The last sentence about him wanting all might to pay attention to him and spend as much time with him as he spends with Izuku is so middle child/ ignored child-coded that it hurts 🥲
in my dr bakugo has a diary he writes anything in. even just a smaal sentence, like :"today I beat deku's ass, and he was much stronger" "mineta is totally on my nerves" "I wish allmight spent time with me just as he does with deku" and it's just so lovely to read the diary, tbh. (in the dreams I had from my dr I found a little note he wrote abt me and I was too excited)
#my hero academia#mha#bakugo katsuki#katsuki bakugo#bnha#but like really the idea of him having a little diary where he writes little random sentences is sooo 🥺💜#like imagine the Bakusquad finding the journal and then reading all of the things he said about them 🥺#like he would write how he TRULY feels about people#and im 100% sure he writes the most sappy little things about them 😭💜#how they are the only people that he can really call friends ( beside izuku but he would never admit that )#or that he wishes he was able to tell them how happy he is when he is around them and all 😭😭#im rambling too much ( call me izuku 😌 )#or izu finding the journal and reading (numerous) the CHAPTERS were baku talks about how hes so sorry for the way he treated zuku#how he regrets telling him to off himself and never being able to truly capture how deeply sorry he is in his words and apologize#then he finds letters that he had wrote were its obvious that bakugou wanted to transcript that hate for his past action to zuku#but every time hed just abandon the idea#sorry the last chapters transformed me into a bkdk shiper i think 🥲#anyway thanks for listening#💮~delia's garden~💮#💮#bkdk

hii it's meee :3 another izu req
reader plays a prank on her friend izuku, it ultimately goes wrong and they somehow end up trapped inside a closed space. Together. Alone. Tight room. Tension. Heat. Mwah
ah, another ask from the great mind of @lovelykil
I would be more than happy to fulfill this for you<33🎗️
Stuck Inside..
...........................................
God you loved your friend group, how chaotic, dumb, and funny they were, they always made you and mina feel like queens those boys did.
Bakugou, kirishima, denki and sero, they knew how to have fun they sure did, playing pranks on people, having movie nights that only inner circle people are invited to, it was ultimate fun.
But they had an initiation, to officially be invited to the 'bakusquad' not the name you would've gone with but whatever, you had to successfully prank someone in the dekusquad for 5 days and not get caught, see when sero told you this at the lunch table, bakugou and denki smirking while kirishima and mina looked at each other with such worried looks, you were already down, who didn't love a good prank on their peers?
Mina sighed and looked at you with a scared look like she had something to tell you, she tried too, opening her mouth before shutting it at the sight of bakugou staring daggers into her. You wanted to know why they were being so secretive but you didn't want them to not trust you, so you simply kept your mouth shut and listened to sero go on about the tradition.
"so all I have to do is prank someone? Easy."
You say rolling your eyes and clapping your hands together.
"don't forget, you can't get caught, so do whatever it takes, even frame someone else, to get away." Sero emphasizes heavily to you.
"too easy. Now, who shall be my victim.~" you scoff, then rub your hands together scoping out your prey.
"deku."
You hear a slightly rasped, deep voice chime in.
"oh? How come?" You question the still smirking blonde as he glared at you with deep volcanic red eyes.
"do the prank.. or don't. You're the one who wants to be with us, and those are the rules, either do the prank or dip. Either or."
Bakugou barks at you with a shit eating grin, leaning back against the window as he puts his hands behind his head laying on them.
You look around the cafeteria to search for the green haired boy, spotting him smiling and laughing with his friend group. His emerald green eyes shining so bright in the sun, his pearly white smile blinding you, he really was such a bright star, you were just afraid this prank might burn him out, although you really wanted to be apart of their clique, were you really gonna prank an innocent angel who's never done anything wrong to you, just so you can have a designated seat at the 'cool kids' table?
You inhale through your nose and exhale heavily out through your mouth.
"fuck it, I'm in. Any specific prank in mind?"
Yes, yes you were.
Your answer caused bakugou to smile widely at you, the rest of the boys doing so as well as they all snicker and snort quietly, again besides mina and kirishima who just sighed and accepted what was to come there truly was nothing they could do.
"shit man.. that might just make him cry, are you sure?"
You question after hearing the prank they wanted you to do.
"hey, your call, if you don't wanna do this, don't. We aren't forcing you of course these are all your choices, just make sure this is what you really want to do and be prepared to go down if you get caught."
The way denki worded his sentence made you feel something deep inside, guilt? No.. regret? Can't be, you hadn't done anything yet. So what was it?
You sigh, really thinking this through, hell you really felt something inside but you couldn't quite put a finger on it..
"yeah.. oh.. okay, I'll do it."
You agree before shrugging off everything and bringing your gaze back into everyone at the table, smiles still plastered on their faces as you see katsuki and denki fist bump.
That should've been red flag number one.
A couple days later you set your prank into motion, on Monday you started out tame, stealing little things he would need, whether it be his pencil, notebook, doesn't matter, if you could get your hands on it you did.
When izuku realized his notebook was missing, he freaked out looking around with a nervous face, not wanting to interrupt anyone or bother them with his silly needs, you kinda felt bad, but you couldn't let emotions get In the way of becoming an official member of the squad.
You sucked it up and waited for the next day.
As Tuesday hit your pranks slowly progressed into getting worse, you had started leaving mean notes in his locker, his desk, even his bad, they'd say just random hurtful shit, whether that be about his freckles or his scars, things you thought he'd brush off. But boy were you wrong, seeing his spirit shatter as he read each and every note really left a bad taste in your mouth, hell you thought you saw years prickling at the edge of his eyes.
You again, brushed it off and waited for the next day.
Wednesday, you decided to kinda bully him, well not really, just nudge him into the locker when you walked by, or kicking the pit of his knees making them buckle, small things like that.
He felt so humiliated when he nearly tripped because of you, everyone staring at him as you glance at him with doe like eyes and bat your lashes at him.
"are you okay?"
He looked at you with glossy eyes and sniffed before nodding violently and rushing out of the class, you sighed and grabbed you bag leaving too as it was the end of the day, god you hated this but you were almost through, just 3 more days and your free.
As thursday rolled in you sucked up everything in you and, mentally prepared yourself for the next prank, you decided to go off script and do little tame things, take a bite from aoyamas book and leave more little notes in his room, it scared him by the looks of him, you hadn't felt too bad for this one as you and already progressed from the little notes in day 2 of your pranks, just one more day, one more prank and then your free, however this prank was the worst and all if the bakusquad was gonna be present.
You had to make sure you didn't let your emotions get in the way so you mentally prepared yourself the night before.
Finally Friday rolled around, most Fridays are spent training so with that being said you need to change into your hero suit in the locker rooms, deku is always the last one to shower after training and putting away his hero suit, out of respect for his friends, at least that's what the boys told you,
You sigh readying yourself to go in there and take his clothes as they would lock the door making sure he couldn't get out unless he broke the door, then eventually coming back for him in the morning if he hadn't.
God you were terrified, the prep the night before hadn't helped at all, you were literally shaking in your boots. You sighed as you see all of the boys leave the shower room as mina and you waited outside for them to give you a signal.
When bakugou gave you a nod, with a wide smirk on his face you sighed and ran in, the door opening and shutting loudly catching izukus attention whilst he showered, he brushed it off as one of the guys coming in and stated in the shower, you walked to the bench next to the showers making sure he couldn't see you, you grabbed his clothes and ran as fast as you could, once you made it out you held his clothes breathing heavily with a smile on your face as you struggle to catch your breath, your heart beating so fast from the adrenaline.
"I.. I got it!"
You saved it around showing the boys and mina, a smile never making it onto her face, her knowing what's coming next she shuts her eyes and mouths and apology, you look at her as sero, kirishima, and bakugou give you your praise, you were so confused and focused on what she meant by it you hadn't even seen denki slip behind you and quietly open the door, mina quickly pushed you inside and bakugou locked the door with the key, everyone laughing loudly as you fall into the floor with a grunt, kirishima had snatched dekus clothes from you before mina pushed you in, you bang on the door and hokd back tears.
"hey! Let.. let me out! Mina, how fucking could you!.."
All you could hear was laughs as they suddenly faded away, their shadows disappearing as well, as another comes from behind you, you'd seen the shadow on the door as you quickly turn around with a gaso as izuku held a towel around his waist trying to assure you were alright.
You look down before looking back up and looking away.
It was awkward, silent, and he looked so fucking hot, and he probably guessed you were the one that had taken his clothes.
"...hey, you uhm.. wouldn't happen to know where my clothes... are?..."
He spoke quietly, and with a somewhat leveled voice not wanting to scare you off not that you could go anywhere.
You sigh before groaning in anger and frustration as you slap your hands to your face and slide down the door.
" I'm sorry... for taking your clothes and giving it to them, for bullying you and leaving mean notes and taking your things and--"
"that... Those.. things were you?..."
He asked in a confused tone, his brows furrowed, as he looked at the ground before slowly looking up to look at you, his eyes shaking, searching your face for an answer that you didn't want to provide.
You hadn't wanted to speak so you simply nodded, sighing as you bang your head back on the door, causing izuku to jump and rush down to you.
"hey, don't do that you could hurt yourself..."
For fucks sakes, you just admitted to doing these horrible things to him and passing them off as a 'prank' and he's still checking on toyou?
The way he looked down at you, his hand on the back of your head making sure you weren't hurt, his fingers rubbed the area soothingly, making your head lean back into his hand.
The two of you were just looking at each other, eyes staring into the others as your faces moved closer, before you knew his it, his breath fanned you face, the smell of mint coming off of it, he liked to chew gum to keep his jawline nice, god he looked so good like this, water droplets from the shower running down his body and wet hair.
The hand that was on your head moved to your cheek, rubbing his thumb over it as he brought you close, your noses brushed against each other's slightly, it was so quiet you could practically hear his heart pounding out of his chest, his breaths slowly turning more heavy as he looked down to your lips, licking his that were parted and nibbling lightly on his lower one.
"can I kiss you...please?"
His voice coming off more desperate and whimper-y than he meant.
You were tired of talking, tired of thinking, all you wanted to do was push your feelings from the betrayal you just went through down, and what better way to do that than fuck the person you'd been torturing for 5 days?
You pulled him into a deep kiss, groaning inside of it, your teeth clashed together and you pulled him by his shoulders, making him out his knees on either side of your thighs, his towel threatening to come off, you let him trail the kiss off into your neck as he gently kissed, licked, and nipped at it, little noises coming from him as he did so.
You sighed breathily, your eyes accidentally trailed down his lower abdomen, staring at his well toned abs and the v line going down, god that was so sexy to you, as your eyes kept trailing down you seen how his towel was even managing to somewhat stay up, his cock was fully erect and bobbing against the towel, that was the reason he was making whimper like noises.
He started bucking into the towel making your eyes widen slightly at the sight, a little damp patch forming in the thick towel, had he cum or something? You thought to yourself as he full blown moaned into your ear, was he really gaining that much pleasure from grinding his hard on against a rough towel?
You looked up to him as he looked down at you with a red face, his heart was racing as he looked down at his aching cock then back to you, you connected the dots and guessed he was asking you to touch him.
Without thinking about it, your hands trailed up his abs, then down again as you trickle your fingers over his wrapped cock, you felt his cock twitch underneath your light touches as a breathy sigh leaves his opened mouth, his eyes slightly rolling back, there was no way he was getting this much pleasure from this.
You scoffed and gripped his cock tightly, making his body jolt and a stuttery 'oh' leave his mouth as he looked down at you, grabbed you by your cheeks and pulled you into a heated kiss, he bucked his hips into your hand and he moaned and whined into the kiss, it being hard to stay in it due to him humping into your hand frantically like a bunny during mating season or some shit.
Your teeth clashed against each others once more as he shoved his tongue in your mouth, flicking his against yours, swapping spit and groaning into your mouth as you swallowed all his messy little noises that dropped from his mouth like spit.
He grabbed your other hand and pulled it up to his throat and wrapped it around his neck, you just kept your hand right there not applying any force letting him control it as he kept jerking his hips into your tightly gripped hand, he closed his hand around yours that was also around his neck.
Aww, was this his little attempt at getting you to choke him? I suppose his wish is your command.
You choke him harshly making his eyes roll back as he bit his lip harshly, moans being muffled by it, he bucked his hips a few more times before blowing his load into the towel, his cum seeping through the fabric and dripping onto your wrist and your pants, there was just so much you thought he was never gonna stop.
His hips kept lightly twitching up into the towel causing him to bend forward and moan into your ear due to the over stimulation, god his pitchy moans were so hot.
His hot breath still fanned your ear before he finally said something his voice a little groggy.
"please let me... let me eat you.. I want to taste you, please...?"
His sentence ended with a whimper in your ear as he moved his forehead to lean against yours.
"okay."
Was all you could get out before he pulled down your shorts in a flash, your panties coming off with them, he instantly hurriedly his face in-between your partially opened thighs, his tongue licking and prodding against your lower lips, not pushing his tongue fully inside, he licked a tongue stripe up and down your slit, a moan leaving your lips, you didn't fight anything and just let him work his magic, and bit was he magical with his tongue.
He finally stopped teasing and pushing his pink muscle inside, quickly lapping at your hole and lightly licking you clit in fast motions, he continued this for a while, and by a while I mean about 15 minutes, you were so close to cumming a couple of times but every time he sensed you were about to come he pulled away and pet your slit gently with his thumb, occasionally circling your clit slowly, agonizingly slow.
"wh..- why do you keep testing me like this.."
You groaned and looked down at him with glossed eyes, you didn't expect him to look at you with such a piercing gaze, his lidded emerald eyes staring painful daggers at you as he shoved two of his thick fingers inside of you without warning.
Your back arched and the pain mixed pleasures hips grinding down into his fingers as he finger fucked you, his fingers plunged in and out of you at a insanely fast pace, tears started prickling at the corner of your eyes, you were so close once again before he scoffed and pulled away with a smirk.
"do you really think you deserve to cum after how you've treated me all week? No, you're going to suffer like you made me."
His fingers arched up into you and plunged in and out of you at an erratic pace for about 5 more minutes, he just kept going and stopping not letting you cum.
"you wanna cum, love? Beg. Beg for me to let me cum, slut."
You were sobbing, tears streaming down your puffy red cheeks, hiccups and spit leaving your mouth as a string of incoherent begs left your mouth, you were pleasing helplessly for the orgasms you needed.
