When you expressed your desire to leave the Moby Dick, this was not what you meant damnit.
You ripped off a piece of bread and ate it, trying to ignore the rattle of the chain connected to the bracelet on your wrist. Both were thick and not quite light. The links dragging on the ground in your seated position and leading all the way to Teach’s bracelet. Hilariously, it’s only by being kidnapped a second time that your kidnapper so openly acknowledges that you don’t want to be there. And not pretending like any day now you’d ‘see the light’.
It felt less confusing and ambiguous this way, but that didn’t mean you liked it.
At least you weren’t tied up the whole time, but nearly the whole point of your kidnapping was to use your devil fruit to boost his. And how could he guarantee that if you weren’t literally chained to his side at all times? On his end of the chain was a bolt that could unhook from it, meaning that you both could separate if need be—thankfully. You had no desire to literally be joined with anyone 24/7.
Teach laughed boisterously, taking a heavy chug of his booze as a few opportunistic women smoozed up to him. One less interested in whatever she thought Teach could offer her was on your side, quietly enjoying her own drink as she leaned against you. Maybe she felt bad for you? You weren’t entirely sure. She was dressed provocatively in a slim black dress, orange hair in a bob around her jawline. If she was here to flirt, she had a weird way of going about it. At this point, you assumed she wanted a break from batting her eyes at drunk pirates.
She was weird. This whole situation was weird. You miss when the weirdest part of your day was pretending a Yonko wasn’t trying to engage in a conversation with you.
Really, the whole affair was strange and more than a little awkward. Especially given what you now know Teach is capable of. It seemed at odds with his rather charismatic and bubbly personality. Though there was an edge to it now that bordered on new-found confidence and sadism. He wouldn’t strictly aim to hurt you. But if it was faster or guaranteed to work, he’d do it with no problem. He had no interest in winning you over, as evidenced by the literal chain, but aside from the occasional taunt he wasn’t cruel.
You supposed it all made more sense given that he sailed with Whitebeard for many years. You can’t exactly fit in with a crew like that if you weren’t adaptable. But fuck did you have difficulty comprehending Teach’s betrayal. Sure, other pirate crews experienced betrayal every now and then. It was a rather cutthroat life at sea among criminals.
But for one of Whitebeard’s sons to murder another?!
Shit.
You’d be surprised if the news didn’t rattle the marines once it properly got out. That’d be like one of Big Mom’s kids cutting her throat while she slept. Sure, it’s not impossible but… fuck. You knew for a fact that the marines had been trying to subvert Whitebeard’s crew for decades. Double agents either turned up dead, missing, or converted in startlingly short order. And to think they had a snake in the grass without any interference.
Just the prize of a weird devil fruit. Which he’d eaten by now and you’re happy to note that the creepy vibes were cut down significantly once it was claimed.
It still made it hard to sleep well, though. Particularly given how reluctant Teach was to let you out of his sight. It didn’t help that he literally never slept, so when you dozed off he’d just carry you around until you woke up. And his boisterous attitude meant you’d gained a few bruises here and there by sheer accident. You weren’t the shortest marine to enlist by far but Teach was a big man. The chain and his expressive body language meant that sometimes he yanked you one way or the other or tripped you. He’d apologize and mind his arm for a bit but he’d forget after a while, starting the cycle anew.
You suspected he was looking into something a little less cumbersome for himself. Though he reassured you that a slave collar was out of the question. You were supposed to be right next to him at all times, after all. And if the collar went off? Well, Teach didn’t want to get blasted. No mention about how it would kill you, but the inconvenience of it was implied. How reassuring. Under different circumstances he’d probably just blackmail you, but there really wasn’t anything he could hold over you.
Overall though? This was more uncomfortable than with Whitebeard but made a lot more sense.
“Do you want free?” The woman leaned in close and whispered. You gave her a look, lightly shaking your bruised wrist. The iron bracelet hanging off your wrist with your old marine handkerchief helping reduce the damage.
“You think this is a fashion statement?” You whispered back, eating more bread while ignoring the glance Teach gave you before returning his attention to the other ladies. You conversation partner pouted.
“My associate will be here in the morning. He could free you.” You gave her a slow look. “He’s good at breaking shackles.”
You sighed, the pieces falling into place as you noted the various eyes on the two of you.
“We’ll be gone by then. Teach isn’t keen on his ‘brothers’ catching up. I’m not convinced they’re actually chasing us but still… you don’t need to risk your operation here for me. I’ll be fine.” You wrinkled your nose, a bit bitter that your best option at leaving was still out of reach. “Is there anything else you need?”
Revolutionaries. Now, officially, you have a firm stance against all criminal activities. Just like with pirates, you don’t like revolutionaries. You will arrest them if need be but… if you happen to be busy with something else, and the worst they’re up to is freeing slaves? Well, you can’t be everywhere. And, frankly, the fact that you ultimately answer to Celestial Dragons is more than a little embarrassing. You’d seen one. Didn’t have any real interaction, thankfully. But watching the crude, arrogant fuck parade around like he didn’t look like an idiot was just…
You huffed.
“Why does a Whitebeard Pirate have a slave?” She whispered. You gave her a small smile.
“Technically, I’m just a prisoner. My devil fruit boosts others and he murdered a commander for his. I guess he feels more confident knowing his new power is even stronger if he runs into his old crew.” You informed her softly. Her eyes widened in shock. “It only works in proximity though so… hence, the chain.” You took a drink of your tea.
“Where is he headed?” You shrugged apologetically.
“Don’t know. He’s mentioned a plan to become a warlord. How he’d justify keeping a marine prisoner with that position, I’m not sure. Yeah… M—The Phoenix grabbed me from my original base. And now I’m here. Embarrassing, I know.” You grumbled as she tried to control her shock. “I think he said something about capturing a big shot pirate for it, though. That’s all I know, unfortunately. I’m not exactly his confidant.”
She nodded.
“Thank you. If we can, we’ll get you free. You’ll owe us though.” You snorted.
“I’m not sure I’ll be a marine after this. Too much of a risk. Not much I’ll be able to help with if you want an inside man. But thanks. The sentiment is appreciated. Good luck, revolutionary.” You sighed as she slipped away.
Teach laughed, glancing down at you again but not saying anything more. If he knew what was up, he didn’t care much. He knew you were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Not only do you have the literal chain to worry about, but also himself. And you’d need more than gumption to take him down, even without a devil fruit.

Ace scowled at the heart monitor. Thatch laying motionless on the bed aside from slow, even breaths. He barely made it out of surgery, requiring all of Marco’s attention to not die. And even then he flatlined twice.
And like it wasn’t bad enough, that fucking bastard took you too!
And the devil fruit Thatch found but that was besides the point.
Maybe, if Marco wasn’t needed, he could have chased after Teach and caught him. But by the time the strenuous surgery was over with, you and Teach were long gone.
The idea was briefly floated that the two of you worked together to murder Thatch and escape. But Ace knew that wasn’t possible. You weren’t like that at all, even with your mostly playful dislike of Thatch, you wouldn’t murder him. You were, frankly, too passive for outright murder. And escaping like that was too risky for someone so cautious. You were honest, though quiet about your opinions. Sweet despite your obvious discomfort in a way Ace found endearing, though a little baffling. Not once acting aggressively towards anyone on board aside from playful jabs. If you’d been capable of murder it would have shown before now. Well before now.
Marco knew you a little better and agreed with Ace. You weren’t a killer. Your preferred fighting style was defensive and playful, aware of your weaknesses. If you had worked with Teach to escape, Thatch would have just been knocked out or locked in the room instead. It would be smarter, after all. Leaving would already piss them off. No need to add actual murder to the mix.
And the idea that you could sway Teach to betray them was ridiculous. Somehow more ridiculous than their brother of many years up and murdering a commander. Not nearly enough time on board, let alone in Teach’s presence to accomplish that. You also had no reason to ensure Teach would receive a devil fruit you’d just learned of and clearly disliked. To the point that you didn’t even argue when Oyaji called you ‘child’ when you sensed it originally. Even looking to him for comfort briefly.
Escaping them? Sure, as much as Ace hated to admit it, you hadn’t quite warmed up to them all just yet. You were getting close though!
If… if you did work with Teach for this…
Marco had divulged a plan to Ace some time ago. If you started lashing out and acted up. Specially brewed tea for a few weeks and isolation. Not quite Ace’s first thought but he knew what kind of headspace that would put you in. Hell, Luffy being threatened with being completely alone was enough to withstand torture as a child. And even Ace himself could admit that the isolation he experienced, in many forms, fucked with him. Hard.
So.
If you were partially responsible for this, Ace would simply follow through with the plan. Even if it was a bit cruel.
If you weren’t? If you’d been taken from your new (reluctant) home? Teach has a whole new crime to answer for. Though… maybe being grounded for a while would help you settle down finally. They’d had enough friction in the family for a while.
Teach was getting a personal punishment from Oyaji regardless of your involvement for nearly murdering Thatch. Nothing, absolutely nothing, should have made him turn traitor like that. Ace admitted he was fond of you but, to put it lightly, it wasn’t enough to kill his family for. You were family. Anything else can be worked on. Not that he has a lot of room to talk about attempted murder on family members, really, but that was different! He started with the murder attempts!
“…We’ll get them back, Thatch. I promise.” Ace stood up and stormed out the room. Ready to tell Oyaji he was leaving to get revenge. Marco walked out from the shadows of the hospital room, keeping pace with him. His expression grim as he smiled at Ace.
“Ready to go hunting?” Marco asked, eyes glowing despite the well-lit hallway.
Ace grinned.
“Yeah. I am.”
It had only been a day since you went missing. And the clock started ticking. For you and Teach.
They’d be there soon.

Akainu burned the wooden desk beneath his hands, scowling down at the picture a spy had taken.
You were off the Moby Dick finally. Away from those filthy pirates. But he wasn’t happy about it.
You looked worn down from your time being held captive. Glasses cracked and dark circles under your eyes. A chain tying you to the bastard next to you, keeping you close.
A hiss left his clenched teeth. He’d heard word of what happened. How you ‘left’ the Whitebeard Pirates.
And he didn’t think it was possible to hate pirates more. But Marshal D. Teach accomplished just that, earning a special place in Akainu’s heart.
To be a criminal, a fucking pirate, was a crime worthy of death. But to be a traitor to the crew he’d sworn allegiance to on top of that? Thinking he deserved to have you by his side like you should be by Akainu?
Irredeemable scum he’d soon immolate off the map so thoroughly there’d be nothing left but an echo of ‘Blackbeard’s’ screams.

Silent Treatment
Sabo
Oh sweet sweet Sabo. He didn’t even realize his offhanded joke in the meeting had offended you. He didn’t think about how you and Koala were the only ones not laughing about the jokes the officers said. He didn’t notice how you and Koala immediately left the room fuming as soon as you could.
He had to run to catch up with you after the meeting, and you showed no sign of slowing your pace.
“Hey!” he called out, trying to get to you. “I’m gonna go out with the guys for a bit, I’ll catch up with you soon?”
“Do whatever you want,” you shot back. “The men know best after all, right?”
He must not have heard the sarcasm and anger laced in your voice, because he just gave you a wink and a peck on the cheek and ran off with some of the other leaders.
Koala gave you a side smirk. “They’re clueless, I swear,” she laughed.
“We never get the credit,” you grumbled. “I can’t do it anymore, Koala! I’m so fed up with this!”
“Have you talked to him about it?”
“So many times!” you cried. “We’re treated the same professionally but socially-”
“It’s a commanders club,” she finished for you. “Maybe we should make a separate club?”
“Rule One: No talking to them until they apologize.”
Sabo was surprised to find that you weren’t waiting for him in bed when he got home. You weren’t in the spare room, either.
He finally found a note on the kitchen that was short and to the point. “Sleeping at Koala’s.”
Confusing, but he was slightly drunk, so he opted to go to bed and figure it out in the morning.
When morning came, he was disappointed to find that the coffee hadn't started. He went to grab his overnight oats from the fridge, but you hadn’t made that for him either, which was strange. Usually when you stayed at Koala’s, you prepped all that stuff ahead of time. But last night you hadn’t. He’d have to ask you about that before the meeting this morning.
He arrived late to the meeting since the coffee took longer than he thought it would and he had to make breakfast. You were already sitting when he got there, you and Koala talking to each other quietly. Normally you saved a se at for him, but today all of the seats had been filled, and he was left with one at the end of the table.
He kept trying to catch your eye, but you refused to look at him. He finally caught Koala’s at one point, and mouthed “What’s wrong?” but she simply rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to Dragon.
If Koala was mad at him, that meant you were mad at him. He racked his brain the entire meeting, trying to think of what he would’ve done to make you upset. But he couldn’t think of anything.
He tried to catch you after the meeting, but you and Koala made a beeline for the door and ignored his calls after you.
“Just let them go, dude,” Jiron said to him. “Those two never want to hang out with us anyway.”
Shit. It all clicked together. The jokes made in the meeting yesterday, him going out with the boys without asking if you and Koala had wanted to come.
“Maybe if you treated them with a little respect, Jiron, they would.” Sabo’s words came out in a low, threatening hiss.
“Look, I know you’re close with them,” Jiron said. “But they’re not very nice to us either. They’re kind of…”
“Kind of what?” Sabo edged, his blood starting to boil.
“Well…bitchy.”
Sabo wasn’t really sure what happened next. He didn’t remember doing anything, but the next moment, Jiron was on the ground holding his nose. Blood was leaking out through his fingers onto the ground.
“Don’t use that word to describe either of them ever again. Got it?” Sabo growled the words, looking around the room.
“What the FUCK, Sabo?” Jiron cried, but Sabo was already pacing toward the door, desperate to get to you as soon as possible.
He caught up with you and Koala quickly and jumped between the two of you, wrapping his arms around your alls shoulders. You tensed at his touch, but once you realized it was him, you just scoffed and shrugged him off.
“Go away, Sabo,” Koala sneered as she shoved him away.
“I’m sorry!” Sabo jumped in front of you all, trying to block your path. “Please, I’m sorry I laughed at those jokes yesterday and even made one myself. That was really shitty of me.”
“Sabo,” you sighed, shaking your head.
He fell to his knees and looked up at you, begging. “And please teach me how to use the coffee machine! And make overnight oats! I’ll make it from now on. I’m starving and I’m sorry.”
His apology made you giggle, and you took his hands and helped him to his feet. Once he was standing, you laced your fingers through his. “You’ll really make the oats?”
“If you want me to.”
“Deal.” You smiled, and gave him a soft kiss to seal his promise. “Can’t go back on it now.”
“And how are you going to make it up to me?” Koala pouted.
“Oh,” Sabo suddenly got very bashful. “I punched Jiron, I think.”
“You WHAT?!”
Law
You bounded into Law’s office, excited to tell him the news. “Law! Shachi just caught-”
“Hang on,” Law mumbled, flicking through his book. He was always looking for something. You were always interrupting him.
After a few minutes, he looked up at you. “Okay, go ahead.”
“Shachi just caught an electric eel! A massive one!”
The moments the words left your mouth, Law was back to looking back at his book. “Interesting. Is that all?”
“Well, I just thought-”
“Hang on,” he mumbled again, already lost on another tangent in his head.
“Don’t worry about it.” You left the room before he had a chance to respond, though you doubt he even noticed your absence.
He got like this sometimes, and you tried not to get hurt by his sudden coldness. It’s just what happened when you were with the Surgeon of Death. A few hours later you had all but forgotten the encounter. There was an island coming up, and you ran to alert him.
“Law!” You slammed his door open, ecstatic. “Law! Guess-”
“Do you mind?!” His loud and hostile voice made you take a step back. “I’m trying to do something and you keep interrupting me!”
You pushed down the lump that was in your throat, but you could feel your lip trembling, threatening to give you away. You couldn’t look weak in front of him.
“Sorry,” you whispered, rushing out of the room.
Shachi found you first, furiously wiping the tears from your face. “I told you, you’re too good for him! Maybe you should give him a taste of what it’s like to lose you.”
“Like how?”
A devious grin grew on Shachi’s face. “Silent treatment.”
“Hey captain.” Bepo peeked in the door nervously, knowing there was tension about to be caused. “We’re heading off to the island.”
Law looked up from his book, confused. “Island?” You always told him when you were about to approach an island.
“We docked about a half hour ago,” Shachi chimed in from the hallway.
Law could hear something in his voice. “Where’s Y/N? Are they going?”
“They're going,” Shachi said, grabbing the door handle.
“Well, can you-” Law’s words were cut off by Shachi slamming the door shut.
That was Law’s first indication of something stirring. Shachi always took your side during squabbles, and he seemed livid today.
Law meant to go talk to you. He wasn’t sure what he needed to apologize for, but he knew it was something. But then he found an interesting article about poisons, and he got sucked into reading. Before he knew it, the sun had set and he had to turn on a lamp to keep reading.
Shachi, on the other hand, kept your mind busy. He took you out on the town, dragging you into every clothing shop and making you try anything on that even might look good on you. He pulled you into dessert shops and trinket stores and forced you to go on a beach walk with him. He was your best friend for a reason.
“What if he doesn’t apologize?” you asked him, watching the sun sink. “Then you don’t talk to him, no matter what,” Shachi responded.
Law was still shut away in his office when you returned, and your heart felt a soft ache. He hadn’t even noticed your absence.
“Come on,” Shachi said gently. “You can sleep in our room.”
“I should go talk to-”
“No,” Shachi said firmly. “He always does this. He needs to learn his lesson.” So you slept in the crew bunkhouse for the first time in months. Nobody asked questions, everyone just accepted it. You suspected Shachi had filled them in.
It took Law a few minutes to realize what was wrong. He had come into his room silently and brushed his teeth in the dark before bed like always. It was quieter than usual. And when he went to lay down, the bed was still made. As he pulled the covers back, he couldn’t help but notice how unnatural it felt. But he couldn’t place why.
It was too cold, he realized. And he quickly flicked on a light in the room to find it empty. Thoughts raced through his mind. Where were you? Had you gone missing? Had the Navy or someone else captured you to turn you in for a bounty?
He quickly walked to the shared common room, where he found Penguin and Ikkaku sitting. “Did you go to the island?” he asked, scanning the room. It was too late for you to be up, but he had to double check.
They both nodded, and Law tried not to panic. “Did Y/N come back?”
“Yeah,” Penguin affirmed. “We had dinner with them and Shachi, and we all walked back together.” He gave Ikakku a nervous glance before continuing. “I think they’re sleeping in the shared bunkhouse.”
“What?” Law hissed. “Why?” But Ikkaku and Penguin both shrugged, and Law turned and stormed out the door, making a beeline for the bunkhouse.
He flung the door open, searching for you. He quickly found you in the bunk below Shachi, and he walked over to where you were sleeping.
“What are you doing?” Law said, shaking you lightly. “Come to bed.”
You groaned in your sleep and pushed him away. You never slept well in the bunkhouse. You were a light sleeper, any type of noise made you wake up.
“Y/N,” Law said, shaking you harder. “Let’s go.”
“Law?” Your eyes finally opened, your voice full of exhaustion and sleep. Once you realized it was him, you slapped a hand over your mouth. Silent Treatment.
Law could see the hurt and anger in your eyes when you recognized him, and his heart constricted when you turned away from him.
“Can we talk about what’s going on? Please?” he begged. He was trying not to disturb others, but you could hear them beginning to stir.
You almost caved, but Shachi came to your rescue. He hopped down from his bed and put himself between you and Law. “You can talk in the morning,” Shachi said. “Y/N wants to be here, so let them sleep here.”
Law tried to look past Shachi to you. “I know you can’t stand sleeping here. Just come to bed. Please.”
