Hrrrrmmmmm okkaaaay soooooo

this is a sketch comic i drew last year (November 2023) shortly after finishing Ennie's Lobby and starting a new full time job. I didn't really write a script for it and i finished it in 2 weeks... this is completely unedited and just how i made it a year ago (lol rip good luck)

when i tell you i have never responded to anything more passionately in my life that is the truth... idk i fell into a coma or something, it was crazy

Okay I'm sure this gets said like 10000 times a day but I just like. love how creative shifters are. Like, y'all spend HOURS coming up with DRs and backstories and lore and drama and scenarios and drawings and edits and writings and affirmations and subliminals. Shifters are some of the only people I know who will write thousands of words about a place they've never been to but know like the back of their hand. Shifters are some of the only people I know who will learn totally new skills just to bring their vision of their home to life. Shifters are some of the only people I know who get this passionate and creative and dedicated when it comes to their dreams. It's uh kinda inspiring?? And beautiful?? I know these actors have life's; I have more respect for them than anyone else. Since I was little, I remember seeing the superhero films growing up and I would always wonder to myself "What If they were told from my point of view?" I know people might it's not an original idea, the superhero genre had been around for a while and that it has been done to death. But I put myself in this genre and basically telling my life story but with heroes that are inspired by people I knew in real life. I've had 20 years to develop these characters, to make sure my vision is done right, I know some of these people were already superheroes but I you let me explain they are interesting with the most emotional stories. If I had to elevator pitch this, it would be: Imagine superheroes mixed with Black Ops and at the heart are these two heroes (Powell and Henwick) who form a bound due to their tragic pasts. Where in the real world, instead of greed, optimism and saving cats out of trees they learn what's it like to be alive and human. My name is Peter Kelly, I hope you share this at least someone and I apologize for reposting this story a lot this will be the last time because I understand, Marvel and DC have such gigantic fanbases, I Just want you all to know that this isn't just a fan post on reddit, this is a passion project that I have had since middle school as a lover of the entertainment industry with actors, performers, screenwriters, showrunners, producers and directors. I'm always dedicated, committed, persistent and hard working when I come to making my dream a reality. This newfound idea that Silco took Powder in because she reminded him of Felicia makes me wanna gouge my eyes out. I'm sorry for being harsh, I guess, but I hate that their relationship has been reduced to Silco's past friendship with Jinx's mother. It strips Silco of his complexities, of that uncomfortable, unhealthy side of his relationship with Jinx that is, in my opinion, absolutely essential to their bond because it reflects just how damaged Silco was. He took Powder in because he saw himself in her; a broken, sobbing little girl whose words perfectly paralleled his own: "She is not my sister anymore", "he is not my brother anymore". Silco fostered Jinx's violence because she needed to become what they - Piltover - feared, all the while Jinx weakened him, held his hand as she led him to his demise. Maybe I'm too picky, but I feel like Silco's and Powder's first meeting loses all of its weight if you go down the "he saw Felicia in her" route. Idk