He sighed with a smile, squinted emerald eyes peering down at you in an evil, yet satisfied way. He loved how dumb you were from being finger fucked like this, god he could only imagine how brain dead you'd be if he fucked you in his cock.
He didn't say a word as he simply picked up up with ease, man handling you like a ragdoll, and switched your positions, you were now straddling his lap, due to you not expecting him to pick you up so quickly you leaned against his body, your tears falling onto his shoulder as he rubbed your back soothingly, hushing you while kissing the top of your head.
"it's okay, baby, you did so well for me. I'll give you what you need now, okay?"
You gulp hardly, you can hardly even get words out as you're still hiccuping from crying, before you can fully process what he says he undoes his towel that was previously wrapped around his waist and slammed his cock inside of you, you winced at the stretch and the brutal pace he'd already set.
You groan loudly as your eyes roll back, your head falling onto his shoulder as you can barely get out little 'fuck's and 'please's.
He hadn't let up, his hips hammering up into you, you were grinding down into him causing a breathy moan to leave him, a smile made it's way back onto his face as he kissed your head once more.
"you're doing.. so well, my love, it's okay I'll make you cum."
The way he whispered lovingly in your ear made this experience for you so much better for you, you had tightened around him, feeling that familiar feeling, you were going to cum, finally you were going to get to feel that release that you needed, tears continuously fell from your face as you moaned loudly, picking your head up from the crook of his neck to gripping his broad shoulders for stability as you begin grinding into him, feeling so close you hadn't wanted him to rip it away from you again.
He was shocked by the control you ended up taking, he didn't stop thrusting into you, although due to you grinding the rhythm he had set had been thrown off track, your hips hit against each other in an uneven fashion, but you couldn't possibly begin to care when you were finally going to cum.
Izuku grabbed at you hips, holding them tightly to stop you from moving, you tried to continue moving despite his painful grip on your waist, he was far too strong for you to even remotely gain he upper hand, you let him win as he sped up the jerking and jolting of his hips, the clapping sound of your ass meeting his pelvis echoing throughout the locker room.
There was one thrust that hit so vigorously against that sweet spot inside you, everything in you fell apart, you inhaled sharply, eyes rolling back as you grip and scratch as his shoulders harshly leaving a mark and probabkt even drawing blood, he grkaned byt never ceased his hips from stopping, your velvety walls convulsed around his so sweetly it caused his hips to buck into you at a frantic and frenzied pace, his hios stuttering into you as his breath hitched, he squeezed his eyed shut tightly, trying to hold out just a little longer to feel your warn and soft walls tighten around him, alas he simply couldn't, he thrusted one last time before spilling his seed deep inside of you, the warmth of his thick sticky cum warming you entirely, a shiver going up your spine as he lets his head lean into your neck, sighing deeply in the crook.
Your head ended up on top of his, coming your fingers through his damp curls, he sighed in content enjoying the satisfying feeling of your fingers raking and scratching his scalp, you wanted to say so much but also just sit in the moment, it was silent, but it was a comfortable one that you hadn't wanted to ruin with words.
"why did you forgive me so easily."
You say in a groggy and slightly raised voice, you moaned so loudly and cried so hard you had slightly started to lose your voice, izuku simply hummed, enjoying the vibration of your chest as you spoke and the nice feeling of still being inside of your warm messy insides.
"well, I suppose I haven't exactly forgiven you yet, but I'm not going to stop being your friend because of what happened."
"seriously? This shit is fucked up, we're locked in here, with no way to get out, and you don't have any clothes you could get sick. Or worse. Die."
He simply chuckled, making you angry, you were worried and all he could do was laugh at you.
"what?"
"y/n I can't get common sicknesses anymore, I don't know what OFA has done to my immune system but I can't catch things like the flu, or a cold, or anything like that, so I assure you, I won't get sick and I won't die, but thank you for worrying about me."
He chided, informing you factually like you could have possibly known that. you sigh and nuzzle your cold nose back into his damp hair, you sniffed causing him to slightly tense and move back to look at your face.
"are you alright, y/n?"
The way he looked at you with those vibrant emerald eyes, so wide and loving, his cheeks still slightly tinted a light shade of red as his freckles are littered all over his baby like face, you smile and put your forehead to his, closing your eyes making him do the same and sigh.
"I'm okay, but we seriously need to figure out how to get the hell out of here." You say softly, clearing your throat from the scratchiness you could feel, were you getting sick?
"there's a back door that I'm sure they didn't lock. We can skip out though there, do you have your phone on you?"
"oh! Yeah, wh-... fuck me. This whole time I could have called someone to get us out of here." You groan, absolutely disappointed in yourself for not using your shitty brain.
He simply giggles before grabbing your now unlocked phone.
"you must've really wanted to have sex with me, eh?" He tested lightly poking fun at you making you slap his shoulder, another like if laughs leaving him as he calls iida, neither of you expected him to be awake yet he was, his breath was slightly ragged, what had he been doing, maybe out on a run? Doesn't add up too much, it's 10 pm and they have a curfew for 12 am.
Iida had helped you two out, meeting you two at the other exit and giving you clothes to give to izuku, he continuously asked questions on why the two of you weren't in bed and why izuku didn't have any clothes and why you two were even together.
The whole walk back to the dorms was full of iida whisper yelling at the two of you for being irresponsible, you couldn't stop looking at izukus face though, or just him in general, he suddenly became oddly appealing to you, but you still couldn't shake the guilty feeling of the things you and done to him, he glanced at you giving you a warm smile, kissing your head goodnight before turning into his room, taking iida by surprise.
You chuckled and went to your dorm, jumping in your bed and calming it a night, you sighed at the comfortable feeling of your bed, giggling to yourself remembering how izuku came inside of you. Your eyes slowly shut and you drifted off to sleep.

“I don’t expect this to change a thing between us.” (MHA MANGA SPOILERS 322-423)
I think a lot about the fact that, in Katsuki’s apology, he says “I don’t expect this to change a thing between us.” indicating that he accepts the current state of their relationship, that his apology may not be left with a reply, and that he may be the only one who entertains the idea of deepening their bond of rivalry into friendship.
But regardless, he had to speak his truth, and in the future, live by his truth, which is to give Izuku his utmost support.
In the same manner, Izuku had also accepted the current state of their relationship before hearing Katsuki’s apology, judging by how he already felt blessed that he could have a “normal-ish” conversation with him.
And since the JT arc, knowing that Katsuki’s at the center of the “control your heart” issue, it probably solidified that that’s the extent of their bond to him, cause if he indulges in these feelings and make it stronger, being able to control his heart would be increasingly more difficult. So maybe he’d been starting to entertain the idea of being close friends with Katsuki again, but then blackwhip puts his heart on his sleeve, and so his deeper feelings and the yearning he felt for something more were locked away. Katsuki at that point also hadn’t explicitly shown any interest in deepening it anyway, just that he’s committing himself to their rivalry.
But then Katsuki does, throws him a curveball and sacrifices himself for him, then apologizes—calls him his first name “Izuku,” and implies that a “change” is possible between them. It's not expected, but the ball is now in Izuku’s court.
At the moment Izuku couldn’t respond properly since the conditions weren’t ideal. But even after that, when he had the time to broach the the subject to Katsuki, he chooses not to and put a tighter rope on his feelings. He had enough courage to thank his classmates generally, and and also thank Ochaco for her speech, but the apology wasn’t something he feels like he could talk about without revealing too much when he has to hold himself together for the next war. Like a talk could change something fundamental, and take away his attention from the war.
And also, when Katsuki almost makes the mistake of calling him “Deku,” Izuku jumps to say that he doesn’t have to call him that if he can’t, showcasing some of his reluctance to the change, clinging onto the past which at the moment was easier to digest. Katsuki responds to this by saying that he’s not forcing himself, as he will continue to act and speak his truth.
After his apology he makes good on that claim, where he initiates small talks with Izuku even when people surround and can see them, stays by his side as much as he can as a form of emotional support, and continue to be his primary partner in training. And all throughout the second war he commits to his truth even further, taking his self-introspections and sentimentality with pride, and because of it yearns even more intensely.
“So Izuku… can I still catch up with you?” he says as he yearns to be on equal footing with Izuku, in power, in heart, and in their relationship, “Gotta win right… Izuku?” he says as he yearns to be the hero Izuku had always believed him to be, someone who never loses, “That’s Kacchan Bakugou to you!” he says as he becomes the hero Izuku had always seen him as.
As their eyes meet when Katsuki revives, their feelings, as had been said, become one. The feelings of wanting to save All Might, the feelings of wanting to be near and beside each other, and the feelings of wanting to work together to win and save and again be on equal footing are communicated and united. Katsuki’s questions of “Can I catch up to you?” “Gotta win, right?” were answered, as Izuku has outstreched his hand to Katsuki once more and he’d taken it. It’s also the first and only time Izuku really calls for help during the final war, where he usually just lets others help him.
But now the question is if Katsuki’s outstretched hand is something Izuku will take, if Izuku will also speak his truth, as opposed to just showing and acting his truth. It was an invitation to meet in the middle. As Katsuki said “Don’t you dare let me surpass you!” an echo to “Surpass me, become the hero I’d always seen you as—Izuku who’s full of strength and of worth—just make sure to take my hand while you’re on it.

AU where Hisashi calls Izuku regularly while he works overseas and one day Hisashi tells Izuku about his new boyfriend who is very sweet to him and unfortunately got into a bad accident many years ago that left him disabled so Hisashi helps care for him.Izuku later finds out this boyfriend is AFO.
why would you leave inko for afo. 'hold on yeah i think i'll leave this priceless bahia emerald and skip town and then i found a broken piece of chalk instead.' my guy. you deserve all might stealing your son.
1- ok so. Hisashi is an accountant who moves to new york to make more money. He and inko officially divorce, which means Izuku takes the Midoriya name and Inko has sole custody, but while Hisashi does not have to pay child support or alimony, he does opt to send them some support and tries to stay in contact because i guess his taste in men was so bad that he and inko just work better as friends. good for them ig.
2- actually Hisashi is just straight up color-blind: he can't see any red flags. Its not just his personal tastes. this man has worked for four separate blatant money laundering schemes since he went abroad. he has no clue. this is how he ends up coming into contact with AfO, but AfO's job offering is too indirect and vague, and Hisashi is like 'are you... flirting with me?' instead, but AfO can work with that. And while Hisashi certainly isn't a genius with people or warning signs, i will give him (and inko) this: he's a great lay.
3- He's also a very caring boyfriend, which was part of the problem with inko, they ended up really inciting each other's anxieties, but AfO likes being pampered so he decides to keep Hisashi around even if he isn't a employee. even better really, that he doesn't have to pay, bribe, quirkify, dequirkify, or threaten him. Hisashi, as a bit of a doting boyfriend, also has a lot to say about the man to others, so Izuku ends up hearing a lot of gushing over the phone as he's training with weights and is a bit too out of breath to change the topic. plus, he doesn't want to bring up going to UA until its a sure thing, his dad will definitely freak out about it not being safe. finally he tells his dad he got in, and hisashi is like 'oh yeah, cuz they changed the rules, which track?' and izuku goes 'oh uh hero track and alsoihaveaquirknowitscalledsuperpower oh look at that moms calling me for dinner sorry bye.'
4. Dazed, Hisashi gushes about his son to his boyfriend later, dropping that izuku's going to become a hero at ua, what a surprise- but, well, he supposes his son has always loved to watch heroes...
AfO is like 'hm. being a hero isn't very safe...' ('i know...') 'why don't you try to push him to visit you? keep him safe. maybe in a safe. don't you just wanna keep a hold of him?' ("i do, but that'll only drive him away. he's growing up... besides, if i was busy only keeping watch over him, who'd take care of you?") 'mm, good point. keep prioritizing me, i will neither put a hit on the kid as competition nor do anything to keep him safer.'
5. Reveal... uh yeah so Hisashi does mention to Izuku when his boyfriend goes missing, sometimes he gets called to work suddenly but he's never been gone this long, he's worried, is he restocking his meds, where is he? oh yeah, he vanished around Kamino. unfortunate, but not incriminating on its own. What IS incriminating is rewound!AfO, looking at Izuku with a tilted head. "I can see bits of Hisashi in you, hm. Just the worst bits, luckily." Izuku starts realizing what this means. Bakugo distracts him and blasts him to the Shigaraki fight, because he also started to realize what it meant and simply did not want to deal with hearing anymore of that. Over at the ShigarAfO fight, AfO tries to keep throwing Izuku (and tomura) off their game by wondering if Hisashi will find this new, younger body nice as well- probably, its not like the man had the highest standards. Izuku and Tomura are united in such abosolute done-ness with AfO that he's immediately snuffed out of Tomura's head and nothing remains behind. Tomura is like 'uh, do you want a day's break and then a rematch because i need to bleach my brain' but izuku is like 'oh no i need to punch someone through a mountain rn, lets keep going while i reform you with the power of friendship and incredible violence.' (By unspoken agreement, neither Izuku, Bakugo, or Tomura ever breathe a word about it to anyone, much less to Hisashi.)

By the end of the story, I stopped being a bkdk shipper because Hori made it seem so one-sided on Bakugo's side. Does Izuku even care about him or think about him by the end of the story? He seemed to care more for Ochako and even Iida. Meanwhile Bakugo and Izuku didn't even have an actual resolution on anything, never had a decent reciprocated convo and Izuku doesn't even acknowledge anything Bakugo did. In the last chapter, he becomes a very passive character. He doesnt even try to be a hero until the class hands him the suit. He doesnt even have on screen convos with anyone besides AM. Hori's writing was so weak for his character and relationships with others at the end.
I’m sorry you felt that way, I guess? They had a resolution, and I honestly think it was the best one in the series because Hori didn’t have to outright explain it in text for it to have the emotional impact it had.
Their whole thing was fixing their relationship and learning to become heroes who save and win simultaneously, instead of one or the other. Which they did, in narrative terms.
Also things don’t have to be said out loud to just be understood/implied. Deku watching Katsuki cry with tears in his eyes is a sign of care. The way he reacted to seeing Katsuki’s body is a sign of care. Shigaraki calling Katsuki the closest person to him, is proof that people in the story can see their relationship through implication just fine. Also, does the cover to volume 37 just mean nothing?
All of those implications, plus the other implication that Izuku doesn’t like thinking about how he feels when it comes to Katsuki, nor does he like acknowledging it unless he absolutely he has to. It’s not a writing flaw on horikoshis part, it’s an intentional character flaw that never showed signs of having development, because its development wouldn’t have been important to the overall story. It’s just something we’re supposed to notice and it’s made decently obvious that this is the case considering DvK2 and his vigilante arc, the latter especially.