“Captain.” Shachi’s voice was on the verge of dangerous defiance. “Leave.”
Law stared at him, not sure what to make of Shachi’s protectiveness over you. His gaze was almost challenging, but Shachi refused to back down. He could hear the others in the room starting to stir, and he knew he was only embarrassing you, so he conceded. “I’m coming back first thing.”
“That’s fine,” Shachi said. “If Y/N wants to talk then, you’re welcome to have a conversation.”
Law slept horribly that night. His fingers kept reaching out for you. The bed felt too big, the covers weren’t warm enough. He finally got up and started reading. He was too anxious to sleep.
So were you. You were tossing and turning every 20 minutes, trying to get comfortable. You couldn’t sleep without Law’s heartbeat thrumming in your ears. But Shachi made you promise to never admit it.
Law was sitting in the hallway outside the door when you went to get breakfast. You almost tripped over him, and when he saw you, he immediately stood to his feet. His tired gold eyes pierced into your soul, and you could see he was in rough shape. “Can we talk now?” He tried to keep the desperation out of his voice, but you could hear it loud and clear.
You gave a panicked look to Shachi, but he only gave you a smile and a small nod, encouraging you on.
You gave Law a nod in agreement. You still weren’t ready to talk to him, but you could listen.
“I did something yesterday,” Law said, closing the door to his office as you walked in. “I snapped at you when you were excited about something. I prioritized my studies over you and I’m sorry.”
You watched him closely, making sure his words were genuine. Law had a tendency to apologize when he knew you wanted to hear it, not when he actually felt bad about it.
“I’ve been doing that a lot lately,” he continued. “I tend to get obsessed with my work, and my relationships hurt because of it. And I know it’s not fair to ask you, but I need you to tell me when I’m hurting you. Because I don’t want to hurt you. That’s the last thing I want. So please…tell me. Yell at me. Smack me. Just don’t…don’t disappear on me. Please.”
Your heart melted at his words. You walked over to him and wrapped your arms around his neck. “And you won’t get mad?”
“I promise I won’t.”
You gave him a mischievous grin. “Even if I smack you really hard?”
“I feel like I’m going to regret saying that,” he groaned.
You giggled and gave him a soft kiss. “Too late, Captain.” You rested your head on his shoulder, his familiar scent making your eyes start to droop. “Can we go back to bed now?”
“Bed would be nice,” he mumbled into your hair, already pulling you toward his private room.
Ace
Fifteen people in the bar, and your boyfriend had flirted with every single one.
Friendly. That’s what he always called it. He was just being friendly. But you saw the way those commoners looked at him, the lust in their eyes. Getting with a pirate would be thrilling, they’d whisper when his back was turned. He never seemed to hear them talk about him, but he’d always be around them. Convenient.
“You shouldn’t be bothered,” he’d always say. “You know that I’ll always choose you.”
But you were bothered. You hated the pit of jealousy that formed in your gut every time a new person walked up to him. They were always so touchy, rubbing their hands along his shoulders, and the daring ones would even venture down his chest. Like he was their plaything. But he didn’t belong to them.
He was yours. Just not in this bar. Or any bar.
Maybe it was time to give him a taste of his own medicine. You were certain he wouldn’t be able to stand the thought of you flirting with another man.
Your eyes met an attractive man across the bar, and you decided it would be a good theory to test.
Seeing what you were about to do, Marco grabbed your wrist, pulling you back down into the seat. “Wait,” he muttered.
“Stay out of it, Marco,” you hummed softly. Your voice was pleasant, but there was a threatening undertone to it.
“If you want to make him jealous that will end in a fight and change nothing except the intensity of your makeup sex, go for it.”
Your cheeks brightened at his words, and you finally broke your eye contact with the random man to look at the commander. “Marco-!”
“But if you want to make him panic and stay by your side from now on, listen.” Marco’s voice got low. “Ace looks over here at least once every five minutes. He’s checking on you. I’m guessing jealous sex is his-“
“MARCO!”
“Anyway, I guarantee if you vanish, it’ll make him sweat. Just go back to the Moby Dick, and crash in my room for the night if you want. Give him a bit of the silent treatment. Don’t lean into what he wants. Push away, and I know he’ll stop.”
“How?”
“Because he’s head over heels for you, dummy. Even right now, all he wants is your attention. Don’t give it to him and you’ll cut the bad habits.”
It was worth a shot, and you wouldn’t have to talk to any sleazy guys to test the theory.
“You’re the best, Marco.” You flashed him a grin and stood, giving Ace one last glance. “But never talk about my sex life again.”
“Oh please,” Marco scoffed. “You have no idea what the commanders talk about during shower time, do you?”
Your eyes widened in horror, but Marco just laughed. “Relax! It was a joke!”
“It better be!” you hissed. “Or I’ll skin that boy alive.”
You gave one more glance to Ace. He was caught up in some conversation with a woman, giving her most of his attention. You rolled your eyes, jealousy panging in your chest, and slipped out the door.
The first two times Ace glanced over at your table, he wasn’t worried about your absence. But the third time, he started to get a bad feeling. You had been gone for too long.
He wandered back to the table, trying to appear casual and unbothered. “Hey Marco,” he said, bringing him another beer. “Where’s Y/N?”
Marco knew he was using the beer as a bribe, but took it anyway. “Not sure, they walked out about thirty minutes ago. Hasn’t been back since.”
“What?” Ace could feel himself sobering up, worried about your safety. “Where’d they go?”
“They seemed tired,” Marco said, watching Ace carefully.
“But they always tell me when they’re going home,” Ace grumbled, looking around. “I’m gonna head back too. Kind of over this whole scene.”
Marco chuckled, reading through Ace’s words, but he didn’t say anything further. He watched Ace walk out the door and back to the ship without so much as a goodbye to anyone in the bar, and he knew his plan would work.
Ace tried not to panic when you weren’t in his room. Sometimes you slept in other places, like the common room or the bunkhouse. Especially on drunken nights, you always seemed to find some random place to pass out. But you always told him when you were going to bed.
He didn’t sleep well. He wandered around the ship several times, trying to appear unbothered. But he was searching every nook and cranny, desperately looking for where you had landed yourself.
He didn’t see you again until the next morning, sitting at the breakfast table with Marco and a few others. You were completely surrounded by people, but Ace stopped by your seat on the way to the breakfast line.
“Hey.” He touched your shoulder and you stiffened at the contact, which was odd. Normally you leaned into his touch. You always looked up at him full of love, silently begging him for a morning kiss. But this morning you didn’t even bother to look his way. “Where’d you end up last night?” he asked.
“My room,” Marco answered for you, laughing. “That sure was a shock to walk into!”
You laughed, shoving Marco slightly. You still refused to acknowledge Ace, though it was starting to get difficult. “Hey Thornton, you left shortly before me. Where did you end up?”
“I swear I could’ve made it back to my room if I wanted to!” he bellowed, and everyone laughed.
“Right!” you laughed. “I bet the deck all night sure was cozy!”
You were ignoring him. Ace was sure of it. Had something happened between you and Marco…no. The two of you had only ever been friends, so close you might as well have been siblings.
He finally left you alone, his brain in overdrive trying to figure out what had made you so upset since the last time he spoke to you.
“You flirt too much,” Marco said, joining him in line.
Ace looked back at him, confused. “What?”
“You’re wondering why Y/N is ignoring you, right?” Ace shrugged, trying not to show that it was bothering him too much, but Marco clicked his tongue in disapproval. “Drop the act, man. You should care. And I know you do. I can practically see the steam coming out of your ears trying to figure it out.”
“I just like to talk to people,” Ace defended. “What’s the harm in that?”
“The harm is you don’t just talk. You flirt.” Marco chuckled, shaking his head. “I know what you’re doing, dude, and I don’t blame you. But you’ve got a good thing. Don’t lose it because you want to…talk.”
Ace frowned, annoyed with being called out so personally, but he thought about it while he ate his breakfast alone. He knew how much you hated the way he treated local islanders when you all went out. But he loved the jealous, possessive side of you. He loved watching you fight for him, even if you were fighting with him.
He found you lounging on the deck, reading a magazine. He walked over to you and sat on the edge of the lounger. He saw your eyes flick up and then immediately back to the magazine, and he could’ve sworn the air temperature dropped 10 degrees.
“Hey,” he cooed, his hands dancing up your legs, finding the spots he knew you were ticklish.
You tried to move your legs, but there weren't many places to escape to without getting up and walking away.
“Please talk to me,” he pouted. He leaned against you, pushing your magazine out of the way and resting his head on your chest, looking up at you with his signature puppy dog eyes.
You turned your head away from him, trying your best to ignore him even though he was physically on top of you, pinning you down.
“Pleaseeeee,” Ace begged. His hands came up and playfully squished your cheeks, and you struggled to keep a straight face. He was so good at making you smile.
“Go away,” you finally said, trying to push him off of you. It was useless, but you had to try.
“You speak!” Ace cheered, and you rolled your eyes. You were tired of his antics. You wanted an apology.
“I’m so lonely without you, babe,” Ace sang offkey, his fingers tracing along your shoulders. “Please come back to me, my loveeeee.”
You didn’t react, but you could feel your vision starting to get blurry. He was too stubborn, but you couldn’t keep doing this. You couldn’t keep being humiliated and forced to watch Ace live the best of both worlds.
“I’m sorry,” Ace finally whispered when he saw your eyes starting to get watery. “I know I’m a little insane.”
You finally looked at him, still silent. Waiting for more.
“And I’m sorry I’ve been hurting you for so long,” he said. “I don’t want to lose you. So no more flirting with random people in bars. You’re mine. And I’m yours.”
“Promise?” you whispered, your voice breaking.
“I promise,” he said, nuzzling into your chest and hugging you tight. He’d hold you close and never let you slip away again.

Could you write a drabble of Luffy excited to see reader again in Zou?
BITTERSWEET LOVE CONFESSIONS. . .
★ summary: luffy’s so excited to see you again on zou. (gn!reader)
★ warnings: one piece antics, pre-wci spoilers kinda, sorta ooc! luffy, a lil angst, reader’s an overthinker (wc: ≈1100? is this considered a drabble?)
★ an: ty for allowing me to whip up something to feed my creative side!! i rushed through this though i’ll admit 🥲 but i hope it’s somewhat close to what you were expecting, anon! i’m still trying to get back into writing, so please excuse any grammar/spelling errors TT…also, happy nami day!! my favorite girl <33
luffy’s so so excited.
he’s excited to continue his journey on the grand line, in the new world, his next stop zou to pick up the rest of his crew and hopefully enjoy a nice meal. he’s excited to tell the rest of them about his reunion with sabo, what he’s learned on dressrosa, and to catch up on what’s been happening while he was dealing with business.
but more importantly (though he might never say it out loud, because it’s obvious) he’s excited to see you.
it feels as if the two of you haven’t gotten alone time together since reuniting at sabaody. you promised him you’d tell him all about your training during the two years the crew was separated, but there’s just not enough down time to do so.
as soon as the poorly drawn dragon made its way up the elephant’s leg, luffy wasted no time in his search for you. he was eager to see your face again. to hear your voice. to feel your presence. robin giggled at her captain’s behavior, mentally agreeing with him: wanting to see you and nami again (and her chopper and the crew’s skeleton, too).
“YNNNNNNN!!! where are you?” usopp’s eyes shot out of his head as he looked up and saw his captain standing on a tall wall. “CHOPPER!! NAMI!! SANJI!! BROOK!! YN!! DRAGON BOY!!”
“LUUUUUFFY?! GET DOWN HERE!” usopp screamed. “you’re going to draw attention towards us — we don’t need it!!” law watched as the four of them — zoro, robin, franky and usopp (despite just scolding him) — sighed and continued walking forward. what an odd group of individuals. he must be a handful. the doctor decided to follow the rest of the straw hats, choosing to ignore their captain’s loud antics.
+x+
nami’s voice shook you awake from your slumber, your eyes blurry as you rubbed your forehead. you’re grateful to have been able to get some sleep, your mind still trying to process what’s been happening these days. too much thinking. miss him so much.
“let’s go outside,” nami suggests. “i think they’re finally here.”
upon hearing the words you’ve craved to hear since you’ve arrived on the walking elephant, you jump from your spot and rushed outside. you’re greeted with the crew mates you left on dressrosa, eyes taking in their forms searching for any injuries. after you’ve decided that they’re all in pretty good shape, your attention returns to the loud boy who stood before you.
“LUFFY!” you shout, legs moving towards him without hesitation, almost as if he was magnetizing. you throw your arms around his frame and jump into his embrace, the warmth of his skin meeting yours. his right hand immediately grabs hold of the back of your head, the other steadying your waist in place. he’s about to tell you how much he’s missed you, until you beat him with a hushed whisper in his ear.
“i’m so, so sorry, Lu. sanji…” you start. “we couldn’t stop him.” you’re standing a foot away from him now, head hanging in shame as luffy processes your words. his hands rest on your shoulders, your eyes ignoring his gaze.
the others who joined him on dressrosa collectively let out their confusion, wondering what could’ve happened in the short amount of time they’ve been on dressrosa. you feel luffy’s left hand move from your shoulder to under your chin,
“tell me, yn.”
+x+
you’re all sat in a circle as your captain listens to everyone explaining what’s happened since the twirly hat’s arrival on zou. luffy’s right beside you, digging into his food as your mind fills with memories as nami explains the whole situation regarding sanji. you feel luffy shift slightly, his left arm wrapping around your waist, the other still indulging the meal set in front of him. his attention remains on nami, but the grip on your waist tightens at every mention of you.
after eating, the two of you are able to find some alone time. it’s awkward at first, sitting side by side on a brick wall that guarded the cat viper’s castle. you feel small in his presence as both of you watch the sun set.
“i’ve missed you,” you break the silence. “it’s been a while since we’ve been together.”
luffy’s cheeks are painted with a light blush, a smile forming on his face. “i missed you too yn! been thinking of you ever since you left me on dressrosa — actually, haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since two years ago!”
you return the smile, gaze locking in on his as he brings your body closer to his. his warmth meets your chilled skin, a kiss pressed to the top of your head as you lean into his shoulder.
“have you been okay? doflamingo wasn’t too harsh on you, was he?” you pry. you’ve researched the warlords and came to the conclusion that donquixote doflamingo is — or was — the worst of the seven. when it clicked on punk hazard that doflamingo would be the next victim to fall to luffy, you weren’t sure how to feel. a ton of emotions hit you all at once, but then again, this is the new world. you have to expect the worst.
“oh, mingo? he was this big shot and i’m glad i was able to bring him down. he was doing some really terrible things on the island. but! i did get to see my brother, sabo! you remember me telling you about him, right? turns out he’s been working under my dad for some time now! it’s crazy how the world works,” he eagerly tells you. “he was really hoping to meet you, you know? but i told him you were dealing with business over here — so maybe next time. he also made me a vivre card! it’s in robin’s bag but i’ll be sure to give you a piece when we go back in. hmm, what else?”
you smile as you watch the boy place a hand under his chin and think of events to tell you. you watch as his face changes into many different emotions, and you can’t help but sigh lovingly at the sight.
“hmm? you okay yn?” you shake your head no at the question, inhaling deeply before replying,
“just happy you’re back. missed you so so much. thinking about how much i love you,” warmth filled your face as you realized your last sentence was the first time you’d ever said that to him, eyes darting back to the open sea in front of you.
“huuuuuuuuh?! finally! i love you too, yn. maybe even more! sanji told me i should wait for you to tell me first, but i realized i loved you a long time ago!” luffy’s words were accompanied by his arms wrapping around you once again. he’s always been physical, but this time, you can feel the love radiating off of him. he pulls away and suddenly, your lips are on his. you kiss back instantly, something you’ve craved for a long time; before, luffy’s kisses were always mere pecks. your reunification on sabaody proved that luffy had matured a lot the past two years, but this kiss seals the deal.
“i’ll never leave you, y’know? i kind of wanted you to stay with me on dressrosa,” luffy says as he pulls away and rests his forehead on yours. “but i came to conclusion that you’re strong! which is why i put you in charge. you all made it safely, which was what i told you to do, right? despite what came after…” make sure you and the others arrive on zou safely, yn! you’re now both facing each other, with legs crossed. you quickly think about how high up the two of you are, but the wave of worry vanishes when you remember the bright boy that sat in front of you.
“we’ll get sanji back. we’ll have all our friends together again, so don’t worry. we’re in this together, right?” the words sounded so sweet falling from his lips, and you felt like crying. “it’s a goal of mine to watch you achieve your dream, and so far it’s been a pleasure. don’t plan on missing out!”
seeing the sparkle in his eyes despite the sun setting, made you grab his face with both hands and bring his lips to yours. you poured all the love in your body into the kiss, hoping he’d experience the same feeling you felt when he had kissed you earlier.
“and i’ll be there for your coronation, King.” you smiled at him, turning your body back to the open sea, one you were once afraid of. luffy helped you overcome it; you loved voyaging and the thrill that the ocean offers. you can’t wait to see everyone reach their life dreams, knowing that it’ll happen with the help of the man who sat next to you.
minutes pass you both watched as a pretty shade of dark blue painted the periwinkle sky, in a comfortable silence accompanied by waves clashing against zunesha’s legs.
“….so does that mean we’re technically married now?!”
“luffy..”

Oooh I got a good one !! Yandere platonic Luffy x gn reader x yandere platonic Robin hcs please , maybe reader calls them sister and brother affectionate , only for it to backfire immediately ☃️
Wasn't sure if you meant them together or separate so I did a combination of both.
Yandere! Platonic Luffy + Robin seeing Darling as a sibling
Pairing: Platonic - Sharing
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Manipulation, Clingy behavior, Implied Sabo enables Luffy in a small section, Dubious companionship.
I like to imagine you originally meant what you said as a nickname.
Something similar to 'You go, Sister!' Or 'Take 'em down, Brother!'
You clearly meant 'brother/sister' in a teasing way, like a playful name to call them.
That doesn't necessarily mean you see them like siblings.
The idea of the two misunderstanding your tone and becoming obsessed is an amusing way to think of this concept.
You have no idea what you just started when you say those words.
You may even miss the brief sparkle of excitement that shows in their faces when you call them your sibling.
Obviously Luffy is ecstatic.
He's always been one for siblings and loves the ones he has/had very much.
He loves Ace, he loves Sabo...
If he considers you one of his siblings, then he's super clingy.
Luffy may struggle understanding romance, but platonic love?
He's pretty much a master with that.
He wasn't expecting you to call him brother... but he was hoping you would!
I feel he'd be even worse if this was after losing Ace.
By then he's convinced, before he meets Sabo again, his brothers are dead.
If you call him 'brother' during this time...
Something in Luffy... clicks.
You... You really see him as a brother?
You love him like he's your brother?
Afterwards you get a clingy Luffy who refuses to leave your side.
That's how his brothers died, after all.
Imagine when he meets Sabo again in Dressrosa, he eagerly shows you to him, declaring you his new sibling.
Sabo's surprised at this, meanwhile you're struggling to explain what exactly your bond with Luffy is.
You try to say it's a misunderstanding, but Luffy ignores your words and gleefully tells Sabo you're part of his little family now.
Sabo finds the circumstances amusing, merely grinning and asking you to take good care of Luffy.
Truthfully you may not mind being seen as an older sibling to Luffy...
But you don't particularly enjoy his obsessive behavior that makes him watch your every move like a hawk.
Who knows, maybe later Sabo will see you like a sibling too, just to support Luffy's behavior around you.
Then there's Robin, who's shocked at first when you call her your sister.
Remember, Robin lost her entire family to the World Government and was hunted throughout her life.
She hasn't really had a family to call home.
She's found one in the Straw Hats, luckily.
