Its been about a week ago since Joe had attacked your poor cheek and persons with his cutesy bullyingâŚ.
And youâve been making good on your vow to get him back.
By inconveniencing him in every way you could.
Letting your intrusive thoughts win every time, It had gotten so bad that even the boys on the team knew about it.
Shorty especially got a kick out of it.
Like that time when Joe came to practice with red lips all over the ass of his shorts, kissed personally by yours truly.
âThat colorâs workin for you Rantz!â, he teases as some of others whistle when they catch on. Joe, however, is confused.
âWhat are you talkinâ about?â
The very mature answer he gets, comes in the form of various obnoxious kissing sounds.
Theyâre on their way to the boat when he catches one of his coaches try and fail to hide their smirk before he notices his reflection out the corner of his eye in the water. Breath catching in his throat, heâs flushing the same shade of red when sees it.
The deep red, lip-shaped stains all over the seat of his shorts. He had so many questions but none of them about who left them.
He had some clues as to why but not how. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning.
From leaving marks on his persons without him catching on, getting him riled up then leaving, pinching his butt and messing with him by insisting you didnât know what he was talking about when he called you on it; to spraying the inside of his backpack with your perfume and watching him freeze in class the next day when he opens it and your scent, along with a few choice memories tied to it, hit him in the face. Looking away quickly when he snaps his head up at you.
And you deserved an award for how well youâd play good girl. Wiping the smirk off your face with record speed, assuming the look of utmost innocence before looking up at him through your lashes. Pouting, âwhy Iâd never, honest.â
To prove that you definitely would, Joe decided to test you. Doing everything you like in a day and seeing if youâd tease and flit away or jump him like you usually did.
You were both out in the water after the sun had gone down and you were sitting in his lap while he tried to âteachâ you how to row.
Blanks werenât the only thing about to get filled.
Until, you push away from his wandering hands and lips to sit as far as you can.
Pinching your lips in as you smile, âwell look at the time. Guess we should be heading back now..â and thatâs when he gets it.
âYouâre still mad huh? Thatâs why youâve been actinâ up so much.â Of course you let him off the hook. It was so you could get him back.
Then since the jig is upâŚ
âDuh Iâm still mad! You laughed at me for like 10 minutes straight! YouâŚyou bullied me,â dropping your voice at that last line, so he can hear the pout.
Smiling, Joe shakes his head with a huff amusement. Thereâs his dramatic girl. Making sure the oars are secure, he reaches across and pulls you back into him.
âAlright sweets. I shouldnât have laughed like that. That wasnât very nice of me, to you, whoâs never bothered me.â You definitely have bothered him and on multiple occasions but heâs being sweet and a little sarcastic which is your weakness. Youâre just too fond of him. Breaking into a grin, you giggle prettily. Making his heart swell in adoration as he looks at you.
âForgive me?â Obviously. You throw your arms around his neck, nodding happily.
The war was officially over.
âGood. Now, was the lunchbox with âfrom your big sexy girlfriend who wears the pants in the relationshipâ written on top of it necessary?â Ahh yes. You may have went a drop overboard.
But if itâs one thing you are: itâs shameless and unrepentant. Blushing, you nod again.
âAbsolutely necessaryâ.
Pecking his full lips and pulling away with a wink.
Cheeky. What was he going to do with you?
Grabbing the oars with you snuggled happily in his lap, Joe starts to row you two back. Feeling content that out of everyone you could have been âinconveniencingâ with the loveliness of your presence, you chose him.
Itâs that thought with the feel of you cuddled all over him that has him grinning ear to ear all the way back.

Two Thirds of a Whole
Here's a relatively inconsequential scene in my lovely little spones fic where McCoy gets transported to an alternate universe where he never joined the Enterprise. The fic explores what that would be like for a while, then he and Spock make out <3
-
McCoy took a breath and tried to be calm. âWell, if it doesn't work we'll just have to try again,â he said through gritted teeth.
Spock walked across the room, infuriatingly calm. He carried a tray of whatever meal McCoy had managed to ask for. âHow many times do you suggest?â
âAs many times as it takes, I've got a life there!â McCoy hit the table angrily, making the glasses jump and shake.
Spock just raised his eyebrows, then placed the tray down. It did smell nice.
âNaturally we will try, but as we rely on their performing the same action we cannot be sure of their success.â
The door to Spock's slid open, revealing Jim. Spock turned, looked for a moment, then nodded and returned his attention to McCoy.
âAnd we cannot remain forever,â Spock said.
McCoy glared at Spock. âJim, sit down.â
Spock glared right back at McCoy. âCaptain.â
âMr Spock,â Jim said softly, âthank you for the invitation.â
âHush,â McCoy snapped. âThere's a Spock on that ship too, and two Scotty's! Why's there a thing wrong with expecting them to pull it off?â
Spock turned on his heel and stalked back to the kitchen. As he went he called out, âYou should be taught the difference between empiricism and stubbornness, Doctor.â
Jim sat hesitantly, watching Spock walk away. As he disappeared into the kitchen Jim turned back to McCoy, mouth opening to speak.
McCoy had shit to say first, though. He stood out of his chair slightly, yelling after Spock. âIt ain't hope, it's trust! I've seen them workinâ, you're no more special than my Spock is! Not that I'd expect you to understand, I can't imagine faith ever disturbing those computer-coded brainwaves of yours.â
Spock had emerged while McCoy shouted and placed a tray of condiments on the table.
âWhy thank you, Doctor McCoy,â Spock said smartly. âI will accept that as the end of the conversation. Captain, would you like a drink?â
Jim croaked for a second, then said, âCall me Jim, I'm off duty. And thank you.â
McCoy sat down heavily. âNotice he didn't let me have the last word,â he muttered as Spock left to collect something for Jim to drink. âEnd of the conversation my ass.â
âBoy, you donât know how to let up, do you?â Jim muttered.
âNor does he,â McCoy spat back. He spoke up as Spock returned. âYou've got a fair idea of how to set the transporter up, yes, Spock?â
Spock sat, water pitcher refreshed and a glass for Jim on the table. He began serving out the meal. âYes.â
âAh,â Jim said, âit won't be ready for this window, but should be saying farewell in eight hours or so.â
âAnd I'll be teary about it,â McCoy said.
Spock rolled his eyes. McCoy glared at him.
âWhat is this?â Jim asked.
âPickled tea leaves and beans,â Spock said.
âBut I ask,â McCoy continued, interrupting the change of topic, âbecause why shouldn't my crew have the same set up?â
âI do not suggest that they will fail,â Spock said easily, âI merely asked what you would do if they did. It is possible, Doctor, you must admit it.â
âI don't admit it. Eat, kid,â he added, nodding at Jim, âdoesn't anyone on this boat bring you food? Spock, direct order, make this man have one solid meal a day.â
âYou cannot order me,â Spock said.
âNo, you can't.â Jim said.
âDon't agree with Spock just to spite me!â
âI mean it,â Jim said, smiling. He had food in his fork at least. âYou can't give orders on this ship. Dead men walking are outside the command structure. What would you do, though? I'm curious too.â
If he couldn't get back home. McCoy sighed. âI don't know. I suppose things aren't so different here as they are back home. I'd miss the friendship we have, Jim.â
Jim swallowed. âWe could be friends. This is good, Spock.â
âThank you, Jim.â
âSpock I only met seven or so years back,â McCoy said, âI've known you more than half my life. I don't think we'd ever get the twang of that back.â
âNo, likely not,â Jim agreed. âSeven years, so you're also on your second mission?â
âCan't believe Jim talked me into it, but here I am.â
Spock frowned at him across the table. âYou do not enjoy it?â
âI know your ears get all tingly when a black hole does something silly, but it just freaks me out. I'm in it for the people. And the nothing else to go back to.â He nudged the serving spoon towards Jim. âEat more.â
âYou need to eat too,â Jim muttered.
âI'll eat once I think you're okay, so get to it.â McCoy paused, then, quite intentionally said, âIt's not like there's a shortage of food here.â
Jim stared at him. McCoy broke first and looked over at Spock.
âYou feel confident about the transporter, Spock?â
âNo.â
âWhat?â
âI feel nothing about the transporter, the science is- â
McCoy hit the table. âOh, you know it's a turn of phrase!â
âI pride myself in my accuracy.â
âPride's a sin.â
âSin is a human construct. Besides, that was simply a turn of phrase.â
âFucking Vulcans,â McCoy spat. âWould you answer the question?â
Spock smirked. âAssuming they transport successfully too, I calculate success at 97%â
McCoy sat back smugly, sharing a smile with Jim. âI'll take those odds.â
here's another link if you've clicked the readmore and are hankering to go right on through to the fic

jesse!!! hi!! i have one very important question for you: AREâźď¸YOU đŤľđź DANđ§ââď¸REYNOLDSđ¤âď¸
(okay now for my real question, whatâs your fav hatchetfield installment?? it could be a musical or nightmare time ep or even workinâ boys if youâve seen it :] iâm curious!! oh also if you want you can tell me about orin, iâm vaguely familiar with lsoh but itâs been a while!! so yea, free pass to talk about your lil gay sadist of a dentist <3 this was just an excuse to give you an ask so yk you can really just talk about whatever)
SOL! Hi hi hi hi !! (Sorry for the late response)
OHOHO! A dual fandom ask !! This means another long rambling post for my four most dedicated followers to read!!!! Im sorry in advance!!! this will probably be boring to everyone but me!!!!
I think my favorite might be NPMD. That one changed my brain chemistry for sure. But so did TGWDLM, I really believe that watching Show Stopping Number at the tender age of, like 11⌠well it just explains a lot about how i turned out ([obligatory âfuck Robert manionâ]). I also frequently shake Time Bastard, Killer Track, and Abstinence Camp around in my teeth like a dog like HAUUFHGIGJHJGKKGKFGKRGJ RFRRRGJGG RRHHRHHRHH HREHHEGEGHGRGHRHHHHFFNFHFGGHF like that. But yeah at the present moment I'm being insane about NPMD. The songs are all bangers (Yes all of them) and I am in love with every character (Yes every character). High School is Killing Me is kind of my anthem right now. For no. Particular reason. Also, your honor those three nerds are all literally me and also i am in love with them and also im that fucked up dead bully but in a totally normal way.
So. Speaking of fucked up dead bullies⌠â,:]
Orin Scrivello, DDS <3 my beautiful bbg who has never done anything wrong in his life except for literally everything he did. Worst guy ever. But hey, you canât choose who you rotate around in your brain, or how many Pinterest boards you make about it. Another instance of âheâs literally me but obviously not actually at all but I think heâs silly so thatâs basically the same thing.â A tale as old as time. I donât know how many queer awakenings one person can have but I was definitely already trans and bi when I saw Orin for the first(?*) time last year, and now, well now im the same but im more pretentious about it and I own a leather jacket. (*I actually saw LSOH a long time ago when i was way younger, but I didnât remember it almost at all and Iâd thought âThe Dentistâ was like this mad scientist type character, which, not exactly wrong ig, so anyway heâs been swimmin around in my brain making me silly for who knows how long, but yeah probably just since last year). I swear to cope with hyperfixating on such a fucked up character Iâve literally been making auâs in my brain where heâs morally ambiguous, or gets a redemption arc (he does not fucking deserve a redemption arc he deserves to be chopped up and fed to a bitchy gay plant), or where heâs literally just a nice guy. Yeah Iâll sometimes just remove the character from this character to appease the brain demons. But the cool thing about the Not an Assholeâ˘ď¸ AUs is that, in the og, the whole story basically goes south when Seymour justifies killing to feed the plant cause he can kill that jerk Orin, so if heâs not a jerk maybe they all survive?? Idk i just like thinkin. Also⌠ALSO!.. I made a post a while ago that I might someday make Orin textpost memes using pictures from my actual stage production, and well, that day has come! or, will come, soon. Iâve made the pictures I just have to make the post. It was very fun Im excited to share em. Okay thats all TYSM for the ask bestie!!!
Oh and to address your first questionâŚ
I đ§đť AM đĽ DANđ§ââď¸REYNOLDS đ¤ â

hi!! aplogies if this is pushing but i really really really love your michie fic titled âHĚśeĚśrĚśâ and i was wondering if youâre planning on updating it at some point?? no pressure i just love the premise a lot and i am HOOKED
[also i really hope i have the right blog lol]
Okay, so first off. Right blog? Yes and no? I am the person who wrote Her, but this is more of my... sci-fi, supernatural blog? Which I suppose NPMD could key into, but it's much more sitcoms and movies. (Also just my personal rants, vents and other bullshit)
That being said, I've gotten a confused person looking for my musical theatre blog enough times that I definitely should create a pinned post including my other blogs.
My musical theatre blog, for future reference, is @im-not-a-l0ser . Very fitting if you ask me ^-^
Anyway! About your question! I do plan on updating it at some point, I just don't know when that point will be. Something that keeps me on top of my stories is writing chapters in advance so I don't get burnout. Example, I'm writing Beanies right now and there are nine chapters posted. Chapter 10 is complete, but I haven't yet finished chapter 11, so I'm not posting Chapter 10, and Chapter 11 won't be out until Chapter 12 is complete. (This also allows me to double-post chapters when I'm finishing a book, although this has not actually happened yet.)
I did not start doing this until after starting Her. I'm stuck with Her, because I don't know what direction I'm going into, and I don't know where to start. Also doesn't help that my parents were never formally divorced (they have 6 kids and had been married for over 20 years by the time they separated; can't blame them) so I really don't know anything about the process. I know it's long and gruelling and stuff, but I don't know how quickly I'd be able to just gloss over it. But I suppose maybe Gary Goldstein (Attorney At Law) is a good enough lawyer to get it wrapped up real quick lol.
I understand that Her is more of an angst and trans-comfort gold mine, but feel free to take a peak into my other books, which are updated slightly more frequently, such as Beanies or Zeek: The Fighting Nighthawk. Beanies is more building friendship secretly between them, while Zeek: The Fighting Nighthawk has them becoming friends with one under false identity (obviously, that's Zeek.) Beanies does also include the same character being trans, but it's not a major plot/talking point (yet). I really appreciate the support, I'm just going to be very busy between planning for pride and writing for Beanies (I have a trio of chapters coming out that I want to get out of the way before I pick up something else; I don't want burnt out on this before I even finish the pride event stories.)
If you want something of mine that's complete, I have a handful of one-shots, such as Dance with Death (spoilers for Workin' Boys and Abstinence Camp), Max Jagerman's Socks, r/TrueOffMyChest (you can actually find some backstory for that on my blog under an ask @/24-guy sent in), and Max Jagerman's Private Story.
I also have an ongoing porn saga but we're not gonna talk about that right now
Hi! If you follow me for LREF, Stranger Things, It, etc. and you for some reason read this whole thing. You should totally go watch the Hatchetfield musicals! If you like musicals (some people don't lmao)
If you're interested, they have a rich lore, many meta-jokes, and a currently active fandom which you might enjoy (looking at you LREF fandom. That is to say, like six people.)
If you are interested, it's The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, Black Friday, and Nerdy Prudes Must Die. They're all free on YouTube, recorded by the creators and they're all absolutely fantastic IMO. Watch them in that order though! If you don't, you'll be really confused! This is a trilogy (kinda), the world is the same (kinda), the previous shows give context for world building and jokes.
If you do watch them, please please come talk to me about it over on @im-not-a-l0ser . I do highly recommend blocking the tags though before you've finished them. Spoilers can happen really easily, and when it comes to Hatchetfield, something that might seem small or insignificant (or maybe just extremely confusing) probably means something pretty big overall.
(Ps, there's also a 'mini series' called Nightmare Time. It definitely gives some context and it expands upon Hatchetfield as a whole, but it's not technically necessary to watch. I'm not gonna force anyone to watch it, just because there's so goddamn much of it.)
#side note: locker rooms and fantasies has 15 bookmarks??? why???#and why aren't there more comments if there are 15 bookmarks??? /hj#nerdy prudes must die#michie#-her-#max jagerman#richie lipschitz#trans richie lipschitz#can you tell i tried to keep the man part vague and stuff so that my other followers wouldn't get spoilers in case they wanted to watch?#highkey need everyone to watch the hatchetfield trilogy#anyone feel free to use my writing strategy it scary works#i mean i just didn't really expect it to work that well#might not work for you but no harm in trying

Goromi Character Story
I really liked this one even if it was a pain in the ass to translate. Damn all that kansai slang! I have some pics to go with this one unlike the Goromi Event where I forgot to take any screencaps.
Character stories are split into three parts with a fight in each part, and this one will be a little more paraphrased because thereâs a lot of back and forth dialogue that doesnât matter too much. Hereâs Goromiâs card!
Summary: Turns out it takes several days for Kiryu to actually show up to club SHINE to meet Goromi (heâs busy!) so Goromi spends her time working there and taking care of problems. Sheâs not the number one hostess for nothing!
<Part 1> <Majima Goro, as Goromi, has been working at club SHINE for several days now> The shop manager has been having to deal with this and he doesnât know what to do.
Majima shows up again, as usual, and the manager fumbles over himself on whether to say Majima or Goromi
He asks if Kiryu has shown up yet and Majima complains before heading to the back to get changed, where Goromi continues to complain that sheâs a good woman and Kiryu is a horrible lazy bum for standing her up for so long. Sheâs bored to death! (I wonder, does Majima leave the Goromi outfit at the club or take it with home each time?)
A rowdy customer comes in and makes a scene and Goromi steps in to wallop on him, because sheâs bored and he spilled a drink on her dress. <Fight Happens> Goromi wins, easily, and makes him leave his wallet. The manager pulls her into the backroom to tell her that she canât fight customers. Goromi counters that she canât allow a threat to women to go unchecked.Â
Another hostess on the floor shouts at a customer to stop because touching is forbidden. Goromi says that sounds like trouble, she might as well handle it since Kiryu hasnât shown up yet. The manager says absolutely not, those are Sakamoto Family men (probably, itâs not spoken out loud but Sakamoto is the most common reading).
The manager goes out to deal with it and gets hit by a Sakamoto Family goon for his trouble, but the guy leaves. Turns out the Sakamoto Family has been showing up a lot and never paying, and itâs a real pain. Goromi tells him to get his act together and fight back already! The manager says thereâs no way he can win, going along with them is the best way to protect the club. Goromi calls him a coward, and leaves. <Part 2>
<the next day> Majima once again shows up and has a brief struggle with the wig until... Tada! A perfect Goromi~â¤ď¸
Goromi is certain Kiryu-chan will show up today! He definitely will! ...Why the hell hasnât he shown up yet? She notices yet another unruly customer, once again a Sakamoto Family goon, hassling the manager, but this time she just watches. The manager tries to explain that the rules clearly state you arenât allowed to touch the hostesses, and gets hit for it again. He stands back up, repeats himself, and gets punched another time. The goon grabs the hostess and says theyâre going to the bathroom together.
Goromi steps in to stop him, but the manager beats her to it, and finally hits the guy back. Heâs remembering what Goromi-san said to him... Heâs not going to run away!!
<Fight Happens>
Manager gets his ass KICKED, goon taunts him and says heâd never win in a million years. Manager gets back up anyways, tells him he has to leave... just in time for the patriarch of the Sakamoto Family to arrive. Heâs heard this is a fun place, and wants to sit with a lady ASAP. His goon shouts at the manager, the manager fumbles, and Goromi steps in.
Sakamoto thinks this is just great, that eyepatch is really getting his fighting spirit going! His lackey is less sure. The manager tries to step in, Goromi cuts him and says sheâll be his hostess tonight. Sakamoto is falling over himself trying to offer Goromi a seat, heâs just smitten.
The manager wonders what Goromi is up to...
<Part 3>
We start off immediately with Sakamoto telling Goromi how cute she is, and how much he likes her, and that sheâs got a real tight lil butt.
âStoooop~, ya pervy patriarchâ¤ď¸âÂ
Sakamoto says he really like Goromi, too many girls nowadays would throw a fit if he grabbed their ass. The manager is wondering what the hell is going on, why is Goromi being so nice??