When Katsuki being stabbed actually happened, you can tell it affected Izuku way more than Aizawa and Torinos injuries and he literally almost died cuz of his reaction to it, yet he pushes it to the back of his mind when he leaves UA after writing a letter to Katsuki that was different than everyone else’s. Or after Katsuki apologized, we get no internal thoughts about him like we did for the rest of the class when the retrieval arc happened, yet Izuku ends up stumbling and falling into Katsuki’s arms as opposed to literally anyone else’s. Not to mentions the fourth episode of the memories recap in the anime, solidifying this theory by giving him PTSD about Katsuki being stabbed. Also:
It’s said in text… “…somewhere deep inside…” meaning it’s intentionally not on the forefront of his mind. Also I think the 1:1 translation to this scene, he described his feelings as “gross,” meaning he’s somewhat ashamed of them.
Also is Izuku supposed to just not care about his other friends? Iida and Ochako were literally his first real friends, of course Hori is gonna highlight them in the end.
Izuku is passive in the end, because he’s always been a passive character. It’s just apart of his personality. And he doesn’t try to be a hero for several years, because wtf is he supposed to do? In the society they live in, you really can’t fight criminals without a quirk unless you fight hand to hand, which won’t work against people with quirks who don’t care about fighting fair. It’s not like he could’ve gotten his own suit on a teachers salary. He doesn’t try because he just accepts and appreciates that it was a short lived dream that he got the chance to actually live.
There’s less focus on Izuku’s development and his relationships with the people around him, because Izuku’s the only character that didn’t “need” development because he’s already a “perfect hero” by Japanese standards. He’s kind, driven, respectful, and sacrificial. The only development he has and needed for the sake of the story was trying to be more confident in himself, and letting himself accept help from others. Everything other flaw, is purely personal to him. Other characters bring up his flaws to him in the story, but no one can make him consider changing those flaws except for him, because those flaws only affect him, and his biggest flaw is that he literally does not take himself into account for anything. He doesn’t care about making himself happy. It is literally purposeful.
Now, I think the epilogue in general was just rushed and I do wish he was able to having meaningful conversations with more characters, like todoroki and his mother, but I don’t think those open doors lessened the integrity of the entire frame. I do wish he had a conversation with Katsuki, but I also understand that it wasn’t really needed either. It’s not a slice of life, after all. The only thing I think we didn’t get the best conclusion on, is bkdks handhold.
Also saying Izuku doesn’t care about Katsuki is such a weird take ajdnejdn
THAT. IS. SO. FUNNY!!
#bakudeku#bnha#bkdk#bakugou katsuki#midoriya izuku#ask puff#puff speaks#puff answers#if this seemed passive aggressive#it’s cuz it was#because anon didn’t really ask me anything#it just feels like they came into my inbox to complain and try to convince me to agree with them

The heart of the barbarian King
<---Previous
Chapter 2
Izuku doesn't have much time to worry about Katsuki; the King of the barbarians is brutal and very efficient when he fights.
Besides, the omega can see clearly that Chisaki is cheating; he's trying to hit the other alpha even though the fight it was supposed to be about throwing the other person to the ground.
As the effect of the potion slowly wears off, Izuku feels the need to help Katsuki (even though he clearly doesn't need to), but he knows he can't because that'd probably be breaking a couple of rules.
"It's alright, Midoriya. He's a lot tougher than that," Kirishima startles him a bit, getting closer to where he is.
However, the omega has decided that he trusts that alpha too; he even smells like he's mated to someone already.
"Yeah, I know Kacchan will win."
Kirishima chuckles.
"I forgot you used to call him that."
"How do you know that?" The omega blushes to the tip of his ears, already regretting using that same childhood nickname... Katsuki is a king now, Izuku shouldn't address him so informally.
"He talks about you a lot."
He does?
"I'm really glad destiny helped him find you again," the alpha with red hair mumbles sincerely, showing him his very sharp teeth as he smiles at Izuku.
When the omega tries to process what he's been told, they hear a grunt and realize that Chisaki just broke one of the rules and made a cut on Katsuki's shoulder with a knife.
"Kacchan!" Izuku tries to get closer, but Kirishima stops him by putting a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you for giving me enough reasons to banish you," Katsuki smirks before grabbing the other's hand and twisting it in such a painful way, Chisaki doesn't have any other choice but throwing the knife.
"I don't care! I'll be leaving with my ome–"
He gets kicked in the face so hard he passes out before falling to the ground.
"Kacchan!" The omega beams before jumping into the King's arm. "You won!"
"I always win, nerd! You know that!"
Izuku chuckles in response, feeling the alpha nuzzling against his cheek; a couple of memories come right at him... of a blond kid constantly calling him nerd and rubbing their noses together every time they played.
"Kacchan, let me see your arm."
"It's just a scratch, nerd. I'll be fine!" Katsuki takes the omega by the waist and helps him up on the horse; his cheeks turn pink when he notices Izuku has freckles on his thighs too or maybe he's just staring at the omega's exposed legs in general. "You'll ride with me."
When he jumps on the horse too, he looks at his friend again, who's watching their interactions with an amused smile on his face.
"Kirishima, made sure that scumbag leaves for good. I don't want him back in our kingdom," he growls, quickly looking back at the other barbarians under Chisaki's orders. "And you, you either follow him or come back... I don't give a fuck! Just make your choice!"
Izuku had no idea the barbarian kingdom was not that far away from where they were. The people in the small houses get out or just open their windows as soon as they hear the horse.
Everyone seems to be happy to see the King and very curious when they finally notice the green haired omega riding with him.
Katsuki stops halfway to the base of the mountain, hops off and grabs Izuku by the waist to help him down.
"Horses only get so far," he says with a smile. "I don't blame them because my house is close to the mountain where my dragon lives."
"Do you have a dragon? Kacchan, that's so cool!" The omega beams again, this time with sparks in his eyes. The prospect of seeing a dragon up close has made him forget a bit of his awful week.
"Aren't you scared of dragons? Like everyone else?"
Izuku shakes his head.
"I've always wanted to see one!" He admits. "And perhaps get to draw them and take a couple of notes in order to understand their behavior better."
"Such a nerd," the alpha snorts, staring at him fondly. "Well, I'll introduce you to Dynamight tomorrow because he's probably away at the moment, hunting."
Tomorrow... right, he can't leave the barbarians now. Although Izuku is not sure how to feel about that at the moment; he's glad to have found Katsuki again, but he misses his mentor.
"Now," Katsuki clears his throat, rubbing the back of his neck as he looks away from Izuku. "This... Uhh, you look really good with those, but you can choose what you want to wear. You could wear something like this instead, if that makes you feel uncomfortable."
Izuku supposes that he's talking about everything he's wearing besides the red cape over his shoulders. Katsuki doesn't have anything to cover his chest, which is kinda distracting if the omega is being honest. However, he wears pants, dark boots, and a belt.
"I'd rather wear something like yours," Izuku says after a while. "But I'd like to keep the top."
Katsuki nods, already leading him to a street full of red tents, which Izuku guesses it's kinda the town's market.
"I can buy you a couple of pretty tops like that one," the alpha says. "And a few pants."
"You don't have to–"
"Shut up, nerd! It's not like you have money on you. Besides, I don't mind."
Izuku closes his eyes for a second, thanking the gods for having put Katsuki on his path again.
"Thank you, Kacchan."
They get to a tent where a small woman is arranging a lot of clothes on piles, they all look in perfect condition.
"My King!" The woman bows as soon as she notices the alpha. "How can I help you today?"
"We need clothes for him," he mumbles, tilting his head in Izuku's direction.
As soon as the woman's honey eyes land on the omega, she grins from ear to ear before looking back at the barbarian King.
"Oh, I thought this would never happen. Congratulations, my lord. This is the most beautiful omega I've ever seen!"
Izuku blushes to the tip of his ears, ready to say something... anything to clear up the misunderstanding, but Katsuki only makes it worse.
"I know, right?" He says, looking incredibly smug.
"Kacchan!"
"What's your name, sweetie?"
"Midoriya Izuku," the omega mumbles, still flustered.
"And what are you looking for, Midoriya?"
For a moment, the omega thinks the woman is asking a completely different thing, but that's ridiculous, she's obviously talking about clothes.
"Actually, I saw a few people outside wearing long skirts with side slits, can I have a couple of those?" He whispers shyly. Izuku knows he's not in a position to ask for things because he's basically an intruder, but he has always liked pretty clothes. "Is that okay, Kacchan?"
The barbarian King seems lost in his own thoughts for a moment, then he blinks and nods, turning slightly pink.
"Of course, Izuku. You can have whatever the fuck you want."
"Thank you!"
For some reason, the woman chuckles, watching the two of them with amusement.
***
Katsuki's house is clearly bigger than the others, but it's still just a house, and Izuku is very glad about that; he's not sure he can deal with a full castle at the moment, his excited energy ran out a few hours ago when he started gushing about the dragon.
"It's just me here. So you can choose whatever room you like except the one at the end of the hallway, that's mine."
"Where do your parents live?"
"They... don't anymore."
"I'm so sorry, Kacchan." Following his instincts, Izuku decides that it's okay to hug his childhood friend, even though they haven't seen each for years.
"It's alright, nerd," the alpha sighs, nuzzling against Izuku's cheek. "It was a while ago."
"My mom died years ago too," he whispers, feeling the strong hands around his waist pulling him closer.
"I'm sorry." It looks like the barbarian wants to say something else, but Izuku notices the cut on his arm again.
"Let me help you with that! Do you have a cloth or something like that?"
After a few minutes, they're sitting at the table next to the fireplace; Izuku has a bucket of warm water at his feet and he leans to pull the wet cloth out before calmly cleaning Katsuki's wound.
"It's just a scratch," the alpha assures him, but he doesn't move away.
He's right, it's just a superficial wound, nothing to worry about.
"Thank you for saving me, Kacchan," the omega smiles, genuinely grateful. His life would have been miserable with Chisaki.
For a moment, it looks like the alpha is going to make a dismissive gesture, but he stops before leaning closer until their foreheads are touching.
"You're under my protection now, Izuku. I won't let anyone hurt you."
"You're very kind, Kacchan!"
"I'm not kind!"
Izuku chuckles at his reaction because he knows deep down Katsuki liked being called kind, judging by the way his scent changes into something more sweet.
Katsuki makes him something to eat; it's cooked meat with bread and cheese.
"Here, nerd, taste this."
For a moment, Izuku wants to tell him that there's no need to feed him, he doesn't feel that weak anymore. But Katsuki's cheek are pink and his red eyes are glimmering with focus and joy, like it's something important to him.
Maybe it's a barbarian custom to feed a guest or something like that. Izuku makes a mental note to ask Katsuki a book on barbarian traditions later.
He takes a bite from the cheese and bread Katsuki is offering him, and watches as the King's face turns even more pink.
But he's grinning now.
"It's really good! Thank you, Kacchan!"
After that bite, he lets Izuku eat on his own; when he prepares his own dish too, the omega wonders if he should do the same.
When he notices that the alpha is not eating anything, Izuku thinks that maybe he's waiting for him to do something.
"Listen, Izuku... I saw my parents do this for so long that I just did it without–"
"It's alright, Kacchan!" If it's one of his customs, Izuku will gladly do it. He'll probably be living among barbarians for the rest of his life, so it's the least he can do.
He cuts a piece of meat and offers it to Katsuki, who blushes even more, but he takes a bite anyway, looking very pleased.
After that, they eat next to each other in silence. For a moment, Izuku feels at peace.
He can get used to this.
***
Katsuki heats a couple of buckets of water so Izuku can take a bath in the washroom downstairs. The alpha must have such a good heart to do all those things for someone who hasn't seen in years.
They're basically strangers to each other now.
When he's done and he's wearing his new skirt and top, he rushes to where the King is to show him.
"Thank you! They look really cute!"
Katsuki blinks a couple of times before turning completely red again. He's been blushing a lot, maybe he's getting sick.
"Izuku, can I scent you?"
Even the omega thinks that's a good idea; sometimes, it helps bring people closer together. Maybe that way he can be friends with Katsuki again.
"Of course, Kacchan!"
The alpha takes a deep breath before moving closer to the omega; he puts his arms around him before leaning forward. He has to bend down a bit because he's way taller than Izuku.
As a nose rubs against his neck, Izuku smells the delicious scent of burnt caramel, filling his nostrils.
Katsuki moves away a bit, looking quite pleased before exposing his neck too. He even pushes a couple of necklaces out of the way to make it easier for the omega.
Izuku sighs happily, nuzzling against the alpha's neck. Katsuki lets out a very pleased alpha purr.
"You should go sleep for a while now. I know the last days haven't been easy for you."
"You're right, Kacchan. I think I should rest..."
He falls asleep right in the alpha's arms, still standing, but when he wakes up, he's on a bed on his own.
He cries a bit after everything that happened to him comes back like a long, very exhausting memory.
Even though he knows he's lucky to have found Katsuki again, he still misses All Might.
He'd like to see him at least one more time.

Something about Izuku I keep thinking about is how much he's a downright hypocrite and the only reason he isn't called out on it is because he's one for himself and not for others and at the core of it all it boils down to his pending childhood issues and the *vaguely gestures* "relationship" he and Katsuki have- I mean, just out of the top of my head:
Wants to be a strong and dependable hero but is at his weakest when he's alone.
Says to Himiko he would never hurt someone he loves but was the reason Katsuki was forced to dance with death until his own sacrifice. Hell, I'm expecting him to actually accidentally hurt Katsuki (Physically? Emotionally? You decide) next time they talk.
Wants to save people with a smile but barely cracked genuine ones during his battle with Tenko- I can think of two(?), and even then those felt more like a resignation (379 and 412 iirc) than actual smiles.
Being aware Kacchan's a jackass, fine, but the entire "Imitate the people you love/admire" themes, having an attitude when heated or absolutely Done with anyone's BS (makes sense for someone who grew up besides a kid in the Inferiority-Superiority Complex but still) and "This is a battle between All For One and One For All, you can't keep up" is still very much pot calling the kettle black (it's because his "arrogance" is rooted in selflessness and desire to be useful but that's for another day)
Deadass called All For One out for being a lonely man pretending to be a "Demon Lord" yet will not admit he himself thinks a he's just a lonely kid pretending to be a hero; and by the time he seemed to be growing out of it: Paranormal Liberation Front.
