I got annoyed, at myself mainly, with the revisions for certain scenes within Chapter Two (I know what I want to do— it’s just getting my brain to cooperate that’s the issue)… So, I started working on the rough outline for Chapter Three, and a very fluffy moment with one of the ROs has come into fruition and I just wanted to say that I’m excited for those who are romancing said character to experience it.

I’ve had an idea for a while now that’s eating away at me because at this point in my life, I have several abandoned WIPs I can’t even get to bc no time to write, so my brain says, why not another plot bunny? 🥴

But, hear me out: a dramatic Naruto fic centered around drug addiction

Kakashi as a main character or secondary character who was a user in his youth (Anbu days parallel), went through recovery (becoming a jonin sensei), then sees younger gen getting started and helps them through it (team 7)

Tenzo/Yamato as a friend Kakashi used with but who never spiraled into addiction

Gai as a purist friend who never used and pulled Kakashi out of it and keeps the younger gen away from drugs altogether (even a darker spin on Gai’s physicality could be nice in a story like this)

Sasuke, possibly Itachi as users others see losing themselves

Sakura wanting to use with Sasuke but him refusing her, which she sees as rejection, but it goes much deeper than that

Basically, this theme can expand into the ninja world and so many parallels can be found. I would read the hell out of this, but no time to write, so if anyone finds this post and gets inspired, please have at it and let me know it exists!

I personally see/envision this as a modern AU, but it can totally work in the canon universe too. Ugh. Anyway, I will take reading recs from anyone who wants to share something similar.

I once again apologize for not posting regularly, and for being pretty quiet, I’m currently swamped with trying to get things sorted with college since I start at the end of February and whenever I have the chance and the drive to write…the muses abandon me and I just end up daydreaming 😅😔.

I’m currently working on a oneshot and trying to update all of my series and AU’s. Hopefully I’ll have one out soon for you guys 🥰! I’m also thinking of maybe trying to do an ask game or some little “1 day event” to celebrate this blog being 3 years old, but I don’t know yet 🤔.

sorry I’ve been a bit MIA the last couple weeks. I’ve been working hard at my current rotation and really truly been enjoying every day that I work at this clinic I’ve been at for the last few weeks. I’m doing my best to not think about NAVLE results and instead just been enjoying working at the clinic I’m externing at and it’s just been so amazing and I love all the doctors and techs at this clinic and I’m just really happy and it’s been such a lovely reminder of why I want to be a vet!

but don’t worry, a new fic is coming soon! my goal is to do lots of writing this weekend :)