Sakamoto asks what kind of men Goromi likes. She likes strong, beefy guys, of course! Sakamoto says that sheâs gonna love him then. Sakamoto: I was the strongest guy in his whole town! Iâve heard that the strongest guy in Kamurochoâs the patriarch of the Majima family, some moron named Majima Goro. Goromi: Oh, is that so? Sakamoto: Iâm pretty sure him being crazy strongâs just a silly rumor though. If I were up against him itâd be like beating up a baby. Goromi: Woahhhh, thatâs so cool~Â đľ All that strength is really making my heart beat fast~
Sakamoto lets Goromi order whatever she likes from the menu. The manager worries that sheâs going to order a fight! But no, she just asks for Don Perignon, the most expensive thing on the menu. And she convinces him to get 10 bottles of it.
<2 hours pass>
Sakamoto: Bahaha! Goromi-chan, you're the best girl of them all! Goromi: Before ya go I got one more thing for ya Mr. Patriarch! Sakamoto: Ehhhh, is it a kiss~ Goromi: It's your bill! Sakamoto: Ah....? Haha, great joke Goromi-chan! Goromi: It ain't no joke! Between the drinks and the service... you've racked up 5 million yen. How would ya like to pay that? Sakamoto: Now hold on, I ain't payin' that! Even if you're cute!! Goromi: Eh, you really won't pay? Sakamoto: No! I absolutely will not pay!! Goromi: So that mean's you're not a customer now, is that right?
Goromi: Since you're not a customer, Goromi can be a little... rough Sakamoto: Tch, boys, let's teach this lady a little discipline! Goromi: Discipline....? Idiots, Goromi is the butterfly that dances in the night. I don't take orders from anyone, especially morons like you!! <Fight Happens, Goromi obliterates them> Sakamoto: You, you're actually...! Goromi: What are ya talking about? I'm Goromi, Kamurocho's number one hostess. Goromi: If you disrespect the women of this city... I'll show you a world of hurt. Sakamoto: W-Wahhhhh!! P-Please forgive me!! Goromi: From now on you're banned. Don't let me see your face here again. Got it? Sakamoto: Y-yes ma'am! I understand! P-Please excuse me... Goromi: Wait. You still got a bill to pay. Sakamoto: Wh- um, well, I don't have that much right now... Goromi: Haw? Then why'd you eat and drink so much! You got some nerve takin' whatever ya fancied. But... I could forgive ya if you go on an after hours date with me. Sakamoto: ...Eh? Goromi: Until the money's collected, we're going on dates. ...Be prepared.Â
<the next day> Manager: Majima-san, thank you so much. Goromi: Eh? What're you talkin' about. This is just Goromi gettin' paid properly for her work. Manager: Ah. I see. Goromi: And... I'm glad you stood up for your girls. Ya finally showed your guts. You've got a real good crew here, keep workin' to be the best. Manager: Th-thank you so much! Uhuuuuuu! Goromi: Don't get all emotional and cry! I'm countin' on having your full cooperation when it comes to fighting Kiryu-chan! Manager: Yes ma'am! By all means.  Door Greeter: Maji- I mean, Goromi-san! K-Kiryu-san is coming here!! Goromi: Ohh, nice timing! Well, let's do this thing! Manager: Yes! <Goromi goes to greet Kiryu at the door> Goromi: Heyyy, it's Goromi~ Â
<END>
Another bonus fact that relates to both this and the event: the rggo twitter put up a poll asking everyone which of these girls was their favorite
(Lady that does the gatcha rolls, Mayumi from rggoâs story, Yuki, and badly photoshopped Goromi)
in a shock to no one reading this, Goromi obliterated the vote, coming in just shy of 80%...
...which was apparently a shock to the staff! They immediately tweeted "Goromi got 80%...! What a crazy result đľ We're having an emergency planning meeting now. Thank you all for voting so much!"
I have to wonder if this was a turning point in how they wrote Goromi, with the event and substory presenting her as not strictly a one off occurrence! Maybe the fan enthusiasm got them to take her a little more seriously

I was thinking how the boys would react to Roy being the leader of monster hunting commission. Since from a young age their were very aware of the danger of human with big guns. Theyâre only kids so these hunters only appear to be one dimensional characters that for no reason sought out to kill them. But there isnât reason to worry! Theyâre Mama is strong and sheâll protect them without hesitation. Having seen in person her kill people for them, they are have no reaction to blood or gore, as happy go lucky they are, they are the most unhinge kids ever, that even shocks and scares Roy. Just like Roy they had a epiphanyďżź when they found out they was more to theyâre suppose sworn enemy. When they find out Royâs true identity it comes to a shock, because monster hunters and Roy are opposite of the spectrum of good and evil, with Roy being the purest of the purest. Monster hunters are these monsters who kill innocent people and Roy is one of themâŚ.but they come to accept him due to the lack of their motherâs present panic (sheâs is hiding it for their sake), Roy telling them stories of how he slayed demonic beasts, their classmates express their envy and admiration for the fact their dad is a hero and the most looked up man in town, the way townspeople treat him like royalty (bowing their head, clearing their way for him in a packed crowd, etc), watching him command and lead his men like a true role mode. So how can they possible hate him? Really it just breaks their prejudice of monster hunters. After, getting settling into Royâs home, she was force to quit her job at the diner but instead moved to become his own personal secretary at the commission his reasoning âwhy slave away for pocket change, when you can be workinâ for me. God knows what can happen if Iâm not there, this is for youâ. She doesnât understand the danger of nosey and judgmental townspeople whether it be her lack of social cues or lack of interest. Sheâs feels iffy being somewhere for hours knowing that only a couple feet away her of powerful men who can easily put her down if her identify is revealed. Roy dolls her up. Fixing her hair, slight makeup and put her in the most prettiest and modest dress of the many tailored dresses she owns. When they finally arrive it doesnât take Roy long to have all his men come around for a sec for a public introduction. âThis here is my woman. She going to be here often, regardless if sheâs here or not sheâll be treated with respect and kindness. I donât think I need to explain how itâs gonna go down if I hear otherwiseâ. They all respond with a âyes sir!â. He shows her around, the break room, where they keep all theyâre weapons (he tries to hide the smug smirk on his face but sheâs utterly terrified), his office and finally her little desk which is couple feet away from his. He basically have her do paperwork for him, and despite her initial skepticism it wasnât so bad. He was patient with her, letting her take her time, reassured her, praised her and encourage her. Soothing her anxiety. She finally get to see him in a different light from his light hearted and playful attitude to more of an authoritarian. Itâs a drastic change but she kinda likesâŚ. Something about him able to captivate people, especially a huge amount of strong and threatening men, to listen to him and respect him. Really Alpha Male đŞ đşđđđ. I came up with this at work. Hope you like it.
Aaa sorry it took so long to respond to this!! đ
These unhinged boys-- I mean, it's almost like they're perfect for roy? They're used to violence, have never had a father figure, and they all appear to get along pretty well. And since this kids can already see others with this one dimensional, childish outlook on life--as children do-- I doubt it would be hard for roy to manipulate them into thinking that he only "kills bad monsters" and he'll keep them safe from the people who want to hurt them, whether that's hunters or creatures of their own race. Though I wonder how long it takes them to get over the fact that roy is a hunter? Considering their entire life they've been fed the idea that hunters are out to kill them, I wonder if it would take them some time to fully trust roy again, or if he has them hooked around his finger so well that they dont question his views on keeping them safe even if he is a hunter.
I love that they look up to him even if it's just because of their own naivety đ. Its so sweet, and for a second you might think they're a normal family where his ''sons' want to be just like him. I can imagine them slowly morphing into little Roys, wearing similar clothes and acting more confident; but itd be interesting to see if that's because of their own free will, or if Roy is gently, subconsciously manipulating them from behind the scenes. Goodness knows that having the reader see her children turn into a man she fears would not be fun.
And having the reader become his secretary? That honestly almost sounds like the ultimate threat. It's such a good decision though to keep her in his clutches. It would be 10 times harder for her to try and flee or to ask for help if the people surrounding her dont have any intention of letting those things happen.
Roy is like the top dog though, so I'm curious to know that if someone were to find out about her, if theyd even do anything about it. I like how much of a leader he is, having everyone respect him almost as if he was a savior amongst them, and the mostly domineering man amongst his fellow hunters, like he was the epitome of masculinity to which they look up to lol.

Guilty until proven innocent:
Chapter Eight:
TW: mentions of drugs and drug use, hanging
âSo you see it too, right? You believe me?â Cassandra bit her lip nervously. She needed Halt to believe her. If he didnât, then there would be no chance of her getting out of the castle.
âYes. I believe you. I just donât know how we will be able to prove it by dawn. Right now, everything we have is circumstantial.â
âDawn? Why by dawn?â
Halt closed his eyes. âYour father is holding a trial to determine Willâs fate. It is set to start at dawn.â Guilty consumed Halt. How could he have believed Will would betray his country? How could Halt let it go this far?
Cassandra drew in a sharp breath. âOkay, so thereâs no time to waste. I donât need to be at the trial, Iâll tell my father that I am too upset to leave my room. Heâll believe me. I am going to sneak out and get our prove.â
âThat is absolutely not going to happen.â
âHalt, this is Willâs only chance. I know what I need to do. We canât say anything until we have evidence, it will just look like a desperate ploy to delay the trial.â
âWhich it kind of is.â
âNow that the trial has been announced publicly, the only thing that can stop what is about to happen is solid evidence that Will didnât do any of this, and the man who did.â
âFine. Then why donât you tell me what you need and I will do it. I canât let you get hurt doing this.â
âHalt, Will is going to die if I donât leave right now. I donât have time to explain it all to you and to write a letter that you will need to deliver on my behalf. I am visiting an old friend, no going into a Skandian battlefield. I am not willing to risk Willâs life, are you?â
He wasnât. So he went along with her plan and kept it a secret. And then he prayed that he wasnât about to watch his son die.
********
Keren had been smart and paranoid, a dangerous combination. He knew there was a chance his plan would fail. And he knew that if it did, it would be Ranger Will Treatyâs fault. So he created a contingency plan. A way to get revenge on the young ranger, even from the grave. He found a recently retired ranger by the name of Jethro who apparently had a bitter grudge against Ranger Halt and his former apprentice and a nasty gambling debt. After promising to pay off the debt, Keren persuaded Jethro to assist him. The two of them wrote letters detailing Kerenâs plan to betray the country, even creating plans to assassinate the royal family. With the experienced ranger on his side and a sample of Willâs handwriting, it was easy to create an endless trail of evidence that proved Will was an accomplice to Kerenâs treason.
But there was something missing. Keren knew that there were many who were loyal to Ranger Treaty. He needed something that would make them all doubt Will. Then the solution came to him in the form of a drunk John Buttle. The man had spent time as a Skandian prisoner, and after one too many drinks, he was complaining about his experience to some of his companions.
âBut apparently once youâre off their wretched ships, they drug you up to your eyeballs so you keep workinâ in the cold. Happenâs to all of thems. Coulda used some damn warmweed on that blasted ship.â He slurred.
Ranger Jethro had been with Keren when they had overheard Buttle.
âTreaty was a Skandian slave as a boy. It should have ended his apprenticeship, instead, it made him a hero.â He grumbled jealousy. Like a flash, Keren had the final piece of the puzzle.
Warmweed
He couldnât be sure that Will had partaken in the drug use, but if he had, and if it was known, it would give those in charge the final push they needed to arrest Will.
Keren had given Jethro clear instructions on what to do in the event of his death. Go straight to Willâs cabin and hid his side of the evidence. Then send an anonymous package of proof to Crowley. After that, it was out of their hands. But Keren was certain that his plan for revenge was faultless.
And he was almost right. He would have been if it hadnât been for Princess Cassandra.
No one knew about Willâs time in Skandia better than Cassandra. She had watch him break. And she had put him back together. So when Crowley found warmweed in Willâs cabin, she knew it was an attempt to frame Will. Because yes, she knew that Will was struggling. But she also knew that the mental destruction from the forced drug use had left itâs mark on Will, and he would never risk a relapse. So she studied every single piece of evidence Crowley and his guards had brought back from the Seacliff cabin. And she found the truth in a letter planning her own demise. It was, to be more specific, in the âCâ of âCassandraâ. For as long as they have known each other, Will had alway written the first letter of her name with a small loop at the top. Even in official documents, he couldnât stop the ink from curling in around itself. But he only ever did that with her C. So, if someone were to copy Willâs penmanship using a letter they found, they wouldnât know to add the loop.
But that wasnât enough and she knew it. So she kept digging. And eventually she found a single, tiny note on the back of a letter. It looked rushed and smudged, as if the writer was merely writing it down as to not forget what was on his mind. But unfortunately for this writer, the paper he has thought was just a scrap, was the back of a letter that was packed into an envelope and sent off to Castle Araluen. And that forgotten note was the key to Willâs freedom.
Caraway Feif, warmweed, JJ Miller, 50 silver pieces
Baron Wilmont of Caraway was known to be harsh and extremely difficult to deal with (and he apparently hated rangers), but he adored his daughter, Lila, who happened to be a dear friend of Cassandraâs. So when Cassandra laid out her plan to Halt, she knew that she would have to be the one to go to Caraway and find this âJJ Millerâ. It was clear to Cassandra that this Miller character was the person that had supplied the warmweed that was planted in Willâs cabin.
After telling her father she couldnât possibly face the trial (which wasnât a lie) she snuck away to Caraway, hoping that she would find what she was looking for.
********
Horace and Gilan were forced to leave the dungeon just before dawn broke. They were brought out to the courtyard where a crowd had already started to gather.
The only thing people love more than a hero is watching him fall, Gilan thought bitterly.
The podium and noose were already erect and surrounded by guards. Horace caught a glimpse of silver blonde hair across the crowd and he shoved his way through to the other side of the courtyard, Gilan following closely. Alyss was pacing and biting at her cuticles.
âYou shouldnât be here Alyss. Really. He wonât want you here.â Horace said as he placed a hand on her arm.
âI canât leave him now. This is going to be the worst day of his life, Iâm not going to make him do it alone.â
âBut it might be easier on him if he knows that you arenât here to see it.â Gilan says gently.
Alyss pushed her shoulders back and Horace immediately knew that there would be no changing her mind now. âI have known Will all of our lives. I was there in the beginning and I will be here for the end.â Tears started to form in her eyes.
Nodding, Horace wrapped her in his arms to comfort her. âIt will be-âHe stopped. He was about to say, it will be okay out of habit, but then realized that it wonât be okay. It will never be okay again because within the hour, Will will be dead and that could never be okay. So instead he said, âIt will be awful. But we will get through it because thatâs what Will wants.â
The three of them were joined by George and Jenny, who had apparently heard the news from George when he left Redmont and had made the journey to Castle Araluen the next day. Gilan moved to hug her but she bypassed him, squeezing Alyss tightly instead. He dropped his arms and stepped back. Looking at the four people in front of him, he suddenly felt as if he was interrupting. These were four siblings about to watch their brother die. As much as Gilan viewed Will as his little brother, he had only known him for five years, which didnât seem like very much compared to George, Jenny, Alyss, and Horace. They had grown up with Will. They had always been there for each other. Just as Gilan was about to leave to give them some privacy, Jennyâs hand shot out from the embrace she was still sharing with Alyss. She grabbed hold of the end of his cloak and said, âDonât you dare go anywhere. When Will comes out, he is going to look over here and see all of the people who love him and believe him, and we are all going to stand together so he doesnât have to look anywhere else.â
And just like that, he was part of their family.
********
Cassandra rode harder and faster then she ever had. Halt had given her Tug (along with his code phrase), so that she could make the trip in time, and it was as if Tug understood the seriousness of the matter. The little horse ran as if he had wings on his hooves. But Cassandra knew that they would still be cutting it close. The sun hadnât come up yet, but the sky had just started to lighten and she still wasnât home. It had taken her longer then she had expected to gather all of her evidence, but she had uncovered more than she had even hoped for, and now she was racing against time to get back and save Will.
********
Will was escorted onto the stage and walked to the center. A noose was slipped around his neck. He didnât fight them. It was too late for a fight. The crowd was gathered. The guards were at attention. There was only one way out and it was through. He looked out at the crowd and found his friends clumped together on the edge of the courtyard. He didnât want them to see what was about happen, but selfishly he was glad to see a few friendly faces looking back at him.
âAny last words?â The executioner asked.
Will thought for a moment. He could have begged for mercy. He could have declared his innocence. He could have cursed the king. He could have said a lot of things.
But Will had already given his last words to his brothers, so instead he just silently shook his head.
âAlright then. In that case, letâs finish this.â The man grabbed the latch that would release the floor from underneath Will. Closing his eyes, he took a steadying breath.
âWAIT!â Cassandra screamed as she pushed her way through the crowd.
Will opened his eyes and saw her racing towards the stage. Then the floor dropped out from under him.

Y/N and Harryâs relationship was wonderful. Since making things official a month ago, the two of them had spent a lot of time together and though not many people knew about them being a couple, they made sure they formed a bond that went beyond what other people thought. Y/N was constantly over at Harryâs house and to her surprise, her mother was okay with it. Of course, she would have wanted to see the two of them together in person herself, but she had met Harry before. She knew that whenever they were ready to properly come over for dinner they would. It was Y/N who was more afraid of meeting his family. He said that theyâd love her, but she could tell that they were protective of him. They would have to meet sooner or later, especially with prom coming up.Â
Harryâs home was often empty, his sister off doing her own thing at college while his mom and dad were usually gone working. He didnât mind it though, it just meant he could be with Y/N more. She would come over after school and they would study, play games, and now that it was warm outside they could go in his pool. But now that it was prom season and theyâd been seeing each other for a good four months and dating for a month, he felt like he needed to step up his game. Harry knew that prom was something that was important to her. For a while, he was stumped on how to ask her but he figured the best way was to be sincere. He was just a smitten kitten, half in love with her if not in love already, and he was doing his best to be a good boyfriend to her.Â
Tonight, he decided to take her to the movies, but Harry had a whole private prom proposal ready, hidden in the back of his truck. It wasnât traditional, but it was something that he knew she would like. It was romantic. He was still shy in a general sense but Y/N had truly opened him up and out of his shell.Â
âBabe, you coming?â
Y/N was excited to go on an actual date with Harry. They had usually just kept to hanging out at his house and sleepovers, theyâd never really gone out. So of course, Y/N let herself get all dressed up. Not too much, but enough for wherever he was taking her. She had told her mom she wouldnât be home tonight so that she didnât expect her and looked down at her phone to see that Harry had shot her a text.Â
âYes baby, Iâm on my way! Be there in less than 5! đâ
Those were the perks of living so close to your boyfriend's house. With a little bit of a nervous step, Y/N walked towards Harryâs house and paused when she saw him leaning against the door all expectantly.Â
âHi!â She giggled and walked towards him, admiring his outfit and how he had actually gotten dressed up too. âAw, babe, you look so handsome!â Y/N smiled, wrapping her arms around him before leaning up for a kiss.Â
âHi.â Harry smiled widely, taking in her looks. She was beautiful. Every time. I took his damn breath away and he couldnât believe that she wanted to be his. The kiss made his stomach flutter even now. Who would have guessed that nerdy little Harry would be dating the most sought after woman in school? He surely didnât. He had wanted her to be his for forever and yet here she was. He wanted to keep her. She seemed to be on board. âIâm glad you think so.â He had put on a flannel shirt and skinny jeans that Y/N had bought for him, trying to look decent. He had his glasses off and contacts in for the time since he got them, but his hair was still a bit of a floppy mess. She had begged him to play with it sometime and he would definitely let her. He didnât know what to do with it. âAre you ready? Can just put your bag up in my room and we can go.â She had stuff here, like sleep stuff and a toothbrush but Harry was considering asking her if she wanted a drawer or a spot in his closet. That was probably the next step.
Y/N pulled away and admired him for a little, moving her hands up to fix his hair only a little bit before pressing another kiss to his lips. âYou always look handsome... but you also look nice when you dress upâ She said, nodding at him as he said to go put her things in his room. She followed him back inside and ran up the stairs to put her bag down on his bed before running back down and grabbing his hand, âCome on! Letâs go!â Y/N giggled, patiently waiting for him to lock the door before they made their way to his car. It was nice to see him like this. He seemed a lot more confident and even though he wasnât dressed like he usually was, he seemed to feel completely comfortable. He didnât really look like he did at school, Y/N could recognize that curly mop of hair anywhere, but people probably wouldnât.