"IT'S YOUR POWER, ISN'T IT?!" Cool, nice of him to comfort Shoto and try the same with Touya, now if only he could do the same in regards to himself and OFA-
Wasn't able to connect with Tenko at all and that's why he failed but it's wild to me he'd still the one who even at surface level could relate to):
Spinner, because they're nerds who were ostracized based on Quirks/lack thereof looking for a purpose and were unable to help him because of AFO's interference;
Himiko, because they want to be like others (because they hate themselves at least a little bit) but also show love in a way others wouldn't accept and;
Touya, because they wanted to prove they could be useful to others and be heroes to the point of actively harmed themselves while using their own Quirk.
Hell, when you think about it he related to the crying child but he could've used Literally Anything from his relationship with Katsuki to try and reach Tenko, but of course he didn't, that means he'd have to think about his own issues and yet he saw Tenko's issues no wonder he didn't get the job done-
Also can we talk about him saying he relates to Ochako confronting Himiko but she actually succeeded- Or even Shoto wanting to forgive Endeavor; I keep recalling both Ch. 322 him saying he won't forgive Tenko for anything he did (understandable but still) and Tenko going "And I won't forgive anyone". Connecting these three instances are huge stretches, I know, but really, he hasn't addressed the apology he got- combined narrative punishments for empty platitudes.
Kept saying he needed to improve in his control with OFA: had to get beaten up during his internship and in the Summer Camp for that lesson to stick... Then he heard the words "Control Your Heart" and decided to Not Address It At All.
Supposed to surpass but he's really All Might's successor in every way that counts: Smile so nobody will worry, keep fighting even though you are destroying yourself, be so selfless you'll make your friends desperate enough to make you stop for your own good, hide every single thing you can about yourself, the only difference is in the bed they made: Toshinori lies in omission most of the time, and Izuku thinks he lies in white when almost every other character's in the dark, but as long as there's a dream of bright smiles in the future, who cares they're now forcefully entangled in this nightmare, right?
And these are just the examples I can think of the top of my head, there might be more, but. No wonder we've been "panicking" (let's be real his therapist already scheduled him for Ground Beta atp-) Shoto and Ochako brushed him off by accident in Chapter 425, it's the consequences of his hypocritical ass coming back to bite him-
(I am not hating on him, by the way, it's just something about him I wanted to point out. I like that aspect of his. Makes him more human. But jeez can someone call him out and make him practice what he preaches? XD)
#Boku no Hero Academia#Midoriya Izuku#BNHA spoilers#MHA spoilers#spider.posts#i could go on and on about Izuku looking like a lawful goody-two-shoes but really being more chaotic good than most of his friends#but because no one pays attention- unfortunate consequence of his selflessness he comes across as a perfect heroic figure#to the point he comes off as borderline preachy because he's on little miss perfect mode and (only one person can notice it (we know who))#and it builds because no one else sees him breaking 'till he's reaching the cliff's edge until he's steps away from swan diving#if he acknowleged he's like any of the LoV it means he has problems and he can't have them otherwise he's that useless kid from years ago#The consequences of him putting the Hero Deku mask and ignoring the Child Deku from before no wonder he lost his innocence#It's a Spider-Man complex: anyone can wear the mask but the mask by itself means nothing without the human behind it. a costume at best#he emulated his heroes down to the flaws and lost track of his origins like AM lost himself in the SoP and Katsuki was lost in his complex#yeah he needed to suffer that loss as big and. controversial as it is. If he can't have both now he's worse than useless-#an extra in his own story if you will- the same as his heroes but walking in reverse until he's questioning his role own in his story#Midoriya Izuku the character that you are-

I’ve drawn some inspiration from Yuzuya’s Fantasy series as well but this story is entirely different. If you haven’t checked out their audio series, seriously please do! I hope you all enjoy the first chapter of this adventure ♥︎
• Word Count: 3,200ish
The city of Spirefall stood tall on the horizon. To most people it was the shining gem of the entire country. But, to Katsuki, the place filled him to dread and anger as it loomed before them. He really didn’t want to get any closer, that was why he insisted on camping a few miles out, where they still had the forest for cover.
“I still don’t like this,” The Dragon Kin Prince grumbled his opinion for the umpteenth time since they woke up less than an hour ago. Most of his breakfast was still sizzling on his plate, untouched since he had no desire to take even a single bite.
“Yeah, but, we don’t have a better plan either.” Izuku brought up, “The library is at the city center. I’m certain they’ll have some useful information for us there.”
“Your stupid library didn’t…” Katsuki quipped right back.
Izuku just narrowed his eyes at one of his oldest friends. “My very small and woefully short supplied library doesn’t hold records and journals from ages past.” He had to remind the heir yet again.
From the time he was able to read, Izuku adored going to the small little library that was established just on the outskirts of his town. He’d go with his mother and come back with piles and piles of books and then go back the next day to do it all over again. As soon as he was old enough to seek an apprenticeship there, he had, and now he’d worked up to being a senior librarian, one of the highest titles someone could achieve.
“But, why couldn’t we have just put in a request to have the books sent to us like we have before!”
“Haven’t we been over this like 10 times since last night!”
The group looked over towards the irritable metallic dragon, lounging while he finished his second helping of food. The remark caused him to be whacked by a faded black to crimson wing belonging to the dragon he called brother.
“What Ei! You know I’m right!”
Eijiro shook his head and explained to the Prince, “You know how long it took us to walk here. It would’ve taken them twice that time to get the texts to us, and even then, we can only request so many at a time. We’ve been looking for the Opals for so damn long now. Just go into the city, hope to the Ancients they have some knowledge we don’t, and then get out.”
Even with all of the logic they placed in front of him, Prince Katsuki still hated going to the city that was responsible for slaughtering so many dragons, so many dragonkin too. He was just supposed to walk into their immaculate city and act like they weren’t a lot of murderers?
It’ll be fine, Katsuki.
Eijiro sent the words through their bond just for him to hear. It’d been a trick they could do ever since they took the oath and had their skin marked at the ages of 18. Beautiful swirls and designs in ink marked the journey they’ve taken together so far. It linked them to each other, a sworn promise to always protect and stand beside the other.
Mental communication wasn’t the only benefit to the marks though. They could also sense the other’s emotions, feel what they were feeling even when they were miles apart. And if they were miles apart, lost on their own, the bond always would lead them back to each other. So long as the other lived, they’d be tied together.
“Fine. C’mon, let’s get this over with.”
He cast his plate of food aside and pretended not to notice when Tetsu’s silver claws snatched it right up. Izuku shoveled the last of his breakfast into his mouth while gathering up his pack because Katsuki was already heading out of the glen, and Izuku would be left behind if he didn’t get a move on.
“What kind of city doesn’t allow weapons?” Katsuki grumbled as they walked past the checkpoint. He felt naked without his swords at his side. Luckily, if they really needed it, he could still use hand to hand or magic but that really wasn’t allowed here either.
“I know it doesn’t make sense to you, but the center of Spire has always been this way.” Izuku couldn’t go on too long of a history lesson because he knew the Prince would merely tune him out. “Out in the residential areas, people are allowed to use them with restrictions to protect their property but within the center, the city guards are expected to protect the market and the people here.”
“You mean those guards?”
Izuku looked off in the direction of the blonde’s scowl. Two guards were at the mouth of an alley, playing a dice game on a stack of crates, not paying a single bit of attention to what was going on around them.
All Izuku could do was shake his head and nudge Katsuki in the right direction. “Let’s just go, the library is this way.”
As much as he didn’t want to admit it, the city itself wasn’t bad. There were people selling food out of small stalls and he knew the dragon’s would be losing their minds if they were here, visiting each and every one of them. But, there were plenty of other shops around too, ones for reagents and gear, metal working, some jewelers, and so many clothing stores that he lost count!
Still, that bead of hate in his chest remained… a city that took so much from his people thrived this much and that made him feel ill.
Before he knew it though, they were walking up a massive set of marble stairs and through grand doors with golden swirled inlays. “So, where the hell do we start?”
“Well, the books written about the Opals themselves would probably be just in your generic information sections–”
“Yeah, but, we don’t need the generic shit. We got plenty of that information already.”
Izuku just rolled his eyes and went on. “Which is why I believe we should start in the lower levels where the personal records are stored.” He tapped his own notebook where he’d been gathering information about travelers and researchers who might have spotted them. “We’ve got a couple names, with any luck, a few of their journals might’ve found their way here.”
“Great, let's hurry it up.”
Together the two of them headed straight for the stairs only to be stopped before they could actually reach them. “Excuse me,” A woman grabbed their attention, “I’m sorry but you’re not able to go into the archives without an appointment and prior authorization from a senior librarian. Do you have an appointment?”
Katsuki went to open his mouth but Izuku spoke first. “We don’t but I do have this.” He pulled out his own credentials and hoped they’d do the trick.
“Oh, you’re from a sister branch! And not a close one either.”
He chuckled softly. “No, not close at all. I wasn’t aware you needed to make appointments at the main branch.”
“It’s just because we tend to get busy and sometimes we don’t have enough staff to escort people.” She looked around, “But, since it’s a slow day, I’m happy to help a fellow senior!” She led the way, beckoning them both to follow her down.
“So, what exactly are the two of you looking for? I assume it’s something specific since you’ve traveled such a long way.”
“We’re looking for information on some dragons.” Izuku answered bluntly.
There were quite a few different ways this stranger could’ve reacted but, considering the city they were in, neither Izuku or Katsuki expected her to spin around with narrowed brows and question, “Why?”
“None of your damn business.” Katsuki retorted. “We need information on the Opal Clan. Do you got it or not?”
Her arms folded in front of her and Izuku almost took a step back. “I asked, ‘why’. Tell me and I’ll let you know what, if any, information I possess.”
Katsuki could feel his blood beginning to boil and he started pushing up his sleeves before he thought better of it. He had another remark ready to go, right on the tip of his tongue, when the woman turned back around with a curt, “fine,” and led the pair further into the belly of the library.
Both men quickly realized they wouldn’t have gotten far at all with this woman’s help anyway. This library had far more security measures than Izuku’s. Magic in place around every corner.
It was quiet as she used a wand to dispel charms and wards to get them where they needed to go but finally, they reached a room that only bathed itself in light upon entering it. “Hopefully we can find what you need in here.”
The Prince’s eyes were bleary from looking at so many journals and scrolls. He swore the dark ink on well worn pages was blurring together even though the librarian and Izuku seemed to be having no trouble at all keeping on.
“Your glasses are in my bag.” Izuku gently reminded him after noticing the way he pushed the heel of his palm further into his eye socket. But, he merely grumbled something about not needing them and held up yet another journal.
He didn’t get very far though before the scratching of quill to paper had his eyes glancing up at the librarian. She’d been busy like this since they’d told her exactly what they were looking for. He still couldn’t figure out what made her change her mind but he wasn’t about to complain. Not when she’d laid out a handful of nesting locations they could check as well as drew them maps detailing how to get to each of them.
“How do you know all about this stuff?” He asked after watching her outline a mountain range.
“I read.” Her answers had been short ever since he’d snapped at her and if he was being honest, he was getting more than a little sick of it.
“Were the dragon’s your area of study to get your senior title?” She nodded her head when Izuku asked. “I see. Mine covered the various sources of magic.”
“So, I’m assuming you did a fair amount of draconic research too.”
“I did.” Izuku smiled broadly. “Obviously not as detailed as you. I just know where a few clans can typically be found but the magic they possess I’m pretty well versed in.”
The two went back and forth. Sharing little bits of information they’d gathered over their years of study. Katsuki sat back and observed. Learned what personal details she let slip about herself.
She’s never left the city of Spirefall, she was raised in the library, everything she’s learned has been from the books and people who drop them off. Woman must’ve been like a damn sponge to retain this much information… even more so than Izuku himself.
He let Izuku do damn near all the talking with her but, eventually, he couldn’t keep the singular question in any longer. “Why?” He breathed.
“Pardon?”
“Why?” This time it had a little more acid to it. “Spirefall… this place you call home, is responsible for so much murder and destruction of dragon kind. So, why study them? Why do you care? Are you feeding information to the hunters? Because we’re not them! We’re not gonna take this information and–”
“Kacchan!” Izuku finally cut him off, “I’m so sorry–”
The librarian just held up a hand. “If I thought you were going to do anything to harm the dragons, I wouldn’t have allowed you down here in the first place.”
“So, you’re just that trusting then, huh?”
“Absolutely not.” She shook her head up then glanced at his arm that was still covered. “I saw what you’re hiding under that sleeve. I’ve never seen one in person but I’ve seen plenty of drawings to know what a life bond looks like when I see one. Your intent must be pure or you wouldn’t have it in the first place.” Her eyes met his then, “you were also smart enough not to bring them into the city with you. That alone shows me how much you care and it is why you’re here rather than thrown out on your ass.”
Izuku’s eyes went wide, his mouth opening and closing trying to figure out something he could say to calm what he was sure would be an irate Katsuki but the blonde was just as stupefied. His friends were the only people able to get away with speaking to him so candidly and even then they usually got an earful but right now, Katsuki was stunned silent.
“I suppose just because you are friends with a librarian doesn’t mean you understand what it means to actually be one, so, allow me to explain it clearly for you: We uphold history and truth, we are protectors of knowledge, and always seek to learn more and expand what we already know.” Her voice dropped to a whisper even though there was no one else in the room to hear her words. “We keep history that certain Emperors would see destroyed if it ever saw the light of day. We are few though, our voices are silenced if we ever try sharing what we know. So, we keep history safe, until there is a day when the truth will actually be heard and believed rather than dismissed by small minded men filled with generations of hate.”
Katsuki didn’t know what to say. Words were trapped in his throat.
“Does that mean proof of the rogue dragon faction really does exist?” Izuku asked just as quietly. “If it does, dragon kind could be exonerated of all these horrible accusations. The Obsidians would no longer be blamed for the slaughter of the original royal–”
“It wouldn’t matter.” Katsuki said quietly when he found his voice again.
“What?! It would prove their innocence. They could fly without fear!”
“Keep your damn voice down.” He hissed and smacked the back of his friend's head. “You know as well as I do the dragon’s tried clearing themselves ages ago when the assassination first happened and plenty of people and places believed them. There are cities and nations where they’re safe. Just not within the lands the Flame Emperor rules… He built his empire on rage and it runs on revenge. It’s rooted so deep that he’d rather destroy proof of innocence than admit he was wrong.”
The librarian nodded her head and Katsuki understood then that she too knew what it was like to live with a truth that no one wanted to hear let alone believe.
“It’s safe here though, yes? Whatever this proof is?” He asked her.
