Rewatching Inside Job again and just thinking about how great the ending is in a sense of what it set up and ended. It tied up so many things but also made up so much room for different and new opportunities.

Like Rand and JR are in Shadow Prison, allowing Reagan to be the head of cognito. They aren’t super crucial to the plot but they still can contribute to the story in different ways (ex Reagan going to them (mainly Rand) for advice or the robes using them as bait/threats).

It introduced obviously the whole Robes as antagonists and a mystery to be solved, while also introducing a new dynamic between the main Gang and the different secret societies. It also introduced a really interesting place for Reagan as a character, having to be an actual leader on her own, limited influence from her parents, and, ofc, how she would deal with Appleton. Also Brett! Brett in Appleton showed a completely different side of him- a leader with a lot more confidence in himself but still needing the support of a team or others around him. It would have been great too to see how he could grow as a leader and a person. Like you can tell how much Shion wanted to grow these two characters and help them find happiness.

(The scene where Reagan tells Brett she’s running away is so good AHHH. The silence and how he just says “I got this” after looking at her injury, her deadlines, and her medication and how this job will kill her if she keeps going like this. This issue was never tied up or addressed and it would have been so amazing to see Reagan working in a place where she has everything she wants but so much to prove and so much work + the grief from Ron and Rand, how would she handle it??)

I also feel like, had the show gotten the chance to exist in its finality, I’m sure there would be so many callbacks from the earlier episodes. Nostalgia Brett would be powered up for the series finale, The Flat Earther guy would return as king of the mole men, and I’m sure even Ron would find a way to come back whether it be as just a reminder rod what could have been or as something more.

It was such a good ending to set up for so much. I can’t stand that it’s cancelled and I need some more fandom content. How many fanfictions can one gal read. Ugh, everyday I’m begging someone to bring this show back.

So, in this last scene:

Ron says she will have 60 seconds to read the script meaning everything Reagan said is in the window of suggestibility.

And she reads the script to create the identity they are going for but, then she starts talking:

So that also goes into Ron's head right? What if he starts wondering about the person that searched for thousands of lifetimes to make him happy?

What if he starts wondering who that little voice in his mind is or that sentence without a voice belongs to?

What if he can't stop thinking about that person who's gonna miss him,

And he'd miss too if it were possible.

And it would be so fucking painful to just remembering but actually not remembering at all. Like trying to remember a word but not being able to form it in your head or like knowing where your step is going to land but then stepping on a stair and so, stepping into a space; falling down briefly but still falling. Feeling that float-y feel of a fall and landing on the familiar ground; feeling the little sound inside and coming back to the reality.

That kind of an annoying feeling that comes and goes. And when he can't handle it anymore, can't handle not knowing; he tries to reach for it, search for it, tries to recognise it, name it and find it...

me struggling how to feel about brett and reagan’s relationship because on one hand their friendship is so important and they support and care each other sm and brett only wants reagan to be happy (especially when ron happened) not to mention the lack of m/f friendships in media that stay platonic can negatively affect people’s perceptions of m/f relationships as ALWAYS needing to be romantic even most times no it does not- especially when said m/f ship is super toxic or feels forced/has no chemistry

but on the other HAND (haha pun) brett and reagan’s growing support for each other and chemistry is definitely going to become stronger as the series goes on and they’re so compatible because they’re so comfortable with each other makes it really hard for me (personally) to deny there’s no possibility of them ending up together because they’re so GOOD for each other and I need more representation of m/f couples actually LIKING each other that aren’t just the same “haha I hate my wife/gf” jokes we’ve had to suffer for DECADES

Sure thing! I'm definitely late on doing requests, so sorry about the wait—but here it is!! A bit angsty ngl, but I hope you enjoy this either way!

"Run Away" (Ron Staedtler x Yes-Man! Gender Neutral Reader Headcanons)

To start off, I think Ron would make a bad first impression with the reader, regardless of them being a Yes-man sort of person.

As stated in the Rontagion episode, Ron commonly makes bad first impressions. You can see this in his character introduction, as well as when Reagan introduces him to Brett and the others.