Robin may also be close to you, which triggers your affectionate nickname.
Unfortunately, like Luffy, she takes your words wrong.
I can actually see Robin dropping her mature act and crying a bit when you tell her.
Which confuses you and makes you panic.
Did... Did you say something wrong...?
Robin may need some time to contemplate your words, trying to recover from the sudden shock.
She isn't immediately clingy as she needs some time to think.
Eventually though she's overjoyed that you consider him close enough to be a sister.
Once she understands the situation, she's super overprotective.
Robin wants to be a protective older sister to you.
After all, you're probably younger than her.
She often keeps an eye on you and is wary whenever others are around you.
She lost her old family and friends...
She isn't going to lose this one... not even you.
Robin would rather sacrifice herself than see you hurt.
She occasionally hugs you, whispering how she loves you, all while you awkwardly hug back.
Again, you don't mind being seen as a sibling to her, but like Luffy she never seems to give you your space...?
With the two working together... Luffy is the clingy younger brother and Robin is the protective older sister to you.
Another thing to note is Luffy and Robin have only ever had positive interactions with each other.
Which means there aren't many times where they'll fight between each other.
In fact... They'll be quite the lethal combo.
Both of them would be overly protective of their obsession if they saw you as a sibling.
The two may even encourage one another since you view them both as your brother/sister.
Robin is more controlled and less impulsive, but Luffy still has a lack of control when it comes to emotions.
If Robin didn't like someone near you, she'd glare and keep you close.
If she had to, she'll use her Devil Fruit to force them away and keep you close to her.
Luffy, as I've stated in previous concepts, runs purely on instinct.
If someone hurt you or was a bit too close...
He's on them within an instant, leading to you trying to pull him off.
Robin will either help you get Luffy under control, or encourage him...
Depends on who it is.
I feel both of them are capable of murder.
Would it come up often? No.
Not unless they could lose you.
I'd say they're both smothering with affection too.
Luffy clings to you with his rubber body, making it hard for you to pull him off you.
Robin herself is fond of the occasional hug.
If you refused, she'd probably drag you into it, saying you need to give your big sis a hug.
The two love you.
Luffy has always been a sibling person and Robin is excited to have found a new family.
If they both see you as family, good luck leaving the Straw Hat Pirates.
If you ever left to another crew or were held hostage by someone...
You'll be dragged back... Doesn't matter how much blood is spilled...
You're family now, like it or not, neither of them will let you leave.

You wear their hat for the first time (ASL trio)
Summary: You pick up their hat and wear it, they spot you. (Amazing summary, I know)
Pairings: Luffy x reader, Ace x reader & Sabo x reader
Warnings: none, just some wholesome content, enjoy. No pronouns used, G/N reader. I'm sure there are Grammatical errors, English is not my first language.
Author's note: these were supposed to be headcannons and I ended up making these elaborate stories (turns out I don't know how to do headcannons). I had to do Luffy's and Ace's version TWICE because I closed my app without saving. I might make a NSFW version someday.
Lyffy
Luffy had always been as bright and cheerful as the sun in your eyes ever since you were kids and you joined ASL's little gang. After you had parted ways promising to meet again in the Grand Line you went on your own adventures.
As fate would have it you encountered Luffy first, you shared an adventure and he was so happy to have you back into his life that he invited you to join his crew. Enjoying being around Luffy as much as he did, you agreed becoming an official strawhat pirate.
Some time had passed since you joined the crew and the more time you spent around Luffy the more you realized you liked him as more than a close friend. You wanted to be closer to him.
You decided to walk around the Sunny in an attempt to organize your thoughts about your childhood friend. You weren't expecting to stumble unto Luffy.
Usually in his favorite seat by the figurehead, this time he was on the grass deck taking a morning nap. His hat laying on top of his face.
Ever since you met Luffy way back in Dawn Island he has had his strawhat. It's his treasure given to him by Shanks. He is rarely without it, very rarely do other members of the crew have it, mainly as moral support from the captain in tough times.
You've never worn it before, but now, looking at it from above you wondered how Luffy felt when he was wearing it. Without realizing you had crouched down next to Luffy and were staring hard at his hat.
Your thought process led you to carefully lift it from his sleeping face and place it on your head. Once you realized how close to his face you were, your face heated and you retreated quickly, making sure not to disturb his nap further.
You continued your stroll walking away at a brisk pace, without avoiding thinking it would have felt better if Luffy had placed it himself. After some mindless strolling you ended up in the garden where you put your restless energy to good use by tending to the plants.
Luffy woke up when the sun that had been hiding behind some clouds came out and hit his face warming it. He squinted at the sun standing up groggily and reaching behind his back to grab his hat and place it on his head. Except the hat wasn't there.
"Mmmm?" Coming out from his sleepy state he looked around the grass where he lay, no sign of the hat. He noticed Robin sitting at a nearby table reading so he stood and walked towards her. "Hey Robin, have you seen my hat? I'm pretty sure I had it before I took a nap"
Robin looked up, she had seen the whole scene, laughing lightly she replied "Don't worry captain, it's in safe hands".
That made him frown, so one of the crew had it. He wasn't mad someone had taken it, as long as they had let him know. So know he was going to go look for the thief and get his hat back.
"They should still be above deck so you'll have no trouble finding them I believe" remarked Robin. His attitude did a 180, now it was like a game of hide n' seek and with Luffy's love for games he couldn't help but get excited.
He wasted no time, throwing his hands towards the crow's nest and rocketing himself towards the highest point of the boat. Once there he scouted the perimeter of the boat looking for his hat.
He quickly spotted it in the garden but due to the angle he couldn't see the body underneath. "He he I found you!" With his zero impulse control he stretched his arms towards the figure and once he was locked in he let himself fly again.
You having no time to react could only try to plant your feet firmly on deck. It wasn't enough, you both tumbled to the floor a tangle of bodies and hat. "Gotcha!" Exclaimed Luffy while laughing.
He had ended on top of you, straddling your legs with his. He was still laughing "Hey why did you take my h-" the word caught in his tongue.
His brain had short-circuited as he had finally looked at you. Really looked. Arms flexed at your elbows, you were looking up at him. The hat managed to stay on just as you had place it. You had it pushed up so the edges circled your face.
To Luffy it looked like a halo, it framed your face just right. Maybe it was the hat giving you a bit of Luffy's sunshine or just you but to him you looked radiant. He wanted to say all those things and more but he was bewitched.
"Sorry I didn't tell you it just sorta happened" you offered. Your speaking broke the spell he was under enough that be managed to say "You look good wearing my hat", smooth.
You still felt heat rising to your cheeks. You averted your gaze which had been locked on his face from the intense eye contact he had. Which served to bring attention to how you were laying, him on top of you. Your cheeks were burning.
"Um, Luffy you mind?" You asked, your voice and octave higher than usual. "No not at all" you were talking about his sitting he thought you meant wearing his hat.
"Could you please move?" You tried again. "Mmm? Oh yeah yeah of course shi shi shi" He chuckles as he rose. He was still mesmerized by how amazing you looked, cursing himself mentally for not placing it on your head sooner.
He offered his hand and you took it gratefully. He raised you with force, whoch made you end up flush against his chest. This was your punishment (reward) for stealing the hat, no personal space to process your raging heartbeat.
You quickly lowered your gaze towards his chest but he grabbed your chin forcing you to meet his eyes. "Don't look away, look at me y/n" He spoke in a serious tone which made your toes curl.
It turns out Luffy had been dealing with some confusing feelings of his own. Whenever you would enter a room he was in he would light up. He always searched for you first when the crew regrouped always looked at you after he told a joke to see you laugh his chest swelling with pride when you did. He enjoyed your laugh way too much. Finding you in the Grand Line had been a gift to Luffy, especially because you were not his crewmate and he got to go on adventures everyday with you.
So in that moment he moved his hand from your chin to the back of your head and kissed you deeply. It was a messy kiss, you were so shocked you couldn't react properly the first moments.
But then you understood what was happening and you melted completely into the kiss. Opening your palms from where they were against his chest. The kiss went on until you pulled away for air, if you hadn't Luffy would've probably kept going.
He smiled sheepishly at you "you really look good in my hat".
From then on Luffy would randomly place his hat on your head. Followed by a kissing session because he couldn't quite help himself when you wore it. Obviously, he kissed you often whether or not you were wearing his treasured strawhat.
Ace
You know how it's typical for Ace to pass out mid-meal? Well that also happened to be the best time to play pranks on him. You've played some minors pranks on him ever since you were children and he started exhibiting this behavior. They were always minor things, nothing too serious or mean.
Today you were having a nice chat during meal time on board the Moby Dick. Ever since you reunited on the Grand Line you had spent your time together. You were even invited to join Shirohige's crew which you gladly accepted.
Now, as per most times, Ace was mid sentence when he just PLOCK his face hit his plate and he started snoozing. You chuckled lightly looking at him endearingly. You continued with your meal, musing over how you would play with Ace this time when your eyes landed on his hat.
You hummed pensatively. Now that you thought about it, you had never worn his hat, prank or otherwise. You lifted it from his head and placed it in yours. You finished your meal, and he still wasn't up which wasn't uncommon. You even left to subdue some enemy pirates who were stupid enough to start a fight with the Whitebeard pirates right by the boat.
Finally tired of inhaling rice grains from his plate Fire Fist Ace woke up. He was a little groggy but was ready to continue his conversation with you when he noticed you weren't by his side. He finished his meal and stood up walking towards the already dying commotion.
He was about to reach the railing when you got on board with a few crewmembers that had gone with you. Ace froze in his tracks, he reached for the top of his head now noticing he didn't have his hat. Instead, it lay on top of your head.
He placed his fingers in his chin admiring the view in front of him, smiling appreciatively. You lookex a little ruffled but otherwise he couldn't see any injuries which eased his mind. He started making his way over to you. Meanwhile, you were oblivious that he had spotted you laughing with your crewmates.
When he reached you, Ace grabbed you by the waist with one hand pulling you towards him. Your back flush against his chest. "Hello there sexy" he greeted. You turned your head meeting his eyes "Hey there handsome" you purred back flipping his hat in greeting in the signature way he usually does. This casual flirting between you had been going on for some time now.
What had surprised you most after your reunion was how different he acted. He was now cocky, flirty, had become a powerful commander in Shirohige's crew AND had learned some proper manners mostly. You didn't mind this change at all. In fact, you found yourself attracted to Ace like you never had before.
The more you flirted jokingly, the more you enjoyed it. Even going as far as becoming upset over the fact that he could do it with other people. He never did though, for some reason (he's a bit slow) he only enjoyed teasing you. Loved seeing the way you would react to his attitude and what sore of witty comeback you would throw back at him.
"Where did you get this nice hat?" He said tapping it with his free hand. "Oh you know, I picked it up from an unconscious person, the usual" you snickered.
"Oh is that so?" He raised his eyebrow. "I do recall having it on my head as I was dining". He remarked. "Oh yes, I do believe it was your head it was on top of" you made a pensive gesture as if trying to remember who you took it from.
He chuckles. "Well, I'll just say hat lending doesn't come cheap these days, especially if I didn't consent to lending it in the first place" both of his hands were on your waist fingers laced at your front. "Oh my, how much are we talking about?" You leaned into him resting your head against him.
He grinned at you, "I'll take a kiss as payment". Now, you had been presented a choice. You turned around to face him, leaned closed and kissed him, on the mouth.
Ace's reaction was priceless, his eyes went big like plates. Sure, the possibility had always been there, but he thought he'd get a kiss on the cheek at most. You smiled against the kiss and he didn't waste a minute kissing back.
You kissed until the surrounding crewmates found somewhere else to be, someone even shouting "get a room!" You withdrew from the kiss. "The hat looks good on you" He finally said.
"Why thank you, though the payment for borrowing it seems a bit high I don't get that much allowance" you replied grinning wide. "High? It's just one per lending. That seems like a fair price" He frowned.
"Plus, you can pay in advance" He winked. "Oh in that case I might get a week's worth a day" that made Ace blush. You smiled feeling satisfied at his reaction, it was not always he demonstrated when he was flustered so it was a nice change of pace. "That would be no problem at all" He managed to reply.
Sabo
The fact that Sabo's signature hat had remained attached to his head even when his memory hadn't was how you had reunited with him (though to be fair you also heard Koala calling his name, you just put 2 + 2 together and approached him).
After witnessing one too many injustices you had seeked out the Revolutionary Army intending to join, though you hadn't expected to meet them so soon and Sabo among them.
Afraid to hope, you approached him and confirmed his identity. Crying you launched yourself into his arms and caught up to date with him. He then welcomed you under his wing as a member of the Revolutionary Army.
Now Sabo being Sabo he always had a hundred thoughts racing through his mind. It was common practice for him to forget stuff and then race back for them like his notes, pipe and of course, his hat.
There was a Super Important Meeting scheduled for the important members of the army on a different island than the base. You were heading out to the meeting when you spotted Sabo's hat in his study.
You couldn't help but smile and shake your head. Sabo was already at the rendezvous point, no hat, most likely upset. Fine, you could do him a small favor.
~~~~~~~~~
You reached the meeting place and smiled to yourself. Sabo was there alright, head resting on his palm a frown on his handsome features looking towards the wall. You made your way to the table, purposely choosing a seat right across him.
Everyone who saw you smiled greeted you with gestures instead of words so as not to alert the clueless boy of your arrival. Finally, the meeting started and Sabo was forced to look forward immediately spotting his hat then you, wearing it.
He stood up straight in his chair, mouth opening and closing like he wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. Indeed he couldn't find the words, but also, important meeting and all.
You met his eyes and lowered his hat in greeting a small smile resting in your lips. You then proceeded to pretend Sabo didn't exist for the rest of the meeting which was hard considering all he did was stare at you.
You looked towards all members as they spoke, not once meeting Sabo's eyes or acknowledging him. Just a little prank, a prank that was driving Sabo crazy.
Sure he was staring, but he couldn't help it. You were dazzling his entire existence right this moment. The hat suited you perfectly. It complimented your outfit which made him wonder if you had changed to wear the hat better even though it had been a coincidence.
Finally, the meeting was over and you rose to leave hoping to keep the prank going a little longer. Sabo practically jumped out of his seat dodging other meeting attendants trying to speak with him.
He caught up with you, grabbing your hand to spin you towards him making you face him. "Y/n", he said smiling, "Don't you have something of mine?"
"Mmm? I'm not sure what you mean?" You feigned ignorance trying your hardest not to smile too wide. Sabo just laughed pushing his hat down so it obscured your sight. "I'm sure you do"
You took it off chuckling and Sabo bowed prince style so you could return the hat to its rightful place. He straightened still smiling "not to be biased about my own hat, but you look fantastic wearing it"
Ignoring the butterflies riding rollercoasters in your stomach you gathered your courage and asked "so, where's my reward?" That threw Sabo off a little "reward?" He asked.
"Yeah for bringing you your precious hat" you crossed your arms, waiting. You had a crush on Sabo and loved when he dotted on you, complimented you or took the time to help you or hang out with you. Anything he would give you, you would cherish it.
Sabo thought for a moment, rubbing his fingers on his chin and closing his eyes. After a couple mmmm's he opened his eyes "I got it!" He exclaimed a light pink tint in his cheeks.
Without giving you time to react or act he grabbed you by the waist with one hand, he leaned in, pushing your body back and kissed you on the lips passionately.
You were tense as a spring one second, the next you were leaning into the kiss wrapping your hands around his neck. You both allowed the kiss to go on until you had to break apart to breathe.
Still in a leaning position Sabo asked "was it enough of a reward for you?" He was grinning. All you managed was a "mmmhm", you both went in for another kiss.
Under the Microscope, part 2 (Yandere Sabo x Reader)
18+ MDNI on Ao3
No smut, but some not great behavior from Sabo.
All other chapters
You caught yourself getting excited for your next shift guarding Sabo. It was sad, really, if you thought about it. You’d resorted to being friendly with convicted prisoners to relieve your loneliness. You were no stranger to being on your own, you had been since childhood, but the active hostility from the other Marines on the base had taken its toll on you. Was it so wrong to look forward to someone who was excited to see you? Who shared common interests? You decided to stop beating yourself up and to enjoy Sabo’s company while he was here. Soon he’d be transferred and you’d be all alone once again.
You didn’t have a shift everyday, today you were just working on your research in your office. It was slow going, you wished you’d been given a research partner. You’d always done better when you had someone you could bounce ideas off of. But the nature of your assignment meant that you had to work alone. The other scientist at the base was a Marine biologist and your work didn’t overlap at all, so you couldn’t even use him as a sounding board. You had a lot to do, so you rolled up your sleeves and magnified until your vision swam. You weren’t any closer to figuring out the genetic sequencing and the meeting with Admiral Sakazuki was getting closer. Not only that, your hands were shaking so badly you couldn’t hold your cup of coffee. You decided to take a break to try to refocus.
Going outside, you realized it was already late at night. You missed lunch and dinner again, working in your office in complete concentration. You weren’t hungry anyway, your stomach twisted in knots. You sighed and looked up at the night sky. You’d always loved the stars and constellations. Your devil fruit had only enhanced your love, allowing you to see deep into the beauty of the cosmos. Your hands were shaking but you tried to magnify some of your favorite constellations. After a few unsuccessful attempts, you were able to see the Andromeda galaxy clearly. It had been your favorite since childhood, allowing you to remember that your problems were so very small and the universe so very large. You’d also loved the story about the princess in chains being rescued from a monster by a brave hero, and their happily ever after. Of course, such things only ever happened in stories, no one was coming to save you from your own life.
You magnified the galaxy several times, enjoying the swirling stars in motion. The hairs on the back of your neck raised - you had the feeling someone was watching you. Looking around, you couldn’t see anyone in the darkness. But you couldn’t shake the feeling, it was unnerving you. You flicked your hand through the magnification, erasing it. You felt like an animal snared in a trap and you wanted to get away quickly. With a heavy sigh, you went back inside to continue working. You wouldn’t see Sabo for a few days, so you needed to concentrate while you had unbroken blocks of time.
~~~
You had barely been sleeping during the nights, and had early morning guard duty with Sabo a few days later. Well, not with Sabo, guarding Sabo. You had to keep reminding yourself that he was dangerous and violent, not someone to pal around with. You yawned as you entered the room, saluting to your fellow officer as he left quickly. You’d heard the other ensigns talking about how they didn’t like guarding Sabo, that he creeped them out as he silently stared through the bars. That they didn’t get within a meter of the cell for fear he’d hurt them. It was hard to reconcile that image when he spent most of your shift trying to talk to you and had been so relaxed when you’d stupidly gone inside.
You took a huge gulp of your hot coffee and slumped down on the guard bench, dropping your papers next to you. You leaned your head back against the brick behind you and closed your eyes, taking a moment to settle in for the next few hours. Sabo was already lounging by the front of the cell, ready to engage with you.
“Good morning Sabo,” you stated, not opening your eyes. You could feel his stare already.
“Good morning, Mag. I’m so glad to see you again,” Sabo said exuberant. At least he had a positive attitude. You yawned again, covering your mouth with your arm. “Still tired, hmm?” Sabo queried. You cracked open your eyes. Not this again.
“Like always, I’m fine.” You knew you looked like death, but you didn’t have to admit it.
“Have you made progress in your work?” You stiffened. You still couldn’t talk about your work with Sabo. Besides, it was a sore point and you felt defensive. You hadn’t gotten as much done during your break from guard duty as you’d hoped.
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
“I understand.”
“Your wounds look better,” you said, glancing over his body. You were glad to see he was healing. Sabo hummed, uninterested in that line of conversation. His eyes flicked over you for a moment.