For the first time, she gave him a small smile, “I never said it was here but, yes, it’s safe.”
Katsuki thought a lot about that librarian even after they’d left the city with Izuku’s bag now teeming with new information.
He was quiet the whole way back to camp wondering how many people have tried getting information about the dragons and how many of them she kicked out on their asses, as she so kindly put it. He still didn’t really trust her and he hated Spirefall and the Emperor who called it home. But, it was refreshing to know there was at least someone they could turn to in the city if needed.
She welcomed them back any time, so long as their dragon comrades never stepped foot in the city, and he assured her that would never happen. And, technically, it hadn’t.
When he’d returned to the city later that night in hopes of gaining more information regarding some other clans Katsuki never expected he’d find you cornered by a group of hunters. Just outside the library, belongings scattered on the floor while they pulled and tore at your clothing, not a guard in sight, big surprise.
Having his sword would’ve been ideal but he’d been in a brawl or two, and he had no trouble showing these useless skin sacks what sparring with dragons on a regular basis taught him.
He had one by the hood of his cloak, yanking him backwards hard and fast, tripping him to the ground and elbowing his brow before he could stand back up. One of his comrades turned but Katsuki ducked low and simply flipped them over his shoulder and stomped on their chest for good measure, grabbing your arm before the third fully realized what the hell was going on. Of course, when they did, they only screamed for the guards who suddenly came running.
“Why the hells are they chasing us! You were the one getting attacked!”
“Hunters are basically honorary guards here. They’re well respected. It’ll be my word against theirs and mine will lose!” She explained while running alongside him, “You need to leave before you’re captured.”
He felt her try and pull away but his grip was too strong as he pulled her along. “What will happen to you?”
“Don’t worry about that!”
That answer wasn’t good enough for Katsuki though.
The fire was still going but everyone else at camp was calming down for the night, Eijiro included. He’d been laying out his bed roll when the baby hairs on the back of his neck rose and he felt a wave of panic throughout his whole body.
“It’s Kacchan, isn’t it?” Izuku noticed the redhead go deathly still.
“He’s in trouble… everyone needs to get in the forest, now, I’m going after him!” He was already yanking his shirt over his head.
“Eijiro! Let one of us go!”
“You won’t get there fast enough!” And neither would he unless he transformed.
Any plan would’ve been smarter than him transforming and flying to the city that would have him killed on sight. Even Tet or Mina would’ve stood a better chance but they wouldn’t be able to locate Katsuki like he could. He couldn’t risk it.
He let his wings unfurl and shook the trees around him as he took off, sailing low for the time being and trusting Katsuki would find a way to get to his location. The water was calm and he was thankful no one was on it. He waited silently until he heard explosions and yelling from the city above and then he shot himself upward just as Katsuki flung himself over the cliffside with someone he didn’t know. He felt them both land and then took off faster than he’d ever flown as projectiles were hurled at them.
Katsuki let his own magic fly along with colorful swears and he felt the other body clinging to his spines for dear life. But less than a minute later, they were well out of range. Out of sight too. Safe for now.

Delicate Beauty
In fact, Izuku never returned to class. He instead went home which didn't go unnoticed by Shota and his friends as well as one other. Everyone else didn't really care as they didn't know him that well.
Still, F/n was concerned for him. His outburst caused her to rethink everything. Why was he upset? She had noticed that he had tears and his cheeks were pink. But why?
Was it because of her and Shoto? She should have been mindful and figured that maybe Izuku doesn't do well being around a lot of people. He has mentioned that before.
She felt bad as she now realized the issue she caused.
When the school bell rang, indicating it was time to go home, she quickly grabbed her bag as well as Izuku's. Her friends however stopped her.
Shoto still felt flustered from their kiss. He knew it was an accident but he hoped this wouldn't make their friendship awkward. He also happened to notice her carrying Izuku's bag, "You're heading to his home?"
Thankfully, there was no awkward tension. She nodded in concern, "I feel bad. He's mentioned he doesn't do good around many people. He must've had an anxiety attack."
"Oh, no." Ochaco worryingly said and then perked up, "I can go with you! If he's not feeling well we can bring him something."
"That is very nice, Ochaco." Tenya then looked at F/n, "Do you happen to know his address?"
She stared at Ochaco for a while before giving her attention to her navy-haired friend, "I was thinking about calling or texting him."
"I'm sure Mr. Aizawa has his address." Tenya then added, fixing his school bag strap.
"Do you want us to accompany you?" Shoto asked.
"Uh..we'll." F/n looked at each of her friends. She didn't think Izuku would be fine with having a few people in his place. Besides, she had a nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach that bringing them would cause unspeakable things, "It's okay. I'll go alone."
All excitement left as Ochaco gave her friend a look, "Okay, bye."
"Make sure to let us know if he's doing better." Tenya said as he shortly followed after her.
Shoto lingered for a while before saying his goodbyes, "My moms visiting tomorrow. She wants to know if you can come by for dinner."
She smiled at him, "Yep! I'll be there."
With that she was alone and she began to grab Izuku's notebook. Shota has already left so asking him for her friend's address is a no go.
When she opened his bag, she was surprised at how many notebooks there were. There was even a f/c notebook that caught her eye. She was a little curious to see what he had written down, but she knew it was disrespectful to go through other people's belongings.
She peacefully walked towards Izuku's home. She had texted him and he instantly replied his home address. It was fairly close to her own home, but the walk would be a little longer.
She found it strange how the streets were completely empty. No sign of humans or animals. It deeply disturbed her but she continued onward and just hoped that everyone was in their homes. She would refuse for her mind to go crazy.
And it didn't make it feel any better that the night of the carnival she felt like someone was watching her. They're were plenty of people walking by but it seemed that the person only had eyes for her. It even followed her to her home. She had to stay awake all night as the feeling scared her.
Before she headed to Izuku's home. She had stopped by the convenience store to buy him a snack. A way of apologizing to him for how inconsiderate she was. She hoped he liked the flower shaped candy.
She arrived and stared at his apartment door. From the outside, it was quiet. She wondered if his mother was home when she knocked.
It was quiet for a few seconds before the door opened. The same gut feeling returned as the door opened wide.
It was Inko. She smiled at the girl, "Oh, hello! You must be F/n, correct? Izuku talks a lot about you. Please, come in."
He does? She returned the gesture and stepped inside, "Yes, is Izuku here? I have his bag."
She nodded and then knocked on his bedroom door, "Izuku, F/n's here."
The door quickly opened and Izuku pulled F/n inside, startling both women. He then closed the door behind him, "I'm so glad you're here!"
F/n awkwardly looked around, his room was empty except for the desk and bed. It was also a little chilly which didn't go unnoticed by the male. She then gestured to his bag and placed it on his desk, "I came to drop this off. You never returned to class."
Izuku only stared at her. She then pulled out the candy and handed it to him, "I wanted to say I'm sorry. I was being really inconsiderate about you and so I felt bad. I hope you can forgive me."
His eyes widened and shined as he gently grabbed the flower shaped candy. She acknowledged her mistake and apologized. She knew kissing Shoto was bad and she apologized? Oh, how his heart was beating with life.
"Of course I forgive you!" He widely smiled in happiness. He then hugged her, digging his face in her hair, "I'm so glad you apologized."
Okay, this wasn't exactly how she imagined this would go. She didn't move the male and instead only stood there. She felt really uncomfortable. Her heart was racing, her palms were sweaty and she felt a little lightheaded.
Also...was Izuku sniffing her hair?
She let out an uncomfortable smile and tried to move him, "I-Izuku...Umm."
He perked up, his hands never leaving her arms as he stared at her e/c eyes, "That's right I forgot! You're cold."
She let out a sound as he yanked her to his bed and threw the covers on her. He then sat next to her.
She was deeply, deeply disturbed. She tried hard not to maintain eye contact as she had a feeling that Izuku was already looking at her, waiting for her to give her his attention.
"Ḟ̴̵̸̷̷̶̴̡̛͕̗̰̞̭̗͍̬̠̖̱͈̬̹̮̙͙̬͕̗̮̤̦͈͔͈̖͉̞̩͓̮̠͖̦͈́͛́́̂͂̽͌̔̾̋͌͊͆̽̉͌̓̌̎̀̔̇͂̊̓̄͑͗͂̊̚̕͝͠ͅͅͅ/̶̷̴̴̷̷̴̶̵̸̷̶̶̶̡̧̨̨̨̨̡̛̦͎͇͔̼̣̳͔̟̺͓̗͍͉̲͇̮̭̻̙̗͚̩̭̙̥̲̠̲̲̬̰̲̹̭̫̪̗͚̠̩̙̙̟̹͍̫͎̝̟̠͕̠͉̻̗̈̋̂̒̿̂͆̄́̔̋̏̔͐͊͛͌̿̄̌͒̂̋̈́͌́̌̑̌̈́̀̉̿̐̎̔̋̃̍̅̍͛͒̀̌̒͑̃̏̉̉̎͑̈́͛̀̀̽̐͑̒͒̀́̀̈́͊̇̉͋͒̎́͐̋̋͑̚̚͘̚̚͘̕͜͝͝͝͝͝͠͝͝͝ͅͅň̶̵̶̶̴̵̷̶̵̵̸̷̵̶̴̴̶̵̵̨̢̧̢̡̧̢̨̛̖͙͉̜̯̼̮͎̬͕͔̦̮̰̣̞̜̰̭̺̬̼̳͎̲͉̫̞͔̠̺̹̹͙̲̩̝̞͖̼̟̣̝̪̲̖͓̬̺̞̻͖̲̻͇̤͉̟̜͖̼̠͈̞̥̦͙̟͎̯̳̙̦̺̝͇̖͚͙̥̝͕̩̗̺͙̗̞̗̪̻̊̌̌̔͆̂͑̇̈̔͑̾͂̈̇́͆͛̾̈̀̔̾̋̆͒̃̋̌͒̆̇̎̏̑̒͂͂̈́̉̏̌͆̈͊͛̌̎̃̊͂̐͒̊͂͌̊̋̊̂́̈́̆̏͆̅͆͑̈́͛̋́̀̅͒͆͒̈́̽͊̽̽̏̒͛̑̃͒͑̅̐̋̒̐͊̍͒̅̉̎̈́̀́͛̆̽̕̚̚͘̕̕̕̚͘͜͜͝͝͝͝͠͠͝ͅͅͅͅͅ..."
Hearing her name caused her to flinch. She slowly eyed him. Her brows furrowed at his glowing green eyes, "...Yes, Izuku?"
He continued to stare at her before grinning, "Do you want to have...a sleepover?"
She was sure they could both hear her heart pounded against her chest. She tried to speak but she felt scared. She was beginning to tremble and before she could speak, her phone rang.
She felt relief as she grabbed her phone and noticed it was her mom calling. She stood up and then grabbed her bag, "I have to go."
"Wait!" Izuku grabbed her hand. He shakily smiled at her, "I'll see you later."
She returned the smile, though hers was fake, "Goodbye."
She quickly left, passing by a worried Inko. She didn't bother looking back as she walked down the stairs and exited the neighborhood. She let out a sigh of relief when she entered her home.
Is something wrong with him? Maybe he's still a little shaken up and confides in her. Yea, that must be it. Her nervousness eased as she settled in bed.
That same feeling of being watched returned.

I’ve been wanting to make a snippet for @stormcallart Elf Izuku and Orc Toshi AU for a while now. I added my own little ✨spice✨ with some plot explaining how Toshi got a baby elf.
~~~
It wasn’t unusual for the tavern to be filled with interesting patrons throughout the night. Particularly towards the end of the day when the weary traveler stopped for a drink.
Kurogiri knew not to ask where anyone was going, who they were, or what their business was. Everyone had their own story and either he didn’t care to know or he wasn’t supposed to know.
The tavern was popular amongst thieves and travelers for that reason. People could come and not have to worry about questions or the law. In this tavern they were just men and women grabbing a drink, gambling, or talking.
Kurogiri was putting some coins away when he saw the door open in the corner of his eye. A large man stepped into the tavern and held the door open for someone behind him before closing the door and walking over to the bar. The bartender looked up at his patron and greeted him when he sat down with a grunt.
It was an orc. A rather large one at that. Orcs were regarded as a rather violent race of creature and this man was covered in scars from old battles. His hair was bone white and styled into two large bangs. He set his axe down and leaned it against the bar before settling down.
Kurogiri nodded to the man and took out a glass for him. “Afternoon, Sir. Is there anything I can get you?”
The orc had been looking to the side at something and looked back up at Kurogiri when he was spoken to. “An ale,” He said gruffly, reaching into his pouch and pulling out a few coins. He placed them onto the bar and nodded to the chair beside him. “And a milk for my companion. If you have it I’d also like a pen and paper for him.”
Kurogiri hadn’t noticed until that moment that the orc wasn’t alone.
The bartender leaned over the counter slightly to look down at his other patron, a small elven boy. He had to be three or four summers old. His pointed ears and forest green hair were indicators of his elvish heritage. A mass of freckles splattered his face and two big green eyes peered up at Kurogiri.
The boy smiled and waved at Kurogiri before attempted to crawl up into the bar stool. The orc watched him struggle for a moment before reaching down and plopping him down in the chair beside him. The boy beamed as the orc fixed the flower crown in his hair.
Kurogiri swiped the coins into his pouch before fetching the order. The orc nodded his head in thanks when he was handed his ale and the little boy happily thanked the bartender when handed his milk and paper.
The orc waited until his ward was happily doodling away on his paper before holding up a hand and calling the bartender back over. Kurogiri walked back and saw the orc had a laid out a wanted poster.
“Has this man come through here?” The orc questioned, tapping on the sketch on the paper. Kurogiri only glanced at the sign before shaking his head in denial. “I don’t remember any of my customers, much less who comes and goes.” He said automatically.
You don’t sell out clients. As long as they paid their tab Kurogiri had no issue with who or what they were. People wouldn’t want to come to his tavern if they found he was selling them out.
The orc studied him for a moment before shrugging and taking a sip of his ale and calmly explaining his reasoning.
“I’m trying to find this little one his mother.” He nodded to the boy beside him, who wasn’t really listening to the adults. “Inko was my friend and Izuku’s mother. I believe this man took her. He left the kid in the house and I’ve been caring for him since. If I find him I can figure out what happened to her.”
Toshinori read the silence of the bartender and took out the poster again. This time Kurogiri took it wordlessly.
“His name is Hisashi Shigraki, but people know him as All For One.” Toshinori added, watching the other man study the poster.
