Thank you everyone for participating in this!! The enthusiasm people had for all these characters was overwhelming in the best way 💖 it was nice to see people coming together in support of their favs, and how the tournament kind of breached containment a lot lol. It was really a lot of fun :3

I don't know if there will be a second run or if I'll use this blog again (it's become obvious that poll running is very much not one of my strengths lol) but everything will stay here to remind us of this insane ride <3

It finally happened, I had to cut 45cm of my hair because I'm too exhausted to wash it each week

First it was migranes that made me cut the top half (like the opposite of an undercut, with a bob on top), now I had to cut off the rest because I'm so fucking exhausted from putting so much effort into breathing

I hate it. I love my long hair, and it gives me so much genderfluid euphoria.

It's so unfair I had to do that because I can't take care of it. That I'm too tired to keep something that I keep so close to my heart.

Have you or a loved one ever known a character without a face, without an image? A character that just never showed up on screen, a character who might just be a bit too camera-shy? Well you, my friend, are in the right place!

This is the No Design Derby, a tournament for characters who don't have an official design! To a completely obscured design, to a form they can take but just never did on screen, you can submit them and maybe see them fight against another faceless friend!

To submit, you can either: Reblog, and put the character name and what media they're from in the tags. This way, every time someone submits, the tournament gets spread around for more and more to see! Submit via the form, which allows anonymously submitting characters if you're shy! I still would appreciate any reblogs to spread this around!

There is no deadline! Submissions close when I hit 32 characters!

Rules may change here and there as more people discuss how the derby should go (I've never done this before) but right now, here are the rules!

Rules:

No irredeemable media. If I view the character you submit to be from a piece of media that is problematic, I will ignore the submission.

I'd put no real life people here, but.. I think that literally wouldn't even be possible?

Character must have, if not all, most of their design obscured. We can kindly debate over whether or not a character may count, but basically, a character who only has their face obscured will be ignored.

Characters in an on-going series who have been mentioned and could appear eventually are allowed.

Podcast characters will be allowed, but will most likely be limited to one character per podcast.

If the character is super obscure, and I can't find any info on them from a google search, I may not include them. You can describe the character and their role in their media in the tags if they dont show up quickly on a google search.

Also regarding obscurity, don't be afraid to submit characters from less popular media! Characters without designs aren't too common anyway, so if we have to dive deep for a big bracket, that's fine!

Okay, so I have been reblogging the same picture(s) over and over because so many people have been posting them, but I wanna add my own two cents to what's going on.

I am genuinely so so happy that various QSMP CCs have met up in Paris. I have actually teared up at some of the posts on my dash. I don't know if I can properly convey how much love I feel coming from these creators. It's an overwhelming wave of happiness from people who have just met for the first time in person, after spending only a couple months on a server, streaming at different times because all of them are from different places. Their friendships transcend the language barriers that would have otherwise probably kept them apart.

Quackity has created something truly special, first melding the two worlds he lives in, then adding in more people from other places who play this silly little block game. I hope he knows how much joy the QSMP and their meetup at TwitchCon Paris brings.

We would have never watched Baghera, Cellbit, Forever, Etoiles, Roier, Max, Tazercraft and more if not for Quackity creating the QSMP.

Yeah, it's hard not understanding streamers, especially if they don't have Twitch subtitles, which are pretty bad anyway. Still, we put on other streamers for background noise and actual content because they're just very cool to watch.

Well, the girl running this page talking here, I have to tell you people something.

I kinda burnt out on SCP over a year ago and moved onto other things but didn't want to dissapoint people so I kind of just... kept the page's status vague... Which is probably worse in hindsight.

I just lost the sense of enjoyment I got from putting these characters in silly situations... It started feeling too much like a chore to keep up.

ATS is officially on indeterminate hold. I don't know if I'll ever go back to liking SCP enough to host this page again, but I'll leave it here.

how can singlets fucking act like being a system is all about puttiing on a play? how the fuck are you continualsly calling system members personas/personalties when it's fucking clear that doctors don't say that shit? how the fuck can you tell me that you didn't know? even if you learn about pluality from teachters, schools, the internet, etc. about Multiple Personaity Disorder (MPD), they previous that it's a dated term and at least replace it with (at least) disordered pluality.

hii guys! it’s me, cody! some folks in the splat community mostly know me as bug though. which is also cool. I am the person hosting this thing! I like agent 4 and would do something cooler but alas I’m just an overgrown warrior cats kid and only know how to show character love through maps. I wanna chatter about some more specific details!

There will be participants and backups both! And unless this just, blows up, there will be unlimited backups. If you don’t want to commit to a whole part right away but wanna stay involved, please let me know! Between backups, thumbnail artists, and the me-specific “Cody you’re forgetting something please remember things” role, there’s almost certainly a spot for you. And even if not! You should join the discord server just to follow along :)

There’s 32 (I think) parts. 25 of them are regular, full length parts. To give people who aren’t ready for a big part a chance, I picked two parts to be split up! Two parts turned into 5, accounting for 5 out of the total. There’s also the intro and outro! Those don’t have lyrics, but some people prefer that!

For more consistent information or for faster response from me than my ask box, the discord is the way to go!

when the QSMP is wholesome/getting love from the community: golden hour - Cello Version

This song popped into my head about half an hour ago when watching one of Forever's new videos on his clips channel. The love you can just *feel* radiating from all the creators when they talk about how much the QSMP has united people from different walks of life. I get this very warm, gold (like the album cover of this song!) and pink vibe from even just thinking about how amazing the QSMP is.

Guapoduo/Spiderbit - The Reason (Acoustic version here)

Yeah, this is the song q!Cellbit and q!Roier sang together at their wedding, but listening to it fully, it's the PERFECT love letter to each other. Apologising for past mistakes, and stating that they are each other's reason to be in love and happy. I especially relate it to Cellbit, with the whole Abueloier situation.

Sidenote: We just found the acoustic version while making this, started playing it, then Cellbit (/sys) and I started crying because it's so Soft.

Cellbit - Tudo que eu sempre sonhei

I don't know much Portuguese, but I did a tonne of digging into the lyrics after loving the style of the song. It basically tells a story of growing up with older people telling you what will happen, what to do, and influencing the speaker. It's a battle between who someone is and what is expected of them in any capacity. It just feels kinda right.

Roier - Sunflower

I hear you: "Spider-Man is basically his brand!" yeahyeahyeahyeah. Hear me out. Roier is like modern rap, defying rules, and flipping people off while sticking his tongue out and having his middle finger pull down on one of his lower eyelids. He doesn't dress it like most, but he is punk. Plus, a little goofy and loving and sappy on the side.

Wilbur - Remember Me (Lullaby)

A travelling musician with a daughter at home, left to be cared for by someone else? Need I say more? cc Wilbur has mentioned how q!Wilbur canonically wrote more letters to Lulah, and we know q!Wilbur loves Lulah unconditionally, and very deeply cares for her. He (q!Wil) would be back if it weren't for all he (cc Wil) goddamn shows.

Baghera - Le long du large

It's Canadian French but I was obsessed with Cœur de pirate in middle school, and learned the lyrics to many of the songs in her self-titled album. Baghs just radiated Cœur de pirate energy, y'know? Love and compassion and fierceness wrapped into a bundle of green leaves and tied with twine.

I wish I had more to write about, but those are the songs I know of at the moment. Nothing has stuck out to me for Forever or Quackity (both of whom I have an idea of what kind of song they sound like) or anyone else. If anyone has good song suggestions, please share.