Harry double checked that the promposal shit was hidden away from view under the back seat again, just to be sure. Y/N was going to be happy with it, he felt. He loved making her smile and while he hadnât planned on going to any prom, he was happy to if he meant Y/N would be there and be that happy little self. It meant a lot to her, apparently.Â
âSomeoneâs excited.â He chuckled, holding her hand tightly as she slipped to the car. He had taken her on a few dates but this one was definitely the most nerve wracking for him. The movie would be a comedy so she would be in a good mood. Hopefully in an even better one with his surprise for her.Â
âYeah! Course I am.â Y/N smiled, âlike going on proper dates, though I like our nights in too.â She said and shrugged, honestly it was just nice to get to spend time with Harry whenever she could. Y/N was starting to fall for him and quite hard. No one had ever been so attentive and gentle with her as he was, it was always okay to be soft with him and baby him. It made her feel needed and wanted. âPlus, I like showing you off when I can.â Y/N said and squeezed his hand a bit. He never thought of himself as someone she would want to show off and it was a shame because she happily held his hand at school and made sure to kiss him when she could. It was important to her that he knew how special he was. âAre you excited?â She asked curiously, admiring him as he drove. Y/N was already feeling so giddy just seeing him like this. Without his glasses he seemed so... so different. You wouldnât look at him like this and think he was the nerdy guy from school.Â
âI am, baby. I like seeinâ you excited.â Harry was just happy to spend time with her and observe her. She was fun just to watch and enjoy how she lit up entire rooms with her voice and smile. âShowinâ me off? How? Mâjust one of them normal teenage boys to the rest of the world. For some reason you see me as an amazing thing.â
âLike walking around with you and holding your hand and kissing on you so everyone knows your mine...â Y/N explained, ânot just a normal teenage boy to me... youâre the most amazing one.â She was damn near close to telling him she loved him but she was holding out for the perfect moment. At school, Y/N was never ashamed to walk around confidently with Harry but Harry seemed a little bit more shy. It made sense though, not many were nice to him. In public he seemed to let go more, feel more at ease and sometimes was bold enough to pull her in for a kiss if she was lucky. âIâm happy to be around you. I really like that you arenât... embarrassed. I know weâre still workinâ on it. Iâm just... I dunno. It feels really nice to just be able to have someone be proud of you.â She was proud to be around him and that was amazing.Â
âI know you donât exactly get what I mean. Thatâs alright. Iâm really proud of being out with you too. I guess itâs still that bit of trauma, in a sense. Always worried someone is gonna make fun of you for being with me. I know you donât care. I do, though. Makes me so angry to even think of someone beinâ mean.â He huffed to himself, that wasnât at all something he liked. âBut I really like when you do that stuff. I mean the kissing on me and stuff. I know you know that mâpossessive over you, a bit. That side of me doesnât usually come out unless weâre... yâknow.â He blushed. When they were fooling around. âBut, I like that people know weâre together when we go out.âÂ
He was right, they were working on it and it was going to take a bit of time until he felt fully comfortable and wasnât afraid anymore. âI know baby...â Y/N sighed, rubbing over his knuckles. âJust gotta make it through till graduation yeah? People wonât care about that kind of stuff in college... we wonât have to worry about that anymore.â The two of them were both tip toeing around the idea of going to the same school. It was very likely that theyâd both go to Princeton or Harvard. Maybe even Yale. Regardless, Ivy League. Y/N already said she wanted to go where ever he was going because it didnât matter. It really didnât. âYeah, I know.â Y/N giggled when he mentioned how possessive he got when they got intimate. It was cute to her hoe he got so embarrassed, especially with the things he often said to her when they were in that state. After seeing that dominant side of him come out for the first time a few weeks ago when he told her to come and sit on his face, Y/N hadnât been able to look at him the same. Thatâs all she could think about.
Harry was happy because of the fact it had been pretty clear to both of them that they wanted to stay together. A lot of kids in school knew theyâd break up with their lovers after graduation but Harry was fairly confident theyâd end up making the same decision on schools. It wouldnât be necessary. Theyâd just... figure. All out together.Â
âI think Iâll be a lot more comfortable in college. Itâs like a fresh start.â He thought. And Y/N would be there and it would be the best possible scenario. He wanted her to be as close as possible. It was so rare that he had found someone he clicked so positively with. So rare, it was magical.Â
They pulled up to the theater and Harry held her hand as they made their way up, paying for the tickets before they went to get snacks. âOkay... popcorn and what else, angel?â He spoke softly, rubbing his thumb over the top of her hand. He knew she loved salty and buttery popcorn and the theater was the best for that.
Y/N stayed close to Harry, leaning on his arm a bit whenever they stood in line. âCan we get the sour watermelon things too? And you pick what chocolate candy you want... do you want to share an icee?â Harry was really good with asking for things and ordering them which might come as a surprise to most, but she let him do most of the talking because it just felt more comfortable for her to have it that way. To think that this could become more of a regular thing for them in college, where they wouldnât have to think about anyone but themselves and make friends that wanted to hang out with the two of them. It would be so refreshing actually to just be free. They were mostly independent already, their parents were surprisingly okay with it. Y/N wondered if he would want to live with her.Â
Once they got all their stuff, Y/N helped him carry the lighter stuff into the theater and followed him wherever he decided to sit. She didnât realize it was one of those fancy theaters where the seats reclined and you had to pick where you sat when you bought the tickets... but it was cool.
âCâmon then.â He teased as she looked around. He had chosen the back, near the middle. No particular reason besides if they wanted to kiss, no one would be watching. It was a bit of an emptier theater because it was more expensive and he only saw 2 other couples so he felt more relaxed. He placed the snacks down and lifted up one of the arms of the recliners so there wasnât very much separating them before he sat down again, bringing them back to his lap. She had gotten the right idea by setting up next to him and leaning her head on his shoulder while sneaking some popcorn. A chuckle left him as he transferred the bucket closer to her, leaning back against the seat.âGood?âÂ
Y/N felt comfortable with their set up, it was almost as good as it was at his house, but it felt new and special. She liked that they were out of the house and doing something fun because Harry didnât seem to go out much anyway. If going out on dates with her was his excuse to go out, they could go whenever. She looked up at him with a smile and let out a little hum, still chewing her popcorn so she took a few pieces and went to feed him too. There would be a few minutes before the movie started so they could get all cozy and comfortable and chat for a bit in the mean time.Â
âYou picked a good spot.â Y/N mumbled softly, taking a sip of the icee before looking down at their array of snacks. âAny reason Iâm particular?â She asked curiously, genuinely wondering why he chose the back. Part of her knew it was because they wouldnât be seen if they wanted to do stuff, but then again there were cameras in the theater.
âCause... donât know. I wasnât sure if you wanted to kiss at all. People do that stuff at the movies, yeah?â Harry was teasing her, but also genuinely didnât know. He was hoping that he could get a smooch or two. âI also just didnât feel like I needed to look over my shoulder the whole time.â It was a force of habit. He was always picked on from behind and part of him still worried about the chances of someone coming from behind and splashing a Soda over his head or some shit. âDonât worry about it though, weâre good.â He snuggled into the seat more and felt himself relax a bit more. It was odd because Y/N just had that odd and easy effect, making her feel a lot more at ease than he ever had. âShould have chosen a scary movie so youâd cuddle on me more but, want us in a good mood.â
Y/N smiled and let out a little giggle, nodding her head. âJust teasing... course I want to kiss and stuff.â She reminded him and leaned forward to press a kiss to his lips that now tasted like blue raspberry and buttered popcorn. She couldnât be too mad at that either. Whatever made him more comfortable was alright with her at the end of the day. Maybe she just never realized just how much the bullying had affected the smaller parts of his life. She felt like she needed to pay attention to these things more, she never wanted to put him in an uncomfortable situation. âNo! Iâll still cuddle you tight, I promise.â Y/N said with a pout. She hated scary movies, she could never sleep right after them and though she would have Harry with her the whole night, she wouldnât be okay all the other nights. âLike watching them only if I know what happens the whole time...â Y/N blushed, it was her anxiety kicking in.
âYouâre a nut.â Harry snickered. His little angel. Seriously? This is how she was? He was in love. So silly, but so cute all at the same time. The movie began and he could feel her settle next to him with her soft mouth against his arm while she took a break from popcorn. Little chuckles leaving her every so often. He was hyper aware of every touch and every movement she made. It was his own personal heaven. Harry moved his arm to hang over her shoulder and played with her hair as it played, feeling relaxed. This was how college would be. He could take her on dates and feel excited and proud and not like he had to hide. No one would know he was a nerd. Theyâd have a unbiased opinion.
---------------
The movie was good, but Y/N was definitely still paying attention to Harry. Y/N wanted to stay aware of how he was feeling, listening to his heart beat as a constant but also feeling how relaxed his muscles seemed to be. It made her feel nice knowing her was comfortable with her, because whenever they were at school he was much more tense. At one point, Y/N turned her head to look up at him just to admire him as he focused and let out little breathy laughs at the scenes of the movie. She loved his little dimple that wasnât leaving his face, he was in a happy and goofy mood and that was certainly her favorite. Her baby.Â
Y/N leaned up and pressed a kiss to his jawline, rested her head on his shoulder again as she moved the snacks off to the side so they could properly cuddle. Her hand went up the side of his flannel, not suggesting anything, but simply resting it there out of comfort.
Harry loved when she touched him like this. So simple but I timiate in the sense that no one else would or could do that. No one would ever touch him the way he liked besides Y/N. He turned his head to kiss her temple, humming happily before settling back in. Her bare shoulder gave him more access so he trailed his fingers around the area and happily got a feel of her skin while he let her relax with him. The movie was alright but mostly he enjoyed being around his Y/N. His girl. Letting her sit with him and give the attention she craved, while being cuddled and able to hold her was his dream. All while they had been able to eat buttery popcorn.Â
âDâya think that weâll be able to go on more dates when we leave this town? Even better ones?â He spoke his thoughts into her hair.
âMhm.... lots.â Y/N mumbled softly, âCan do whatever we want, yeah? All kinds of dates... surprise ones, planned ones...â She felt like the two of them would be really good at keeping up with dates. The whole part of keeping a relationship health was to never stop dating. To go out and to kiss and to cuddle and have sex. Make time for each other to make each other feels special. Thatâs what itâs all about. She had big plans for them. An apartment for just the two of them, maybe even a pet? A wonderful group of friends, spots that they could go to and call their own? That was the dream for her, to move away from here and make a new life for the two of them that would be bigger and better. Everyone said nothing really matters in highschool. âIâm really happy I met you...â Y/N mumbled softly, knowing that technically they met a long time ago, but she was glad she got to meet this version of him. The grown version of him that she took care of and... loved.
âYeah?â Harry smiled, leaning down to kiss her nose. âMe too. Canât wait to get out of this town with you.â It had been unspoken that they would go together but it was more often now than before that theyâd act like this. That theyâd get to work with one another and move out, start a life together. To some it was probably a lot and probably something that they wouldnât be down for. It was probably doubtful for a lot of them as well. But he knew that they could make it. He had no doubts whatsoever. He wanted to work on it with her. He was surprised when she turned in the chair to kiss him fully on the mouth but recovered quickly, hand on her waist to stabilize her. As much as he wanted her all the way in his lap, he knew he had to wait until later. He felt needy for touches and wanted so badly to get her closer.
Y/N didnât really care about the movie now that she was having a sweet moment with her man. The kiss was maybe a bit of a surprise to him, but she knew he would melt right into it the second he realized what was happening. She smiled against his mouth as he started to relax, cupping his jaw to keep him in place. It was slow and sweet, definitely had a little bit of passion behind it but she didnât want to work him up at the movie theater. That wouldnât be very nice. So, she let him take control of the kiss and slowly herself down a bit, following his actions and humming against this lips. The movie would be over soon. She never wanted to push him to do anything he wasnât comfortable with and she knew he likely wanted to wait till a special night till she took his virginity. They had done just about everything else at this point so it was all up to him.
Harry loved kissing. Y/N was incredible and he could do it for hours and hours if given the chance. Her mouth was plush and warm and a little sticky from the icee and tasted sweet, making for an incredible canvas to kiss. Harry licked into her mouth a little bit, shifting their bodies so it was more comfortable to kiss. It felt incredible. Especially with how she was so accommodating when it came to Harry and his nerves. Theyâd done a bit of everything. Dry sex, oral, hands. Harry had a few things he really wanted to try, but he would bring them up later. His hand slipped under her dress a little bit. Not too far up, but enough to caress her thighs. They were delicious thighs, to be fair. He kissed on them a lot.
Okay, so they were fully making out in the movie theater.
Y/N couldnât say she minded, especially with how enthusiastic Harry seemed and how his hand so easily slipped up her dress to caress her thigh. She didnât expect this from him but then again, he wasnât the one who initiated the kiss. The hand that was cupping his jaw moved down to his neck, allowing the tips of her fingers to toy with his hair just a little bit. Y/N knew if they didnât stop soon she would get too worked up and then she certainly wouldnât let him leave without also feeling her pain. She hesitantly pulled away from his lips, feeling him chase after her lips but she hid her face in his neck and let out a whine.Â
âGotta stop before I get too excited...â Y/N mumbled against his skin, letting out a shaky breath.Â
She saw him a few days ago and they hung out at his and played some games and then they sort of just played around with one another and held hands. It was sort of a lazy day. The two of them were horny buggers though, so a few days seemed like a lot.
âSorry.â Harry wasnât sorry though. He liked getting her excited. The fact that he ever could was a marvel to him but he liked it a lot. Especially because she was so eager all the time and let him play around with her. Spread her legs and let him go to town. âJust like lovinâ on you, baby.â His voice was a bit deeper when he spoke like that. Harry didnât want to stop, but he would because she needed that. They couldnât fuck in the movies. At least, not this time. They could probably get away with it at a lower class one if they really wanted to. Hmmm. The remainder of the movie though, he kept his hand on her waist and would periodically kiss her cheek or nose or temple. Barely paying attention to the screen, mostly on her.
She surely couldnât focus now. It was a shame really, because Harry paid money for them to watch this movie and she was enjoying it. Of course, now all she wanted was to continue on kissing him and making a mess of him because he deserved it for being such a good boyfriend to her. With her past boyfriends, Y/N was never this eager to please. Y/N never wanted to kiss and lick and suck every part of someone as badly as she wanted to with Harry. Maybe it was because he was so sweet and responsive, or maybe it was because he didnât quite understand just how sexy he was. Regardless, he made her go crazy with desire. Once the movie was finally over, Y/N let out a breath of relief. She got up and took all the snacks that they didnât finish into her free hand so Harry could take the trash. She was itching to get back home. To strip out of these clothes and get all cozy under his covers and talk more except this time theyâd be naked.
âWeâve got one more place to go.â Harry smiled mischievously. Oh, Y/N wasnât going to want to miss it. It wasnât going to be as grand or as showy, in fact it was more of the place and act of itself that would be the gesture, but he knew that she would like it. And the way it was presented. She looked confused but Harry wasnât going to give. Helping her in the car he just shrugged and jogged around to the front, trying not to seem as nervous as he was as he drove to the lookout point. His parents had found it when they were younger and it overlooked the whole city. No one ever really went up there because it was up a dirt road, but Harry knew it all too well. It was a special spot for him. Y/N was confused when he said they had another spot to go to. She was a little huffy because she was horny, but she complied and got in the car, keeping an eye out for where he was taking her.Â
âIâm not gonna murder you.â Harry teased again as they began up the dirt road. âI wanted to show you something.â
Y/Nâs head snapped back to look at him, furrowing her brows at him jokingly. âThatâs exactly what a murderer would say.â She teased, letting out a laugh so he knew she was joking. The dirt road seemed to lead to nowhere, but Harry was confidently driving up there so he clearly knew where they were going. Once they reached the top Y/N gasped, realizing just what he was showing her. It was their whole little city. Home sweet home. The place where they met and... fell in love? Was it okay for her to say that? She wasnât sure but she was confident in her feelings. Now more than ever.
Harry was terrified but also confident. A strange mix but Y/N always made him feel a plethora of things. It wasnât at all difficult to comprehend why. He knew that she would say yes. But the even slight prospect of his asking not being good enough was the scary part. He wanted to provide for her. To be a good partner for her. Yes, he was well aware of the fact that it was so incredibly early on for them to dream of such things but he wanted to be with her forever. His perfect girl.Â
âWait right there.â He opened the door and jogged our to her side, opening the door for her. He had backed the truck up so the back would be facing the view and theyâd be able to overlook it. Knowing her well enough, he knew that this would mean far more than a poster and balloons and all her âfriendsâ being involved. She would cherish the intimacy of it. He had set up in the trunk of the car in a mess of blankets and pillows. He also had those battery operated string lights he used a remote to turn on for her. It illuminated the back and inside was a little basket with treats, and a special question she would see when she opened it. âUh... surprise?â
Y/N melted at the sweet sentiment, her hands rested over her heart as she admired the beautiful set up. Harry had planned this all for her, heâd never done this with anyone else. It made her feel far more special knowing that this was also the first time anyone had ever done something like this for her. A moment the two of them could share as a first and hopefully the first of many.Â
âBaby...â She let out a happy sigh, turning to look at him again. He looked so nervous, so worried that maybe she wouldnât like it. How could she not? Y/N took his hands into hers and cupped his cheeks, getting up on her tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips. âItâs beautiful...â She whispered to him with a smile, wrapping her arms around his waist. âYou really out did yourself, hmm?â She giggled, patting his side a bit. âHonestly Harry, this is so sweet....â Y/N couldnât believe just how much she had lucked out. No one ever gave him a chance and maybe it was selfish of her to be thankful that they didnât. She was glad that she was the one he got to experience all of these things with.
âGood. I was a little worried it would be a bit much or not enough. I dunno.â Harry said shyly. Still, he had thought of it all in his own and the place and everyone. He had won, hadnât he? âWeâre gonna hang out here for as long as you want and then go back to my place. Iâve got some treats for you.â His nerves were a wreck, helping her in the back of the truck before climbing in himself and settling next to her. âhere, you choose first.âÂ
The basket was a pink one made to look like a watermelon, seeing as it was her favorite. The inside had tons of snacks but on top it said a simple âprom?â with a receipt to the online place she had so badly wanted a strawberry dress from. It was glittery and pink and had glitter strawberries and a sweetheart neckline, but it was $500. He used money he had stashed away and easily paid for it. It hadnât come in time but it was the thought that counted, he thinks.
Y/N giggled when he placed her up in the back, getting comfortable among the pillows and blankets. However, the note caught her eye before she could really say anything and she looked blankly at it as if she had just misread it butâÂ
âReally?â She asked with hopeful eyes, looking up at him with the brightest smile. âYes! Oh my god! Yes!â Y/N nodded her head and practically climbed on top of him to attack his face with kisses. She didnât know about the dress or about the snacks or anything yet, she was already over the moon at what her boyfriend had set up for her. It was perfect in every way. She pecked his lips a few times until she felt him push her back slowly before nodding at the basket. Confused, Y/N turned and reached to bring the basket closer to them, picking up the envelope with the order form for the dress. âNoâ Harry, youââ She looked at him with wide eyes. âHarry! That dress is like... crazy expensive youââ Y/N was at a loss for words. She didnât know how she felt about him spending so much on her, especially because they were still in highschool.
He was quiet when she read it, heard pounding. But then, he was attacked by her and kissed all over, knocking the breath out of him slightly and still managing to laugh.Â
She had reacted far better than Harry had imagined! He was quiet when she read it, heart pounding. But then, he was attacked by her and kissed all over, knocking the breath out of him slightly and still managing to laugh. She was giving him the best thing ever, a yes and all the loving he wanted. He had actually done it right!Â
âBut I adore you.â He said softly. âI donât get my big money until mâ21, but like.... I think you deserve it. You deserve to be able to be spoiled like this and given all the things you want.â He pecked her mouth a few times even with the pout she had at him spending so much money. âWent on and on about how amazing the dress was and how badly you wanted it and I wanted to do that for you. You donât have to wear it to prom, it can just be a normal dress for you but I wanted to offer it to you.â He murmured softly, stroking his thumb over her cheekbone.