“I don’t know him personally, but I know of him.” He lowered his voice, watching the other patrons carefully to ensure no one was eavesdropping. “He’s known as the demon king. A king of thieves and criminals. I don’t know what he wants with your friend, but if you find the right person they’ll be able to take you to him. I’d bet someone here may know.”
With that, Kurogiri handed the poster back and walked away to attend to other patrons around the bar. Toshinori sighed and took another swig of his ale.
It had been months since Inko disappeared. They grew up together as children. Toshinori admired her for her kindness and gentle beauty. He had been horrified when Izuku came to his home in the middle of the night, crying that someone took his mama. Since then Toshinori had been asking around and following leads to try and find the woman. He used his connections as a bounty hunter to get here.
Toshinori could feel Izukus eyes on him and glanced at the boy. Izuku was looking up at him with a hopeful expression.
“Are you trying to find mama?” He asked hopefully. It had been close to a year since Mr Toshi took him in. They had been going on adventures together and catching bad guys, all while looking for his mama.
Izuku wanted to feel mamas warm hugs again. See her smile, hear her laugh, and play with her. He hoped secretly that she’d make Toshi his new dad. Then they could be a family who went on adventures together!
A gentle hand ruffled Izukus hair, making the boy smile softly and lean into the touch. “We’ll get her back.” Toshinori promised. He had been promising himself that since the beginning. He’d find Inko and bring her home.
The orc quickly changed the subject to something more positive and pointed at the picture Izuku had drawn. “What’s this?” He questioned, taking the paper and holding it up to study. Izuku smiled and pointed at each of the figures. “Its us!” He explained proudly. “You, me, and mama.”
Toshinori felt his heart soften at the picture. It was a little family portrait. They were all smiling in a field of flowers and happy. It sometimes amazed him how Izuku managed to see such a bright and happy future at all times. Perhaps it was childish wonder and innocence or the darkness the orc had seen, but he truly hoped it never left his boy.
The tender little moment was interrupted when a heavy hand fell on Toshinoris shoulder. “I heard you’re looking for trouble.” A gruff voice began. The orc stiffened and quickly turned in his chair to face the speaker.
A large man with blond hair smirked down at Toshinori. Izuku winced when he saw one of his eyes was scared over and gone, replaced with a glass orb. Toshinori recognized him as Gato, although many people knew him as the rather violent bandit Muscular.
Toshinori spoke firmly, not allowing himself to let his guard down around the criminal. “I’m not looking for trouble. Just here for a drink with my son.”
The blond sneered at Toshinori. “Because I heard you were looking for the demon king. That sounds like trouble.”
It was at that moment that Toshinori noticed several other men in the tavern watching them. Four of them sat in the back of the tavern, drinking as they watched the confrontation. The hairs on the back of Yagis neck stood on end as he realized they were waiting for him.
Toshinori narrowed his eyes and let his hand fall to his belt where his knife rested in its sheath. Izuku was looking at the adults around him with wide eyes. “It’s not a problem unless we make it one. As I said, I’m enjoying a nice evening with my son.”
It quickly became clear that this man wasn’t going to stop bothering Toshinori. The orc stood and tried to grab Izuku to carry him out, but at that moment Gato lashed out with a wicked laugh and lunged at the orc.
Izuku squeaked and jumped in his chair when his caretaker reacted in an instant, grabbing the other man by the wrist and back of the neck and yanking him forward, slamming him into the bar counter. The force knocked several glasses off the counter to the floor where they shattered. Gato yelled in surprise and pain and quickly tried to wrench himself out of the orcs grip.
Toshinori held the writhing man down for another moment before letting him go and allowing him to scramble back. Gato looked surprise at being taken on like that. Toshinori had a calm expression on his face as he reached over and picked up Izuku and placed him onto the bar. He made eye contact with Kurogiri and set down a couple of coins.
“Give him a milk, please. This’ll only take a minute.”
Izuku sat on the counter with a cold glass of milk as he watched his adoptive father fight with the big scary man. He sipped on his milk calmly and followed the fight as Toshinori delivered blow after blow to Gato. Soon the other thieves joined in an attempt to defend their friend, but quickly realized fighting a massive orc after several ales was by far not a good idea.
Kurogiri stood beside Izuku and cleaned a glass as he watched the fight unfold. He noted the calm demeanor of the child and hummed. “Does this happen a lot?” He questioned.
Izuku nodded and took a sip of his milk. “A lot.”
In the end Toshinori dropped the last bandit on the floor and watched with a dark look as the man scurried away in fear. Now that that was handled, he zeroed in on Muscular who was tending to a broken nose. His excitement over the fight seemed to have waned as he realized they hadn’t even landed a blow on the orc.
Toshinori walked over to Gato and yanked him up by the front of his shirt, peeling him off of the floor. “Where is All For One?” He demanded harshly.
Gato smiled up at him, showing a gap where a tooth had been just a moment ago, and let out a laugh of disbelief. “I guess you earned it, big guy. All For One will be able to take care of you. He has a small outpost down the river. He’ll kill you, I hope you know that.”
Toshinori studied him for a moment before reaching down and grabbing the coin pouch at Gatos belt. The thief’s eyes widened as the pouch was tossed over to the bar. Kurogiri gave a nod of thanks and accepted the payment without a word.
Gato was dropped like a doll and ignored as Toshinori walked over to his boy. He took Izukus drawing and carefully rolled it up and stowed it in his bag before lifting the elf into his arms. He raised a questioning brow when he saw Izuku had a whole bottle of milk in his arms.
Izuku smiled at his papa and happily held up the gift from Mr Kurogiri. “Can we come back here again? I had fun!”
Toshinori smiled at his boy and carried him out of the tavern. “Sure. I had fun as well.”
CHWHWN: 19. December - " a wish"
Kacchan: *image attached* It's not necessarily a wish just for me. And you can tell me if you don't want it. Deku:( ⚆ _ ⚆ ) What is it? Kacchan: told Kiri about the evening with your quirk analysis books. Got some of him? And his quirk? Deku: I have the whole class. Kacchan: Course you do.. One book each? Deku: At the moment, yes. I reserved a book for each of our classmates, but not all of them are full. So you wish for me to analyze Kirishima's quirk? Kacchan: Yes. He'll freak out when he finds out, trust me Deku: Okay. Shall I invite him to my place? Or do you want to get the book? Kacchan: Hm The wish doesn't have a limit per se, right? Deku: ...I guess not, no. Why? Kacchan: And you have notes on the rest of the gang? Denks and Ashido? Even Hanta? Deku: I have the whole class. Kacchan: Ok listen I wish for you to grab your notebooks on my friends and come over at my place later. I still have the Gamecube since half of these guys are going home tomorrow night. We gonna play. Deku: Ok Kacchan: You cool with that? Deku: What time? Kacchan: 17:00? Deku: ok
He didn't know what it was, but it was probably approaching Christmas. Kacchan had made his wish.
For his friends.
Izuku wanted to cry.
If only he wasn't bursting with anticipation at the thought that he would be an invited and accepted part of the Bakusquad tonight. He loved his friends to pieces. But something about the others was ... badass. Cool. He squeaked into his hands - then his phone rang. Really. A real call.
"K-kacchan?"
"You okay?"
Irritated, he checked once more that he hadn't made a mistake and that it was really Katsuki, then he said, "Um, yeah? Yeah, why?"
"Cause you wrote as if you had... dunno. Like you weren't up for it?"
"I am up for it!"
"Even to bring your notes?"
"...Well. You know how embarrassed I am when people realize how carefully I pay attention," he thought aloud, and a low hum came from the other end of the line. "But if it makes them happy, then of course I'm happy to make them happy. And to help."
The line was quiet for a moment.
"100% sure?" Kacchan asked and Izuku sat down on his bed with a small smile as he continued to listen, "You've the absolute freedom to tell me if you don't wanna."
Wow. Who was this considerate gentleman on the phone? And what had he done to Kacchan?
"Wow. Kacchan sugoi," he cooed into the phone and started to grin, "it's okay, really. Sweet of you to ask, though."
"Shut up."
It sounded more offended than insulting.
"I'll be at your place at 5:00, Kacchan. With the books. To kick your ass on the Gamecube while the others read."
The microphone buzzed, the only hint of Kacchan's snort, "Fuck you, Deku. I'm being considerate for once and -"
"Thanks for your consideration," he gushed, beaming at his shelf of notebooks, "see you later!"
After hanging up, he glanced at his cell phone.
Wow. They had never talked on the phone before. His eyes scanned his apps, then were caught on the screen by his mother's wave. A picture of the two of them, splattered in dirt, digging up the garden. He could call her... distract himself, plan their Christmas Eve.
Or... he could go through his entire closet, hoping to find something that would make him look more like a cool guy than a dorky nerd.
He opened the little app with the notes for the calendar.
Advice, Victory, A Hug, An Ear, JOKER, Hot Chocolate
Two of them were already gone, but still unused.
"The hot chocolate is still in there, guaranteed."
And the rest ... Izuku placed the cell phone on his chest and looked at the ceiling. Was it enough? Had they created a foundation on which they could build more than just friendship?
He had held Kacchan's hand. For those ten minutes, on the way back to the dorm. Their interaction had been different, no question. But was it enough for what he wanted to do? Now he knew what kind of chocolate Kacchan ate on Valentine's Day - and according to him, no one else beside him ever did.
But couldn't all that …still count as friendship? Sure, not as a normal one .... but then he thought of Ochako and Shouto. He knew what kind of chocolate they liked best. And he had already held their hands, hugged them plenty and even dried their tears.
He and Kacchan still had a long way to go to be more than just friends. Did they have to be best friends to become more? Was it enough to be regular friends before they could become...more?
Today's “wish” was originally meant for both of them. The whole calendar was.
But they wouldn't meet like this today, not when the room was filled with Katsuki's friends. He liked them, all of them, but he noticed the small disappointment that Kacchan hadn't taken the chance to wish for something else. Another hand massage. Another fight. In short, time for two.
Advice, victory and an ear, he thought.
Kacchan doesn't take advice. And even if he did, it wouldn't change their current relationship. The same applied to victory. And even more so for the moment when he lent him an ear. However and whenever that would ever be realized to open the 24.
The hug.
Everything would be built up to the day he gave the hug. That was the only and last day Izuku could show that the calendar had a purpose other than just being nice.
But how?
The hug would have to be longer, tighter, more intimate than any of his hugs before. He would have to do something he hadn't done with Shouto or Ochako. He could put his hands under Kacchan's sweater.
"Nonsense."
He could let his hands sink lower. To his ... butt.
"Oh my God."
He could reach up and grab his face and pull it down and see what happened. Maybe ... they would ...?
"OH GOD." His face flushed at the image, he rolled over onto his side and screamed into his pillow.
Now, with only 4 chances left, the pressure to get it right increased tenfold.
Crap.
Arise fellow Kiribaku stans I have a fanfic idea! (That I may or may not post because I have commitment issues)
Everything was going well Bakugo was a rising hero in the top 15 just 6 years after graduating. He’d been able to better adjust to having his heart repaired after the war and it wasn’t as much of an inconvenience as it was in the earlier days. He’d mended his relationship with Izuku and had a plan 6 years in the making to make him his own Hero suit so they could fulfill their childhood dreams together as proper rivals and friends. And He was finally reconnecting with Kirishima after 6 years of distance bridging the gap that had occurred after the war and separated them for so long. They’d become room mates and Kirishima wasn’t a sh#tty one either despite the name Bakugo used to describe his hair. So Bakugo’s life was going pretty well had a roommate who actually helped out a training buddy to work out with and just something to look forward to.
His FRIENDSHIP with him was going great until one villain decided they wanted to redefine what the relationship was.
Bakugo was in the kitchen cooking up some Katsudon he forbade Kirishima from coming into the kitchen on Sundays he did NOT need to see the mess of a meal Kirishima made thanks to his poor cooking skills. Katsuki’s culinary soul might actually die if he tasted the culinary madness that was Kirishima’s cooking for a second time on his life.
He was acutely aware that Kirishima was lounging on the couch on his phone because they didn’t have an actual TV. Bakugo was hell bent on being number one and he couldn’t live doing that until he had his proper rival back in the game. If that meant pouring his salary into the suit for beta testing and not getting a Tv so be it.
Besides TV was bad for your health he could be doing much more productive things than having your eyes glued to a big screen.
That’s why Kirishima’s eyes were glued to the small screen of his phone instead scrolling online until he found something particularly interesting to glance at. And with Kirishima that was practically everything. Katsuki especially liked when the his eyes brightened up seeing posts with people praising the hero for his work. He’d been on special ops for 4 years staying hidden and mostly out of contact with many people including Katsuki. The blonde always knew Kirishima had issues when it came to his self esteem it had been subtle but oh so obvious to Katsuki. He didn’t know how much of it affected his decision to go into special ops or if the war was the reason for that. But it had been a good choice after Kirishima debuted back into hero society and into more public operations it was obvious how versatile the training had made him with his quirk and fighting techniques. Still he was a relatively hero in the public eye only being half a year since he’d debuted as an adolescent hero his history as a participant in the war and his work studies hadn’t been forgotten but it was gonna take some time for Kirishima to get his name out there.
Since Katsuki was in the kitchen he could hear whatever Kirishima was rambling about in the living room perfectly well. He hadn’t been really listening just enjoying how Kirishima’s voice made the place seem less silent and lonely compared to the 3 years he’d spent here alone. However the next sentence that came out of the Unbreakable hero’s mouth wasn’t as pleasant . . .
“Hey Katsuki look! There’s fanfiction about us by some person named *I don’t have a good name for the villain yet* huh why’s there a tag called Kiribaku?”
“What in the actual fu-“
—————-
An AU in which Kiribaku are room mates but aren’t together yet and Kirishima ends up reading a fanfic written on them strangely the events that occur in the fanfic seem to occur in real life leading to more than a few awkward situations occurring between Kirishima and Bakugo. Can they find the author before it’s too late or will they end up kissing in chapter 10 like the author promised her followers?
Aight that’s it for the preview I’ll try and make an actual chapter if people end up liking the idea.
Timeline: 2 years before Deku’s hero suit is finished and takes place in canon setting
@ravenbled / Shota twin sent in these from here!
☀ Does the mun listen to you while writing or not?
"I don't know if the word listen is the the accurate word. I feel like we're almost always in synch with one another. That is at least, when he is actually writing instead of pacing the house like a lunatic trying to convince his brain to get some words out. It's just that sometimes neither of us have the mental capacity to get things done around here. Either I'm not in the mood to co-operate, we're both tired from work, or there are too many external factors going on in our lives"
✍ Has the mun some special talents beside writing?