So, with that in mind, a Yes-man! reader would probably act nice towards Ron while still holding dislike towards him.

Despite this, I feel like a situation would come up where their dislike is mentioned, and while the reader hurriedly tries to cover it up, they're surprised by Ron's acceptance of it.

Of course, you're offput by his acceptance of it. Perhaps the reader has a need for everybody to like them similar to how Brett does, which makes them admire Ron for his nonchalantness.

Because of this, you might make friends with Ron right then and there, putting the bad first impression behind you.

If that does happen, I think Ron would find some sort of solace with you in the Illuminati. And when the two of you get closer, he would express his regrets of joining and how his job torments him.

In this case, I think the reader would encourage him to leave; even if it meant never seeing him again.

Following the storyline of Ron meeting Reagan, I think the plot would be generally the same. Only Ron doesn't hook up with Reagan at the end of the night.

It just doesn't feel right, and he can't understand why. At least until he sees you again at work the next day.

Still having not left the Illuminati despite your endeavors, he would hang around you more often. He feels... happier around you.

Just being around you brings his spirit up, and the fact that you're encouraging him to leave for his own good goes straight to his heart.

At some point, I think he might confess on a particularly bad night. Maybe his subject's memories really got to him, and he just couldn't handle it.

He'd beg you to run away with him, to leave the Illuminati behind and make new lives for each other.

But with his tearful eyes and his frantic breathing, the reader is well aware that he's not thinking straight. And while a Yes-man! reader would vigorously encourage Ron to leave, I think they would have trouble leaving themselves.

So, without denying his pleads, they'd simply hold him close. Listening as he whispers how much he appreciates them and how he couldn't stand to lose them to this hellish company.

"I love you. So, so much."

It'll come out quietly, and the only indication that he said it is the feeling of his breath against your ear. Shivering slightly, you'll only hold him tighter.

And perhaps when he's thinking more clearly, he'll realize it's hopeless to try and leave such a life behind. But until then, you'll hold him as he confesses every little worry he has. And you'll happily allow him to believe there will ever be a future for the two of you.

- she has a lot of general fears caused by trauma, so this is pretty common territory,  - like she still refuses to watch the jurrasic park movies because of her birthday party, that one year. will start fuming the second someone says anything about dinosaurs.  - by all means she’s not opposed to leaving a light on or sleeping with a tv on. she’s used to constant noise by now, and has fallen asleep amidst her devices more times than she can remember.  - that is not discounting the fact that she would literally build any partner a nightlight if need be, so when you told her originally, she went through quite a few prototypes to find the perfect one.  - always has an extra flashlight on her, because her power goes out quite a lot. also stores a few extra lightbulbs just in case, (also makes sure you have as many as you need. she makes a lot of hardware store trips) - she also adores candles though, so be prepared to get some the second she figures out what your favorite scent is. 

- expect a lava lamp within the first few weeks of her finding out about this fear. they are a lifesaver. it was one of her favorite ways to visual stim as a kid.

- tries to avoid dates in anywhere not well lighted, especially near nigh. if it’s unavoidable, she almost instantly has your hand in hers, helping you steer through it. 

- “hey, listen to me, you’ve got this- no, we’ve got this. there’s nothing coming for you, and if, it ever does? it’s gotta get through me first.” 

- brett hand 

 - like reagan, he also has a lot of fears from his childhood. for one he has an intense fear of squirrels. 

- the sweetest about it though.. does not hesitate to wrap around you the second it gets dark. his arm around your waist, entangling his fingers with yours, whispering your favorite song to distract you. (which is how a lot of the two of your walks to the car go, especially after work)

- if there’s any specific reason you have the fear, expect him to sit and listen the entire time you explain it. any specific triggers of it? he’s on it, he will make sure the two of you avoid them like the plague.

- any panic attacks? he’s right there with you, reminding you of the breathing techniques the two of you had practiced. - if you need someone to talk to besides him? he totally gets it, he’s already searching up available therapists in your area. 