âI know butââ Y/N huffed, accepting the few pecks that he placed against her lips. âThank you.â Y/N said nonetheless, deciding she just needed to accept it because that dress wasnât going back. He wouldnât let her, of course, but she knew once she put it on sheâd be thankful he got it.Â
âI adore you.â She hummed season she leaned into his touch. The two of them had yet to really share their âI love yousâ so their expressions of adoration was what they settled with. âI really appreciate all of this, H... and just... everything you do for me, youâre so sweet... never let me forget how you feel and I never want to.â He tried so hard for her, always tried to make her the happiest girl alive, constantly praised her and even pushed his boundaries of comfort for her. âAnd I know I said it before but... you look really nice. Not that you donât look nice everyday but... you look so good.â
âThank you.â Harry blushed slightly as he felt her look him over. Still, he was caught off guard by how loving and sweet she truly could be. He loved being able to impress her. âYou always look incredible. I think youâll kill me prom night.â His smiled softened. âI.... never planned on going. It never felt right until you came along and genuinely wanted to be with me. Each bit of it made so much more sense as it went on. I knew we had to make it a good night for us both. But look more in there. I got snacks. Seriously.â He lightened the mood knowing there were a plethora of treats in there. Her favorites. White cheddar popcorn and chocolate covered pretzels, more sour watermelon sugar gummies, the works. âI have my laptop and... I have movies downloaded so you can choose one. Or we can sit and just look at our town and like⌠kiss. I never object to that.â
âYou know we wonât end up watching that movie.â Y/N chuckled, staying put in his lap as she went to open some snacks for them to eat. âWe graduate in just a few months...â Y/N let out a sigh, pushing her hair back behind her shoulders. âHave you um... have you thought about where youâre going to go in the fall?â She knew that the two of them had discussed it previously, but the undertone was much more different now. She handed him the bag of popcorn for him to take some while she went to bust open the sour gummies, trying to distract herself from the answer he was going to give. Y/N had a few ideas for college in her mind and obviously if they didnât have to separate that would be ideal. She didnât want to make him feel like she was choosing a school just because of him, but she was. âCause like... I um... I donât know if I could be away from you for long.â She said shyly, feeling heat rush to her cheeks. Maybe for some people it could feel a bit odd, but she had just gotten with him! She wanted to be with him all the time.
âYeah? You want to be close?â Harry smiled. Good. He didnât want to seem too clingy but he wanted to be around her 24/7 as well. Theyâd just gotten together and they got on so perfectly, it would be nearly criminal to separate them now! âWhere were you thinking of going?â He stroked a bit of hair out of her face. âI was waiting a bit to see where you were headed before I made a sound decision. I didnât want to seem clingy but I want to be at least in a place where we can be together. Same area.â Ideally same town and college and they could just... live it up together. Truly. âI do want to live off of campus wherever I go so.... if you arenât going to where I am or want to... you can always just stay with me. Or whatever you want. I dunno.â He felt shy asking her about thar or implying she moved in with him when they didnât even know options yet.
âYeah?â Y/N raised her brows at his preposition, âcause, I was thinking... yeah thatâd be nice.â She smiled at him so hard her cheeks hurt. âI know we said it was between Princeton and Yale... and I dunno, Princeton seems nice... itâs a cute town. Sure New Jersey isnât great but.. at least itâs close to a beach and two major cities.â She wanted an adventure in college, but nothing would be complete without Harry in her book. Now that she had life with him she didnât want to imagine it without. High school sweethearts often didnât last but she could see herself with Harry for the long haul. âHave a fresh start... just, enjoy my life and have fun.â Y/N could already see them moving into a cute little apartment, maybe getting a pet?
âI know that a lot of people say like... donât make sacrifices for a high school romance but it feels like so much more. I donât think I would be upset or have it viewed as a sacrifice if it meant I get to be happy, finally.â Harry admitted. Y/N meant so much to him. He understood the ways that people got and how they would underestimate the fact that he was pretty positive he had met his soul mate but he was going to do this with her. âYeah... I think that, we should see what our options are. I have offers for both so I just... I dunno. I want to be near tou.â He spoke softly. âItâll feel like a real fresh start. Just us. Feel like adults and figure it out on our own. Itâll be good, I think. None of the nervousness we both have around here. Itâs just us and we can make our lives what we actually want.â
Y/N couldnât help but feel excitement bubble up at the thought of them being free. No more petty high school drama, no more waiting till the perfect time to see each other. The two of them, under one roof, sharing a bed together, completely and utterly in love.Â
âIâd love that...â She breathed out with a small smile. âJust, yeah... let me know what youâre thinking, I donât mind either or I also just wanna be with you.â Y/N let out a hum towards the end, cupping the side of his neck and letting her thumb brush against his jawline. âThank you for tonight... for the movie, for this... itâs... itâs the sweetest thing anyoneâs ever done for me.â Y/N cooed, leaning forward to kiss his cheek. It was a sweet gesture, but she could see from the look on his face that he was expecting a proper kiss.
âOf course. I care about you so much.â Harry licked over his lip. All he wanted was her. Maybe it was the die hard romantic in him but he wanted her and to be happy with one another. Thatâs his goal. âCan we lay down for a bit? I just... I have to tell you something.â He felt his stomach roll in nerves because he wasnât sure exactly what she would think about this but he was hopeful. So hopeful. âI was just... thinking a lot lately. About you. How much you mean to me.â He reaches over and brushed s but of her hair to the side. âHow much I really, really like you. And I didnât know if I was rushing this or not but itâs been a bit and I really think I can see us together for a long time.â He let out a shaky breath. âIs that something you see too? Like... we arenât just chatting shit about going to the same places? You genuinely want to be with me right?â Ther was a bit of nervousness to his voice. âIâm sorry. Sometimes itâs still hard to believe that youâre mine and that you want to be with me. Itâs amazing that you like me.â
âNo, no... Harry...â Y/N frowned, moving her body closer to his the second she felt the hint of nervousness. âOf course Iâm serious about us. I would never lead you on like that.â She said and attempted to soothe him, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his nose. âI know you still get nervous about these things and Iâll always be there to reassure you that I feel the way you do...â She spoke softly, âjust wish there was more I could do for you to never have to wonder.â Y/N took a moment to think, watching his eyes carefully. She had been seeing him for a few months now, things were getting prettying serious and she didnât see them ending anytime soon. She didnât want to be the first to drop the L bomb, but it was practically on the tip of her tongue. âI want to be with you... for as long as youâll have me.â Y/N smiled, feeling heat spread across her cheeks. âI love your goofy smile and the random fun facts you tell me everyday. I love the way you say my name when youâre annoyed with me. I love how you always know what Iâm in the mood to eat. I love just about everything about you.â
âOkay... good.â Harry murmured, feeling his body settle with the nerves. He had been worried himself, that she wouldnât want to do it for real but truly, she did. She was amazing. âIâm really glad that you feel that way cause... I dunno, I would be scared if you didnât want that too.â He whispered. âI feel so much for you. So strongly. Youâre just... incredible, Y/N. All Iâve ever wanted. My crush was so big and went on for so long, and now youâre here and youâve made me gain so much confidence...â He swallowed, feeling hot around the collar. âIs it too early to say that I think mâfalling in love with you? That I do?â He let it sit in the air for a moment. âI donât truly know what love is yet. But I feel like.... the way Iâve been feeling and what I feel around you is what it would be. You donât have to say it back if you donât feel it or a thing but I was just... wanting to ask. To tell you.â He stuttered.
The smile that spread across Y/Nâs face gave it all away. She couldnât contain her happiness. She knew for a fact she had never felt this way about anyone in her life, knew that after getting to know him this school year and properly getting to know him these past few months, she could safely say she was falling for him. She felt like she had fallen already and she wasnât afraid to say it.Â
âIâve definitely fallen for you... I feel like I have. You make me so happy and Iâm so proud to be with you and show you off and there isnât a moment that passes where I donât think about you or how you are.â She said softly, âalways want to be around you, always want to kiss you and make you smile... fuckâ and if anyone ever tries to say anything negative about you Iâll rip them a knew one I swear it!â Y/N couldnât help but let out a laugh at the end, overwhelmed with happiness. âI love you, Harry. I really do.â
âYeah?â Harry felt his heart swell with happiness. Fuck. He was so happy. She loved him too? She wanted him? It was exactly what he had always dreamed of. He gently pulled her towards him and kissed her. It wasnât a hot kiss, but passionate. He was passionate about her. About them. He wanted her to feel and understand just how much he adored her. Because he did, so fuckinf much. He needed her. Wanted to make sure she was aware of the fact he would do anything for them. âI love you too, baby. So much.â He peppered kisses all around her face, smiling when she began to giggle. His thin fingers wrapped over her waist and he nuzzled his nose against hers like a puppy before pecking her lips again..âSo itâs real then. You love me and I love you... and weâre gonna be together forever?â He hummed, happy to feel her rub her nose back against his. âMâgonna make sure I do everything in my power to keep this. Keep you.â
âForever and ever.â Y/N hummed back, rubbing her nose against his once again before nuzzling her face into his neck. She pressed a few kisses to the soft skin and let out a happy sigh. Yes, forever is a big word when youâre in highschool, she knew that. Some could argue that they didnât know what it meant to be in a proper relationship, it had only been a bit. However, she knew that she had to stay true to her feelings and take things day by day with Harry. She could genuinely see a future with him and she didnât see why it was such a big deal. Sometimes highschool sweethearts really are meant to be, Y/N felt like their chances were pretty good.Â
âIâm so excited. For prom, for college, for us.â Y/N mumbled against his skin, âitâs going to be so fun. Can just be us two..â She was lucky that they lived so close to each other, she wouldnât know what to do if they couldnât see each other as often as they did.
It was. It was going to be amazing and he would make sure they both had that new fresh start. A chance to make new friends. A chance to be who they truly wanted and didnât have to worry about anything else wirh.Â
âI canât wait to just be alone with you. Have you stay with me.â Harry brushes some hair away from her and tried to keep her clear. He liked to groom her in that sense, with love. Keep her comfortable. âYouâre stayinâ over Tonight, right? Oh wait, yeah.. You dropped off your bag.â He didnât want to go to sleep without her but he could feel her getting sleepy. âGuess we can head on home then? and bring your prom prize up to my room to snack on tomorrow, hm?â He questioned. âDid yâwant to go to the mall with me tomorrow? I preordered the new game at the store. Can get you the pretzel nuggets you like.â
âMhm...â Y/N hummed, letting out a happy sigh against him. âIâm a minute!â She didnât exactly want to let go just yet, she was so comfortable and this moment was far too perfect and peaceful. Sheâd remember this spot forever, the place where he asked her to prom and told her he loved her. With a few whines of disapproval, Y/N pulled back from him and helped Harry clean up the back of the truck so that they could place everything in the back and head home. The two of them practically functioned like a married off couple, they liked staying in and doing mundane things. It was exciting to Y/N though, she had the love of her life with her after all.Â
âWait, we didnât even get any pictures from tonight.â Y/N pouted, looking up at him with a pout. âHold this!â She giggled, handing him the basket and the prom note so she could take a photo and keep the memory with her forever.
âOh! Okay?â Harry laughed as she took the photos. âI didnât think about that. I just knew that you wouldnât want the huge prom promposal with the balloons and marching band and stuff.â She wasnât shy but that amount of attention would make her uncomfortable and he knew that. But a sentimental piece would be much more meaningful. He wanted that bit of it all. He let her take as many as she wanted before letting her hold the basket and her beaming smile as he took them of her. It ended with him kissing her lips over and over again. âLove you so much, Y/N. My girl.â He sighed happily against her mouth. âDunno what I would do without you.â And he knew he wouldnât ever find out.
âI love you more!â She told him and gave him a few more kisses before climbing in the car excitedly. Y/N was ready to get to his house so they could change and get all cozy and kiss some more. She liked the way their relationship never put pressure into doing things that seemed unnatural. They always went at their pace regardless of what people said, besides, what they did was their business.Â
While on the ride home Y/N smiles at the photos she took. Harry was genuinely so cute and he looked extremely attractive today, she decided to make a little post as all the other girls did for their promposals. She settled on a picture of him with the basket, then a picture of them kissing.Â
âcouldnât say no to an offer this sweet 𼺠love you babyđâÂ
Her phone practically blew up afterwards too. It made her laugh a little because she got so many questions asking who it was as if it wasnât clear who it was. Harry. Her sweet angel boy.
Harry was happy as he drove home. The radio was on low and the windows opened a bit, Y/N leaning her head against his arm and their hands held. Driving with one hand was easy but she was being so cute, singing softly to the music and tracing his knuckles that he just wanted to kiss the hell out of her. She loved him. This creature, with her softness and vulnerability she showed him? Loved him. It was a given that he loved her but even more right now, he was so utterly shocked and happy about the fact that his affection was so swiftly returned.Â
He loved her.Â
She loved him.Â
Wow.

As Long as Youâre Quiet [Law x Reader]
I've had this scenario in my head that I've been thinking about it for DAYS and need to write it down. Have some cute Law :) the boy is very very bad with emotions, help the poor baby. This couldn't have easily gotten turned into something else *wink wink* but I shall not sin today! I want fluff!
*****
You were a newer member of there crew and still feeling things out a little bit. You got to know the crew and how they all worked, and also your captain. He seemed pretty stern and quiet, liking things getting done in a timely manner, and to get his own work done in the same way. They told you about how they don't see him too often because he's usually in his office working, and that generally no one went to talk to him unless there was an emergency or something that needed his help.
It was different not seeing your captain around that often. With your other crew, they were always laughing with everyone. That's not to say the crew you were with now didn't have good times together. You enjoyed being with them and you did have fun annoying and poking fun at each other. Although they were slightly more cautious with you since they didn't know you very well yet and you appreciated that, but you told them that as long it's all in good fun, you don't mind being teased.
"Has Captain come out to eat yet?" you asked Penguin who was sitting at the large table, chowing down the food on his plate.
"I don't shink so?" he replied with his mouth full.
"Do you think he would get mad if I brought him something?" you already started to make a plate of onigirl for him after they told you Law didn't eat bread.
"He probably wouldn't be mad, maybe just a little annoyed." Ikkaku shrugged as she finished up and washed her plate.
"I'll take annoyed over mad." you chuckled and went to find his office. It wasn't too hard to find, but you were still figuring out a lot of the submarine since it was a lot bigger than you anticipated. Quietly you knocked on the door and you heard a hum in response. "Um.. does that mean I can come in?"
"Yes." Law sighed out, and you heard the clack on a pen being put down on the desk. You opened the door quietly and walked in.
"Hi~" you smile softly at him and shut the door behind you. "I noticed that you didn't come to eat with us and I thought you might want something to eat. They told me you don't really eat with them sometimes but I thought you might be hungry. Plus, you're a doctor. You should be setting an example for your crew!" you hold up the plate of onigiri and walked over to his desk. There were so many papers though and you weren't sure if he didn't want them on top of it. He moved them to the side and you put the plate down. "Whatcha workin' on?" you asked him as you looked at the large map that was in front of him.
"A plan." he answered simply.
"What kind of plan?"
"An important one."
"Wow how riveting." you tease him with a chuckle. "I hope you like that, I made them with my own two hands so I'll be a little disappointed if you don't." you point to the plate of food as you look around his office. This was the first time you had been in here and got to look around a bit. "You have a so many books." The entire wall to the left of him was a bookcase that was filled. There wasn't a spot for anymore new ones if he got any. "I take it you like to read. What's your favorite book here?"
"All the ones on the very top shelf." he glanced over at you while you looked up at the top shelf. They'd be no problem for Law to grab seeing as he was so tall, but you were much shorter than him. He saw your shoulders drop as you sighed out loud enough for him to hear. You turned your head to look at him and kept your feet planted on the ground while you reached up, your fingertips barely reaching the shelf.
Law couldn't help but smirk at you.
"This is funny to you, isn't it?" your eyes narrowed at him playfully and you rolled them to look back up to the books.
"Just a litte bit."
"...Help me." you wiggled your fingers and tried to grab a random book.
He got up from his chair and picked the book closest to where you were reaching and handed it to you. It was a book about rare diseases. "This is the one you wanted?" he asked you, raising an eyebrow.
"Sure!" you replied with a smile and you plopped down on the floor, opening the book and  began scanning the pages.
Law just looked at you with confusion. "What are you doing?"
"I figure this way if I have any questions then I can just ask you and I don't have to keep coming back to get them answered! That would be pretty annoying, wouldn't it? ...And.. it feels really weird to me not seeing my captain very often. I took comfort being around her...but if you're uncomfortable with me being here I'll leave!" you realized he probably didn't want you in here so you stated to get up before he spoke.
"As long as you're quiet." he went back to his desk and continued with his work. You sat back down with a small and timid smile, and continued to look through the book while trying to be as quiet as you could. But when you came upon a familiar disease it made your breath hitch. That was the first sound that you made since you sat down and it made Law look over at you.
It took you a moment to find the words. "I used to work at an orphanage when I was younger-maybe 10 or 11-and there was a mother who came to us. I don't know how but she managed to sail to our island without getting caught and taken in. She brought us a little girl who was about three or four years old and she told us that she couldn't take care of her anymore and that if the government caught her and her baby then they'd be killed because of a disease they had. She begged and pleaded-I'm talking crying so hard that I could hardly understand what she was saying. I know she said that it wasn't contagious even though it looked like it was. Here I am, a 10 year old, with a mother literally begging at my feet to take her child. So of course I take her because I can't just leave a child to get killed. She was innocent."
Your captain listened as you spoke about your past and you continued. "When she was about five or six, she started to get these white spots all over her body." That was when he knew exactly what you were talking about. "I lied told the kids that they were just birthmarks that can appear later in life because I didn't want her to get treated differently and bullied because of it. Kids can be quite the assholes." you said the last part quietly but kept going, your voice now starting to crack. "It started to get worse and she got really sick. I couldn't take her to the doctors because what if they find out about her disease and they kill her? At that point I didn't know what to do because I'd be killing her either way by going to the doctor or not. When she said that everything started to hurt, I knew she was going to go soon. I can't tell you how hard it is to watch an innocent child die in your arms..." you clear your throat and wipe the tears from your eyes. "I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to throw that all on you. Especially since you said to be quiet." you chuckled with a small sad smile.
He didn't really know what to say. He felt bad and knew what you were going through because his younger sister had died from that disease, and the obvious, he had had it, but didn't know how to express that to you. As you were talking he had taken a few bites of the food you brought to him. "...The onigiri was good..."
You looked up to him and furrowed your brows, but not in anger. You were far from angry and you figured he wasn't the kind of guy who was very good with emotions and comforting people-you were a new crew member anyway so you understood. You couldn't help the smile and laugh- almost a snort-that came out. "Why thank you, I'm glad you liked it. I sure hope you're not saying that because I started to cry and you felt bad though."
Law almost choked on the bite he had taken and swallowed it. "No! ...No..it really was. And thank you..."
"You're welcome. You know.. if you enjoyed it then if you want I can make it for you again tomorrow? But only if you'll let me read in here again with you! Next time I promise I won't give you a sappy life story with tears. I'll be quiet I promise! Save for a few questions here and there." you laugh and stand up. "I'll leave now so you can get back to work. I was a little distracting today...sorry." you scratch your head and chuckled sheepishly, turning around to attempt to put the book back on the shelf. Law sees you struggling and gets up. You feel his chest against your back as he tucks the book away into its correct spot. He grabs another from the shelf and hands it to you without a word as he goes back to sit at his desk.
"You can stay...a long as you're quiet."

                         ----------------------
Itâs late, real late. The kind of late where there ainât even any taxis speedinâ past. An empty diner late at night sure was somethinâ, wasnât it? Sunday nights werenât too busy, not when everyone had to get up early and head out to their 9-to-5s the next morning. So there you were, all by your lonesome, a couple dimes in the jukebox to keep you company.