"He probably would tell you that he doesn't have any talents, unless you count being able to put in exactly 30 dollars of gas into a car, or however much you want in it." "His friends would say that he has a talent for cooking, but he is his own worst critic. He loves to cook for others, but doesn't like working in the industry. It's tireless and unrewarding. He often says that being a cook is like being a 'starving artist who won't starve' and says that they won't starve only on the basis that they're cooks. They would be able to not go hungry by eating family meal at work and for the fact that they know how to stretch out ingredients. If you want to do well in the culinary industry, you have to be great. And he'll tell you that he's only a good enough of a line-cook to work Mother's Day brunch at the Olive Garden. Nothing higher than that. He isn't good enough to be able to handle the pressure of fine dining and Michelin stared restaurants." Shota gave a toss of his head in thought before letting out a soft 'tch' of a laugh. His lips even dared to curled up into his rarely seen true smile. "And I'd say....well, I don't know if I'd consider it a talent but, he can be a quick thinker when the time calls for it. His rapid responses likely comes from working in hospitals or from being a cook and having to sometimes think on the fly. When it comes to himself he is the type of person who freezes up or shuts down. However, he is like Izuku in a way, and if it's another person or party involved, he can usually spring into action to help rather quickly. I'd even say it's heroic of him, but he'd say it's just human decency. "
🌟 Is there any genres the mun doesn’t enjoy writing but you enjoy being part of?
"Ehhhh, I don't think it's a matter of not liking certain themes or implications. D.A. is pretty open as far as what he is willing to write with people. Out of all thread types, he doesn't really like writing smut and doesn't plan on writing it on this blog. The only person he ever writes smut with is a close friend that he has known for over 10 years. In fact, they even met on this website. It doesn't really bother me all that much, but I'd like to get laid at least once in a while." Shota's mouth curled into a mischievous smirk. "But I guess I'm okay with it just being implied. A lay is a lay whether its written in detail or not." Considering there were few things that D.A. wasn't interested in writing, it caused Shota to pause briefly. His lips pursed in thought, trying to think of something else that wasn't common for his mun to write. "Another thing he doesn't write often is fighting. No matter if it's a physical fighting or a verbal fight, he isn't a particularity strong writer in those genres. That's not to say that he doesn't take pleasure in writing fighting scenes; he just isn't very good at it. In cases of fighting, depending on who he is writing, he is afraid to write characters as over-powered, especially me given the nature of my quirk. Alternatively he is anxious about making the mistake of leading a fight into a direction that his partner doesn't want it to go in. I suppose that's what plotting and out-of-character stuff is for though. I think that's why he made that last post about wanting to have a rival based thread so he can practice that." "As far as writing verbal disputes goes, he is always concerned that his arguments aren't going to make sense, or he'll end up not knowing what to say to a well-made point. Once again, this applies to a person like me who is driven by logic. That isn't to say that he isn't driven by that, but sometimes in his personal life, his emotions can override his reason."
BNHA 427
I liked this chapter. Izuku really is such a good kid, and poor Spinner has to deal with losing someone who both gave him a sense of purpose (?) and was his friend. I'm not too fussed now about Spinner calling him a murderer, even if my initial reaction was very surprised. To Spinner, who cared for Tomura, Izuku was directly involved in the events that caused Tomura's death.
I'm not super surprised that public opinion of Tomura is (understandably) very negative. Society doesn't know his full Tragic Backstory™—as far as I can tell, only Izuku knows the entire story. Besides, it's unrealistic for everyone to be completely sympathetic even if they do find out the truth, since Tomura did still murder a lot of people and cause widespread damage. He's not completely blameless, but the events that led up to him becoming a villain can still be acknowledged.
What I was surprised about was getting an update on Overhaul! Glad to see that he's still just as pathetic as before, and maybe even more so lmao. I'm also glad to see that his boss is rightfully calling him out on what he's done, and saying Overhaul should focus his regret on Eri. Not sure how the boss was able to recover, but I'm thinking Izuku might've fulfilled his promise and said something.
That last page really was something lmfao. I love it and I'm so glad it exists. We haven't seen gremlin Katsuki in a while, but Shouto kind of just seems accepting of his new situation??? Good luck to the two of them with dealing with their rabid fans now. I'm hoping Izuku also has some admirers, since I can't imagine any reason why he wouldn't. Wasn't his fight broadcast as well?
I'm not really sure what direction the next chapter's going to take, but I'm definitely not complaining if we stick with the class. Hopefully we get an update on Toga, but I'm not super optimistic. Fingers crossed though!
There's a little black spot on the sun today
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia | My Hero Academia
Rating: T
Relationships: Midoriya Izuku/Kirishima Eijiro
Characters: Midoriya Izuku, Kirishima Eijiro; MENTIONED - B/akugo K/atsuki
Summary: “B-But what about Kacchan? I thought you guys usually studied together.”
Much to his surprise, his upbeat classmate’s smile immediately drops at the mention of Katsuki. Kirishima probably notices it since he masks his dread with a smirk.
“Nah. He’s not exactly the best teacher."
Canon divergent.
Word count: 1.882
AO3
A/N: Me? Writing salt fics for BNHA even though I dropped it, like, two years ago? It's more likely than you think.
I still care about Kirideku and Tododeku, but I also wrote this to vent for the most part. I can guarantee you that all my BNHA fics will be salt lmao.
Admittedly, this fic is not exactly romantic, but I did not write this in a platonic view, personally. This ship means a lot to me and I just need to see more of Kirishima to be done with B/akugo.
I'm not sure if this will be out of character since I dropped BNHA, so I'm already warning you. Either way, I hope you enjoy!
TRIGGER WARNINGS - abuse and bullying, and implied/referenced suicidal baiting and suicidal thoughts
NOT BAKUGO/BAKUDEKU/KIRIBAKU FRIENDLY. HATE WILL BE BLOCKED.
P/roship DNI.
“Are you sure you wouldn’t rather study with someone smarter than me?”
“Yeah, of course! You’re my role model!”
“A-Ah, really?”
“Yeah! You always know what to do, especially in dire situations. Like our exams,” Kirishima grins like he’s the literal sun right in front of Izuku. “That’s what makes you so manly!”
Izuku only laughs with reddened cheeks. “You’re too nice, Kirishima-kun!”
“You’re the most skilled and smartest person I know, Midoriya. I’m not exaggerating.”
With how sweet Kirishima sounds now, Izuku’s face grows hotter, unable to deny his friend’s compliments. Not to mention how ungrateful that is.
“Thanks, Kirishima-kun.” As he nervously looks around, the boys surrounded by books and notebooks alike on his bed, besides the countless All Mights watching over them, Izuku plays with his hands and his pencil. “B-But what about Kacchan? I thought you guys usually studied together.”
Much to his surprise, his upbeat classmate’s smile immediately drops at the mention of Katsuki. Kirishima probably notices it since he masks his dread with a smirk.
“Nah. He’s not exactly the best teacher,” the red-haired teen clarifies. “I may be hard, literally speaking, but my head hurt for two days straight. I’m surprised I was even able to get through the theoretical exam like that.”
Izuku doesn’t laugh, despite Kirishima’s jokey tone. The former can still find the pain in the latter’s red eyes.
“Yeah…” Izuku says awkwardly. “Kacchan can be… a handful.”
“Tell me about it.” This time, Kirishima sounds bitter.
Izuku gulps, for some reason. Maybe because he’s never seen his classmate in this state before. Kirishima is probably the nicest guy he’s ever known, besides Uraraka. Kirishima seems to be the kind of person that doesn’t let other people get to him, that holds no resentments. Hence why he was always eager to befriend Katsuki.
As Izuku remains silent, Kirishima sighs in defeat.
“Honestly, I don’t even know why I try. Bakugo is just… he’s such an asshole,” he vents, “for literally no reason. Like, he treats everyone like crap, but even though it might seem like he respects me, I’m still just his personal punchbag. And maybe that’s my fault, I dunno. I must’ve thought, ‘oh, he seems cool, maybe if I prove to him that he doesn’t have to be a jerk all the time, then we can be friends!’.” Kirishima only sounds more and more frustrated. “He hits me, he constantly insults me, he never calls me by my name… after everything we’ve been through, after everything I’ve done for him, I thought things would change, y’know? But Bakugo is still the same guy who calls me Shitty Hair. And why my hair of all things?! It’s my brand!”
His cheeks are as red as his spiky hair, which is now smoothed down. Yet his flushed face is not endearing here, as Kirishima’s hardened fingers grab some of his hair, as if wanting to rip it off.
If Izuku isn’t seeing things, it might as well look like Kirishima is crying.
Although the latter is usually open, he has never been this… vulnerable before. He has never shown such strong emotions like this, if not when Katsuki was kidnapped. Otherwise, you’d look at Kirishima and not believe there’s anything tormenting him, but now Izuku knows better.
(And he hates to admit that this sight, this situation… is very familiar.)
“Kirishima-kun,” Izuku calls him, as his scarred hands gently take Kirishima’s solid arms, abandoning the pencil and all the papers the students were reading. “There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you. You’re the coolest person in class. You have a good heart, you’re a great example of a hero to us. You’re my role model, too.”
Kirishima blushes, now flattered. Some tears end up rolling down his face, and he dries them with his sleeve, his quirk likely quieting down.
“I’m sorry Kacchan made you feel like that,” Izuku says rather sadly. “I know how it is to be his punchbag.”
Admittedly, he didn’t mean to add that last part.
But now it’s too late, as Kirishima appears to be on alert.
“You mean, like… you guys aren’t rivals?” He questions. “Or even childhood friends like everyone says?”
“He’s not my friend,” Izuku tightens his voice, regretting it when Kirishima shivers, so he adds, quietly, “he never was.”
The air around them feels heavier on their shoulders, a painfully familiar environment for Izuku.
“He… He tried to kill you in All Might’s class,” Kirishima reminds grimly, like he’s trying to pick the puzzles himself, and probably feeling stupid for not doing it before.
Izuku nods, head lowered.
“... he did worse than that,” he mutters.
“Worse?”
“Much worse.”
“Like what?” Kirishima begins to sound angry, but not at Izuku, as far as he’s concerned.
The green-eyed boy, in contrast, is completely closed off now. He feels empty.
“When we were little, I could never stand close to him because he would literally blow my face off,” Izuku narrates. “Since then, he’s called me useless, worthless, a damn nerd, a waste of space…” He doesn’t cry at all. “He would also pick on other kids, and I was always there to stand up for them. But since no one looked after me back then… I was the one who got the worst of it.”
Although he doesn’t look at his classmate, Izuku can sense the rage coming from Kirishima, even if the latter tries to hide it.
The moment Kirishima opens his mouth, Izuku dares to worsen the heavy environment.
“... then he told me to kill myself.”
Inflamed silence.
“He did WHAT?” Kirishima reacts.
Izuku, on the other hand, shrugs and replies, “‘Take a swan dive off the roof’, Kacchan said. So maybe I would be lucky in another life.”
His friend only breathes weird, like he’s going to have a full breakdown. Izuku is simply… there, remembering all of these things.
“I guess Kacchan got… a little better since we entered U.A. But if I get in his way he’ll literally want to fight over anything. And he’s still a horrible person to a friend as incredible as you, Kirishima-kun,” Izuku vents. “I definitely know how hard it is to rely on him, because in our practical exam against All Might, Kacchan yelled the entire damn time. He slapped me on the face when I tried to think of a plan. It sure was a miracle that we passed. Ugh.” He hugs himself, clutching his own skin. “He’s the worst.”
There’s yet another long, aching pause between the two boys, neither of them sure what to say next. Izuku doesn’t look at his friend much, which reminds him of Middle School, when he tried to avoid people the best he could. It was the only way he wouldn’t get hurt.
(Does this mean he’s expecting Kirishima to hurt him?)
Finally, Kirishima speaks up again, after what feels like half an hour.
“... do you believe him?”
Izuku frowns. “Huh?”
“Do you believe Bakugo?” Kirishima clarifies. “That you’re… worthless and useless, and a waste of space?”
The freckled teenager is speechless, not knowing what to answer. The words seem to be stuck down his throat.
“Do you…” Kirishima hesitates. “Do you really think… you’d be better off dead?”
Izuku’s chest tightens, hurts. Has he been exposed? Is Kirishima right? Because Izuku always does everything to convince himself that Katsuki doesn’t affect him anymore, except he’s only proving the contrary right now. Just like Kirishima, Izuku has his own baggage regarding Katsuki. And it’s certainly heavy.
With his lack of answer, Kirishima pushes aside all their school books to… hug Izuku. The latter stiffens, not expecting the solid yet soft warmth to embrace him despite this moment. It holds Izuku together from breaking into meaningless pieces, from breaking and destroying his bones over and over again. The sort of hug Izuku hasn’t had until he reunited with All Might at the beach, after the Number One Hero’s fall.
The thing about Kirishima, however, is that… they’re actually a lot alike. He’s always putting on a smile to reassure his friends and everyone else that everything will be alright. He’s the first one to rescue someone in need. Kirishima might not be mainly inspired by All Might, but he’s also very loyal and cheerful, always up to a friendly approach with everyone around him. Kirishima, though, is far more sociable than Izuku, seeing as he gets along well with everyone in class, while the greenette stays with his closest friends only.
Truthfully, Izuku was never this close to Kirishima before. He wonders if it’s because the latter hung out with Katsuki. He wonders if he feared Kirishima would find Katsuki way better than Izuku. Or if he just fears everyone in general. Maybe it’s all of these things at once.
Either way, Kirishima keeps him together for what feels like forever, as if only Izuku’s room exists in the world. Nothing else matters, as they’re up to the stars, the All Might comets flying around them. Izuku realizes his green eyes are wet, yet he doesn’t openly sop like he usually does. He’s been so strangely silent today. Maybe after everything that has happened, Izuku’s batteries are beyond low, so Kirishima does his best to recharge him, even if just a little.
And of course, it works.
Izuku melts entirely in the hug, it’s almost pathetic. He knows, though, that Kirishima is the last person that would ever judge him for it. He also knows that his red-haired friend probably needs the recharge as well. Neither of them want to let go just yet. If they could, they would abandon all their inner demons and stick together.
Both boys relax, sinking on the bed. Still, Kirishima is the one who organizes everything to make Izuku more comfortable.
“You’re leaving?” Izuku asks, blushing once he notices how needy he sounds.
“Honestly… I don’t want to.” Judging by his tone, he likely doesn’t want to go to his room, which is right next to Katsuki’s.
