It was hard to decide but honestly it was "I need you to take the wheel" because like it's the inherent romance of letting someone else take full control of your body someone who mind you has only known you for a few days and yet you and that someone would die for eachother you would let the other take control of you if you had to.

so basically i got a U in my physics A(S)-Level exam (twelfth grade for people who didn't attend school in england). which means that i scored so badly that i couldn't be awarded a grade. and i attended an academically selective school which was considered one of the best public schools in the entire country (my parents' doing, i did not want to be there lol). they had never had someone get a U grade before, ever. so i made history! unfortunately though it did mean that my physics teacher had to be investigated to make sure it was my fault for being stupid and not his for being a shit teacher.

hi friends, if anyone happens to be reading this, i'm just letting you know that my blog has been intentionally wiped - something i've been contemplating doing for awhile now. to be blunt, i have been overwhelmingly suicidal for a good 6 months, so considering i log off feeling worse than when i logged on more often than not, i've decided to remove myself from social media for a long while. i need to figure out how to survive the sudden downturn in my health while doing postgrad and working full time (i collapsed out of nowhere and haven't been able to walk since before christmas, i am covered head to toe in hives 24/7 which are extremely painful and won't respond to any treatment - that’s just the tip of the iceberg, but I can’t just stop working and take care of myself like i need to) sending love ❤️

i actually feel pretty bad for self-aware hyrule because for the 3d boys, a lot of their immediate problems are solved by getting out of the game. stuff like getting used to having to eat and sleep more frequently is gradual. but hyrule has the hardest time even getting out of the game to begin with, and he has the biggest disconnect with his body in and out of it, he has no idea how to orient himself in 3d space, he has no clue what the limits of a human body are. the problems hit him as soon as he manages to escape. he got the barest glimpses of us to begin with and he can't even rest after what it took to unite with us. (although given we have to teach him all these things maybe there is a silver lining)

Hyrule.... hyrule is going to struggle. a lot. seems to be a common theme with him coming to earth in my works huh?

He doesn't recognise his body - not that he was ever able to in the first place. He doesn't recognise the surroundings, he's barely even ever been able to see in his game now he has the ability to see further than a few metres and in hd? to say the least he's struggling

the other links have to be taught to breathe pretty fast and to blend in with humans pretty fast - cause as well as being with you they're also itching to explore (hence they have to blend in yk?) your world with you So was rulie - before he realised how different you are to how he was, all of a sudden after getting out he's 'content' or as much as he can be when he's having a breakdown just staying inside and adapting to one thing at a time, blending in can wait until he even knows how to move his arms properly

and if he can use this to his advantage to get more attention? well you won't blame him will you?

you’re delirious if you think he has just one favorite babycakes ! at any given moment, you could ask him and he’d probably still manage to surprise you.

sometimes steve’s predictable — wear that low cut top? your boobs are the thing he can’t get enough of. he’s eying them, sneaking a squeeze, dropping a hickey when he can so everyone knows that those beautiful boobs are taken. a tight skirt? you can be pretty sure he’s drooling over your ass, especially with how he insists you walk before him and how he just happens to have his hand in your back pocket the whole night.

but! but he still surprises you!

you wear a new dress that he’s never seen before and steve can’t keep his hands off you, can’t stop pawing at your sides, can’t stop kissing up your neck even though you’re definitely going to be late for you date and when his hands smooth down your sides, he groans appreciatively and rolls his head back, “god, you look gorgeous. i honestly don’t think i can let you leave like this— i think i’m too obsessed with how fucking good you look in this dress.”

then he sinks to knees, his hands creeping around your waist to hold you as he kisses, slow and languid kisses atop your tummy. and you laugh, a little in surprise, a little in disbelief because he’s kissing your tummy.

“i would’ve thought you’d love the ass…” you comment quietly. you make a move to swivel around but steve’s hands don’t let you, his brown eyes peering up at you sincerely as he says, “are you kidding me? i mean, it’s great as always—“ he gives it a little pat, still grinning up at you endearingly. “but this—” he runs his hand down your sternum, trailing across the plains of your stomach. “and these.” his hands trails down to your hips, giving them a firm loving squeeze. “and christ, don’t get me started on these.” his huge hands wrap around the skin of your thighs and you have to fight the inbuilt instinct of parting your legs whenever steve gets his hands on them.

steve kisses the exposed skin, his nose nuzzling in, stealing the scent of the perfume along your inner thighs before he raises himself off his knees. his hands tuck under your jaw, cradling it as he kisses you once, quick, before mumbling against your lips, “fuck, honey, i’m— it’s adorable that you think i could focus on anything else.”

as someone whos is also witnessing their parents also building their perfect home of their own preferences, they're also building a separate bathroom with separate closets on their shared bathroom, idk why but i found it fair enough as people with different tastes in organization and hygyene to have this kind of stuff, maybe it applies the same for both dnp, if thats the case then i find it fair also lmao

yeah! like if you could, wouldn't you rather have your own closet instead of having to share with someone? even if that someone was your partner? same with the bathroom. you've got your own space to get ready, at your pace, with your privacy. you can shower/bathe at your leisure.