Rain slicks up the pavement of the driveway outside, and through the windows you can see the reflection of all the neon out there in the cold and wet. In many ways, you love the diner like this; some soft jazz playing on that jukebox thatâs gotta be older than you are, no one to disturb your thoughts as you rinse the last of the dishes and put them in the sinks for the third shift bus-boys.
The bus-boys have all gone, and so has the cook. The diner only serves coffee and whatever youâre willinâ to whip up, when it gets this late. It donât matter, not one bit, ainât nobody around to want you to whip anything up anyway.
Oh well, you think as you wipe down the milkshake bar, soon that little hand will hit one and then youâll get to go home.
âShit.â You tsk the roof of your mouth, you forgot your damn umbrella.
Fish ainât here to let you take his this time, he went home an hour ago when it was dry. Maybe youâll call for a ride, you mull the thought over. Youâve got the pocket cash for it, could just pull a bill or two from the tip jar and call it an evening, but the thought annoys you. That tip jar moneyâs been goinâ right into a special box that youâve been working on, hopinâ to surprise your man for somethinâ nice for the holidays.
A bell at the front door dings, and any thoughts about loneliness in an empty diner are cast right outta your head, because as if he was summoned by your very thought, standinâ in front of you is your very own Pale.
Poor guy looks angry, but then again he always does. First thing in the morning after a long night of dead-to-the-world sleep and he looks angry, that was your Pale. Heâs got a good reason to be annoyed tonight, just on account of the rain and all, his big leather jacket protected him from most of it, the rest he shakes off right at the door. He hangs up the jacket and reveals one of those silk shirts he loves to wear, gold chain glinting in the soft neon light.
âWasnât thinkinâ Iâd be seeinâ you tonight.â You greet him warmly, setting down the last of the thick glass cups that youâve been rinsing out.
âOh yeah? Whyâs that?â He frowns, makes his way over to you where youâre waiting for him with your eyes closed and lips pursed.
You sigh against his mouth when his lips meet yours in a deep kiss, Pale leaning and reaching over the counter to grab at you. His hands donât ever keep to themselves, and you grin against the corner of his mouth when he gives your ass a firm squeeze.
âPast couple of Sundays youâve been real busy, thatâs all.â You give him a casual shrug. Youâre thrilled that heâs here, thrilled that your shift is almost over and that heâs come to pick you up, come to spend a little time with you before you go back to his place and spend the whole night together.
You donât often spend nights together, just with how hard he works. Â
âIâm never too busy for you sweetheart you know that â why donât you go pour me a cup of somethinâ hot, hm?â Pale scrubs the hair out of his face, shakes it back a little so it falls nice and even. Itâs wet, but thatâs no issue, you like how he looks like this, and the diner is warm enough so he wonât go catching any colds.
âYouâre in luck, Iâve got just enough coffee left in this pot for one VSOP.â You give a glance to the coffee pot on the warmer that has been pitifully neglected, save for a swirl every now and again.
Pale nods, and you donât think youâll ever stop being smug about that, about converting him to being a coffee drinker. He used to say it sours his stomach, but thatâs just because heâs never had a good cup, he never had any of yours. Now he canât get enough of the shit, and you take that as a win.
Bending over to reach for his favorite mug â you keep it someplace special so that none of the other waitresses send it out to customers during the day â you donât even think about the fact that your skirt must be ridinâ up until you hear Paleâs very measured and even voice ask, âHey sweetheart?â
You stand upright and look over your shoulder, that mug of his in hand and a sly smile creeping across your face.
âYeah Pale?â You bat your lashes at him, acting oh so innocent â even though youâre anything but.
âDo that again.â His eyes have darkened, that cigarette of his clenched between his teeth, the red tip glowing as he takes a forceful drag.
Instead of bending over, you simply hike your skirt up, giving him exactly what he wants. Youâre wearing underwear, but itâs the kind he likes, the soft cotton kind that rips easily, that hugs your hips and ass nicely. Itâs white, and you just know Pale is already thinking about how soaked that fabric is gonna get, because heâs pouncinâ out of his seat in an instant.
âLike what you see?â You laugh brightly, playfully, dropping your skirt and turning to face him as he pushes his way through the little swinging door of the milkshake bar, is crowdinâ you up against the counter.
âDamn right I do â hold on.â Pale grunts, flicks his ash and yanks open his belt buckle.
You lick your lips while you watch him, casting a cursory glance to the rest of the diner. Anyone could come in, anyone could walk right in and youâd have nowhere to go or hide. The thought thrills you, especially as Pale manhandles you and turns you around, bends you over the counter. He keeps a hold of your wrists, bound behind your back, as he kicks your feet open.
âI love this fuckinâ uniform.â Pale licks his teeth, the hand that ainât holdinâ your wrists shoves between your legs, rubs at the folds of your pussy and coaxes all kinds of wetness out of you, making you breathe hard from the pleasure that friction brings, âDonât go workinâ nowhere else â or if you do, steal one of these and bring it back home to me whydontcha.â
âItâs the uniform that does it for you, hm?â You tease him, wriggling your ass against his hand as he slips a couple fingers under your panties and into your pussy, scissoring roughly just to get you stretched enough to take the tip of him. You moan out loud, âOhhhhh, is that it? You like me in this short skirt?â
âThe little hat,â Pale corrects you, and something about that catches you off guard and makes you push back against his hand, his hips, and he groans, âFuck youâre sexy.â
âHow do you want me, sir?â You gasp, âWell doneâŚor over easy?â
That seems to be enough for him, because he pulls his hand out of your underwear and spanks you hard, making you yelp. It stings in the best way, and you canât help but clench around nothing, wanting to be filled.
Drool pools out of your mouth and drips onto the counter when you get your wish, when Pale shoves down your underwear and you feel the head of his cock push its way roughly into your cunt, using your own slick and some of his spit to lube the way. Your legs spread even wider for him, as wide as the panties around your thighs will let you.
âAtta girl, there it is, right there. All this, this wet for me?â Pale grunts, one hand holding your wrists steady and the other now moving to pin your hip in place as he wastes no time thrusting.
âShit, yes, Pale â your cockâs so big!â You moan, loud and high because there ainât nobody around to hear you, no oneâs coming, you can be loud loud loud as he thrusts his big dick into your wet cunt.
Stuff on the counter clamors and rattles as he speeds his pace up, not in the mood for anything gentle tonight. You loved it, loved what he gave you and took it eagerly. Pale hadnât fucked you since last night, and you were starting to miss the feeling of his thick cock rammed up inside you.
âBeen dreaminâ about this pussy all day, you know that? Couldnât fuckinâ wait to get home only to find the place empty, figured youâd be here and damn Iâm glad I was right, damn this pussyâs good.â Pale smokes while he fucks you, cigarette clenched between his teeth as you clench around his cock.
âWhere â oh! â where the hell else am I gonna go this late?â You gasp and bite your lip, eyes struggling to stay open, the world shaking around you. If you werenât bent over and pressed against the counter, your tits would probably be sore from how much theyâd bounce.
âOff to one of your other boyfriends maybe, I donât know I ainât your keeper or nothinâ.â Pale pretends he doesnât give a fuck but you manage to smack his hand even pinned down like you are.
âShut up with that shit, Iâm your girl Pale, always your girl.â You huff out, before shifting your weight so you can meet every one of Paleâs thrusts, your pussy tight and hot around that aching pleasure, âDoes this feel like anybodyâs fucked me but you?â
âSay it again.â Paleâs quick to say, ignoring your question, and if your body werenât on fire youâd roll your eyes, because he only riled you up enough so that heâd hear you say his favorite thing in the world,
âI-Iâm yours. Your whore, your needy whore, oh fuck, harder Pale please, please!â You beg, beg because itâs all you can manage, his balls slapping your ass fast fast fast, your pussy drooling and dripping onto your panties, soaking into the fabric as his cock spears in and out of you, rough and dirty as he smokes his cigarette.
âI was just teasinâ you know, youâre good to me, my good girl. I like when you make that face you make at me, gorgeous.â Pale sounds like heâs smiling, even as heâs breathing hard, as heâs grunting and groaning and squeezing your hip, your wrists. You shoot a dirty look over his face and Pale thrusts sharply into you from it, âYeah thatâs it, be mad at me baby.â
âYouâre â ah, right there right there â youâre awful to me, so mean, god you feel so good!â Your voice climbs higher and higher until youâre gasping loud, body jerking as Pale brushes against your gspot, the head of his cock knocking up against your cervix on every thrust.
âKeep your hat on sweetheart.â Pale grunts and groans, pulls his hand off your hip to smack at your ass again, another hit right on the flesh of your thigh, before that hand of his comes forward to stick his fingers into your mouth. You immediately suck on them, kissing and licking and biting them, hollowing your cheeks around them as he fucks you, âBig boss could come walkinâ in any minute and then youâd be in some real trouble, wouldnât you? Real big trouble, gettinâ dicked down like this right out in the open.â
âDonât care,â You moan around his fingers, theyâre so thick, so wide, he can barely fit three of them against your tongue.
ââCourse you donât, slut.â Pale scoffs, and you chuckle warm in your chest, because you really are â but only for him. âYou close?â
âYes â yesyesyes, please, just a little more, touch me please.â Your voice is muffled against his hand, his fingers, but he can hear you just fine. Paleâs jeans chafe against your ass, your knees shake and body tenses, the pit of fire in your stomach rolling through your body. Your nipples are stiff, so stiff against your bra and the friction there makes your cunt clench, tears starting to well up in your eyes, if you donât come soon youâll be in pain from how good it all is. Â
âOnly because you ask so pretty.â He groans, coating his fingers with your spit for a moment or two longer, before lowering them to quickly rub harsh circles on your clit while he fucks you to completion.
âOh!â Your knees turn in and your body goes limp with pleasure as your nerves tingle and sing up and down your spine, soaking his cock with your come.
He relishes the feeling and soon after you feel the hot splash of his come filling you up, pumping into you. Pale always did have such a big load, youâre almost disappointed that you wonât get to keep it safe for him all day â that dirty secret leaking out of your pussy while you served coffee was one of your favorite thrills.
This was good though, just this, just Pale, the two of you in the empty and quiet diner. Neon spots dance in front of your eyes, as Pale slows to a lazy languid pace, milking your orgasms for all theyâre worth.
âMmmm, thank you.â You sigh dreamily, pleasure like pepsi-cola bubbling and fizzing your brain, your nerve endings when his hips finally come to a stop.
âDonât go thankinâ me for nothinâ, weâre only getting started.â Pale stubs his cigarette out in one of the little ashtrays on the counter, and eases his cock out of you. You stretch and pop your joints, pulling your panties up and feeling thoroughly used in the best way, especially when he pinches your chin and kisses you with, âNow howsabout that coffee?â
ââFraid weâre all out.â You lie, seeing that the clock struck one, your shift officially over.
Pale grins, kisses you once more and takes your hand, guiding you from out of the milkshake bar on wobbly legs.
âYouâll just have to come home with me then pretty girl,â Pale grabs that leather jacket of his and slings it around your shoulders when you make it to the front door, âWeâll get somethinâ brewinâ real quick.â
And if the third shift girls notice anything funny about you when you pass them in the parking lot, well, youâve got the whole day off tomorrow to avoid their questions, spendinâ it with your man, your VSOP, instead.

Pirate AU - Shore Leave
A coupla times this week I randomly got inspired to write some Pirate AU stuff. And I got some good news yesterday, so I decided Iâd post the stuff I wrote. Like a gift to myself, that kind of thing.
So hereâs some more Pirate AU content, but most importantly, some Pirate AU Stangie content. Plus a bit of bonus Shermie content. Enjoy.
(For context, this takes place a few years after this ficlet.)
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
âThanks for watching the kids, Maria,â Stan whispered. âYou can head home.â  Maria got up from the kitchen table.  On her way out, she tsked at Angie.
âYou know better, mija.  Be smarter and faster next time.â
âOf course, Maria,â Angie said.  Maria shook her head disapprovingly one last time, then left.
âSit down, you gotta get off your feet,â Stan instructed his wife.  Angie obediently took a seat at the table.  Stan sat next to her.  âAngie.â
âItâs a good thing Iâm pregnant,â Angie said jovially.  Stan scowled.
âThen we must be defining âgood thingâ differently,â he growled.
âIf I wasnât pregnant, I wouldnât have been able to delay âem hanginâ me,â Angie said.  âWithout that, you ân the crew wouldnât have rescued me from the clink in time.â
âYou got caught pirating!â Stan snapped.  âYou were about to be hanged!  Yeah, you were able to delay it this time, but next time?â Silently, he thanked whatever deity he believed in that day that they had come back from the rescue mission late enough the kids were asleep.
Donât want âem to see their parents fight. And judging by Angieâs already frustrated expression, this was definitely going to be a fight.
âThere wonât be a next time.â
âYouâre damn right.â  Stan met Angieâs eyes squarely.  ââCause youâre giving up piracy.â  Angieâs eyes flashed with anger.
       âYou have no right-â
âTo what?  Want my wife safe?  Want my kids to grow up with both parents?  Angie, I canât- I canât live like this anymore!  I canât watch you go to sea, knowing that you might not come back.  I love you too damn much to let you keep throwing your life away like this!â
âThis is the first time Iâve been caught,â Angie said, but her voice lacked some of the bite it had earlier.
âNow that itâs happened once, itâs gonna happen again.â  Stan reached out and took ahold of one of Angieâs hands.  He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb, feeling the thick scars from years of piracy.  âThere are some injuries that, when you recover from âem, youâre never the same. Youâve had a lot of those.  Itâs already started catching up with you. You know that.â  Angie looked away.
       âIâŚâ
âGive me a single reason you canât leave piracy.â
       âYou know my reasons.â
âThey were reasons you had when you first started. But they donât matter anymore, Ang! Your name â your real one â got cleared. Youâve got a family and a home. Youâve got money.  Give me a reason that still applies.â
âIâŚâ  Angie looked down at the floor.  After a moment, she sighed.  Without saying a word, she got up and walked away.
Shit.  Did I overstep?  Stan started to get up.  No. He sat back down.  Give her a bit of space.  You know how she is.  When a few minutes had passed, Stan couldnât hold himself back any longer.  He followed her outside.  In the light of the full moon, he could see her talking to Dan. He walked over.
âThanks fer savinâ me,â Angie said quietly.  âNot just- not just tonight.  All those other times.  I wouldnât be here if it wasnât fer you.â  Wordlessly, Dan enveloped her in a hug.  âTake good care of her, Dan,â Angie said, her voice cracking with emotion. They broke apart.  Dan ruffled Angieâs hair, nodded at Stan, and began to walk down the road that led to town.
âWhat was that about?â Stan asked.  Angieâs shoulders shook.  âAng, is everything all right?â
âNo!  Iâm- Iâm pregnant, Iâm sure itâs twins again, I was almost hanged tonight, and I just gave up everything I spent most of my life buildinâ up!â Angie snapped.
       âYouâŚâ
âDanâs goinâ to run Sweet Viola fer a few months before easinâ her out of the game.â  Angieâs head drooped.  âThis pirate king is hanginâ up her crown.â
âAngie.â  Stan tilted Angieâs chin to look into her eyes.  Eyes the color of the sea.  âThank you.â
âYou never thank folks,â Angie mumbled.
âThatâs how you know Iâm serious.â  Stan grinned.  âAnd youâre not giving up all the shit you spent so long on.  Youâve still got me.  Youâve still got the kids.  All five of âem.â
âNo, darlinâ, itâs definitely goinâ to be six,â Angie insisted.
       âWhat makes you so sure?â
       âA woman knows.â
       âIf you say so.â
âThatâs no way to talk to yer captain.â
âYou just gave up your ship,â Stan pointed out. Angie looked away.  Stan wrapped an arm around her shoulders.  âIâm just kidding, babe.  Youâll always be my captain.â
âDamn straight,â Angie muttered.  âBy the way, I might be givinâ up piracy, but I ainât givinâ up thievery.â
âGood,â Stan said.  âIâm gonna need your help to keep the shop stocked.â  Angie managed a soft laugh.  The two stayed outside.  Their home was atop a seaside cliff, from which they could see the dark ocean reflecting the pale moonlight.
Angie buried her head in Stanâs shirt, crying, as her ship disappeared over the horizon for the last time.
-----
They walked past a shop with a number of nice dresses in the storefront window.  Promptly, Danny and Daisy made a beeline for it, cooing over the fancy fabrics.  The whole family was in town to run a few errands.  Stan glanced at his wife.  Angie wasnât happy she had been dragged out of the house, but Emmett refused to go anywhere without her.
âMama, look!â Danny said excitedly, pointing at the dresses.  Angie forced a smile.
       âYes, dear, theyâre very nice.â
âYou should get it!  It would look so pretty on you!â
âSheâs got a point,â Stan whispered to her. Angie sighed heavily.
âIt would be nice to have some more clothinâ options.  I noticed the other day that I donât have many dresses.â
âWhat are you talking about?  Youâve got plenty!â
âYes, fer this!â  Angie gestured to her enormous baby bump.  With how big she was getting, Stan had finally begun to agree Angie was likely right, that they were having twins for a third time.  âBut after I give birth?  Most of the clothes what âll fit me were fer workinâ on the ship.â
âSo, something that a nice housewife wouldnât wear,â Stan said.  Angie nodded. âWell, want me to treat you to somethinâ nice?â  Angie rolled her eyes.
âI donât think even you can steal a whole dress in public without beinâ caught, darlinâ.â
âI wasnât gonna steal it.  I was gonna buy it.â
âBuy it?â  Angie put her hands on her hips.  âWho are you and what have ya done with my husband?â she asked, aghast. Stan laughed.  âItâs probâly expensive.  Iâm fine.â
âAfter the kids are born and youâre back to normal, Iâll get you somethinâ fancy, okay?â Stan said.  He held out his arm.  Angie took it with a smile.
âAll right.  If ya insist.â  She leaned in to talk quietly.  âDarlinâ, in all seriousness, yer okay with buyinâ somethinâ rather than stealinâ it?â
âAng, I havenât done much crime ashore.  Only small stuff I know I can get away with. I didnât wanna risk getting caught and leaving the kids all alone while you were at sea.â
ââŚRight.â  Angie sighed again.  âI keep forgettinâ how little Iâve been on land with you ân the kids.â
âYouâve got plenty of time to catch up on everything.â
âYes.  Since Iâm now permanently on shore leave.â  Angie raised her voice.  âGirls, leave the dresses alone, we have to go to the market.â  Reluctantly, Danny and Daisy abandoned the dresses and ran back to their parents.
âPapa, I wanna piggy-back ride,â Daisy whined.  From his perch atop Stanâs shoulders, Emory blew a raspberry at his older sister.
âEmoryâs got littler legs than you do,â Stan said. Daisy crossed her arms.
âEmmettâs walking just fine!â she argued, gesturing at Emmett, who was holding Stanâs hand.
âWhat have we talked about?â Angie asked patiently. Daisy pouted.
âBeing a good big sister,â she muttered.  Angie ruffled her hair.
âDonât worry, honey, when we get to the market, you can do some more pocket practice,â she cooed.  Daisyâs eyes lit up.  She nodded. The family continued walking down the street, Danny and Daisy running ahead eagerly.  Stan grinned cheekily at Angie.
âYouâre getting lazy, having the kids pickpocket for you,â he teased.
âIâm too pregnant to be quiet and get away fast,â Angie said.
       âFair.â
âIâm glad that even if yer not willinâ to do much crime lately, yer not extendinâ that to the kidlets.â
âItâs a lot easier to brush off a six-year-old taking something than a grown adult.â
âMm, true enough.â  Angie smoothed the fabric of her dress.  âOnce Iâm shipshape, Iâll get to restockinâ the shop, darlinâ.â  She smirked.  âIâm damn fine at sleight of hand.  Not to mention, no one would accuse the sweet housewife of larceny.â  Stan chuckled.
âI knew I married the right woman.â
âMama, whatâs larson?â Emmett asked abruptly. Angie smiled at her son.
âA grown-up word ya donât need to worry âbout.â
âLike âdamnâ,â Emory said helpfully.  Stan and Angie grimaced.
