More SatoYura found family happenings in The Sims! Today: some family bonding, Yura graduating, and she and Satoru take the next step...

Let's get to it!

Here's Megumi hanging out at Yura's apartment (they're next door neighbors) and Satoru was there too because of course (again, he's actually their property owner and also Yura's woohoo partner). I imagine it's almost a relief for the Fushiguros to have an adult nearby that can take care of them/listen to them/mentor them, and Yura just took one look at those kids and was like THEY'RE MINE NOW

And as much as I wanna joke that Satoru just goes along with what Yura wants, my headcanon for this is that he was the one who was financially taking care of the Fushiguros at the beginning after finding out there were two kids living alone in one of his apartments (similar to real canon!). But then once Yura decided to step in and play the mom role, he just naturally fell into being the dad of this makeshift family... kinda like main fic canon ♡( ◡‿◡ )

I imagine in this photo both Yura and Megumi were picking on Satoru as usual, hence his face.

And in true makeshift family fashion, Satoru invited Yura + the Fushiguros to visit his big ass house. Cue family bonding time!

Now I'm picturing them in the main fic having family bonding time over board games and such, because they definitely did that ༼ಢ_ಢ༽ Consider it canon!!

Putting the Fushiguros aside for now (they'll be back!), Yura has at last graduated from university!

(After the game pissed me off by tanking Yura's grades when I was playing in a different household and she was was basically held back in some classes, like bish tf is this (ง •̀_•́)ง )

So now Yura has a psychology degree that she can use to become a detective, heheheh. If this Yura won't be investigating curses, she'll be investigating real crimes instead!

Also, guess who went to her graduation ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and also who started taking picture together like two best friends who sleep together but are also in love ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

You can bet your ass they've taken these exact same photos in the main fic

So anyway. With Yura having graduated, guess what? She finally got the nerve to ask Satoru to be her boyfriend!! No more woohoo partners who are helplessly in love, main fic Yura could never!!

Last month, I started taking the dog with me on the first 1-2 miles of my run twice a week. At first we both kind of sucked at running together, but we have gotten much better at it and he has built speed and stamina so quickly. Anyway, this evening I took him out for a poop walk in the rain (N is normally the one to walk him but her body was tormenting her more than mine was) and he kept trying to run. Every time he'd stop to pee on something or whatever, he'd then take back off at a sprint again. He was like "it's Her taking me out, so this must be a run." I'm the Run Person to him

yeah a Whole Damn House would be a bit much, and probably not as useful for the nightly bootlegging related goings on: see, freckle needing to stand around waiting for a ride before he can go shoot people. whereas mordecai can show up to the maribel hotel on foot, or at least have started out somewhere he could get a cab or whatever....and this is probably the closest to any relevant Living Situation Glimpses

someplace with a bed, and one with an art deco headboard....a modern style, so it's neither Antique nor unfancy enough to have less identifiable stylings at all. like just by guessing surely he lives in some apartment that's unassuming enough to live unassumingly in, with whatever alias, so something large & fancy would be unhelpful....plus if he's gonna be fairly rigorous in his domestic upkeep, it wouldn't really help to have a huge place, even if for the same reasons it wouldn't be too small (or old or otherwise unpleasant; hard no to slime mold, slime, or mold....) and like re: the rotating aliases, maybe he moves places fairly regularly for good measure, been at this like, a decade....tl;dr probably has some apartment/s that's roomy but not huge, nice but not Fancy fancy, at the nexus of practicality, resources, and preferences

but it's important to think about "what if mordecai's been living in the caves the whole time" b/c that's funny lmao

Every sim and his dog knows that the military and scientists are plotting against me. The townies cross the street when they see me walking toward them. Even Pol, a pure-blooded Sixamian and my dear neighbor — even he's been trying to avoid me these past few days. Am I a leper? Am I sick? What is wrong with me, ΜØΜΜ¥???

I've always wanted the best for them all. Thanks to me, this town has become a refuge for all those who couldn't find themselves in the wider world. Outcasts, freaks, psychos. Strong women and fragile men. Lost adults, troubled teenagers and special children. Sixam's chosen ones, honored to become a precious vessel for extraterrestrial life. Soi-disant artists, mad scientists, dissenters of all persuasions, marginals and punks — there is a place for each of them in the scorching sun of Strangerville.
