain level of income before they are forced to look elsewhere! Ai won't fix those problems and you aren't going to get anything different from what you've been handed because once ai hits its profit equilibrium, its going to degrade as its foundations get ripped out to boost up the infinite growth fallacy Capitalism is!
"You're coping soo hard rn (or insert some ad-hominim" A common fallacy used when one's beliefs are challenged, easily uprooted and disposed of aka yur feewees gots hurts and u cants handle it 🥺👉👈 Cry more ya bullies, I came from a cult and know your kind 🤣
The internet is so fucking weird to artists who make anything interesting "thanks! I hate it" "this is cursed" "i love this but i hate this" you realize some people aren't drawing memes all the time right and art can be a medium of expressing complex feelings and writing off ppls expressions as a joke is so weird i hate meme poisoned weirdos

AI-based E-Governance Part-III
Note: Examples here are just for illustration, they may not tally with real time events. Note real facts on historical events may vary.
Here is my lecture on AI based Governance
youtube
Key Points in the lecture
— E-governance is there for long but we need AI based E-governance more than ever before now. These databases can be statistically analyzed, but we need to go beyond statistics. These databases can be analyzed with data mining, we need to think beyond data mining as well.
— Why AI and why to use AI, why to pay prize to do AI based analysis of E-governance data?
— Is it to save money? To automate systems?
— Is it to layoff people? No, if you think so, you are mistaken, if someone does it then he is getting it wrong, at least for the government.
— It is to understand what processes are being struck and what are the problems learning from the past and learning from each other, country-wise, state-wise, and globally, which shared data.
— How to get out of tough or deadlock kind of problems.
— Its not just to save the jobs or to lay off the government jobs.
— Is it about saving the government money.
— Its about how to get out of the problems that the governments get struck into.
— What we did earlier and what we should do now?
— And AI based help to get out of those problems.
— The aim of AI here is to use artificial Intelligence to get out of some problems, with say right prompt.
— Human intelligence is also there but the problem is that systems are so many, managing everything humanly is not easy when decision-making is complex. Only experienced politicians can do such decision making, but to reach seniors with each problem is not tough so lets have seniors with us, with the learned AI-systems.
— Example the flood thing that happened, that was missed humanly, AI might had been able to help then if it were guided and well trained AI.
— That letting officials know certain things are to be escalated, these things are not in domain of even AI, so let experts handle it.
— In Spain floods, these issues would had to be escalated and it had to deal with loss of lives and materials.
— Its not about job loss and automation, as we progress further in life, the problems changes and we lead to ultra modernization, where life need to be preserved.
— It should not take job, rather upskilling should be done.
— These people have experience of government departments, so they can apply AI, monitor AI growing on tasks they are good at.
— If they are master of some task they can apply AI on that task and it can be useful.
— The can master tasks, in future if there is a four day a week concept or a three day a week concept, then it is ensured AI is back there and can escalate things to you, to come to office or more. For example airforce pilots are ready to work day and night, and at times have no work at all. Same way the Spain floods that water that fell in in Spain, such things come under accountability. The things to escalate and handle things need to be developed and AI can help in that, saying why are you not taking the feedback from the next level. The human officer will say “why do I need to do it”, AI system would say, “something is not right here, something like this happened in Afganistan in yes xxxx, and they took xx steps. I have checked with Afganistan metrological department” .
This is the level of AI we want to build
— These are topics of accountability and transparency.
— There are some departments that can be shared for AI for global welfare, such as climate change, natural calamities, metrology and more.
— Everything is electronic governance, all these things E-governance and metrology, are in electronic forms not, lets see how E-version of climate change develops.
— Interactions and exchange around the world needed.
— -World can be a much smaller place to live in as all this can be shared.
— Yes E-governance things cant be shared.
— Example of AI that can comes out of sharing E-climate change data can be like, “This happened in xyz town and they did not take steps, so it made abc number of casualties”
— This is just one example of how world would be one place when dealing with climate change with help of AI.
— Worldwide all the climate change data and all the natural disaster data can be shared to be used by common AI.
— Human can be constantly reminded by AI such as “These events happened in Japan and these events happened in Turkey”. Nobody was prepared there as well, nobody ever thought that such a thing could had happened. Were there any hints? Now this can be connected to the geological data. If something like this happens, what to do next, for the entire area, AI based messages and AI alerts can be send.
— So transparency is that we had a record of Spain data, we had Afghanistan data, but things happened. (This is just for illustration, do not correlate)
— There are supervised and supervised learnings but we need deep learning too.
— Its not just supervised algorithms no, there should be logic also, there should be decision making also, there should be uncertainty based decision making as well, there should be CNN, LSTM, GPT, so on and not to forget Expert Systems.
— Country-level E-governance data cannot be shared. Thats privacy.
— E-governance of the country should be free from data theft.
— For example the country’s taxation data should be within the country only. Questions the leaders can ask is are people feeling burden, not just statistics, its more than statistics, not just data mining, its more than data mining,
— This is not for decision-making, this is for inputs.
— You can give prompts, prompts, “Are people happy with current taxation systems”
— Are people happy with goods and services tax.
— Can leaders increase some tax, as country is in need of some money, such kind of questions in Natural Language Processing should be made.
— Next, example, of AI based E-governance, to maintain international relations, for example two countries were not in good friendly international relations, AI can help find out good times, and come up with ways of dealing it with and to send solutions to bureaucrats who can implement the same. For example India and Canada are not in very nice happy relation these days, so some old quotes can be recalled, and some solution can be found with government GPT, or Diplomat_GPT
— Next example, is, the benefit of your own citizens, for example in India there are farmers that are protesting, online protest was a topic of my article sometime back, here its different, but people need a medium to say and be heard.
— Self trained chatGPT like solution along with logic.
— Constitution GPT, legal GPT,
— An intelligent AI for solving such problems.
— Prompt, who is most unhappy, and why,
— Who is the happiest?
— Deep learning GPT is not enough, logic is needed,
— GPT has entered in a plateau region, progress needed here,