ââŚWe should probably work on cleaning up our sailorsâ mouths if we wanna avoid attracting attention,â Stan said quietly. Angie nodded.
       âAgreed.â
-----
Shermie walked up to the unassuming house.  A large sign outside read âMcGucketâs Marine Antiquesâ.
This is the right place, then.  Good.  Being a merchant, Shermie had to spend a lot of time away from his family, so he made sure to bring back souvenirs from each trip.  This trip, to a small town called Gravity Falls, had been woefully bereft of potential souvenirs.  As such, heâd been relieved when a local told him about the store on the edge of town full of fun and sparkly things.
âMaâam,â he said politely to the woman sitting on the porch, supervising two toddler boys playing on the front lawn.  On either side of her was a basket holding a young infant.  The woman looked up at him curiously.  Recognition flickered in her eyes.  She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, one of the infants began to fuss.  The woman quickly began to soothe the infant.         Shermie ducked into the house.  The room he was in looked like a proper shop.  Shelves lined the walls, groaning underneath the merchandise.  Some larger items, like a rusted anchor, were set on the floor, with price tags that seemed far too high to Shermie.  Two young girls in the corner giggled to each other as they picked through a box on the floor full of even more small items.
âWelcome to McGucketâs Marine Antiques!â a voice boomed. A familiar voice.  Shermieâs eyes widened.  He turned.  Behind the store counter was a face he hadnât seen in over a decade.
âStanley?â Shermie croaked.  His little brother gaped.
       ââŚShermie?â
âStan, what are you- how- you-â  Shermie ran his hands through his hair.  âThe people in town said the man who ran this store was named Stan McGucket, not Stan Pines.â  Stan grimaced.
âYeah.  UhâŚâ Stan looked over at the girls in the corner.  âDanny, Daisy.â  The girls looked up.  One had the distinctive Pines nose.  âIf anyone comes in, go get your ma and have her handle the customer.â  The girls nodded.  âAll right, Shermie, come with me, Iâll answer all your questions.â
âYou better,â Shermie mumbled.  Stan pushed open a door located behind the counter. Shermie followed him into the house proper.  The living room they walked into was cozy and nautical-themed, full of dĂŠcor that looked like it came from a ship.  Stan gestured to a couch.  Shermie sat down.  Stan sat in a chair across from him.
âThe people in town said this place was run by Stan McGucket because it is.â
       âBut how-â
âIâll tell you everything, but first, what do you know?â Stan asked.  Shermie raised an eyebrow.
ThatâsâŚinteresting.  Stanâs careful dodge reminded Shermie a lot of how his brother would construct lies as a teen.  He would ask what someone knew, then build his lie around that information.  Asking first allowed him to avoid contradicting something known to the person he was lying to.  Hopefully heâs not lying to me now.  Iâve fallen out of practice seeing through Stanâs lies.
âYou were captured by pirates over a decade ago,â Shermie said, deciding to take Stan at face value.  âAt some point after you were captured by pirates, Stanford disappeared at sea.â  Stan nodded.
âYeah, thatâs right.â  He sighed.  âFord actually caught up to the ship I was captive on.  I got free in the fight, but FordâŚheâŚâ  Stan looked down at the ground.  âWell, I didnât see his body, so Iâm holding onto the hope that heâs still alive.â
       âStanâŚâ
âThe people in town know me as Stan McGucket âcause thatâs my name now,â Stan continued, talking over Shermie.  âWhile I was captured by pirates, one of them decided he liked my name and took it.  I didnât like the idea of sharing a name with a pirate, so I took my wifeâs last name.â
That smells like a lie.  Shermieâs brain caught up with what Stan was saying.  Wait, what?
       âYouâre married?â Shermie asked.
âYeah.  You saw Angie â my wife â outside.  At least, I hope you did.  She said she was watching four of the kids out there.â
âIâŚâ  Shermie kneaded his forehead.  âOkay. Now I need to know how you met your wife.â
âAfter I escaped from the pirates, I decided to stay at sea to look for Ford.  I didnât- I didnât wanna come home without him, yâknow?â
âYes, I do,â Shermie said quietly.
âI managed to get a spot on board a merchant ship where her brother, Lute, was first mate.  He was looking for her after she got captured by pirates.  Eventually, we found the ship she was on and rescued her.â
âYouâŚyou rescued your future wife from pirates?â Shermie asked, dumbfounded.  Stan nodded. âWhy am I not surprised?â  Stan smirked slightly.
âWe both stayed at sea as merchants,â he continued, âand fell in love pretty quick.  After we had the first set of twins, I decided to move ashore with âem. Angie, she, uh-â  He laughed quietly.  âShe decided to keep sailing.  Even after we had another set of twins.â
       âReally?â
       âWhat can I say?  I married a free spirit.â
Makes sense Stan would find someone like himself.
âWhen she found out she was pregnant for the third time, though, we had a long talk, and decided that sheâd move ashore with me permanently.  I like having her close by.â
âIâd imagine having her help with the kids would be nice as well.â
âEh.  Weâve got some former crewmates in town that love watching the kids,â Stan said with a shrug.  âThatâs why we settled here.  With that help, keeping track of the kids wasnât what I was concerned about.  I missed my wife.â  There was something more, though.  A haunted look lingered in Stanâs eyes.
âYou were worried about her safety,â Shermie said. Stan looked away.  âI canât blame you.  Itâs dangerous to be a merchant.â
Heâs already lost his twin to the sea.  Of course he doesnât want to lose his wife, too.
âYeah, well.â  Stan cleared his throat.  âIâve got Angie on shore with me now.  Weâve got six great kids.  Lifeâs pretty good.â
âYes.  I can see that.  Mom will be relieved to hear youâre fine.â
âSheâs gonna show up within a week of you telling her,â Stan mumbled.
âCan you blame her?â Shermie asked.  Stan shook his head.
âNot after having my own kids, no.â  The door opened.  The woman from outside, who Shermie now knew to be Stanâs wife, Angie, poked her head into the room.
âDarlinâ, should I be planninâ on an extra person fer dinner?â she asked.  Shermie tried to hide his surprise at Angieâs strong accent.
âNo need,â Shermie said, getting up from the couch. âI need to be going back to my ship before long.  But before I head out, I should do what I came here to do.â
âWhatâd you come here for?â Stan asked, getting up as well.
âTo buy something for my kids.â  Shermie raised an eyebrow.  âMight I be able to get a family discount from my little brother that disappeared for ten years?â  Stan sighed heavily.  âIf I get a good deal, I might forget to mention you to Mom for a few daysâŚâ  A twinkle appeared in Stanâs eye.
âMake it a week, and Iâll see what I can do.â
       âDeal.â

Tea of Love
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Other Characters: Sam, Castiel, Crowley, Rowena
Imagine: Youâre hunting a witch with Sam and Dean, only to fall victim to her curse.
A/N: This is my contribution to the SPN Bi-Weekly Writing Challenge offered by @supernatural-jackles. I signed up to contribute on a monthly basis, but it looks like I missed the deadline. Here it is all the same. Enjoy!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Dean parked the Impala a good distance away from the two-story farmhouse. Far enough away to be hidden from sight, but still within running distance for a quick getaway if needed.
You had received word that a witch was causing trouble, and had tracked her to the town of Smithville, Arkansas. The plan was to sneak in to the house, with you going in through the back entrance, while Sam and Dean went in through the front door.
"All right, weapons check," Dean whispered. Each of you ejected the clip from your handguns, yours from your .380, to make sure it was full of witch-killing bullets. Satisfied, you re-inserted the clip and pulled back on the hammer so that a round was in the chamber. After a successful weapons check, Sam went up the steps and started picking the lock on the front door.
"Ready?" you asked as you turned to head for the back door.
Dean nodded. "Hey? Be careful," he remarked softly.
You sent him a quick smile. "Always, Dean. See you inside," you replied. You and Sam be careful too, Dean, you said in silent prayer.
Quickly and quietly, you made your way to the back door. The wooden steps to the porch looked like they had seen too many blistering summers and frostbitten winters to still be stable. You carefully climbed the steps, sticking to the edges where the wood appeared to be less worn.
You gingerly tested the doorknob, only to find that it turned easily in your hand. An unlocked door could mean one of two things: a careless witch or you had just walked into her trap. While you were hoping for the first option, with your luck, you had a feeling it was probably door #2. You tiptoed through the kitchen, through the living room and down the hall to the bedrooms. First bedroom on the right was clear, second one across the hall was also clear.
As you carefully approached the last bedroom, you realized that you hadn't seen Sam or Dean yet. You stopped and strained your ears for any confirmation that they had even entered the house yet. Just as you were about to resume your progress towards the bedroom door, you felt a hand on your shoulder. You whipped around, only to be confronted by the mossy green orbs of one Dean Winchester.
With your heart hammering in your chest, you took a moment for it to return to normal before continuing your trek down the hall. "What is wrong with you?" you hissed. "You shouldn't just sneak up on me like that!"
"Well, excuse me," he shot back. "First of all, I didn't expect for you to have gotten this far without running into the witch. And 'B', isn't it better to go in knowing you have backup than only hoping you do?" he retorted.
You took a deep breath before answering. "You're right. Sorry Dean," you whispered. "Let's get this witch taken down so we can blow this popstand," you replied.
Dean nodded and motioned for you to continue down the hall. You turned the doorknob and slowly swung the door open. You entered the room first to assess the situation, while Dean stood just outside the door, ready to bust in if needed.
The witch had her back to you as she sprinkled something into a bowl. All of a sudden she raised her arms above her head as if in victory and turned to face the doorway. "I was wondering when you hunters were going to show up. I've been expecting you," she smirked.
Before you could raise your weapon, she picked up the bowl and threw its contents at you. The blue powder from the bowl doused you almost completely from head to toe. As she chanted some words in Latin, the powder started to glow and burn a bit wherever it touched bare skin. You cried out in pain, at which time Dean entered the room and fired his weapon. The witch fell to the floor, dead from the witch-killing bullet he fired.
"Dean," you pleaded softly as you started to feel faint.
"Whoa, hold on there. Stay with me, sweetheart," Dean said as he rushed to catch you before you could hit the floor. He called out for Sam, who had finally caught up with you and Dean. Sam scooped you up in his arms and carried you out to the Impala.
Dean filled him in on what had happened between you and the witch. "I don't know what kind of spell she got hit with, so we're going to have to be ready for just about anything," Dean said grimly.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You carefully opened your eyes enough to notice that you were back in your room, in your bed instead of the backseat of the Impala. You decided to sit up, only to be met with a splitting headache. A groan of pain escaped your lips as you eased back onto your pillow and draped your bandaged arm across your eyes.
There was a soft knock at your door, then you heard it creak open. "Hiya, sweetheart," Dean said softly. "How're you feeling?" he asked.
"Like I got hit by a truck. Twice," you grumbled.
Dean chuckled. "Here, I gotcha," he said as he handed you a couple of painkillers and a bottle of water. He helped you up to a sitting position, putting pillows between your back and the headboard.
"Thank you," you replied. "What the hell happened? The last thing I remember is that witch throwing a bowl of some kind of powder at me. Then I remember her chanting something, the powder burning into my skin, then you killed her," you finished.
"Well, that's about it, you collapsed after that and we brought you back here in the Impala," Dean explained. "Sam brought you in and put you on your bed," he remarked.
"How long was I out?" you asked.
"You've been out for about a day and a half, sweetheart," he remarked softly. "We called Rowena to see if she could tell what you may have been hit with, so we'd know how to counteract it. And, oh yeah, Crowley tagged along, just so you know," he grumbled.
"Oh. Fabulous," you deadpanned. "I'll bet he's just been a joy to be around," you snorted.
Dean laughed. "Yeah, he said he was bored in Hell, so he latched on to Mummy's magic bag to show up here," he grinned.
You reached over and took Dean's hand in yours. "Hey, in case I forgot to tell you, Dean....thank you for getting me out of there and taking care of me here," you remarked softly.
He shifted a little in his seat and nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, sure, no problem. All in a day's work, you know," he said as he jumped up from the chair. "Um, I'm uh....gonna just....yeah. I'll check in on you later," Dean then bolted out of your room.
What the hell was that all about? you thought, as you replayed the conversation in your mind. When you got to the part where you took his hand, you mentally smacked yourself in the forehead. He was fine until then, you realized. After that it was awkward, because he doesn't want you to get the wrong idea. He's telling you that he doesn't think of you in 'that way'. You leaned your head back against the headboard and squeezed your eyes shut, willing the tears not to fall.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
It's been almost ten years since you came to live in the bunker. You met the Winchesters through a mutual friend, Sheriff Donna Hanscum, whom you've known since high school. She never knew you were a hunter until after Sam and Dean showed up at that spa she went to. You had caught wind of some strange things happening at that spa, so you went in with her, but undercover as a patient.
You and Sam clicked instantly, becoming best friends. You both nerded out about the same things, like books, sci-fi, and research. You liked the same kinds of movies and were more at home in a library than the bar.
You and Dean were a different story. At first, you didn't get along at all, because he thought you would be someone else he'd have to be responsible for. That is, until you stepped in front of the swipe of a werewolf's claws to save his life. Despite your condition, you still managed to fire off three silver bullets at its heart to kill it before collapsing from your injury. After that, Dean seemed to see you as a fellow hunter, rather than a civilian he had to constantly keep watch over.
Too bad he didn't also see you as a woman--full of passion, kindness and understanding, with eyes only for him. You watched as he showered his attention and affections on countless other women, just not on the one woman who truly knew and loved him. So, you handled your feelings by using the Winchester Method: you shoved them down out of the way and pretended that they didn't exist.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
A couple of hours later, you carefully got out of bed and wandered into the kitchen. You picked up the teakettle, filled it with water and added several pinches of your special blend of tea. While you waited, you grabbed your favorite cup from the cabinet and took a seat at the table.
"Well hello, dear! Nice to see ye up and around, 'specially after what ye've been through, darlin'," a voice from behind you said. You turned to see it was Rowena, which brought a small smile to your face.
"Hello, Rowena," you replied. "Any luck figuring out what we're up against?" you asked.
"Not yet, dearie. Still workin' on it, but don't ye worry abou' it," Rowena assured you.
"I hope so," you murmured. "Would you like some tea?" you asked.
Rowena shook her head and smiled. At that moment, Sam, Dean and Castiel came into the kitchen and walked over to the table. Sam and Cas each squeezed your shoulder as they took their seats. "Hey, sweetheart, you must be feeling better," Dean remarked as he kissed the top of your head.
You smiled and nodded. The teakettle whistled that it was ready to serve, so you rose from the table. "You guys want some tea? I made some from my secret stash," you grinned.
The boys all nodded, so you got out three extra cups, along with the cream, sugar and honey. You poured cups of tea for everyone, then resumed your seat at the table. You added a bit of creamer and some sugar to your tea.
"So, what's in this 'special blend' of tea you made?" Sam asked.
"Well, it's got some dried orange zest in it, some cinnamon, black tea leaves, ground nutmeg. And a few other secret ingredients," you winked conspiratorially.
"Mmm, I think it's delicious," Cas remarked as he took another sip, with Sam nodding in agreement.
Dean watched as you absently stirred your tea, while the others talked among themselves. Your furrowed brow showed him you were still coming to terms with what had happened in the past few days.
It had not yet been determined what kind of curse you'd been hit with, and he knew you had to be worried. Your eyes glistened a bit with unshed tears which told him you might be more than a little scared of that unknown. You stood up from the table just as he was about to reach out for your hand to comfort you.
"I think I'll go take a shower. Might feel a bit more human if I do, after wearing the same clothes for the past few days. Excuse me," you murmured as you left the kitchen. Dean stared after you, wanting so badly to help you. To show you it was okay to be scared, and that he would do everything in his power to figure out how to reverse the spell.
At that moment, Crowley waltzed into the kitchen. "Hello, Mother, Feathers, Moose, Squirrel," he drawled. "Where's our little Mouse? Can't complete the clubhouse roll call unless she's here to sound off," he smirked.
"She left to go take a shower," Dean grumbled as he brushed past Crowley out of the kitchen.
Crowley noticed Dean's full cup of tea and took a drink. "This is wonderful, delicious, wherever did it come from?" he asked. Sam told him it was from your own homemade blend of tea and spices. Crowley shrugged and continued to drink the tea.
As the men continued to drink the tea, Rowena noticed a bit of a change in each one. Their thoughts seemed to become more focused towards you, and had also turned more amorous in nature. Before she could voice her observations, Sam left the table after downing the rest of his tea.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After your shower, you brought your favorite book and settled into a chair in the library. Once you had made yourself comfortable, Sam approached you and knelt beside your chair. He smiled up at you as he took your hand in his and brushed his lips across the back of it.
"Sam, what's going on?" you asked in bewilderment.
"N-nothing, I just wanted to spend some time with you, be around you. What book are you reading?" he asked.
You were a bit confused at the sudden focus of Sam's attention on you. But you pushed it aside for the moment and explained the plot of the book you were reading. He asked if he could read it aloud to you, which you politely declined. Then he broke out the best version of his puppy-dog eyes, and you were powerless to resist. You relented with a smile, and he suggested that you curl up with him on the couch to be more comfortable.
Moving from your chair to the couch, you made sure to bring your favorite blanket with you. Once you got all settled, you showed Sam where you left off in your book so he could start reading. The gentle lilt of Sam's voice as he read to you caused your eyelids to feel heavy until you could no longer keep them open.
Dean walked through the library just in time to see you curled up with Sam, and for Sam to press a kiss to your forehead. An uncomfortable feeling settled into his chest, but he had no idea why. He shook it off for the moment and headed for the garage to work on the Impala.
About an hour later, you awoke to find Sam's arms around you and his cheek pressed against your forehead. You tried to extract yourself, but Sam tightened his embrace a bit more. "Mmm, don't go Baby, stay here with me a little longer," he mumbled.
Baby? you wondered. Since when am I 'Baby' to anyone around here?!? your thoughts screamed.
You managed to wriggle yourself out of his arms and into a upright position. "Sam, wake up. Sam! Wake up!" you shook his arm to try and rouse him. Your efforts were unsuccessful, because he stayed asleep. Puzzled, you picked up your book and your blanket then returned to your room.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The next morning, you woke to find that Castiel had set the table for the two of you to have breakfast. "Good morning," he greeted you with a wide smile.
Not quite awake yet, you answered him with a yawn then a smile. "Good morning, Cas. What's going on here?" you asked, gesturing towards the table.
"I thought it would be nice to have breakfast made for you when you awakened, Honeybee," he stated.
'Honeybee'? What is going on with the men in this bunker lately?!? you thought. "Well, you certainly brought out one of my favorites, peanut butter and banana toast," you grinned.
You reached for two slices of bread from the wrapper. Cas took them from your hands before you could put them in the toaster. "Please, allow me," he said. He added the bread to be toasted and proudly pushed down on the lever.
When it was finished, the bread popped up, perfectly golden brown, with no burnt edges. Cas placed the toast on a plate and set it on the table. Just as he was about to pick up the knife to spread the peanut butter, you stopped him. "Cas, not that I don't appreciate it, but I don't mind fixing my own toast. You've done so much already, why don't you take a little break?" you suggested.
His face fell a bit, then all of a sudden lit up. "I just remembered that you like to drink milk with your peanut butter toast. Be back in just a moment," he grinned, tapping the end of your nose before heading to the fridge. Cas returned shortly with a small glass of cold milk. "Here you are, Honeybee," he remarked shyly.
"Thank you, Cas. Exactly what I needed. So, what are your plans today?" you asked.
"I'm glad you asked. I was going to see if you would like to go on a walk with me, maybe see some wildflowers? I know of a lovely field we could visit, if you are interested....?" he asked, his voice full of hope.
You were planning on doing some research to try and find something to counteract the curse. You also didn't want to be too far away from the bunker in case a cure was found. From the look on Castiel's face, though, you couldn't bear to disappoint him.
"That sounds lovely, Cas. We could leave in an hour, if you wish. That would give me time to finish my breakfast, take a shower and all that," you added.
"I shall endeavor to keep myself busy until you return, my sweet Honeybee," Cas said as he took hold of your hand and gently kissed the back. With a whoosh of his wings, he was gone.
