I love the beautiful symmetry of Gideon and Harrow stabbing themselves in the place they think best of themselves, to save each other.

Gideon thinks she's the most alive thing in all of Ninth house. She feels brimming with life and doesn't want to waste away in the dead skeleton bones place, with the deathly inhabitants. And to save Harrowhark, she throws herself onto the spiked garden fence that stabs through her heart.

Harrow thinks she's smarter than everyone. She's the best necromancer in her generation, best alive, possibly best ever. Her potential is limited only by her imagination and if how long it takes her to solve a problem. And to save Gideon, she throws herself to Ianthe's mercy who stabs her brain at her behest.

finally soobin who touches you like you were made out of the finest porcelain and could break under mere pressure of his hands, leaving butterfly kisses all over your body, trying to leave delicate marks to show that you’re only his, without causing even a tiny bit of pain or discomfort. eating you out like a starved man, like you were the only thing he wants to taste forever. so sweet and addictive. tears of desperation forming in his eyes once again as he says "they would never give it to you like i do, they would never treat you the same way. you’re mine, only mine". and later falling asleep holding your fragile body in his warm caring embrace, whispering words of affection in your ear and making sure that you know he would never let any other man touch you.

I’m at episode 29 of 0079 and I’m kinda gobsmacked by how good this show is. It’s kinda hard for me to articulate what I like about it, because it’s simultaneously very different from the Gundam shows I’ve watched up until this point, but also very much the same.

It starts off pretty good, but manages to slowly raise the quality as time goes on until you keep coming across an episode every now and then that makes you go, “This is really good.” Of course, it’s a 70s show. So a lot of the writing is definitely different than what I’m used to, being raised on 90s-2010s anime and all, but I’ve grown attached to the White Base crew and the imperfect found family they slowly forge together over the course of the show.

I completely understand why it made the waves it did during its reruns and film releases and how it became the franchise it is today.

Mobile Suit Gundam is just good television.

suddenly feeling very ill after interpreting tianlang-jun and su xiyan's relationship and qijiu's as foils to bingqiu's. all three relationships suffered greatly because of a horrific big misunderstanding, aggravated further by a lack of communication thereafter.

su xiyan, yue qingyuan, and shen yuan are all similar in their decision not to communicate the truth out of guilt, believing that they have failed and have (though unwillingly) abandoned their loved one thus deserve no forgiveness, just suffering.

meanwhile, the common denominator between tianlang-jun, shen jiu, and binghe is the self-loathing born out of the fact that despite the perceived betrayal of their loved one, forgiveness still won out (even before they knew of the truth and received the apology they were due) and the love they feel have persevered.

unfortunately for tianlang-jun and su xiyan, tianlang-jun didn't even get to find out the truth in the original plot, and it had simply been too late in the svsss universe.

same goes for qijiu, shen jiu doesn't get to find out the truth in pidw. meanwhile, yue qingyuan musters the courage to confess his truth too late in svsss; the shen qingqiu that awoken from that one qi deviation all those years ago is no longer the same one he'd loved—which interestingly can be, in some way, paralleled with how shen yuan initially believed that the luo binghe who emerged from the abyss is no longer his beloved white lotus binghe and thus his own lack of attempt to ask forgiveness and explain his actions to binghe upon his return.

A headcanon I have about the sky flame is that the mafia makes it more important than it is. They claim it's something only bosses can have, but it's not. However, due to this, being a regular smuck in the mafia AND having sky flames? Keep that to yourself if you want to live. They have an image and tradition to keep alive, ie "only bosses have the sky flame."

This is also why Xanxus' mother was so sure that Nono was his father, her son has sky flames so he must be related to a boss! I don't remember if they said but I like to think part of why she was sure it was him was because she and Xanxus live in Vongola territory, so naturally it couldn't be anyone else.

While Xanxus' mother was mentally ill, rumors like that couldn't be left alone so Nono had to get involved.

But it's also how I imagine it goes when a poor person or someone lacking status appears with a sky flame...except, their fate is often fatal.