- he ends up surprising you one night, excitedly walking you to your own room, sturdy hands cupped over your eyes. “Okay, okay, you can look now.”

- ”I figured these could help you get to sleep!” he chirped,  flapping his hands excitedly. “but I can take them down if they’re too much!” 

- for anyone wondering, you didn’t take it down.

- thought you were joking when you first said anything about it, though his small lopsided grin quickly fell into his usual glum expression. immediately goes into making sure you know he understands, for example he refuses to go into churches now at all costs. if you need to talk to anyone about it, he’s right there. - he definitely gets nightmares and sleep troubles, so by all means there have been nights when he’ll stay up with you. he dabbled in all nighters all of college so it doesn’t shake him much. whether it’s laying in bed in a comfortable silence, wrapped in each others arms, or making grilled cheese at 3:00am, and trying to find the worst lifetime movie. (Sorry guys, you won’t tear that headcanon away from me)

- he wouldn’t ever admit it, unless it came up in conversation, but when he was a kid he was in the boys choir at his church.. he’s not a perfect singer but, if you ever have trouble relaxing or falling asleep, he won’t hesitate to hum (and whisper sing) but if anyone asks he expects you to deny it with your entire soul.

- he spends.. a lot of time at work, and while it’s definitely a struggle when he leaves for overnight shifts, he once took the day off to stay home, and surprise you. cooking dinner, and than spending around two hours on a step ladder,

- by the time you got home, he’d called you in, and met you at the doorframe. switching off the lights, only after entangling his fingers with yours.

- I hate to sound verbatim, but he definitely has some obscure and strange fears of his own, so don’t even worry about it.

- persistent bright light messes with his sensory issues, but that just means that he usually uses dim and colored LEDS, and lamps. he’ll make sure to keep them all on while you’re over.

- he has a history with panic attacks, so he’s quick to offer some of the coping mechanisms that really helped him. if the two of you work together, he’ll usher you to his lab, and have you count some of the things you see. (5-4-3-2-1 coping technique)

- definitely slipped Reagan a $20 to make you an extra powerful flashlight. he gifts it to you in the most melodramatically wrapped gift box possible.

- if you struggle with sleeping because of it, he definitely has the right meds for it (though will generally just offer you some weed before bed

- one of his favorite things to do is smoke after hours and use the holo chamber to watch stars, (he was definitely an astrology nerd growing up) it’s one of the things he’ll be sure to warm you up to, but it was also a measure to help you overcome it. holding your hand and pointing out the constellations to you.

“That one?.. that’s Cassiopeia. She was the queen of Aethiopia.. she was the Greek myth equivalent of Mother Gothel, and Poseidon got tired of her shit and placed her in the heavens, tied to a chair.”

I really liked the parallels between Reagan and Rand had this season.

The season opened up with Reagan, drunk and in a dirty bathrobe, ranting and raving in front of the White House about conspiracies because she hates the person who took her job as the head of Incognito Inc. This is exactly how the first season opened up, but with Rand in that moment. It was truly a Like Father, Like Daughter moment if I ever saw one.

Then later, when they are both presented with multiple timelines, they both search and search and search, because they are both looking for that one golden reality where they get everything they want. Rand wanted his wife and daughter back, to be a happy family, and Reagan wanted to live a life with both her dreams realized and the love of her life.

But they both failed.

Rand wants Reagan and Tamiko, but there is no universe where he does because he was an awful husband and father. He erased his daughter’s memories for his own benefit and he can’t seem to get why she hates him, and he he needs to pass a new law just to get his wife to spend time with him, and is easily out done by a robot. Rand is the reason they hate Rand, and it never seemed to register to him, he would have destroyed reality looking for a solution that simply did not exist. At the end, it seemed like maybe he was finally starting to understand, but in the end it was too late, the damage was done and there is no fixing it.

All this because he simply could not let go.

Reagan on the other hand, could let go.