“You can stay here, if you want.”
Kirishima smiles fondly. “Yeah. I don’t want to leave you alone, either.”
Izuku likely blushes red again at the other’s soft concern, and even more so when his classmate finally joins him, the teenagers lying close to one another, their hearts beating together, after hurting for so long. At the very least, they get to look out for each other.
Knowing Kirishima, he likely won’t want to leave things with Katsuki the way they are. He would get to the end of things, especially when it comes to the bully hurting Izuku. Regardless, Kirishima won’t want to force anything, because all he wants is to keep Izuku safe. All he wants is to let Izuku know that he isn’t worthless or useless, that he doesn’t deserve to die. That Izuku means the world to him, as well as his other friends – his real friends.
For now, they don’t need to worry about any of that, nor the upcoming exam (mainly because it’s not tomorrow). Because right now, Izuku feels safe, and Kirishima might second that. Only they know how long they’ve needed this.
The two of them likely fall asleep at the same time, breathing together, protecting each other. No explosions will ever destroy what they have.
||Late night Meetings||
*waving* Hello there. It’s time for a silly drabble and this is a fun one for my friend and rp partner @demon-blood-youths It’s a idea I thought of when I was at work so I hope she likes it.
~~Drabble Summary~~
Bakugo Katsuki, along with his classmates, have been working over night for a while or some nights which was alright. However, more villain activity was known that it has been a lot. So now, he’s been keeping the fractions awake at night due to his work. How will this go? Read to find out.
~~Guests for this drabble~~
The Fractions of NYC (Half belongs to demon mun and the other half belongs to me)
Bakugo katsuki, Midoriya Izuku, and Shoto Todoroki belongs to MHA and me since I Rp them as muses.
~~Their will be Grammar mistakes and errors in this but it’s written for fun so please understand. With that said, I hope you enjoy~~
It’s another peaceful quiet night in New York City where everyone is either out enjoying themselves or just being at home. All is well within the buildings and out well almost. Over the last few weeks, Bakugo Katsuki has been working himself to finding as many villians as he can due to seeing so many show up in New York. So, he’s been doing that. The only problem is: He’s been making so much noise, it has been noticed by the Fractions in NYC where they haven’t gotten any good sleep.
~~From the first week~~
The fractions heard loud shouting but ignored it. Bakugo was working on finding this guy but no luck.
~~The next week~~
The loud commotion got worse so the fractions had trouble sleeping for a bit. They were annoyed but still alright.
~~The week after this one~~
They couldn’t sleep due to Bakugo going to each location causing a disturbance and waking everyone up. It was up to the point they had people complaining while they were being woken up.
~~And the week after that~~
Bakugo begins doing meetings late at night or in the morning but it’s become a problem now.
Now even this night during the new week, Bakugo was trying to track down a villain that was in hiding. So he called a unexpected meeting with the fraction leaders and their teams. Here how it went:
“Alright, so as I said before! We been trying to figure out where or how this jerk been through New York but he’s been hiding! I know maybe one of you guys knows his location or at least can help us out!” He said explaining the situation while Midoriya and Shoto was there as well. They were sitting in the living room in the DBT’s base while it was pretty late.
“So, with you guys help, we can find this guy and bring him down! So any questions!?” he said.
“Uhhhh Bakugo?” Midoirya taps his shoulder as he glares at him.
“What!?”
He heard light snoring and quiet muttering to see the Fractions, in their Pjs or sleepwear, falling asleep. Ink, with her team fell asleep once more while wearing their Pj’s but Ink was hugging a pillow while having bed hair snoring lightly in her pillow. The others were also in their Pj’s asleep while being close. Jinx was in her own cat themed Pj’s as well snoring lightly while her team was sleeping as well while cuddled up against one another. Breezy was sleeping while hugging Rust and he was sleeping.
Melinda was being held by Jaron who was sleeping as well really tired. Echo and Navarro were sleeping like little puppies but didn’t wake up. Mouse was sleeping and resting her head on Fosh’s shoulder and him, he was sleeping but having his laptop resting on his lap with her doing the same. Vivi and Shdwkyz were sleeping beside each other just tired. Fin with his boys were sleeping soundly but he was really tired due to being called here so late.
Kali was sleeping but Alex was sleeping with his head on her lap and tail curled up with her team who was sleeping as well. Joshua and Ashley were sleeping but she was curled up in a blanket but he was sleeping quietly. Their teams were doing the same thing lightly sleeping or snoring while also being called here so late.
Eithan, for reasons we don’t know, along with Willow was there sleeping quietly but also sitting by one another tired as well. How Bakugo got them here? He demanded Vivi make a portal to bring them here along with their teams. Yuuka was there too with her team but she was sleeping by Oblivion while quietly resting too. Even Guam was there! He was resting his head on his hand sleeping but his team was also bundled up in blankets tired but asleep. And Rex was there as well sleeping soundly but his team was knocked out as well.
“Zzzzz.....zzzzzzzzzz......zzzzzzzzz....”
“......” Bakugo’s eye twitched seeing they fell to sleep again. He’s trying to explain something and they keep dozing off. He even saw his two classmates Izuku and Shoto doze off as well standing up tired. Seeing this, he growls to raise his hand and slam it on the table making a loud explosion to shout,
“WAKE THE FUCK UP!!”
“!?!” Right away everyone snaps awake looking confused but also really tired. Breezy and Rust snaps awake but blink to see she was hugging him but lets go quickly saying sorry but he rubs the back of his head to understand.
“S..sorry..” she mutters tired.
“It’s fine...” Rust said but yawns.
Melinda and Jaron snaps awake but blinks to look around but she sits up with him helping her but she looks to rub her eyes while her hair was in a ponytail while he yawns.
Echo and Navarro snaps awake but grumbles being woke up from their sleep.
Joshua snaps awake with a light snort but he felt Ashley wake up sleepy only to keep bundled up in the blanket she had with her. He saw she was really tired but helps her sit up looking sleepy.
Vivi and Shdwkyz wakes up but was annoyed due to Bakugo waking everyone up. Again. Why couldn’t he wait till morning.
Mouse snaps awake but so did Fosh as they caught his laptop and her tablet from falling. The younger members wake up really sleepy but they rub their eyes whimpering. Ethan and Willow wake up but they were both rubbing their eyes but was tired.
“Stop falling asleep! Were in a meeting!” he said but heard groans from everyone while the leaders blink to look at him but yawns quietly rubbing their eyes.
“Ugh..Bakugo.....how long is this meeting? It’s 2:30 in the damn morning..couldn’t you wait to do this meeting..*Yawns* when were all awake?” Yuuka grumbles rubbing her eyes.
“Or when the sun was up? It’s still dark out and it’s freaking cold..” T-bone grumbles.
“NO! I’m doing this because I know a villain is hiding somewhere in New York! I know he’s somewhere but he’s not making it easy to find him! That’s why I had this meeting with you extra-I mean fractions in order to figure this out!” He grumbles but everyone was yawning while stretching or some trying to stay awake.
“Your a idiot then...again, it’s 2:30 in the morning, you moron. This is the 13 time in two weeks you woke us up in the middle of the night.” Rex sighed but he along with the other fraction leaders agree with him.
“He’s right. You seriously are this stupid in finding one, I repeat, one villain who could be sleeping right now! You can’t understand everyone needs sleep even idiot villains too.” Kali growls tried but Alex was yawning while feeling Zed petting his head knowing he was tired.
“I’m not stupid! I just wanna find him because he’s been making it hard to sleep or track him down!” He shouted but everyone had a dumbfonded look while yawning.
‘How do you think we feel?!?’ everyone said in their minds annoyed even if their grumpy from the lack of sleep.
“That’s why I need you guys to help me find him!”
“Again....couldn’t you wait until we got some sleep?” Shdwkyz said annoyed by this.
“I agree with him. This waking us up in the morning is getting stupid...not to forget, it makes it harder for us to get a good night’s sleep if you do this..” Vivi adds him.
“Yeah, this whole waking us up in the morning is getting old..”Vanessa sighed but the others were starting to doze off while Bakugo sighed.
“And I don’t care and I’m going to keep doing it till we find him! So do you have any ideas or not!” he said but saw them starting to doze off again. “AND STOP FALLING ASLEEP!!”
“Bakugo, I swear I really wanna punch you for this. Please can’t you just let us go to sleep? We’ve been woken up by you so much It’s like a loud bomb going off.” Yuu said.
“You’ll be fine!”
“*Sighs* Again, this is pointless...and I’m still not sure why you dragged me and Willow into this..I mean, wouldn’t the villain be here in NYC?” Ethan explains but felt Willow doze off again before he carefully pats her cheek as she wakes up.
“Look, No one is going to sleep unless we do something about this! I demand answers and I’m going to find out where he is!!” He was shouting only to hear some complaining from outside.
“HEY, SHUT UP! PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!” A random civilian said.
“YEAH, YOUR TOO DAMN NOISY!!” another shouted out.
“YOU SHUT UP!” Bakugo shouts through the window but Ink dozed off again but snaps awake thanks to Hellmare who was beside her.
“Great, now he’s waking up others around which is good. Wait, how can anyone here us on the-you know what? I’m not questioning it.” Kali said but she was grouchy due to not getting much sleep.
“Anyway, do you have any questions?” He asked but no one rose their hands too tired to do so. “Well?!?”
“No..” They all said.
“OH come on, someone has to have something!” He said but Jeremy sighed.
“look, no one has anything Bakugo so are you done with this meeting? I mean, do you even know what this villain looks like?” he asked.
“No...I was trying to find a picture but nothing came up.”
“...So you woke us up and you have no idea who this guy is and what he looks like?” Enya asked as she yawns again but Bakugo blinks to glare at her.
“I know! I just....I don’t have the photo. Maybe the two hackers know!” he said pointing at Fosh and Mouse who, once again, went to sleep lightly snoring.
“WAKE UP!!”
They snap awake again but Mouse yawns but Fosh groans pushing his glasses up. “...What?” they asked.
“Can you look up the villain that’s been known through the night!?” he said but the two sleepy hackers blink but begins working. Though, they, along with the rest, just wanted to sleep. In a bit, both Fosh and Mouse found something to show him.
“Is this the guy?” she asked showing a male that seems to be in his 30′s, has wild zig zag hair, wearing a really weird outfit. Though, he was using his quirk that seems to make sonic screeching waves.
“What’s his name???”
“It’s same his name is NIghtboom or.....something.” Fosh said yawning. “Though, it’s been said from the news he’s been making a racket around NYC......so maybe this is your guy?” he asked Bakugo.
“Hmmmmmm....He might be. Anything else?”
“No...he’s the only one we found.....the others were already caught and put in jail.” Mouse said sleepy but Bakugo thinks about it.
“That makes sense! So he could be the main one doing this! Aha! We are close to finding him!”
“...............”
“Then I guess were going! You! Give me a copy!” He points to Mouse but she was sleeping lowering her head but he growls but Fosh sighed doing it for her. He made a copy but hands him the photo.
“Here..”
He takes it and looks seeing the picture. “Finally! I will catch you!” he shouted but looks to the sleeping Midoriya and Shoto. “Guys wake up! Were going to find him! Lets go!” he grabs their shirts dragging them on the floor but the other fractions were sitting there while the leaders were tired but looks to yawn.
“Well...at least he got what he needed. I guess we can...go home.” Jinx yawns with tears in her eyes but Ink nods agreeing. So did the leaders.
“Alright guys, lets head on home......Guys?” Jinx looks to her team like the others. They all fell asleep again in the living room. Jinx blinks but Ink yawns to rub the back of her head.
“.....Wanna just sleep over and head home in the morning?” Ink asked the leaders.
“...Yes....”
“*Yawns* Hellmare, do we have extra blankets and pillows?” she asked seeing her nod going to get some with Rust helping her and Breezy too.
~~Minutes later/Morning time 4am in the morning~~
Everyone was sleeping in the living room while the DBT was in their rooms too tired. Finally, they can get some sleep after the sudden meeting. It was like it never happened. Until.....
A loud banging was heard on the door waking eveyone up but heard groans and some shouting. This woke Ink and Jinx up to sigh.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?” Echo shouts from the room while Navarro was angry.
“HE REALLY IS BACK AGAIN!?” Kali shouts.
“PLEASE, I JUST WANNA SLEEP!!!” Fosh cries out covering his head with a pillow.
“WHY!? WHY CAN’T HE TAKE A HINT AND GO HOME!!” Damien shouted mad even if he was tired.
“......” Both Jinx and Ink groans to get up from the beds to hear the banging.
“HEY, I NEED ANOTHER COPY!! ARE YOU GUYS UP!?” Bakugo shouted but he was banging on the door. the other fractions open the window to look down annoyed.
“Bakugo, it’s 4 in the damn morning! Please leave!” Yuu said but he glares.
“Not till I get another copy!!” he said but before she said anything, Echo and Navarro shows up but they were really annoyed.
“Seriously!? What’s your damn problem! Were trying to sleep!” Navarro said angry.
“Yeah, just come back in the morning!” Echo shouted.
“THEN OPEN UP OR DROP THE COPY OF THAT PICTURE!!! I WON’T LEAVE TILL YOU DO!” he shouted but the two bombers growls but looks to one another then at him.
“Fine..hold on.” Echo said as she goes back inside but Bakugo waited. He did have a villian in his hand but as soon as the two look up, they saw something glowing. Echo was holding a bomb but so was Navarro.
“What the fuck-”
“HERE’S YOUR DAMN COPY!!” They said throwing the bombs as Bakugo dodges shouting.
“HEY QUIT IT!!!” He shouted angry but he saw the villain crash on the ground but he and Bakugo got hit with a bomb by Echo exploding to show some smoke. The two didn’t move but saw Bakugo and the other knocked out.
That’s when a portal shows up but the two look to see Jeremy and Vivi awake while they sent Bakugo back. The other fractions were grumbling now too tired to even complain now.
“If he comes back..I’m fucking murdering him..” Echo said.
“I’ll join you if he does..” Navarro said as the two head back to their beds to sleep. After that. The place was quiet.
~~In the morning at 9am~~
Everyone was sleeping in after last night, even Jaron, who would be up making breakfast as everyone was sleeping. Thanks to Bakugo he kept them up and they decided to just sleep in and take a day off. Good news, the Villian was caught thanks to Bakugo. Bad news, he was in trouble for disturbing the peace of NYC. The teachers even eraserhead shook his head while the others sweatdrop while seeing Bakugo being yelled out.
Oh well, at least he caught the bad guy.
