NOCTIS DOMINIQUE VALWUFE, THE IRON BRUISER (character is a woman and butch lesbian, she/he!!)

Noctis is well known as the "Iron Bruiser" throughout the city of Haderia. She is a charismatic and confident gorilla animan. She can be quite audacious at times, though don't let that sassy, playful attitude fool you. She often puts on a front of being loud and rambunctious to shield her true nature. In truth, Noctis is a very angry animan. Her rage has led her down more unsavory paths, so she withholds it behind charisma and spunk. In addition, she can be very loyal, kind, and even loving, though she often doesn't know how to express this more often than not... She doesn't have many friends, but she doesn't mind. Despite that she is a micro-celebrity in the largest city in Eaderix, Noctis was born and raised far from Haderia. Originally, she was born in the South in the countryside town, Riverdrift. Noctis left her estranged family behind in hopes of carving a new life for herself in Haderia, and that she did. From the day she arrived in the big city, Noctis used her bare hands to fight her way to the top. This unfortunately resulted in the loss of her arm, leading her to hesitantly gain her first cybernetic enhancement. This didn't hinder her, and instead led to her developing a unique fighting style that earned her the name of "Iron bruiser". To this day she’s a dedicated fighter and knows how to put on a hell of a show for her audience. Despite losing her arm in a fight, she only came back stronger, further solidifying her name in the pits. She’s well known for wearing her opponents out before striking and is overall very theatric. To her, a fight is no different than putting on a show. Though, Noctis’s whole life isn’t just about pit fighting. She’s very compassionate and known to have a big heart outside of the ring. When Noctis isn’t fighting, she works at the city’s inner gardens; an artificially landscaped area and a trove of all kinds of plants and fauna. Noctis loves taking care of plants and also has a fascination with music. When she isn't in the ring, she's working full time at the local gardens in Haderia. Gardens and parks are crucial to the "ecosystem" of the city, and by dedicating a chunk of her time to working with nature, Noctis has begun to work through her more violent emotions. She might even argue that she's more passionate about plant care than she is fighting.

after long last, noctis's reference is finally done! i intially wanted to complete her design in december, but there were some things i wanted to take some time to improve. now here she is, the iron bruisher in all her dashing, silver glory! alongside obasi, noctis is the secondary main character of an upcoming book i've been planning to write within my "blade in the city" world! blade in the city is a cyberpunk thriller novel about anthropomorphic animals in a post-human world, following obasi and her journey to find individuality. alongside her, noctis endures a journey of her own, and together cross a harrowing path to achieve peace.

Hell yeah we're over halfway done! Isn't that crazy? I don't have too much to say here sooooooo onto the usual stuff

Designs under the cut!

VRISKA:

Vriska has an extra set of arms that they can retract and extract whenever they please. However, they usually keep those arms hidden.

The long needle she's holding is her trusty sword that she's used since her pirate days. She doesn't use it as much as she used too, but it's good to keep it on her for self defense in case of an emergency.

The marks on thier neck and shoulders aren't tattoos, they're birthmarks.

Good at sewing, as she often would have to fix her coat after getting into epic pirate sword fights. Sara and Vriska are sewing buddies!

It is unknown why they're unable to sleep, but while the rest of the team sleeps they often find themselves wandering around and doing whatever they want.

Artist's note: I based Vriska's design off the fact that I wanted to make her look like a bootleg version of the og Vriska. As in "Hey that's Vriska" but also "That's not VRISKA" if you get what I mean

MALL BINGO:

Trained herself to become resistant to poison (and by "trained" I mean she just ate a bunch of poison until her body became almost immune to it... please don't try this at home.)

Often goes scavenging for items when she's doesn't feel like robbing someone. If she's lucky enough she'll find some good items scattered around because "stupid trainers often leave good shit on the ground for some reason" (due to all the items you can pick up from the ground ingame lmao)

Mal lost her leg in one of her first heists, after she and another pawmi tried stealing from the wrong person at the worst possible time.

The gun she keeps with her wasn't originally hers, it belongs to someone else.

On a more positive note, Mal has plenty of stories and tall tales to share. She learned them from the eldest in her little pawmi group, as they would often tell her stories before going to sleep. Mal will often share those same stories with Peppy Jr and Mykyie Jr.

Can and will bite you. You won't be expecting it. Be warned.

GRUNPILO:

Due to his abundantly long hair, Grunpilo often lets Mal play around with it and style it however she wants.

It is unknown how or why he picked up on puppetry specifically, but it makes him happy so who are we to judge?

Speaking of which, he creates his own puppets by hand, from simple sock puppets to marionettes on strings. The two hand puppets shown are his favorite ones though.

Sometimes he'll be found speaking to them as if they're real.

Not good in social situations or confrontation, so Mal will sometimes have to speak for him. ("EXCUSE ME! He asked for no pickles!" /ref)

EXTREMELY light, very easy to pick up.

And that's all! Only three more batches left woo, hopefully I can finish them by the end of the year lol.

Omg omg ok

1. So Amber and Gwanda met in middle school (don’t know which grade exactly) cuz they both had a spider phase (haha)

-Events led to a ‘listing spider facts’ competition and boom besties

2. They both met Pete freshman year of high school. His desk was in front of Amber and he was listening in to their conversation until he decided to jump in with a bad joke and just turn back to his stuff and not talk again

-Then during lunch Amber and Gwanda just sat with him, I like to think they just automatically accepted him into the group

-Pete was just sorta like “huh” and “alright then” so boom besties part 2

3. As said before Gwanda is the responsible one until convinced otherwise, then she’ll help bc if ur gonna do smth dumb you might as well do it as well as u can

4. Pete is no snitch but he’s a horrible liar. So let’s say Amber goes after a bad guy after they, as a group, had decided she should not and would not do that, Pete would try to help her.

-Kinda like “what? Nooo she was with me the whole time. Yeah yeah we went uhhhh duck.. feeding?” And Gwanda looks at him like 🤨 bc he literally texted her (with photos) that he had spent that whole day building a computer from dumpster finds just to see if he could (he could)

5. Amber is always the one walking straight into random shit, as does anyone given the spider-man mantle

6. While Amber and Gwanda are closer, Pietro does not 🙅 get left out (there’s actually three duos in a trio not one) (one would think Amber is the mutual friend and whatnot- NO they are all friends and can, in fact, hang out even if one person is missing)

7. I think Gwanda and Pietro would be more competitive than Gwanda and Amber, at least like trivia wise, especially science

waow 2024 is almost dead!!! gone too soon. feels like it’s been a big year for me art-wise for many reasons, BUT. i’m making 2025 bigger.... hopefully....i’ve made some art goals for next year which i won’t explain in detail but they boil down to 1) do more studies 2) tackle my weaknesses (backgrounds, dynamic poses/angles, uhhh lots of stuff i am a one trick pony right now) 3) get into drawing comics, all of which are in preparation for 4) take my story ideas more seriously and get started on one of the many graphic novels living in my head. i have one in mind i HAVE to complete in my lifetime or i will die, but firstly i’m gonna mess around with some little standalone svanhildr comics perhaps. goat fans rejoice. 

anyway i wasn’t meant to ramble so i’ll just say THANK YOU for the support as always!!! i’m very flattered all of these have more than 1000 notes.....crazy. thank you. muah
