Happy Inktober to all who celebrate (me) aka the only time of the year I consistently post art. My fandom friends and I have been COOKING so be prepared :))

I’m working off two prompt lists this year - one put together by @starsirrah a few years back (that I’m doing in full) and one that several of us put together! 

Today’s prompt is favorite Avantasia album which would have to be Ghostlights my beloved. For a story album it’s pretty vague, though I find it pretty amazing how the lyrics can not only follow the story of a distressed Victorian man and a mind control cult but ALSO hit really close to home about what’s real and not and about rationality vs. spirituality. Plus it’s banger after banger. Anyway this was a lot of fun so enjoy ^^

(My dad, knowing nothing about TMOT/Ghostlights, saw this one and said it looked Victorian so mission accomplished I guess?!)

Naff, you did such a great job writing this fanfic. I’m going to repeat myself from the comment section BUT you need to give yourself a pat on the back, relax, take a break - just reward yourself. You deserve it all and I hope that you take care of yourself for all the hard work you’ve done 💞💞💞

It’s only one meme but dang they always draw Eclipse to be getting that gain 💪💪💪 (bc of how muscular he is haha.) Mad respect to all of the drawings they create - they’re always a banger to see.

I’d like to think this would take place around the beginning of “The Episode Bedeviling Bodies,” where the Hunter is still trying to understand their dear friend and what they’re capable of. I thought it was fitting ngl and included it in the comp.

Hi I'm thinking about writing a h2g2 and gravity falls crossover fic. I saw your post awhile ago and I was wondering if you had any idea on how the two fords would interact.

Hm, I haven't properly watched Gravity Falls in a while (I KNOW IM SORRY), but comparing their personalities from what i know they have a couple similarities and differences.

For first interactions I'm not entirely sure how or where, neither of them are naturally social but if someone were to start a conversation it would be Prefect, and once they realize they're both named Ford P. they'd hit off perfectly.

I think they'd love to go out for a small drink and talk about their outlooks on life, about space, their own traumas and relationships, about their research and studies with their respective books (Pines to the Journals, and Prefect to the Guide), and about their plans for future. This interaction could also be a lot funnier depending on the tone you wanted to take.

Ooooh they could also rant about their annoying family members (Zaphod and Stan)

They would also engage in an epic game of Dungeons & More Dungeons no doubt

Bad news: I don't think I'm going to be able to write for ever day of TD horror week as I'd originally imagined.

Good news: The days I am going to be part of will be Cooking. I shan't spoil too much about it but one day already has 2.5K words and is only like a fourth of the way done.

I finally made a bionic leg to replace Zonovo's scarred one. I like to imagine his squeamish trait makes him nervous about going into surgery, much to Doctor Brennan's annoyance.

The surgery went well despite any misgivings Zonovo may or may not have had about it, and immediately upon leaving the hospital, this happened:

That's the anaesthesia wooziness doing its part to bring people together, I reckon. How sweet! This isn't a coupling I'd anticipated, but I'm eager to see where it goes.

Last but not least, a trader came past and sold me some devil sheep from the Alpha Animals mod. They'll give me devilstrand over time, but more importantly- they're adorable and have cute horns that match my beloved Impid colonists!

Sorry to spam your inbox but last thing on my mind: the Kamo clan has been suspicious as fuck the entire fic. And then just may be due to the fact that there are only three great clans but they were involved in trying to pressure Shiki into an arranged marriage, suspected of being involved with the attack on Shiki, as well as working with Souren, who is either knowingly or unknowingly working with Kenjaku, and directly involved in Jihei's death. I know all the clans have plots going on but what the fuck is up with them?

i'm curious - what inspired you to study russian?

Short answer? I was Hella bored during quarantine senior year of high school

Longer answer is that Covid hit while I was Deep into the Star Trek hyperfixation, and about midway through reading a Spirk fic, the author abruptly pivoted into a Chekov-focused side plot that involved a LOT of transliterated Russian

So, as bored teenagers are wont to do, I downloaded Duolingo and spent the next three months learning the alphabet and a couple dozen basic words and phrases. Fast forward to four and a half years later and now I'm a quarter way through a Russian language post-grad program ✌️