As soon as he had gone out of sight, you slumped over the table, putting your head in your hands. Dean arrived in the kitchen shortly after hearing you let out a groan of frustration. "What's with you this morning?" he asked.
You returned to an upright position. "Good morning, Dean. Cas made me breakfast today, which was very sweet, and now he wants me to go with him to check out a field of wildflowers. I think there's something very strange going on around here. I wish I knew what it was," you grumbled.
"Why is Cas wanting to spend time with you and do things for you 'strange'? Do you not enjoy his company? I mean, if you don't want to go, just tell him. Don't string him along, Princess," Dean retorted.
You looked at Dean with a mixture of shock, anger and hurt on your face. "Like I said, something strange is going on around here. First Sam, then Cas, now you," you retorted as you bolted from your chair.
Dean closed his eyes and instantly felt remorse for what he had said, because he knew you weren't like that. You didn't play games with people's emotions, and when you loved someone, you did it with your whole heart. Unfortunately, doing so had led to your heart being broken by too many others along the way.
He understood about your independent nature, which was one of the things he admired about you. To have anyone do anything for you was sometimes hard for you to accept. You were so used to being the one who cared for or catered to others, not so much the other way around.
As he gave it more thought, he realized that neither Sam nor Cas had shown any romantic interest in you until recently. Dean began to wonder if maybe you had a point about strange things going on in the bunker. He promised himself that when you came back from your outing with Cas, that he would apologize.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You and Cas spent a lovely afternoon walking through a field of wildflowers. Cas told you about every species of flower and what each color meant. He found a spot underneath a willow tree, where he produced a picnic basket containing assorted fruits and cheeses. You showed him how to make flower crowns as someone had once shown you. Then you placed one on his head and took a picture.
Upon your return to the bunker, you searched for a vase to hold the wildflowers you and Cas had picked. As you arranged the flowers, Cas placed his hands on your shoulders, then began to run them up and down your arms. When you had finished with the flowers, Cas took one of your hands in his and led you into the library.
Cas punched some buttons on his phone. After appearing quite frustrated at times, he finally relaxed and music started playing from his phone. He pulled you into his arms and started dancing with you, a love-struck grin on his face.
At one point, Cas spun you out away from him, which is the exact moment that Dean walked into the library. He looked at you and Cas dancing with a raised eyebrow, which caused your face to grow warm. "C-Cas, th-thank you for a lovely afternoon," you stammered. "Sorry," you mumbled as you brushed past Dean and out of the room.
"Cas? Is there something going on between you two?" Dean asked.
A large grin spread across Cas' face as he sighed deeply before answering Dean's question. "I'm not sure, Dean. I've never felt the way I do except when I'm with her. I would be the luckiest man in all of Creation if she loved me," he answered dreamily. Then he seemed to snap back to reality. "I must go, I am needed elsewhere," Cas said, returning to what Dean considered "normal" for Cas.
Dean shook his head, even more confused as to what was going on. First, you were snuggled up with Sam, then dancing with Castiel. He decided to check in with Rowena to see if she knew anything more.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
While Dean was in the library trying to figure things out, you were sitting on the edge of your bed trying to do the same thing. A knock on your door interrupted your thoughts. Your visitor was literally the last person you ever expected to see. Crowley had on an apron, covered in flour and bits of what looked like cake batter stuck to it.
"Good evening, Love," he bowed and took your hand in his. "I was wondering if you would consider, um, helping me with a small problem. You see, someone told me you were a fan of cheesecakes, and I ran into some difficulty trying to make you one. Might I request the honor of your assistance in the kitchen, so you can show me the proper....technique?" he suggested.
It took every ounce of self-control you had not to break out into laughter or tears. The absurd events of the last two days were leading you to believe the witch put an insanity curse on you. Quickly regaining your composure, you told Crowley that you would meet him in the kitchen in about 10 minutes. "Until then, my darling," he remarked softly, placing a lingering kiss on your cheek.
As soon as the door was closed, you sank down on the edge of the bed again. "This is too weird," you whispered to yourself. "Now Crowley wants to spend time with me?? This is some curse I've got on me. I think it's making me lose my mind," you mused.
When you opened your door, you heard a heated argument occurring in the kitchen between Sam, Cas and Crowley. You walked slowly to the kitchen, catching bits and pieces of the harsh words spoken between the men. Each one claimed to love you more than the other two, and promised to fight anyone who dared try and take you away. Â Insults were traded and fists were raised, ready to do battle.
You turned around and were headed back to your room when you ran smack into Dean. "Well, Princess, looks like you hit the jackpot in there," he snarled, his arms folded across his chest.
"I--" was all you could say.
"Congratulations, you've got every woman's fantasy going on in that kitchen. Three men fighting for her affections," he taunted.
"Not every woman, Dean. Not me," you choked out as you pushed away from him, tears streaming down your face.
Dammit! How did I end up doing and saying the exact opposite of what I wanted? Dean thought. I need to go talk to Rowena, see if she knows anything else about this curse, he decided. First things first, though, he was going to put a stop to what was happening in the kitchen.
"ENOUGH!" he thundered. Sam, Castiel and Crowley all turned to look at Dean. "Everyone retreat to a neutral corner until we can figure out what's going on," he ordered.
Dean turned down the hallway to Rowena's room. As he came around the corner, you briefly met his gaze as you passed him in the hallway, only to quickly drop it again. Dean reached out his hand for yours. "Wait," he pleaded.
You shook your head at him, fresh tear tracks evident on your cheeks. "No, Dean. I don't want to talk to you right now. I never meant for any of this to happen. I think it's best if I remove myself from the equation for the time being. At least until Rowena can figure out how to reverse the spell," you finished. With that, you closed and locked your bedroom door.
Dean's heart ached to hear the pain in your voice and to see your tear-stained face. He knocked on Rowena's door and entered her room when she granted him access. "What can I do fer ye, Dean?" she asked in her lilting accent.
He mentioned how he had just left the kitchen, where Sam, Cas and her beloved son were fighting over you. "They've all been paying extra attention to her, being all romantic and stuff. What's weird, is that they've never even shown any kind of interest in her before," Dean explained.
"Sam's reading with her and snuggling on the couch, Cas is taking her out for a picnic and to pick wildflowers." He turned to Rowena, pointed his finger at her and narrowed his eyes. "Your son is wearing an apron, asking her to teach him how to bake a damn cheesecake," he huffed. "I swear, it's as if that witch cast a--" he broke off.
"A love spell?" Rowena asked. "Tha's exactly what it was," she confirmed.
"Can you reverse it?" Dean asked.
"I can, but.....," she started.
"But what?" Dean asked.
"It's no' real love that Samuel, Castiel and Fergus have for her. When they realize that fact, it's bound to be a bit awkward at first. They may act a little distant towards her, and she will think sheâs done something wrong to make them pull away. She'll believe that the friendship she has with each of them has been ruined, that it's over. It could break her kind and generous heart," Rowena explained.
Dean dropped his gaze to the floor. He knew Rowena was right, and that you would probably isolate yourself in an attempt to maintain order in the bunker.
"Of course, once the right man declares his feelings for the wee lassie, her heart will mend. In time, anyway. Then Samuel, Castiel and Fergus won't feel like they have to stay away from her," she continued.
Dean noticed how she had suddenly focused her attention on him and scoffed. "Whoa, do you mean me? That I should declare my feelings for her? I'm not--"
"Aren't ye?" Rowena asked softly. "Search your heart, Dean. Ye've been in love with her for a while now, haven't ye? Seeing her together with another man, let alone three? Doing the type of romantic things that ye've thought abou' doin' with her? I'd say it's enough to make any normal man just a wee bit jealous. I can only imagine what it's doin' to ye," she remarked.
"Pfft," was the best response he could muster for the moment. "Start working on that spell reversal. I need to head into town for some supplies," Dean replied.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The next morning, Rowena announced that she had prepared the antidote for the witch's love spell. Turns out, it was your tea that had triggered the exaggerated feelings of love. You touched the tea blend with your fingers to add it to the water in the teakettle. Then, the effects of the spell were transferred to whomever drank the tea.
Each man drank the concoction and waited for its effects to kick in, which didn't take long once the antidote was consumed. As predicted, there were profuse apologies to you from all three men. They all assured you that though they didn't think of you romantically, they still loved you in their own way. You smiled and assured them that you were fine, no harm done, that you knew that the right someone was still out there.
But behind your closed bedroom door, it was a different story. At night, you laid awake, staring at the ceiling. You understood that their attention to you was only because of the spell.
You remembered how Sam, Castiel and Crowley all looked at you. You tried not to think about how it would feel to have Dean look at you just once the way they did. Still, you knew that the chances of Dean feeling that way about you for real were slim to none. Especially after everything he said while the others were under the spell.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Today marked a full week since you'd gone into hiding, emerging only for little more than a shower and something to eat. You took most of your meals in your room, instead of eating at the table with everyone else. Dean was growing increasingly worried about you, and was determined to get you to break out of your sanctuary.
He knocked at your door relentlessly, trying to coax you out with offers of a movie marathon with your favorite snacks. He even suggested a midnight stargazing outing in the Impala. However, nothing seemed to be working.
At one point you heard, "You can't ignore me forever, sweetheart," he muttered against your door. Oh yeah? You thought defiantly. Watch me.
Halfway through week two of your self-imposed exile, you needed a new book to read. You carefully unlocked and opened your bedroom door, then looked down the hall. No one was in sight in either direction, so you tiptoed out of your room and into the library. You chose a nice, thick book, then rushed back to your room before anyone could see you. Once back inside your room, you quickly closed and re-locked the door, breathing a deep sigh of relief.
"Hey, sweetheart," a voice rumbled from someone sitting in the chair in the corner.
The heavy book dropped from your hands and nearly fell on your toes. You gasped in surprise and clutched at your hammering heart. "What did I tell you about sneaking up on me?!? Not to do it, if I recall," you retorted.
"Didn't really leave me much choice, though, did you? I wasn't sure if you ever wanted to see me again, but I wanted to see you. Been hiding in here for almost two weeks now," Dean remarked softly.
"I've had my reasons, Dean. This whole curse thing has left me more confused than ever. Sam, Cas and even Crowley never thought of me romantically until that spell came along. And you? You've made your feelings clear about the whole situation at every turn.
"So," you continued. "On the one hand, it takes a 'love spell' for guys like Sam, Cas and Crowley to want to be with someone like me. On the other hand, when I am with someone like them, you don't like it and make nasty remarks about the whole thing. Please tell me, Dean, where's the incentive to make me want to be anywhere but in my room by myself? Hmm?" you challenged.
Dean rose from the chair in the corner and strode over to the door where you were still standing. He stood close enough for you to detect his woodsy cologne, mixed with the mint of his mouthwash. He reached up and tenderly tucked a stray lock of hair behind your ear.
"I understand how you feel. But, before I do this, I need you to know that I have always loved you," he said softly. The hand that had so recently fixed your hair slid around to the back of your head. It pulled you closer until your lips meshed with Dean's in a hungry, demanding kiss.
Dean swallowed the soft moan of pleasure that escaped your lips. His free arm snaked around your waist to bring you flush against his body. His kisses roamed everywhere, trying to leave no territory untouched. Your cheeks, your neck, collarbone and more was all fair game for Dean. "So beautiful," he murmured against your shoulder.
"Dean," you whispered. You reached up to cup Dean's face with your hands, stroking his cheek with your thumbs. You tangled your fingers into his spiky hair and gently tugged on it, earning a groan of appreciation.
Dean's hands roamed up and down your back, gripping and releasing the fabric of your shirt. When the need for air became too great, the kissing was broken, leaving you and Dean each trying to catch your breath. You put your foreheads together as your breathing slowly returned to normal.
Dean took your hands and guided you to sit next to him on the edge of your bed. "Baby, I'm so sorry for what I said to you before when that whole thing with the spell was going on. I guess it was because I was jealous of Sam, Cas and even Crowley," he admitted with a sheepish grin.
"Oh, my love. There wasn't anything to be jealous of. It was kind of weird, all of a sudden having those guys chasing after me," you giggled. You brought your hand down to cup his cheek, running your thumb over his stubbled jawline. "It's always been you that I've been in love with for so long. But, I thought you'd only ever see me as a fellow hunter, or at most, a best friend. Never as the woman who loves you," you replied softly.
"Darlin', what I see before me is a woman who lights up a room whenever she walks into it. A woman with a kind and generous heart that tends to put the needs of others before her own. I see a woman with an exceptional sense of humor, who's smart and sexy as hell. And just as she has chosen me, I choose her. Every time," he finished.
"I love you, Dean," you said softly.
"I love you too, sweetheart," he replied as he leaned in to recapture your lips in a soft, sweet kiss.

Kinky Questions, Go!! ALL 50! At least the ones you haven't gotten yet.
*knucklecrack*
1:Â Kitchen Counter, Couch, or on top of the dryer?
"Yes. If I gotta pick one, couch. Th' dryer's noisy an' I like bein' able t' hear th' other person.
2:Â Your last sexual encounter: Good or Bad and why:
Answered here!
3:Â A fictional person that you think would be good in bed:
(I actually don't know any ingame fiction to draw an answer from here, sorry. <.<)
4:Â Something that never fails to make you horny:
"Pullin' me int' you. Up, down, chest-t'-chest, back-t'-chest, whatever. Not often I get manhandled, y'ken?"
5:Â Where is one place you would never have sex:
"I mean, never say never, but somewhere it'd take some real convincin' t'get me t' do it? Th' meetin' space at th' center o' th' Dreamgrove. I'd sooner set my 'air on fire than fuck where th' statue o' Malorne might watch me, an' Remulos would not approve."
(Rest below the cut! Yes I did do all of them!)
6:Â The most awkward moment during a sexual experience was when:
"...Wakin' up in a pile o' people after an especially long bender, none of 'om I recognized, an' not one stitch o' clothin' anywhere in sight except fer a gnome-sized miniskirt. An' there were no gnomes in th' pile! "Days like tha' are why I don't fuck drunk anymore."
7:Â Weirdest thing that ever made you horny:
"Tenderizin' steak." Sigh. "Pretty sure it was th' smell o' th' raw meat, mostly.
8:Â What is the best way to sexually bind someone: Handcuffs, Rope, or Other [if other please explain]:
"With my bare 'ands, or with my teeth 'oldin' somethin' sensitive. Wolf's snout kin fit all th' way 'round most people's throats without actually bitin' down as long as I get th' canines all th' way across, an' as long as neither of us move too terribly much, it's great fun."
9:Â What is the fastest way to make you horny:
"Hook a finger in my collar an' pull me t' yer eye level. Trouble is, if we're not already pretty damn close an' y' start grabbin' at my collar, I might punch y'."
10:Â Top or bottom?
"Switch."
11:Â We were about to ____________ but then ______________ [example: we were about to have sex but then his mom walked in] "We were about t' sneak off t' start our 'oneymoon but then I tripped through a portal some jackass dropped in th' middle o' th' weddin' party an' 'ad t' fly all th' way back first.
12:Â Is one orgasm enough? Are multiple orgasms necessary?
"Sometimes it's enough, sometimes it's a start, sometimes it's not even th' point. Really depends on th' mood at th' moment, dunnit? I like t'go as many rounds as either of us kin stand, most o' th' time, but I def'nitely find plenty o' value in just one long, slow go tha' ends when it ends.
13:Â Something that you have hidden in your room that you donât want anyone to find:
His expression was less jovial than for most of these questions. "Th' collar I made for Vandy."
14:Â Weirdest nickname a significant other has ever called you:
"Squigglebird. Long story."
15:Â Two things you like [or dislike] about oral sex:
"Like th' noises it makes a person make--vocally, I mean--an' th' views it gives o' th' person I'm goin' down on an' th' person tha's goin' down on my. Don't like th' taste all tha' much, really 'ate some o' th' noises yer lips an' throat make if yer a li'l overzealous."
16:Â Weirdest sexual act some has performed [or tried to perform] on/with you:
"Li'l inflatable toy thingie in m' backside. Felt alright fer a while, cuz I mean it wasn't like it was th' first time I'd 'ad anythin' in there, but ah... she kept goin' past my willin'ness, an' it got pretty damn uncomfortable pretty damn fast. I might be willin' t' try it again but not without a lotta thought b'fore'and, an' not with my 'ands bound.
17:Â Have you ever tasted yourself? [If no, would you?] [If yes, what did you think?]
"Yeah." He shrugged. "Tasted like cum. Nothin' special."
18:Â Is it ever okay to not use a condom:
"I mean, if y'both agree to it an' y'don't fool around with anybody else, then yeah it's fine. Overwhelmin' majority o' th' time, I wrap up, even with m'wives."
19:Â Who was the sexiest teacher you ever had?
"...I din't 'ave any teachers I thought were sexy? My first shan'do was a 'andsome elven woman 'o could arm-wrestle a grizzly an' win, but she wasn't wha' I'd call sexy. Too gruff, too keen t' be alone."
20:Â A food that you would like to use during a sexual experience:
"Not somethin' I really think about in advance, t'be honest. Cook or no cook, food just kinda 'appens on a whim."
21:Â How big is too big:
"Can't get my mouth 'round it is usually a problem. Length isn't so much a concern, just means y' won't get t' bury it all th' way after a certain point unless y' want me dead."
22:Â One sexual thing you would never do:
"Mess with any bod'ly fluids besides cum. I tried real 'ard t'understand tha' one an' I just can't, sorry. Gross."
23:Â Biggest turn on:
"Depends on th' person; wha's 'ot from one is wierd comin' from another. Pickin' out of a hat? When Val'rin says somethin', then rolls 'is eyes up t' look at me an' tacks on a plaintive li'l 'Sir?' at th'end."
24:Â Three spots that drive you insane:
"Pretty much anywhere on m' throat, th' undersides o' my wrists, an' my 'air. Partic'larly yankin' on it. Just... don't come up an' do it outta nowhere. Like with m' collar, tha' shit'll get y' punched an' I'd argue y' prolly deserve it."
25:Â Worst possible time to get horny:
"Most times aren't really tha' bad, Iunno... middle of a warzone I guess?"
26:Â Do you like it when your sexual partner moans:
"I'm kinna suspicious of anybody 'o doesn't. Wha' kinna person doesn't love tha' kinda instant feedback? Tell me I'm doin' a good job, tell me 'ow t' do a better job, tell me just 'ow blown yer mind is by losin' track o' words, sing me a song."
27:Â Worst sexual idea you ever had:
"Really dunno why I thought it was a good idea t' let a blindfolded guy toss me anywhere, least of all into a bed with a solid headboard on it."
He touched the back of his head in remembered pain.
28:Â How much fapping is too much fapping:
"When yer chafed an' still 'aven't finished cuz yer too damned raw and desensitized t' get off, it's prolly time t' stop fer a while."
29:Â Best sexual complement you ever got:
Answered here!
30:Â Bald, landing strip, Jumanji:
"Landin' strip, ideally. I kin deal with whatever but tha's th' most convenient amount. Less potential fer mess."
31:Â Is it good sex if you donât nut?
"What a bizarre question, 'course it is. Shit, sometimes tha's 'alf th' point."
32:Â Fill in the blank: âIf they ____________, we are fuckinâ
"Bite my neck 'r pin me t' a wall."
33:Â What your favorite part of your body:
"My 'air. It's gotten damned difficult t' take care of, but th' tradeoff's pretty worth it."
34:Â Favorite foreplay activities:
"Touchin'. Just... touchin'. Runnin' my fingers real light an' soft across ev'ry...single...inch...of a playmate's body. Learnin' th' curves, th' blemishes, th' scars, th' ins, th' outs, th' sensitive spots, th' ticklish bits, th' fav'rites all by touch. I kin do tha' fer hours if they'll let me."
35:Â Love (>,<, or =) Sex For those of us who donât remember our math that's âgreater than, less than, or equal to]
"Does not equal. Th' two kin be completely unrelated t'one another an' tha's perfec'ly fine. They kin en'hance each other when they're both involved, but they aren't incomplete without one another at all."
36:Â What do you wear to bed?
"If I kin get away with it, nothin'. I run 'ot these days, it's real easy t' overheat if I wear stuff t' sleep.