“Are you aware you’re losing weight?” You frowned and looked down at your uniform. You hadn’t noticed at all, but he was right. Your uniform was baggy and loose, you might have to go ask for the next size down. You often missed meals when you were working, but even when you noticed it was meal time your anxiety decreased your appetite to practically nothing.
“Oh, um, I guess so.”
“Do they not take care of you? Along with working you half to death?” You bristled at his patronizing words.
“They don’t need to take care of me. I’m a grown adult, I take care of myself.” You said testily, narrowing your eyes. You knew you weren't at your top physical condition, but you didn’t need yet another person to tell you that you were helpless and weak. Especially not someone who was currently in seastone cuffs and behind bars . Your hands started to shake, which didn’t help your point.
“Not very well, it seems. But that doesn’t matter. When we get back to the Revolutionary Army, I’ll take care of you.” You snorted out a laugh. Sabo was just referencing his joke from the other day, he was only kidding. You felt better, he wasn’t criticizing you or your lack of self care. You rolled your eyes and smiled at him.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Sabo said cryptically.
“Probably not, but go ahead.” You never knew what Sabo was going to say.
“You think I can’t take care of you, because I look like this,” he said, gesturing to his frame. “Rest assured, when I get back, eat more and resume my training, I’ll be more to your liking.” You thought you were going to pass out from all your blood suddenly rushing to your face. That was nowhere near anything you were thinking about.
“Oh, uh, right. Sure. I mean, I can - uh - ask for you to get supplemental food, uhm, if you want,” you stammered. What on earth were you supposed to say to that?
“Always so kind, Mag. You’re a diamond in the rough. But there’s no need.” Sabo gave you a soft smile. You supposed there wasn’t, it wouldn’t be approved by the higher ups. You drank your coffee to end this conversation and hopefully never bring it up again.
~~~
An hour later and your eyelids were barely open. The room was warm as always, but because of the early morning chill, it felt wonderful. The room was calm and peaceful, and you were leaning against one of the supports by the bench. You’d decided to give Sabo a long article you wanted to read but hadn’t had the time. It wasn’t specific to your research, so you didn’t see how it could hurt. It was better than him being bored and saying embarrassing things to you. He was reading in silence on his metal bed, and you on your guard bench. The quiet was comfortable, punctuated by the sound of turning pages. You had your book open in front of you and were re-reading the same paragraph for the eighth time. Your eyes kept sliding closed, your head lolling forward. You couldn’t fall asleep - that was the entire point of guard duty. If you were caught, you’d be in huge trouble. So you tried to keep reading, blinking rapidly to maintain your focus.
Sabo POV
Sabo watched you drift off to sleep, happy you were getting some needed rest. It warmed his heart to see that you felt comfortable in his presence, enough to let him watch you while you slept. You had dozed off leaning against the wall, your face now relaxing. You looked younger without anxiety clouding your features. You always insisted you were fine, but it was obvious to him that you were working yourself to the bone. He knew you’d taken offense at what he’d said, but he had meant it. You weren’t taking care of yourself - the weight loss, the sleeplessness, the anxiety, your shaking hands, all of these would take a toll on you the longer it went on. He couldn’t wait until he could leave the jail and take you with him.
You were such a delightful person, Sabo couldn’t believe you’d become a Marine. In his experience, Marines were weak, idiotic fools who were sacrificing themselves for a government that didn’t care if they lived or died. They didn’t even see the issue in doing so, as long as they got to beat down some poor villagers now and again. But you were different, so very different. You were brilliant, even if no one saw that here but himself. You were kind, having helped him with his shoulder for no reason other than empathy. It had been a foolish choice on your part, Sabo could have easily killed you. But that was something he liked about you - you were completely clueless to the way the real world worked. You were so eager to learn and understand the world but so helpless within it. You’d be alright now, you had Sabo to look after you. You didn’t understand what kinds of people lived in the world and what they would do to such a weak little thing like yourself. Luckily Sabo had found you, and he’d keep you safe.
Sabo had been to Bayonette on assignment from the Revolutionary Army a few weeks prior to his “capture.” The Army had gotten a tip off from a mole at the base that a gifted scientist had been tasked with isolating the gene associated with the Will of D., the practical application unknown. Sabo was supposed to derail the scientific progress in any way deemed necessary, including assassination of the scientist leading the project. Given the delicate nature of the research, he had assumed the lead scientist would be heavily guarded, with a large support team to help them with their work. Imagine his surprise when he found that the bright researcher was you, working alone, in a regular office. You didn’t have any additional support, guards, or even a lab. He supposed he shouldn’t have been that surprised, the Marines had never been good at resource allocation. Or anything, really.
He’d watched you from afar for about a week, monitoring your every move. He quickly realized the strength of your Devil Fruit, as he watched you poring over DNA for hours. Your fruit, combined with your intelligence, made you an incredible research scientist. He had no doubt that if given enough time, you’d be able to sequence the Will of D., to the detriment of the world. Yes, you needed to be stopped, but you didn’t need to be neutralized. Sabo didn’t think you had malicious intentions, he wasn’t even sure you knew why the Will of D. was important. He could refocus your work to something more beneficial to the RA, he was sure of it.
You were unintentionally difficult to get access to - you didn’t leave the base or take missions. The only way he was going to see more of you was from inside the base. So Sabo had allowed himself to get “captured” by some weaklings and sent to jail to get closer to you. The more Sabo interacted with you, the more he liked you. You were smart, sweet, well spoken, and alluring. You drove him to distraction and he couldn’t always reign himself in when you were around. He felt like a boy again, always putting his foot in his mouth around a crush. He’d been kicking himself over his “darling” comment, along with a few others. Sabo hadn’t made such a bad slip up since he was a teen. He could tell he had embarrassed you and that you didn’t understand he was trying to flirt. You had just met Sabo, or so you thought, and were still reserved. That was ok, Sabo would have plenty of time to woo you once you were with him.
Sabo quickly realized why you weren’t utilizing your fruit as a spy or for counterintelligence. You were completely oblivious to almost everything. You didn’t notice him spying on you, you didn’t notice the way the other Marines looked at you lustfully, you didn’t notice when it was time to eat, you didn’t notice when others were jealous of you, you didn’t notice when he’d made it into the jail. You didn’t take stock of anything besides your work. You were so unperceptive, it was endearing. Even little rabbits knew when they were being cornered, but not you.
What did surprise him was the absolutely terrible state that the Marines pushed you to. Given your mild and intellectual nature, he thought they would have taken better care of you. Instead, he could feel the anxiety and loneliness radiating off of you. You were losing weight rapidly and looked like you hadn’t slept in months. Your fellow Marines treated you like garbage, speaking down to you and roughing you up. Sabo adjusted his gloves thinking about those who had hurt you physically and emotionally. It was a tell he’d tried to get rid of without much success. Dragon had warned him time and time again that it telegraphed his desire for violence, but when he saw you get checked in the guard room he couldn’t contain himself. He wanted to hurt anyone who made you feel less than - whoever told you that you weren’t beautiful, whoever had made up that gauche nickname, whoever told you that you weren’t useful, whoever was giving you more work than you could handle alone. Sabo had already taken care of Koji, and he was planning on returning to the base for some additional retribution in the future. It had been irritating allowing Koji to strike Sabo but he didn’t want to make it seem like his own attack was unprovoked. After all, he didn’t want to have to break free before his plans came to fruition.
~~~
Your POV
You awoke with a start, immediately realizing two things. First, you had fallen asleep sitting up during guard duty. You prayed to a higher power (caffeine) that no one had seen you. Second, Sabo was staring at you again from within his cell.
“Don’t worry, no one came in,” Sabo said calmly, assuaging your fears.
“Ah, thank you. I… didn’t sleep much last night. I, um, didn’t mean to fall asleep.” You were feeling self conscious at the thought of him watching you sleep.
“I should hope not. What if I had escaped? Or caused some mayhem?” Sabo asked teasingly. The truth was, if either of those happened you wouldn’t be able to do anything. You’d have to call for help. But you felt comfortable joking back since it seemed he might keep your secret.
“Maybe I would stop you by boring you to death talking about my research,” you chuckled.
“Oh, no. That could never happen. I find it all very fascinating. In fact, I wanted to discuss this article with you.”
“You finished it already? It was over 60 pages long.” How long had you been asleep?
“Mm, I couldn’t put it down, it was engrossing.” He talked about the scientific article like it was a novel. The only other person who thought like that was, well, you. You came and sat in front of the bars, close enough where he’d be able to reach you if he wasn’t wearing cuffs. You brought your now half full coffee with you, wanting to finish the cup before you got another.
“I haven’t read it yet, actually. Can you give me the synopsis?” Maybe Sabo could help you just a little bit in getting your work done. He didn’t know the exact implications of the article, and it was publicly available. It would be no different than giving him a random book from the library.
“Sure!” Sabo said, grinning. He spent the next few minutes telling you about theories regarding Next Generation Sequencing, a way to look at many DNA fragments simultaneously. You nodded along and took a few notes. Without the right equipment available, it was unfortunately pointless for you to try. You peppered in a few questions, which Sabo was able to answer easily.
“I think that kind of sequencing could only be done by Dr. Vegapunk,” you mused. “I don’t even have a real microscope here, I do everything by hand, so to speak.”
“Or, maybe you could try to expand the use of your Devil Fruit,” Sabo suggested. “You know, awaken it.” You frowned. You had heard rumors of what that meant but hadn’t met anyone who’d done it. You’d try to research it in your free time after your assignment. You drank deeply from your cup.
“Well, it’s interesting either way. I hope they use it to help sequence some of these Grand Line viruses, to help cure them.” Sabo laughed bitterly and your face fell.
“You don’t really think that’s what they’ll do, right? It’s always about control and power. It would get used to create biological weapons for warfare, something like that. Destroy some island without having to be there.” You looked away, thinking about Sabo’s words. You knew that your work wasn’t always used to benefit people, but surely some of it was. Or maybe you were just deluding yourself. The voice in the back of your head had often asked what your work was being used for, you just squashed it and took your paychecks. Your hands started to shake in your lap.
“I’m sorry, Mag. I shouldn’t have said that. I don’t want you to think of yourself -” Sabo started to say softly.
“It’s fine, I can’t - it’s just a job,” you finished lamely. You looked at your watch, you only had a few more minutes with him anyway. You got up and collected your things quietly, thinking about the implications of your work. You weren’t told exactly what the “D” you were looking for came from or what it was connected to, that was outside the scope of your work. You were just a pawn, doing what you were expected to do. “Thank you for reading the article, I enjoyed discussing it together.” It almost felt like having a lab partner again. You hesitated - you wanted to give Sabo more to read but didn’t want to get in trouble. It had helped you to have a synopsis without having to do the work yourself, maybe it would be good for both of you. He'd have something to do and you could get some use out of his intelligence.
“Can you - I can give you more to read, if you’d like,” you offered. Sabo nodded his head enthusiastically. You approached his cell, extending a textbook through the bars. He gently took it and smoothly turned it to look at the cover. It was about tryptophan receptors in centromeres, or how to turn key DNA on and off in difficult locations. Yes, it would confirm that you were working on genetic sequencing, but he had already figured that out. “Read as much as you want, we can talk about it my next shift.” With that, you left Sabo’s room. You were out the door for the changing of the guards when the other Marine stopped you before entering the cell room. Officer Shiff was cordial to you, you didn’t mind speaking with him.
“Are you taking the rest of Koji’s shifts?” Shiff asked.
“For the next week, yeah. He assigned them to me,” you tried to keep the grimace off your face. Shiff looked at you confused.
“Mag, what are you - he was severely beaten, he’s in a medically induced coma right now. Koji attacked the Flame Emperor from within his cell, underestimating his strength. Koji’s not going to be working for months, or maybe ever again. You might have to cover for him until other arrangements are made.” Your eyes opened wide. Sabo had done that? While wearing seastone cuffs? You glanced back at him through the window in the door. He had taken off his tophat and was reading the textbook you’d given him. He looked up at you and grinned. You trembled and your hands shook so hard you dropped your papers. You quickly picked them up and scurried away back to the safety of your office.
~~~
Despite finding out the extent of Sabo’s fighting capabilities, you couldn’t stop yourself from enjoying your shifts with him over the next week. You had been right, Sabo was an excellent lab partner. He quickly understood any material you presented him with and you could discuss deep scientific ideas together. He was funny, polite, charming and so handsome. He hung on your every word - you didn’t think anyone had ever given you so much attention. But it wasn’t like he had a choice, you thought, he was literally your captive audience. Still, he seemed to enjoy your company as much as you did his. Sometimes you played with your Devil Fruit, showing him his own DNA or random cells and molecules. You showed him the cosmos, your favorite pastime, and shared your favorite stars. To do that, you had to get near the bars. You’d been more uneasy since you’d heard what he did to Koji, but you couldn’t resist. You were drawn to him like a moth to a flame.
One evening shift, you had been magnifying space for Sabo, just for fun. You had brought an extra large coffee, filled to the brim with cream and sugar. The two of you spent hours looking through the cosmos, talking about space and making other small talk. You’d ended up showing him Saturn’s enchanting icy rings, magnifying them until you could see individual chunks of ice and rock. You sipped the last of your coffee and tossed the paper cup into the trash. It had kind of a salty aftertaste. Must have been a bad batch.
“Absolutely stunning, right?” you said, watching the icy rings.
“Mmm. Nothing compares,” he replied. You turned to look at him, and he was watching you. Your face heated.
“Sabo, don’t.” He hummed and reached for you between the bars. His hand slipped through, uncuffed from the other. You froze. Sabo didn’t seem concerned, just brought his hand back and reapplied the cuff to his wrist.
“They - they’re broken?” you whispered. You wanted to bolt from the room as fast as you could. You didn’t want to be the next Koji.
“Mm. I broke them before they were put on me. The seastone still works, though, if I keep them on.” Sabo was speaking conversationally, like you were still talking about Saturn’s rings, not about how he was completely free to do whatever he’d like.
“That’s just to escape, right? You’re not going to hurt us?” you whispered, head down. You were truly scared. You weren’t sure why he’d waited so long to leave. If he could break the seastone cuffs, he’d easily be able to break through the iron bars of the cell. There was nothing keeping him away from you. You would have maybe a second to react if he decided to do anything.
“Not you - never you,” Sabo breathed to you. You glanced up at the earnest and dashing man in front of you, looking at you like you were worth something. There were many things you could do, many choices you could make. You should have rang the alarm, had others come in to fight the Flame Emperor. But the truth was, you didn’t want Sabo to have to fight, to be sent to Impel Down. You didn’t want him to be tortured, you didn’t want him to be hurt. Tossing and turning in your bed at night, you had occasionally thought about the possibilities if you had met Sabo in another life. If he wasn't second in command of the Revolutionary Army and you a Marine. If you would have been friends, or colleagues, or even lovers. You made your final foolish choice.
“They’re transferring you soon, you need to leave,” you said quietly. You looked at him imploringly. Sabo took his hand out from the cuff once more and cupped your cheek, to your shock. He smiled kindly at you. Your vision was wavering, maybe you were more tired than you thought.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be gone soon. I was just waiting for an RA ship to be close enough for us to leave easily.” You pulled back with difficulty from his grasp. Maybe he was still joking?
“I’m, um, staying here. I can’t come with you to the Revolutionary Army. I’m a Marine.” You had hoped to speak firmly but both your voice and hands were shaking. Your voice felt foreign to you, like someone else was controlling it. Sabo smiled at you condescendingly, like you were a small child.
“Mag, do you know what the other scientist on the base does?” You weren’t sure where he was going with this. It was becoming difficult to concentrate on his words.
“Mark? H-he’s a marine biologist. He’s working on s-synthesizing some kind of s-secretion from crabsss.” Mark’s research wasn’t classified, but you didn’t know how Sabo knew about him. You also didn’t know why you were slurring like you were drunk.
“That’s correct. Mark specifically works on synthesizing a toxin from Grand Line Blue Crabs that can be used as a benzodiazepine. He’s had a lot of success. He’s created a scent and odor free drug that can be added to liquids. Its use is primarily as a surgical anesthetic, but can also be used to drug unsuspecting victims, causing them to pass out quickly. It is highly effective, even in small doses.” You were glad you were already sitting down, your legs felt numb, like they were detached from your body.
“It has a slight salty taste, but if diluted in say, coffee with cream and sugar, it is rendered nearly tasteless.” You nodded, but which Sabo should you talk to? There were two now. And they both seemed to be leaving the cell.
“Go to sleep. I'll keep you safe.” You nodded again. That sounded like a great plan. You were carefully lifted from the ground and held tightly. “You’ll never have to worry again. I’m going to take care of you from now on.” You fell asleep to the sound of a crackling fire and the sensation of being carried by strong arms.
Revenge and Teasings ( Asl x sister!reader)
A/N: Yall, I COOKED; we got some of that ASL action up in here 🫦. Will this make you guys forgive me for leaving you unfed for two days? We got those polled jobs; I think we all agreed on these guys’ jobs. I didn’t ask about Luffy cause he has a canonically modern au job given by Oda 👀 . Guys, I researched Law and firefighting for a few hours for this. Im a teacher, so thankfully, I didn't have to research that one. Also, beware, this does address abusive relationships, but dw, I also included a lot of wholesomeness at the end cause; hello?
The three Brothers find themselves in the living room, Ace and Luffy roughhousing while Sabo sighs, trying to separate them.
Their usual antics were halted as the door to the house slammed open and closed, their little sister standing at the door, tears going down her face.
“O-Oh hey, you guys are all here earlier!” She exclaims hastily, wiping her face
The fighting paused as all three paused and stared, Sabo nodding.
"Yeah… I only had a short meeting with a client today; Ace just had a PD day, and Luffy didn’t have a shift today… are you okay, Reader?”
He asked her, glancing at her; her eyes were puffed up, her hair was everywhere, and her clothes were covered with dirt
“Yeah! Yeah! Just had a little stumble outside; it was so embarrassing since everyone saw it and got overwhelmed,” she replies quickly, trying to fix the mess in her hair
The brothers all glanced at each other and then back to Reader, who clearly was lying.
Ace narrowed his eyes at her.
"You’re lying."
Luffy nodded also.
“Yeah, you’re really bad at lying when you’re upset. What’s wrong?”
“You caught me.”
She laughs
“The administration called me out today; one of my co-workers complained about how I ran the classroom; I was so upset I lost balance on my bike and fell,” she winced, rubbing her nose.
“To make matters worse, now I have a bunch of paperwork to do, thanks to her, so I have to get started on that,” she groans, walking up the stairs
“I’ll be downstairs for dinner!” she calls as she enters her room, closing the door behind her
“….”
“Since when does she call the other teachers ‘co-workers’? She always calls them by name when telling us about them, doesn’t she?” Sabo questions
“It’s absolute bullshit that anyone would complain about her classroom, I’ve seen her lesson plans, and they are one of a kind; there's no way anyone could complain about them,” Ace adds
“And why was she so worked up over paperwork…? She always loves doing it; she was one of those weirdos who loved having something to do…., especially for her kids.”
“She definitely lying again….” Sabo concludes, getting up.
“Let me talk to her!” Luffy exclaims, shooting up
“I think it’s best we all go together; if we go alone, she will easily be able to brush us off or lie again; it’s harder to do that with three people onto you.”
“Okay then, let’s go,” Ace said, getting up as well and climbing up the stairs
“Reader? Can you open up for a minute?”