She wants to be in charge of Incognito Inc because she believes that through it she can make the world a better place, and she can bring forth a greater good, but Ron, the man she loves, wants nothing to do with that. He is tried of shadow governments and conspiracies, or easing peoples’ memories, and wanted out to the point where he wanted to delete his own memories and start fresh somewhere else.Like Rand before her, Reagan looked and looked for a reality where things worked out, where should have both her dreams and her love, but she couldn’t find one that worked out because the two were just too incompatible. Unlike Rand though, she let go of Ron, because she knew that a future with her could only bring him unhappiness.

Both Rand and Reagan sacrificed love for their ambitions, but where Rand sacrificed love for his sole benefit, Reagan’s sacrifice was born to protect said love.

I will never be over the Reagan Ridley Brett Hand dynamic. Genius woman vs Gentle himbo is the perfect dynamic on its own, but the show does it So Well. Brett is too charming and gormless to be at all horrible, and he's also, really good at his role, which is to be very sweet and a sort of social lubricant. He's a people pleaser and that's formed him into more than a bit of a doormat. They work so well together, chill out and have fun.

Brett heals Reagan on an emotional level being a) wildly likeable and b) a safe and genuine source of support, while Reagan, after seeing Brett's merit just seems to genuinely like him. In some places she seems like taking a him as a kid who needs protecting on some form, but she also recognises that he has skills she couldn't dream of. Season 1 set them up perfectly, and season 2 has them taking the risk of offending the other to help them (see Brett hurting Reagan's feelings to tell her to go to therapy) and being comfortable insulting them (saying that Reagan was kind of a dick), while stilling loving them totally. But overall, it also sets up that Brett and Reagan, maybe unknown to anyone, even themselves, put each other first. Reagan without thought abandons the mission to sabotage Brett's career, and also seems genuinely interested and a little hurt that he never shared his crafting hobby with her. Brett is the only one who sticks with her, and is the only one who she sends away, for his own safety. She tells him about Ron and the memory, and he chooses to let her leave after seeing that the workplace is toxic, specifically for her.

Them growing from each other has me feeling so happy, I love how good they are for each other.

Breagan "getting together" Headcanons

because why not.

It took Reagan a long time to warm up to Brett as a friend, and so much longer to adjust to the idea that, maybe, possibly, she sees him as more than that.

She only accepted her fate when Myc made some comment about it

Brett had a small crush on her from the start. J.R. or whoever dealt with him after the barbecue probably mentioned what Reagan does, and Brett could only think damn, she's such a badass.

This definitely got worse when he actually met Reagan, and just about doubled when she started warming up to him.

Though Brett shows a favouritism of her over the rest of the gang, everyone (including Reagan) just think it's because they work together the closest.

Brett's too worried about wrecking his friendship with Reagan to say anything- he'd rather be friends with her and seem like a hopeless romantic than have shot his shot and completely lost her.

Then Reagan tells the team about this guy...

Brett's immediately intrigued, and asks to see a picture of him. Reagan shows him (yeah, Brett can definitely agree he's hot) and just talks so highly of this guy, and Brett gets sour.

He expresses it under the guise of being concerned for her, but everyone can see right through that. He brings up what happened with Rafe Masters and Ron. Everyone notices that this is new for Brett.

Later, Brett and Reagan go out for drinks...

Reagan asks Brett if he's alright, referring specifically to how he acted about the guy.

Brett can't handle it and absolutely spills his heart out. He tells her everything.

He ends it with, "but, if this guy makes you happy, then... pretend I never said any of that. I just don't want to lose you."

Reagan seems shocked, but stays quiet. Brett begs for her to say something. She's mostly surprised that he's not gay.

Brett laughs it off, but his eyes plead for an answer. She responds with, "When was the last time you've been kissed- properly. Hit me." It's certainly not since he's been working at Cognito.

Well, let's just say that, after that conversation, his answer is "tonight".

Okay everyone I woke up randomly at 3AM and instead of going back to sleep decided to binge watched Part Two of Inside Job which spoiler alert only has eight episodes this time?!!! What the fuck?!!!! Any way these are some of my takeaways from this season. I will be doing an episode by episode analysis later but for now theses are my initial thoughts!