Something so sick and twisted about the way you turned Donnie’s bone-deep need for attention into something that only brings him terror. all of this, every sacrifice he made over the course of those three months, the accumulative weeks he spent rotting his life away working even before the curse, it was because he felt it was the only acceptable stipulation for him to receive love. it was such an easy thing to topple over because his own struggles with self-worth never made praise and attention permanent in his eyes, over and over again he felt like he had to keep earning it, to outdo himself, and then suddenly his struggles became the center of mockery, just another reason to call him delusional for ever expecting anything, especially anything of himself. so when this happens its so much easier for him to reframe his perspective of himself instead of realizing he's just being treated wrong, because in his eyes consistent failure would make this an inevitability. even before this he's already hid his vulnerability away behind what he had to give in order to protect himself, like his whole life he's done nothing but brace for a blow

and in the end the thing that frees him from the curse is that feeling that he deserves it, sunk all the way down to the marrow of his bones, and it's powerful enough for him to tear away from a piece of his soul that they don't even know about yet. this is before they learn about ninpo at all, and the first time any of them use it here is when donnie literally destroys his :(

he built his identity around exchange and now he's convinced there's nothing left to give that will satisfy them, and that he's never been worthy of receiving even from the beginning. that's something that's going to be so hard to undo, if it can be done at all

aleks beloved, thank you for always enabling my rambling 💞 this is the kinda ask where i wish i could draw because there are such vivid images of what each jaeger/mech would look like to me but for now consider the following in the yuuta verse: 

hiromi and kento used to be co-pilots on the same jaeger, and despite having average drift compatibility, they had a near perfect streak. there were theories that judgeman would be even more successful with a single pilot, and ultimately hiromi was the better fit, which works out in the end because it turns out kento and satoru are a near perfect match in terms of compatibility, holding the record for a co-pilot duo. kenjaku is a much less predictable jaeger, but satoru and kento are the only pair to co-pilot it and survive. 

the zenin family has snuck their way into jaeger mechanics and government control of them. they almost exclusively build and fund mechs for their own family members, and have their own training program they put their pilots through to ensure that they are the only ones able to pilot the robots. other big families and government sectors don’t like this, but the zenins fund so many refuge relief and engineering programs, that nobody can say anything. 

the only good thing is because they tailor the mechs to their pilots, the drift compatibility of the co-pilots matters much less. 

toji is the first person in history to solo pilot a jaeger, and proves that solo piloting is possible, but only in extremely rare cases. he piloted alongside megumi for a while until playful cloud was put out of commission and toji retired to focus on stealing the zenin’s training regiment and teaching it to other pilots in training. megumi’s co-pilot is now yuuji, and sukuna was a jaeger was sponsored by the gojo family (which the zenin’s are still mad about)  

the zenin’s wormed their way into the financial and political side of things, but the gojo family is famous for their pilots and engineers. satoru’s mother and father were hailed as one of the greatest pilot duos, and even though they never wanted satoru to become a pilot, their deaths inspired him to take his training seriously. his cousins and aunts and uncles are a mix of co-pilots and engineers. it’s expected that yuuta become one or the other, but after rika’s death, he decides on the pilot route. it seems to be the fate of the gojo’s that the death of a loved one leads the path to pilot training. 

rika’s parents were scouted by the gojo family and the government to help build mechs. they packed up everything to move to sendai and begin their research and construction. rika was that little kid running around the hangar and yuuta was much less enthusiastic and much more scared one tailing behind her. even though her parents were brilliant engineers, rika always loudly proclaimed her dreams of becoming a pilot. when she dies, her parents memorialize her dreams by designing and naming a jaeger after her, and they only think its right that yuuta be its pilot. 

yuuta and rika have always been a special pair, and so even though their actions concerning you are far from normal, it’s not a surprise either. yuuta was asked to be rika’s pilot, but he also did it because he thought it was the right thing to do. but now, as yuuta watches you recover after he/rika saved you after an attack, he knows that wanting you is the wrong thing—but if he found you through piloting, if he found you through rika, how wrong could that be? how bad could a pilot really be—they’re the heroes after all, right?

anyways enough about yuuta’s pacrim au, time to talk about other ones teehee

there’s a pink wolf in your dreams and it always saves you from whatever impending doom is heading your way: a pack of hungry coyotes, the unstable ledge of a cliff, a group of angry huntsmen with arrows and pitchforks. it’s been this way every since your last co-pilot died in battle, while you were still connected to him. you try to make sense of it, try to find comfort in the savior of your dreams, but the natural human response is to scream and shout and wake up in cold sweat when face to face with a wild animal in your face. so, the instinct kicks in when you tiredly roll into the sparring room and the newest recruit has a head of pink hair and scar over his left eye that mirrors the one of the wolf in your dreams, is to run away as fast as you can. it’s futile though, because itadori yuuji is more than the wolf in your dreams and your destined co-pilot, he’s your soulmate. 

in a sort of post-war world, you and kento are very comfortable in your retirement. you have the respect of the entire world, support from every government, enough money to last multiple life times. the jaeger program is kept in effect, but at a much smaller scale due to the reduced likelihood of an attack; so, when the radar picks up the possibility of another attack years after the last one, kento isn’t happy to hear you’ve volunteered yourself for the war efforts. there are new recruits, younger recruits, even other experienced recruits who never fully retired—he doesn’t understand why it has to be you. he just got happy with his life with you. it turns into a whole argument, and ends with you leaving for your old base by yourself. your old jaeger has long since been retired, and you feel nervous stepping into the cockpit of a new mech after all these years, but much of it dissipates when you step in to find kento already suited up and waiting for you, because there’s no way he’d let you go out to war without him by your side. 

it’s a poorly kept secret that you and megumi are soulmates. with an almost perfect drift compatibility and a lifetime of friendship to solidify your coordination and teamwork, the only mystery is why you two refuse to actually date each other. your argument is that there’d be no privacy or true intimacy in that relationship—you and megumi are already, always, physically in each other’s minds; dating wouldn’t leave room for anything more. megumi’s argument is that he’s simply waiting for you to realize that you’ve been in his head long before your first drift sequence. when people aren’t wondering about the status of your relationship, they often take note about how even though you and megumi are co-pilots, you resemble pilot and mech more often than not: you have the controls and megumi seems to carry out your every command.