“Y-Yeah! Just give me a minute!” She screamed, sounds of her scrambling being heard
“Hey, I thought I told you guys I had paperwork to do?” she nervously smiled as she opened the door
“ We know you are l-“ Luffy starts but is cut off as Ace quickly wraps his arms around him, covering his mouth
“We know you’re having a crappy day, but we thought that since we were all here, we would spend some time together,” Sabo cuts in with a gentle smile on his face
“O-oh, well…yeah, come in then!” She said, opening the door wider with a smile
After some whispering between Ace and Luffy, the brothers pile in; Ace sits in her desk chair while Luffy throws himself on her bed next to her, and Sabo takes a seat on the bed, glancing at her
"Hey, what’s this reader?” Luffy said, raising his sister’s sleeve to reveal a dark bruise on her wrist.
“Oh, that! Well, like I said, I had a pretty bad tumble on the bike.”
“You have another one forming on your face. Luffy points out.”
“Yeah… I must have been really unlucky; I fell on my face when I fell.”
Sabo narrowed his eyes at her; after so many cases and long days at the court, he had grown excellent at deciphering body language; it became second nature for him to spot mannerisms that hinted towards the person’s insincerity or anxiousness.
Mannerism, such as constantly shifting their eyes between different people in the room, the way they begin to scratch at their nose more often than usual, playing with their hair to try to ease the anxiety or the slight tilt they did towards the door, an escape route if they were discovered; all of these he could easily spot in his sister.
Luffy glanced at the bruises, experience of running in and out of burning buildings, and helping people in hazardous and unfortunate situations; he had seen all types of injuries and had become used to them, become used to identifying their origin
Scrapes and open skin from high-speed accidents, abrasions on the skin from hazardous materials being misused or leaked, and even bruises and injuries from civil unrest situations. He had enough experience to be able to tell injuries from a bike stumble to man-made injuries.
Ace glanced at her sister; because of his job, he was obligated to be certified in specific areas, mandatory reporting being one of them.
Because he spent all day with the children, he had to be able to spot any abusive indicators, inconsistencies in their stories, malnutrition, the children’s reaction to their parents, and weird marks on their bodies. Although he had been trained on how to apply this with his first-grade students, the same principle could be applied to any person of any age that presented these indicators, indicators that he could clear as day see on his sister
The brothers glance at each other, and ever the one to take the lead, Luffy is the first one to speak up
“Shishi, really? Do you need any help bandaging the scrapes?” he offers
“Scrapes? I don’t have any scrapes, Luffy”
“Hah? That’s weird; when people fall off their bikes they usually have lots of scapes; you don’t have any, just some pretty bad bruises,” he points out
“W-Well I-
“People who have been in biking accidents, or just falling in general, usually have lots of injuries in their hands, seeing as it is our instinct to protect our face and to slow our fall., you however, have none of those weird..” Continued Sabo
"W-Well, I have no self-preser-
“It’s weird despite having so much paperwork to do and being outed by one of your co-workers, these lesson plans are all completed, and there are footnotes all around from your co-workers seems they really liked your ideas and need you to help them implement them on their own classroom, wonder what kind of person would ask advice from someone they think is doing their job wrong” Ace comments picking up the various papers littered on her desk
“H-Hey don’t tou-
“You aren’t going to lie again, right?” Ace cuts in
“Because I mean, you really suck at it,” Luffy adds
“Do we wanna try another round of you telling a convincing story?” Ace adds, glancing at her
“I -I…” she tries to find the right words but hangs her head after failing to do so
“That’s unfair; you guys are teaming up and using your jobs against me.”
“It’s not fair? Not fair for who?” Sabo raises a brow.
“We are just calling you out on your bullshit, which is pretty nice of us,” Ace comments in a deadpan voice
“Usually, with everyone in the law, we would tear you to shreds until you said the truth. You should be thankful for being so lucky that we’re your brothers,” Sabo adds
“Can I do anything to make you guys drop this?”
“Nope,” Luffy said without hesitation
She groans, throwing herself in her pillow head-first
Ace sighed, joining his siblings on the bed and easily picking his sister up, sitting in her place, placing her on his lap, and hugging her
“Please let us help you; we promise we will deal with anything you may be going through.”
“Nothing wrong,” she says quietly
“N-nothing’s wrong,” she repeats, a slight crack in her voice as tears start pooling in her eyes
“Nothing…Nothing is wrong,” she says as she begins sobbing, gripping his brother's clothes tightly as she cried into him, the same way she did when they were children
The brothers all stayed still; Ace stroked her hair comfortingly and patted her back as she broke down in tears. Despite them all being grown up and having seen their share of violence and trauma, this still made the brothers' hearts bleed, seeing their youngest sibling hurt.
Luffy pulled her into a hug, his rubber arms embracing her tightly, letting her sob into his arms while Sabo patted her back in support.
"Hey now, it's okay; you can tell us the truth now; we aren't gonna be mad."
“I can’t; I can’t. “
"You can, we promise, we are all adults; we aren’t gonna lash out at you for telling us the truth," Sabo said firmly
"No matter what you say, or what has happened, we will always be here for you" Ace reassures her
“No, He said he would hurt you,” she cries
The brothers all freeze at her words; their smiles falter, and their faces all drop, their hearts all break.
Luffy pushes out slightly from their embrace, grabbing her hands and looking her in the eyes
“Reader. Tell us who did this, no matter who it is, we’ll kick his ass! We won’t be done in by some idiot; you’re always there for us, so let us carry your burden this time!” Luffy exclaims
“I don’t want you guys to get hurt; I couldn’t live with myself if my brothers got hurt because of me,”
“Don’t be an idiot!” luffy screams at her, shaking her, ignoring his brothers' protests
“We’re already hurt from seeing you get hurt and not being able to do anything! It hurts more seeing you get hurt!”
Her eyes widen at his words as her sobs become more frantic
Ace quickly pulls his little sister from Luffy before pulling her into a big bear hug and kissing her forehead affectionately
“We’ll be fine, just please tell us who it was; we promise we’ll handle this; as your big brothers, it’s our responsibility to protect you, and to do that, we have to know who did this to you,” his voice was tender and kind. All the fire that was in him earlier has dimmed and was taken over by nothing but brotherly concern.
“E-E-Enel,” she sobs out
Ace is the first to react, turning his sister toward him
“Enel? The asshole who kept harassing you back at the host club? I thought we left him behind when we left that job?”
“After we got our jobs in Newgate School, he managed to find my contact,” she cries
“He said if I stopped seeing him, he would go after you guys. He said he would destroy your careers and your lives, and then he would go after my kids.”
Ace sighs, flickering her forehead
“You’re an idiot.”
She squeaks, holding her forehead in pain
“W-What?”
Ace chuckles softly
“I’m calling you an idiot, did you forget? Sabo is the best attorney in GrandLine, Luffy is a firefighter with friends in all the offices, including the police, and you know our principal, Edward, is a family man, but he is powerful; he would not stand still if he heard this, especially not to one of his employees being under threat and definitely not when the kids are under threat.”
Luffy nods in agreement.
“We are pretty much the worst people a guy could try to mess with; you do realize that, right?”
“I know that, I know the chances were slim, but I wasn’t going to take any chances, not with you guys on the line.”
“So, instead, you decided to put yourself on the line?” Luffy asks
“Is your health not worth even a chance to protect us? Was that your reasoning sister? I thought you’d trust us more,” Ace adds
“You are aware of how idiotic that is, right?” Sabo chimes in
“We have dealt with worse; you weren’t just playing with our lives, but with your own as well; you really think letting some dickwad play you with would be better than taking a chance of us handling him??” The freckled man exclaims
“Also, did you think for a second we wouldn’t find out? And that we wouldn’t get worried?” Ace adds
“I was hoping I would be good at hiding it…
“You know damn well you have always been lousy at hiding stuff,” Sabo comments sharply, but then his tone softens a bit
“But you should have just told us the truth, no matter how dangerous you thought it would be.”
Luffy nods.
“You didn’t need to carry this burden alone; we could have helped you.”
“I’m sorry “
“Just don’t do it again, okay?” Sabo replies as he pulls her into a big hug; Ace and Luffy join him in the hug, the three brothers letting their sister hug them for long, not letting go of their sister, Ace kissing her forehead
“We’re just worried about you; we don’t care if it’s dangerous; we love you,” Ace reassures her
“Now let me see it,” he said, gesturing for her hand
She hesitates for a moment, not wanting to give her hand to Ace; she turns towards the other brothers with pleading eyes, but they all nod for her to show the bruise, so she finally does, holding her sleeve back, and puts her hand over Ace’s, the bruise covered a large part of her arm up to just below the elbow with some bruises and marks on various parts of her arm, some older, others fresh
Ace glances up
“Sabo, how good of an attorney are you?” he says, a dangerous undertone in his words
“Ace! You are not killing him!” Reader hisses
Ace doesn’t react to her words; instead he speaks calmly and cooly
“No one said anything about killing; I was thinking more of a severe beating” he chuckles before grinning wickedly
“Let’s kick his ass” agrees Luffy
“Sabo, you’re an attorney; please talk some sense into them before they get into trouble with the law.”
Sabo looks from his brothers to her; he doesn’t seem particularly against the idea of hurting Enel; in fact, his eyes are glinting with delight at the idea
“We’re not breaking any laws; after all, it was self-defense. We saw him attacking you, and we stepped in using reasonable force to protect you and ourselves.”
“Isn’t that right, guys? we only had to use force after he came at us.”
“Sabo! You are not lying in court!” She pleads
“Who said anything about lying? All three of us are witnesses; it’s not lying if it’s the truth!” Ace says not breaking eye contact with his sister
“It’s not lying; we all reported the same story and told nothing but the truth.” Sabo nods excitedly
“Yeah!!” Luffy agrees with a nod; they all seemed to be one and the same when it came to taking care of someone who hurts someone as important as their sister
“Guys, please, think about this,” she says, turning to look at all of them
“Sabo, come on, there’s no way a judge would buy three brothers having to all launch at a guy just for self-defense!”
“Oh, but there was even an officer at the scene who witnessed it; he had to help us get the guy off you; the guy was just ruthless; we had no option but to all step in,” Sabo exclaimed, continuing his made-up scenario
“Zoro would be more than happy to join if he hears what the guy did” Luffy grins
She sighs, looking at her brothers, tears welling in her eyes
“You guys are unbelievable,” a teary laugh leaving her
“No one is getting away with hurting our family; come here!” Ace says, grinning and pulling her in for a noogie, his smile widening at her small shriek,
“You ass! What happened to protecting your little sister? That hurts!”
"You use that language in your classroom?! It's just a noogie!" he said with a grin, glad that even for just a few minutes, she could just relax with them, forgetting about Enel and the damage he had caused.
"it does not hurt!"
"Besides, you deserved it for not being honest with us; you're not getting away with keeping things from us," Sabo laughs
“You treat your kids this way?!” She retaliates
“No, I treat my students with kindness and patience, but you’re my lil sis, so I have to mess with you a little,” he teases
“And you totally deserve what you’re getting.”
She scoffs
“Patience and kindness”
“You heard me, only kindness and patience, but you’re not a first grader like they are, so you get a little extra care since you’re older and know more than they do,” he said, his movement getting faster
“Not to mention, we can’t put little Tama in a headlock as a form of discipline,” he adds
“I’m telling Tama his beloved teacher will give her a noogie!
“You wouldn’t!” Ace laughs
“Tama would never believe it! She loves me!”
“Im also telling your squad you let innocent civilians be tormented, Luffy!” She said escaping from the headlock and running out of her room
“Oh, don’t even think about it, Shishishi!” Luffy grabs her hand, stopping her on her tracks
“You guys keep using your jobs against me! Unreasonable force, I say!”
Luffy simply laughs
“You should have joined me when I called you to train with my squad!”
“You wanna talk about unreasonable force? Well, you would know all about that, wouldn’t you, sis?” Ace replies, grabbing her as Luffy tosses her back in the bed and wraps her in another headlock
Sabo shrugs as he watches, not even going to attempt to break this particular situation up
“Not my fault! I need to use more force; otherwise, it won't get through your numbskulls!” She screams, laughing joyously, the pain and suffering from her situation forgotten momentarily
“And Sabo! How could you! A man on law watching these two brutes commit battery!”
“Hey, a little headlock is hardly anything; we’ve done far worse.” Sabo chuckles
“A man of the law would know all the technicalities of self-defense,” he points out,
“And you’d be surprised by how much I can witness without being called to court; a few weeks ago, I was watching a student in a bar brawl, and he didn’t even get arrested, just a fine, so don’t be too worried about me, I won’t tell.”
She gasps mockingly
Luffy and Ace both chuckle
“We should have expected you’d put up the least fight, Shishi” Luffy chuckles
“You’ve always been the least physical of the three; you are so easy to tease,” Ace adds
Sabo chuckles, though he didn’t join their ganging up on their little sister
After finally being free from their teasing, she smiled at them
“Thank you”
The brothers all smile back at her
Ace squeezes her hand
“We’re just relieved that you’ll let us help you now.”
Luffy nods
“Don’t worry, we will kick Enel’s ass!”
“You didn't think I would let it slide, did you, little sister? The way I see it is that Enel picked a fight with you, which in turn means he picked a fight with all of us; I won’t let someone threaten my family without paying the consequences.”
I was honestly worried that this would just keep a grim tone all throughout it, but I managed to clutch at the end because the brothers wouldn’t just let her sister stay upset before they dealt with this asshole, and honestly, neither would I. I really struggle with Luffy being OC here, but I look back at all his speeches and serious moments and I think this is pretty spot on, if anything mellowed out
Can I request something? With Yan!ASL trio Maybe the reader (fem) is Luffy's bff (also same age as him), and Ace and Sabo always had a crush on her? Canon timeline, but Ace survives marineford with Sabo's help (Sabo gets his memory back early). So something with the survives marineford with Sabo's help (Sabo gets his memory back.) Platonic ofc
Possessive~..
As the wind blew, you sighed softly. The sound of trees rustling filled your ears and you closed your eyes.
So many memories of the four of you, Sabo, Ace, Luffy and you spun through your head line a tornado.
To think that they had to endure that..that hell of an experience made your stomach twist, You honestly did care for them so so much because they were like brothers to you! To think about the suffering all three of them went through honestly broke your heart..but you did feel like it didn’t excuse their recent behavior that was…odd to say the least.
It was nothing much really..they were just super clingy and a bit overbearing with you now that everyone’s back together and at first you understood but something felt off, strange even.
Every single time you looked into each of their eyes you couldn’t help but wonder, what was going on inside their head? What were they thinking?? Was it memories?..what kind?..was it them?
Was it you?..
Hell, it probably was, maybe that’s why they were just so clingy with you, always fighting who you should pay attention to or talk to. Even going as far as to pull you away from ANYONE that wasn’t them.
You were fed up, but what could you do?..exactly. Nothing.
Leaning your head back for a bit you looked up at the sky and sighed softly, standing up and preparing yourself for the night you were about to experience.
Whitebeard, Luffy and even the revolutionaries decided to throw a huge party to celebrate everyone for just being here. To you, it was sweet and a exciting idea, well at least if you would even get to have any fun there. You’ll probably just be stuck with them the whole time..sighing softly you started to walk the place you would meet up at so you can go this big event.
You were now walking to the meet up spot all four of you had agreed on and you looked around. It was a starry night and the moon perfectly illuminated your skin.The air was a bit chilly but that was okay, your outfit wasn’t too revealing of the skin..maybe just a bit tight for the appeal.
Now walking up a hill you heard distant chattering, it almost sounded like whispers. Furrowing your eyebrows, you walked a bit faster and only to conclude that your suspicions were right, it was the three boys you grew up with.
Putting on a soft smile, you approached them and waved.
“Hey guys! Sorry I’m late..I was getting ready-”
You started off almost casually as you turned you gaze fully onto them.
Suddenly, the whispering and chattering was hushed. Their eyes widened like dinner plates when they saw you and they somewhat straightened up..like they were talking about something secret..weird..
Now raising an eyebrow, you walked up to them a bit confused and even more suspicious to know what they were planning.
“Uhm..you guys okay..?”
You asked, eyeing them a bit, observing them and trying to read right through them like you always could like you were kids.
“Ah, nothing really! We were just warning Luffy about not eating all the food..as usual.”
Sabo said with a smirk, his hand making its way to your hip. You didn’t really know how to feel about the touch..
“Yeah, because as usual this idiot only thinks about food.”
Ace said with a chuckle, pulling Luffy’s cheek and watching how it stretched because of the boys devil fruit.
Blinking, you snorted and and smiled as Luffy gave a comically aggravated ‘heyy!!’ To the bullying. Nodding with a shrug you started to walk to the place where the part would be taking.
“Hey!! Don’t you dare leave without us like that!!”
.
.
.
.
.
Music filled your ears as the sound of footsteps became apparent to you. Everyone was partying and music was blasting. Lights were hung up on the railing of the ship as people were dancing a sone were even singing.
This was no surprise to you obviously, since they were all pirates of course, partying is what they do in most cases.
It didn’t take long before Luffy found the food table and dragged you to the food table. Sabo went off to go greet his friends from the revolutionary army while Ace went to go quickly gave a chat with Thatch.
This left you by the food table with honestly nothing to do until you suddenly felt a hand in your shoulder. Turning rather abruptly, you saw it was Marco. A blush dusted your cheeks slowly as you took in every feature of his calm face. Your heart started to beat a little faster, almost like a drum. Ever since you first met Marco through Ace you found him endearing to say the least.
Blinking a bit to regain your conscious and to not look just plain weird, you put on a smile. Looking up at him casually yet politely.
“Oh, hey Marco!..do ya need anything?..”
A smile made its way to the devil fruit users lips as he leaned closer to you. Before he could even utter a single word however..
“Hey! Hey! Y/N! Look, they have so much meat here!!”
Luffy then suddenly interrupted the both of you with. Narrowing your eyes at him, you held back a sigh.
“..Yes Luffy I can see that..”
You said with a raised eyebrow, turning your head back,you expected to see Marco standing exactly where he once stood with that same calm expression but to your surprise, he wasn’t there. Almost as if he disappeared!
“..huh..?” You stuttered out, clearly confused. Looking around you then spotted Marco and Ace talking. It didn’t seem like a nice friendly chat however because Ace clearly seemed..how to put it..distress.
A worried and anxious feeling then washed over you for some reason. Why were you so concerned? Could your body already sense something bad was about to happen..? Maybe you should go over there and intervene..
You thought to yourself as you took a step forward to go to them. Just when you were about to go over there and attempt to smooth things over, two arms stretched and wrapped around around you, pulling you backwards so your back was against a comfy yet very strong chest.
Now looking over your shoulder, you saw it was Luffy! His grin was stil very apparent ok his face as his grip was so tight that you were starting to feel just a little uncomfortable..
“Uh Luffy..? I need to go talk to-”
“Nah! No ya don’t! C’mon! Let’s dance!”
He said cheerfully, grabbing your hand and leading you to the dance floor before you could even reply.
You had now just gotten used to the fact that Luffy wanted your attention so right now you were dancing your thoughts away with him.
It honestly made you smile because this truly made you remember the good times of just having fun and going in adventures with him. Soon, Sabo took the lead. Wrapping his arms around your waist he gently took your hand much to your surprise and pulled you close. Luffy made a cute grossed out face but chuckled softly, going back to the food table to eat his heart away but to also keep an eye on you of course..
The moonlight perfectly contrasted on his blond shiny hair that reminded you of the cook you met that was on Luffy’s crew. His name also started with an S..what was his name?-
While you were lost in thought, you caught sight of Ace in the corner with Marco. Wait..what on earth are they doing?! Or actually what is Ace doing?!-
Again your thought was cut off by Sabo spinning you around and hugging your body close to his chest. Blinking your looked up at him, taking in all the features you could.his scar on his right eye..his hat..the small stain of blood on his breast pocket..
Wait.