Spoiler Warning!!!!!!!!Seriously do not read if you don’t want the season to be spoiled!!!!

First let’s get the biggest part of the season out of the way the Reagan and Ron relationship(romantic relationship) And I know I might end up pissing off some shippers, who might have ended up liking them together. But they were doomed from the start and this was hinted at from the start of their relationship. I will go into more detail when I do the episode by episode analysis but if you look at it objectively it’s true. Now let me admit to you now that I am a Breagan shipper(and yes I will be talking about the few good moments we got this season) but the running theme for most of Reagan and Ron’s relationship was one them both wanting different things when it came to their careers and two stuff going wrong whenever an issue about their relationship came up. Ron made it clear from the beginning that he wanted out of working for the shadow government. He was tired and guilty and only stuck around longer because he fell in love with Reagan. He doesn’t want to stay and change things for the better because deep down he doesn’t think it is possible. Reagan in the meantime resents her job but deep down isn’t ready to give it up completely. She believes that she can change things for the better and wants to be in charge of making those changes happen. And even though she would be much better off walking away and forgetting her job and just being with Ron. She knows that she’ll never be able to completely stop because that’s who she is. And this is why their relationship would probably have never worked out. They were not on the same page from the very beginning. I do believe that overall this was a good relationship for Reagan to have in the long run but it was never healthy even Mothman pointed it out!

Now for the next important part of the season Rand’s progression and eventual downfall. While we can all agree that Rand is an asshole. This season goes out of its way to tell you that the reason for Rand’s behavior is because he wants what he believes to be his old happy life. To the point of rebooting reality just to get to a universe where both his ex-wife and daughter still love him. The downside is of course that nothing he does brings him what he wants it’s brings the gang to some of the things they think they want but they end up being wrong. And betraying the shadow government makes him end up in jail. This was a great example of how trying to make thing’s perfect for yourself could actually make everything else a lot worse. As for JR I would feel sorry for him if he hadn’t been willing to blow up the universe because he didn’t get an alternative perfect life. I do get why he is the way he is though!

Next we have the Reagan and Gigi friendship. No notes I loved it even though they try to explain away the change by pointing out that Reagan has no female friends. I thought it was sweet that Gigi was there for Reagan, giving her advice and helping out when needed. I hope their friendship continues.

Next Glenn, Myc and Andre, I’m grouping them all together because yes they have some good new developments here and there but they don’t really change overall. We just understand Myc slightly better after his High School reunion.

And now for all the Breagan shippers out there! I was worried going in that with Ron as Reagan’s love interest that there wouldn’t be any good Breagan shipping moments but god was I glad to be wrong! From Brett trying to get Reagan to go to therapy for her own good to Reagan being there to help Brett at least stand up a little to his family. To Reagan also deciding to keep her best friend out of danger and to Brett encouraging her to leave even though he would miss her was just pure shipping gold. (Again I will go into more detail in the episode by episode analysis) If the writers goal was to get me to ship them more then they succeeded! Because Reagan and Brett continue to have the most solid relationship of anyone in the show!

Final thoughts, while I know a lot of people were turned off by Ron I do think he was needed for Reagan’s journey(which wow kind of sounds missed up that way) I do like that he was a red herring, where I’m sure we all thought he was secretly a villain (or Reagan’s secret brother) we were all expecting him to turn on Reagan but he never did and that is nice. While I’m not sure if he would ever come back I think his ending made sense for what we learned about him. And despite being heartbroken right now I hope that Reagan will still eventually try to move on with someone else(cough Brett cough cough) I would hate to see her not trying to have a New Romantic relationship because she thinks Ron is the only person who could ever love her.

He would get jealous and possessive very easily.

Poor guy is so insecure of himself and often believes you can do better than settling down with him.

Rarely ever gets confrontational. But when he sees someone getting a little too close to you and getting too comfortable, he'll intervene.