37:Â When was the first time you masturbated:
"Gods, Iunno. Thirteen? Fifteen? Somewhere in there."
38:Â Do you have any nude/masturbating pictures/video of yourself?
"Not tha' I keep fer very long. I make 'em an' send 'em t' people tha' I made 'em for, then I get rid of 'em cuz I don't wanna watch m'self wankin' or whatever."
39:Â Have you ever/when was the last time you had sex outside?
"So many times, gods alive. Last time was a few days ago, if y' count th' back acres on our property as outside enough."
40:Â Have/would you ever have sex outside?
Leon just kinda snorted. (See previous answer!)
41:Â Have/would you ever had a threesome?
"Sev'ral times, an' I would 'appily do so again with th' right people. Fun, but occasionally tricky t' figger out."
42:Â What is one random object youâve used to masturbate?
"Most o' th' time I'm very borin' an' just stick t' my 'and an' maybe a dildo, but I got one o' those vibratin' sleeve thingers not too long ago tha' I've been meanin' t' try out..."
43:Â Have/would you ever masturbate at work/school?
"No, an' maybe. If I were still workin' in a kitchen where other people 'ad t' work an' there's food ev'rywhere, it'd be an absolutely not. I work in a private workshop by th' 'ouse now, so I kin get away with it more, long as 'm careful. Thus far I 'aven't been so tempted tha' I couldn't make it back in th' house first, though."
44:Â Have/would you ever have sex on a plane?
"Never been in one, be willin' t' try. I've 'eard 'ow tiny those bathrooms are."
45:Â What is one song youâd like to have sex to?
"...gonna 'ave t' ask me that'un again in a few months when I know more songs, sorry."
46:Â What is something nonsexual that makes you horny?
Answered here!
47:Â Most attractive celebrity?
"Do th' Tarts count as celebrities? I'm not even gonna try t' pick one, but tha's all I got."
48:Â Do you watch gay/lesbian porn? why/why not?
"Not a big porn-watcher in gen'ral, my life feels like a goddamned romance novel as it is. Not often I need more'n a couple o' particularly fond mem'ries."
49:Â If a child was born on the occasion of the last time you had sex, how old would that child be right now?
"Four days."
50:Â Has anyone ever posted nude pictures of you online?
(Hard to answer this one since the internet at large isn't really a thing in WoW, at least not in a widely-accepted enough way for me to answer it...)
51:Â What is one thing that NEVER makes you horny?
"Put-downs. Don't call me slut or boy or bitch--gods, especially not bitch--or th' like if y'want me t' go 'ome with y'."
52:Â Do you have stretch marks? (How do you feel about them? Has anyone ever had a problem with them?)
"Not tha' I've seen."
53:Â Do you like giving head? (why/why not)
"Like givin' it cuz it makes m' playmate feel real nice, don't like th' flavor s' much."
54:Â How do you feel about tattoos on someone you are interested in?
"Doesn't make a dif'rence t' me, aside from most tattoos bein' pretty."
55:Â How would you feel about taking someones virginity?
"Done it, though I'm not a fan o' th' phrasin'. They put some trust in me, I din't take anythin'."
56:Â Is there any food you would NOT recommend using during a sexual encounter?
"Nothin' spicy. Period. Just don't. It's not worth it."
57:Â Is there anything you do on Tumblr that you would not like your significant other to see?
(Another one that doesn't really have an answer in this context.)
58:Â Do you own any sex toys? (what is it? (how long have you had it?)
Leon burst out laughing and pointed at the full-size steamer trunk at the foot of his bed. "Tha's not even close t' all of it, either. Gods alive, wha' a question t' ask me!"
59:Â Would you give your significant other unrestricted access to your Tumblr for a day?
"Wouldn't give 'em unrestricted access t' anythin' private o' mine fer a day. If it's tha' private t' begin with, it's cuz it's my safe 'aven, an' they respect tha', same as I do their private stuff."
60:Â Would you be offended if your significant other suggested you get plastic surgery?
"A li'l bit if it came outta nowhere, but I've talked a fair bit about wishin' I could get rid o' some o' my scars. It's not somethin' I wouldn't consider tryin'."
61:Â Would you rather be a pornstar or a prostitute?
"Pretty 'appy doin' th' latter as it is. Don't think I'd wanna try th' recorded stuff, it seems like it'd be really awkward t' do tha' fer a cam'ra crew an' with somebody 'o ain't really enjoyin' it."
62:Â Do you watch porn?
"Not really. Most of it's not int'restin' t' me."
63:Â How small is too small?
"'Too small' is 'ard fer me t' quantify. I 'aven't found anythin' too small fer me t' work with some'ow."
64:Â Have you ever been called a freak? Why?
Bit of a flat look. "Worgen."
65:Â Who gave you your last kiss? Did it mean anything?
"Me an' th' guy 'o fucked me on th' fence out back shared quite a few kisses b'fore, durin', an' after. Mostly they meant 'fuck yer hot.'"
66:Â Would you switch phones with your significant other for a day?
"I mean, I could. Nothin' on there I wouldn't want any of 'em t' see. Be a bit inconvenient though."
67:Â Do you feel comfortable going âcommandoâ?
"Frankly I'm more comfortable tha' way than otherwise. Spent too long with a big ol' poof o' fur around m' crotch t' be comfy with most undies. Same reason I'm not overly fond o' shoes either."
68:Â Would you have a problem with going down on someone if they hadnât shaved their pubic hair?
"Purely in a logistical sense, yeah. I kin still go t' town an' do thin's right, but it's... sloppy. Those 'airs seem t' WANT t' get in yer mouth, an' all tha', an' it's just so much messier overall."
69:Â If you could give yourself head, would you?
"'O says I can't?"
70:Â Booty or Boobs?
"I am very much an ass man."
71:Â If you had a penis, what would you name it?
"I do, but I didn't. Namin' it seems strange."
72:Â Have you ever been on an official date?
"Sev'ral, but all of 'em only took place in th' last few years. Never when I was growin' up."
73:Â Have you ever cheated on someone? (Why?)
"No, an' I never will, an' you kin quote me on tha'."
74:Â If you were a stripper, what would your name be?
"I 'aven't th' faintest idea 'ow tha' works."
75:Â Have you ever had sex in your parents bed? (Would you?)
"Nope. Never 'ad th' opportunity, an' I think I'd rather throw up on th' floor an' eat it."
76:Â How would you react if you found out your parents had sex in your bed?
"Sweet, I'm gettin' a new bed!"
77:Â What was your reaction the first time you saw a penis/vagina
"Assumin' we're not talkin' about my own bits... 'That's not gonna fit!' fer a dick, an' 'This is a lot less sexy than th'other lads made it out t'be' fer a cooch."
78:Â If you had a penis/vagina for a day, what are five things you would do?
Answered here!
79: Oral, Anal, or Vaginal?Â
"Yes."
80: Whatâs the first thing you look at on someone of the opposite gender?
"Their face. Also 'ow they carry themselves. But mostly their face."

Turning Pages - Chapter 8
Intrulogical bookshop au! Read the whole thing on ao3 here.Â
Remus had really tried not to be stalker-y when he texted Virgil for Loganâs work hours that morning. He just wanted to surprise the cute boy who had been filling his thoughts up! And it had worked, because here Logan was letting him drag him out for dinner. Not only that...but Logan trusted him! It made his gay little heart sing.
âA diner?â Logan questioned as they sat down in a booth. The place was mostly deserted despite it being peak season on the boardwalk. Luckily their home town was just far enough from the water to not be a tourist trap.
âMy favorite diner. It...used to be better, but the owner died a while ago and his daughter didnât wanna inherit the place. But she did. At least she kept the staff because Ed in the back knows how to make a killer burger,â Remus explained with a grin. âYou wore your new tie today.â
âI did, and though it was mostly hidden behind the apron, it was a somewhat nice change to my usual rounds of blue ties,â Logan said, looking over the menu with slight distrust. âI saw you and Cthuwu had a wonderful day together. I liked the pictures you updated me with throughout the day.â
âIâm glad! I took him to meet Jan and Janâs snakes, and then him and I went on a ride and Iâm immensely happy he didnât fall off the back of the bike. Heâs in the saddle bag now, napping I imagine. Itâs been a long day for a little stuffed octopus.â
âYouâre quite good at giving personalities to inanimate objects,â Logan observed, deciding he was just going to get whatever Remus got since the other clearly knew the place better.
âYeah, itâs a skill of mine.â
âIs this akin to an average day of yours? Just...filling your time with whatever you want to do?â
âWell. yeah. Iâm not a college person, and Iâve hit a wall with the latest piece Iâve been working on. Apparently being an artist is just as bad as being a writer when it comes to creative blocksâŚâ
âYouâre an artist?â Logan asked with a small smile. âI should have known. You had paint smeared on your cheek when you came to Pattonâs book reading. I assumed you were just messy.â
âWell, I am messy, but absolutely, Loganberry. Iâll show you my stuff sometime. I can never pick a medium, so itâs pretty inconsistent.â
âSomehow that does fit in with your, ahâŚâvibeâ. Did I use that correctly?â
âSure did, babes,â Remus winked.
The waiter came over to take their orders and Remus put his in for a bacon cheeseburger and asked for a note to be put down for Ed in the back that it was him. Logan asked for the same thing, just with no tomatoes.
âYou got a tomato vendetta?â Remus asked with a chuckle.
âAwful texture. Slimy goo with little seeds inside...I cannot stand them,â Logan replied, scrunching his nose up.
âAw...youâre adorable, you know that?â Remus said, leaning forward on his hands.
âOh, wellâŚâ Loganâs cheeks started to turn pink. âI suppose if you find a hatred of Solanum lycopersicums adorable then, yes.â
âSolanum...I have no clue what you said, but I certainly liked the way you said it,â Remus grinned. âThough your hatred of tomatoes isnât the sexiest thing about you, it certainly makes the list.â
âWell, now youâre just flirting.â
âYes,â Remus laughed. âHave been for a while, but thank you for finally noticing, Specs.â
âOh, apologies. Iâm not the best at picking up on such things.â âI noticedâ Remus smiled. âBut itâs okay. According to many people, I never know when to shut the fuck up or tone it down, so we both suck.â
âYouâve been quite good thus far, I hadnât noticed. Well, except when you screamed in the bookshop. That was rather crass.â
âThat bookshop,â Remus smiled fondly. âDo you wanna tell me whatâs up with you and that bookshop? I can tell you really love that place. There has to be a story there, right?â
âA story? Hardly. I simply did not connect with my peers as a child, and as a result I spent most of my time in Mr. Sandersâ shop and then started working there when I was of age,â Logan shrugged. âI find the shop comforting, and I am in charge when Mr. Sanders goes away, which is quite often actually. But I donât mind. The bookshop makes me happy.â
âThatâs totally a story, babes,â Remus chuckled, nodding a thanks as their food was brought out. Nothing special, exactly what you would expect from a run down diner, though a bottle of hot sauce was placed on the table right after which he happily grabbed. âAnd itâs cute. Itâs nice that you have something like that.â
âDo you have a metaphorical - or physical - bookshop?â Logan asked, taking the ketchup bottle from the end of the table. Seems his hatred of tomatoes only applied to solid ones.
âDo I have a thing that makes me happy?â Remus asked. âI dunno. Lots of stuff. I like riding my motorcycle and watching horror movies...and visiting Duke at the aquarium. Painting, Halloween, going to the Renaissance fair with Ro...all those are things that make me happy.â
âThose are valid, but I meant in a larger sense,â Logan said. âFor example, at the bookshop I feel as if I have a purpose which is psychologically very important for humans. I suppose Iâm asking if you feel as though you have something that gives you that.â
âPretty deep for second date conversation,â Remus said, smile faltering for a moment as he looked down at his food.
âApologies, I did not-â
âNo, no. Itâs all good,â he assured. âIâm not one to really keep secrets or anything. I just...donât. Have a purpose that is. Iâm workinâ on finding it, but nothing ever really seems to fit right. Yâknow? And, hey, Iâm a lucky enough person to be able to try stuff out until I find a fit. Not everyone has that luxury.â
Logan nodded, giving Remus a slight smile. âThatâs okay, Iâm certain youâll find your metaphorical bookshop one day.â
âThanks, Lo,â Remus replied, expression softening at the other for a moment before he took a deep breath. âOkay! Okay, pro tip here...douse everything in hot sauce. Youâll thank me.â
Logan did not douse everything in hot sauce, he claimed he wasnât a fan of spicy foods. Remus was, though, and did just what he had suggested. They talked more about what they each did in their free time, and Remus really found he liked spending time with Logan. He was cute, sure...but he was adorable on the inside too. Remus was definitely developing more than a crush on Mr. Berry. When the time came to pay he covered the check without a second thought.
âWe could have split it,â Logan said after he had paid.
âWhy? This is a date. I wanted to pay,â Remus shrugged, looking outside. It was sunset. âWanna go for a beach walk? You said you could tolerate sand.â
âI did say that, didnât I?â Logan said, looking out to the beach. âVery well. We can go for a walk.â
Remus grinned, standing up the second his card was handed back and taking Loganâs hand which he noticed got another pink cheeked reaction from the nerd. They headed down to the beach, walking along the edge of the water, far enough away that nobodyâs shoes would get wet. The summer nights were quite chilly on the shore, so the beach wasnât terribly full. Remus only let go of Loganâs hand to go chase some seagulls, regretting the choice when the seagulls chased him back. Birds had been doing that a lot to him lately, there must be an anti-Remus bird conspiracy going. That was what he explained to Logan as he grabbed the otherâs hand and fled from the birds. Their walk ended as the sun was gone from below the horizon with them both slightly out of breath and back at Remusâ motorcycle.
âIn my defense...they usually donât chase back,â he explained.
âIt would seem this time they did,â Logan replied, brushing a hand through his hair to keep it neat. âBut...that was certainly exhilarating in itâs own way. I canât say Iâve ever run from seagulls before.â
âFirst time for everything,â Remus laughed, meeting Loganâs eye.
And, shit. He wanted to kiss Logan. He really wanted to kiss Logan. It would be so easy, just lean forward and smooch...but it was their second date and what if Logan didnât want to kiss him.
âRemus, are you alright?â Logan asked, raising an eyebrow.
âOh, yeah. Totally, Specs,â Remus said, pulling himself out of that moment. âCâmon, let's get you home.â
âYes, home seems good. I forget the sun goes down quite late sometimes,â Logan said, taking his borrowed helmet when it was offered to him. âIâm actually starting to somewhat enjoy riding the motorcycle with you.â
âWell, good! I like riding with you too, mon amour.â
Remus shoved his own helmet onto his head, getting on the bike and starting it as Logan climbed onto the back. He smiled when he felt the otherâs arms secure around his waist and headed off. He parked outside of Loganâs building, getting off after Lo to say a proper goodbye.
âI will see you next time I see you,â Remus said, taking Loganâs helmet back with a smile. âI had fun on our spontaneous little date.â
Logan seemed to ponder for a moment before taking a deep breath and speaking, âWould you like to come up for some tea? I usually have a cup to relax around this time anyway...and I have lots of teaâŚâ
âHeh, sure, Loganberry. Iâll come up for some tea,â Remus smiled, taking Loganâs hand again and following him inside.

Starlight Celebration 2020 - Letters
Baenfaeld: Thank you for your invaluable aid, friend! The Starlight festivities never could have happened without you. And my colleagues and I are far from the only ones who appreciate your efforts. Letters have arrived from across the realm to thank you for your generosity. Just see for yourself!
((13 transcriptions below the cut! All expac MSQs, 1 Custom Delivery client, and 3 of the 8man raids are referenced below))
Letter from Maelstrom Command: This got me to wondering: might it not be said that the smiles you have put on the faces of the children this season serve a similar role, as they brighten the hearts of Eorzeans the realm over and raise their spirits in these times of uncertainty? I, for one, believe soâand for all you have done to that end, you have my thanks.
You open the envelope and extract the âletterâ inside, which oddly consists of only a smattering of chocobo footprints and a small, X-shaped stamp.Looking more closely, you spot a hastily scribbled message hidden in the margins. Anonymous Message: Aeryn! How goes it? I went to pick up some supplies, and you'll never guess who I ran into! Well, on second thought, I guess you will. Good to see that the little fellow's enjoying Starlight in his own way, eh? Till next time! Letter from the Lotus Stand: How fare you in the preparations for the festivities, my good friend? Firstly, on behalf of all Gridanians, let me express my most heartfelt gratitude for your most selfless acts this special season. Letter from the Lotus Stand: I have given much thought to the matter of what my fellow Seedseers and I might do to bring even more joy to the children, and I do believe I have come upon just the idea. You are familiar with the tradition by which children write letters to the Spinner containing their most heartfelt wishes to place under the Starlight Tree, yes? Letter from the Lotus Stand: I have determined that we will attempt to grant as many of them as is within our powerâand have recruited a number of like-minded souls to aid in the cause. In doing so, I hope that we will inspire that many more smiling faces here in Gridania this Starlight seasonâand that the elementals will smile upon our efforts as well. You open the envelope, but it is empty. The very next moment, you feel a tingle in the air. The faint smell of wildflowers wafts in on the air, and a voice echoes in your head as if from far away... Ephemeral Voice: I take one little peek, and what do I see but my sapling having a grand old time prancing and frolicking about in the snow! Did it not occur to you that mayhap your [beautiful branch] would have liked to join you for this merry occasion, hmm!? Ephemeral Voice: No, this simply will not do. And so to teach my thoughtless sapling a lesson, I've imbued this little missive with an incantation. Yes, the moment you so much as think of enjoying the Starlight festivities with someone who is not your [beautiful branch]... Ephemeral Voice: Oh, but I jest! Were you taking me seriously? Why, nothing gives me greater joy than to see you actually enjoying yourself for once! I always thought you could stand to learn a thing from us fae folkâand why, yes, it seems like you have! Till we meet again, my [adorable sapling]. Letter from the Fragrant Chamber: On behalf of all the Sultanate, I commend you on your efforts in saving this year's Starlight Celebration from an uncertain fate. Some would say that snowmen feel out of place here in the jewel of the desert, but I have naught but fond memories of being a young girl, spending sleepless nights in anticipation of what the saint would bring me. Letter from the Fragrant Chamber: There are those who would proclaim that it is base and shameful to engage in revelry at a time when our realm faces such continued hardship. Yet I could not disagree more. Letter from the Fragrant Chamber: If we have any hope of leading Eorzea to a brighter future, then it begins with ensuring that every young boy and girl out there looks toward tomorrow with a smile on their face and the confidence that happier days are to come. For all you have doneâand continue to doâtoward this end, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Letter from a Distant World: How do you fare, friend? Feo Ul tells me there is a festival known as âStarlightâ in your world that you celebrate this time of year. Why, just hearing stories of entire cities bedecked in ornaments that twinkle and glimmer like the night skyâI would give anything to see it with my own eyes! Letter from a Distant World: As for us, we too are making preparations for a festival of our ownâone to celebrate the return of the night and the rebuilding of our realm. I've tasked Gaia with procuring suppliesâshe turned up her nose at performing any manual laborâand she seems to be rather enjoying herself zipping about hither and yon on her skyslipper. Letter from a Distant World: There is much still to be done, but if we can put smiles on the faces of the little ones here as you have done in your world, it will have more than been worth it. Till we meet again, Aeryn. Letter from Menphina's Arms: The Starlight Celebration! Why, is there any better time of year? Not for the children here at the Arms, that's for certain! Why, even now they toss and turn in their beds, in hope that the saint will show up at any moment! Letter from Menphina's Arms: Adkiragh whipped up a batch of ore fruitcakes to celebrate the season, and guess what he did for Zhloe? He put in pineapple as a special treat! Why, it was so scrumptious that the kids and I gobbled it all up straightaway!
Letter from Menphina's Arms: Have you ever had fruitcake? If not, you simply must try it! Rowena tells me she's selling it forâand I quoteâthe âalmost insultingly lowâ price of only 300 scrips. Feel free to buy a whole batchâit keeps better than pineapple pudding, so you can carry it around for weeks before it goes stale. Speaking of which, I probably should clean out the kitchen...