There was now screaming, the scream of shock with a hint of fear you make when someone was severely injured or they had died.
Now in a fast movement you felt Sabo quickly pull you away fro the area the whole party was taking place.
Just in another swift and quick motion Ace and Luffy were beside you and Ace’s hand was rested in your shoulder, clearly not going to move even if you made a fuss about it.
“Wait..what’s happening over there??..why is everyone screaming and why are we leaving so soon..?” You asked, looking around, desperately trying to finally get sone answers from these three pirates you grew up with.
Your asking of questions only earned a few chuckles and some snickers that made you feel uneasy to here..
“Oh don’t worry about it firefly..there was just an emergency at the party..it was best if we left..”
Ace said with a smirk as he walked by you, still keeping his arm around your shoulders protectively while his two brothers followed behind with big smiles.
As you went home with them, they just couldn’t stop asking you to come with one of them and choose a life of piracy..
You know it would so much fun if you joined even just one of us!
C’mon it’ll be fun..you know we’ll keep ya safe..no matter what.
Let’s at least walk you home Y/N..you know how dangerous it is at night..!
You almost rolled your eyes. Yeah, this was nothing new as far as you could see..
Maybe an accident that wasn’t so bad really did happen at the party.
Maybe it was better for you to leave..
You don’t know the answer to everything that happened, but you do know that they would ALWAYS be possessive over you.
Hey guysss!! I’m sorry I’m posting this so late!! But thank you sm to whoever requested this! I would’ve posted this sooner but I had to enjoy my last day of break since I have to go to school tomorrow 😭😭 pray for me lmao. I’ll still make sure to post and a new chapter of ‘enchanted’ is coming soon😉
in your eyes
summary: for as long as Ace knew Saram, she always held a strange gaze in her eyes whenever she saw him. even now, as they are adults, everything about them changed, but that look in her eyes stayed the same
c.w: angst, dimension, au, open ending, Marineford, ace lives, trauma, imposter syndrome, romance (?)
w.c: 1.6k
Reader is called 'Saram' meaning 'Human/Person'
"Ace?"
"Yeah?"
"I won't let you die."
Ace frowned at Saram's words before laughing. She always said the strangest things. Since the day Dadan introduced her to the ASL trio, she had always been an enigma. Her words, her behaviour, her gaze - it all felt as if she was never fully present, her mind always somewhere else, always running. After Sabo's death, Ace and Luffy became even closer, brothers, that they were.
"What stupid crap are you saying now?" Ace laughed, ruffling Sarah's hair. She simply smiled, that damn smile. He looked into her eyes, that damn look was always present. In that gaze, Ace always felt like Saram could see through him, like she knew him more than he knew himself.
And Portgas D. Ace was afraid of that.
Dismissing her words, Ace simply shook his head and headed back to the house with her. Lately, Ace had been feeling restless. He wanted to go on his journey already. He wanted to set sail already but something kept him from going. He didn't understand what it was. Ace never felt so restless. Glancing down at the woman beside him, he wondered, why was Saram always so steady? So calm.
Saram, to Ace, always felt far away. Like her mind was always running, her thoughts never stopping. His eyes always tried to avoid her gaze because it felt as if she could see through him. And there was always this strange emotion in her gaze that he could not decipher. Something deep and dark. Something solemn.
Ace never could find out what it was.
Saram knew immediately that the world she had fallen into was of One Piece. Way before the beginning of the series. Way before everything began. Before Ace's death. Saram saw herself in Ace. Difference was that Saram could never find the family Ace found within the Whitebeard Pirates and his brothers. People loved Ace. Saram wondered why he couldn't understand? (But then again, Saram also never understood that people loved her too.)
Ace was so close yet so far from her reach.
Whenever she saw him, his smile and his death would flash by her eyes. She would remember the way she cried when she saw his death and how much it had affected her. For Saram, Portgas D. Ace was everything she wished for and everything she could never be. For her, he was what she wanted to protect against the world.
"What stupid crap are you saying now?" Ace laughed, ruffling her hair. She simply watched him. Watched him smile. Watched him laugh. Watched him spar. Watched him grow up. Watched him get ready to leave.
Saram watched like she always did.
Ace was out of her reach.
Like he always was.
"In your eyes, Ace, what do I look like?"
Saram asked Ace, he was in the process of getting ready to leave the island - Luffy had gone back to get the last of Ace's things. He paused in his administrations, he turned towards Saram, his eyes meeting her own - that damn look was present like always.
"You have always approached everything terrible trustfully. You have always wanted to let everyone monster. Saram, you are someone who befriends monsters, not trying to tame them, but to understand them."
As he spoke, Saram wondered, was he talking of her or of himself - Ace was the one who talked to her despite how much of a bad person she was - he didn't turn away from her when he saw her fight. (He didn't look away when she killed someone who tried to harm him and Luffy.)
Ace wondered if she knew that he was talking of her. Of how she didn't condemn him to be doomed like the world did since his birth. How she looked at him like he was worth something to be looked at it. Like someone who was not completely doomed to failure. Like someone who was still human. (Her eyes never faltered upon him, even when he killed that man who tried to kidnap her.)
"Saram."
Ace wondered if she could see the way his voice trembled when he called her name. Ace never was good with his feelings - even as a child and now as an adult - he found them tantalising, terrifying.
"Ace."
Her gaze was locked onto his. Ace loved her eyes but that look she carried scared him yet intrigued him. He found himself lost in her, her very essence seemed to always dismantle his walls.
"Will I ever see you again?"
Ace couldn't help but ask. He felt that if he left today, if he left her behind today - he would not see her again. And Saram smiled. That damn smile that always made him weak. Made him feel human. She ought to be a devil. How else could she be so quiet yet so loud? How else could her gaze make him feel so bare?
"Even if I see you again, I will never see you again."
And Ace knew exactly what she meant.
Saram watched his boat sail away. Watched him leave.
Eventually, Saram, too, disappeared from the island a few days later. A simple letter to Luffy and a simple goodbye to Dadan - the bandit may have been harsh on them growing up, but she knew that the woman loved them like her own - Saram was gone.
When Luffy met Ace in Arabasta, neither expected that Saram was missing. Ace, on the hunt for Teach, wondered would he ever see her again? Wondered if he would never know what her parting words to him meant. Saram's disappearance was strange. No one knew where she was, who she was. Luffy's crew and Ace's crew could only hear her stories and wonder, if Saram was as important as they held her, why could they never say anything about her that was not of their memory with them?
It was as if, Saram, had no life except be in their own.
That was the tragedy of it all.
"I won't let you die, Ace."
Those words echoed in his ears as he and Luffy were pushed to the side. It felt like static in their surroundings. Her eyes met his and time stopped. She was smiling. She was smiling at Ace while Akainu's fist had impaled her.
"Saram!"
Luffy and Ace screamed as they held her, her crimson blood dripping non-stop. They never knew blood could be so warm, so red, so dense. They never wanted to know.
"Listen, Ace, Luffy."
Her voice was calm. Why was she so calm? Why was she not blaming them for not being able to save her?
"Don't die. Please, don't die. You guys still have to live. Please."
And as Ace held her gaze, he finally realised what that look in her eyes was.
Since the day they met, when they ate together, sparred together, sailed together, fought together, smiled together, laughed together, cried together, looked at each other - Saram only ever had that one look. That look Ace never understood. Yet now he did. Now, when it was too late, he knew what it meant.
Love.
Saram loved him.
She loved him since their roads intertwined. Since, Dadan introduced her to him. Loved him when he went on that Stupid date with the bartender. When he was drunk. When he fell asleep on the table. When he cried. When he was a wreck. Saram loved him, even when he left her behind on that island for a life of adventure. (Stupid, stupid, Ace - who would never know that Saram loved him before he even knew of her existence.)
And Portgas D. Ace loved her, too.
"In your eyes, S-Saram, what do I look like?" Ace asked, crying.
"You look like Ace. The sun and moon met and their love created you. You did not abandon me, even when I abandoned myself. You're the blood in veins, the air in my lungs, Ace."
Ace wondered if he could ever love someone so deeply, so unadulterated, so raw.
Three people entered Marineford that day.
Three people came out.
Two people escaped.
One person lost it all.
And that was the tragedy of it all.
His True Self Part 2
Part 1 ~~ Part 3
Sabo X Fem Reader
Koala was over the moon when she found out that Sabo finally confessed to you, and she was laughing hysterically when she found out it was by mistake, claiming that his face must have been amazing. She was disappointed to learn of the fact three months after it happened. Regardless though, she was now helping you pick out an outfit for meeting someone important in Sabo’s life.
Koala had explained it to be like a parental figure which amused you. Most revolutionaries have found family, but very few had parental figures. Even you had been an orphan for a while and thinking towards how your boyfriend acts, you thought he had been one as well. Never bringing up someone who had taken care of him while growing up before.
Although you guess he has been here since he was a child, it’s no wonder how he rose the ranks ‘quickly’ when he’s been here for so long, and someone must have taken care of him. You mind wanders to who it could be and while all the top positions flashed through your mind you couldn’t see any of them taken on the burden of watching a kid.
“Tell me Koala, it’s not Iva right?” the only ‘reasonable’ suggestion you could even think of as they took long breaks to go back to Kamabakka Kingdom. Still, you couldn’t see the drag queen, who was open to all, opening their arms to a child to watch.
Koala burst out laughing, tears brimming her eyes, “No, although they did ‘babysit’ Sabo and I when no one wanted us to wander. If you want to call it that.”
~~~
“Are you ready Y/N?” Sabo leaned down to ask as he looped and arm around yours. He had met you at your room, deciding to lead you to where you were meeting his benefactor.
“I must be honest, I am a little nervous…” You chuckle out trying to ease your nerves, “How will I look to them? I never thought I’d be meeting anyone’s equivalent to a parent.” The thought had ran through your mind when you were younger, meeting your lovers family and getting along with them. But as time had progressed you had given up on meeting someone, much less being welcomed into such a homey environment.
The revolutionary army was as close as you’d get to a family was what you thought after you joined, and then Sabo exceeded you expectations and now this. It was a little much for you to accept so quickly, “Please, They already like you. We’ve been dating for months now, it’s only proper that I introduce you two formally.” The excited look he gave you made your heart flutter a bit.
You approached the room, rather farther from most you had noticed. You had been walking for about five minutes before getting there and the smile of Sabo’s face was enough to calm your nerves as he knocked on the door before letting himself in, pulling you with him.
You tense up a bit as you enter, expecting to see someone you maybe haven’t met yet, but what you weren’t expecting was the Commander Dragon himself. He was sat at a table, towards the door with his hands crossed in front of him. “Dragon! I’d like you to meet my girlfriend, Y/N. Y/N, please meet Dragon!” Sabo between the two of you as you made eye contact with Dragon.
Both of you blinked a bit, it seems as though both of you had not been expecting this. Dragon lets a small sigh out first before shooting a glance at Sabo, “I thought you meant someone I didn’t know.” His shoulders relaxed a bit before looking back towards you, “It seems he got you wrapped around his finger as well Y/N.” The slight laugh coming from him surprised you as heard Sabo joining in on the chuckling.
“Hmm? What? Wait. What?” You mind was still reeling a bit as Sabo led you to a chair with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face. Out of everyone you could have expected to meet it certainly wasn’t him.
After an awkward beginning and light conversation, you and Dragon had finally started joking about Sabo here and there to ease up to mood. It’s when Sabo gets up to grab something that Dragon looks at you, “Well, how about we talk about sending you out on a mission soon?” You gleefully fill the room with chatter as he talks about a couple of missions to retrieve something from near by islands, none would take longer than a week or so.
You smiled brightly while talking about what your mission could be when Sabo walks back in, seemingly un aware of what was happening. Placing a bottle of wine of the table as he goes behind you, both his hands on your shoulders, “What are you two talking about?” He leans down to give your cheek a kiss, unbeknownst to you he was also shooting a glare towards Dragon.
“We were just going over the details of my first mission coming up,” You smile up at him, turning your head to receive a kiss on the lip. You feel his grasp on your shoulders tighten and he pulls away from you with a worried look.
“What if you get hurt? You haven’t been attending training regularly in a while now, you may be more prone to injuries.” His logic and voice dripping with concern hit you hard. You have been so busy recently that you’d only be able to go out and train about once a week, and you have been leaving the office each night more tired than usual. “I’m just worried that you may not be prepared.” His hands slide down your arms before wrapping around you fully, squeezing. “I’m sure Dragon agrees. He doesn’t want you to push yourself too thin.”
You glance over at Dragon who seems to be staring at Sabo with an unreadable expression, his gaze softening slightly after making eye contact with you, “Of course, Y/N. You should be at your top performance before heading out on a mission.”
You bring a hand up to Sabo’s arm still wrapped around you, rubbing it slightly in disappointment. “How about you join me on my next mission next month if you wrack up the energy again?” Sabo’s suggestion rings through your ears before looking at Dragon to see his input.
The scornful look on his face is hidden quickly as he looks back to you, saying if you agree to it than there’s nothing he can do. “You won’t worry to much if I’m near you I guess,” You smile up at him accepting the compromise. It had been a sore subject over all through out the relationship, it’d be at least once a week that you’d bring up wanting to be out on the field, each time he’d convince you, that you weren’t ready quite yet, not strong enough, not having enough energy. You were more than happy to listen to his demand if it meant he was trusting you to finally go outside headquarters.
~~~
You were more than excited about the upcoming mission, but you still had to focus on the word at hand. Apparently a hot shot pirate was caught and is too be executed at Marine Headquarters and everybody was making a huge deal about it. You read about pirates from time to time, but unless they crossed into the revolutionary territory you didn’t pay them much mind.
This one on the other hand was causing quite a bit more commotion, the second commander of the White Beard Pirates and apparently the son of Gol. D Roger. No doubt it was going to shake the world, but that would be another persons problem. Your problem was that Ivankov had gotten captured and was now in Impel Down.
The impenetrable prison was not a joke and to try and get him out was a heavy task. Dragon had all but given up, asking you to look into anyway to get him out but not pushing you to overwork. Everything you looked into was a risky notion, you’d have to contact more people, plan accordingly and expect casualties. It wasn’t what you wanted, but Iva was a big part of the Revolutionaries, to lose them would be a hard blow to the organization.
That is until we got word that Iva had gotten free, with the help of a rookie pirate. Dragon started to watch what was happening more closely as you sat in the same room. Sabo was out with Koala and should be back by tomorrow, so for now you were with Dragon, sitting in silence as you watched a war unfold.
The marines had been prepared for resistance, hundreds of pirates gathering to stop an execution and now even Iva had flown in with plenty of other escapees. The blood drained from your face as updates came in, why would they decide to join in such a battle that had little likely hood of success. Dragon seemed anxious but you didn’t question it, plenty of people were about to die and it’s not something either of you would be thrilled about.
You job of planning a breakout for Iva long forgotten as the both of you watched on, mentally preparing for the worst. And that’s when it’s announced that the rookie pirate who had helped Iva escaped, wearing a characteristic Straw Hat, was Dragon’s son. You looked over at Dragon who still didn’t show any emotion but you could tell he was tense. You didn’t ask any questions; it wasn’t for you to know and you’re sure he was feeling more emotions that you could imagine.
You watch as many people try to save the pair of supposed brothers. And that’s when you see Ace jump in front of Luffy. It was a quick and you had to look away from the transponder snail. You had been rooting for them to escape, no matter how unlikely it was.
It wasn’t until after new of Luffy escaping that Dragon stood up, “Be prepared for tomorrow. It will be a long day.” He walked out of the room to leave you with the files spread about. You sighed knowing that this would shift the world in one way or another. The repercussions would change a lot and you’d most likely be the one to help brief everyone else accordingly.
~~~
Sabo had arrived late that night, you only know because you had still been organizing papers when you saw him coming in, he had given you a tired nod before doing a double take as to why you were still awake. “Don’t over work yourself.” His tired voice hitting your ears as he had walked up to see the papers spewed in front of you.
“A large execution and war happened. There will be a briefing tomorrow night, still organizing everything,” You kept your explanation short as to not make his brain overthink anything. He was probably just as tired as you were at this point.
He wraps his arms around you, his head going into your neck taking a deep breath in, “Finish the rest tomorrow. I’m sure today’s been exhausting.” You sigh, knowing he’s right. Most of it was done anyway it was just a matter of getting copies and put in an orderly manner before the meeting.
~~~
The next day you got up early enough to finish everything, dropping it all off for Dragon to look over. It was noon by the time you felt like you could breathe again. You walk outside to see the newspaper being delivered and buy the entire stock, knowing it’d have yesterday’s news of Ace in it and that everyone would want a look.
Dropping off even more papers, this time to the center table as others were slowly filtering into the room, grabbing the paper to see what it had to say as you sat down near Dragon to take meeting notes when it started in an hour or so.
People murmuring and looking around as they read the news, some even going up to Dragon if it’s true that he has a son, but what catches your eye is your boyfriend stopping mid step. The look on his face was the same one he’d get when he was trying to remember something from his past and you had a bad gut feeling as he turned to grab a paper himself.
Standing up as even Koala turned to ask what was wrong is Sabo as he continued to read of the war that had happened. He starts to shake and you can hear his breathing becoming unstable, only those closest to him seem to have noticed his break down as you make your way to him. Before you could see what was wrong, he let out a painful yell, falling to the floor before passing out. Dragon stood up as everyone rushed to see what happened.
You and Koala had decided to take turns staying by Sabo side. He had such a high fever and no one knew what was happening to him. He had been perfectly healthy before coming back and no one was prepared to see him stuck in a bed without a reason why. You heart sank every time you entered his room, wiping his forehead down every time sweat accumulated on him.
Much of the time he was stagnant and barely moved, but every now and then he’d toss and turn, trying to grip for something with both his hands as you’d call the medics to help him relax again. You’d learn quickly that it was better for him to be fully out over letting his body control him. Koala had been with him the first time, not only was he attacking at random, but he was also hurting himself. What had been a small coma quickly turned into a couple of fractured bones and stitches as he haphazardly attacked objects.
Three days had passed and you could handle it, Koala and Hack telling you to get some sleep as they took over watch of the passed-out chief of staff. You couldn’t sleep much but laying down was enough rest you’d need while overthinking of what could have happened.
It hadn’t even been 2 hours when someone burst into your room, informing you of Sabo waking up. You were delighted, a little disappointed in yourself for not being next to him as you quickly make your way to him.
You burst into the room, tears running down your face just as he was explaining he had gotten his memories back. You didn’t care, you tackle his bed, jumping between Hack and Koala who were there. You pounded on his chest as you heard Koala’s sniffles too and his arms wrap around you rubbing your back, “Don’t scare me like that idiot.” The harsh scold met with a small laughter at you stare up at Sabo’s refreshed face. Dragon also entering the room as Koala laughs at your normally stern and strong demeanor is broken, her own sobs quieting down.
After a couple minutes of everyone calming down Sabo lets everyone know that Ace and Luffy are his brothers. You glance at Dragon, wondering if he knew considering he had picked Sabo up from the island they grew up on, his cold face showing a little bit of shock before going back to being unreadable.
“The important thing now is that I can protect those I love now.” Sabo’s voice strong as ever as he grips your hand tighter, “I’ll make sure I never lose anyone needlessly again.” His face downturned slightly, you assumed it was for mourning of Ace.
You can’t imagine how it must feel to remember your family only to realize you lost one of them, another one of them god knows where after being in critical condition. Although you do let Sabo know that Luffy seemed to have made it out alive, quickly retrieving the paper that showed his solemn look of him breaking back into Marineford for a photo op.
Sabo clenches the paper, his jaw becoming tight as he stares at the photo, “That idiot never changes.” He breathes a sigh and you can see a slight smile play onto Dragon’s face at the comment.