But he does it in a way to where it's like a clingy puppy wanting attention. But also sounding just a teeny-tiny bit petty.

"Hey hun? Love? Not to be rude and interrupt this very lovely and interesting conversation but can we go now? Pretty please??" 🥺

Andre:

Does not get jealous easily but he does get pretty possessive sometimes!

He loves having an arm over your shoulders, around the waist, a hand on yours, on your hip. Just having any contact in general.

It's increased TENFOLD if someone makes a move on you, Andre will in fact be all over you. Kissing you out of the blue, calling you petnames, holding you pressed up against his body until the person finally gets the message.

If you try to call him out on it, he'll instantly get embarrassed because he didn't realize he was doing it.

Myc:

Oh boy...

Myc has literally got into verbal AND physical altercations for you.

Even if someone only so much as glanced at you in any negative or positive way, he'll start cursing them out.

It's worse if the person even thinks about you at all.

"COME ON BITCH! FIGHT ME! I KNOW YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT THEM!"

If you don't want anymore trouble than you already are, it's always best to drag Myc away and attempt to calm him down; with sweet words, a movie and some snacks.

If a fight happened anyways, he'll always say; "Bastard had it coming, no one gets to looks or think about you like that except me!"

Ron:

Ron is the the type to seethe when he gets jealous and will go eerily quiet. Going non-verbal as he holds your hand

Just staring down at the person with a glare, not even glancing away for a second. It's his way of saying; "Fuck right off."

When the person gets uncomfortable and finally leaves, Ron would huff and just stick by you the rest of the day.

If you ask him if he's OK, he'll lie and say he's fine.

But by the end of the day he does open up to you about it. And maybe even feel bad.

He tries not to let ot bottle up when he gets like that and actively tries to communicate with you when it starts to happen.

Rand:

This old bastard's ego needs to be in check at all times, so it's sorta?? A good thing for him to get jealous once and a while?🤷‍♂️

Listen, he's too narcissistic/egotistical for his own good, he needs to be reminded that you can do better than him.

Rand is a bit like both Ron and Myc.

Seething and glaring at first but eventually snaps at the person and will try to start a fight. No matter when or where it happens.

He just doesn't want to lose you like how he lost Tamiko and by extension; Reagan. You're too important and it always makes him insecure to even think about you leaving him for someone better.

J.R:

He is confident in your relationship and would usually get pretty cocky when he sees someone come up and try to woo you. Smirking and just watching with amusement.

The bastard is smug like that 😩

Though, there have been a few times he got worried when the person is younger than him. Since you are most likely younger than J.R, he's scared that you'll leave him for someone more your age.

So J.R always tends to get clingy like a Koala when he gets possessive, his arm always linked with yours. At the very least holding your hand.

By the time this person is done trying to impress you, J.R always has something quick-witted to say to either embarrass or even scare them off.

I’ve been wanting to write more so bad it’s just right now uni is kicking my ass and I’m so brain dead

But I do have a lot of stories and theories, and I’m sorta of waiting for the next season cause lots of content for jealous Brett

I really love them, and I feel like I’m right, that Reagan’s love interest is going to be very bad for her, it seems like when they’re together, Reagan becomes more destructive. It seems like they share a goal, but it’s something that’s slowly eating them both away. He is someone that brings our Reagan’s worst side, he enables her.

Meanwhile we see when she’s with Brett she’s so much more different. Brett is trying to understand where she’s coming from, trying to help her, I feel like Brett only does things that he feels are nesscarry cause he doesn’t want Reagan to turn into the person she hates most which is her dad. Plus, I mean, Brett is the only person, Reagan has wanted to hug/pyshcial contact with in the show, like in the 80’s ep.

I feel like Brett has feelings for Reagan, cause that same ep earlier when Brett was in a simulation the sim mom asked “and how about that giiiirl?” And he’s like “we’re just friends!” But again…it’s a sim, so like, Brett was projecting for the mother to say that, so…idk man, I just feel like he does have feelings for her.

I miss inside job sooooo much, but short story, yes I really want to get back to writing some jealous Brett x Reagan, or just stories in Gen, and want to write a little more on my family au of them

*tw: parental death* born to king edmund and queen alexis, rulers of the dark kingdom, horace eugene fitzherbert was meant to be a prince. but when an opal dropped down to their land and began to wreak havoc, the king had made the decision to destroy it. in a failed attempt to do just that, an event that ultimately killed horace's mother and destroyed the kingdom, the king had no choice but to send the citizens away for their own safety - including his infant son.

he grew up in an orphanage in corona and went by his middle name, eugene, although to this day he's under the impression it's his first and he has no middle. with nothing but his imagination to fill in the blanks of his past, eugene grew up to focus on helping the other kids at the orphanage and dream of his parents as heroes meant to come back from him when the time was right.

at seventeen, he escaped the orphanage and left a past he knew nothing about behind, adopting the moniker flynn rider (after his favorite storybook character) and went on to leave eugene fitzherbert and all of his undiscovered history behind.

the trials of adulthood came fast and flynn realized way too quickly just how much money and resources were needed for daily survival. he quickly adapted, however, when he found himself surrounded by people who could teach him how to do just that - by taking it himself.

this new life of theft got him in trouble, of course, the kingdom of corona eventually becoming littered with wanted posters that donned his gorgeous face. there was something exciting about this extended era of, well, running from the cops - but it catches up with him eventually. it's, in part, what makes him run to elias.

as soon as flynn gets to elias, he runs into reagan - a girl he had only met once before but managed to make a permanent impression on him all the same. when he found her unexpectedly, locked away in a tower - it turned into a 3-day adventure that started with an escape heist and ended in a lantern festival he could never forget. showed him a side of himself he never got a chance to see before. reuniting with the girl only brings that out in him again.

the move from corona to elias allows for a bit of a flynn rider soft reset. allows him to find the adventure without the risk of wanted posters flying around elias, too.

what's to come ;

at this time, flynn has no idea of his royal background. he had learned to accept, in his own way, that he wouldn't know about his birth parents or the life stripped from him when he was dropped off at the orphanage. he had created the story himself in his head and was okay with accepting that as fact. but soon, the truth behind the downfall of the dark kingdom will unveil itself. king edmund has been waiting on the right time to potentially revive the land. and when he does - the dark kingdom will need its prince.  // this will be updated later, but for now you can read about flynn learning of his lineage ( and not believing it ! ) here .

Now let's get to the serious topics.

First of all, Reagan's relationship with Ron is just sad. Tragic even. But I've noticed a pattern with Reagan's behavior in this season and this is honestly concerning. When she suddenly took off Brett's tinfoil hat in s2e7, when she erased Ron's memories and literally tricked him about his life, without his consent...

She's making decisions for everyone and justifies herself by saying that this for their own good. And now the robes gave her to decide and do whatever she wants if it's better for humanity. She can now raise plagues, start a genocide or a war if it means this the best for the humanity, and she'll be supported by everyone in the Deep State, we've seen how they've reacted with her being the boss. And I believe this'll bite her back hard.

Now let's talk about the finale....

WHAAAAAA-

SO THE ROBES WILL BE THE BIG BAD OF THE STORY?!

Honest, we should've seen that coming with all these remarks about them not being human throughout this season. So Reagan is clearly a pawn there (she was before too, all thing's considered, but that's not the topic). Even though I hate Rand, he was actually trying to get Reagan to the top, so with him and JR being in prison, the most experienced ones about the Robes, there's quite literally no one that can put some sense into her, because there is no one left in the company that is above her or at least has some authority over her.

I'm planning to make a theory post about the Robes, but let me just say that I believe, their whole story about them being the smarties who actually protect the world, is just bullsh*t. We see Reagan's biggest flaw in the very first episode, which is thinking she is the smart one and what she does is actually protecting others even when they can't see it, so they're playing straight to her ego.

This is all I have in my mind for now, I'm actually going to make character analysis for Inside Job because this is getting interesting...