Over the course of a couple days, you could see Sabo battling himself. Making small comments here and there, and being clingier than before. You couldn’t blame him though, if anything you’re shocked, he wasn’t mourning more. Still, you stayed by his side, listening to his words and his happy stories of his childhood. Holding him close when he’d get silent and tears started brimming his eyes.
Some nights he wouldn’t let you go until morning, and you didn’t dare leave him. Seeing him in such a vulnerable state broke your heart, and if he needed you there, you weren’t going to deny him that small comfort.
"I just want to love someone who calls me baby..."
Portgas D. Ace x Male!Reader
Inspired by "Good Luck Babe" by Chappell Roan. Hope you like it!
Warnings: Angst, alcohol mention, slight smut
And there he was, all drunk on top of you because of a meeting he had with his coworkers not too much ago. You find cute how your fiancé was so desperate to take things further. He was kissing you as his hands travel roughly to your chest and torso, sometimes directing his head to your neck to lick and leave love marks. Things lead to another and you started to make love.
Or that's what you thought.
His thrusts were arrhythmic. His face red and breathless. Looking at the gestures you make while his dick kept touching your sweet spot, his arms on each side of your head to keep balance as he was close to cum too.
Since you got engaged you had never seen Ace that way, so drunk and needy. So vulnerable.
His right hand cupped your cheek, eyes full of love, fixed on your gaze. Analyzing each of its characteristics.
His eyebrows raised upwards and eyes slightly closed. He approached your lips tortuously to whisper:
"I love you... Sabo..."
Your heart stopped. Your eyes widened. Fuck, you knew it. You always knew it.
Ace cum and almost immediately fell asleep next to you while you were still in shook and denial. Your biggest fear slapped you in the face even when it was so obvious.
Ever since the two of you started dating, everyone reminds you how much you look like his ex. From your physical to your facial expressions, everything on you seems to be exactly like him.
That became one of your insecurities, you didn't want to be like him.
You didn't want to believe Ace chose you because of the similarities.
The day you moved in together you realized that he still kept photos and memories of his ex-boyfriend in a box. Given your curiosity, Ace decided to share what was inside to you. Very embarrassed, he told you that he would soon get rid of that, because he was determined to take the big step with you.
However, he never did, and now you understood why.
Did he proposed to you because he couldn't proposed to Sabo? Shit, that hurts, and a lot.
"When you wake next to him in the middle of the night."
Sleep deprived you sat at the corner of the bed.
"With your head in your hands, you're nothing more than his wife."
You played with the ring on your finger, biting your bottom lip.
"And when you think about me, all of those years ago."
Took it off and put it on the night table next to the bed. You went straight to the bathroom, locking the door.
"You're standing face to face with "I told you so"
You saw yourself on the mirror. You saw him. Was it always like this?
"You know I hate to say, "I told you so"
Tears invaded your eyes, pulling your hair back of frustration. You hit the cold wall.
"You know I hate to say, but, I told you so..."
You just wanted to feel loved, for him to love you, was that too much to ask?
part 2?
Hi cozage,
Congrats for 2k!!!🤧💖
SO, I was thinking about how Sabo would confess his feelings for his beloved one, or like, SHE would confess first? Being so oblivious and occupied with work like he is, maybe isn't crazy imagine that happening 👀✨
I loved the silent treatment one with him lol, I don't see a lot of imagines with him, I miss it rsrsrs
Thanks for lighting up my day with your stories 💖
Thank you! Writing Sabo is always fun, I enjoyed this one a lot :)
Subtle Realization
You knew you liked Sabo. You found him attractive from the moment you met him. But the second in command of the revolutionary army wasn’t as obvious with his feelings towards you.
You worked closely with him for weeks, a constant battle between hot and cold emotions from him. Sometimes, he asked about your day, your likes and dislikes, and many other things. Other days, he only barked out orders. It was confusing, to say the least. But there were a few moments that made you realize he was actually paying attention.
One morning, you were running late to a meeting, and you fully expected everyone to be pissed at you. You didn’t even have time to stop at your favorite bagel shop and grab breakfast.
But when you slipped into the meeting beside Sabo, he handed you a bagel with cream cheese and your favorite tea.
“How’d you know?” you whispered.
“I always see you there.” He shrugged. “Figured I’d just get your order for you since you weren't there this morning. That’s what friends do.”
Friends. That pesky word that he loved so much. He may have done one of the kindest things he had ever done for you- for anyone- but you were still just friends.
It was only a few days later when he asked you to dinner.
“We’re both working late, and you’ve been working so hard, I just thought it would be nice to go somewhere and talk away from work.”
“Sure.” Your voice was monotone, but your heartbeat quickened at the thought of the two of you at dinner. Alone.
It was a nice restaurant, far fancier than what you had dressed for, but Sabo complimented how lovely you looked, and the two of you had a fabulous time.
He learned about your past, and you learned about his-what he could remember of it, at least. He paid for dinner and even walked you back to your little cramped living space, like a true gentleman.
“Thank you for the meal,” you said. “Would you like to come in for a bit? It’s not much, but-”
“Oh no,” Sabo said quickly. “Dinner was lovely. We should do it again sometime.”
Were you reading too much into his words? Or was he trying to insinuate that he was feeling something more?
You smiled, trying not to let too much excitement show. “I’d like that quite a lot.”
“As would I.” He tipped his hat to you. “Since we’re coworkers, I think it’s important we get to know each other as much as possible.”
Coworkers. Somehow, it was worse than friends. You tried not to let your disappointment show, but once you slipped into your room, you couldn’t help but burst into tears.
A few weeks later, you were grumbling about your roommate. The set up was atrocious, and while you weren’t much of a complainer, your roommate and living space were both worthy of complaining about.
“Why don’t you just move in with me?” Sabo asked, not even bothering to look up from his writing.
You stared at him for a few moments. Surely you had heard him wrong. “What?”
“Move in with me,” he said again. “You already stay here well past midnight. Sometimes you even crash on the couch. I have a spare room. You should move in.”
You scoffed. “I can’t just move in, Sabo. Its-”
“Why not?” he asked, finally looking up at you. “It wouldn’t be much different than now. Nothing would change except where you call home.”
Home. With Sabo. Surely you were setting yourself up for heartbreak here. But you agreed.
Three days later, you moved in with him. And while you still referred to each other as coworkers or friends, you also went home together. You cooked dinner together. You shared a bathroom, and worked in the study together.
You never had a break from him, but you didn’t mind. In fact, on your off days, the two of you often went and did something together. You read books together and talked about them over dinner. You went on walks, and trained, and only when you said goodnight did the two of you go your separate ways. Sabo to the room on the left, and you to the room on the right.
It was awkward at first, but you quickly found a way to cohabitate. Cooking and cleaning was infinitely more fun with Sabo by your side, and he laughed a lot more in your presence.
Ten months after you first met him, he finally came to the realization.
You were sitting at dinner, just the two of you. You had made pasta, and you had managed to get some sauce on your face while the two of you were eating.
Without thinking, Sabo leaned over and gently wiped it from your chin, and suddenly the entire world simultaneously flipped on its head and made so much sense.
“Oh,” Sabo whispered, still staring at the place where the sauce had been. “I think I could do this forever with you.”
Your heart was beating so loud in your chest, you were certain he could hear it.
“What do you mean?” you whispered, scared to be hopeful.
His eyes darted up to yours. “I think I love you. And I don’t ever want to lose you.”
“Sabo-” you breathed out, but he lunged across the table, connecting his lips with yours.
He pulled away far too soon, afraid he had ruined one of the only friendships he actually cared about.
“Sorry,” he mumbled. “I know you might not feel the same way. I just realized and had to tell you.”
Part of you was certain this was a dream. But if it was, you never wanted to wake up.
“I feel the same,” you assured him. “I just wasn’t sure if you would ever…” You trailed off, unsure how to finish the sentence.
He gave you a slightly devious smile, leaning back across the table to give you another kiss. “Well I do. And we have a lot of lost time to make up for.”
For the first time since you moved in, the two of you didn’t go separate ways for bed.
For the next Full Moon request, female reader asked the ASL trio to babysit her children. How would Law react to that? Would he be jealous or comically annoyed? Whenever female reader is busy, or Law is on important meetings, she'd always ask Luffy, Ace, and Sabo to watch Corazon and Clara. Everytime Law's on a business trip, the ASL trio would always stay by female Reader's side to company her. Yes, Ace is very bad influence, always give Clara and Cora tons of sweets and 🍬. If you want, you could make Law 'punish' her by having rough sex in his wereleopard form, which would not only make her pregnant, but also carry either triplets or quadruplet! Damm, Penguin's not kidding when Law's in his time of the moon cycle.😂😊
Full moon
A/n: so like-- idk how to do some parts of it, but yeh- but don't worry, I'll try the other half.
My masterlist
Full moon og series
"Don't worry sweetie, uncle Shachi and will take good care of you." (Y/n) said as she comforted Clara.
Meanwhile, Cora refuses to let go of law. Hell, he'd have to take off his clothes if he wants to leave.
Then again, it's the first time the two toddlers would be away from their parents for the night. Considering they're now five.
"Hush now... We'll be back in the morning, we promise..." (Y/n) smiled as Clara pouted.
"How come papa can come and we don't!" She huffed
"You little-!!" Law groaned as he tried to pull Cora off him only for the kid to grip his shirt even tighter
"No." The boy muttered.
"Hmm... What about this..." (Y/n) smiled, "me and papa will bring you and Cora to the aquarium next week, what do you say?"
"Aquarium... And pool!" Clara says happily
"Mhmm, we'll take you there as long as you two be good little babies for uncle Shachi, yeah?"
"Okie! Cora! Quick! Papa and Mama will bring us to the aquarium next week!" Clara said as her brother immediately let's go of Law and hoped down.
It was now clear who Cora listens to other than his parents...
Giving the twins a quick kiss, Law and (y/n) left to go and have their date.
It's been a while since they had a date...
Totally not because of the twins being born.
(Y/n) had to physically restrain Law from anything when it's his time of the moon cycle...
And right now, Law is restraining himself in order to get this date the most romantic it's ever been.
"You are so unlucky" (y/n) laughed, "it's full moon. But you ARE lucky the kids aren't home. So I guess that's a win win"
"Stop teasing me..." Law groaned, "or else I'll turn this car around and just fuck you senseless. Fuck the reservation."
She just chuckled, "I know... But it is quite nice that... You know..."
"I know..." He echoed with a small smile.
They soon arrived at the restaurant with a small chat.
One that would distract him from his urges to just pounce on her at the parking lot.
It was a blur after that, really... Them eating, having a great time, Law handing her a bouquet of flowers, and they're on their way home.
But as soon as the front door was closed and locked, Law let out his tail and ears that begged to be let out the whole evening, he sighed in relief once they were out.
"It was so suffocating..." He groaned and he wrapped his arms around her waist as she removed her make up.
"Why didn't you tell me? We could've left early" she laughed as he nuzzled his face against her neck.
"I want you to have a good time..." He pouted and was on the verge of throwing a tantrum.
"Anywhere with you is a great time, Law..." She smiled as she turned around in his hold and placed her hands on his cheeks, "how's your moon cycle taking a toll on you?"
"Oh right"
Before she knew it, she was being thrown on the bed roughly as law crawled over her. "You teased me all night long" he growled as he took off his shirt
"Technically, just 4 hours worth." She laughed softly once more as he huffed and pulled all her clothes off, "law... You're that hungry?"
"What can I say? My beautiful wife is just as beautiful as no one because in my eyes, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen" he smiled softly and kissed her deeply while squeezing her mounds of flesh.
"You've always wanted to this, Huh?" She chuckled, knowing he loved to stare whenever she'd breastfeed the children.
"I wonder if there's some milk left..."
"Are snow leopards like cats? Really?" She smiled as he lowered his head to her right mound
"I don't know what you're talking about" he huffed, the thought of being compared to a cat astounds him.
He licked her nipple just a little and squeezed it, seeing some milk leak out.
"Law... If you're really going to drink that..." She groaned before mewling at the feeling of him biting it, "... Fuck... Be my guest..."
He smiled a little before sucking the ever living shit out of her nipple, milking her until it's gone for now and switching to the other, all while (y/n) made small noises as she blushed slightly.
Law eventually had enough and sat up, licking his lips.
It was evident he was happy by how his tail was standing up.
"Law..." She smiled as he took off the rest of his clothing and leaned against her
"Yes, love?" He asked with a smile.
"You..." She chuckled softly, "you're kind of a cat."
"Oh please-"
"And I love cats..." She smiled
"Mmmhh... You better do." He huffed before placing a hand on her thigh, sliding it inside and up to her wet folds.
He sat up slightly just to pull her legs far apart and see her glistening entrance just waiting to be played with.
"Come on Law..." She whined a bit before gasping at the feeling of his thumb rub against her clit and his tattooed fingers plunge inside her.
His fingers played with her insides, rubbing, curling them, and even squelching them against that spot inside her that made her see stars.
"L-law...! Please..." She gasped as he pulled his fingers out and observed them.
She watched as he licked his fingers clean.
He eventually settled between her legs with a chuckle, "my apologies if you wouldn't be able to walk tomorrow... Like usual."
"Oh shut up" she huffed
He rolled his eyes playfully as he placed her legs on her shoulders and aligning himself to her entrance.
"Now be a good girl and just keep moaning for me, alright?"
"Mmhhhm..." She whined a little before gasping and arcing her back when Law plunged himself inside in one thrust. "Law...!"
"My bad... I forgot it's also been a long time since we had this..." He chuckled, he clearly intended that to happen
"You little-!!" She groaned but moaned loudly when law pressed her legs down to her shoulders and started to thrust deep inside.
The position let him be as fast and as hard as he can without any trouble, in which he immediately did once he realized that.
(Y/n) soon turned into a moaning mess, pleasure filled tears streaming down her face and her eyes rolling back as Law continues to bully her sorry cunt.
"That's right baby..." He smiled, "moan for me..."
He thrusted even more after that, determined to make her come at least twice before he leaves his seed deep inside her womb. The tip of his dick pressing against her cervix every thrust.
The first time she came, she was still sensitive and Law kept going. Not letting her rest, overstimulating her to the point of her second orgasm.
"L-law...! I-i cant-" she gasped and moaned loudly.
"I know, I'm close..." He groaned, "just a little bit more."
After a few more, Law came deep inside her. Against her cervix.
She can feel his warm seed planting deeper than her womb.
"L-law...! Ah..." She gasped.
"Oi... Don't sleep yet. I'm still not done... Remember... It's been 5 years since we last done this." He smirked darkly, "we're finishing it. Tonight."
"Oh dear..."
Next day...
"Mama... Why do you look so tired?" Cora shyly asked as the two watched Clara annoy the hell out of Law by climbing on his back.
(Clara is a little gremlin)
"What...? Oh... It's just uhm..." She hummed, thinking of an answer to an innocent of a toddler.
"Papa just put a baby inside mama. You'll have a sibling in a few months" Law smirked as (y/n) glared at him
"Huh? But then... How does a baby get INSIDE of mama?" Clara said as she paused for a moment
"Ah- well..." (Y/n) hummed
"Se-"
"Law."
Extra:
Ace and Sabo wanted to meet the little ones, only for them to be more behaved than Luffy who's literally chewing his now much more durable leash.
"Mama... Why is he wearing a leash...?" Clara asked
"He's... Uhm... He's uncontrollable sweetie..." (Y/n) answered.
"Mama..." Cora called, "where is he...?"
"NOT AGAIN!" Sabo and Ace yelled.
The Red Storm - Part II
Fandom - One Piece
Pair - Shanks x Reader
--------------------------------------------------------------
“Dadan!” you shout while opening the worn-down door of her house. “I got the kids!” Ace snorts and crosses his arms over his chest. “I’m not a kid. These two are. I’m their older brother.” You roll your eyes as Sabo kicks Ace in the back. Luffy ignores them both, runs to you again, and tugs at your shirt. You look down at him and see drool pooling at his mouth. “Where’s the food? You said if we’ll come back with you, Dadan will give us food.”
“Want food, do ya?” Dadan’s voice rings behind them. Sabo lets go of Ace’s hair at once and Ace puts Sabo’s hat back on his head. The two kids stand apart from each other and one can’t even tell that they were beating each other a moment ago. Luffy runs to Dadan and jumps onto her shoulder. “Oi Dadan! Where’s the food?”
The older woman grits her teeth and it takes all her strength to not fling Luffy across the room. Instead, she slowly puts him back down and lets out a loud sigh. “Fine, you’ll get your damn food! Wash the floors first!” All three boys complain aloud but one look from the curly-haired woman shuts them up and they begin mopping the floor. “And you,” she points towards you, “go fetch some booze from Makino. We’re out.” You nod and head to the bar. Ever since Shanks had left, you had stopped going to the bar. That place held too many memories of you two together. Usually, you would straight up refuse to go there but today Dadan was in a very bad mood. It’s better to not rile her up any further. And so you walk down the painfully familiar roads and finally reach the bar. Makino is at her usual place, cleaning some glasses. There are very few people in the bar than used to be. You walk over to the counter where Makino greets you with a wide grin.
“Hey! I haven’t seen you in so long!” she exclaims as she walks over to give you a hug. You smile and hug her back, already feeling nostalgia hit you. Oh, how much fun you would have with her and the Red-Haired Pirates!
Stupid Shanks! And his stupid crew!
“Makino, Dadan has asked for more booze. Do you have any for her?”
Makino put her hand under her chin and seemed to be in deep thought. “I don’t know actually. I think the new supply is arriving later. Will you wait till then?”
“I guess, I mean I don’t really have a choice. Dadan will kill me if I return without booze.”
“Good. Come have a seat. I’ll pour you something.” You nod and sit at your usual seat near the counter. Every now and then your eyes move to the adjacent seat, where he would be sitting with his arm around your waist, narrating his grand adventures. You close your eyes and try to get rid of those images but in vain. And so you resort to drinking the loneliness away.
Shanks enters the dimly lit bar, the familiar scent of alcohol and old wood greeting him, but it is soon overshadowed by the sight of you sitting at the counter, a glass of wine in your hand. The years have been kind to her, he thinks, as he makes his way over to where you are sitting, his heart pounding in his chest.
Before he can even say a word, you feel his presence behind you. I’m being stupid. He can’t be here, can he? Agonizingly slow, you turn around and gasp loudly, the wine glass in your hand falling on the table. His eyes meet yours and you feel your heart stop. Why is he here? How?
You stand up from your chair and take a step towards him. None of you say anything. Shanks stands there, waiting to see your reaction before doing anything. You take another step toward him but you lose your balance and fall forwards. He leaps forward and catches you quickly. "Hi," he breathes, his voice barely above a whisper.
Your hands ache to just wrap themselves around him but the disbelief makes them dangle uselessly by your sides as he holds you up. “You look so… so-“
“Old!” comes a voice from behind him. Your head whips around to see Lucky Roux laughing his ass off with a lamb leg in his hand. “Damn girl! You look like you’re a single mother of three!” he adds as he takes another bite of the meat. Shanks lets out a sound something between a laugh and a sigh and sets you back on your feet.
“And you look like you have drank the sea dry!” you retort back. “Did they kick you out of the Grand Line for causing drought?” He laughs again, clearly drunk, and Yasopp joins in this time. Shanks holds your wrist lightly and turns you to him. “Don’t pay him any mind. You look as beautiful as you were, if not more.” You smile at him and your eyes wander over his face, his handsome face you haven’t seen in years. Your hand automatically goes to his face and you run your fingers over his scars. “You’ve gotten more handsome if that’s even possible.” He smirks and runs his hand from your wrist to your shoulder.
“Get a room!” Roux shouts and then chokes on the lamb. You laugh at him and Shanks lets go of your shoulder.
Shanks takes your hand and leads you to your usual seats. The two of you sit down at the bar, talking and laughing as if no time has passed at all. After a lot of alcohol and catching up, you’re both sitting in silence, enjoying each other’s company.
"I've missed you," he says all of a sudden, his voice husky with emotion. You reach out and touch his face, tracing the lines and contours that you know so well. “I’ve missed you too, you dumbass,” you reply, running your thumb over his cheek.
“Why did you come back, Shanks?”
“I had to. We had left something valuable here. We couldn’t possibly go further without it.”
You raise your eyebrow at his response. “What exactly did you leave here?”
“You. I came back to take you with me.” You let out a gasp and shook your head.
“Don’t joke with me!” He intertwines his fingers with yours. “I’m not. I want you to go with us.”
“But…But you said that it’s not safe for me…”
“I know. And it isn’t. But I cannot function properly without you. I have grown so fond of your presence that I couldn’t even look after my crew properly. A feeling of emptiness kept nagging me. It took a lot of alcohol and a dozen scoldings from Benn for me to realize that I needed you with me. Even if it’s dangerous, I’ll protect you with my life. Just come with me, please.” His voice breaks at the end and you have to stop yourself from saying yes immediately.
“But Shanks, what about Luffy? He needs me, no?”
He nods and rests his head on your shoulder. “I heard his grandfather is looking after him. He’ll be safe with him.”
“I guess so but..”
“Do you want to come with me?”
“Well yes but how will I tell that to Luffy? Oh yes, you can come with me! He’ll be so happy to see you and he’ll understand you better!”
Shanks lifts his head and shakes his side to side. “I can’t see him. Not yet. We promised to only meet again when he has become a pirate captain. You’ll have to go say goodbye alone.”
“Meanie…” you mumble under your breath. He laughs and pulls you into his arms. “Sorry, it is what it is.” You huff at his reply and stand up to leave. “Fine you asshole. I’ll go say goodbye. I’ll meet you here tomorrow morning then, alright?” He stands up as well and nods. “Alright, love.”
And then, without another word, Shanks reaches out and gently cups your face in his hands, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. His eyes search yours, seeking permission and reassurance. Finding nothing but love and longing reflected back at him, he leans in slowly, giving you time to pull away if you want to. But you don't. As his lips met yours, it’s like a floodgate is opened. Years of pent-up longing and desire surge through you, and you respond eagerly, your hands finding their way around his neck, pulling him closer. His kiss is soft yet filled with passion, a gentle exploration that speaks volumes about the depth of his feelings. You could taste the sweetness of his lips, and feel the warmth of his breath mingling with yours. Every touch, every caress is like a promise of all the things that could be, all the moments you have missed out on. When you finally break apart, you are both breathless, your hearts pounding in sync. You look into his eyes, and in that moment, you know that this is where you belong, in his arms, forever.
Chapter 26: Sparks
You barely even had to look at Sabo when you arrived home and he said something about needing to run errands, grabbing Luffy by the collar and telling him he was going to help.
“We’ll be a couple hours.” He said with an apologetic tone, even as Ace’s face turned a deeper red.
You weren’t sure how grateful you were for Sabo’s understanding, but you didn’t want to dwell on it and miss your opportunity. Your fingers were laced through Ace’s and, with your heart pounding in your ears, you led him to the door of your room.
“I…” Your throat dries instantly as you try to talk, the heat in your face so warm you were sure you were catching fire in places.
Ace brushes his hand over your hair, flinging aside white flames with a soft expression. “Are you sure?”
You struggle to keep your eyes on his face, but you nod. “I am.”
“I can wait.” There’s a smile on his face, pink in his cheeks, and a flicker of desire in his eyes.
“I… can too, but...” You say softly, reaching out to him, putting a hand against his chest. “I have no idea what tomorrow will bring. I don’t know how my parents will react, I don’t know what kind of impact it’ll have. After everything,” your gaze shifts up to meet his. “I know I want this.”
Fire rolls up Ace, and he puts his hand on your shoulders. “Would it… can we do this in my room?”
You tilt your head, but then press your lips together, trying to suppress a laugh. “Fire proofed?”
“Fire proofed.”
Nervous giggles and fluttering hearts make your steps light as Ace leads you to his room. The heat and tension mixed with a levity you cherish as much as his warmth, woven between your fingers.
Leaning against his door he pulls you close, pressing your chest against his with one arm, leaning down and kissing you. The smile on his lips breaks the soft kiss, and you lean up onto your tiptoes to kiss him back, causing his fingers to flex against your back.
Your fingers curl around his collar, holding onto him even as you pull yourself up, parting your lips and letting his tongue in. The heat rising between you is tempered by the soft smacking from Ace’s other hand as he fumbles to find the handle to his own door, a smile breaking across his lips when he finds it. Dipping low enough to turn the knob he bumps the door open as his arms wrap around you and lift you up.
Your legs are wrapped around his hips by the time the door closes, leaving you two in the dark room, and your attention on his lips. Ace’s fingers flex against your thighs as your fingers slip into his hair, the soft hum that bubbles up his chest shivers against you.
He sets you on the bed, the soft groan of springs as he stands up straight enough to pull his shirt off.
The act itself was almost too much. The dark of the room wasn’t absolute, your eyes adjusted to the diffused moonlight from outside, and the soft glow of the clock by his bed. The meager illumination was smeared against the lines of his muscles as his body moved.
Tossing the shirt aside, Ace grins down at you as your fingers press against his abs.
“You think you’d be used to seeing me shirtless.” He muses, and you feel the blood rush to your face.
“It’s… a little different right now.” Clearing your throat you pull your hand back but Ace grabs it. You could pull away if you wanted, but he brings your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles, before turning it aside and pressing a kiss inside the palm of your hand.
The shivered gasp that slips from your lips makes him smile before he presses another kiss against your wrist. Your toes curl as the errant pleasure slips down your arm. Somehow you felt like you were losing some unspoken battle, but when the next kiss was further down the inside of your arm all you could do was grip the bedding with your free hand and sigh.
“It’s… ahhmmm…” You squirm as he pulls your arm straighter before pressing a kiss into the crook of your elbow. You squirm harder, the oddly pleasant feeling skittering down your arm and into your chest. “A-a-a-a-ce…” You hiss the last two letters as he sucks on the tender flesh gently, the interesting sensation causing you to grab his hair and tug, getting him to pull away.
There’s a question in his eyes that becomes a smile on his lips.
“Too much?”
The nervous laugh that escapes you is filled with an odd sense of relief when you pull your arm back and bend it a few times. “I don’t know. It wasn’t bad, but it was weird.”
Ace leans forward, kissing your cheek before trailing his kisses to your ear. “I promise everything else will feel even better.” Your whimper turns into a soft sigh as he nips at your earlobe, kisses slipping down your neck. “Relax,” he hums, tugging your shirt up slowly.
His gaze finds yours as he shifts to help you out of your shirt. Ace pauses for a moment, kissing the tip of your nose before leaning back.
“You can tell me to stop whenever, mi luz,” he assures you, tossing your shirt aside and leaning back down. Kissing your forehead, he puts his hands on your shoulders, letting you keep your hands crossed over your chest. “I’ll understand.”
“I trust you,” you say softly, looking up enough that Ace gives you a soft kiss on your lips. “I’ve never, I mean, academically I know, but um.”
Ace caresses your face. “You’re not a caged little bird anymore,” he says, kneeling between your legs, his hands against your back. “They say it feels like flying, but you’ll have to let me know if it compares afterward.”
He tugs at your pants. “Stand up, darlin’.”
Ace leans back a little as you stand, and you put your hands over your face when you realize what he’s at eye level with. He steadies you, one leg, and then the other and gets your pants out of the way. When your thigh presses against his face for balance you’re worried for a split second that you’re just going to pass out.
Hot hands hold onto your lower back as Ace kisses you just above the band of your panties. Letting out a shaky breath, you put a hand on top of his head, and one over your mouth as he moves and presses another kiss into your skin. His fingers curl around the band and he begins to tug.
Both your hands are in his hair.
“Ace, Ace, Ace,” you gasp his name, unsure of what you mean to say, but the impending action is scrambling your mind.
“Need me to stop?” You can feel him look up from your hands in his hair and you shake your head. He kisses your stomach again, tugging your panties a little lower. “Hang in there,” he teases, dragging them down further slowly. There’s barely anything left for them to cover at this point, the fabric slipping down the curve of your ass.
You want to chastise him for teasing you like this, but the anticipation has your entire body heated.
The next kiss causes you to suck in a breath, legs and body tensing and Ace pulls your underwear down far enough to expose everything. He presses his face into your thigh again, working the panties down one leg and then the other with far more speed than just a moment ago.
Ace grins when you have a hand over your crotch. From the sound of your breathing and the shivering hand still in his hair, he figures it’s more to do with being able to continuing standing, than you not wanting him to do more. Leaning forward he kisses the back of your hand, making you shiver.
“Go on and sit, pajarito.” He offers, hands on your legs as you sit down on the edge of the bed. “Lay back for me.”
Laying back, you try to relax as Ace spreads your legs open gently. Kisses against the insides of your thighs pull soft moans from you, making you squirm a little. His hold on your legs was firm, but not painful, and when his hands shifted, pressing against your thighs, you reached down, slipping your fingers between his. Holding his hands as the two of you held your legs open.
“It might feel weird,” he forewarns, his breath hot against your folds, voice lost into your skin. “But it’ll feel really good.”
You nod, fingers tightening against his.
The feel of Ace’s tongue pushing past your lips makes you gasp, back arching, and before you can catch your breath, it’s pressed flat and wide. He licks up, parting your labia with his tongue since you’re holding onto his hands. Your toes and feet curl and flex as his tongue rubs against your clit. It takes a few desperate gasps for you to get your breathing under control, and you can see flickers of light as white flames roll off your skin.
“Gods!” You cry out, hips lifting off the bed for a second as his lips wrap around your clit. It’s a rushed sensation, strange and wet and relentless.
Something in you aches for the pleasure, for the intimacy of it. Your fingers are in his hair again, unsure if you need to pull him in, or pull him up, but for now you just hold on, grounding yourself in the mess of hair. Ace wastes no time using his hands, moving them up your thighs and spreading you open with his thumbs. He leans in deeper, moaning into you, the vibrations short circuiting you for a second.
“It’s - something - it’s, buh-building, Ace, Ace!” There’s panic in your voice, you trust him, but you’ve never done this before. You’ve never been healthy enough for something so intense. The few times you tried for yourself you were exhausted before it ever reached this point.
“Don’t fight it,” Ace murmurs soothingly. “It’s okay, I’m here.”
“Please, it’s - I don’t kn-know what’s guh-gonna happ— Happen! Don’t stop!” You gasp. The pleasure is intense, but it feels like you’re chasing after something and you want to know.
Your gasping moans are broken up only when you exalt Ace’s name and cry out to the gods, though it’s only another minute before your body tenses. The pleasure snaps up from between your thighs and jolts through your body. It’s a surge, a rush, and a jolt all in one, and it chases the air out of your lungs. For a second it’s terrifying, overwhelming and uncontrollable, but the fear is just for a split second and the pleasure soaks into you quickly.
The heat of Ace’s fingers on your legs, the sweet pleasure of his lips against your spasming clit, are grounding as you twitch and shiver, drawing in heavy breaths and sinking into the bedding. Ace slows down, a few licks pulling broken sighs from you before he kisses just above your mound.
You twitch and sigh from the soft kiss, the action shifting into something warm and relaxing as he works his way up your stomach. His kisses travel between your breasts, his teeth tugging at your bra even though he leaves it in place, until he’s pressing soft kisses against your lips, body caged over yours. There’s barely any of you left on his lips, but the scent is something you understand.
“It felt really good.” You murmur, Ace smiling in response before he kisses you again.
“More?” He kisses your cheek, nuzzling into the crook of your neck. “We can stop here.”
“More,” you reply, fingers trailing over his skin. “I’m… it all feels kind of fuzzy, but I’m not tired.”
“Fuzzy’s good.” His teeth drag against your skin before he pulls a bra strap aside and kisses the skin it was covering.
Your hands are on his shoulders as he slowly pulls the strap down, his kisses moving closer to the curve of your breast. You can feel his eyes on you, even if it’s hard to focus with his other hand moving between your thighs.
Pulling the bra aside entirely he licks your nipple and slips a rough finger over your clit at the same time, making you hiss in a breath again. You shiver beneath him, as he looms over you. His gaze on you is impossible to miss now, dark eyes watching everything that crosses your face.
Slowly the wet finger presses in, and sinks inside you. Your hands tightening on his shoulders, your legs open wider without his help or command, heat rushing up to your face. The sure look on Ace’s face is both comforting and flustering, and you were finally able to look away when he pulled his finger out before pushing it back in.
“Hang in there,” he murmurs, leaning down and kissing against your neck as he fucks you with his finger. The wet sound seems too loud to your ears, but a tug at your bra redirects you a little.
Ace is kissing and licking your nipple while his finger keeps working inside you. It feels good and you can feel it more clearly when he’s teasing your breasts. Moving over to your other breast he pauses for a moment, watching you as he eases a second finger inside you. You can feel the stretch, a brief, fleeting sting, but you’re so wet and lost in the attention you don’t even hiss against it.
“Good girl,” the words are so quiet you’re not sure you heard him correctly, but his tongue against your skin again shatters any words you could think to say. Your fingers are leaving red marks on his skin, but Ace could care less. You could be scratching him bloody and he wouldn’t miss a beat right now.
He knew he cared, knew he was falling in love… maybe even knew he was already there, but the sounds you made. The way you tasted. How you looked at him. It was addicting. Beautiful and fleeting, he wanted the moments to last forever.
The way flames shivered off your skin. The small sparks that danced in the air from the heat in your breath. The soft sting - pain, but not painful - of your desperate sparks overwhelming what he thought was his immunity to fire. Being consumed by you was alluring, to be the one consumed instead of the one who seemed to do nothing but consume.
But he couldn’t succumb to your flames.
Leaving you alone like that would be unforgivable.
Straightening up, Ace pulls his fingers from you. The sweet build up of pleasure has you hazy all over all again, but you look up as he’s undoing his belt.
“Can you sit up, love?” He questions softly, and you nod.
As you sit up, he pulls his boxers down, freeing his fully erect cock. For a moment you think you’re going to get a crash course in oral, but he pulls a condom from his dresser. Ace sits down next to you, putting the rubber on and urging you to move. With a smile and a few muttered instructions, he’s guiding you until you’re straddling his lap.
Hot hands on your back again, keeping you steady in his lap, slip down to your hips.
“You took my hat.” He hums, voice soft against your skin.
You flinch at the words, your face heating up, but now you knew why you were like this. “Takin’ the hat means you have to ride the cowboy.” You can feel his cock twitch against your leg.
“It’s better this way.” He says, helping to line you up. “Take it slow. It shouldn’t hurt, if it does ease up and then sink down slower, ‘kay?”
Nodding you put your hands on his shoulders again. You were pretty much face to face with him like this, and if not for the relative dark of the room you might have lost your nerve to embarrassment.
The tip of his cock eases into you and you hide your face in the crook of his neck, whimpering into his shoulder. Your arms wrap around him like he’s a lifesaver as you sink a little lower.
The physical pleasure is almost nothing compared to how emotional it feels. You can barely hold onto your thoughts, but just being so tangled together with him is a rush.
“Can you lean back for me, (Y/N)?” His voice is barely a whisper, and the sound of your name pulls you from your haze enough that you manage to do as he asks. “Thank you, I really wanted to see your face.” He explains, kissing you as he helps to guide you again.
“Embarrassing,” you whimper, holding onto his shoulders, almost pushing against him so you don’t lean too far forward. “It’s embarrassing, to… to be watched.” Your words slipped into a moan as you took in more of Ace. Breathing out you sunk lower, eyes on his lips, watching his tongue slip over them before he gnawed the bottom one a little.
“You’re so beautiful.”
You whimper, looking up, catching his gaze and nearly crying. “I don’t… know what to say,” you gasp, shivering as the last bit of his cock pushes in and fills you up. You’re on the verge of crying, but aren’t sure why.
“I love you,” you practically sob, and Ace leans forward, kissing the tears that slip down your cheeks. “I love you.” Leaning forward you cling onto him, your declarations still falling from your lips.
“I love you too,” he turns his head enough to kiss the side of yours and grips your hips with his hands. “Mi luz, tell me if we gotta stop, okay?”
You nod. “I will, I will, but please, Ace, please don’t stop.” You kiss his neck as he shifts your hips, moaning into his skin from the pleasure of him so deep inside you.
“I won’t, I got you, it’s okay.”
Your body trembles with each movement, it takes a few minutes for you to calm down enough to lean back again. Ace has you put your hands on his knees, leaning back so he can keep helping you ride him and kiss your breasts.
He has one hand at the small of your back, when you’ve settled into a rhythm on your own, using your hands on his knees to give you better leverage. It’s enough to support you on its own and the thumb of his free hand presses against your clit, shattering your movement as you tense and suck in a surprised rush of pleasure.
“Don’t fight it,” he murmurs, lips against your breast still as you shakily begin to move again. “I got you.”
You nod, chasing your high you can’t even think of what to say. Pleasure is already soaking into your thighs. You can feel a kind of tightness coiling with every movement. His finger against your clit, his lips on your skin, his cock throbbing inside you, everything was driving you closer and closer. The sweat on your skin is a new sensation, the deep exertion in your muscles aches, but it also adds to the building pleasure.
The pleasure starts to crest and you reach out, grabbing onto Ace, and leaning against him as he moves to meet you, holding you against his chest. He lets you grind into him, thrusting his hips up and pushing you over the edge until you’re cumming against his cock. Your fingers shiver against his skin as your entire body trembles. The sweet sounds that escape you only do for a second, before Ace is devouring them and your lips.
His hands on your thighs he pushes your high for as long as he can, his pace stuttering after a minute. His fingers flex roughly against your thighs, pushing you down and thrusting up into you deeply until you can feel him twitching inside you.
Between trying to catch your breath, you’re both still kissing one another. The fevered kisses and rough heat between you dies down into satisfied giggles.
Ace kisses the tip of your nose before leaning back. He takes you with him, making you squeak as he lands on the mattress and steadies you against his chest. The added sensation of him slipping out of you makes you gasp and he grins.
After a moment you’ve caught your breath, head resting against his chest as his fingers sweep idly down your back. “That…” your mind thinks through several words to describe it, but everything either falls short or feels painfully embarrassing to say. “Can we do that again?”
“Eh? Like… now? Or in general?”
“Yes.” You answer shortly and Ace covers his mouth, though it doesn’t stifle the laugh.
“Whenever you want, pajarito.” He muses, hand pressing into your back and keeping you pressed against his chest. “But not tonight. If you need days to recover after your first time with me, Sabo might actually kill me.”
“He wouldn’t,” you say it with laughter in your tone, but you could clearly picture the look Sabo would give you both. You had lots to do, and if it was delayed because of sex… well, your brother might truly get irritated.
“Let’s just see how you’re feeling tomorrow.” He insists, kissing the top of your head. “This might be enough to have you sore tomorrow, but it is also a good way to build up your stamina.”
Ace combs his fingers through your hair for a few moments. You can feel, and hear, his heart beating in his chest. Calm. Steady. Soothing. You could easily drift off like this and sleep the whole night, but you were going to need a shower before that.
He was apparently on the same page.
“I’ll get you cleaned up soon. I just want to lay here for a little longer.” Ace murmurs softly, fingers brushing down your back again.
